Piper huffed as she sat in the cold dungeon in the very back cell alone. She had been there for some time now... since her love had lost his memory really. She missed being upstairs and interacting with everyone... she missed her love... she hadn't seen him since maybe a day after she was incarserated. Why did he have to take that artifact? Why couldn't they just leave it alone when they found it? She wasn't sure but what she did know was that she missed everything that she no longer had being down in the dungeon... especially the sun on her face and the wind in her hair... and the love of her dearest one.

Kazura sat on his ice throne as he listened to the morning reports from his second-in-command, Lazarus. He looked at a servant demon as it wheeled in his breakfast and stopped near the lord. The demon made a small cup of the tea to taste before offering to his lord. But as the demon fell over from the poisoned tea, the lord looked the corpse and sighed as he looked at his second. "Do we have any prisoners that can be servants?" He asked as he looked over at his second. "Get one that's been in for a long time." The second bowed before leaving and heading towards the prison.
Lazarus walked through the cells and looked at the females in their cells. He stopped in front of one with red hair and stood there in front of her cell. "What is your name?" |
"I am Piper Tameiki... why do you ask? Has Kazura finally gotten his memory back?" Piper asked curiously though knew that if the male didn't know about Kazura before then he wouldn't know what she was talking about at all. She slowly stood brushing off her tattered and a bit ragged clothes before looking back at the rather important looking male.

Lazarus looked at her and remembered seeing her with Kazura before he went searching for the Ice amulet. He shook his head and looked at her. "He is looking for a new servant. I thought if you were close to him, it might bring his memory back." As his best friend, Lazarus felt that it was his job to help bring the real Kazura back to them. "What do you think?"

(you mean Kazura? You kept saying Lazarus)
"I'm sorry... it's been so long, I didn't recognize you at all." Piper said softly before smiling a little and nodding. She wasn't happy that Kazura still couldn't remember anything but she did hope that she could refresh his memory and bring back the old him. Of course she looked quite different now then she had before... she was skinnier and paler then she ever had been before. |

"I can say the same for you. I barely recognized you. Have you been treated properly?" He asked her as his eyes glanced over her. "You look skinnier than before." Lazarus said to her as he looked at her vibrant eyes. "But will you become a servant to Kazura? I'd have to take you to him to see if he would accept you but will you consider it?" The second said as he waited for her answer before looking for a guard to release her. |
"Unfortunently I can not say that I have... they only give me food maybe once or twice a week and there's one guard that comes it and tries to beat me almost every other day... sometimes I can keep him from hurting me but he normally manages to do some damage." Piper said softly then held her side slightly though looked at Lazarus and nodded. "I will do anything to get him back, and maybe if I'm around him more he'll remember more." she said softly though kept her hand firmly gripped to her side.

"We'll fix that as soon as we get you out of here." Lazarus said as he fetched a guard and told him to get a doctor. The guard unlocked her door as Lazarus went in to help her out of the cell. "Don't worry. I'll have a doctor tend to you, a bathe drawn for you, and some food made for you." He said as a maid was brought down and put in the row of cells that were empty. That was were the assassins were held but usually became empty as soon as they were occupied. "Let's hope you jog his memory soon."

"Okay... thank you Lazarus, thank you so much." Aisuru said softly though as soon as she started to walk a bit she felt very weak and nearly collapsed from the pain and malnutrition. She knew she wasn't well but she didn't think as soon as she could finally stand and walk about this would happen... she hadn't really stood much at all in the last few years... only to go to the bathroom really and that was just a foot away from where she normally sat since there was no bed in the cell.

"Your welcome, Piper." His arms went around her as she began to collapse. Lazarus carried her up from the prison to the doctor's office and laid her on the bed. "She was clenching her side and seems to have collapsed." He said as his eyes went to the doctor then back to Piper. The second waited for the doctor to treat her so he could make sure that she was cleaned up and fed.

Piper groaned a bit as she was picked up and was still slightly conscious but was really weak. The doctor looked at her and moved her robe to see a large self mended gash in her side and frowned. "I have a feeling there's more where this came from... could you please leave so I may check for the others?" the woman said softly since she was sure that there were many more marks all over the girl but that was the only one she could tell for now was infected.

Lazarus was shocked at the large gash on her side and grew angry that she had been treated this way. But he could not do anything since the guards were doing their jobs and scowled as he looked at the doctor. His eyes went to Piper before he left the room and growled as he bit his lip until it drew blood. "Please, let her pull through. For Lord Kazura's sake." The second went to report to his friend and lord.

