My past is long but here is a brief summary: My mother, the Vampire Queen of Holeria, was killed by the vampires of Ven'Deya when I was only a baby. I had been born only days before, which left my mother weak. My father, the King, has done his best to raise me, but he has more important things to worry about. Ever since I was a child, I have suffered from debilitating migraines that, when left untreated, can even cause me to black out. I am currently searching for a human vessel who won't be put off by this weakness of mine. How do I look?: Oh and here is a very things you might want to know: I am a gifted artist. She put it in a place so deep inside her subconscious that no one could every find it not even her. Before she erased the girl to save herself she was born into this world. Unlike most she had a secret. She was born with wings. It was a genetic quirk in her family. The Royal greeting card of her family as some had put it. The wings had been the symbol for her families Royal crest and their divine right to rule. As a child she was happy for the most part. Till the day the Ven’Deya clan attacked. They murdered every living being in her kingdom. She watched her father die in her arms and heard her mothers screams. The worse for her was the death of her brother. That night she lost her world and herself. In anger and fear she flooded the whole kingdom leaving no evidence of it. At first she had tried to move on and cope. The humans however feared her because she was the last of her family the last of the bloodline. A walking target witch would bring the Ven’Deya to any door step. After wondering for a summer she returned to the large lake she had made of her home. She sat at the shore and cried till the lake and winter had enough of her tears. The lake took her. In the middle of the lake she rested. Her body but a vessel for her mind. Till now she rest in the middle of the lake waiting for something to free her and give her a life and purpose besides guarding the place she has long forgotten. How do I look?: Oh and a few things to know: As she sleeps in her Coma state her body stops ageing. She become frozen in the state she was in when she went into the coma. That is why she appears to be only ten when she is really twenty. She has a ability to befriend most animals and loves to sing and dance. |
One year. It had been one whole year since the death of his father, the king. And now Kenshin, crown prince and sole heir to the throne of Holeria, was old enough to take his father's place. The only problem was that the young vampire had yet to take on a human vessel, and as such was considered still a child in the eyes of his people. In order to take the throne and lead the kingdom, Kenshin Hashimoto had to find a human virgin to be his vessel, and drink the blood of that human. One would think with so many humans around, that this would be an easy task, but Kenshin didn't want just any human. Since he was young, he had dreamed of a human girl with beautiful wings calling to him, and he was sure that this human was meant to be his vessel. Finding her had proven quite difficult, as the only humans with wings had been completely wiped out twenty ago by the Ven’Deya, an evil race of vampires bent on destroying humankind. There were no known survivors, and no other humans who fit the description of the girl Kenshin was looking for. On top of that, Kenshin's frequent migraines stopped him from searching very far or very often. Still, he remained confident that the girl from his dreams was alive somewhere, and he was determined to find her. That was the goal of his quest that day, as he set out from the castle on his favorite horse. It would be that day, if not some day very soon thereafter, that he found his winged human girl. Looking back at the castle as he rode away, he vowed it on his own mother's grave.

Sephora slept in her lake. She had lost concept of time after years in the lake. The lake had it's own magic that kept her safe. She could see the outside world using her mind. The one person she longed for to see with her eyes was the young man she kept seeing. She couldn't remember a day without him in her head. If she didn't see him she heard his voice. She had tried for years to find him. However she found herself now a prisoner of the Lake. The years had faded for her, along with the memories of who she was. The reason why she was in the lake had faded as well. She spent her time seeing the world through the young man. They had a mental connection that was stronger than any others.
