In medieval times, many dragons lived on the planet. Some of them lived their whole lives in dragon form, others chose to live amongst humans, and shifted into a human form.

Each kind of dragon had a particular gemstone that held most of their power. If a human took it, the dragon's powers became limited. Whenever a human gave the gemstone back to the dragon, they would often grant that person a wish or a curse, depending on why the human took it.

Name: Evelyn C. Roberts.
Age: 17
Personality: If sarcasm was a person, it would be Evelyn. She is witty and quick thinking. She gets easily annoyed by people that lack common sense. She can control her temper pretty well though, even if she is annoyed. She acts very mature, at times that is. She will pull puppy dog eyes to get what she wants, and it usually works. She's also an avid reader, and loves anything rare, whether valuable or not. All in all, she's sweet, and has a very soft spot for kids.
History/Bio: Eve's father was always an intelligent man, and she always looked up to him. All her book smarts and love of old things come from him. Her mother also encouraged her to follow her dreams. So she did. At 16, she grabbed her belongings, stuffed them in a bag, and set out to discover new things. She has searched for fairies, changelings, and many more things in the last year, but hasn't found much. She heard a rumor that under an old temple, they found a strange glowing orb. It reminded her of an old story about a dragon her dad had told her about, so she went to investigate. People say it's cursed, so she plans on being the first to uncover it.

Tianlong (Jonathan)

Tianlong is a 250 year old dragon. In his dragon form he looks like a red Chinese dragon. In human form he has dark, orange eyes (which most people mistaken for brown); long, straight, dark brown hair which brushes his collar bones, and appears to be in his early 20s. His home is in Northern China, at a small temple that has been in his family for generations.

The only thing his age has taught him is patience and kindness. Even though he can transform into a menacing dragon, he still is surprised easily, especially when lost in thought.

Jonathan was walking along the row of farmer's stands, looking for all the ingredients on his list.

"Ok, got some rice, cabbage, soybeans..."

"FRESH FISH! GET SOME FRESH FISH!" The burly fisherman was practically yelling in his ear. Rather than complaining though, Jonathan simply turned and asked the man for some northern pike and silver carp.

His mind was on other things though, something felt different about today, and he couldn't shake the feeling that his parents would ultimately have something to do with it.

Evelyn was carefully looking at the map she was given by the shop merchant. It was said that there were dragons in a temple nearby. Dragons, and curses. Not that Eve believed in that sort of thing. If curses were real, she would have been cursed years ago for some of the things she had done. Searching forbidden castles. All of it excited her.

Anyway, it's wasn't too far from here. Whatever curse might be in this temple, it was going to need to get ready. The strange stories, all of it, how could she resist? So, with map in hand and a mind set for strange things, she set off.

After Jonathan's basket was filled, he set out to the temple. Before too long, he remembered one other thing to do, so he turned around to head to the florist, and ran into a young lady holding a map.

He was so surprised, the jumped and fell on his rump. Some of the vegetables and fruits fell out of his basket, but ignored them to check on the woman.

"Are you alright, Miss?"

Evelyn was surprised to find the man here. She figured it would be deserted. "I'm fine, are you okay?" She bent over to help pick up the fallen food. "I didn't mean to frighten you. I'm sorry." She stood back up. "I must be at the wrong place, I thought it would be abandoned." She looked at her map. She was normally good at reading them, how could she get it wrong?

Jonathan dusted himself off and stood, picking up the rest of the produce and putting back in his basket. "I'm fine, you just surprised me a little. Most of these roads are deserted. I had left town on my way back home, but forgot something and was headed back. Where are you headed to?"

"Well," Eva started, "I heard there was an old temple up here. I was just interested in looking at it. Am I heading on the right path?" She asked the stranger. Hopefully he could help her find her way. "I didn't think there would be anyone up here." She added.

"Sure, straight up the path is a temple. My great grand-parents manage it, so they'll give you the special tour if you tell them Jonathan sent you." He winked at the young lady. Well I better get going back into town, I guess I'll see you in a little while? He took two very slow steps back, waiting for the young woman's reply before leaving her.

Eve's shoulders dropped and she sighed. "Oh.. I must be at the wrong place then. I was looking for a more 'spooky, cursed, no-one-shall-enter temple." she replied. "But thank you anyway. I came this far, I might as well see it." She turned to continue the path. "See ya."

Jonathan continued on back to town, and headed straight to the florist.

Jonathan thought about what the young woman had mentioned about his family's temple being spooky, cursed, no-one-shall-enter temple. There technically is a basement that is kind of dingy and dark, but he wouldn't consider that too spooky. Then again, he's not exactly human, so there's not a whole lot that actually frightens him.

After he got a bouquet for his mother's birthday, he slowly started up the path back to the temple, making sure he gave the young woman plenty of time to get there before him.

Eve kept a pretty quick pace and reached the temple in no time at all. When she reached it, she had a little trouble remembering his name. "The guy..Jo....Jo...jo-something said that you'd give a special tour if I mentioned his name...oh! Jonathan. That was it."

After that was done with, she went around the temple pretty quick. Not much interested her since it wasn't abandoned with unseen treasures. The only thing of interest was the multiple dragon insignias around the temple.

"Lots of dragon things." she said, more to herself.
