Yokou smiled softly, absently running a hand through her hair. "Love you, too." He said.

A while later Athena woke and groaned feeling hot. "I don't feel good." she moaned.

Yokou helped her up. "What's wrong? Come on, let's get you inside..." He said, instantly worried.
|
Athena leaned on him groaning she pulled away and threw up "Ugh!" she fell against him. "Gross." she snuggled into his warmth. "Carry me?"
|
Getting more worried by the minute, Yokou patted her back while she threw up. When she asked, he picked her up gently and carried her inside. "I don't understand, you were fine just this morning...should we call for a doctor? What about Lori, would she know?"

"I don't know. Both if you can find her." Athena groaned.
|
Yokou nodded and settled Athena into a chair. Just in case, he gave her a bucket to throw up into. Then, after making sure that she would be okay, he set off to find both Lori and a doctor.

Lori was walking up the road humming a little when she spotted Yokou. "Whats wrong?"
|
Half-panicked, Yokou felt a slight relief when he saw Lori. "Lori, thank goodness. Something is wrong. Athena is sick, but it happened so suddenly. She was fine and then an hour later she was throwing up. I came to find you and a doctor to see what's wrong." He told her in a rush.

Lori hurried to the castle. "Get the doctor." she turned to watch where she was going.

Yokou nodded and headed back off down the road to get a doctor.
|
When he returned Lori appeared glaring at him "you son of a ****. I'll cut you." she snarled.
|
Yokou blinked rapidly. "um...what?" He asked. Behind him, the doctor looked rather frightened.
|
A knife he hadn't seen appeared in Lori's hand. "I said I'll cut you." she went towards him then stopped when Athena called her name. She hurried to the bedroom "coming love."

Yokou glanced at the doctor, who shrugged. They both walked into the bathroom. "Lori...Athena, what's going on?" He asked.

Athena was propped up on a princess amount of pillows a wet cloths on her forehead. She was pale and a little green but she smiled at him. "looks like are family is going to get bigger.''

Yokou's face visibly paled. He blacked out, and woke up a moment later on the floor, the doctor looking at him worriedly. I fainted? He sat up and moved closer to Athena. "A-are you sure? How can we tell? I mean...isn't it supposed to take longer to find out?" He asked.

Athena chuckled and shook her head "Lori seemed awfully sure." she glanced at the doctor "maybe a certain thing makes it faster."
|
It took Yokou a moment to catch on, but when he did he let out a breath like he had been punched in the stomach. "Oh. Oh...you might be right. You're probably right. But if that's the case, and finding out only took..." He turned, held up a hand, and the doctor's eyes glazed over. "If it's going so fast that you found out the next day, then how fast will the whole pregnancy go?"

"Who knows?" Athena shrugged "I'm not even sure let the doctor check me over just in case it's something else." she suggested frowning a little.

Yokou nodded. "Right, okay." He said, holding his hand up again. The doctor seemed to snap back into focus, and proceeded to check Athena as if nothing had happened.

Athena let the doctor examine her as Lori changed the wet cloth on her head. She was regaining a little color thanks to the tea Lori had made her.
|
Once the doctor had finished his examination, he took Yokou aside and talked to him for a bit, then left. Yokou came back into the bathroom and nodded. "It's confirmed. You're pregnant. The doctor prescribed a certain herb to help with morning sickness. Oh, God, what are we going to do? At this rate, the pregnancy shouldn't last more than a few months, if that. We can't have a doctor deliver the baby, they'll know something's wrong."

"I'll do it." Lori smiled at Athena. "I've delivered a few babies...this one will be interesting." Athena nodded and sighed. "Unless you don't want me to have the baby." Athena frowned at him.

Yokou looked surprised. "No, i want you to have it. That's what we agreed, after all. And...I'm kind of...really happy to be a father. I'm just worried about you, that's all." He knelt down and took her hand. "I can't wait to see our child, Athena. I promise I will be here for you every step of the way, no matter what."
