Sucked to Alternate
 

"Bye Mother!" said an energetic elf-like creature as she left her home. She was dressed in what most in her village wore. Clothing that allowed you to move freely, most of the youth wore this type of clothing that is. "Juliana, wait!" He mother had stopped her at the door, wearing a simple blue silver dress and white apron that fell to her ankles. The mother had normal human looking ears but matching blue hair just like Juliana's. "Where do you think you are going young lady?" Juliana groaned and said. "To the Enchanted Forest, where else mother?" Her mother shook her head. "No, that place is far too dangerous, ever since that meteorite crashed in Lingas all the creatures have been acting funny. Besides---" "Bye mom!" Juliana cut her off and began running for the forest.

Once she was in the forest she began to skip around. "This place is do pretty!" She sang. The trees seemed to sparkle as the sun hit their leaves. After a few moments of wandering around in the forest she sat down on the ground and removed the strange looking Black and blue pendant on her neck. "Hm, Father..." She stroked the stone that once belonged to her father. After a few moments the stone began to glow and the wind picked up. "Huh, wha...what is going on?" As she held the pendant, it glowed brighter and acted as if it was pulling something into her world. That is impossible though...

tyler walked out of his families loft apartment near the center of the city, he hated it here all the noise and people everywhere and at all times of the day. They had moved here into the city around a year ago, when his dad got promoted and moved into the corporate office from his small job in the country side he commuted too. Tyler missed the fact that he used to be able to walk out into the fields near their old house and relax away from everyone and some times with his friends. He hadn't found any here in the city every one was too much into their cliques and they shunned others who they hadn't grown up with.

"Eggs, milk, and candy." he said to himself as he placed an ear bud in each ear and looking both ways before turning and walking out towards the older part of town. He kept his eyes down walking with the flow of people as they all shuffled in the city like a heard of sheep in a pen. He seemed to stick out of the crowd even, as he wore his brown sweatshirt and shorts, with his sandals, unlike everyone who bustled around him in their suits and ties. He got bumped around a few times as people seemed to be in a rush to get everywhere so he decided to take a short cut, turning and heading into an alley, ones that he had traveled often, since they reminded him of the paths in the forests and fields from his old home.

He turned down each alley knowing exactly where to go, though doing this allowed him to take his time, since he hated being couped up inside. He made his way until he came to the old town square from the beginning of the town,it was small and dark, the cobble stone clanked against his sandles as he took a few steps inside. The air here was different, not just because the sound was gone, but it dint smell of car fumes or smoke, instead the only smell was that of the crisp morning air. He always took his time here it was the one place he came to hang out when alone, but he didn't really have time to stay. So he continued walking past the fountain in the middle of small courtyard and towards the next street. Just before he reached the next turn he felt a pulse that echo'd in his ears making him stop dead in his tracks.

Behind him it came again, a slight pulse coming from some where behind him, he had never heard something like this, it wasn't really audible but instead it called out drawing and commanding him to come back to the courtyard. He couldn't resist turning and walking slowly back into the dark place, he looked at the fountain seeing the molded figure of a small boy standing as water trickled from its eyes. He cautiously took a few steps towards the fountain the pulsing seeming to calm down, though one would come out every once in a while, just softer. He made it eventually to the fountain looking at it and trying to figure out what was going on, he took out his ear buds and placed them in his pocket before leaning over and looking into the water. At first all he saw was his own face, with his brown hair obscuring part of it, but then slowly he noticed a slight glow coming from the water making him reach out and try and grab what was glowing.

