"Huh? Oh i guess you heard us then... thank you very much, I... i wish to repay the kindness you've shown me and Shiva.... even though I've been a bit of a burden." Syrma explained then blushed a little at the end. She then looked around and smiled giving a bit of a kirtsy. "Thank you it's very nice." she smiled easily before standing straight again.

Rurik nodded, "That I did Syrma. I must say that now that you are here, Shiva won't feel so lonely anymore. She really missed you, you know...and I can tell that she's very happy to know that you'll be staying here with us." Rurik commented and offered a small smile. "Well then, I'll let you be comfortable and catch up with Shiva since I'm sure the two of you have plenty to talk about." he said and excused himself.

"Thank you again... and... I do hope we can become friends as well... if that's okay." Syrma smiled softly hoping she wasn't over stepping her bounds

"F-friends...?" Rurik repeated and thought about it for a bit. He couldn't keep a friend for more than a week, what made this case any different. "We'll see what happens Syrma..." he answered quietly and left to his room where Jamil had finished bathing Sylph and was just now drying him off. "I hope he has been behaving." he said to Jamil who nodded. "He has my lord. It's my pleasure to take care of such a wonderful animal." Jamil replied. Sylph looked over at Rurik and cried out, obviously happy to see him. "When you are done drying him, you are free to go and have yourself a break Jamil." Rurik said to which Jamil smiled and bowed. "Thank you kindly my lord." he said and finished drying Sylph before leaving the two. "Hello again Sylph." Rurik started and sighed as he sat down beside him.

"Thank you." Syrma smiled before heading to Shiva's room where they spoke for a little while before Syrma let her get some rest and headed outside to take a look around, it had been a very long time since she had walked around and seen the world in her true form, it was refreshing to not be so short.

"Can you believe that Syrma asked to be my friend?" Rurik started and shook his head. "Oh right, you don't know what happened." he said and began to explain to Sylph what had happened. "So now, we don't have a fox anymore. Instead we have Shiva's old mistress, how interesting don't you think?" he said and smiled as he gently pet Sylph. "She wants to be my friend but I don't know what to think of that. I haven't had a friend in years really. I don't even know what friends do." Rurik explained.

"Oh Miss Syrma you're so lucky! Getting Master to say he'll see about being your friend, oh what I wouldn't give! But I am happy just being his servant don't get me wrong, I love having Master a my master, just like I loved having you as my mistress." Shiva smiled happily when Syrma came back in to talk to her a little later and told her about the conversation that she had had with Rurik. This really seemed to make Shiva happy and a bit jealous. She wished that Rurik would see her as a friend sometimes

Rurik continued to pet Sylph and smiled slightly when Sylph cooed happily at the attention he was receiving. "What do you think I should do? Meleanie knows about friends more than I do...so that means I'll have to talk to her about this. Even though I really don't want to." Rurik said to himself and we needed what she was going to say to him. "I guess we should go look for her. I wonder if she's even home." he said and looked down at Sylph who flapped his wings.

Mel smiled as she said good bye to her friends and walked inside noticing how lively the house seemed to be, the servants were quietly chatting about the new girl making her wonder a bit what had happened and what was going on.

"Come on Sylph, let's go look for her." Rurik said and picked up Sylph, taking him into his arms and headed out as he looked for the one girl he did not like. This was a big step even for him. "Meleanie!" he called out and found her walking into the house. "You need to come with me right now because I need to talk to you about something." Rurik explained and sat down on the couch. Sylph cooed and nuzzled Rurik's hand.

Mel was surprised at this but smiled happily and fallowed Rurik sitting across from him easily. "What is it that you need?" she asked still smiling a bit glad that he was actually willing to talk to her.

"I can't believe I'm actually doing this. Look, in order for you to even understand what I want to ask you I have to explain to you what just happened." Rurik said and began to explained to her the entire event that took place while she was gone. "Syrma wants to...well she hopes to be my friend and I don't know what to think of that." he explained.

"Wow... what a story... while i'm very happy that you would ask me for help there's very little I can tell you. If you want to have friends, just be nice to them... get close to them, almost like how you seem to be with Shiva, it's really just as simple as that. Friends talk to each other and most do things together or have common interests, but not always. Does that help at all?" mel smiled a little hoping her simple explanation was good enough

Rurik just stared at her and sighed. "I am not good at keeping friends for more than a week. You wouldn't know that though because you weren't here. I am not exactly a nice guy. I have a reputation to keep...yet I am not as....well cold hearted behind closed doors." Rurik said and narrowed his eyes. "You better not tell anyone that I'm different behind closed doors!" he warned.

