When it came to others though they weren't the nicest, intact she had seen them do some rather nasty things to people. But that was just life for her here. But than a odd thing happened when she was 10, her father disappeared. Whenever she asked the others where he went they didn't answer. __________________________________________________ __________

Name: Red
Age: 28
Occupation: Spy/Assassin
Skills: Hand to hand, sword, dagger, hacking, seduction, guns and a few other things
Bio: Unlike other sleeper cells she is a natural one. When Jades father went 'missing' she couldn't' handle the stuff after that. Gradually her personality split and Red came into being. Red is the exact opposite of Jade, she is loud, sexy at times, and tricky. What you see on her surface is never what is really going on under. She had done everything that Boss had asked of her, killed, stole, hacked, and seduced anyone he ever asked. There is only one thing that she cares about and that is Jade.

Name: Jasper Olen Mckinzy
Age: 34
Occupation:Handyman(Cover ofcourse....no one knows his true skill set.)
Skills: Special tactics, hand to hand combat, firearms, trained to kill, and easy on the eyes. True skill set is unknown. Was government trained in Espionage.

He spent countless years honing his skills. Even to his own kind he is considered deadly. He was trained by a secret organization outside the confounds of governments. Of their agents he was and still is the best. After his last mission he went off the grid. He calls a small island in the middle of nowhere home. Thanks to his training he has made a nice home for himself. Unlike most of his kind he has no interest in getting back into the game. He has found a purpose besides being a deadly weapon. Something that is more valuable to him than his own life.

She is a millionaire and owns the island. It's rumored her husband was a major crime Lord. Her knowledge of all things is scarey. She keeps tabs on every member and has "special" people that keep tabs on who pings what information on all people on the island. Don't think your getting on or near the island without her knowing.

Story: Maybell has as many secrets as Mrs. Loueann. The two seem to be rather close. Don't let her pleasant appearance fool you. She can out run most men on the island. She can still drop from her roof to the ground. Her skills are still as sharp as ever. No one messes with her. Everyone is afraid of her throwing skills.

Bo

Story: SweetPea is a master of Espionage. She can find out anything on everyone. She can also sell you anything. Don't let her sweet exterior fool you she is a fireball.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jasper woke early while the sky was still dark outside. Getting himself ready for the day. His morning routine was rather boring from what it use to be. There was no combat training here. There was no one shooting at him. Other than the occasional tail pipe of a truck. No fighting over a target. And no Bloody Rankings. He had never cared for the Rankings. His kind of people where already mentally unstable. Most said they where calm and contained. That however is never the case. The rankings made people like him into worse monsters than they already where. Here however he was free from all of that. He could just simply wake up and enjoy a good breakfast. Or in his case a good cup of Joe.
He had become rather found of his new life. It was the coffee though that he loved more than anything. Some mornings he wondered what he would do without it. The food was great and so where the people here. He smiled as he looked over at the shu zu pup still asleep. He chuckled knowing he would hear it from the men in town. No a shu zu was not a manly dog. But he couldn't tell the little pup that. Well in all honesty he had tried. He told the pup he didn't wont a owner like him. The pup refused to budge making Jasper his owner. Jasper couldn't help but smile thinking about the encounter with the pup. It was 2ft nothing if even that big. But it had guts like a big dog. He sat at his kitchen table for a while watching the little pup.
His eyes cut to the window as he heard the wind pick up. He rose to his feet walking over to the window. His eyes arched as he saw the storm brewing not far from the island. "Looks like a bad one today pup." He said as he put his cup of Joe down. He pulled out a camo dog jacket from a coffee can near the pup. All of his storage was empty coffee cans. He had them making a triangle . It covered the entire wall. He had the cans laid side ways simply nailed into place to ensure they wouldn't roll off one another. Some of the ladies in town didn't approve but they left him be. Each one told him that when he found the right girl she would make him get proper storage.
He gently picked up the pup slipping it into the jacket. He put the pup down long enough to slip on his own jacket. Before zipping it fully he put the pup in. He only zipped it up to the middle of his chest making sure the pup was secure and safe but not going to fall out. Of course he still used his arms holding the pup against himself for safe measure.
The pair made it to the truck safely. He quickly cracked his old pickup truck and headed out. Today he needed to get to Mrs. Loueann's. He knew her home couldn't stand another storm. He had been working on it and had just a few more repairs to do before it would be safe enough for her. She was a really sweet woman like most on the small island. It was her and Mrs. Maybell that bought the pup the clothing he had for him. He had thought the ladies where insane for buying clothing for a dog. But after sometime with the pup on the island he learned those ladies where pretty smart. He grinned as the pup tried to burry itself further inside of his jacket. "Oh you going to sleep in this morning? Well....You know Mrs.Loueann is going to have treats for you. You better be nice to her. You know she thinks your her other child. " He said to the pup as the pup open one eye. The pup did that to let him know he heard him. He just grinned as he drove on.
It wasn't long before they ended up at the large house. Truth was the house was the largest on the island. Mrs.Loueann was a millionaire believe it or not. However she didn't act like it in the slightest way. Her house always looked like it should be in a magazine cover but beyond that nothing. It was not made out of marble or anything fancy. She didn't have a TV or computer. Just like the rest of the island there was no telephones here either. Of course the island had basic electricity but even that wasn't the case some days. He pulled in and got out scanning her wood pile. He always came to her house every morning. She was like a mom to him of shorts. He wanted to make sure she didn't need more wood before he finished the repairs on the house. Seeing that the pile looked good he went inside.
