Malicar's words rang true to Inuyami. She was scared, terrofied even, but she needed to do this. For her brother, her friends, and most of all herself. Excuses were weighing her down and unfortunately for her, it took the brutish words of Malicar for her to see that.

"You're right." Inuyami finally said humbly. Her eyes fell to the ground, she couldn't bare to look at him; only now it was due to shame. "But if we're going to do this, we're going to have to do it right." A wind blew across the field that tossed Inuyami's hair infront of her face and then strait behind her. As it blew, the stronger side of her began to show again. Her confidence was returning and the shell shock subsiding. "Let's return to camp, rest tonight and get out strengths up to maximum before we confront him." Her hands tightened into fists as she thought of revenge on VIRUS.

"Fine" Malicar turns around and crosses his arms, walking away from her, hiding his emotions from her. "I'm not going to hold your hand on the way back. I'll meet you there." Malicar runs in high speed and jumps into the trees of the forest, swishing between trees and keeping his balance.

A deer walks toward a tree slowly and starts to eat the grass on the ground. It hears a noise at an instant and looks up to see nothing. It goes back down to eat and hears it again and looks up....nothing again. It goes down to eat again and hears a swoosh sound coming from above and sees what seems to be a red blur, going really fast on the top of the trees. It goes back down and continues to eat grass.

Malicar gets to the camp and sits down on the log outside the hut. He puts down his head and closes his eyes, crossing his arms and legs, awaiting for Inuyami to show up.

Choosing not to hurry back, Inuyami walked along the foot path back towards camp. At this point it didn't matter how long it took her to get there, he was still more then likely going to say something along the lines of 'Sure took you long enough'. Inuyami rolled her eyes at the thought of his smug words but then recalled what he'd said just before dashing off.

"...I'm not going to hold you hand..." What made him even think such a thing? The pinks of Inuyami's ears began to turn red as a mix of emotions filled her belly. She dispised this man, his cruel sense of humor and smug attitude, yet something about him since she'd run off had changed in the slightest of ways; but what? She couldn't put her finger on it but she decided not to dwell on it.

"Are you going to stay out here all night then?" Inuyami asked Malicar once she'd returned to the camp. She stood infront of the hut and waited for his responce.

Malicar looks up at her and hesitates to say that he will for it was quite cold outside with the wind blowing. He speaks softly, "Yeah I'm gonna sleep out here. Someone's gotta keep watch." Said that as he shivers a little bit but makes his body stop in order to hide that he was cold from Inuyami.

Never show your weaknesses to anyone! Malicar remembers his father saying to him when he was younger.....

Inuyami could tell Malicar was cold without him having said anything. The fire had been reduced to embers and to stoke it again would only invoke the curiousity of whatever might be lurking in the woods.

"If you won't come in, at least take this." Inuyami said with a honey sweet voice in a low tone just audible enough to be heard. The sound of a metal clip rang out in the silent crisp air. Having walked over to Malicar, Inuyami set the white wolf's fur wrap from around her waist next to Malicar. It wouldn't be much but it would help keep the cold air off his neck and shoulders. She didn't wait for a thank you, she didn't really expect one. Inuyami turned and walked back to the hut. "Good night." She said before dissapearing into the shelter.

Malicar turns his head in anger that he got pitied on. I'm no wimp! I can handle this! The wind starts to pick up and he clings to his knees for warmth. He then looks at Inuyami's waist cloth. She's nice enough to give me a cloth to keep warm, maybe i can take it.. He reaches for the cloth then stops. NO! What am I saying? I can't show weakness! I just can't! Once i take it, she will not let me down for using her cloth for warmth and think i'm weak! I will not tolerate it!

The wind picks up and he gives in and wraps the cloth around his back, smelling her scent. At first it was weird but then he started to get a liking of it. This girl was getting to him and he was starting to like her but he didn't want to admit it.....

The night hours passed and soon the sun was raising over the forest. It slide down the mountains, across the fields and down into the camp site. Songs of wild birds could be heard but there were none to be seen. A new dirty trick The Room must have learned. Inuyami emerged from the shelter, rubbing the sleep from her left eye as she squinted against the morning sun.

"Good morning." Inuyami said to Malicar. She snapped a few branches off a near by dead tree and began to de-bark them. The bark of the branches was stringy and tore off in wide long pieces. Braiding the strips together, Inuyami took a seat across from Malicar. "Do you eat fish?" She asked him as she continued to braid.

Malicar was awake during the whole night thinking and concentrating on what happened during the early years. He was getting irritated on the thought that he might never remember what he had done. He closed his eyes and thought hard on what he would look like back then but nothing of an image appeared. He couldn't get a single detail.