As soon as his hand hit the water an audible and forceful pulse hit him making him take a step back, but by then it was too late. "What was that?" he exclaimed as he looked at his hand briefly before he noticed the winds had picked up and were making his hair jostle around. He took another step back, but the wind continued to swirl around him blocking his view of the world around him as dust flew every direction. He closed his eyes and raised his hands to protect his face as he felt a lurching feeling in his stomach and a sudden change of texture beneath his feet. He opened his eyes and was suddenly blinded by sun light from the canopy above, he squinted and looked up trying to figure out where he was. The trees looked different from any he had ever seen they seemed to sparkle in the light and he couldn't put his finger on it, but something was off. "Where... am.. i." he whispered to himself as he brought his gaze back to the ground. He suddenly realized he was alone and his eyes quickly did a one over before they grew wide and he took a few steps back. He knew something was off now, her hair was blue and her ears, but before he could finish the thought he found out he should have still been looking at the ground as he tripped over a tree trunk landing with a thud on the ground. He stayed still after he hit the ground staring straight up at the tops of the trees trying to convince himself he was dreaming.

"Ah, whoa, what was that?" Juliana spoke to herself as she looked down at her pendant and then back up to see a male, staring at him as if she was some sort of monster. Where did he come from and his clothes were so....strange. Most of the males around his age would wear a simple cloth around there hips and maybe a vest on their torso but he was completely covering his chest, like he was ashamed of himself and then, bam!

"AH, hey, are you okay?" Juliana stood up and hurried over to him. The girl stood over him, his sight of the treetops being replaced by her face. "Where did you come from? Who are you? And why are you wearing so much clothing? Are you ashamed? Shy?" She blinked as the sudden questions came out.

"Ah!! Are you from the Travaniz army?" She suddenly jumped back. "That would explain it, wearing those weird clothes, covering your body...and..." She took a few more steps back, covering her eyes. "No, this is too weird....wait...you must be some sort of magic user. You created that blinding light so you can sneak up on me, is that right?"

Tyler was looking at the trees when Juliana's face suddenly was there again making him blink rapidly and then sigh, this wasn't a dream. He was laying there trying to figure out what to say, mainly trying to formulate a question about the girls ears and why they were so long, when she suddenly jumped back. He rolled his head over to look at her and noticed her shielding her self making him raise an eyebrow and prop himself up on his elbow. "Hello, Um.. what the heck are you talking about?" he said as he slowly got up and pushed leaves and dirt off of his sweat shit looking at himself seeing if there was anything that seemed wrong and hurt.

He stopped and looked back at the girl and furrowed his eyebrows, "Um ok... lets start over, My name is Tyler... whats yours." he said pointing to himself and then he pointed at her, "Whats your name? lets just start there its simple right?" he said keeping his distance, as a million things ran through his head about what she could be. He chuckled at himself slightly, 'she looks like an elf,' he thought as he smiled slightly, then suddenly realized that if that was the case he had no clue where he was. "Oh and yes I'm fine i think... just confused... really confused." he said in his questioning tone as he remembered her first question, still looking at Juliana and wondering what the heck she was.

He looked at his surroundings for a moment and his breath was taken away, it looked like the perfect forest, he could hear animals, and the trees towered above, but let in enough light to make everything sparkle. He almost forgot about the girl as he turned around his mouth slightly open looking at the sky and the trees and everything around him. He finally came to rest facing Juliana again and he brought his gaze back down, "Wow." he mouthed before sitting down on the ground since his legs felt weak after being transported here.

Juliana watched him curiously as he spoke directly to her, tensing a bit. "Ah..." She covered her mouth, staring at him with her big lavender eyes. He was strange, she hasn't seen many like him in her land. Most were pale wit light colored hair or eyes. He was tan with bronze hair and eyes to match. He was a sight for sure.

The girl watched as he pointed to himself and then to her. "Oh, I'm Juliana...you mean you are not from the Travaniz army? Whew..." She seemed to relax a it but didn't make any move to come near him, instead she watched as it seemed he finally noticed his surroundings. He was acting like he never seen a forest before.