He smiled as he barley made it into the door hearing hearing the sweet welcoming voice. "Is that my handsome Jasper? I knew you'd be over. How are my two handsome men doing?" He heard as he unzipped his jacket putting the pup on the floor. The pup woke up almost instantly as it jiggled. It's whole body moving hearing her voice. Jasper just laughed as the pup ran to the woman who appeared from the kitchen. "We are well." He said as he followed the pup giving her a hug. "You know I'd take care of you. You have always taken care of me. I am going to get out there. It looks like a bad storm is brewing just off the island. I should have everything done before it hits. " He said as he loved seeing her smile. "Don't work to hard. Me and the Pup will work on some food for all of us. " The woman said as she picked up the pup and headed into the kitchen.
Jasper couldn't help but laugh as he headed out the door. He spent most of the morning working on the roof. The other half fixing the siding on the house. He had to admit that this kind of work was better than his old kind. Though sometimes his hands missed the feel of a gun or squeezing a guy. But that work wasn't near as satisfying at this. He finished about noon and tried to hurry putting all the tools awake before the storm hit. He made it in just in time. He laughed as he saw the spread waiting for him. He took his seat along with pup who had his own chair at the table specially made for him as well as his own plate. The three bowed their head and closed their eyes. Mrs. Loueann said grace and then they ate happy to be inside and not outside.
Jade grumbled as she sipped her mountain drew out of her favorite coffee cup and stared at the screen before her. Normally she would be working with both hands and getting done with the hacking in only a couple of minutes, but working with one hand was hard. Sure she could set down her mountain drew but if she did that it would fall over in a second thanks to the rocking of the boat. It also didn't help that she absolutely hated boats and the ocean. In her opinion they were the enemy of all computers and technology.
Hey, hun, you almost done with figuring out those coordinates? Boss wanted to know where this Jasper guy is as soon as possible." She heard Becka ask and she turned to her. She was fairly young or at least looked like it. Normally people thought she was only 21 but Jade knew better. Becka had been basically her mother all her life, she couldn't' seven remember a time when she wasn't in her life so she was defiantly not 21. "I would have gotten then information faster if I was on land and back in my room where all the monitors and controls are, but I am getting there. I know he is close… I think." Jade said as she turned back to her computer and drank the rest of Mountain drew.
"You think, couldn't you be a little bit more specific? We need that information now, so go faster or else." She said, almost like there would be a consequence even though Jade knew there wouldn't be. Or at least she believed. After her father disappeared she wasn't sure about anything anymore half the time. Sure everyone was like her family, they had helped raise her and everything. Yet at times she couldn't' help but feel… something. Sighing, she gave a small nodded and then without a word Becka headed out of there.
Turning back to her screen, she started to type away as she brought up all the information she could on this Jasper guy. After researching him for a week she had learned just about everything except where he was. In fact it seemed that he hadn't been on the grid for quiet a while. So that meant he was somewhere that there wasn't technology. Just the thought gave her a shiver. How could anyone live without technology was beyond her. Reaching down, she went to take a sip of her mountain drew but found it empty. Looking around her, all the bottles of mountain drew were empty and laying around the room.
Sighing, she slowly slid out of her chair and headed out the door where instantly she was greeted by strong winds and rain. "This is why I prefer my room back home. No sun, no rain, no wind, no nature." She muttered as she marched her way down the deck towards the kitchen. Her bare feet making splashing sounds from the water on it. Yet, just as she was about to grab the door to the kitchen, she ship lurched to the side, which made her swing into the railing. Grabbing onto it, she looked around frantically to see that the waves were getting rough, very rough.
Looking back towards her room, she slowly started to inch her way there thanks to the railing. No mountain drew was worth her life. Yet as she got to her door the ship lurched to the side again but she was ready for it. Relaxing just slightly she moved to open the door just when she saw a wave crash over the deck. That was the last thing she remembered.
She felt something warm shinning on her and pain everywhere. Groaning softly, she opened her eyes and was greeted by the sun and then sickness caught her. Crouching over, she vomited up water, lots and lots of water. Once she was sure she had vomited not just the water but her mountain dew as well she laid back down. "This is why you don't take nerds and hackers on the ocean, they nearly die. Natures is our enemy." she muttered softly and just closed her eyes. She couldn't move even if she wanted too, everything just hurt and she had no energy.
Lady Chello 11-08-2014 10:27 PM
Jasper smiled as they finished their meal. He made sure he was the first to finish. His reasoning to ensure he got to wash the dishes. He just grinned as he watched Mrs. Loueann just stare at him. "Now you knew I was going to wash the dishes. " He said in a playing manner. He washed all the dishes including the ones she had cooked with. She was kinda enough to take care of him it was the least he could do. He smiled hearing her and the pup playing together. Once he finished he went into the living room and found the two playing.
"You need to come up with a name for him. Or do I have to do that too? I did a good name with yours didn't I?" He heard her say. He could only smile. You see there was something special about this island. Every person here had a past. And here everyone can restart. The island was under the radar. The locals called it Island Of The Lost. Each person here had their own skeletons in the closet. But you wouldn't find a more net community. It was Mrs.Loueann who had found him washed up on the shore. He was covered in bullet wounds. His body was covered in defensive wounds. He remember her taking care of him. And her first words to him. "Son, I know you aren't a normal citizen. Don't try and lie to me boy. I know a man with deadly skills when I see one. If you don't want to go back then stay here. I will come up with your cover story and everything. But you will have to give up on your old ways. " He also remembered when he was fully healed. Watching her take apart his different guns. She knew her way around a knife as well. He also learned she had connections that most politicians would want. Everything that was posted for anyone to find on him was completely made up by her. His files of his true name and identity completely vanished. There was no recorded of his true identity. He had kept a tab on it as well as Mrs. Louann. She is the one who got him the job as the local handyman and helped set up all of his money from his old life in secret accounts that could only be traced to her Jasper. Some how she had managed to get pictures of him in military uniform and had it in the house with her last name on it. As fair as anyone here knew and in the world. Jasper was her beloved son who came home from some tours of war.
