Bio: Anika finished high school at the age of 14, her parents put in college a few months later and she graduated within two years. The teachers couldn't believe it. Basic point- Anika was a super smart girl who had many, many expectations. Those expectations came with a price... Anika fell ill at 17, shortly after starting medical school, and she had to be rushed to the hospital. Her parents couldn't figure out what caused her sudden illness- the doctor could look at Anika and tell that she hadn't been eating, stressed to a dangerous level and at risk for having a heart attack.

It's been two years since she was first taken to the hospital and she still has a room. Her parents asked when she could taken out and the doctor told them she wasn't healthy enough to go home. That's it.

Anika laid in the hospital bed, listening to her parents arguing with the doctor- she wanted to die. She felt like crap and looked like someone you'd find in the morgue. Her green eyes were dull and empty, her skin was as pale as a ghoul. She stared out the window next to her bed and at the beautiful full moon glistening in the midnight sky. "You're mocking me...aren't you...?" She spoke in a broken voice that was barely a whisper. "Why'd you let me end up here...?" She asked in the same broken voice.

Bio: Harru was a human at one time, and was sent to heaven at an early age. He slipped away from humanity one day as he saved his brother from a flowing river. He had a way with making people happy and to brighten spirits. He had worked his way up ranks and was sent for his first true mission, protecting a girl with close ties to death.

Harru was flying around that night headed to the hospital that he was told to go. Room 214 was the place, but he didn't head inside, he perched out on the window sill. "I'm not mocking you" He said with a slight cock or his head. His gray wings glistened in the moon light. "Better stay quiet, don't want them to enter do we" He said with a smile, and sat down dangling his feet inside the room. "Anika? Am I right?" Harru finally stated with a chuckle. There was something about him that he wouldn't explain just yet, but it would come out soon enough.

Anika blinked a couple times when someone answered her empty question that was directed at no one. Her green eyes went wide when she found the source of the voice, and his wings. She only saw them for a moment- but she knew she saw feathers. Anika slowly sat up in the bed and stared at him with blank eyes. "Who's asking...?" She whispered faintly.

"Oh now where are my manners. The names Harru" He said standing on his feet and giving her a bow. "I didn't meant to startle you either. You kinda have some people guarding your door." Harru said gesturing towards it. "and besides if I just walked on in, I wouldn't make it this far." He sat down on the chair next to her bed. "Why are you here? you should be out spending time with friends, having a blast, finding a boyfriend" he added as he smiled. "I know what your thing, This guy talkes too much and why is he here..Well why you think I am here?" He asked Anika softly.

Anika scoffed quietly under her breath and shakes her head lightly. "No one's guarding my door... My parents are just arguing with the doctor... They should be leaving soon." She gazed at Harru. "Why am I here? Your answer's standing outside the door...." Anika anwered plainly as she laid back in the bed. "I'm sick and their fault..." She mumbled bitterly. Anika stared at the ceiling. "I think you're here because I need someone in my life that'll watch either watch me, take care of me, show me a world beyond this one.... I don't know..." She rolled over onto her side, gazing at Harru. "I couldn't be lucky enough to be taken out of the world..." She whispered.

Harru scooted the chair a bit closer to her bed. "Guarding is close enough, and sick? says the doctor or says you?" He asked as he smiled. "Need someone, yes you do. Watching you isn't really what I would call it, and your not ready to leave this world. Your still too young." Harru stood up and sat down next to her. "I can tell your not scared of me, and I'm happy for that." He placed a hand softly on her forehead. "Whens the last time you walked?" He asked her and stood up offering her his hand. "Please trust me" He pointed to the door. "They know I'm here by now, so whats it hurt." he said with a smile. He knew she could do it, she had the will to continue living better than the way she is.

"Says the doctor... Can't you see it when you look at me? I look like a walking corpse." She replied as she sat up, her feet dangling over the side of the bed. "I've been here for two years... Can't eat, can't sleep, I can't even walk because of how weak my legs are..." Anika whispered brokenly. She looked at him with blank eyes. "I have no reason to fear you... Only question." She blinked a few times when he placed his hand upon her forehead, then she watched him. "...About a month ago..." She whispered as she stared at the offered hand. Anika moved her green gaze to her thin, weak, legs. "I'll fall..." Anika whispered faintly.

"Trust me, you won't fall" Harru said as he took a step back. "From today on, things will change for you. I promise." He added as he waited for her to try. He knew she would, he gave her the strength. She will be back to her old self soon, and he would get her out of the hospital. The only thing was, he couldn't leave her side. Once he was gone, she would drop back to her weak stat and get worse fast. He would protect her, and make sure she lived a better life. "Anika, I am your guardian Angel. Everything will be just fine" He said as his eyes connected with hers.

