Unlikely (Donut & Phoneix)
What happens when everything you know turns upside down? For a group of teens that is what happens. When the unlikely events taught everyday in every country around the world become real. Will the world accept the unlikely or will the unlikely teens find themselves hunted to extension?
Name: Vance Age: 18 Crush: the Ocean Siblings: Sister (Phoenix) for short. Likes: Water, people, animals, his grandmother,and rain. Dislikes:Extreme heat, bossy know it all snobs, his step father, and the government. Bio: Van as he likes to be called, grew up different from most. Don't let his appearance fool you. His grandmother was one of the oldest witch doctors in Jamaica. He himself learned her stories as soon as his mother placed him in her arms. Growing up she and the locals or his true family as he calls them taught him to look beyond what you see and accept what most refuse too. There he learned he wasn't the only one different and could do things that all the stupid professors and teachers and every government official and science book said no human could. There he was home among his people till the day his mother married the devil. His people and grandmother fought to keep him but the man was too high up in the government and he was taken away from his home. After learning of his step son's condition as it was put to van, the man gave him away to the government for testing. To the step fathers disappointment van escaped and has every plan on returning home along with the strange girl he met along the way. He nicked named her Phoenix as his family would do to her gifts. The two had met in the government facility and together they escaped. He had gave her a tattoo of a phoenix on her left shoulder in his color of a sea dragon on his left arm as a symbol of their bond as siblings. The two now look for a way back to the one place where they can live in peace. Name: Serafina Nick name: Phoenix Age: 16 Crush: None Sibling: Brother Van Likes: plants, nature, and loves cake! Dislikes: cold, and gloomy days, and has a burring dislike for government. Bio:Phoenix lost her family when she was younger. Her family where from Mother Russia. Her parents knew she was different and that was the reason they gave her a name in their language that means fire. At the age of four she took out a whole rank of the Russian army when they came and killed her family leaving little Serafina by herself in the frozen wilderness. She was captured rather quickly on the edge of death from the cold by the Russian Government. The government raised her and taught her as best they could to control her gift using her only as a last resort. There she made a new family with the soldiers who accepted her as their sister. But for her that was only a illusion because the Americans killed her make shift family and soon found out about her. She was hunted and then captured. In the new world as many call America she was a prisoner in a testing facility. She learned their ways to survive and when all hope was lost to her she met Van. A very strange individual that she found a connection with. The two acted more like siblings protecting each other. It was to protect Van she used her hidden power and helped them escape. To this day the pair are always together. She wears a tribal tattoo of his people on her left shoulder as a symbol of their bond. Unlike Van she isn't sure of what will happen all she knows is she never again will trust any government and very little people other than Van. |

Name: Kyle (19) and Lizzy (17)Hothorn Being born to a general they were one of the first ones selected for experimentation. They had each other and only one another for 4 years of capture. Kyle got the nickname of "spike" for being able to shoot spikes and at times of uncontrolled power he would look like a porcupine. Lizzy was always taken to a different room, and she would never show her brother, she got the nickname of "the watcher" and she was the only one that knew when to use her power. One night they had the chance with a breach, and they made their way off the compound. They didnt know where they were going, but they would try and find someone to go some where with. ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~ Sitting up Kyle stretched, he slid on his leather jacket and looked over at a cracked window, they stayed in a old house for the night. Since they were close to the government they got a lot of knowledge of the plan that the scientists and knew where the world was starting to go. He sighed and got to his feet "How long you been up?" He asked snapping his eyes towards a corner behind him. "Couldn't sleep" Lizzy said as she walked forward toward the barred door. "There are a few people to the west, we may get help there" She said looking at her brother. Kyle didn't know what she would do, or did he care if it wasn't hurting him. "You know we are wanting to end this right, I don't think we would get help for that" He said as he snarled and took off to the door. "Stop being a hot head, and lets go" She said shoving him in the back |
Van slept quietly beside the pool of water he had fallen beside. Phoenix just shook her head as she stared at him knocked out from his lack of sleep. She had warned him he was over doing it but Mr. Know it all knew better. She grinned and laughed to herself as she watched him sleep. He was out like a log. There would be no waking him. Her eyes scanned the empty field. They had made it to a abandon farm house it looked like. She looked around happy to see they where covered by some brush. She rolled her eyes as she knew that they couldn't stay out in the open like this. It wasn't safe for them. They had done a amazing job escaping, and where close to making it to the one safe place for their kind. Now of all times Van had to go comatose on her. She leaned down and proceeded to pick Van up slinging him over her shoulders. She cursed in Russian as she moved to the house. She was very cautious as she approached. She froze as she heard sound coming from the old house. Her eyes narrowed on the door as she watched it come off. She sunk down into the bushes as she tried not to curse at almost being caught off guard and having Van's weight on her shoulder most of all. He was deceiving by his appearance. All he was was muscles from head to toe. No wonder the government goons couldn't harm him with force.
