"Come on then" Davir stated starting to walk away, if the other boy would need his help then he would help him, but, not unless something was said or shown that he needed it. He knew he was quite capable of doing things on his own, he wasn't about to diminish that thought either. Walking up to the door Davir began to speak "Three woman lived here before, it was said they were burned at the stake for being witches back then, but, you know how people are. If you don't like their favorite animal or do something they wanted you to do, you were branded with being a witch" Davir said a bit oddly then switched back to telling the story.
"They had wanted to be left alone in peace to celebrate or worship nature itself until one day the townspeople lit their house on fire in fear of what would happen if they lived. A guy named Christopher Wolf was the priest back then, a twisted, and dark one who wanted nothing, but, control. Christopher wanted people to think he was god or god's chosen disciple and kept that for as long as he could. One of the three woman overheard him talking to himself, as if he was talking to no one, or a demon. Running back to her sisters, the other two woman, she explained so they tried to tell the town, and even to get rid of him. The town killed the woman after the third attempt to burn the house down. They say you can still hear their screams as they were burned alive, Christopher later died of an unknown reason, but, the three woman or witches if you prefer it, refuse to rest until they take him down to hell with or without them" Davir took a short breath adding
"So anyone who walks into this house, no matter their intention, could die right on the spot like the witches" he added that a bit to try and scare the other boy, but, what he didn't know was this house was way more important to him than anyone else. Opening the door as they walked into the foyer of the large house, it wasn't a mansion, just a big double story house; he went to reach for a light switch and felt nothing, but, cobwebs. "Ah, crap. Forgot the flashlight" it didn't help he started to feel like Gage right now without being able to see. "Hang on" closing his eyes for a mere moment, Davir reopened them as his eyes were as light as ever, and now with how bad of a shape the house was in, he was glad he got his hair cut.

Gage stood back for a few seconds trying to listen to the sounds. He heard the wind clicking bare branches together and it seemed the house itself was also speaking, just mild creaks. It must have been a very old house then, probably made entirely of wood from the way he imagined it was swaying with the wind. "You sound very knowledgeable about this. Did you read it in a book?" he asked.
He tapped his bracelet against his belt a few times. The house was about the size of his own. Finally, Gage followed after Davir toward what he expected was the door to the house. Once he'd navigated his way inside, he picked up the conversation again as if he hadn't paused for a minute. "But seriously, what's up with a story like that? Seems if the story was supposed to be scary, it could be a bit more....although it's interesting. It's a wonder it keeps people away though." He wanted to come here as a bat. It seemed better than a cave or the underside of a bridge. He was more worried about loose floor boards than witches.
Without thinking about it, he reached around until he caught hold of Davir's...sleeve? Well, it was fabric and at arm height. "If you forgot a light, we better stick close then."