"Tyler...are you some sort of traveler?" She tilted her head and finally moved closer to him, sitting infront of him. He spoke of confusion and she need in agreement. "I am sort of confused myself...where are you from Tyler?" She asked curiously as she tilted her head. For a moment the girl suspected he was from one of the southern villages, considering how tan he was. However he wouldn't have time to answer, a growl was suddenly heard and out of nowhere a big ape-like thing appeared but it was not an ape. It's fur was a deep raven and his eyes glowed like ambers and sharp teeth.Plus it stood straight instead of slouching. "Oh no, we got to run!" She stood and grabbed his hand, pulling his to his feet and ran. Her mother was right, it seems like the strange meteor fall has affected the animals of this forest as well. It was strange but ever since that thing landed the animals have been acting strange. The animals in this forest use to be kind.

Tyler looked at Juliana and cocked his head slightly as she spoke her name, "Interesting name... and no im not from that travesty.. or what ever you call it army." he said trying to figure out the word she had just said. He looked back down from his quick glance up at the trees when she said his name and nodded, "I guess technically i am if this is not home.. but i dont think it was really my choice to travel here." he said watched her coming closer to himself. He looked at Juliana and blushed slightly, she was barely dressed by his homes standards and her skin was so pale and her hair was vibrant, she looked like something almost human but defiantly not at the same time. Tyler blushed as he looked at Juliana, back home the way she looked was so skimpy and he had never seen someone wearing something like what she was wearing now.

Tylers head snapped towards the growl and he looked over Juliana's shoulder at what lumbered out of the forest his eyes slightly wide. He felt Juliana grab his hand and looked down as she pulled him up and started to run, he kept running with her trying not to look back, but the gorilla like creature was still in his mind, "What.. what is that thing?" he asked as they ran his eyes almost glued to the ground so he didn't trip over anything as they ran. There was little he could do as they ran he had no idea where they were going, and so he followed the strange girl he had just met, who he barely even knew what she was.

Juliana glanced at him as they ran and spoke. "That is a Grandua, once friendly but it seems it has become savaged just like the rest of the animals. So mother was right..." She mumbled the last part and sighed. "Just keep running, when we reach the bridge to my my village it will stopped, the animals can not leave the forest!" She looked ahead again and suddenly tripped over a loose root, rolling on the ard ground a few times before she hit a tree.

She looked up and saw the animal closing in on her and she let out a scream. "Jiaz!" A male voice was heard and a blinding light shown. After a moment the animal was wrapped in a ball of light and it began carrying him deep into the forest. "Are you alright Juliana?" A male moved to help Juliana up. The male had bright red hair, ears like Juliana's. He was wearing a simple cloth around his waist and some shorts that stopped above his knees. is chest was bare but there was a tattoo on his right bicep of a swirling sun and a black hand around both arms. He wore an earring on his left ear that was made of beautiful blue gem.

"Ah! Karri!" She smiled and took his hand as helped her up. "I am fine..." Karri pointed at her leg that was bleeding from a cut she must have gotten when she tripped. The blood was vibrant against her white skin. "Ah, oh...heh..." She rubbed the back of her head and suddenly Karri changed the subject. "Who is he? Wait...is he..." He then got infront of Juliana as if to protect her. "You Travaniz scum!" Juliana placed her hands on his shoulders. "No, he is just a traveler. His name is Tyler." Juliana smiled at Tyler.

Tyler ran his hardest, he had never been really good at sports and he always almost failed gym because he just wasn't motivated to do much at gym class. He looked over at Juliana and tried to figure out what she said the creature meant though his blood was pouring into his ears, meaning he could barely hear her and as she blinked she seemingly disappeared. His eyes widened and he quickly looked back noticing her fall, in his head it was moving in slow motion looking at her and then the beast running down at her and he turned trying his hardest to get back in time to help Juliana.

He charged forward, but before he got there he felt the bright light and looked up at the beast thinking it had done something, but he noticed it seemed to be retreating due to some light. He stumbled and tumbled on the ground, then he sat up and looked over at Juliana and noticed some new guy there near her. He slowly rose to his feet scanning the body of the man who was helping Juliana up and finally brushed himself out and then looked at Juliana. He heard her say she was okay and he then stumbled back covering his face as he heard the mans voice turn aggressive towards him.