Mel laughed a little but nodded. "Why do you insist on being seen as a cruel person though? why not allow people to see that you are just who you are? Strict but kind when it counts?" she asked curiously really wanting to know since she didn't much understand it herself.

"Because only then do people actually fear and respect me." Rurik replied. "Enough about that though, I still don't know what to do about the whole friend thing. I don't have any friends, Shiva is not my friend she is my personal servant. I think only Sylph here is my friend. He is my only friend really." Rurik said seriously and frowned slightly.

"There is no shame in saying that you have grown close to your personal servant, in all honesty mine was my best friend, like part of the family. But what i meant is that you are close to Shiva it seems, all there is to making friends is being kind to others, talking to them, and spending time with them, that's really all there is to it." Mel explained softly reallly hoping he understood and that she had helped.

Rurik frowned and shook his head. "You make it all sound so easy Mel. You should know by now that I'm not nice to people. I'm not nice to you, am I?" he reminded with a smirk as he stood up. "Dinner will be ready soon, I'm going to check on the girls. I will see you at dinner then." he said and sighed softly. This didn't seem helpful at all but there was nothing else he could do about it. Reaching Shiva's room, he knocked on the door before walking in with Sylph in his arms. "Hello you two. I hope I am not interrupting anything." Rurik said as he pet Sylph.

"Whatever you say." Mel smiled some before waving a bit at him then left to check on Ivy telling her what she had been told.

"Not at all master, we were just talking, Miss Syrma likes the stuffed animals you got me" Shiva smiled happily seeming a bit better after getting some rest but still looked rather weak compared to how she normally looked.

"P-please Shiva, just call me Syrma... or Imber like you used to" Syrma said softly before looking to Rurik and smiled a little.

"Yes....I'm sure she does. Speaking of little Syrma here, I gave your offer a lot of thinking." Rurik started and looked down at Sylph who wanted to run around. "Alright you can run around, but don't make a mess." he instructed before setting Sylph down and watching him run off. Looking back at Syrma, he sighed and crossed his arms across his chest. "Listen well because I don't like to repeat myself more than once. I do not have friends. When I did, I lost them all within a week...all for different reasons of course." he said with a smirk. "For the longest time I didn't bother making any friends because I didn't need them. I still feel I don't, but why should my sister be the only one surrounded by people right?" Rurik said and chuckled. "If you truly want to be my friend, then I will give you a chance. This goes for you too Shiva." he explained.

Syrma smiled as she listened to Rurik then looked at Shiva as her face lit up with a smile and slight blush. "R-really Master? Thank you, that makes me so happy." She smiled as did Syrma. "It would make me very happy as well to have you as my friend, I've never really had any friends other then Shiva... and I like to think that I'm friends with Sylph as well, he's allot of fun to play with." She smiled then giggled a little at the end.

"I don't understand the concept of one having friends, but if you both really want to be my friends...I suppose I can give it another try." Rurik explained easily. "Well then, I have no idea what to do now so I think I'll go now. You two do whatever it is girls do I don't know." he said and shook his head as he quickly left to check if dinner was ready.

Shiva and Syrma nodded before talking a bit more and Syrma easily helped Shiva up when she mentioned that dinner should be ready. "Why don't you eat in the dining room? it will give you a chance to meet Princess Meleanie." Shiva said softly and Syrma looked a little unsure. "Do you think that they would really want me in there? i don't want to be rude." she said and Shiva nodded some. "But if you're worried you could ask Jamil I'm sure he would know, he's really nice and is always helpful." she offered softly.

"Hey little buddy. Ready for dinner aren't you?" Jamil said when he saw Sylph run into the kitchen where dinner was being prepared. "Well not to worry, you know your friend Jamil always makes you something you love for dinner." he said and gently pet the gryphon before starting to work on his dinner. The kitchen was busy with servants cooking, and others had started to set the table for the royal family.

"Hello Jamil, I would like to introduce.... well re-introduce you to Syrma, she was actually Imber... I could probably explain it to you later if you like. Um she was wondering where it would be best for her to eat, she didn't know if it was propper for her to eat in the servants dining hall or in the dining room." Shiva explained as they made their way into the kitchen and to where Jamil was since Shiva knew he could work and talk at the same time without being distracted.