"Uh guess you can say something like that. We have this book in our house that explains about our family history. Somehow it was just mixed in with it, I was told it has nothing to do with our family though" Davir spoke honestly, yet he was still drawn to the house, probably to understand why it was passed down and placed in his attic. He cleared out everything in order to make his room.
Davir looked around, the magic within him lit some part of the way making it so he could see even just a little bit of the objects outlines. It helped in order not to walk into anything; Davir glanced down "Works for me" he said liking the fact someone was close to him, he always had his sisters and family, but, they never acted like Gage did. It intrigued him to learn more about the boy "Would you mind me asking if you were born with blindness or did something occur? You don't have to tell me though" he said quickly at the end as if putting his hands up in defense walking forward.
Something below them made a sound as a creaking noise from the old wooden floor boards could be heard. A crackling sound then followed by the wind outside picking up grabbing his attention, and then Davir realized. "The New Moon" he stated feeling a bit worried with Gage next to him, why did he (Davir) pick this night of all nights to come here, "The night of the new moon was when they were burned, oh great, I chose a WONDERFUL night to come here, didn't I?" he blamed himself because this was the night everything began to happen to those who entered.
Davir then looked down at his feet as the floor gave out before he could react making them fall hitting the hard ground and whatever else they laid upon. Davir in the middle of falling had reached out keeping Gage on top of him so when they fell the other wouldn't be hurt as bad as him. Laying there unmoved, he stared at the giant hole above them and thought how lucky they were. The fall knocked the wind out of him, but, at least he knew Gage wasn't hurt.
He refused to let the boy be hurt like the others he tried to befriend while going on adventures. Taking a deep breath he asked "You okay?" he hated to see others hurt and he would change with whatever power or strength he would have. Dust covered both of them as the broken wood was strayed around and under them both, they were laying on some sort of table, but, Davir didn't want to know which table this was. They were in complete darkness now, Davir was in no way to use his magic after that fall, and he had to be ready to save it in case there was any other trouble.
Within the heart of the house, somewhere, somehow, another being or beings were about the place. Creating the havoc to bestow on others knowing they had guests within their home. The basement wasn't touched with the burnt marks nor any bad smells, just a sweet...lavender scent mixed with Chamomile "Lavender? Chamomile?" he whispered to himself thinking about why those scents were so fresh and combined. The spaces between the wood floors should have leaked out within a few hundred years so there shouldn't be a scent. Who was down here keeping it warm and smelling nice? Now that was something that scared him, the unknown, not even death could scare Davir away.

Gage tapped his bracelet fairly continuously in order to see the outlines of things, only pausing in order to listen to Davir's question. His echoes were coming back muffled by the wind anyway. He couldn't help but think that the walls were trying to eat his noise in order to keep him blind, but the thought was to paranoid to entertain for long.
"I don't mind you asking. I was born blind. Probably, I should have been like most people who are 'blind' and still have some sight. Even bats have some sight, you know. But the nerves to my eyes are just screwed up so I guess that's my own special," he explained with ease as he'd explained so many facts about himself and blindness and disproved enough old wives tales to last a lifetime. He figured his full blindness was a bit like the fact the Maria had white fur, which he'd been told was very unusual for deer. The way his family's magic worked never did quite make sense. He paused, thinking about the new moon. "Wait, you sound a bit paranoid now-"
Gage didn't get a chance to say any more though because suddenly the ground beneath his feet was no longer there. He hadn't realized that he was relying on his senses only without echolocation and he thought he must have found a staircase to fall down. But then he realized that he wasn't the only one crying out in surprise and hands had grabbed hold of him. The frightened instinct that made the bat try to force its way out of him had to be squashed. He hit the ground with a thud and rolled onto his back. "What just happened? Davir?" he called out as he searched with his hand until he'd bumped against the other boy. Good, he was still there. "I'm fine. You?"
After sitting up, Gage froze a second before turning his head this way and that. He would have looked very much like a cat trying to locate a tiny insect that the human couldn't see. He heard nothing now and that was strange enough. The smells though, they were very particular. "No...it's not just the sweet smell," he muttered to himself as he rubbed at his forehead. His brows were furrowed and he felt light headed for a second. "There's that smell as well..." He didn't bother to define the smell because it was something only he with his developed sense of smell ever seemed able to pick up. A bit like pumpkin spice, but still it's own thing. It was a scent he had come to associate with magic happens. He could smell it in the brief moment between human and bat form or in the recesses of his home and at moments, he thought he could smell it on Davir. Now he smelled it stronger than ever.

"Ow..could have used a softer landing" Davir said rubbing his head sitting up to stand while helping Gage up to his feet keeping him close to him. "Gage, do me a favor, don't leave my sight" whether or not he meant that literally, Davir didn't want Gage to walk off without him. Davir looked around "Can't..see..." he closed his eyes using the magic within his eyes to see around him "Luckily I can still see" Davir stated taking Gage's hand "Come on, let's find out who is down here, it's too warm for it to be normal" Davir tried to figure out where it was coming from.