After about an hour or so the doctor was done and had Piper taken to a room where she stayed fast asleep for some time and they sent a servant out to tell Lazuras that she would be okay and was just in a room resting. The problem still remained though that she hadn't eaten much and that she was still very weak... but that could be cleared up pretty quickly.

Kazura was in his study with his second received a message about his new servant. "What condition was she in, Lazarus?" The lord asked without looking up from his papers as he continued reading. "She was beaten and hungry, sir. But hopefully will recover quickly." His second said as he hoped that he would recognize her and feel bad for what she went through. Kazura's ice blue eyes went to his second and thought. "Make sure she is fed and bathed before bringing her to me." Lazarus nodded and bowed before leaving to make sure that food was being prepared for her.

Piper had been asleep for about two or three hours before she finally awoke dazed and confused. She looked around the room then just laid her head down remembering that Kazura had taken her from the dungeon and had had some servants heal her for the most part... but she could still feel some inner pain and didn't think she'd be able to stand for at least a few days on her own... or at all without passing out.

A maid arrived after she woke up and asked her if she needed anything. She sent word to Lazarus that Piper had awakened and he soon appeared at her room with a potion made by Kazura. He knocked on the door and entered the room. "How are you feeling, Piper?" The demon said as he walked into the room. The maid dismissed herself to get water and food prepared for Piper. |
"I'm okay now... I'll be even better when I get to see Kazura though... when do I get to see him again?" Piper asked curiously knowing she wouldn't be able to stand but still wanted to see the man she loved... well she just hoped he was still the man she loved anyway. She slowly moved a bit to get into more of a sitting position but other then that tried not to move much still being in a bit of pain.

"After you've healed. He a had a healing potion commissioned to heal you. So, please try to act accordingly. He does not remember anything before the amulet. please, keep that in mind." Lazarus said as he held out the bottle to Piper and smiled at her a little. "He's a bit busy with politics but maybe you can get to him. Since you have once already." |
"I have?" Piper asked taking the potion then looking at it a bit. "How much of it do I drink? Or do I drink all of it?" she asked softly knowing that Kazura had been pretty good with potions before so it didn't surprise her that he was still working with them now. She was a bit nervous to see him again... scared to see him and know that he probably wouldn't remember her... but she had to... she had to see if she could bring him back from whatever spell had been placed on that amulet to make him go crazy.... well maybe not crazy... just forget... she didn't know if he was crazy or not really.

"He was a different person when he was with you, Piper. Kazura never smiled when he was with the court. His laugh was a mere chuckle. But when I saw him with you, it seemed his cold facade melted and a glorious laugh rang out." Lazarus said to her as he sat down in a chair near her bedside. His eyes on his hands as he thought back. "Not even I could get him to laugh like he did with you." He said softly before looking up at her. "You drink all of it and I'll have a dress sent up for you." The maid returned with a plate of cheese, bread, and meat followed by another maid who brought water to fill the tub. "Hurry, Kazura will see you before dinner starts."

"Ah yes... he did seem a little dull when I wasn't by his side didn't he?" Piper said with a slight smile before nodding and drinking the potion. She then listened and watched as two maids came in, one bringing over some bread and cheeses to her that she ate easily... but not speedily as you would think she might... she still kept it polite and didn't stuff her mouth or anything, and she only ate until her stomach wasn't hurting anymore, which all that wasn't too awful much but enough that she felt fine again. The maids then helped her up out of bed and lead her to the bathroom where she politely told them that she could take care of everything from there so they left. Before long she found herself soaking in nice hot water and finally being able to relax.

Lazarus smiled as she drank the potion and did not respond to her comment. He stood as she began to eat the small snack before her. The second asked a maid to bring her a simple dress but one that was appropriate for dinner. After that, Lazarus left the room to make sure that all was well with his lord.
Kazura sat at his desk and looked out the window as he finished his duties for the moment. He looked to his desk and opened a drawer to pull out his secret treasure. A bracelet that he held onto after he regained consciousness. The simple silver bangle was much too small for him and the small blue jewel inside seemed dull but he still treasured it. Someone had tended to him before the search party found him. They said there was no one with him but then whose bracelet was this? He wondered before putting it away in his desk. |
Piper sighed happily as she got out of the bath and dried off after she was completely finished then managed to get back to her bed on her own and pull on the fresh cloths along with under garments. Before long she was finishing drying her hair and brushing it straight then went and walked out of her room. She looked around for a maid to point her in the right way since she wasn't sure where she was going... it had been a long time since she was up here after all.
