Haruka frowned as she noticed Aki was upset. She hadn't meant to cause him any pain. As guilt seeped in she reached out for him, stroking his cheek. She wanted to take all his pain away. Maybe someday she could make it vanish completely, but she doubted that. She couldn't make him forget the deaths. She could replace them, though. She would just create more happy memories so the sad ones would fade into the background and slip away. It was the least she could do for him. Her hand slipped from his cheek as he asked her his question. "There wasn't much for us to learn. The only thing really important was flying and light spells. We did learn some commonly know element magic but outside of that we didn't learn much. The angels of our world aren't the kind to worry for spells. They think they can live without it. I don't want to go back there. The place always brings out the worst in me. I could even say I hate it there. They locked me up for so long in their world that I want to see it burn. The rage inside of my heart refuses to cease when it comes to my father. I will not forgive him for sacrificing our people and locking me away."

Aki hugged her, feeling the hate transfer between them. It seemed that she disliked the Angels as much as he did. He kissed her cheek again, not getting enough of the smoothness of her skin. He blushed and glanced away, drinking more of his tea. "Would you like more? We'll go for dinner in a little while," he told her, finishing his second cup.

Haruka hugged Aki back, leaning on him again. She was so happy when she was in his arms. She even let her feelings of hate go. When she was with him, her love left no room for hate. Haruka smiled as she looked up at Aki. Only she got to see this side of him. She found herself falling for every part of Aki as time went on. She didn't think she would ever run out of things to find out about Aki. It was like she was in a different world she was excited to learn about all over again. "Dinner? I don't think I will be able to eat it. I never really ate much. Most of of eating habbits are every week but I can last without food up to a month. Sometimes they would forget to give me food so I know how long I can last without getting sick."

Aki frowned and stood up, putting away his tea. "Well, that is no good. A growing young woman such as yourself should be fed proper. So get used to eating dinner every night when you are with me." He turned his head and smiled, feeling his fangs on his bottom lip. They must have grown again, it tended to happen when he used so much magic. He quickly covered them, hoping that she wouldn't get scared.

Unlike most Demons, Aki's fangs were long and sharp. What he missed out on in the horn department, he made up for in his magic and fangs. Which was a shame, because they made him look a lot vicious than he ever felt. He was mostly vegetarian after all. "Maybe tomorrow we can find that old witch..." he muttered to himself. He hadn't ever possessed a desire to see the enchantress, but right now one of her spells would come in handy. "She can make us a disguise so we can look human and have no need to cover ourselves."

Haruka smiled even when she saw Aki's fangs. She loved him too much to ever be afaird. She wanted him to be sure of that. His kind words made her heart skip a beat and the feeling of love consumed her. She wanted to kiss Aki all over again. When he came back to her Haruka happily tugged his shirt. She playfully pulled at his shirt so he might get closer. "That sounds wonderful. Then we will have more time together, right? Let's spend as much time as we can in each others arms." Haruka spoke softly as she kissed Aki's cheek and closed her eyes.

Aki grinned, finding his cape to hide his face. "I'd love for you to be able to wear that dress I made for you," he replied. "Let's get going, we will find something light to eat for dinner." He held her hand briefly, feeling very happy. Who would have thought he would fall for an Angel? Especially the Princess... The thing that could bring back his people. He wondered if he was being selfish. Maybe he should break the seal...

He would find a way to do so without killing Haru. Even if he had to be selfish just this once.

Haruka smiled back at Aki. She was always so glad to see him in a good mood. "I want to wear it more aswell. It's too pretty to never wear." Haruka held Aki's hand back for a moment before going to the door. She opened the door and looked back at Aki smiling. "Aki, no matter what happens, I will always love you. Nothing can stop this feeling from growing deeper and deeper. That's how I know that even if I was taken away, I will find a way back over and over again. No one will be able to stop me. I would rather go insane than live a life without you."

Aki felt honoured that Haru felt so deeply about him. He blushed, bowing his head in acknowledgement. As she went to leave his hut, he grabbed her by the arm. He pointed to her wings and grinned. "We can't be giving away ourselves just yet," he reminded her, chuckling slightly at her absent-mindedness. He found some more clothes that he had made and gave them to her. He then left the house to wait for her to change, respecting her privacy.