He slowly lowered his hands as he looked at Juliana as she told the man 'No' and looked at her smiling slightly, "Uhhummm." he cleared his throat then looked at the man, "Hello... I'm Tyler... I have no clue why im here or what that was.. or who you guys are... or why you look like that.. in truth I'm really really confused." He said looking at the man and how he was dressed and the tattoo's unsure of what he should do. Part of him wanted to just run but he didn't want to run into that monster again or one like him, so he stayed still putting his trust into the girl he had just met.

Karri stared at the male with uncertain eyes, he looked at Juliana. "Are you sure, it could be a trick." Juliana puffed out her cheeks. "I am serious, just trust me!" She seemed to be pouting a bit. Karri placed a hand on her head and then glanced over at the male. "Tyler? That is a strange name. Do you really know nothing? And what is wrong with what we look like?" He looked down at himself and Juliana before looking over Tyler. "You are the one with poor taste in clothing. Look at that, you are not even exposing your chest, are you not a man?"

Juliana pulled on Karri's ear and frowned at him, almost scolding him. The male raised his hands in defense and spoke again. "I guess it doesn't matter now." Juliana smiled and then made her way to Tyler, not worried that her leg was bleeding, it was just a cut after all. Juliana took his hand and tugged on his arm. "Come with us back to my village, the Elder Swean can answer all your questions." Juliana smiled a kind smiled, she was truly interested in this man, he was different, she also wondered if he could be her ticket to discovering the unknown.

Tyler watched the exchanges between the girl and the man still confused about what was going on, he had an urge to run, but the only place was back where that beast was and that was something he never wanted to see again. He snapped too and looked at the male who was speaking to him and nodded, "I really... don't understand." he whispered feeling slightly ashamed then blushed and hid is face slightly as the male mentioned that he didn't have a shirt on and that he must not be a male because of it. Tyler was going to say something, but before he could the girl seemed to real in the guy and so Tyler stayed quiet for the moment.

He looked around then felt a small hand in his and looked down following it back up to Juliana's face smiling slightly then nodding, "Well... ok... i guess i can.. i mean i have a lot of questions... a lot...." he said softly trying to not look at the male and instead trying to concentrate on what questions were most important to ask who ever he was going to go see. He put his other hand in his sweatshirt pocket and looked at the ground something catching his eyes as it ran down the girl's leg, "Oh my god... your bleeding!" he exclaimed as he stopped walking and looked at her leg trying to remember what little he could from first aid training and what he should do.

Juliana smiled at him when he agreed to come back but Karri didn't seemed so pleased, grumpy as ever. Karri was like a brother to Juliana and he might as well be, Karri was her first cousin but he has lived with her and her mother since he was ten three years older than Juliana. The story of his past would be disgust at a later time. But the matter of the fact was that Karri was very protective of her, especially when other men approached her.

"Ah, oh!" Juliana looked down at her leg that the boy seemed to be making such a big fuss over. "It is okay, really, it is just a cut." Karri placed a hand on his head, keeping him from stepping closer to Juliana. " Don't touch an open wound with such filthy hands, do you wish to infect her with whatever germs you may be carrying from whatever land you are from?" Juliana sighed and shook her head. "Honestly Karri, that wasn't very nice." Juliana looked at Tyler and said. "I trust you, I would gladly accept your help." Karri just sighed."You are so easily trusting Juliana."

Tyler looked at Juliana and then at Karri still really nervous about this whole situation and this new guy who was super protective over the only other person he had ever met here in this weird land. He felt Karri's hand on his forehead and he stopped then thought about it for a moment and shook his head, "You're right... i have no idea if something i have could kill you guys." he said taking a step back and letting go of Juliana's hand sighing, "sorry im still really nervous and not thinking straight." he said softly bowing slightly to apologize.

He looked at Juliana's cut then at his clothes and finally realized how dirty he was after the being brought here and the chase, he felt weird and just out of place here, and he needed a shower. He sighed again then looked at Juliana smiling, "Ok thanks.. sorry sir.. im not really accustomed to your customs and all.. sorry." he said sighing slightly.