She sat quietly and motionless as she waited. Unlike Van she knew when to bide her time and when to act. Though when you where a force of nature you had to learn those lessens early. She was well a where what she was capable of. Not many did not even the government. They knew a little about her but not much. That is why she was categorized as a category 11. Because of any natural disasters what she could caused they feared would be much worse. She was housed in a special facility with special guards. She was a risk to the country it's self. What Van didn't know was the reason she was considered a national threat. Or why she was encased in water. Now that she was free she would use her power to it's full ability if it meant her and Van's freedom. She would however never harm the innocent civilians. She remembered what it was like when her whole village was whipped off the face of the earth the guilty and the innocent. She had pledged to never make another face that again as she did. She snapped out of her flashback of losing her village as her eyes became glued to the door once more. She could make out at lest two voices. |
Lizzy was about to reach and open the door but stopped suddenly, she felt something. Her eyes went black as she looked at the door, and she quieted her brother before he spoke again. Back in the facility, in small rooms she was hooked up to machines and could see light all over even though the room was pitch black. "The watcher" was the name they gave her, she could since the presence or others like her, more as a detection for the government. She didn't want to harm anyone and was glad it came in handy when they were on the run. "There are two people outside" she said not tuning down her tone. "Ones weak, the other is hard to tell" she said as she pushed the door open letting the sun break the darkness.
Kyle stepped out onto the porch and loomed around "we know your there, we mean no harm." He said not sure where he should be looking. His eyes solo. fixed on a cloud of dust "jeep!" He said loudly and he saw Lizzy duck back in the house. "Thanks for the warning on that" he said glaring backwards "welcome and there is five of them" she said peeking her head out. "If you wanna live you better step inside, if not good luck" he said as he took off quickly making it inside once again. Lizzy saw movement and knew this would be trouble if they got spotted so soon, she cracked the door hoping whoever was out there would be safe. |
Phoenix stared at the house as she heard the voices. She questioned who but quickly bolted to the house as fast as she could with Van. She felt she could trust the two for the most part. They knew of the government and apparently didn't like them that was good enough for her right now. She gently shoved Van through the door as she herself turned around happy to have the extra weight off. She stared at the cloud of dust as it approached. Apparently they didn't believe the Russians on how dangerous she truly was. She looked over her shoulder at the door. "Protect him and I'll protect you. " She said as she leaped from the pouch to the dead grass. A wicked grin appeared on her face as she moved further and further from the house. Once in the middle of the yard she paused. She closed her eyes as she waited. She let herself become one with the earth as she could feel the others finally come close enough so she didn't have to destroy the whole place just a small area. She slowly open her eyes as she now saw the figures and grinned. She threw up her left hand as the ground began to shake before her. It shook the men right out of their jeep as she felt the warm soothing magma begin to rise to the surface. In a matter of moments it busted through to the surface. She simply moved the lava around in the air with her mind. Within moments it formed a thick protective barrier around the house as it molted and tried to harden. She grinned as she used some of the extra magma to take care of the jeep and to make a barrier before the bubble of fresh lava harden completely around the house. She left a fresh strip of lava around the bubble to ensure no normal person could pass anytime soon. She closed her eyes as she let her hand down forcing the magma to recited back into the earths crust making sure that the bed rock and crust where back in place to ensure no eruptions could happen here again unless caused by someone like her. She open her eyes as she turned and headed back to the house. "This will only give us four days lead on them. I suggest we leave now. They will come back with more. " She said her Russian accent still coming out now and then.