Anika watched him, half curious and half suspicious. She listened to every word that came out of his mouth. Whether or not she believed it- that was another story. Her green eyes went wide. "My... Guardian... Angel..." She whispered so softly you almost couldn't hear her at all. "I have one...? After all these years... I thought..." Anika brought her ghostly-white hands to her mouth. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. "How're you standing right in front of me...?" She asked in a faint whisper.

"I was connected to you" Harru said as he sat back down. "I know its hard to understand, but its true." He added. "I may come across a bit odd, and you may not even think this is true. But yes, There has always been an angel looking over you, and Its my turn. I just plan to do things my way." he added and stood back up. "This time tomorrow you will be back to full health, and I will get you out of here. The thing is.." He stopped and walked toward the window looking out at the moon. "If you get too far away from me, things will get worse. we have the same mark now, in a way we are one. Without each other we are nothing." he sighed, trying to explain this was hard, but he had to try. "Without me you get worse, and without you I wound be able to stay an angel anymore. Its a small line between an angel and a fallen angel, but they are close." He stopped and turned back to her. "Do you trust me?" He asked looking at her again.

Anika listened intensely, her eyes fixated on the strange boy. She moved a few strands of her red hair over her shoulder and fiddled with them, moving her eyes to the floor. At first she was silent, taking in every word that was spoken by her Guardian. Yeah, it was difficult, but it sank in.
She was too smart to say he was lying... she knew better. Anika took a deep breath and moved her empty gaze to meet with Harru's. She nodded lightly, a very faint smile coming to her pale lips. "I trust you..." She whispered as she gracefully raised a delicate hand for him to take.

"Thank you" Harru said with a smile. He was glad she understood what he was trying to get across. It was hard, that was true, but he wouldn't back down from a challenge. "Anika.. I won't give up on you" He said and grabbed her hand softly. She had to trust him, but most of all she had to believe in herself as well. "I am not sure how your parents will really handle this, but I am not going anywhere, promise." He said as he looked at her. "What would you say after tomorrow.. we get out of here.. Go somewhere new, life a better life." Harru hopped she would trust him enough to leave the past and move toward some place that she could have a better future. His gray eyes glimmered in the fake hospital light, and his wings were viable for her to see.

Anika shakes her head a little. "My parents'll flip. Truth is, the doctor's more like a parent than my actual parents..." She chuckled a single-noted light-hearted laugh. Her grip around his hand tightened a little, not much though, as she gazed at him with soft eyes. "Here I go." She whispered quietly as she slowly inched herself off the bed until her feet could touch the cold tile floor, sending a shiver up the frail girl's spine. Anika used her free hand to grip the bar on the bed to pull herself up slowly so she didn't hurt herself. Once she was standing, she gazed at Harru with different eyes- they weren't empty like the rest of the times she looked at him. There was a barely noticeable sparkle hidden within her green eyes. Now, she just had to let go of the bar- not of Harru- but the bar attached to the bed...

"That was just an offer, I won't make you do anything your not ok with." Harru said with a soft smile. "I will take care of the hospital bills, and everything. I promise" He said as he felt her grip get tighter. He knew she was trying her best, and he was proud of her. Harru was able to do almost everything, for the most part, there was nothing holding him down. "I don't think your parents would like me being around too much though.. just saying" He added, and they were his only worry. The parents would more than likely want their girl back, and not have some random guy around her all the time, but that was something they had to work out together.

Anika shakes her head lightly. "I don't care what my parents think- once I leave I don't wanna go back... Too many expectations they'll have me hold up to... That's why I'm here." She moved her eyes to the floor so she could watch her feet. She slowly loosened her grip around the bar that was connected to the hospital bed and sluggishly took a few baby steps away from the bed. "Doubt they'll see you though- they don't believe in angels. Plus, if you're my guadian then only I should be able to see you..right...?" She said quietly, then brought her gaze to meet his as she questioned curiously. Anika went to take an actual step but ended up tripping over one of the cords and fell into Harru because she accidentally let go of his hand- she wasn't heavy enough to knock him over though. So she just held onto him for a minute.

The arguing between the parents and the doctor had stopped and footsteps indicated that the three of them left the doorway. Her parents were going home and the doctor was going back to his office.

"You are right, sorry I forgot, your the first one I came down to see personally." Harru said as he was still watching her. "Where you would like to go, we can make it happen." He added, he saw her hand leave the bed and it made him happy. The voices in the hall stopped, and was caught off guard when Anika fall at him. "I got ya" he said softly placing his arms around her so she wouldn't fall any further. "Be careful.. you need to take it easy. You will be a lot better tomorrow" he added still holding her up.