It was strange looking at her. She was so kind and sweet. No one would ever believe she had a life of crime. She would never say what her secret was. But no one on the island messed with her. Everyone just said ,"Yes Ma'am." Not even the Koreans or the Japanese dared to challenge her. On this island she was the undeniable leader. That's right where Korean spays, and Japanese ones too. But here everyone was just a normal person. Though don't think they took kindly to strangers. Each person here would defend the others here to death. He was thinking when he heard her again. "Jasper stop zoning out on me. Don't make me get my ruler out. " He looked at her as he just laughed. "You know you would need something harder than that flimsily thing on me. " He said as he looked to the pup. "I'm not sure what to name him. I tried to give him away but the ladies said no he was mine. " Mrs.Loueann just smiled as she stared at the pup now asleep in her arms. " Well, how about Tank? " Jasper shifted his eyes to her as he tried not to fall over from laughter. "Are you kidding me? He is a little dog. That is the name you give...." He stopped as he saw the look she gave him. He closed his eyes and let out a sigh. "Yes ma'am. Tank it is." He said knowing that it was time to shut up. He looked outside as he saw some lighting. About that time he heard the thunder. Tank jumped up yelping shaking in fear. "Calm down Tank I've got you. " Mrs. Louann said as she petted Tank calming him down.
Jasper smiled as he turned looking at her. " I'll be back I need to go check on some of the others. You know Bo isn't to smart during these storm. I'm not having SweatPea after me for not looking after him. " He said as he walked over and kissed her forehead. He looked to the pup. " Stay here and keep her safe. Don't be so scared." He said as he headed out. He made sure he locked the door securely so it would fly open in the storm. He got in his truck and headed back down the road.
Jade wasn't sure how long she laid there and let the sun beat up on her white skin. All she knew was that she wasn't sure where she was and she didn't like that. Slowly she opened her eyes and groaned as she painfully sat up. ONce her eyes focused she saw she was on a beach and she was the only one on it. Quickly, she stuck her hands into her pocket and pulled out her phone, iPod, and small tablet she always kept on her. Frowning, she saw that all of them were drenched and that meant she would have to fix them later. She didn't' have any of her tools to fix anything, they were all back in her cozy little room back home.
Home sounded like such a treat right now. Where her fridge was stocked with every kind of mountain dew you could think of. The cupboards that are next to her computer and stocked with ramen and chips 24/7. But the best thing was that she could lock the doors and that there was no nature. All of that was paradise to her while being on a beach like this sucked. The sun burned her white skin, the ocean sent burned her nose, and the sand made her itchy. This was hell.
Sticking her gadgets away, she slowly got to her feet but nearly did a face plant. Laying on the ground, she spit on the sand that got into her mouth and proceeded to start crawling inland. "yes, boss, taking the shut in computer hacker is the best idea for this kind of mission. Yes taking her onto the ocean that is the bane of her existence is the best idea. Why on earth would she won't want to come." she grumbled to herself as she continued to crawl and smiled when she found a sturdy stick. Using the stick as a crutch she started to walk. The island looked like it was inhabited or at least she guessed it was since she found herself walking along a road of sorts hopefully that meant help.
She wasn't sure how long she had been walking but soon she saw something in the distance and she couldn't help but smile. Raising a hand, she waved frantically. Maybe they would have a phone or something. She would have to call boss to get her and then they could continue to look for that jasper person. Then she could go back to her room and just do as he asked. Hack into anything he wanted, heck she would even hack into the pentagon for him again if it meant that she could stay in her room and never come out again. Sure, at times it was lonely in there but after her dad died home didn't feel like home at times.
Once the car got close she started to scream, "HELP! I NEED A PHONE OR SOMETHING!"
Lady Chello 11-09-2014 01:43 AM
Jasper almost cursed as he saw a girl appear out of no where. He pulled over quickly. He turned the truck off as he jumped from the truck. " Calm down, lets get you in the truck and get you to some shelter. Get in so you can tell me what happen." He said knowing the girl wasn't from the island. He knew Mrs. Loueann would. He didn't ask he went over and picked her up. He placed his hand under her knees and the other on her back caring her wedding style to the truck. He braced her on the back half of his truck against it as he open the door. He quickly placed her in the seat. He clicked the seat belt in for her. He ran to the drivers side climbing in. " Alright now you said phone. From your looks you aren't from around here. I gather you don't like the outdoors with your pale skin. The only way here is boat so I assume you came here that way. Besides the fact your soak and wet. " He said as he shifted into gear speed off towards his house.
"First thing we don't have phones. We barely have electricity. I am going to take you to my house and get you warm. Then I promise I'll go look for the others with you. I promise I am not a creeper. I'm sorry for my house in advance. It isn't modern and I don't have any technology. " He said as he drove. He pulled up to his house. "I know it isn't the biggest but she'll do. He said as he turned the truck of.
Palmoun 11-09-2014 02:01 AM
Jade relaxed when she saw a man came out and knew that she was safe or at least as close to safe as she could get. She nodded when she heard him and was going to walk to the truck but instead he carried her. Blushing brightly she found he was warm and instantly loved it and forgot about him carrying her. Part of her wasn't even aware that he set her down till she felt the cold that replaced where he was. Frowning a bit, she found herself yawning just a bit and wondered if that nap on the beach wasn't enough.
"If you think boat is the only way your dead wrong, how about floating or semi drowning? Those are two other ways to get here I am guessing." she said softly and still tasted the sea in her mouth and hoped that he had something to drink at his home. Yet she completely woke up when she heard him as panic surged through her, "YOU DONT HAVE COMPUTERS!!!!" she screamed, "How and I going to call boss then? how am I going to get off here? HOW AM I GOING TO SURVIVE?!?!" she said as she buried her face into her hands. No computers was like someone stole her spine, she literally couldn't live or function without it.