Sighing softly, Gage let himself be pulled to his feet. He stuck close to the warmth he could feel coming off of Davir as much for his own benefit as because of the request. "How can I know if I'm in your sight if I don't know where that is?" he muttered. He still felt dizzy and the smells in the room were too strong. "Saying you can't see, then you can...you make no sense, Davir. Isn't it usually one or the other. Besides...why are you saying someone is here? I'm confused..." He didn't deny that he had a bad feeling about all of this, but if there was a reason for it, he decided it was a 'what' not a 'who'. He gripped Davir's hand tightly as he tapped his bracelet continuously. They must have been too far away from the walls though because he couldn't hear answer back.

"I don't know if you'll believe me, but, I can do magic. Since birth, for generations my family has been able to use magic since before any of us can remember. I used magic twice today in order to see in the dark, it's my only way to see at night when there isn't alot of light or until my eyes can adjust to it" Davir admitted "We get called so many bad names over what we are, so telling people isn't something we wish to do, and exposing ourselves could get us killed" so far Davir had only told one girl and Gage. The girl died a few months back before meeting Gage, so he was worried if Gage told anyone, they would hunt Gage as well. That was why he kept quiet about it, he felt responsible, and still did.
"Maybe this wasn't such a great idea" he said quietly and moved forward holding onto Gage making sure he was there. Leading him around he asked "Are you alright?" he didn't notice the smells himself, because magic was magic, he wasn't like Gage, so he had no idea what it was like for him to be down here. "Maybe we should go back upstairs and just go home?" he suggested, one way or another he would return to this place anyways. Probably the next night.

Davir was telling a very odd sort of joke. That's what Gage thought when all of a sudden the other decided to say he could use magic. Except, Gage knew that magic did exist. "Do you really use magic? Well..." He was so caught up in deciding if he believed the other boy or not that he found himself being pulled along as Davir started walking.
"Wait, hold on! Stop walking for a second," he said, pulling Davir back toward him. "We'll see if you're really a magic user or not." Without further explanation, he grasped Davir so that he could pull him even closer, one of Gage's hands in his shirt and the other in Davir's hair. He sniffed deeply, then dropped his head on the other boy's shoulder as the strong scent overwhelmed him. "Yep...I was right about it. The smell of magic. Ah, like pumpkin spice....such a nice smell..." A smile drifted over his face. Only after a second passed did Gage pull back nervously. That was probably not the most normal thing to do.
"Er...ignore that. You're the one that wanted to go on an adventure, so we should keep going. I'm not scared of this place." Much.

Davir stopped for a moment as things got awkward and his face turned slightly red from being so close without him expecting it. "Uh...let's not do that again" he glanced to the side "Pumpkin Spice?" he asked wondering what that smelled like, he only liked a couple scents, and his main favorite was lavender.
"You know what, I think that scare was enough for one night, let's just call it a night" even though they just arrived there, he had a feeling it might not be a good thing if someone or something down there caught them, and right now he needed more practice before going up against someone. "Come on" he led him back to the hole they fell out of and pulled him close to him by the waist "You wanted to know if I could use magic right? Well this is a sure proof way to show you" Davir smiled looking down at Gage.

Gage started to feel embarrassed when he heard what he could only interpret as displeasure in Davir's voice. Next time, he needed to think before he acted like that. It seemed pretty obvious to Gage that he didn't socialize nearly enough; he always forgot that other people didn't order their universe in the same way he did. "Are you sure? We haven't even been here that long," he asked just to make sure. He was pretty sure they were walking back to where they had fallen from.
When Davir pulled him close, Gage only stared forward in surprise. "What are you planning?" This just seemed a little strange considering Gage thought he didn't want them to get weirdly close like that. "I already got my proof though, since magic has a certain smell. I think so anyway. My house can smell like that a lot." A simple hint that he had magic as well, though Gage didn't feel like explaining unless he was asked.

