" Its not just men mistress's do it to." Lori shrugged " You just sort of expect everything form your master till you figure out how to tip toe around them." she dug into the breakfast famished.

Yokou just shook his head and started eating. Male or female, he found it repulsive that anyone would beat their servants.

" Lori have you seen the AHHH!" Athena screeched followed by a loud thud " Found it." " Athena!?" Lori hurried to find her.

Yokou jumped up and rushed to where Athena had yelled from. "Are you alright? You're not hurt, are you?" He asked, worried.

Athena looked up from were she laid on the floor " I'm all right I just tripped over the broom which is what I had been looking for." she grimaced " I'll clean up the mess I made master."

Yokou sighed, visibly relieved. "Oh, Athena...you had me worried. Please try to be more careful." He said. He didn't want her to have to clean up, but he wouldn't stop her if she wanted to.

Athena with Loris help got to her feet wincing " I think I twisted it." Lori bent to look " Don't feel swollen." she rose back to her feet " You go sit I'll clean." Athena protested " No buts." Lori pushed her towards Yokou " Go sit."

Yokou caught Athena gently and placed her arm over his shoulder so that he was supporting her. "Come, sit. I don't want you getting more hurt." He said.

" I can make it downstairs myself master." Athena headed for her room limping slightly.

Yokou sighed. "I only wish to help you, Athena. Would you prefer a cruel master?" He asked sadly.

" No master." Athena cringed away from him " Why do you help me? I am your slave not a maid not a friend just a slave bent on serving you."

"I help you because I want to be friends. You have been mistreated for so long that you can't believe I'm anything more than a master. But I bought you to get you out of that hell. I want you to be happy, Athena."

Athena stared at him for a while. She shook her head " You are the strangest master I have ever meet."

Yokou smiled. "I'll take that as a compliment. Thank you." He said.

" Well I you would like to help would you mind getting me a ice pack master?" Athena said with a soft smile.

"Not at all, I'll be right back." Yokou replied, going to get an ice pack for her.

Athena limped over to her bed sitting down with a flinch. " I twisted it good."
|
Within two minutes, Yokou was back with an ice pack. He knocked to let Athena know he was there, and walked in. "Here you go. I also got a wrap so that you can bind the ice pack to your ankle. That way you won't have to hold it on. Here, you should put it up." He said, taking a pillow and gently placing her injured foot on it.

Lori come in and helped her tie the ice pack " Aren't you glad I'm here?" she asked both of them with a smile. Athena felt a funny feeling race threw her at his touch.

Oblivious to Athena's internal confusion, Yokou smiled at her. "There. Now I want you to rest until we're sure it's better. Don't go trying to walk around, or you might injure it worse." He said.

" Alright master." Athena said relaxing against the bed it was comfortable.

Seeing that she was comfortable, Yokou nodded. "I will come back to check on you later." He said, and left the room.

Lori smiled and went off to clean bringing back a book so Athena could read. " So you don't get bored." Athena knew it wouldn't work and after about five minutes she went to get up wincing as her ankle moved. She tested her weight and hissed " Damn its swollen."

Yokou went back to the library and pulled out a few books to research breaks and sprains. He had more books on more subjects that one would think possible, but he had them nonetheless. After a few minutes, he felt restless and decided to go check on Athena. When he got to her room, he saw that she was standing. He cleared his throat. "Athena. Any particular reason you're standing, when I told you to stay in bed?" He asked wryly, though the concern in his eyes undermined it a little.

Athena jumped unbalanced she crashed to the floor " Ofh!" she grimaced " Sorry master I was just testing it." she looked like a child who had been caught with a cookie " I just can't stand lying around."
