Athena had half been hoping he would free her put when he didn't she smiled " As you wish." she turned to the punch bowl...thing and took a cup full of the juice sipping it.

Yokou felt sick. He wanted to free her, but right then and there was the wrong place to do it. As of that moment, his ownership was the only protection she had against thieves. Please don't be angry at me, Athena. He thought sadly. You will be free soon.

Athena saw a little boy trying to reach the apples eyeing the owner of the stall nervously. With a sigh she took the apple and traded it for a small coin handing it to the boy. He smiled and ran off to a waiting girl who was even smaller then him. She turned shaking her head and headed back to her master.

Yokou watched the exchange carefully, and couldn't help but smile. Is there a technical way to free a slave, or do you just simply tell them...? He wondered, making his was close to her.

" Well that's all there really is to this fair...not much fun I know." Athena chuckled ' That's why I never stay long."

Yokou shrugged. "It's a reason to get out of the house for a while." He said optimistically. "Athena, may I speak to you in private?"

" Sure." Athena pulled him to a corner where it was quiet " What do you want master?" she asked glancing around then smiled at him.

Yokou took her hand, and smiled. "I want for you to stop calling me master. I want you to be free. Athena...please don't think this is just because what Lori said. I was planning to do this anyway. I am setting you free, Athena. You are no longer a slave." He said.

" What?" Athena blinked staring at him " Are you sure?" she said starting to look happy.

Yokou nodded. "I am completely sure. I want to make sure that no one ever forces you to do anything ever again. You're free now, Athena. You can do what you want. I'll still help you get to your parents, if you'd like."

" Thank you." Athena hugged him tightly " Thank you so much." she smiled at him " Can I still stay with you? I don't have any place to go."

Yokou blushed and awkwardly hugged her back. "You're welcome. And of course you can stay, as long as you need." He said.

" Thank you." Athena laughed and raced off to find Lori who jumped around with her laughing.

Left standing there, Yokou rubbed the back of his head with a small smile on his face. He wasn't sure what to do next.

They come back jabbering away Lori was holding green fabric in her hands as well as other bright colors " We'll have to change you wardrobe right away." Lori grinned at Yokou " As long as he can afford to keep to maids...I guess that's what we are." she chuckled. " I plan on staying and helping you adjust." " Thanks Lori you know I need the help." Athena sighed she had been a slave all her life being free would be weird.

Yokou smirked back. "I can afford it, but you don't have to work if you don't want to. You could simply be guests." He offered, realizing that he had never really wanted a slave, just company. Man, I'm pathetic...

" That would be to big of a leap for Athena." Lori shook her head " Got to ease her into the freedom." she squeezed Athena's hand " She can speak for herself." Athena grumbled " Sorry." Lori grinned apologetically " It's alright...I guess." Athena glanced at Yokou " Lori's right though I will still act like a slave...for a while it just comes naturally to me."

Yokou nodded. "Okay, whatever makes you feel comfortable." He said, smiling a little at their exchange.

" Thanks." Athena smiled " What do we do now?" she blinked " Have more fun or go home?" Lori shrugged

Yokou shrugged as well. "I don't really know what else there is to do here, so...we could go home. Or stay. Whichever you two want." He said.

" I would like to go home." Athena yawned " I'll meet you guys there later I meet a guy I want to talk to." Lori gave the cloth to Athena and hurried off " Meh." Athena chuckled.

Yokou smirked. "Shall we go, then? The carriage is right where we left it, not too far away." He said.

" She is such a flirt I swear every years its a different guy." Athena climbed into the carriage " Of course some of those guys have vanished or been sold to far away master." she grimaced " That's why you never fall in love with a slave."

Clearing his throat, Yokou nodded. "Yeah...right." He agreed, deciding to completely ignore the fact that he had basically made a love confession to her only minutes before. Less embarrassing that way.

" I'm not a slave anymore so I have more choices." Athena noticed his discomfort " Something wrong?" she wasn't wise in the ways of flirting so most things went over her head.