Davir let the magic around them flow as they were lifted off of the ground and slowly back up to the next floor where he could move them to the side still not letting go of Gage. "Well, we still have a couple hours before heading back, anything you want to do?" Davir moved them farther away from the hole, there was a small sound that Davir couldn't hear at a high frequency that only few could hear. Sounded like a simple melody sound.

Gage felt the ground no longer under his feet once again, but it was difficult to say what was actually happening. The pull on his clothes said they were moving up, so he guessed they were back on the first floor when his feet touched down again. He didn't show any surprise in his body language. "Rather than proving you have magic, I just feel that I'm in a different spot without knowing what happened to get me here," he said with a roll of his eyes as he stepped away from Davir. He tilted his head, listening. "We can do whatever you want, but could you stop that melody. It's a bit irritating," he said. He could only just barely hear the sound and that was bothering him.

Davir backed off then tilted his head "What melody? I don't hear anything" Davir couldn't and even if he tried using magic it would just fail anyways. "And I levitated us up, but, I guess you wouldn't know that without having vision to believe it" he mumbled that sentence "Come on" he sighed "Let's just get going, if we get away from this house, then whatever you are hearing will probably end" there was nothing in the stories about melodies so he hadn't any idea about it or where it would be coming from. Soon the melody picked up pace then slowed down again. Almost as if it was it was a calling melody to lure others in. or away.

"Really? That's not you, Davir? I wonder what's making that sound then..." Completely disregarding what Davir said, Gage started walking off toward the sound. He paused after a few steps to listen again. The melody came in waves with lulls between that captured his attention even more than the times when the pace picked up. He was starting to realize that there was an intricacy to the simple melody. "I don't want to leave just yet." He started walking again without the use of echolocation, only keeping his hands out to meet any walls. He felt like the melody would make a good guide.

Davir shook his head, it wasn't him right now, and why would he make a noise like that anyways. Davir sighed "What is going on?" he asked himself not needing an answer knowing this couldn't be good. Trying to follow Gage, he kept up with him wandering in the shadows, it wasn't even midnight yet. Something felt strange, then Davir disappeared from sight; the melody pulled Gage further to some kind of large room that looked like an indoor garden or green house.

Although Davir didn't say much, Gage was aware that he was following. The fact made him feel better and he was glad the other was near, though Gage would have followed the melody regardless of if he was alone or not. "Just let me figure this out and we can...go...?" he paused in the middle of talking as he realized the footsteps that had been behind him were no longer there. "Davir? Are you still there?" Maybe he gave up and went back? This fact didn't quite seem to add up though. Davir was the one who had wanted Gage to stick close. Gage didn't have time to dwell on this though. He realized he was in front of a door way, the door already pushed open. A fresh smell greeting him as well as the melody which was now much louder.
He walked into the room, one hand following the door frame to the wall which he stayed by. "Is someone singing in here?"

A beautiful, long, red hair girl with emerald eyes matching the fresh leaves of nature that filled the entire room with exotic and beautiful plants sat over by a large fountain like area. The singing stopped as she heard him speak "Why hello there, I'm not used to visitors in here, who are you?" she asked not giving her name and realized she was a bit rude "I am Rosella, I'm one of the sisters who own, and live in this house" she would sound cute and innocent or at least nice considering her voice matched her kindness and looks.

Gage took a deep breath of the air in the room. He could smell equal parts magic, and plants, but the floral smells were ones he did not recognize. Was he still inside? It felt like it. The singing stopped and he turned his head toward the sound of a beautiful voice. "Rosella? I'm Gage....but isn't this house supposed to be deserted? Unless...you're not one of the sisters from the story are you?" he asked skeptically. Despite living in a world of magic, he tended to be very practical about most things. He always had the impression that magic was a rare gift in this world, but he had met so little of the world to be sure. Right now he really wished Davir was here so he could tell Gage what he saw.