In a matter of time, the sun was rising and Malicar got up from his spot and put Inuyami's cloth on the side. He looked into the hut and noticed she was still sleeping. He looks at her for a few seconds in awe then shakes his head and puts his head outside the hut. He starts to stretch and practice punching and kicking like he normally does in the morning.

When Inuyami asked him if he eats fish, he got up from push ups and wipes his body off of dirt. "I thought we were going for VIRUS today?"

"That's not what I said." Inuyami said, trying not to get annoyed by his brute headedness. "I said we'd go after him once we've got out strengths up. I mean no offence, but you don't know your past and you're new to this form yes? Maybe we should give it a while, get to master both our powers and strength and then we'll hunt him down." Inuyami stood up and snapped a thick tig in half. Using her razor sharp claws she formed a hook out of the wood. "And you didn't answer my question; do you eat fish?"

"Whether I don't remember my past or not, I know my strengths. I have memories of what i am now ever since i was a kid and I have trained my powers since i was a kid!" Feeling insulted that he doesn't know how to fight properly, he gets in a fighting position. "Well if you think i'm not strong enough or know anything, you can just fight me and find out for yourself." Malicar smiles being excited for a battle.....

"Nah, I really couldn't care less actually." Inuyami said as she wales away from Malicar waving a hand over her shoulder. The truth was he couldn't find VIRUS without her so like it or not he would have to wait until she led him there. Not to mention he had a lot to learn about The Room and what exactly VIRUS was.

Getting denied battle, Malicar relaxes and stands up calm for once. Usually he gets in a rage and makes his opponent fight him but for once, he calms down knowing he can't get answers with Inuyami mad at him. He goes over to the hut and sits down and relaxes until Inuyami returns saying she's ready to go. He was in no mood to help her prepare food or help her around the camp site, he just wanted to fight VIRUS and answer his questions....

Happy that Malicar hadn't decided to tag along, Inuyami decided to take her time gathering food and supplies. She walked leasurely twirling the fishing line in her hand, humming to herself. Soon her voice began to find words attached to it and she began to sing along with the tune in her mind.

"Dance sweet clild along the breeze, over lakes and threw the trees. A cross the plains on star filled night, dance across the sacred light." The song Inuyami was singing was one her mother and father used to sing to her before they died in the car crash, but it gave her a conforting feeling and made things seem a little less serious. "Oh dear sweet children of the moon, you've gone away you left too soon. Never to be seen again, until we walk... on foreign laaaand."

In just over three hours Inuyami returned to the campside. She had three large fish strapped to her back, two Kokari fruit tied to her hip, and a arm full of fire wood.

Malicar looks up, sees that Inuyami returned, not really caring. He was sleeping a little bit before she returned for he couldn't sleep keeping watch at night and thinking about who he was in the past life. Nothing was happening and the boring air around was slowly irritating Malicar. He hunger for something exciting and dangerous not relaxing at camp eating fish and preparing for the next night.

Malicar gets up from his spot and walks away down the path without saying a word to Inuyami for he knows she won't care any way.....

Inuyami watched Malicar leave. She wanted to call out to him but other then his name she didn't know what to say. Blowing her bangs off her brow, she rolled her eyes and gave up on whatever feeling it was that was telling her to go after him. What would the point be of that anyway. He'd return sooner or later and when he did at least he'd have a meal to come back too.

Down the trail, he goes to the beach and sees the sun glaring off the water, making him squint his eyes. He continues along the beach and kicks the sand sand in boredom. "I want to fight!" he mumbled to himself. A little bit of walking without paying much attention on where he is, he ends up in the woods on the other side of the beach.

Suddenly, he hears a sound. "Go back...." the sound echos through the woods. Malicar wields his sword and gets ready for trouble. "Go back...." the sound continues to echo with no change of tone. "Get out here and fight me!" Malicar was not in a mood to not do anything, he was the type of guy that needs excitement and danger. Finally, he hears footsteps coming from all directions, he was outnumbered by some Bandits but he was excited....

The wind carried the scent of the bandits to Inuyami's nose. But how could that be? The Room was compleatly shut off to random out siders. This must have been a new trick of VIRUS'. Inuyami put away the food she was preparing and began in the direction of the danger. She knew Malicar could handle himself, but just incase VIRUS should attack, she wanted to be there. Not even Malicar deserved to face VIRUS alone, even if he wasn't at full power.

The group of bandits surrounded Malicar with their wide variety of weapons from swords to nun chucks, to maces to spears. Malicar just stared them down, smiling and showing his fangs to them, ready to fight. Suddenly, the bandits turn and let their leader go in the center of the circle with Malicar.

The bandit leader pulls down his Red Bandanna with a Demon Head on it from his mouth and begins to speak. "What are you doing here stranger? You do realize your in the Demonic's Territory don't ya?" He spits on the ground, looking all tough and all but Malicar wasn't amused or threatened in any matter, he just wanted a fight. He stands up straight, smiling. "Hm, for a couple of thugs you have a poor taste in territories. If you guys were so "Demonic" you would of had a whole town under your control to call your territory, not this piece of shit." Malicar crosses his arms, trying to make them mad.

