Blue lightning arced the moment she entered his room. His mother knocked and his father never entered. The blue vanished from the room as fast as it appeared, he didn't want to have to cast it. "Oh....." his voice dropped hard, he felt bad knowing someone didnt like his family and he started to blame himself. The shelves of his dim room were filled with books and jars containing alchemetic materials, he was meaning to get into that. How did she find me? the thought ran across his head. Mom probably just thought i made a friend, just brush it off. "Can you call next time? Not that I'm against your sudden appearance just..." He didn't have an excuse, no way could he claim he was busy. "Well the parents are leaving tonight. They said i could stay here and they'd front the bill... As long as i got a job that is." The last part was a stutter.

He moved out to the kitchen. There was a huge book on the table, along with numerous containers containing spices and roots. "This is for you Any. I want you to be able to eat well. Just follow the instructions and you can make anything. Especially for your cute guest" His mom chuckled softly to herself. Anwon barely let out a smile. "We will be back in 3 months to visit for a while. Please take care of yourself, this is really hard for us, especially since you want to stay. Dad will do his best to get you a nice job." His mom hugged him tightly, tighter then she ever had before. His father handed him a very large amount of money and began to talk to him like he was an adult. Something that hasn't been done in some time. He hugged his son and told him he loved Anwon. He helped with their bags into the car and watched them drive off, he stood there and watched for the car, wondering if they were gonna come back like it was some kind of weird joke

Ash nodded as Anwon responded to her words and followed him out to the kitchen. Staying politely in the background she then moved to look around trying not to look like she was listening in, when she truly was. When his parents finally left, she turned to him and looked him up and down. It would be a hard thing seeing one's parents leave at such an age, but at the same time, children usually left the nest around this age anyway. Clearing her throat to get his attention, she stepped towards him and placed a hand on his shoulder. Looking down at her watch, she sighed. She needed to get back to work soon. "Anwon, come to the diner with me. I need to make sure you are safe. As well as you need to think through things conserning that you are going to have to be more careful from now on." she said lightly and headed towards the door herself. Stopping as she thought about it, she turned back towards him. "Bring your magic cards. The gang will be playing soon." she said and when he grabbed his things, she took his hand and began leading him towards the cafe. Coming into the shop, she let go of his hand and smiled to him. Pulling up her hair again, she smiled and sighed. "Well I have to get back to work for another hour, you're welcome to eat, or head into the back and look at some books. Just stay here." she said lightly and moved to get back to work.

He sat at a table and stared out from his seat. The world seemed a little heavy to him, no support network. He wrote on a piece of paper his order for dinner and just left it on the table. pulling out his phone he scrolled threw the classified and help wanted section of his local newspaper, he secretly hoped the coffee shop was looking for help, he could learn just about anything he needed. But for now he had to survive on the cash his father had given to him, which if he wasn't careful that money could be gone extremely quick. A couple people he occasionally hung out with started texting him. Hey man the girlfriend said you could stay with us! Sorry dude, looks like im good to go. Parents said i could stay in our place. Its just gonna be weird without them ya know

Ash moved over to the table Anwon had been at and looked around not seeing him. Seeing his order though, she grabbed the paper and wrote it down and then headed to her other tables. Moving around as the two other tables and her replacement came she thanked the other waitress and grabbed her food and Anwon's. Placing it on the table she then began to search for him. Seeing the male she smiled softly. "Hey your food is ready, and I'm done with work so I will eat with you if that's alright." she said lightly and led him back to the table. Once back, she smiled at him and ate a bit. Feeling like she had to speak she looked up at him and sighed softly. "I'm sorry to bring all that information on you. But you have to know. If it helps you any I can ask to be your guard instead of the usual guys, so you know your guard. If you want that is..." she said lightly, trying to make the situation a bit lighter.

