Ithil was surprised as he ran alongside the other elf with ease. He wasn't very strong, but he was fast and could run for miles without tiring. He stopped as Arsenio did, wondering at first why they'd been running until the explanation was given. He was surprised. "You mean you didn't want me to be captured by your guards?" He took a moment to blink. "But I thought you were going to turn me in to your father." He wondered why he'd been saved. He hadn't done anything to deserve this, but he was grateful.

Arsenio looked up at Ithil with tired eyes. Should he really let on that he cared a little for the boy. It was completely opposite of his nature, but something about Ithil made Arsenio feel like a fatherly figure to him, it almost made him retch. "So that they could torture you for answers about your kingdom?" He wiped the sweat off of his brow with his sleeve. He thought carefully about his next few words. He wanted to make sure that Ithil didn't suddenly see him as soft hearted. "I...wouldn't have gained much from it." He averted his eyes. That was a bit cold of you. Arsenio assumed he would understand in some way. He began unpacking things and placing them so that the area looked like a make-shift living room. He sighed and looked back at Ithil. "Fine. I care a little about you. But that doesn't change the way I feel about the rest of your kind." Much better. Once settled down, he went to go and clean his arrows.

Ithil frowned at first, his lip twitching slightly. "Oh...." He said softly, wondering what kind of horrible torture he might have undergone. He didn't even know anything valuable about his kingdom just for reasons like this. The king would rather lose one son than to lose the whole kingdom. He smiled a little at the other elf's next answer. "You care about me?" He placed a hand on Arsenio's arm. "It's ok, I don't like your people too much either, but you're different for some reason...you're not cruel like the rest."

Arsenio flinched at Ithil's hand on his arm. At any other situation, he would have elbowed the elf with great force. Instead, he began to feel flustered and his cheeks began to turn a light pink. What is wrong with you?! He wanted to look at Ithil but his stained cheeks wouldn't do him justice, so he kept looking away from him. "You're...you're not as I expected you to be." He responded, "Youre...different, too." He sighed and untensed his shoulders. He was not used to being touched by a male, gently especially. For some reason, it didnt make him afraid, like when his father touched him to scold him. He didnt brush the other elf's hand away; it comforted him in some strange way. He took a quick glance at Ithil and looked away. He didnt know what else to do. Without looking back at the elf, he slowly lifted his shaking hand and ever so gently on the other's arm, like Ithil did. After a few moments, he relaxed his hand. He didnt know what he would accomplish from doing this, but he felt that it was the right thing to do. "I like different."

Ithil stared at Arsenio for a few moments, noting the red on his cheeks though it was hard to see him as he was looking away. He himself could feel his own cheeks heating up and turning red. He wasn't sure why he felt so shy suddenly. He'd never felt this way around anyone else, much less a man, and he wasn't quite sure what he should do. "You like different?" He smiled. "I do too honestly." He looked at the hand on his arm with a smile.

Arsenio finally managed to look at Ithil, which made his cheeks go down to their normal complexion. He managed to break his lips into a small curve. He then looked up at the sky, the sun almost reaching it's peak. "We should...get something to eat." He said before standing up and getting his bow with quiver. He looked down at the fragile boy and let out a sigh. He guessed that he couldn't hunt if he couldn't cook. "Get your knife or something. Just in case. We're getting breakfast." He turned on his heels and began walking out of their safe haven, not taking much time to wait for Ithil.

Ithil nodded. "Breakfast would be nice he agreed and ran after Arsenio. He didn't have as much trouble catching up since he had speed. He had his knife in its sheath, his hand laying on it in case he needed to pull it out quickly. "You don't think we'll have trouble do you?" He whispered nervously. He didn't much like the idea of them being attacked out here. He could run, but he'd never be able to hold his own in combat with another elf. He and his weapon alike were too weak and unskilled.

Arsenio heard Ithil trailing behind him; not from his voice but his elephant-sounding footsteps that crashed on the forest floor as he ran after the other elf. He huffed and looked back at Ithil. "If you keep stomping around like that, our trouble will be lack of food." He went on the tips of his toes to demonstrate and crept on, hoping that the other elf would follow his example. After treading on the forest floor for a while, Arsenio came across a deer just ten feet from him, so he made a motion to Ithil for him to stop.
He slowly took his bow and notched an arrow. His mentor's words echoed in his mind: Look for the shine in his eyes. The fear. Listen to the panic in his heart beat. Let it know that it has no other choice but to die. Be merciless. Like a machine, the arrow was released and hit the deer in the chest. It ran a short distance before slowing and hitting the ground with a thud. Arsenio ran to the prize and loosed the arrow out of the animal. He took out his pocket knife and began cutting off the unneccessaries: the tail, the hooves, and the head were quickly cut off and discarded them to the side. He didnt have to look to see that Ithil wasn't used to this kind of sight. He chuckled and looked up at the surprised boy. "Scared yet?"