She peeked though her hands when she saw his house and groaned. "Great, primitive dwellings." she muttered softly, "Don't you have anything? T.v? laptop? cell phone? Radio? I will even take a gps if you have it." She said as she looked at him desperately as she slowly slid out of the car and used it to prop herself up some. She wasn't as weak now that she had been shocked at the reality of being on hell it self, but still a little weak in the knees. "So mr. Creepy who are you, where am i, and where is the nearest Best Buy?" she asked as she looked at him.
Lady Chello 11-09-2014 02:26 AM
Jasper just laughed at her. "Oh come on it isn't that bad. " He said as he looked at her. "Stubborn type aren't you." He said as he watched her standing there. "Now don't go insulting my house your a guest here. It's rather rude of you." He said in a playful tone. He walked to the door and opened it for her. He then walked back to where she was. Without asking he picked her up again. He carried her into his house. He placed her down on a large leather sectional. " You sit there let me see what clothes I have. We need to get you warm and out of those wet clothes." He said as he headed off to his coffee can shelving in the kitchen. He open the very top can pulling out a pair of fleece pajama pants and shirt. They where his but they would have to work for now.
He walked back to where she was. " I have these. Don't laugh at them they where gifts." He said as he placed them beside her. "We need to get you a bath. I know the lighting is bad but let me pull some water from my storage and you can soak in there for a while. I will work on something to drink and eat for you. "I know it will be nothing that your use to. I'm sorry we don't have phones or any technology here. The storm is getting worse. Neither one of us can go out right now. But as soon as it lets up I'll be out to look for your friends." He said as he looked to her.
Palmoun 11-09-2014 02:39 AM
Jade glared at him, "Obviously you don't have things you can't live without." she said and just watched him go. Secretly she was glad that she still had all her things on her. Sure they were broken but if she worked on them she might be able to form a small piece of technology, maybe even a small laptop. She would just have to get some tools. As she thought about what she might need she was shocked out of her thoughts when he picked her up. Squirming, she tried to get out, "I can walk on my own." but all too soon he was already setting her down and she continued to glare at him.
She watched him as he headed out to find her clothing and even though she didn't say it she was grateful. Yet as she took a look around the room she knew that this was the kind of house she would avoid like the plegue. It was bare. There was hardly any lighting and she doubted that there was anything here that would make her happy. Maybe she could find someone who had a laptop here or even a t.v. Either would work. She just ahd to find something she could use to contact boss.
When he walked back in she looked at the clothing and ran a finer over the soft P.J.'s. Instantly she thought of her father, they were like the ones he use to wear when he was tucking her into bed. She remembered curling up next to him when she had a bad dream. Part of her wanted to pull them close to her and smell them but knew that even if she did they wouldn't' smell like him.
When she heard drink, she turned to him, "Do you have any mountain dew?" she asked, slightly hopeful but knew deep deep down that he wouldn't. The chances of him having mountain drew and no technology was about 0.00000002%. Though when he said friends she shook her head, "I am pretty sure I am the only one here. All the others will probably be fine and still on the boat because of their training. So don't even bother." she said softly and wondered if they were even looking for her. Sure she was important, she could hack into anything, she did everything they asked. She was vital to them. But then what about her dad? All that they did when he disappeared was move onto her, would they do the same to her? Gently she picked, up the fleece pajamas and held them to her for comfort, they didn't' smell like dad.
Lady Chello 11-09-2014 03:04 AM
Jasper watched her gathering more about her than she knew. She finally admitted there where others. "I tell you what you stick it out here in the boondocks with me for three days and I'll take you into town. There are a few people who have some electronics. But we don't have many. You have to understand that we can't due to where we are located. But if you can bare this Hell as you have put it I'll get you to some technology. Though books are honestly much better you should try it. Or maybe some sunlight and manual labor." He said playful of course. He just grinned knowing it would get her riled up.
He stood leaving her there as he mad his way to the bathroom. He plugged the bathtub. Then he heated the wood burning stove heating water over it in a pot. He filled the tube with it as he went. Once it was done he he walked back to where she was. "Hate me all you wont. I have to many women here to account to. If I don't take care of you they will kill me." He said meaning it literately. He reached down and picked her up again. He had pulled a chair near the tub for her. He placed her in the chair. "I put everything you would need right beside the tub there for you." He said as he turned leaving her there. He shut the door behind him. He had left her a goodie bag that Sweatpea had left over at his house. It had 24r different shampoos and conditioners. They where all designer brands. He also had bath bombs that Mrs.Loueann got him. He only had a thousand. He couldn't even guess all the different ones. He just put a hand full in the basket for her along with different lotions. Maybe that would make her feel some what better.
He went into the kitchen as he built up a fire in the wood burning stove he had in there. He pulled out his pans getting ready to cook. He looked in the fridge and pulled out his ingredients . He thought he would surprise her with some beef stew with corn muffins. He also made some surge cookies for her.
Palmoun 11-09-2014 03:30 AM
Jade smiled when she heard him and couldn't' help but nodded, "oh thank god that someone actually had something that runs on electricity here." she said happily, part of her forgetting about the others. "If you give me something, I will even take a beat up remote control I will be happy." she said and then shook her head, "I don't do labor, trust me you don't want me near anything that deals with lifting, pushing, pulling, or building." she said and then frowned a bit, "I haven't really touched many books, instead of books my dad gave me a old computer when I was little and told me to take it apart, rebuild it, and then learn everything bout it." she said simply.
She then watched as he left and found herself wallowing in her memories. Memories of her father and her life. It had always been around technology, like boss had told her father to make her a hacker when she was born. But that couldn't' be it. When she saw the man come back in, she was going to follow him but he picked her up again. Squirming again, she tried to get out of his arms, "I don't think you heard me before but I can WALK." she said but again she was in a chair soon after. She glared as he walked out of there and then looked at the warm inviting bath.
