Short bio:Maria grew up livening with her parents since she was a child. once she turn 17 years old she moved out of there house. she moved to this beach side city to live in since she love's the water so much. she work's at a shaved ice/candy shop on the beach that is not to far form the water. each day she go's for a swim after work to relax.

Age: 19
Short Bio: The youngest member of the merfolk royals. His older brother will get the crown when his father dies. His older sisters pampered him as a child with stories of humans and peeked his curiosity. The markings on his chest, arm and face were all there from the day he was born. The jewelry he has was either scavenged, made from coral or made from shells.

Maria was lucky today was her off day form work yet at times. she would volunteer her time to the shop are to other shop's on her off days. the teenager lives in apartment complex with some high school friends. the apartment is three miles away form the beach so it's not far away. Maria walks on to the beach with her sundress on a pure white one. yet had a swim suite on underneath it. as well a straw hat on her head plus,beach bag hanging form her right arm.

He remembered the warnings about going to the beach, not that they caused him to be concerned, in actuality it caused him to feel brave. Approaching he found a rock not too far from the shore, playing with the coral necklace watching the humans go around doing their own thing. He smiled to himself leaning on the rock slightly he watched them walk past, keeping his tail as still as possible. His back fin was hidden from sight by him keeping himself upright. He was fascinated by the leg-kin and couldn’t help but smile watching how they played in the water.

Once at the beach she walks off to a changing tent since it was rude. even to take your cover clothes off in public is rude. it takes her a few minutes to find the right tent then get's changed. after words she hold's on to her beach bag,with her hat on her head. yet start to run down to sea water to go swimming. she stops once to set her stuff down by some shady rocks. she takes her hat off and then put it in to her beach bag. she had pulled her hair up in to a long pony tail. Maria jumps in to the water starts to swim around yet giggles.

He'd hear someone laughing as they swam alone and he watched her from his rock, he watched how she moved mimicking the arm movements, he found himself laughing at how stupid he felt, then he dove behind his rock again realizing for a moment he'd been out in the open. he peered round once more watching her some more.

Maria starts to sing yet could not help but laugh once in a while. she loved trying to dive in the end of the water. but today she would not do that just yet for now time to swim. she could do that later in the day after lunch maybe? after a few minutes Maria moves to swim past a rock but. hope no man would come around this area mostly cause. some of the guy's come to this beach are peeking toms.

He'd see her moving his way and dove behind the rock, listening to her sing, keeping his tail beneath the waves. He pushed his back up against the rock he'd cough to let her know he was there sinking his body down so only his head was above the water. He muttered "uh... you have a nice singing voice..."

She stops swimming when hearing someone speaking to her. "How's there?" Maria ask first before noticing there was a guy in the water as well. she blush's a bit wondering how she had not notice him before in the water. "Oh why thank you and I have not seen you here before. are you new to the area around here?" she ask the guy carefully knowing sometimes. people you meet at first mighty be shy are at other times even. in the day time some people would get drunk then swim in the oceans blue waters.

He remained hidden smiling at the curious human, he chuckled softly. "I've lived nearby my whole life... it's rare for me to come to the beach though." watching her round the rock before hiding again. A human would find the blue hair and markings odd, he'd been told this by his older sister's it was why he had never been granted a human form like his oldest sister had.

"But the beach is so much fun plus at night. we have bond fires on the beach in the summer time. everyone is welcomed to come as long don't pick fights with others." Maria says in a happy voice yet truth be tolled she wonder why. she could not see his face for? to her it's sort of odd to only hear a person's voice when first meeting them. she sits by the rock since it was only some what deep. truth be tolled she wanted to see what he look's like. Maria had seen all sort's of cool are crazy people before so if. his hair was dyed a different color or got some tattoos on his body. the young woman had seen it before on other men.

He placed a hand on the rock once he saw she had sat on the other side, peering round he laugh "I've never been before because my family forbid it, they say it's too dangerous, my sister has been once or twice though." he watched her reaction as she continued to talk his face just in sight. "She's got purple hair and eyes, so im sure she stands out if you've seen her..."

Maria thinks for a few minute yet fiddles with her clover necklace. "I think I may have seen here before but people around here. have started to dye there hair after watching. some type of rock band play on the beach a few months ago." she explains to the man so far she had not look up. to take a look at his face mostly cause. she'd been trying to be nice to him when. they first started to talk with each other.

