"Thank you Ulric good night." Luna said before she took off her helmet and the entire castle was locked down in response to her logging off for the night... well the higher ups could get in and out but no one else and anyone who wasn't allowed was forced out of the castle. She sighed as she wiped her eyes and went to the bathroom before she came into her room, got changed and went to bed hoping she would have an okay day at school tomorrow.

((yeah go ahead, oh and also everyone calls him bernard at school, his real first name))

Ulric sighed as his alarm went off and like always the house was silent. Getting up and dressing, he cleaned himself up before heading downstairs. NO one was home, parents were already away at work and didn't even bother to leave a note and anything. Sighing to himself, he grabbed some food and picked up his backpack before shoving off to school. He didn't bother taking the bus since he preferred to walk, always nicer and calmer way to start the morning and it gave him a sense of peace, like he wasn't to alone sometimes.

Luna awoke the next morning and sighed as she went about getting ready and went to check on her mother who was horribly sick. She fixed herself breakfast along with some food for her mom then fixed lunch for herself and soon went to catch the bus. It was the same thing at every school she went to... eve if no one knew her as soon as they saw her sitting alone and quiet o the bus they would start talking. Once they arrived at school she quickly made her way to the front office and got her schedual and got everything settled before heading off to the library before school started. She sat in there as quiet as can be ignoring everyone who stared as she read a book about computer graphics that she had already checked out.

"Hey did you hear that new girl is like the weirdest new kid that's ever came here? The first thing she does when she comes into the school is go and gets a book and starts reading!" One of the popular kids laughed and another one snickered. "I heard that she's such a gamer freak that she spends most of her time in the house wearing a virtual reality helmet and still gets good grades. That's why she's so pale." one of the other kids exclaimed and the group started to laugh

Ulric sighed as he got to school and saw everyone whispering and talking. He guessed a new kid probably got to school or something, now being tortured by everyone. Frowning, he headed off and was about to head into the library, his usual hide away since none of his so called friends dared come near it. Yet right before he could head in, he noticed his gang of idiots running his way. "hey, Bernard, we got new kid!" one said and he sighed and without even having to say anything they were already pushing him around. "yeah, she is weird, spends most of her time in the virtuality world and everything." they said as he pushed him around, acting like he had just said something about her and laughed. Frowning, he quickly ducked down and watched as they continued to walk, hardly noticing he was gone. Though when they did he was already gone, rushing to the library and once the library doors were closed behind him he sighed. "finally." he said softly before he started to explore the books he knew very well. Hardly noticing anyone else in their with him.

Luna sighed as she walked around looking at books before accidentally bumping into someone "Oh I'm sorry I didn't know anyone else was in here." she said softly then was taken off guard when she saw how he looked and thought that he looked just like her new trainee. "Have I met you before?" she asked softly not knowing that he was one of the popular kids in the least... but he could probably tell she was the new kid... she just hoped that he didn't tease her like everyone else.

Ulric looked at the person he had bumped into and thought she looked kind of familiar but wasn't too sure. "it is okay, usually I am the only one in here." he said as he smiled at her and then shook his head. "probably not since i am guessing your the new kid." he said and moved to hold out his hand when his friends seemed to come out of no where. "hey, Bernard found her and look she is looking at the damn books." the one popular girl seems to laugh. "only nerds read books." she said and bernard looked at her and opened his mouth to say something but before he could one of his guy friends jumped in, "hey girly, let this be a lesson to you, Bernard is COOl. your a ZERO, isn't that right bernard." and with that bernard just glared but again before he could speak a girl spoke up and wrapped a arm around him, "come on bernard, Lets get away from the Zero." and with that he was dragged out of there. Looking back at the girl, his eyes tried to tell her he was sorry but soon they were already out of the library.

"Yeah I am, I'm Luna." Luna smiled though was then cut off when she saw the other kids and ran off to the back of the library before she even saw him say anything trying not to cry. She thought that for once she could have made a real friend but instead he was just one of those cool kid jerks.

"Hey Bernard why were you in the library anyway?" one girl asked him as they walked not seeming to care if they were late or not... the teachers never got them in trouble so it didn't really matter.