Kyle watched as a girl came passing by them and he nodded watching her leave again. His eyes widened as she moved the earth, he was a bit jelious because his alteration wasn't that good. He couldn't help but to only watch her as she worked and couldn't believe she just place a barrier around them. "Indeed they will, where you headed?" Kyle asked not worried about names just yet, getting away would be the smart choose first. He walked toward the door and looked at her "we could use some help too" he added leaving it at that.
Lizzy grinned as the two people game out and into the house, "sure thing" she said kneeling down beside the boy as he laid there. She did what she thought was right and just made sure he was alright, when the darkness of the shelter smothered the house, her power kicked in and she could tell for sure he was going to be fine. She walked over by her brother "I am Lizzy this is kyle, interesting technique you got there." She said crossing her arms. She came a cross a bit cocky at times but she was a good person to know |
Phoenix gave a nod to the guy as she looked at him. She arched a brow at the girl as she moved pass to where Van was. She gently picked him up as she moved upstairs out of instinct. She found the source of her weakness as she threw him into the empty tub. She kicked the water on as she saw his color begin to return. She moved away heading back down the stairs to where LIzzy and kyle where. "I am Serafina and up there is Vance. If you wish to the other name I have acquired over the years by all governments if Phoenix. Van's you'll learn soon enough I'm sure. Give him a few moments with his beloved water and he'll be fine as rain." She said as she softly smiled. She looked at the two then back to Lizzy. "You...I've heard of you. So your the one that the soldiers found most attractive and felt bad about keeping. I told Van there where others. You where held in my Facility weren't you? They only put their most valuable possessions there. Or at lest one time you where. If you where then you where to read me at some point and make a connection." Phoenix eyes changed to a bright orange around her iris as she located the now broken chip on the girls neck. She herself removed her long red and orange hair from the left side of her neck and showed the scare where hers had been once. Her strange colored pupils shifted to Kyle. "Be happy that you don't have my gifts. At lest you have a chance for a normal life. I have been hunted for my gift. If you could control a natural disaster and wiled it as you saw fit you'd ensure you'd do anything to posses it." She said rather serious for a moment. " Van speaks of a place where there are others like us and norms or normal people that live happily together. It is his home that is where we are going. He promised we would be safe there. And for once I could be something other than a prized hunting trophy. " She said as the thought made her smile. She closed her eyes as she forced herself to hide her eye color. She smiled at the pair. "It is a pleasure to meet you. I can't wait for you to meet Mr. Know it all himself soon enough. Just so you know he's captain America or he thinks he is. He has that heroic quality to him...though he kind of reminds me of iron man with some of his commits. What a combination. Thank you for protecting him." She said as she grinned feeling the water starting to turn off. "Speak of the devil he is almost up."

Kyle looked over the girl as she came back down from upstairs, he couldn't help but to just watched her, she saved them and just took off with the other guy. Lizzy nodded after a while "so your Phoenix, one who can burn through anything, and the boy of water.. interesting combo" she said with a smile. "Live a normal life?"" That was mostly what kyle got out of what she said "at least you got looks.." he added taking off his jacket and handing it to his sister. His arms were bare with small spikes starting from his elbow leading to his knuckles, each knuskle was covered with a spike as well, good for close range fights. "I got this I have to live with." He added, he had a short temper but it usually helped them out more than getting in the way.