Quickly stripping herself down, she crawled into the bath and sighed in happiness. It was so warm and perfect. As she laid in there she thought back to boss, her father, and her life. Her life was pretty tame. They had given everything to her as long as she had done everything they asked. Actually, that was all she had ever done. All her life had been around that, she learned to hack to the point where she was the best. They had homed schooled her, they ahd taught her everything. The saddest thing was that she hardly knew anyone outside of boss, beck, and the others. For a split second she wondered if that was normal but then shook her head. Her life was normal, or at least as normal as she thought it was.
Looking at the shampoos and stuff, she wondered what half of the stuff he gave her was. Usually when she bathed they gave her a bar of soap and a bottle of shampoo. So she just chose a random stuff and washed. It smelled nice, nicer then the stuff they ahd given her at home and relaxed. After a little bit, she slowly got out of the bath once it was almost cold. Pulling on the Pj's she smiled and wrapped her arms around her. They were big but so warm. Perfect in her mind.
Slowly, she crept out of the bathroom and found that the place smelled great. She couldn't' remember the last time that she smelled food like this and slowly headed over towards where he was. He was over a stove and what ever he was cooking was making her stomach growl. "Hey, is the food almost done?" she asked as she looked at him and was staring at the food that was cooking. "and uh, what is your name anyways?" she asked, feeling a little bad about not asking before.
"You have to to learn some manners. People here don't take kindly to your kind. By that the lack of manners. You say, please, thank you,yes ma'am, No ma'am , yes sir, no sir. You know manners. Now you sit at the dinning room table. I will set the dishes and get you something to drink. I don't have mountain dew I'm afraid. " He said as he moved past her setting the table for both of them. He then went back to the stove pulling out milk pouring it into a pot and adding a Mexican chocolate brick. Once everything was done he plated the food and poured them each some hot chocolate.
"This hot chocolate has a hint of cinnamon in it. It makes it really nice in my opinion. There is more food in the pot. When you are done put the dishes in the sink and then head back to your couch. I will wash the dishes and then find you something to do so you wont be so board. Oh and desert is right after this." He said as he closed his eyes and bowed his head saying his prayer out loud. He then began to eat.
Jade frowned a little bit, manners were something that they didn't bother teaching her. THey said that since she wasn't around humans enough that manners weren't something she needed to know. "sorry, manners aren't something that know much about." she said softly, all she knew was the give and take. She gave them the information and they gave her what she wanted. It was easy and simple. It was normal or at least it was normal to her.
She was about to complain about the mountain drew thing but her attention was caught on the hot chocolate. She watched as if she was mesmerized by the way he worked. She couldn't remember the last time she actually watched someone cook or make something. Her dad use to. He would make her sundae's and soup and other things. But that was a long time ago. Part of her wondered if she could just watch him make the food and everything for a while.
When she heard him she moved to take her spot at the table and was about to dig in when she noticed him close his eyes. Frowning, wondered if she should do the same till she noticed him stop and start to eat. Forgetting about that, she quickly started to eat and found that only after a few minutes everything was gone. "thank you." she said softly as she leaned back in her chair. "and I am sorry for acting a little rude, Im just not good with people."
Lady Chello 11-09-2014 07:29 PM
Jasper looked up as he smiled at her. "It's ok your not use to people I see. Mrs. Loueann and Mrs.Maybell will teach you manners. They are good ladies and very nice. I'm sure they will find you some clothes. They will teach you about praying to. Just a word of advice rather you believe in what they preach or not. Just bow your head and close your eyes. Act like you do. So you want have the word beat into you. " He began eating again enjoying the food. I was well balanced.
His attention turned to the window. " I hope this ends soon. I need to pick up my Tank." He said as he thought about his pup. He missed his little friend. "I hope you like sugar cookies because that is what I made. I'll make a cake latter." He said as he picked up his corn muffin. He was amazed she didn't find something wrong with it. He could tell she was going to be in cultural shock for a while. He knew this was going to be hard for her. People didn't just leave this island. Mainly because it was almost imposable to. The weather around the island made it one of the most difficult places to get to. Most of the time storms went around the island. They had a hard time getting boats here and planes. But once in a while they managed to.
"When your better I'll have you wash and put them away. I'll also teach you have to chop some wood. If you are going to be here it will take sometime before you can get off the island. They stormy season is just starting. You wont do it alone so no sass please. I'll teach you how to do it but it will be your job. SweatPea is going to love you. I'll never get any work out of you once you two meet." He said knowing the two would be inseparable. " I have a spare bedroom that is yours. I'm sure once we can go into town you can find things to make it feel like home for you. " He said as he went back to his food done for talking at this point. He finished his meal and got up taking his dishes to the sink. He then brought out the cookies and placed them on the table. He sat back down looking out the window.
Jade nodded as she listened to him and pulled her feet up onto her chair. Wrapping her arms around them she just watched him a little bit. He was nice or at least nicer then Becka and Boss were. He wasn't asking much of her which was odd though. Usually someone asked her for something with what she was good at, not just labor. She hadn't done much labor besides picking up a few things, hopefully she could do what he was asking.
"I like cookies." she said, "and you have a tank?" she asked and wondered where he would keep one of those huge things on this island. They were big and dangerous. But Becka said that they were fun to drive and you were safe inside them. Why would he need one of those things on a island like this. This place looked peaceful, primitive but peaceful. This place reminded her of what people though the Garden of Eden would be like. There weren't guns, only a few people here by the sounds of it, and no fighting. All things that she wasn't use too.
"how long do you think I will be here? Boss needs me." she said as she looked at him and hoped that she could go home soon. She wanted her computers back. "and who is this SweatPea? and you still haven't told me your name." she said as she looked at him, hoping he would give her his name since she didn't want to just keep on thinking him as him or that nice guy. When he placed the cookies on the table she grabbed one and started to eat it slowly. "and why are you letting me stay here? I mean I am not exactly what you would call the perfect house guest." she said and looked at him suspiciously. Any time anyone was nice to her they wanted something, he had to be the same.