Haruka smiled at him but soon became confused when he stopped her. She blushed, embarrassed at the fact she could of forgotten about her wings. She was usually more careful. She had totally forgotten in her proclaim of love. She went back inside on her own and set her wings back into hiding. Then she changed into a navy blue shirt Aki had crafted for her. She smiled gently and returned to the outside, hugging Aki from behind. Sure the shirt was warm, but she felt even warmer at his side. After a few moments Haruka let him go so they could move on.

Aki smiled, laughing happily as he held her hand. He noticed that she hadn't really bothered to look boyish, but even if she had he wouldn't care. Let others stare at them, he was in love. He had never felt this way for any one else ever. He once asked his father what it was like to truly love someone else and he replied that it was an experience that Aki had to feel for himself. Now he understood his father's words, as it was very hard for him to explain it, let alone think about it in his own mind.

He led Haru down the streets towards the small bakery from before. He wasn't overly hungry and he didn't want to force Haru to eat a big meal when she told him that she wasn't hungry herself. Doris was about to close up the store when she saw the two approach. She happily greeted them, noticing how close they seemed. Aki grabbed a ham roll and waited for Haru to make her choice. After they paid Doris they went to the park to sit by the small pond together.

Haruka smiled as she followed Aki happily. She never once thought she could ever feel this happy. After all her years of loneliness, she expected that she would always feel it. But then Aki came and changed her whole world. But she was still surprised. She didn't even know what love was until she started to fall for Aki. She never thought she would find love.

Haruka broke from her thoughts as they came to the store. She recalled meeting the lady before. Smiling, Haruka picked up a turkey sandwich with Aki. Then she followed him the the pond. It was a beautiful blue with some ducks swimming around and some cat tails along with lilies at the side of the pond. Haruka sat at the nearest open brown bench with Aki and slowly ate her sandwich. She gazed at the lake as she chewed her dinner and took it all in. "Just how long will this last?" Haruka wondered.

Aki watched the water ripple across the surface of the pond. There were large gold and orange coloured goldfish that swam lazily through the pondweed. A few diver birds sat on the low branches of a nearby tree, eyeing the fish with a piercing gaze. He felt like one of those fish in the water. One wrong move and the birds would get him. He finished his roll and sat quietly, waiting Haru to finish.

He thought about what had happened these past few days, and this new emotion that he had discovered. How long it would last, he didn't know. But he did know that as long as they were in this city, there was a chance of being found by the Angel King or his men. For the millionth time since the War, he wondered if there existed any other Demons out there, any other cities or towns he could go to. Most of the City he lived in was underground. It would be hard to find any of the others if they were built underground as well. He sighed. It was getting dark and cold.

Once Haruka finished she happily leaned on Aki. Once again her heart began to beat faster just by being close. It was like Aki was working magic on her heart. She twitched for a moment as she thought about it. Magic was usually something only demons were good at, but somehow she felt like she could do it too. When she had watched Aki use his magic she had thought "I can do that too." as she observed. Then her memory came back to her from the dark times of her days.

Haruka awoke bounded by cold chains on her hands and feet that ended at a metal plate melted into the stone floor. The room was covered in dust, mud, and wasn't very clean. She could see a small barred window and more bars at the only exit. It didn't matter much anyways though. Even when Haruka tried to stand, she couldn't. Even if she could, she doubted the chains were long enough to reach the black steel bars that imprisoned her. Haruka shivered as the winter air came into the room. She felt so scared and the sound of foot steps approaching made her jump.

Two angels came into her cell shortly and without a word they let her free of her chains only to bind her hands with ropes. They forced her up into her freed feet and pushed her out of the cell. Haruka was too scared to really pay attention to where they were taking her, but there was lots of twists and turns. Before long she was in a giant room that was covered in floor boards and in the middle was an altar. They forced her into it and bound her into it roughly. Then angels in white cloaks came into the room along with one covered in armor and masked. The one in armor stood behind Haruka as more armor covered angels walked in with the corpse of the demon king. The sight shocked Haruka so much she screamed in utter horror.

As Haruka screamed the masked angel chanted. Haruka didn't understand this at all. She kept shaking and crying at the sight of a real corpse. So many thoughts ran though her head as she continued to scream and cry. Just what was happening to her? The masked angel stopped chanting and then the king's corpse turned into a giant flame. It then flew straight at Haruka and when she ducked it slammed right into her back. Haruka screamed loudly as the spirit of the king burned on her back and then sealed itself inside of her. The pain was so awful she could do nothing but lay at the altar in shock from the constant burning. It was then that everything went bad.