Anika's face was as red as a rose. "R-right..." She whispered so softly that he could just barely hear her. Anika kept her face buried in his shirt. He was so warm... It'd been a while since she felt warmth like this- or any kind of real warmth. It was nice... After a minute or so later she slowly stood straight. "We have a vacation house up in Iceland, my parents never go up there anymore." She said with a small smirk.

Harru stood there holding her as long as she was there. He didn't leave her one second as she stood up. "We will go as soon as your better. You need a little more rest and I will take care of everything else." He said with a warm smile. He pulled out what looked like a phone and started poking buttons. He was making sure all of Anika`s hospital bills were paid and a little extra went to her parents. He later put it back away and loomed over at her. "Everything is taken care of, and we just have to wait now. I'm glad you will be finally feeling better. Your too young to be stuck here like that" he added still standing beside her.

Anika nodded lightly to his response about when they could leave. She blinked as she watched him make a phone call, then went and carefully made her way back to the bed where she laid back down and got under the covers. It was late and she was tired... Once he was off the phone, she smirked a little. "You didn't have to go and pay for the hospital bills and give some to my parents- my parents should pay for the bills since they're the reason I'm here..." She curled up on her side and hugged one of the three pillows she had in the bed with her. "My parents don't deserve it..." Anika mumbled in a slightly muffled voice due to the blankets. She gazed at Harru with distant eyes. "I can't wait to get out of here." She whispered softly in a silk voice.

"I am not doing this to help your parents, I am helping Anika." Harru said as he sat down on the chair next to her bed. "They may be the reason, but they are having some troubles of their own as well. They may argue a lot, but they are still your parents. You may not agree, but that's how I am." He added softly. He didn't get to be around his parents much, and he knew how she felt about hers, but he was happy that they were her parents due to the fact she was born. "I can't wait either, it will be soon. Trust me" He said moving from the chair to sit on the side of the bed. He could feel how she felt, and he softly moved some hair from her face. "Everything will be better from here on out." He softly said with a warm smile.

Anika nodded her head slightly as she listened to Harru's truthful words. She was smiling ever so softly by time he finished speaking. Anika gently grabbed onto his wrist like a lost little girl and gazed at him with the most innocent green eyes anyone had ever seen. "Stay here until I fall asleep, please?" She whispered in the voice of a scared child.

Harru softly smiled at her words. "I am not going anywhere." He said sat there quietly looking down at her. He knew she was starting to get a lot better, just by starring into her eyes. The soft grip finally let go, and he genitally placed her hand beside her side and he slid over to the chair. He was getting tired as well, and dozed off.

A few hours had past and the sun was now shinning into the room. Harru jumped awake when Anika's room door popped open. One of the morning nursing staff came into the room. She checked the charts, and wrote a few things down. she attached a piece of paper to the clipboard and walked back out. Harru smiled, knowing the discharge papers just arrived, he could get her away faster that he expected. He just had to wait until she woke up.

Anika continued to gaze at him as he spoke, soon though her eye lids grew heavier and heavier until she couldn't hold them open any longer. Once she had drifted to a peaceful sleep- for the first time in a long while since she's been here- her grip on Harru's wrist slowly loosened until her hand let go and laid on the bed.

When the sun began to shine into the room, Anika simply pulled the white sheets over her face and continued to sleep. She slept even after the morning nurse came and went. She didn't wake from her sleep.

Harru sat in the chair for a while, and watched as she covered her head. He knew then, it was going to be a long day. He placed his hand on his cheek, his star tattoo was deep black and warm to the touch. Harru stood up and sat down on the bed beside her, he knew she was getting the rest she needed.

A few more nurses came and left the room as the day went by. Anika's face was still covered, but a hand was under the pillow. He scooted over and held her hand, he didnt want to ever let her go. There was a reason he was sent to be with her, but what was it, what danger.

It was close to three in the evening when Anika finally awoke. Her green eyes fluttered open and stared into space for a few minutes before they wandered until landing on Harru, her red hair being sprawled out over the pillow and under the sheets that covered most of her face. It wasn't until Anika pushed the sheets back some with her free hand that she noticed that Harru was holding the hand that laid under her pillow. She slipped her hand from his and looked at the sheets with a light rosy blush covering her cheeks. "What time is it...?" She asked softly as she let her legs drape over the side of the bed. "I'm starving." Anika added with a giggle, looking back at Harru with a small smirk.