Lizzy tossed his coat back at him "no one cares, and she is right we need to move." She said looking AF her again, she could see the light of the other person moving around upstairs now. To Lizzy each person had an Aurora around them the color of their so called power, the girls was red and the boys was blue, kyles color changed a lot but she knew where her brother was. "You can trust us as well, we wanted out or there quickly" she added looking down "they will be after us, just so you know" she said turning seeing the blue figure walking down the steps ((If you need more from me let me know. thanks)) |
Van walked down the stairs feeling fully revived as he paused seeing the seen before him. He first noticed Phoenix but that was always his first reaction was to find her. She wasn't hard to miss with that hair of hers. He then noted the other two in the room. His eyes paused as the found the guy and looked at his arms. He then looked to Phoenix in a questioning way. "Do I want to know what you did? " He said after seeing the guy's anger on his face. He shook his head as he moved further down the stairs. "Great another hot head." He said as he looked at Phoenix in a disapproving manner. "I leave you for half a hour and I wake up to this. I really can't take you anywhere without you finding trouble. So what did you do to make him mad?" He said as he paused and looked out the window. He then looked at phoenix. "You didn't....you did..." He said as he saw the barrier. He looked over at the other two. "I take it you met my pain in the rear sister. Pleasure to meet you but we have to go now." He said as he felt the barrier start to shake. His eyes cut to Phoenix. "Some help here would be nice. And no talking I want action we will discuss this later." He said as he looked cross at her. His eyes then looked to the others as he watched her leave. "This is going to be really weird for you but follow me. Please don't be afraid phoenix want hurt you just trust her." He said as he leaped out the back window. He ran to where Phoenix floated the lava moving about her as he waited for the others. He knew this was going to whip out most her energy and after this she would be useless for 48 hours if not more. But it was the only way to travel without being detected.
Phoenix didn't say a word as she feel completely silent seeing Van. She just hung her head knowing he wasn't going to lessen to her any how no matter what she said. She didn't look for trouble it just had a way for finding her. She had always had the ability to be in the wrong place at the right time for trouble to find her. She ignored Lizzy and Kyle. Kyle was wrong he was lucky he could hide his with a shirt. She couldn't hide the monster she was with cover up or plastic surgery. The others even Van just thought she could set things on fire that wasn't her power at all. She could engulf the country in lava and turn it into a waste land with a thought. If she lost her temper the world was endanger. At lest he could touch anything he wanted. He could enjoy the rain and enjoy water. He didn't have to be careful when he ate to make sure it didn't melt. She kept calm as she leaped from the back window that Van was near. She moved with speed as as she jumped into the air summoning another vent of magma. The lava burst through the ground again as it circled her. She waited for the others and for van. |
Kyle looked at Lizzy and they stared blankly at each other. Kyle held his jacket not wanting it back on, he calmed down some once again "she didn't do anything" he told the guy as he watched as she took off runny. Lizzy was running behind the girl, she didn't care what was going to happen she just knew they could trust these two. Kyle watched and stood there a bit longer and followed the guy out with the others. He cough a blimps of his shoulder and as they took off "where ya get the ink?" He asked now standing beside them. Over time kyle had got use to the smiles that he had, but at times they could just get in way.

Van looked to the guy then back to Phoenix. "My family we all have them. As soon as we get out of here we can all chat about it. I just hope phoenix can survive this long eno..." He said as he held up his hands making a water appear around them using the water from the atmosphere. He made a bubble that encased the four of them. Within moments the lava encircled the bubble. He used all his power to keep the bubble intact as they became one with the lava and vanished down into the earths mantel. He kept his mind on the bubble to keep everyone safe and keep the water there and to ensure they didn't incarcerate on the way down. He looked up at Phoenix worried about her as he saw her starting to grow weak. "Just find a place for us to exit." He said hoping she was still able to lessen to him. He closed his eyes as he felt the bubble all of a sudden rush up. With in moments he could tell they where in the air since his stomach had joined his brain and they where free falling. Phoenix had found a active volcano for them to exit. The lava on the outside of the bubble had already harden do to the water now the rock just cracked away they soon saw sky. He quickly gathered more water from the air and used it to help him slow the bubble down enough to make it a rather soft impact as they hit the ground. He let the bubble of water fade as he rushed to Phoenix. By now she unconscious it would take a week in a volcano to fix her. He gently moved her hair from her face as he gently picked her up in his arms looking around not sure where they where. They weren't anywhere he knew and they needed to find shelter. Apparently the volcano Phoenix found was quite active and really shooting it's parts out far and wide.