Ulric looked at him, " because I was looking for a book to read." His voice dead serious but then one of the girls started to laugh and then everyone else. " good one Bernard, we know you hate reading." The one girl said as she looked at him. Yet Bernard just glared,they thought they knew him and even if he told the truth they would say he was Lieing.

Luna sighed as she walked to class and was right away introduced by the teacher as being the new student and she noticed the popular kids laughing as they made it into the class a few minutes after the bell and she wet to her seat quietly. She listened to the teacher and after finding that they were taking notes that she already had she started to draw up some new designs for her character and started to write down new codes for the game that might be able to help her friend wake up from his coma and would be able to get him out of the game. She had nearly figured it out when the teacher asked her something and she looked up and was called up to the board to write the math problem down and solve it leaving the papers she had been writing on in her desk not thinking that any of the others would take it and start mocking her 'geekiness'.

Ulric sighed as he finally got to his seat and relaxed. He was glad that in this class all his so called friends weren't anywhere close to him. But he was close to Luna. Not bothering to take notes, he waited to see what the teacher needed. But instead of calling on someone from the usual class, he called on Luna. Looking over at her, he watched as she walked away from what ever she was working on and over to the teacher. Looking over at her desk he saw everything and wondered what it was for. But he coudl hear laughing from the others as they spotted what was on the desk and was making fun of her. Glaring at them, he wished that they would stop but instead they only got louder, "the geek is actually working on something that is geekyer then anything i have ever seen." the one girl said and the class started to laugh. All but Ulric, instead he looked up at luna and wished he could help her. But he knew if he tried anything it would only make it worse.

Luna looked over after she was finished with the long equation and saw one of the girls grabbing the papers off her desk. "Hey let go of those! I need those!" she said heading over and trying to grab the papers just hoping they didn't get ripped... she had finally came up with an idea on how to get her friend out of the game and if they destroyed her work it would take twice as long to rethink it if not longer.

Ulric frowned when he saw them grab her paper and watched as they started to pass it around. When it came over towards him, he reached for it and pulled it out of the guys hand. Straightening it out, he looked at Luna and held it out to her silently. "sorry about that." he said softly and looked at her apologetically. Though as he did everyone started to laugh. "aw Bernard it actually trying to be nice to it. Probably hopping to get a favor from her or something." and everyone laughed more. But Ulric tuned it out as he looked at her and wished that everyone would just shut up.

"Thank you" Luna said softly as she gently took the papers from him and sat down at her desk ignoring the rest of the students as she continued to work on the papers and was also working on the sheet that the teacher was passing out but got that done in just a few minutes before she continued in rewriting some of the codes for the game until she was satisfied then folded them and slipped them into her purse which she zipped and buttoned so no one else could get into with her having it across her like she did... she would know right away if anyone tried. The rest of the class rolled on like that making her wish that today was a normal school day istead of being a test/group day where they stayed in their first period all day. As lunch came along she made her way out of class but was quickly surrounded by kids who kept pushing her. "Leave me alone!" she finally snapped and tried to push through the kids just wanting to get to the lunch room and eat.

Ulric nodded and sat down in class, wishing he could go home and plug in. When the paper was placed in front of him he absentmindedly did it, knowing everything he put down was correct. Through the rest of the class he daydreamed of possibly going around and killing demons. Yet he snapped out of it when the bell rang and everyone ran out of there. He was the last one in his chair and headed out after everyone when he heard Luna yelling. Frowning, he reached a hand into the crowd and pulled her out of it. "stay back here, it is easier to get through if you stay in the back of the crowd." he said as he looked down at her. No one payed then attention thankfully, everyone thought about lunch and only that.

Luna yelped some when she was pulled out of the group that had actually been trying to push her around and one of the girls looked back seeing who pulled her away. "Thanks again. Oh I never got to tell you my name, I'm Luna... thank you for getting my papers back they're really important in helping one of my friends." she said softly and smiled some at him before continuing to walk close to him unsure of where exactly the luch room was so she figured since he was going nice to her she would fallow him to the lunch room.