The bandit leader draws his blade and licks it, cutting himself on purpose. "You see.... My baby here (points to his blade) is thirsty for demons like you. She had no demon blood to feed on for a few days now." The group of bandits get loud and start shouting. "You fellas ready for some Demon tonight?!?!" The bandits yell out "YEAH!". The bandit leader walks away and waves his hand up, signalling them to attack Malicar. "Go get him boys!"..............

As Inuyami got closer to the area where Malicar was facing off with the bandits, she could hear the voices and cheers getting louder. Promising herself not to jump in on the hanyou's battle with the weak youkai bandits. She knew it would be dangerous but she decided to head up the mountain side. From there she began leaping from tree limb to tree limb silently throught the forest. Inuyami hadn't realized how little time she'd ever spent in this half of the wooded area of The Room. Perhaps the bandits had been here all along and she had just never seen them. In any case, Inuyami had finally caught up with Malicar. She used a spell to conceal her energy and scent.

"Gahh!" "Umph!" "What the he...!!!!" The battle was waging between the bandits and the demon with the demon winning. Kick to the chest, punch to the throat, Malicar was enjoying himself and wasn't even using half his strength. Humans are pathetic He muttered to himself.

A bandit goes in for a punch from behind but Malicar bends down, knowing it was coming and has him hit his ally. On the ground, Malicar sweeps below their feet and drops them on their backs. Suddenly, a spear was charging after him and he quickly evades to his side and knocks the spear up with his hand and grips the guys neck with his claws, cutting his throat as he chokes him to death. Two start running toward him with their weapons drawn and he throws the dead one at one of them then kneels down and punches the other one in the chest with his palm out, the Tiger Paw move. Malicar then flips backwards and puts a guy in a head lock and twists his head, breaking his neck.

8 left and Malicar twists his hand and motions them to come to him. 3 of them run to him and punches the one in the middle in the face making him fly toward a tree, breaking it in half. The one on his right with a knife, tries to stab him but he grabs his arm and makes his arm stab his ally. They both fall. 5 are left standing finally and they are shaking in fear. Malicar quickly jabs his body forward to scare them and they run away.

The bandit leader was smoking a cigar and laughing as he was leaving the battle. He looks up suddenly and sees Malicar in front of him with his arms crossed, looking down leaning up against a tree with his tail wagging. He looks up and smiles. The bandit leader is shocked with fear and drops his cigar. "Bu...but how??" Malicar nonchalantly gets off the tree and shows his claws as he walks toward him. "Don't fight what you can't kill."

A loud scream of pain echoes through the woods.........

Rolling her eyes, Inuyami jumps out of the tree she'd been watching the fight from. Sure Malicar was efficient, but he was over the top. She shook her head at herself for having had any worry for him. But if it had been a trap set by VIRUS, there was no way that his reckless style of fighting would be enough to beat the evil back for the rest of eternity. Inuyami returned to the camp and went about preparing the fish and kokari fruit for the evenings meal as though she hadn't seen a thing.

The sun was starting to set and Malicar walked back to camp. He walked down the trail like he didn't do anything. At camp, he didn't say anything to Inuyami and sat on to the log next to the hut and put his foot up on it as he leaned back, head down, relaxing. He smells the meal Inuyami had prepared and was hungry but didn't want to butt in with her catch for he didn't do anything to help with it. Being as rude as he is, he's respectable and honorable when it comes to hunting and combat.

Inuyami didn't know what to say to Malicar but she didn't want to feel like she was ignoring him. She walked over and set a large leaf with food on it next to him.


"If you're hungry." She told him but didn't make eye contact for more then a couple seconds.

Malicar turned his head when Inuyami set the food down next to him, pretending not to care. As she walked away, he whispered, "Thank you..." He picked up the leaf and started eating.

After he ate the meal, he set the leaf down next to him and lied down, starting to fall asleep, shivering again.......

As Inuyami walked away from Malicar, her ear twitched at the sound of his eyes. She was standing behind him, with her back to his, so she aloud a small sarcastic smile to crawl across her lips. After she had finished eating she burn the things she had used to cook the meal. It was safer then to leave them laying around for the wild life to find.

"I'm going to bath in the ocean, I swear if yo..." Inuyami began to say as she spun from the fire to adress Malicar. He was asleep and shivering under the stars. Again she rolled her eyes with the same sarcastic smile she'd had about half an hour ago. She untied the wrap from her waist and laid it over his bare shoulders and arms. It would at least keep him from freezing to death. Inuyami walked down to the beach for a swim and long bath.