Kyle nodded and held his ground as they were swollowed up but the water and then the lava. Lizzy stood there with her eyes closed watching them work together was something to watch, she could see their energy flowing and the girls was dropping rapidly. As the watcher, Lizzy was also a good defender and an alright healer so she would have to help her out when they landed. Kyle cough ground first and watched as the guy got the girl "she is something" he said walking up beside them "need an help?" He asked and glanced back at his sister. She rolled here eyes as she stood up "there is a shack that's way" she said pointing north as she walked closer to them. "May I help her?" She asked softly and placed a hand over her forehead. Her hand started glow a little and she focused on the girl more, if this didn't help her now it sure would speed up the process. Kyle was looking around while his sister did her thing. "I'm kyle and that Lizzy, thanks for getting us out of there.. we have some questions for you two as well" he said not really asking the questions now just to inform him. Lizzy moved her band "that should help, she drained a lot by doing that" she informed him. "Let's get moving for now, she will be alright" she could see energy starting to rebuild inside the girl.

Van gave a nod as he looked at Kyle." Pleasure to meet you two." His eyes when to Lizzy as he watched her. "Thank you and your quite something yourself little lady." He said not meaning to sound rude. His eyes scanned for the shack. He gently picked Phoenix up as he held her against him moving as fast as he could to the shack. He kicked the door open once he reached it. He rushed in happy to find it was empty. He found a clear corner and placed Phoenix down where she could rest. He turned as he waited for LIzzy and Kyle.

"Thanks.." she said with a slightly raised brow, Lizzy was waiting back for kyle as they bother headed to the shack. "We better just play it safe, if we pass anything threatening, we will take care of it then" she told him just before the walked inside and slammed the door. Kyle made sure the door was stuck shut and he looked at van "we have to be straight with you, we know exactly what the government is planning. That makes us want to know what your planning, you know so we can see what direction we should take." He explained as he loomed over at his sister, ignoring the glare she was giving him.
Pushing her brother against the wall, Lizzy stood in between him and van. "Its about time you should understand more about things" she said closing her eyes and opening them not long after, her eyes were white now and the room started to dim as she was sucking the light away, she was showing them what she could see. Each person was outlined with a color, kyle had a smile on his face and it turned into confusion "why is she half red?" He asked pointing at phinox, Lizzy didn't need to look "that's her energy level, I got the nickname of the watcher because I can detect anything that is special like us." She stated "kyle, yours changes because your not fully matured yet" she added with a chuckle. "I hope you mean because my abilities are not ready" he said crossing his spiky arms and looking at her. |
Van gently placed Phoenix on the floor of the shack. He looked up at Kyle and Lizzy as they entered. He stared at Kyle as he processed what the guy had just told him. He was still trying to compute the meaning when his eyes widen as he watched the light begin to vanish in the small shack. He slowly stood as he inched back from Phoenix. His eyes locked on her red energy level. As he moved back the red aura began to grow brighter around her. He stopped once his back was flesh against the wall of the shed. He watched as the aura glowed brighter. He closed his eyes as he felt the volcano grow in power. As if the earth it's self was angry. His eyes slowly open as he stared at Lizzy.
