Her eyes went to him as he wrapped his arms around her. Mariki looked up at him with a blush on her face before starting to stand up on her own. "Sorry. I'm kind of jumpy after attacks..." She said softly as her eyes closed. Tikura nuzzled her hand as she started to shake.

Jasper nodded when he heard her and slowly let her out of his arms, "I can understand that." he said softly and knew that she was probably not okay. He then smiled as he took her hand into his, trying to get her to calm down, "how about if we head to the kitchen and see if we can grab something to eat, I am sure that will calm you down." he sad as he looked into her eyes.

Mariki felt his arms leave her and closed her eyes as she felt less safe without his arms around her. Her eyes went to him as he held her hand and blushed as she shook her head. "There's no need. I'll be fine once I lay down." She said, leaving her hand in his.

Jasper nodded when he heard her, "okay, okay why don't you lead the way to a room then." he said as he smiled at her. He wished he could hold her again but he was only a guard, he couldn't. But he would stay close by, it wasn't' the same but it was what he would have to deal with.

She nodded and held onto his hand as she started to walk towards a room. Mariki stopped in front of a door and turned to look at Jasper as she smiled. "This is it..." Her eyes closed as she looked down at her hands. Tikura nudged his master's hand before she pet his head with that hand.

Jasper nodded and then squeezed her hand gently, "let me check to make sure no one is in here." he said and then opened the door. Looking around, he let go of her hand to check out all the corners of the room and once he found nothing he sighed, "the room is safe." he said as he walked back to her side, "now do you want me to stay in this room with you or stay outside the door?" he asked

Mariki nodded and waited for him to check out the room. Her eyes went to him as he walked back to her side and smiled at him. "It would be better if you stayed outside. I don't want anyone to yell at you again." She said before starting to walk into the room. The princess looked at him as Tikura sniffed the room first. "I really owe you, Jasper."

Jasper smiled and nodded when he heard her, "okay, but I will leave a crack in the door, if you need me just call for me." he said as he watched her head into the room. THough when he heard her, he shook his head, "no, you dont owe me anything, princess." he said and bowed to her slightly. "now go get some rest." he said as he smiled at her.

Her eyes went to her room as she nodded. "Okay. Though I hope I won't have to." Mariki said as she watched him bow. "Thank you, Jasper. Good night." She said softly and walked into the room. The princess looked at Tikura as he walked over to the bed and laid down. "Tikura, can you do the ties?" Mariki asked since she didn't want to bother Jasper again.

Jasper smiled at her and nodded, "I hope so too." he said softly, "and good night princess, sweet dreams." he said and then stuck to the door. It was still open a crack and when he heard her, he couldn't help but chuckl a little bit. Heading inside, he smiled at the princess, "why dont you let me do that?" he said as he smiled at the princess, "it is no trouble." he said simply.

She looked at Tikura as he started to pull on the strings of her dress. Mariki looked at Jasper as he came back into the room and blushed. "Jasper...you don't have to." Her cheeks were red as she blushed and stood there facing him.

Jasper blushed when he saw her and then averted his eyes, "I want to be of service to you anyway possible. If it is simply as helping you undo your dress or fetching you something, I will do it." he said as he walked over. He then quickly finished up untieing her dress and turned. "I will return to my post now if their is nothing else." he said softly, the blush still slightly on his cheeks.

Mariki nodded as he spoke and let him untie her dress. She turned her head to look over her shoulder as he finished undoing the strings. Her eyes went to him as he finished and turned away. "Thank you, Jasper." The princess said before turning to face him, holding her dress up to cover herself. "By the way...I like you much better now than when we first met."

Jasper paused at the door and looked over at her, "thanks, I am glad that you like me more... I like you more now that I know you." he said as he smiled. "now get some sleep." he said before stepping out the door and taking his place back right outside the door. He kept the door opened slightly so that he could make sure that he would hear anything.

Her eyes stayed on him as he spoke and she blushed. Mariki smiled a bit and nodded as she walked over to her bed. She placed a hand over her heart and tried to calm down enough to sleep. The princess looked to the door and smiled a little as she laid down on her back.

Jasper tucked his hands behind his back and stayed there. The halls were empty and so far no one was coming anywhere close to them. Getting a little bit bored so he slowly started to hum. It was a tune that he had tucked away in his memories, one that he couldnt' remember very well but he knew the song.

She laid there on her bed before hearing a soft hum. Mariki smiled and curling up on her side towards the sound. Her body relaxed against the bed as she fell asleep listening to Jasper hum.

Jasper stayed at his post and kept watch all night. He let himself get a few minutes of sleep here and there, adding up to a hour or two in total when the sun came up. But he was always on alert, nothing was going to get close to Mariki while he was on look out.

Mariki started to stir as the sun started to shine through her bedroom window. Her eyes opened as she started to sit up and stretch before looking towards Tikura. He yawned and padded over to the door and sniffed at Jasper. She smiled before sliding of the bed and walking over towards her bathroom.

Jasper was still awake when he felt something sniff his hand. Looking down, he saw Tikura there and smiled as he reached down, patting his head gently. "I am guessing she is awake." he said and peeked in just in time to see her run into hte bathroom. Smiling, he turned back to look into the hall and waited for her to ask for him.

Tikura barked as he looked at Jasper and seemed to smile. The princess walked out of the bathroom after washing her face and brushing her hair. Mariki began to change her undergarments before looking at her closet to pick a dress. She smiled and picked a blue dress with lace sleeves before looking towards Tikura. "Tikura, stop bothering Jasper."

Jasper smiled at the dog and continued to pat his head gently. Hearing the princess, he chuckled slightly and shook his head, "dont worry, princess, he isn't bothering me at all." he said as he didn't look inside. He didn't want to possibly see her and get in trouble. He rather wanted to make sure that he didn't mess up and get in trouble.

Her eyes went to the door as she smiled and pulled the dress on. Mariki walked over to the door before turning her back to the door and lifted her hair. "If you say so." She looked at Tikura as he walked over to her side and placed his head under her hand.

Jasper smiled as he turned around and saw her back to him. Gently he tied the back of her dress and wished that he could pull her close to him. He liked being close to her. "so what would you like to do first, princess?" he asked once he was finished and smiled at her.

Mariki lowered her hair as she felt him tying up her dress. Her eyes went to him as she turned around to face him. The princess felt a blush start on her face before she looked away and cleared her throat. "I don't know. But shouldn't you be training with Dominic?" She asked as Tikura sat at her side.