Lady Chello 11-09-2014 08:24 PM
"Just simmer down. You'll like Tank he'll be right up your ally. As for SweetPea she is one of the locals. I have a picture of her on my fireplace along with some of the others here. " He said as he took a few of the cookies. "I told you before. I would be beat to death if I didn't take you in. I am not telling Mrs. Loueann I just left you on the side of the road. I try and do the right thing. Leave you there differently wasn't the right thing to do. If I was going to kill you or do anything I already would have. Let's think about this. I have had you to myself for a good while now. If I was going to do something I would have. No enough with your suspicions. When the storm lets up I'll take you with me if you wont to meet at least Mrs. Loueann. The storm is almost over with it looks like so not much longer." He said as he got up from the table leaving her there. He began putting the leftovers in a bowl as he filled a basket with them.
He then began washing all the dishes leaving only hers. He didn't bother to speak with her anymore as he went through the house. He went to the spare bedroom as he gathered her a old robe of his placing it in there. He made sure she at least three different blankets. One was light, the other was medium, and the last one was heavy. That was she was happy. He pulled out two new pillows from the closet in the room and made the bed with soft cozy sheet. He placed the medium blanket onto making the bed for her. He flew through the house grabbing different things to put in her room for her. He pulled out different books for her. He placed them in her room on the desk he had in there.
He went to the bathroom and cleaned up after her. He washed her clothing and then hung it up to dry on pegs in the bathroom. He scrubbed the tube out so that he wouldn't have to later. Once he had everything done he looked out the kitchen window. "Looks like this one is going to be here a while." He said not happy about it. "Tank is never going to forgive me. I have to go get him." He said seeing some of the wind dying down. "I am going to go get Tank. You can come with me or stay here. It isn't the safest idea to go out now but I need to get him." He said as he picked up the basket he made.
Palmoun 11-09-2014 09:04 PM
Jade sighed as she listened to him and use contently munched on her cookie. He still wouldn't' give her his name and just sighed as she finished off her cookie and quieted down. "I don't think you will do anything to me I am just wondering why your expecting me to stay with you. I mean I though people don't like having strangers live with them." she said softly as she looked at him and then watched him get up and start to clean up.
She just stayed on her chair and didn't really move till he left. Slowly uncurling herself from her chair, she started to explore the house and sighed slightly. Still no electronics. She still couldn't understand why he would want her to live with him. She thought most would want her to find her own home. Anyways, she wasn't exactly useful if she didn't have electronics in her hands. Sighing, she made her way over to the couch and laid down. Curling up, she then watched as he went through the house picking up things and then heading into a room, her room.
Hearing him say about leaving and she thought for a second. Closing her eyes, she wondered what this Tank was like and then slowly sat up. 'I guess I will go. Maybe I will even find something that can occupy my time or something." she said as she got up and walked over to him, "So just say the word, Im ready to go." she said as she looked at him and wondered what her life would be like now that she was stuck here.
Lady Chello 11-09-2014 09:13 PM
Jasper went over to the door pulling down a rain coat for her. He handed it to her. "Then lets be off." He said. He grabbed the basket as he headed out the door. Running to the truck he quickly open it. Turning on the heat to make sure that both of them would be warm. His thoughts where on Tank. He knew that Tank would be rather upset with him about this. He promised to only be a little while. He knew the young pup had no concept of time. However the pup did understand half of the day was gone.
He put the truck into drive as soon as both where seat belted in. He drove down the road dodging branches. "My name is Jasper." He said calmly as he tried to get them safely to Mrs.Loueann. "Don't laugh I know it is not a common name. Mrs.Loueann is found of it and you can't tell your mom no to a name. Don't worry about her I'm sure she'll love meeting you." He said as they finally pulled up to the house. He unbuckled and rushed to help her out of the truck.
Palmoun 11-09-2014 09:59 PM
Jade took the coat from him and pulled it on. Happy for the cover and then nodded. Running out the door after him, she hopped into the car and buckled herself in. Looking out the window as he drove, she wondered when was the last time she had been out in the rain. She was pretty sure it was years. After her dad disappeared she locked herself in that room but she couldn't' remember exactly why. What ever the reason, she had stayed in that room till a couple of days ago when Boss and Becka had dragged her out, literally by her hands and shoved her into a car. After that she was off on this stupid adventure that made her lost on a island. Sighing, she started to watch as the rain ran down the window.
Hearing his name she smiled at him, "I like it, it sounds mysterious and yet cool." she said and doubted that even though he had the same name as the guy they were looking for he was it. "But it is nice to finally get your name. I'm Jade Saint." she said as she smiled at him and then found a spike of fear go through her. She was going to meet his MOTHER?!?!? she had never done that before, actually she hardly had any experience with other peoples parents. What were they like? how was a mother suppose to react? how was she suppose to act? All she knew was that bringing a girl home to a mother was a big thing, or at least in movies it was. Was it the same for real life?
when they reached the house, she looked outside and found herself thinking about her room. Guess the other world to describe it was homey. As she unbuckled herself she moved to open the door but found Jasper opening it for her. Glaring, she slid out, "I can walk by myself, so don't worry about me. Now lets get inside." she said and with that raced towards the door. Without even knocking, she opened the door and smiled as she got out of the rain. "I remember how much I hated the rain now." she said to herself.
Lady Chello 11-10-2014 12:06 AM
Mrs. Loueann sat in her chair as she glared at the door not far from her. She held the pup who still slept. Her eyes narrowed on the girl. "Should I kill you now for barging in my door? " She said coldly as she pulled out a glock from her side table pointing it at the young girl. "It's rude to barge into someones house without permission. Why don't you try that again and this time knock on the door and wait to be let in." The elderly woman said her eyes still narrowed on the girl. She was not kidding with the girl as she pulled back on the slide ready to shot the girl if she needed to. She didn't take kindly to stranger especially rude ones.
