Princess under fire

There was always peace within the kingdoms, until something happened...no one was able to figure it out. A large number of villagers were killed and the Kingdom of Frevaton were in shock and blamed Verias when they saw the symbol of the Royal family of Verias. Frevaton blamed the Verias Kingdom and has ever since been trying to kill the Princess of Verias as revenge for the deaths of the villagers. However, the king and queen have been getting more and more worried, they had to hire one of their knights to always watch over the Princess at all times. But that doesn't mean she is going to make it easy. She is actually nicknamed the "Miracle Child" to everyone in the kingdom, and there is a reason. A long time ago, the King and Queen weren't expecting to have children since the Queen was told that she wasn't able to. This, of course, caused the Queen to become very sad and almost depressed, the King knew she wanted to have children and tried to comfort her as best he could. However, as the months past, the Queen started getting a little sick. Worried, the King had the doctor check and he replied with an answer they didn't expect to hear, the queen was pregnant. Of course, the King and Queen were confused at first, but it soon turned to happiness as they prepared to have their first child. After nine months, the Queen gave birth to a healthy baby girl. The people of Verias were happy to hear of they had an heir to the Verias throne. they neighboring kingdom, Frevaton, sent gifts to the royal couple and their daughter, Indigo. As the years past, the King and Queen would try their best to raise their daughter to be a young lady, but that was a little difficult since she almost always daydreaming about other things, such as going outside and exploring. She would sometimes get away from her studies and watch the knights train, fascinated with the weapons, but didn't want to use them. It wasn't until she was older that she got into Fencing. She trained a lot when it came to fencing, often disguising herself to go to fencing tournaments and winning some of them. Indigo's life, as witnessed, is pretty good. But she doesn't take it for guaranteed. She learned to always share and never do things selfishly. Indigo took these to heart until the attack on her people. Frevaton attack Verias and even sent assassins to kill Indigo. The King and Queen soon hired a knight to protect their daughter, while their daughter tries to figure out what is really going on. Name: Drake Frances Hert
Age: 20 Gender: Male What are you: Knight of Verias, son of Tarrence Hert the blacksmith of the king Weapons: Heavy long sword Where are you from: Born and raised in Verias Bio: Being from Hert family wasn't easy half the time, Drake's brothers were knights and his father was close to the king as well. He was the smallest of the four and was pushed to be a knight as well, after his mothers passing he trained to be one of the best and picked up the tallent for using oversized blades. The waight never stopped him as he could use them as if they were practice sticks. He now was moving up in the line of command and got a challenging task, keeping an eye on the princess. The Castle of Verias shone brightly due to the afternoon sun. It looked over towards the civilians who went about on their daily duties. To join was no other than their Royal King and Queen, Godrick V. Haskellia and Felicia V. Baska-Haskellia. They had the duties of the kingdom to worry about as well as the recent attack on the kingdom and the Princess again. It was becoming tiresome having to deal with this, but it was to protect their daughter, they would do anything. Their daughter in the other hand, remained in her room, leaning against the window as she looked over the training grounds as well the village beyond the castle.
The young girl had light brown skin with long white hair, her clothes were a slightly transparent white with gold pieces of jewelry around her body. Her red eyes scanned the area as a smile spread on her face. "Ahh~ how lovely." She said with a soft smile on her lips. The young princess stood up as she walked over towards the dresser mirror and started brushing her hair, she smiled softly, humming softly as she gently closed her eyes lightly. The young girl's name was Indigo, Princess Indigo V. Bask-Haskellia of Verias. The letter V. is the sign of the Royal family of Verias. Indigo is a miracle child, born to the queen who was told she was unable to have children. With a smile on her face, Indigo looked in towards her left, getting a small journal as she started writing into it. She looked through it as she hummed softly. Indigo turned her head back, thinking when her guardian would come; looking back towards the journal as she continued writing, humming a little more. She ended up singing to herself, the song was sung to her when she was younger. Once she was done writing, she continued with singing and brushing her hair. |
The afternoon sun was bright as Drake walked threw the castle, his boots clanked as they his the floor with each step. He was summoned by the king the day before with his new orders, to protect the princess. To Drake it wasn't the best job that came to mind, but he would obay his lord none the less. The tail of his gray cloak badly missed the ground as it swayed and his sword was strapped to his back as it missed the doorways he passed as well. The small smile on his face as he passed a few of the maids that true not to stare, that always made him chuckle.
After what felt like a long walk Drake found the door he was looking for, with a small knock he announced himself. "My lady" he said loud enough it could pass threw the wooden door, "sir Drake Hert reporting for duty" he added and bowed like normal knowing she wouldn't see it. |
Indigo continued humming softly, brushing her hair until she stopped. "There." She said fluffing her hair a little then stood up to get ready for the day. She jumped lightly, looking over to hear something. A knock on the door? Indigo walked over towards the door and heard the voice, it was the guardian, Drake. A smile spread on her face as she opened the door to see the man there. A soft chuckle escaped her lips before she placed her hands behind her back. "How formal of you. Well, I am glad to see you are on time at least." She said stepping out of her room. The young Princess fixed her clothes, making sure they were neat and not appear as if they were going to fall off anytime soon that would be embarrassing. Indigo let out a soft sigh, her back facing the knight before her. "Tell me, how do you feel having this job, watching over me? Making sure that nothing happens to me." She asked out of curiosity. Her long silverish white hair moving only slightly, her red eyes shifting to her right as she waited for an answer.

Placing his hands by his side, Drake faced the princess as she walked by him. Her question threw him off guard but he cleared his throat softly and stood up straight, "its an honor my lady, I will give my life if nesissary" he said with a slight nod. Drake wished he would have gotten a task with more action like his brothers, but he knew his job was important none the less. "I will not interfier with you duties, but I'll do what's needed" he said before he looked down the hall. It was empty just they way it would be, he would stay close to her as he could bescause he never could tell when the next attack would show up.

Indigo listened to the man speak, she thought for a moment before turning around fully and looking at him, she walked closer to him and narrowed her eyes slightly. "Hm~" Was all that escaped her mouth as she turned back and started walking down the hall. Indigo chuckled softly, "I see, I am guessing that is your truthful answer? I do not like lairs." She stated with a sinister grin on her face. She was going to have a little fun with him. Indigo soon took some of her hair and started playing with it, eventually ended up braiding it a little, soon switching to the other side.