"From those silly stories people tell through out years, why yes, yes I am. I am the youngest sister of the three of us" Rosella smiled looking curiously "So how did you get inside? It's supposed to be blocked with magic to scare others off and keep them out" she asked as she sat there adding "You can come inside to sit down if you wish" something in her voice was luring. Each sister was different and Davir never was able to tell the whole story. He didn't believe the sisters were still there let alone moving around alive and all.

The woman's voice was oddly soothing even though he often preferred a deeper sort of voice. He meant to stay standing by the wall where he could know where he was, but when she invited him to sit down, he walked toward the voice and found a place to sit down. "I'm not saying that I disbelieve in the possibility of you being who you say you are, but I think it's just as possible that you're some bored teenager or homeless squatter trying to make fun of me," he said. He didn't know if this situation should be trusted, so he stayed tense and on alert just in case. "I don't know what magic you're talking about. We just walked inside."

"Hm...interesting, maybe our skills are getting a bit rusty...or we have a hunter in our presence. You hear that sisters dears?" she asked calling up above her "We did Rosella, we're in the middle of...talking to him" one of them laughed a little bit almost in a scary way. "We are the three sisters that burned a hundred years or so...i forget how long ago, it's been at least two centuries if I'm correct. Anyways, I don't care to tell the details, but, each of us have returned once again, and no we are not children like the two of you we found in our house" Rosella spoke "You would have been better to stay home little one" Rosella added until a loud thump was heard and she looked up only to see a tree falling down towards her and Gage "Gage!" Davir said falling with the tree as Rosella moved out of the way quickly jumping to move them both out of the way. Laying on the ground by the side seeing he caught him, Davir didn't take a breath to sigh "Let's go!" he quickly got them both up keeping Gage's hand in his and ran for the exit door, but, Isella the middle sister stood blocking their way "Don't even" she said, you could tell she was the darkest of the three sisters. "Tesella, you ready?" Isella asked her oldest sister.

Gage's brows furrowed in surprise and confusion when the woman mentioned hunters. With each word, he was growing more suspicious. "Wait, you're talking to him? Hunter...?" All Gage wanted to know was where Davir was so he could feel less exposed and in danger. But still, he stayed seated and calm for a few seconds more. Only when a whooshing, cracking sort of sound roared out near him, coming nearer, did all sense of calmness leave him. He was only partway to his feet when someone pulled him out of the way of whatever was coming toward him.
"Davir?!" he exclaimed as he stumbled toward the sound of the familiar voice. The smell of magic in the room was quickly growing to a too intense level and he didn't know what was going on. He was glad when he felt the other boy's hand take hold of his and held on tightly. "You didn't say the witches were still alive!!" he snapped. Anger only came out because he was afraid.
"Leave us alone! We didn't mean any trouble," he cried out toward a new, darker voice as he pulled himself closer to Davir in a stance that was both protective and seeking comfort from the other.