Jasper cursed as he watched the girl screaming after her. "Oh she's dead." He said as he watched the door open without knocking. He slowly made his way to the house. He peered into the house as he saw Mrs.Loueann with one of her small firearms. "Well at least it wasn't the shotgun." He said as he stood at the doorway. "Mrs.Loueann this is Jade Saint. I found her washed up. We came to get Tank." He said as he watched the woman's eyes cut to him. "That's fine you can come in but she is going to go right back out my door and try this again. You don't barge into peoples houses. That is how you get killed. You come sit right here." She said as she looked to the couch. Jasper moved past Jade as he to his seat. The little bundle asleep on the lady started moving hearing Jasper's voice. The small pup's head popped out as it wined shaking happily to see Jasper. The pup looked up at Mrs. Loueann and followed the gaze to the strange girl. His attention drifted back to Jasper as the pup cried for him.
Palmoun 11-10-2014 12:36 AM
Jade jumped when the old lady talked to her and knew that tone of voice all to well. It was the tone that clearly told her that she would kill her. As the old lady lectured her, jades eyes never left the gun that was pointed at her and took in everything. Sure, she knew she was rude but half the time she didn't know any better. "Look, I just wanted to get out of the rain. So I am sorry if i am not welcome, would you rather let me catch my death." she asked, clearly not shaken by the gun in front of her and part of her waited for it to fire.
When Jasper came in she waited for him to get the old lady to calm down but instead he just sat down on the couch. Sighing, she knew one thing right now and that was she didn't want to deal with people, "You know I would rather stay in the car." she said simply and then disappeared out the door. The rain hit her in the face and she cursed all nature as she walked towards the car. Once there, she opened the door, crawled inside and then locked all the doors. It wasn't as warm as the house, but it was better then dealing with people. Curling up into a ball, she closed her eyes and pulled the hood over her head so that she looked like a ball.
She missed her room and computers. That was the only thought she had as she laid there. People were odd creatures who lacked logic. Yes, she ran inside and yes, she didn't ask, but what did you except when it was raining and storming. A computer program would understand that and see the logic instead of lecturing her. Pulling the coat closer, she tried to get some warmth from herself and then relaxed. She didn't care how long Jasper took in there, she wasn't going to go back in. She would wait here till the storm ended if she had too.
Lady Chello 11-10-2014 01:16 AM
"I see you found someone worse than you where." Mrs.Loueann said as she watched the girl leave. She put her gun away as she handed the pup to Jasper." She is staying with you? I think tomorrow you will bring her here for the entire after noon. In fact for the next few days." She said as she looked at the pup who danced in Jasper's arms. "Why don't you sit here for a bit dear." Jasper was going to protest but he could tell she wouldn't have it. "If your going out there your supper is in the basket. Here is the keys." He said as he sat on the couch playing with the puppy. He smiled as he looked at Tank. "See this is why, you don't put two tigers in a cadge. Why don't we go make some hot chocolate for the ladies?" He said picking up the puppy as he made his way into the kitchen. He could only shake his head. If Jade thought she won she was wrong. He had to learn the hard way himself once.
He went into the kitchen as he began baking. He found baking relaxing and tonight he needed to bake. He wanted to stand up for Jade but he knew she needed this. She had to learn manners even if it killed her. Mrs.Loueann could break any person. There was no doubt in his mind she could handle Jade.
Mrs.Loueann walked out the door shutting it behind her. She locked it as she walked to the truck. She open the drivers side door peering in. She simply slid in with one graceful movement. She made sure she locked the door locking the two of them into the truck. "Are you done being a spoiled brat? " The woman asked as she stared out the windshield. "You can't run away from me. Miss those little computers don't you, little hacker. Don't worry your friends have been obtained their boat was found heading back without you. " She said as cold as every. " You wont to get home to your boss. The man that told those people to kill you. You are worthless to them just like your father was. " She said as she pulled out a small recorder and hit play. The sound was from the black box on the boat. The passages laughing at losing Jade. They knew the boss wouldn't be happy but they could easily find another hacker to replace her. The laughter turned to screams and cursing as their boat was surrounded by the coast guard. She let it play over and over again as she just sat there. After a while she turned it off. " I know your a nobody in this world with no one who cars about you. I also know you where here for Jasper. What your boss didn't tell you and your friends is who you are dealing with. Don't let my exterior fool you. I can kill you faster than anyone on this island. I got a report about you and your thug friends before you left the docks. If you where half the hacker you thought you where, you wouldn't be here. Now you can act like a donky's rear or you can suck it up butter cup. You chose this life, it was your choice to come. You could have told them no, or did your homework before coming. There are only three days a year anything can get through here. Meaning you are stuck on this island for a long time. As for your friends they are never going to be heard from again. Thank you for your trail you left while breaking into databases. Your so sloppy you made it child's play to set them up. By the way, your boss knows it was you. I made sure to send him all the information you gave the government when you hacked in on his operations. I'm sure he can't wait to get his hands on you." She said pulling out a wade of papers. She threw them at the girl. "They are copies of everything you have every hacked. "
Mrs. Loueann turned around as she grabbed the basket. "I suggest you act nicer to the people here. Jasper didn't have to pick you up. He could have left you to die. I suggest you get off your high horse and act more grateful to him. On this island I'm the big fish. You'll find the others here do as I say. I suggest you learn manners or I'll beat them into you. I don't care if you bleed or cry honestly. Jasper wont be here to save you. So get up and get your sorry rear in the house. I'll take those papers thank you. I suggest we keep this between ourselves. I'm sure you don't wont people knowing your a hacker with a price on her head." The woman said as she took the papers and recorder.