Haruka looked at her shaking hands as her back burned. Then her hand changed, turning into a black hand with black claws. Then her whole body turned black. The pain on her back disappeared as her eyes turned crimson and her whole body transformed. Haruka was no longer herself, she was a demon. It all made sense now. In order to keep a demon inside her body and survive it, she would of had to of been born half demon and half angel. Haruka's mother was the Angel Queen, stolen by the demon king. That was how the war started. Her mother was dead, killed by Haruka's father once he discovered Haruka was the demon king's daughter. He killed the queen, blamed the demons, and started a war. With this reality in her grasp, Haruka broke her chains and escaped with her black demon wings. She killed all the angels in the room in anger and flew out the window. Haruka didn't get very far though. She changed back and fainted on the ground. When she awoke she barely even recalled her own name and was trapped in a white room.

Aki wrapped an arm around Haru, seeing how she was shaking. He thought that maybe she was cold, but when he saw her face he could sense that something was wrong. "Are you alright?" he asked her, brushing the hair out of her face. He felt that something was different with her, as if a memory had changed who she was. He watched her in worry.

Haruka slipped onto the ground as reality came back to her. She layed there sobbing gently as she whole boy shook. How dare her father do this. How dare he kill his mother. Not only did her murder her mother, but he blamed the demons. She knew the man was awful, but she didn't know just how evil he was. He killed almost all of the demons for his own sins. Haruka gripped the ground in anger. She would rip her father apart the next time she would see him. He never deserved to live. Haruka snapped from her anger as she heard Aki.

Very slowly Haruka let go of the ground that was now burnt by her flames of anger. She wasn't even aware that she was using fire. She looked at Aki sadly. How could she explain this to him? If he knew the truth, he would want her father dead at any cost. Not only that, but she was half demon. She slowly got up and walked over to Aki, sitting on his lap and leaning on him. She had to tell him the truth. "Aki... I know everything now. I know exactly why the war started, and it all began because I was born. My father, no, the Angel King is not my real father. But that was just the problem. My mother was the Angel Queen for ten years before my birth, but somewhere along the way my mother fell in love. Not with the Angel King, but she fell in love with the Demon King. They both loved eachother and that was how I came to be. I am the Demon King's daughter, Aki. The Angel King found out and murdered my mother. Then he set the blame on the demons and got his revenge by killing every last demon he could find. His final revenge was trapping the Demon King's soul in his own daughter. That way if the Demon King ever came back, he would witness the corpse of his own daughter."

Aki held her tightly, listening closely to her story. He had noticed the flames stirring in her as her anger boiled. He was certain that Angels didn't possess the ability to control fire. Now that he knew what she really was, several emotions crashed hard onto him. Anger at the Angel King for being such a tyrant, happiness to know that there was another Demon, sadness for what Haru had been through... All of these feelings weighed down on him, threatening to explode.

"The Angel King..." he growled, but couldn't bring himself to say anything else. He was sure Haru knew what he was thinking. He would destroy the King, even if it killed him. He calmed himself down, feeling Haru's Inner Fire coming to life. That's why the King had kept her locked up in a white room. The colours would have been blessed, meaning her fire wouldn't wake. The Angel King knew just how powerful she could be with both Angel and Demon blood running through her veins. He even sealed the Demon King's soul inside of her body. He started to laugh, clutching his love tightly. The King was so idiotic. Haru not only had her angel powers, but the powers of the Demon King. She was stronger than she realised.

Haruka looked up Aki and let her anger go for the moment. Though she wanted to fly to Tenshi Kingdom and kill the Angel King, she couldn't. She didn't want to risk it and there was a chance she could fail. Even being both demon and angel, she could always wind up losing. Plus there was no way she wanted to leave Aki. If she left him and the lost in battle he would come to save her even though there was no way for a demon to survive in Tenshi. She wanted to spend as much time as she could with Aki anyways. Instead of going to the kingdom now she would wait till they had brought her in front of the Angel King and then get her revenge. Haruka looked at Aki and smiled as she thought about it. "Once the Angel King is dead it will be my turn to rule. I can show you the world of Tenshi that my mother created. It was so beautiful before she died. I wish it was still that way, but my father corrupted everything."