"Hell like I knew!" Davir exclaimed saying "I wouldn't have brought you along if I knew that" Davir stood in front of Gage protecting him as the girls laughed "ooh look at this sisters, people must have grown more stupid over the years. I mean who would believe a rumor their own family would tell them and still go to the one place which is forbidden in their family" Rosella laughed, her voice still sweet as they introduced themselves. "I am Rosella, the loving sister with the beautiful voice to capture anyone I wish or anything" she loved the idea of not knowing the possibilities of her voice and powers.
"I am the baby of the family" she beamed as Isella said "Yea, by one minute compared to the rest of us. I am Isella, the oldest sister, the smartest one and the one who can make your fears come to life" she seemed too happy about that. "My name is Tesella, the middle child, also the necromancer and controller of shadows" Tesella said looking at Isella "Can I kill them now Isa?" she asked using a nickname for the oldest sister. Davir looked around "We have to get out of here" he told Gage in a low whisper adding "Stay close" in another whisper. "You think we would let a shadow hunter leave this house alive? Oh now that is a good one" Isella said as if it was a joke Davir just said.
Davir couldn't attack them, not without leaving Gage, and taking him with him would be hard. Davir kissed Gage on the cheek then looked at the sisters "I'm no ordinary shadow hunter, I was born a warlock, and raised as a hunter. I'm not that easy to beat" his eyes lit up with power again as he was in his own territory surrounded by nature as the earth shifted and everything seemed to go against the sister's flow of magic. Soon things moved too fast as Davir somehow was able to get them outside as the earth as well as all the plants grew around the house sealing them inside. Davir was overly tired right now and he had to at least get Gage home "Teleport Gage Home" his words bounded through a spell and the wind picked up swirling around Gage quickly "I'll be fine" he lied and the magic teleported Gage to his house in his own bedroom on his bed.
Davir moved to his bike quickly and took off luckily glad that spell would last for a few days and hopefully they wouldn't try to find him or Gage. Being a warlock meant he could kill, but, shouldn't. Not like a demon who wanted to kill most of the time. He had kept his patience and anger in check, he didn't need to lose it at all. He swayed and saw a person on the side of the road as the bike swerved with his body leaning to the left side and went crashing down. He didn't see who the person was, but, he wasn't alone, and now he was seemingly safe. Darkness covered his eyes as he slept.

It was with growing dread that Gage listened to the sister's introduce themselves. Three witches against just him and Davir. If it came to a fight, he didn't think it would go well. He stayed still and close to Davir, knowing his only skill in a fight were his fists. And even then, the hit rate was 50% at best. Plus, there seemed to be a lot going on. He clung tightly to Davir's arm with both of his hands as the surge of magic in the air increased. Noises, movement...and Davir called himself a shadow hunter. What was that supposed to mean?
Gage only had a moment to realize that they seemed to be outside before Davir said another spell and Gage found himself in a completely different place. Softness under him and what he at first thought was total silence. But then he realized it was just silent compared to seconds before, because he could hear wind filtering though a window and the familiar click of branches outside of it. He ran a hand along the soft surface until he came to the wooden posts at the end of the bed. Indeed, this was his own bed in his own room. Gage surged to his feet.
"Stupid Davir! Sending a person off like that! How am I supposed to believe that you'll be fine?!" he snapped. He was furious and worried and he hated that he couldn't do anything about it. He tossed things around in his room, searching though clothes and knocking things off the desk in an usual display of inefficiency. Finally he came up with his phone and scrolled down to the 6th number which should have been Davir's. Although he didn't expect an answer, he needed to do something. He dropped down to the floor, the phone falling to the ground without him waiting for it to finish ringing.
"I don't even remember the path to that place!" he ground aloud. Even if he tried to search for Davir to check if he was alright, it would be of no use.

Davir was asleep as he was being tended to by another person who decided to help him. He was running a fever as a cool rag was placed on his forehead, a small fire burned off on the side, and even if Davir wanted too he couldn't get up with as bad as he felt. Davir hadn't practiced enough with his magic to outlast three powerful witches. He just hoped that Gage was alright now and he could rest with that thought. He didn't have a choice, he was exhausted, and slept for hours on after waking up the first time only seeing the ceiling then passing out again.
An entire day passed as he slept until he felt better, luckily the one who helped Davir was a fellow hunter, though the two of them didn't speak in case anyone was listening in, and not to mention he seemed like such a quiet guy. The guy was named Morlock and since he knew he was going after the witches himself, he created a spell to give Davir more knowledge on magic. "Now teleport home" teleporting Davir back without another word, though Davir did say "Thank you" and was gone. He appeared in his room on his bed "Oh, I probably should check on Gage though" he yawned going back to sleep in his bed for another couple hours. Later the next day he got up at night and walked to the Graveyard sitting down behind a large tombstone calling up Gage waiting for him to answer.
