Athena pulled him away from her " Yes what he says is true. Would we be here if it was not?"

Athena blinked at the large number " I know that look." Barthy laughed " Better save him." he said but didn't move. " Make it 60,000 and you have a deal." she said with a grin.

Athena counted the money humming softly " I can not believe you just sold the king." Barthy sighed Athena looked at him " It was a lot of money not to turn down." she grinned then sighed at the look on his face " Fine we'll save him." she grumbled rolling up her sleeves. " Or his demon could do it."

Athena threw her hands in the air " Fine." she walked back in grumbling softly letting her demon aura expand around her " Why do I have to save him again?" she asked Barthy who rolled his eyes.

Mordecai was tied up, in a warehouse. Annoyed was the kindest word for him right now.

Athena found him " Why should I save you?" she asked him.

"I'm the only reason you and your mom live." He said.

" Fine." Athena untied him " Come on then."

Mordecai put a coller on her. It kinda froze her. "You. Follow me."he said. The coller would force her to comply. It couldn't be destroyed by any magic, only the owner could remove it.

" Hey." Athena protested. begining forced to follow him scowling. " It's what you get." Barthy chuckled " It was worth it I can actually afford what I want know." she said with grin.

Mordecai took her coin-purse, and gave it to Xhast, who hid it in a different world.

Xhast walked over to Barthy, and pointed at them, whispering so they wouldn't hear. "Already act like an Old married couple..."

" hey that was for Lori." Athena scowled " Great know how am I going to pay for...Never mind." she crossed her arms "I'll think of something else."

"Should I ask?"he said.

" You could ask but I won't tell." Athena said looking away from him " I was so close." she fisted her hands.

"You know what? I'll ask anyway, what's the problem?" he asked.

" Nothing." Athena snapped. " Take this collar off and lets go back."

"No. "He looked at her, and pressed a button on the coller. "You. Tell me, now. "He said, knowing the coller would force her.

" I wanted the money so me and my mom could go on the run I hate being trapped as your pet mage." Athena said gritting her teeth. " Also Lori's exam is coming up and she doesn't have the money to get to the healing tower."

"One, I'm the only reason your family is alive, everyone else wanted you dead. You flee, and they will kill you without hesitation. Two, I'll pay for Lori to go to the healing tower. "he said.

" no Lori is my friend and she wouldn't except your money." Athena said " I don't care I would rather be killed then be trapped."

"What have I done to trap you? It's not like I've forced you to do anything, matter of fact I've given you much more then what you've needed. I've not tried to force you to marry me, like I did before, and It's not like I'm forcing you into servitude. "he said, tossing her, her bag of coins.

" But you gave me no other chose then to become your mage or marry you. Neither of these things settle well with a girl like me. I like being able to not look over my shoulder but instead of forgiving my mother and me in public or even letting Lori become the mage you said I had to." Athena was starting to cry.