NIbbbling on his food he offered some to the beautiful lady in front of him. There was one of other person that offered to guard him but he didnt know what that all entitled so he just brushed it off. "I'm sorry. A guardian. You're going to have to explain that to me. LIke in detail" He said taking a bite of his chicken club sandwich. To him a guardian was someone who protected and provided for him, like a parent. They lived with you to keep intruders out, to help you when they could. The idea of this woman protecting him and possibly providing for him made him feel a little uneasy. The only prolonged exposer he had to a woman was Anwon's own mother.

Ash happily took a bite of his food that he offered and then moved to eat her own food. She was really enjoying the taste of her pesto pasta. Listening to him ask his question she thought about it and sighed. "Well practially live and provide for you. I will just basically be go where you go and try to give you as much privacy without leaving you out of sight for I need to keep you safe. As well as I think you should get a job here, to make things easier on everyone." she offered lightly and sighed. "I pray that it is nothing too serious and that you wont need to worry but until we are sure that you are clear of danger things are going to be a little bit tense." the girl explained softly. She only wondered whether he was questioning if she was really qualified to protect him.

Anwon at the sound of the owman stating she would be living with him if he said yes, he spat a bit of his drink out. Coffee on his vest. "Shit." he blotted at the liquid, at least it was his cheap vest. "Well i mean, i don't really have any experiance in defending myself...... We wouldn't be sharing a room would we?" He hid the nerviousness in his voice. "And in regards to me working here, i would perfectly okay with that. I can cook and serve?" He just said plainly. He begun to think how long it would take to move miss Ash in if she agreed to be his guardian, wouldnt take too long maybe a day or two. AS her was mulling it over in his head, a young blonde walked into the coffee shop and sat at the table across from him. The girl went to school with him and was more of the popular type. Elise he thought her name was

Handing Anwon a napkin as he spit out his coffee, she kept back a giggle. He was nervous, and it was cute. "NO we don't have to share a room, I will be able to tell if someone was in there with you." Ash said with reassurance and then thought about what strategies they would need. "Well we don't have to stay at your place all the time, since my place is closer to the cafe, so I think each of us getting essentials and putting them in each other's places is a good bet. Its best to keep both options open in case something does happen." she said logically. Thinking about his request to cook she shrugged her shoulders and took a drink of her water. "I will ask the cook and see if he will let you cook with him. He's very particular about who makes food with him. So we shall see, other wise we can always use another server, especially since many girls that work over the summer head back to college." she said lightly and then followed his gaze. Her eyes locking in on the blonde, whom she had seen here a few times before, she turned her attention back to Anwon. He was nervous, she could tell easily. "I will also need to teach you some self defence, as well as I will need to know what magic spells you have under your belt. It will help me weigh the possibilities of outcome in fights." she said lightly and brushed her hair behind her shoulder and sighed. "I also will want you to start studying magics." she added suddenly and met his eyes. "If they want you, you need to prove that you have knowledge and power that makes you a threat if for whatever reason I am taken out. You need to be able to know all you can, because they will come at you with everything they can if you become a priority. Knowledge is power." Ash added.

Anwon sighed. "I can study magic no problem and i have alchemtic ingrediants so im sure i could brew something helpful." He watched as Ash went to go help the girl. Worst case scenario the girl lives with me and itll be like having moom back in the house but this time i wont be related to her. He was pretty alright with this. Not really wanting to show off his magic due to the fact it was extremely flawed. When she comes back I'll agree. It wont be so bad having someone else in the house betweeen visits of my mom, whenever that happens. Like most teenagers. To break up spaces of time he looked at his phone. He thumbed threw a lot of his spells and realized nearly 80% of them were none lethal. Stuns and freezes were the common point. The occasional fire ball and lighting bolt of cliche magic proportions

Ash returned swiftly as she reminded the other servers that she wasn't on time anymore and then smiled as she sat infront of Anwon. "So the cook has agreed to interview you." she said lightly, and smiled. "If not then there is always a server job." she said lightly. Pulling out a packet of paper she slid it across the table with a pen. "This is the contract, that you agree to having us protect you. That in times of danger you do anything I tell you, and that you agree to me being with you to protect you at all times. Once we turn this in and you agree the agency will put a spell on you to keep track of you and alert me if any of your vitals spike or drop for any reason, as if I wouldn't notice, but its precautionary." Ash explained.