She had felt his pain over the year. She knew he needed her, but no matter how hard she tried she couldn't free herself from the lake. She floated in the middle suspended in a beautiful crystal. She had tried to show him where she was but to no avail. She stopped thinking as she tried once again flashing pictures of the area around the lake. She tried to show him the lake. The rocks with the Winged emblem on them. She stopped after a while as she drifted into a deep sleep. She had done all she could now she could only sleep. |
As Kenshin traveled, he became aware of something odd happening. At first it was faint, like a daydream one can't quite remember. But soon it became stronger, until he had to stop his horse to reorient himself. There were images flashing so vividly across his mind that he couldn't concentrate on the path in front of him. It was almost as if he was there, seeing it with his own eyes. A lake, a rock with a winged crest engraved onto it, a clearing in the forest...blinking, he tentatively spurred his horse onward. He found, after some trial and error, that he could determine the right direction by the strength of the visions. And so he continued, following the visions until, quite suddenly, he found himself facing the clearing in person. His horse refused to go any further, as if it sensed a presence that told it to stay back. Accepting this, Kenshin dismounted and started cautiously forward, walking until he was inches from the water of the lake. The stone and it's carving were within reaching distance. The visions had stopped, convincing him that his winged human was here somewhere, but he couldn't see her. As he wondered what to do, one of his frequent migraines hit, bringing him to his knees. Breathless from the pain, the young vampire prince slowly crawled to the stone and leaned on it, using it to hold himself up. His fingers brushed against the emblem carved there, and for some reason he took comfort from it. He was unable to think, move or speak. He would have to wait for the headache to pass before he could figure out what to do next.

The area looked at peace until Kenshin touched the winged emblem. A glow came from the center of the lake, awakening the lake it's self. The trees began to moan and bend as a breeze swept in. The water from the middle of the lake starting to bubble and ripple from something starting to surface. A blue glow came from the water as a large crystal shot up from the water. It hovered above the water, the water making a platform leading to the crystal. A glowing path on the water's surface leading to the crystal. It looked as if the water with all of it's magic had been waiting for him.
The crystal glowed faintly Sephora herself trapped inside of it. The glow coming from her frail body as she slept. She was dressed in clothing that was long gone. Her hair adorn with the flowers from her lost home. Her white wings frozen into place making her a sight to see. The glow from the water started to fade, the water giving it's own magic to the sleeping girl. Her own power starting to grow causing the glow that came from her to become almost blinding for a moment. The water gave her all of the magic it could without losing all of it's own magic. The girl slowly starting to wake from her deep sleep thanks to the power given to her by the water. "Come to me and I will heal you." A sweet voice said echoing through the area. The girl still frozen in her crystal. Once again it echoed the same message feeling Kenshin near. The path still glowing for Kenshin, in hopes he would free the girl from her crystal prison. The voice coming from the sleeping girl as she spoke again. " Place your hand in the waters here, they will heal you if only for a while. " Her voice was kind, and full of love for him. She knew him he was the one she had longed to be with. He had freed her from the water. She hopped he would free her from the crystal. She longed to open her own eyes and see him for once with them not her mind. |
When the water started to boil, Kenshin thought at first that he was seeing things. However, the spectacle continued, leading to a giant crystal rising from the water, a winged girl trapped inside. A voice that was both familiar and alien sounded through the clearing, inviting Kenshin to touch the water and be healed. Any other time, he would have run for his life, but something just felt right in this situation. Despite his pounding head, Kenshin struggled to his feet and started towards the water. He knew that this was the girl from his dreams, without a doubt, but for some reason he felt that he needed to see her eyes to confirm it. He had to free her, to open her eyes, no matter what. With this thought in mind, he started on the seemingly impossible path of water that lead to the crystal, taking only a minute to reach the structure. When he was within reaching distance, he lifted his arm and reached out to lay his hand on the crystal without hesitation. It was smooth and pleasantly cool to the touch. "I'm here. Please come to meet me...I've been looking for you."
|
Sephora's eyes slowly open from his touch. A loud cracking sound came from the crystal as fractures appeared where he had touched the crystal. The fractures grew larger till the crystal shattered into a fine Mist of shards. Sephora hit the plat form falling from where she had been hovering. She looked up as she saw him. She smiled softly as her wings slowly began to move, you could tell she was enjoying being free. She slowly moved to her knees as she peered up at him. "I-I thought I would never meet you in person." She said as she smiled at her her mouth never opening. " Your in pain again please let me help ease your pain." She said once again using her mental power to speak with thoughts instead of vocal responses.
