On the Run (Foolish and Silver)

Felix stared out behind him, looking across the frozen tundra of Russia. He was an ice elemental, one of the last. His people were being hunted into near extinction, making it necessary for him to hide what he was. He'd gone to a school for a long time with normal kids, but the humans were getting better at figuring out which kids were elemental and which were human. His uncle had been worried that he'd be discovered, and so they were on the move. Felix struggled to keep up as his uncle practically flew through the woods. He suddenly stopped and looked at his nephew. "You'll be staying alone now. You're on your own." Felix nearly choked. "Alone?" He whispered, but realize his uncle was gone. He'd known the man had been a human, but still, he'd thought his uncle would take care of him always. After all, he'd promised Felix's parents that he'd do so. It seemed that people changed over time. People broke promises and forgot the people they promised to. He wandered aimlessly, trying to think on what he'd do. He had just enough food to last a few days, maybe a week if he stretched it. He didn't need fire. After all, I've ran in his veins. Water would be easy to find if he could just eat snow. Survival would be hard, but maybe he'd run into others over time. There were rumors that other elementals resided in these forests. Then again, there were also hunters who craved elemental skin. Different elementals could provide different powers for the humans if they got their hands on a piece of the elemental's body. He shuttered as he thought that over. He wanted to keep himself intact.

Felix wandered on for hours until he found a particularly large tree that seemed to be suitable for shelter. He climbed to the highest branches he could and curled up on a branch, looking at the world below. This world was a harsh one, full of hatred and evil people. He could hear the animals that moved around in the snow. He felt like one of them, hiding from predators and looking for prey. He managed to kill a deer with a long ice shard that he created, stabbing it cleanly through the neck. He considered the dead animal, then skinned it. He pulled open his nap sack and looked inside. He had a easy fire started kit, so he started one, cooking the meat to tenderness. Once he finished eating, he put out the fire and moved along, trying to cover his trail as good as he could.

Name: Jun Skyrinski
Age: 20

Jun was born and elemental and raised to be normal. He was the only one with the gift to control plants around him. He had kept it secret from the world. After the war hit, Jun's father would take him hunting to pay the bills. Jun's father hunted the remaining Elementals. His father had been a ruthless man until the day he died. He was killed by Jun, by accident. Jun now hunted the elementals to carry on what his father did. His mother and other family members died out trying to survive the cold. Jun hadn't been there. He had his own place that he kept with warmth and comfort. He had no clue that they were sick.

No one still knows that Jun is an elemental. He just hunts them for money. Like a bounty Hunter. He uses his gift to capture these pieces of scum. Only to be called a traitor many times and in many languages. Though no one had proved that he was a Elemental. Jun was hunting right now. He had found a trial and was following it. He also hunted animals for food.

Felix moved along, getting slower and slower as time went by. He was tired beyond belief, and only wanted to rest for a moment. A noise cause him to stop, his heart racing. He could hear someone following after him. Footsteps...human ones. He ran off in the other direction, managing to effectively trip himself. He slapped a hand over his own mouth as pain shot up his leg. He looked down and realized he'd twisted his ankle. He couldn't even get up. He tried to drag himself into hiding, but was having trouble dragging himself along. He knew if he was found he was a goner, and this spurred him on as he panicked.