Maria look's over her shoulder to take a look at him. she was not shock by the blue his green hair. but notice a tattoo around by one side of his face. "Wow how did your cool tattoo man? I have one on my right shoulder. but I don't think it is cool as yours." Maria says as she turn's a bit so he could see her tattoo on her right shoulder. the tattoo was a baby sea lion pup with a heart around it.

He was glad about the hair dying think these humans seemed to have decided to start doing. He watched as she turned seeing him, he initially wanted to hide but then she commented on his markings, tattoos she called them. He knew what a tattoo was and that no human was born with them. He smiled slightly “I’ve had them since I was little, my sister… the one with purple hair. She says I got them from our dad.” This wasn’t really a lie but he managed to keep low looking at hers. It was pretty cool and he smiled round the rock at her. “I should be getting home soon though, before my parents freak out… my name is Raquel,” he looked down towards his tail. He could dimly see his older sister underneath, waiting; he’d probably be scolded. “There is a storm coming too so you should probably go to the shore.” He wasn’t supposed to inform humans of these things but he needed her to leave. “I’ll meet you here tomorrow if you want, same time?”

"My name is Maria and thank you I'll head back to shore right away. I don't think I'll be able to meet with you at the same time I have work. till 7pm I start work at 7am each day." Maria explains to Raquel before she start's to swim back to shore. she would have to check the tv to make sure if there is a storm coming for sure are not.

He nodded slightly before laughing "then i will see you after work, i'll wait for you by the rock." once she was out of sight he dove down to his sister, her hair billowing elegant in the water. "i told father you were out hunting, come on quickly." he swam after her he would sneak off again and see maria tomorrow.

The next day he told his father he was going hunting again. He swum up to the rock looking at the setting sun, this meant it was at least 7pm; he waited by the rock.

The young woman had been working hard all day long once. she notice it was 7pm she clock out right away then start. to head off to the place she had been swimming around the other day. when working Maria wares her swim suit to go swim on her breaks. other then just eat her lunch she brings with her. if it's a slow day at work she could bring squirt gun in to the store. to play water tag with her co-worker's for some fun. once by the rock's she sets her bag down. then kicks her flip flops off of her feet to go swim in the water.

He'd wait by the rock and when he sees her he waves, his sister had taken a human form and sat on the beach watching them. He waited for her to come closer to where he was. "I'm glad you came back Maria, did you have a nice day at work?"

"Hello Raquel and it was a pretty busy day. they are going to have a bond fire tonight. on the other end of the beach but it get's to loud at times. so I like to stay away form them till the start to cook. some hot dogs are something else by then people will clam down a lot." she says to him while walking in to the water. this time she had left her hat at. but her hair was up in pigtails today not a pony tail like the day before.

He smiled at her "Your hair looks nice today, i know about the bonfire, my sister is there." He had decided he would tell her today about what he was, he wanted to stop hiding to talk to her face-to-face. He watched her to make sure she was still there. "Are you good at keeping secrets?"

Maria starts to swim around while she listens to him talk. "I think I am but I'm not all to sure to be honest." Maria says to her friend yet blush when he heard she look nice. she all ways had trouble with keeping big secrets as a child.

He let his tail break the water at his side. "well if you dont keep this i could be in big trouble, he let himself be seen, he couldn't help but hold his breath as his tail flickered beneath him to keep him afloat his back fin bristling in anticipation and worry.

"Oh my goodness your a merman? but I heard the merpeople was just a old wise tail are a mith." she says while trying to stay clam yet a gasp past by her lips. Maria was not going to scream,she did not want a hole bunch of people. to come run over then try caught are hurt him. yet wonder what could are would happen if she tell's one of her room mates?

He laughed "and i heard humans are cruel hideous creatures who would turn us in to food if caught or merely kill us... we all hear rumors." letting his tail flick in excitement. His sister would wade in to the water grabbing his arm when he looked at her, her body was still human and her clothes soaked. "You idiot Raquel..." she scolded him in a hushed tone. "look im not telling dad this once but if he finds out his son, a prince of Antlantia is hanging around with a human he will flip out so you better be safe, im going home..." she turned and dove in to the water her clothes fading in to the mass as her purple tail formed from her legs.

Maria swims around yet notice the girl's legs turn in to a purple tail. yet wish she could be like them just for a few days. since she loves to swim so much plus could give up meat. the young woman was use to eat mostly vegetables. back in high school cause she could not trust the food at her school some days.