She gently held out her hand to him hoping he would give her his hand. She tried to look as friendly as she could. She was more excited than she showed. She had heard him for many years and now she finally was seeing him with her own eyes not just in her mind. "I am please to meet you. I'm sorry to have caused you so much issues. I am very sorry for your loss." Her smile gone now as she looked ready to cry knowing how much pain he had been in from the loss of his father. |
Kenshin watched in awe as the crystal cracked, then shattered, leaving the girl inside laying on the pedestal. His eyes stayed glued to the girl, watching her wings move slightly, watching her sit up and hold her hand out. His mouth dropped in amazement when her voice sounded in his mind, without a single movement from her mouth. Speechless, he reached out to her and gently, carefully, took her hand. The moment their skin touched, he felt a jolt of power, both mental and physical. It felt as if something clicked, a missing piece snapped into place and suddenly he was whole...they were whole. For just a moment, he could hear another heartbeat alongside his own. His migraine was gone, part of him realized. Then she spoke again, and he was brought back to reality. His physical pain was gone, but the emotional pain he had been holding back for so long came crashing back to him, making it feel as though his heart was going to shrivel away. "Please, there is no need to apologize. You have caused me no problems, miss." He told her in a choked voice. "If anything, you gave me hope in a hopeless time. You have been with me, even when everyone else left. I am grateful to you for that. I can only apologize for not finding you sooner."

Sephora just sat there as she felt him touch her. It sent shock waves through her as she tried to understand what happen. She was still lost as he heard him speak. Something had changed inside of her as she sat there from his simple touch. She felt alive, for the first time she felt she had a purpose. She slowly tried to stand relying on her mind to do the work for her physical body. The years in the lake had did a tole on her physical body. She wondered if the deterioration of her physical body was how she gained her immense metal power. That was about the time she found Kenshin using her mind. "I-I..." She said trying to use her mouth for once finding it rather difficult to. "I think we have been with each other. I have been alone here for so long I don't remember why. " She said using her thoughts instead. It was easier this way no trying to fumble with words. "Your pain it went away how strange." She said as she felt him clearly now. "I'm just happy you found me. I didn't think I would ever get to see you. Dreams are hard to talk in."
|
Kenshin nodded. "I know. I always wanted to talk to you in those dreams, but I could never figure out how." He said, noting the girl's trouble speaking and her physical weakness. He stood with her, keeping a gentle hand on her arm in case she fell. "My pain...my headache went away when I took your hand. I think you took the pain away." He said, without even realizing that he hadn't spoken at all. He had unknowingly used his mind to speak, like she did. "Oh, I have forgotten my manners. My name is Kenshin Hashimoto, crown prince and sole heir to the throne of Holeria. But, I simply go by Kenshin. It is easier to say." He smiled slightly, indicating that he was kidding. "May I ask your name, miss?"
|
Sephora smiled as she heard him. A soft laughter came from her as she tried to stable herself. She was amazed she was finally standing on her own two feet even if it was with help. "Sephora is my name. Or that is what I remember of it. I don't remember much from being here. I know you and this lake." She said as she stood there looking lost for a moment. She tried to think what else she knew but she found nothing. There was a void where the rest of her memories should have been. She tried to think about what he said. Did she know about Holeria or should she. After a while she looked back to him and simple smiled. "Holeria should I know what that is? Please don't think me rude. I feel that I should but I don't. You are the only person I have ever seen here. Though I'm not sure where here is." She said as she found her lack of memories upsetting. Why did't she have any she thought as she slowly looked around the lake.
She looked to Kenshin as she had a idea. "Would you mind is I borrowed your memories to learn everything you know? It might make things easier on both of us. " She said as she hoped he wouldn't be made about her suggestions. "I promise I would only use the memories and information you wished for me to see. I will pry into the thoughts or your secrets." She said meaning it hoping she could learn from him. She feared if she had to learn on her own it would take far to long. |
"Sephora...it is a beautiful name."Kenshin said, out loud this time, liking how it sounded when he spoke it. He looked around for a moment, as if trying to find her lost memories for her. "If you have been here that long, then perhaps you would not know of Holeria." He said after a while, wondering just how long she had been there. At her suggestion, he didn't hesitate. "Of course, you may use my memories. I feel that you have been part of my mind for so long...it seems only fair that you should know it as I do. And it would be faster to learn this way, though I wouldn't mind teaching you. Please, go ahead and search as you wish. Take whatever you need from me, I give it freely." He told her, switching unconsciously back into speaking with his mind.