Ulric smiled down at her and was surprised to hear her name was luna. He wondered if she was the girl from the game. But he would wait till later to see. "no problem, I am sorry about them." he said as he looked at her and started to walk with her toward the lunchroom. "they are kind of big idiots who think that picking on people is the greatest thing ever and they can never stop talking to me." he said as he looked at her. "but I heard you play video games and read, is that true?" he asked as he looked odnw at her.

"Why don't you just stop talking to them if you don't like how they act? Or tell them to stop?" Luna asked softly then looked down slightly when he mentioned her liking games and reading. "Yeah... I love to read when I'm not working on fixing a bug in a game I helped create when I was just seven years old... that's why I'm always teased... I always have the highest scores in the school but my mom wants me to be around kids my own age so she never lets go into the advanced classes and graduate early." she said softly as she walked with him and a few kids over heard her and started to laugh and snicker at her calling her a geek and a nerd for being so smart and being into the stuff that she was.

Ulric sighed, "I want to and have tried but they just brush it off as me being funny. You saw how they acted around me, they just want to be around me to look cool and try to get close to me." he said as he looked down. Hearing her, he smiled, "and that is amazing that you created something when you were seven, you must really be proud of yourself." he said as he looked down at her and then sighed when he heard those other people run by laughing at her. "I wish I could say I have done something like that, but all i can say I have ever done is be something I am not. But I am glad your mother told you to come to school, it is nice actually talking to someone for once."

"Well... no... I helped create something that has nearly killed one of my only friends... if I don't fix the programing he could die any day now." Luna said quietly looking down with a frown as they made it to the lunch room and she pulled a lunchbox out of her bag and went to sit at an empty table just hoping that the 'cool' kids wouldn't bother her or Bernard if he decided to sit with her.

Bernard smiled when he heard her and knew that this was the same girl he had met in the game. Following her into the lunch room, he sat down next to her, "well I am sure he will die. I mean he did seem kind of lively when I saw him the other day, sure he was a little weak but he still had life in him." he said as he looked at Luna and smiled. Ignoring the commotion and chatter as he sat with her and couldn't' believe it. He had found a friend! a actual friend!

Luna looked up at him shocked then looked around for a moment to make sure no one was too close to hear them. "Ulric?" she whispered surprised and rather shocked... that was the only way he could have seen him... only a few people had access to his house or his room in the castle and she knew all of them by face... was he the boy she had just taken under her wing just last night?

Ulric smiled at her when he saw the shocked face on her and nodded. "who else?" he asked as he smiled happily. "I can't believe that your here. I mean I never thought i would met anyone from any of my games but here you are." he said excitedly and tried to calm himself down. But this truely had to be the best thing that has ever happened to him.

"Well... Honestly if it was up to me I wouldn't be living here in the first place... I will still be living a few houses away from Kaji... I would still be able to check on him every day... but anyway, thank you again for grabbing those papers for me... if I'm right when I plug those into the mainframe at Kaji's house he should come out of the game and everyone else that is sick in the castle should be able to leave as well... I hope." she explained softly then sighed. "Now all I have to do is get enough money to pay for bus fair to get two towns over and hope for the best." she said softly and rubbed her head a bit before she started to eat her sandwich.

Ulric nodded as he listened to her and frowned, "I am sorry that he has been like that for so long." he said as he looked at her, "but I am sure with the code you have you can get him back. I just know it." he said as he smiled at her. By then everyone was watching them, surprised at how friendly he was being to her and seemed to care for her. He also seemed to show more emotion around her more. THough when he heard her, he laughed a little bit, "don't worry about the bus, I can drive you there in my car. It wont be any trouble for a friend." he said as he looked at her and started to eat his own food.

"R-really? You wouldn't mind? Are you sure?" Luna asked and suddenly heard some of the popular girls walking over and tried to ignore them for as long as she could... untill they were at the table. "What's going on here? Why are you talking to this looser Bernard?" she girl said and suddenly Luna became very quiet again and stared down at the table as she ate the last of her food.