" I am Poseidon the guardian of water." He said as his eyes shifted to Phoenix. " They called her many names. They have all done many things to her. The world would call her many names, Pele, Jung-Yi, death, and many other names. The earth is angry because she hurts. " He said as he looked to Kyle. " Don't take offense of what Lizzy said. Those who gain their powers last are usually the one's with the best powers and some of the powerful. Or that has been my experience over the years. " Van said as his eyes shifted back to Lizzy. "Please stop, don't wast your energy." He said as he looked up hearing the furry of the volcano growing as rocks began to smash the top of the shack. He closed his eyes as he tried to calm himself and think of happy times. "I grew up in a place where you Watcher where a leader. Where I and Phoenix where guardians and keepers of the balance of nature. I am from the island where gifted ones as us live freely and open. My people say that we "Gifted" are the guardians of nature. We keep the balance and make the link between nature and humans. Some say the heavens to humans. In the end there are only one of each our kind. There can only be one Watcher, and only one guardian of each element. It is the job of the elements to protect the watcher or to our kind your are the "oracle.' My grandmother told me stories of our kind. There are many others with similar ability's and more gifted than even the Oracle could see or number. She warned there are only one Oracle, One water, One fire, One Earth, One Air, and One Weather. I am the One Water. I can command water in any form it takes. I can live in water because it is part of me as I am it. If you hurt me now all the water on the planet would hurt. We each tie into the earth and her elements. Or that is what my grandmother believed." He said as he looked to where his tattoo was." I had my grandmother and the others on the island to teach me how to use my powers and how to control them. Before the devil himself took me from my home and executed the people I held dear. I watched every person gifted dye at the hands of the government and at the command at the man who became my step father. You two are not the only one's who has family in the government." He said as he paused as the pain hit him as if it had just happen. He saw the faces and heard the screams as he closed his eyes and pushed away the memories and screams. "So witch plan has big brother chosen to take? Kill us, make more of us, or use us then kill us?" He said as he open his eyes looking a Lizzy. He waited as his eyes shifted back to Phoenix as he watched her aura begin to glow even brighter as the volcano roared. The power seeming to match that of Phoenix's as he watched her power grow. " I just want to go back to the island. I want to go home. My grandmother before that demon killed her was the leader of our people. She had said that the island was the home for those special. The island offered many mysteries to our kind and shelter of shorts. The people there always welcomed our kind. I want to go there because I know that is where I am to go. There is a group of gifted gathering there by the help of the new weather, and air guardians. " He said as he stared at Lizzy as the volcano suddenly stopped all activity. " Close your eyes and focus." He said to Lizzy. "There should be a group of lights brighter than any you have every seen. Each one a different color. Blue, Red, Green,Silver,and White." He said as he stared at her. " I am the blue light, and Phoenix is your red. Those last two you should be the only person who can see their faces those are the other two gifted. Green has not appeared yet. I have not felt the present yet of Earth. " He said as he watched Lizzy. " They didn't know what you could do or they would have never let you go Lizzy. You should be able to see each face and know if they are good or not. You should also be able to look into the future for small moments. You should be able to heal and unfortunately kill. " He said as he stared at her waiting to see her reaction. "It doesn't matter what the government has planned they will kill us in the end. Ask her." He said as he looked to Phoenix. "You can't see the scars because her body heals to fast. But they are there. Unlike any of us at her birth her power was felt and known of. It got her entire family killed and towns surrounding her. They used her to cause death. They broke every bone in her body till she could no longer control herself and unleashed her anger and pain. If I make of rock I could heal her faster than this. I watched the men they tormented her broke every bone in her body, subjected her to deadly desies and experimented with new weapons. To ensure she wouldn't die they always lowered her in magma right after. They kept her in pain locking her in a chamber surrounded by water so deep only water could go. Denying her earth and magma. I want to go back to a place where she can rest. A place where no water will harm her for human's greed or pleasure. Where no man will every lay a hand on her in anger. Where the sun will greet her and so will smiling faces. " He said as he watched the slow aura fade around phoenix. |
