" You alright?" Jenna asked Kirin. She was glad things were going so well, but something in the back of her mind kept bugging her.She hoped that they would be able to leave this town without anyone asking too many questions.

"Just nervous. It's all been going way to easy." He said. "Though I could just be paranoid." He was still pacing. He also felt a bit trapped, being inside had always done that to him, and it had just gotten worse since he got his wings.

" I agree it has. But in a few days we'll have the money for the house and head off to the school. " Jenna said feeling happy. She hoped things would remain this quiet. She had been troubled by the news that morning that some mutants had been caught sleeping in the abandoned warehouse. She wished she had known they were there.

Kirin had heard the news as well. He wished he had known about them. He would have taken them with them to the school. "We should go now." He muttered.

" Sounds like a good idea. " Jenna said and grabbed her purse. She was going to miss this place but knew this all was for the best.

Kirin pulled her close for a moment. He needed to calm himself down if he were going to be any good on this long road trip. He just held her, his wings wrapped around her for a moment before letting go. He went and grabbed his coat so his wings didn't show.

Jenna loved it when Kirin wrapped her in his wings. He helped her feel safe in such a scary time. "I'm going to miss this place. But we will have a great road trip to New York. " She said with a smile. She wanted to focus on the positive things.

"yeah," He said trying his best to keep his emotions under control. He kissed her cheek as he gathered up her suitcases. "So did you ever tell your parents you were moving?" He asked as they headed to the car.

" I did tell them. I just told them I got a job offer in New York and that it was for the best. They don't want me to leave but they didn't argue too much. " Jenna said.

"That's good, at least they won't report you missing." He said with a small chuckle as he put her bags in the car. He looked at the house he had lived in for such a short time. If he were honest with himself he would miss it. It had become home to him.

" The bad news is they don't like you for some reason. They don't know what we are though. " Jenna said sadly and got into the drivers seat.

"They probably think you're lying to them and I'm taking you away against your will. Or something crazy like. Heck it's probably they just blame me for taking you away." He said getting in the passenger seat.

" It's probably because I'm the youngest and I'm the only one who's not married. My parents and siblings are a little too over protective of me." Jenna said as she pulled out of the drive way and headed toward to the freeway.

"Maybe they are afraid I will corrupt you." He said laughing. He was glad to be out of there and on their way to some place, hopefully, safe.

" I'm already corrupted. I never was like my siblings and I figure it was because I'm a mutant. " Jenna said glad that they were getting closer to the free way.

"I wish I knew what it was like to have siblings." Kirin said. He was an only child and had always wondered what it would be like to have a sibling.

" It's not all bad. They tease me but I know they love me. I do wonder if my siblings also have powers, but I doubt they would say anything about them. " Jenna said as she turned into the freeway. " Here we go. Let me know when you're ready to stop for some food and rest. " She said.

"Will do," Kirin said with a smile. Soon he had fallen asleep. He awoke a couple hours later, his stomach growling loudly. "I think I'm ready for that stop." He said chuckling.

" Alright. There's an exit coming up. I'm sure there's a place we can get some food. " Jenna said since she was hungry too.

"Maybe we'll find some more people we can help." He said almost to himself. He let out a sigh as they exit. He hated this whole situation.

" Maybe we will." Jenna said hopefully.She pulled into a fast food place and found a parking spot. She hoped that they both would stay safe during this journey, since there were many people around.

Kirin stated close to Jenna as the entered the restaurant. His eyes never stopped moving. He knew deep down he would do anything to keep her safe. Even if it meant sacrificing himself.

Jenna looked at the menu and thought a hamburger sounded good. " Are we ready order?" She asked.

"Yeah I'm ready." Kirin said with a smile. When the waitress came he ordered a cheesburger with french fries, and a chocolate milkshake.

Jenna ordered the same and then gave Kirin a smile." This is great." She said happily.