Aki smiled, hugging her to him. He would love to see Tenshi. He had heard from his parents what an amazing place it was. "You would make a fine Queen," he told her truthfully, kissing her cheek again. It had gotten dark around them, the air becoming very cold. Aki suggested that they should go back to his home, but made no effort to get up. He liked the night, and he wished to see it with his love. Maybe it would awaken the demon inside of her.

Haruka glanced at the setting sun and didn't move either. She wanted to see the stars with Aki, and not from a window. She wanted to see all the stars and tel the night's cold air slip in. Then she would have a good excuse to cuddle with Aki and never let go. Haruka smirked as the first wind of cool air brushed past the grass. "This shirt doesn't seem to be working. Keep me warm while we watch the stars, Aki.~" Haruka teased him because the shirt worked fine. She was just making an excuse and she was hoping he would play along with her. Smiling Haruka got closer to Aki and held open her arms, waiting for him to hold her.

Aki grinned, hugging her tightly. He knew that what she had said was a lie, seeing that he knew that his clothes always kept in heat. "Ah, I must have sown it wrong," he chuckled, his voice giving away to reveal his true gruffness. He felt himself change under the moonlight and longed to let the hood come down. He glanced around the park and did so, his long red hair glowing like it was on fire. His eyes flickered, showing his Inner Fire for Haru to see. He stared into her eyes, seeing the small spark of hers burning deep within.

Haruka looked at Aki in amazement. Not only was he cool but he was handsomer when he was out of his cloak. She looked at him lovingly as she looked over him. His change was very neat to see. She had never seen such a transform before and it made her curious. She couldn't help but wonder if she could change too. She could feel her Inner Flame growing as she looked at Aki. Before she knew it her white-blonde hair was changed into a raven black and she seemed much more of a deathly pale. Her finger nails grew sharp and she gained sharp fangs. Dark green horns poked out of her head and her eyes became crimson. Then Haruka seemed to change in aura and attitude, like she was a new person.

Aki beamed as he looked at the new Haru. She was a beautiful young demon, her eyes glistening in the moonlight. He couldn't help but to be happy. It had been a very long time since he saw another of his kind. Even though Haru was only half demon, it still caused him to get to his feet in excitement. "Haru! You are so beautiful!" he cried, pulling her to her feet and dancing with her. He didn't care if anyone saw them. He was the happiest he had been in years. He pulled her close and kissed her deeply.

They didn't see the person staring at horror at them across the pond. They screamed and ran towards the guard's office. Demons in the city! They had to tell everyone.

Haruka giggled happily as she looked at her demon form. "I don't know why but I feel so much freer in this form. Like I can finally do everything I dreamed. Aki let's do everything together. I want to learn how to become a demon like you. It just feels right this way." She smiled as she danced with Aki. How she had longed for this. When Aki kissed her she became the happiest girl in the world. She kissed him back lovingly and blushed as she held onto him. She wanted Aki to kiss her again. It was so overwhelming her heart was ready to burst in joy. She hardly even noticed people beginning to panick.

Aki noticed that something wasn't quite right. The crying of many people reached his ears. He spun around, staring into the absolute stillness of the night beyond the lake. His heart thumped loudly, sensing something bad was about to happen. He held Haru's hand tightly, covering her with his cloak. "I will love to teach you, my love," he told her, trying to not make her panic. "But right now we have to hide."

Just as Aki uttered this, many bright lights came from the park. Angels carrying white torches walked towards them, holding their weapons and wearing armour. They spotted the demon and the other standing near the park's entrance. Suddenly there was a flash of fire, and they were gone.

Aki muttered strange words and threw some of his inner fire onto the ground. They were enveloped in a bright, orange light that rushed about them sounding like a wind storm. Soon they landed on solid ground, in a forest just out of the city. Aki exhaled heavily and collapsed to the ground with exhaustion. "That... was... close..." he whispered with a smile before he passed out.

Haruka held onto Aki tightly. She felt so scared when the angels came. She didn't want to be taken away yet. There was still so much she wanted to learn from Aki. The things she had yet to do were limitless. She wasn't ready for this. She clutched onto Aki as they changed places. She sighed in relief but she was still worried about Aki. When he fainted she panicked and quickly picked up his body. She had to make him get better. She rushed through the forest with Aki and went on until she couldn't go on. She gave up and sat with Aki, using the magic she had known as an angel to give him energy.