He thumbed threw the contract quickly taking note of how certain things we're worded. "Two things. A, I'd like to a copy of this so i can refer to it later. B. Shouldn't i get a weapon or something, I mean there has to be some situation in the future where you wont be accesswable. Like say we get seperated or multiple bad guys or something. Don't you have anything other than magic?" He just asked inquistivly. He never used anything aside from a pocket knife, and his magic wasn't at the snap of the fingers. He still had to do a full rotation and say the right words to do it. In all senses he was still a novice at magic, hell sometimes the spells didnt even go off correctly. He remembered the time he accidentally fried all the electrical sockets in his room because he casted an electric spell wrong

Smiling Ash watched as Anwon thumbed through the contract, it wasn't there to do anything but protect both parties. She knew because she helped write it. Raising an eyebrow at his last question, she sighed. "A copy is easy, I will print that for you after we are done eating. And yes, I use several weapons." she said and pulled her dagger from under her skirt with a swift movement and set it on the table. "I am always armed, since it is my duty. I also use swords and bow and arrow when the time calls. My magic is usually the source of my deffence and offense. If weapons are needed then I summon them." she explained lightly and then looked him over again. Well this was going to be interesting. It sounded like Anwon really needed to be taught on how to defend himself. "From what it sounds like, you need to be taught more magic and how to wield a weapon. If you wish to learn, and put the time in that is." she said and offered a smile.

"Weaponry is all i need to be taught. Magic is weird for me, siome incredibly easy spells to know i can't perform but yet some extremely difficult ones i can do with ease. It's kinda a case by case basis with my magic at this point." He unlocked his phone and took a napkin and wrote down a 5 digit password for her. "This is my book. I have to designate and prepare the spells i want ahead of time. Feel free to look threw it." He knew it wasn't anything fancy. But there we're a few strong spells. Why is are my spells so much dungeons and dragons He always found it funny how some of the names of his spells were like that of a game. Chain lightning, a few healing spells, he was a jack of all traits, just a bad jack. "and with the contract and moving into each others places i think we should do that tonight because if we wait longer its just going to get more complicated"

Ash looked at Anwon raising an eyebrow and shook her head. "I think you really need to work on magic too. Studying it really helps, even if its just the history and kinds." she said softly but she wasn't about to force something upon him. He was dealing with enough problems as it was right now. Internally sighing, she looked him over and shrugged. "We will have to test some different weapons to see what works best for you. And I agree, we will do that as soon as you are ready. We can either stay for magic or head out right now. Which ever is fine with me." the female said and brushed her hair out of her eyes. Looking to Anwon she the reached out and her name appeared on the contract sighed perfectly. "So whenever you are ready."

He mulled over his options he knew he didn't want to stay and play, he had too much to think about. Figuring home sounded really good right now. "id like to leave" anwon packed his things and took the documents and hailed a cab It was one of the nicer and more fragrant ones. He figured a gun or something of that sort would be a great weapon to carry due to conceal ability He gave the cab driver his address and the ride was short and the rain started to come down quick. "Damn. Here." anwon handed Ash his suit jacket. "This should at least keep you dry and warm."

Ash nodded agreeing with Anwon to leave. Now was not the night to stay and play games. Not when all of these things seemed to be new and dangerous. He wasn't aware of all the things around him, which she didn't expect. Being as old as she was, that came with years of practice. Sighing softly, she sat in the cab and watched the world go by. It reminded her of her trip across Africa. She had been chased by werewolves, who believed she was the cause of the draught and scarce food. It had all flown by rather fast, like the lights in the window of the cab. As the rain came down, she sighed again. Its not that she hated water, but it was certainly annoying, and very much a damper on her powers. Hearing Anwon, she accepted his jacket and put it on. Hurrying inside she shed the coat and turning into the nearest bathroom she hug it up on the shower rod. Walking back out she then smiled at Anwon as she followed him through the house. "Odd with your parents gone?"