Palmoun 11-10-2014 02:33 AM
Jade thought that Jasper had come but when she peeked out instead she was greeted by the old lady. Curling up again, she tried to forget about her and everything here. But as she started to talked she found she didn't' want to more and more and curled up more. Yet as she talked fury started to bubble under her. Oh, this lady talked like she seemed to know everything about her. Did she really? oh god no she didn't and when she finally picked up the recorder she did the one thing she had wanted the moment that lady had come into her life. She punched her. She punched her hard and as fast as she could as anger filled her.
Glaring at her, it was clear that everything in her was on fire. "YOU LISTEN HERE YOU OLD BAT I NEVER CHOSE ANY OF THIS! THIS IS MY LIFE I KNOW NOTHING ELSE." Her fists were clenched so hard that after a few moments blood started to drip down them. "YOu say I chose this damn life, you say I chose to be with Boss, you say that all of this was my choice well guess what it wasn't. I was made to be a hacker. I was born in a hole with computers and they hardly let me out. The only times I came out were because they brought me out and if you think a simple no would work you are so wrong. They killed my dad for saying no and dragged me around where they wanted. I am just a hacking doll to them, I am nothing else." she said as she glared at her as a few tears ran down her cheeks. She knew she was useless and she didn't' need this lady to tell her. Turning she tried to get out of the car but found it locked just like before. Of course the lady had to make her time here hell. Without thinking, she readied her elbow and ran it through the window. Then, with a bleeding elbow and hands, she crawled out the window.
Looking back at the old bat, she took eh coat off and hug it on the side mirror of the car. "I am useless, I am nothing, I am suppose to be dead. I know all of this, I don't need you rubbing it in my face." she said softly as she closed her eyes and then turned towards the wild, "Now will you please just leave me alone." she said and with that just started walking. She needed to get away as the truth continued to hit her, truths that she had already known deep down but it still hurt. The only reason she had been able to actually live about for some time now was ignoring the truth and putting up a act, a act that gradually became the true her. But under it all she was just a girl who knew all to well that she was alone, useless, unneeded, unwanted.
If the lady had come after her she didn't hear to and gradually just started running. She didn't' care where or anything, she just wanted to get away. Finally, once the rain was getting to annoying for her she looked around and found a nice dry little patch under some rocks. Crawling under it, she curled up and waited for the last thing that boss wanted from her. Death.
Lady Chello 11-10-2014 03:05 AM
Mrs. Loueann just calmed out of the car she followed her. It wasn't the first person she had met with issues. She waited a bit til the girl found a place. She pulled out her gun as she stared at the girl. "You asked for it darling." She said as she shot the girl in the shoulder. She walked to where the girl was pistol whipping her with the gun across the face sending her to the ground. Pulling out a pair of handcuffs, she cuffed the girl pulling her to her feet.
"Take that rage and put it to good use. If you don't like your life change it." She said as she as she lead the girl back to the house. She walked her through the door as she saw Jasper there. "We just had a little discussion is all." She said as she saw Jasper looking to the girl's wounds and the blood. "What what's a little bullets between friends." She said as she lead Jade to the bathroom. She placed her down on a stool. "Jasper are you going to hover over me now?" She said as Jasper followed not happy by seeing the girl like this. " Do you want to be next young man?" She said as her eyes cut coldly to him. Jasper stared at Jade as he pulled out the medical kit. He rushed to her side as he saw her elbow and shoulder. "Jade...are you ok?" He asked as he cut his eyes to Mrs.Loueann. "GET OUT!!!" He yelled at her.
She looked so shocked as she did so. He had never rose his voice at her. She wasn't sure how to handle this. He gently whipped Jade's face letting out a sigh of relief. "At least she shot you with blanks. When I can I got the real deal." He said as he looked at her elbow. He pulled a few shards of glass from it, cleaning it before bandaging it. He removed the cuffs using a paper clip from the basket to do so. He just shook his head as he stared at her. "I...crazy old bat. You couldn't have done anything worth this. Please let me carry you and we will get out of here." He said to her still in shock at everything that happen.
Palmoun 11-10-2014 03:30 AM
The first thing that Jade thought when she heard the ringing and the pin in her shoulder was she wished it was through the heart. But that was about the last coherent thing she could remember because after that pain was across her face. She felt herself being dragged and in her muddied thoughts she wondered if boss was taking her to another place to hack into something. But then she remembered he didn't' want her and instead was being dragged around by someone else who didn't want her. why didn't' they just leave her alone? Why couldn't that shot had been in the heart? Why?
She hardly even registered when they were inside as her mind tried to register what the lady had said. Change her life? How? How was she suppose to when she knew nothing? She wasn't useful, so why try being something else? Why couldn't she just die? Could you become something else? Was death something that she didn't' have to do now? Thought continued to drum around in her head and no answer came to her. She only knew certain things, she knew things about computers and compared them to life. If each human was like a part of a computer, once they became damaged or unuseful you got ride of them. They couldn't' be repurposed, weren't humans just the same?
Her mind went blank when she heard someone scream and then she felt a hand on her cheek. It was soft, warm, not harsh and she couldn't' help but remember her father. When she felt her arms drop down to her side free she did the one thing that she knew she wanted. She wanted that warm soft feeling again, that feeling where she felt safe. LIke she was back at her room only now she knew it was better. Instantly, she wrapped her arms around Jasper and buried her face into his chest. He was warm, not just in heat but in being, kindness she guessed was the right word. Was kindness like this? Given freely? So nicely? She wasn't sure, but she guessed so because she liked it. Yet she didn't' say anything as she hugged him, buying her face into his chest more as silent tears ran down her face. She wasn't sure if the tears were for the pain of the wounds, the pain of the reality of the world, or the kindness he was giving her. All she knew was that they continued to come.
