This is a thread built for a roleplay between myself and one other only, as the title says its a cloud x zack roleplay based in the world of final fantasy 7

Cloud was going thru basic training like all of the others. It was normal around here for him and the others since they was in a much lower rank than the others. But he gave it is all so he could move up in the ranks to become a SOLDIER. Finally after hours of training they was able to have free time. Unlike most of the men who head off to do something. Cloud was continue with his work out. Of course since they couldn't train in the simualiors anymore he would head to the weight room to work out.

(Sorry its a little short. Was having a slight writers block.)

1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4 He chanted in his mind to keep the time as he performed his trademark squats, he always did this at the end of a warm up, but he was so used them that he could have gone on like that for hours, he looked around the gym as the blond male entered, he had hoped to see general sephiroth bu it seemed that the white haired one was not going to show up in the gym, in two days both he and sephiroth will be leading a bunch of shinra guards all the way up mount nibel

Cloud looks around the gym seeing not very people here. He sighs deeply and shrugged as he needed to work out more before the next mission. Looking around before he notice one of the higher ups there. He knew the guy from other shinra guards but he never really talked to him. Cloud walks over to the bench picking up some weights and starts to lift them a few times. Cloud didn't seem nervous to much about going to Mount Nibel. In fact it would be easily for him since he praticely grew up in that kind of area being from Nibelheim. But it was the first time for him to become one of the elites soon after once his final test was finish. It would be nearly a month away before he could reach there.

Zack chose that moment to take a breather, his dark mako infused eyes cought themselves on the cerulean orbs of the blonde haired soldier, He walked over with almost practised ease as he slid into a seat near to cloud "Yo chocobo head!" he said jokingly "You're from Nibelheim right?" he wanted to know more about the place but he did have an ulterior motive, he liked the blonde and wanted to know more about him too. He waited, listening intently as he hoped the other would answer

Cloud felt someone sit next to him before he looks over at the other man. He blinks as he sets down the weights on the floor when he start talking. Why was people calling him chocobo head. Maybe because since his hair was nearly the same color as a chocobo. Cloud ignores that first comment before he answers the question. "Yes I am from Nibelheim...its my home town. So I heard the next mission is there. So maybe I will be able to visit my parents there." says calmly towards the other male.

"So that WAS you" he said rubbing his neck "I am so glad I got that right, Say... whats it like there? were going there on the next mission and I wanna know some good information, all the guidebooks skim over that place like the plague you know? I mean more people have heard of gongaga than they have nibelheim!" he joked lightly

He looks at the other and stands up. "Well its a small town and there are hills everywhere beside the mountain. It is also near to the town is a Mako Reactor. And also there is a Shinra Manor but I think its been abandoned for years." shrugged. He brushes some of his hair out of his face "Its just a peaceful town more or less."

"Wonder why we are being sent then?" He asked leaning back on the apparatus "Say you're that Cloud guy right?" he said "Yeah I remember seeing your face before now, didn't you try for soldier last year?" he asked "Is that why you are training too hard?" he laughed lightly "I can train you if you want, I can use it to stay tip-top" he laughed lightly and put his hand out to cloud "Come on lets train" he said

Cloud rubs the back of his head and nods "Yes my name is Cloud Strife...and I thought it was going to be in the next week. But I guess we just have to wait and see won't we." chuckles lightly. Cloud nods his head "Yea that's want I wanted...maybe soon I will be able to get to the rank of solider." sighs lightly before he stands up. He place the weights back before he looks over at Zack and shakes his head. "No I think I did enough for today. Time to head to the showers and grab something to eat." says then.

"Yeah I was nearly done anyway" he said with a large smile "Names Zack by the way" He said with his hand out to shake clouds in a friendly manner "Hey, want to meet at the lunch hall?, talk a little more?, I think I should get to know you if we are going to work together"

Cloud reaches out and shakes Zack's hand. "Nice to meet you, Zack." He pulls his hand back once they was done with the handshake. "Hmm sure...that would be good...let me just get wash up. I wouldn't feel right to eat without getting cleaned up." chuckles lightly.

Glad that the other returned his gesture of friendship he rubbed his head awkwardly when the other mentioned getting cleaned up "Yeah I should probably do that too, tell you what, meet back here in an hour and well head down yeah?" Zack flashed his award winning smile and then did a few squats for good luck before getting ready to leave, he held the door open for cloud before bidding farewell as he entered the showers, Zack had one in his own room as soldiers were better paid than guard, it was unfortunate but it meant he got harder work because of the higher pay grade

"Yea that sounds good to me..." waves bye before he heads into the showers. He didn't have one in his room since he didn't get much pay for where he was. That's why he wanted to hopefully get promoted. But he would have to work hard so he could get something better than a guard. Cloud strips out of his work out clothes and gets into the showers taking one hot one. After 30 minutes he turns off the shower and wraps a towel around himself before he heads to the locker room to get change in clean clothes.
