Lex was surprised honestly that Jesse agreed to go with him without a fight. "Thanks man." He said as he started out the door. " It isn't that far lets walk. If I can level with you some strange stuff is happening around the town. I honestly believe that the Sheriff is aware of it. He's put Fadia on patrol around town and making me and the other men go out to investigate any strange reports. " He admitted as he headed for the library first. " A couple of days after the bad someone broke into the Library and stole all the old records. I mean dating back from the beginning of this town and books on lore. " He said as he walked with Jesse. "I know it sounds weird but I have a gut feeling that there are two men here after someone in the town. I didn't have time to tell you what happen to Fadia and I before you and Radi......before you got home from your sisters. Mr. Wright had been abducted and dragged all the way to the falls witch are miles from the dinner in the deepest part of the woods. I had seen a reflection coming from the falls and when I looked up I saw two figures there. I swear one of them had a high power sniper rial. I spooked them and they vanished. Since that night more and more strange events have started to happen in town. I couldn't tell Faida what I saw. I believe the men where targeting one of the police officers. I saw that because the two choice a isolated spot. They hand picked a victim that they knew we would come for and most would come alone to search for. I know I could be wrong. But this feels like they are hunting someone in the town. Why would anyone steal books full of records and lore? Also there is rumors that the shrine here has been destroyed. I've got strange reports of shadowy men that keep finding their way to some of our lady citizens at night by a few of the local men. I need to get to the falls and find out if I was right in what I saw. If I am we have two highly trained men here out for blood." He said as he saw the library.

Lex walked in as he looked around. He paused as he turned and walked back to the front door. He bent down not seeing any signs of tampering. He looked around the library as his eyes landed on a old window near the locked books room. He walked to where it was and gently pushed on it causing it to come right open. He was surprised and saw marks where someone had pried it open recently. He also found a piece of clothing it was military camo to be precise. Just a shred of it caught on a nail inside the window frame. He looked out the window as he saw a shell case right outside. He picked it up as he looked to Jesse. " I think my hunch may be right. I have a feeling we'll find more of this at the waterfalls. " he said.

Radiance had taken the day off and for once left the town. She had flown to Jesse sister house. She used the fog to hide herself as she placed a neatly wrapped box on the front door then rang the bell vanishing into the fog as she took her stop in the trees watching everything. She had left the items she had promised along with gifts for Ellie. For some reason she felt drawn to Ellie today. She peered into Ellie's room where she saw the girl having a hard time breathing. It made Radiance worry as she watched the girl. She could see the young girl was fighting for her life. She couldn't stand another moment as she leaped from her tree the fog still hiding her. She climbed into the window this time in her true form. She let the fog fill the house as she walked over to Ellie. "Shh my little one. I will heal you and you will never have to worry about colds or anything harming you again only old age and life unpredictable." She said as she picked up baby Ellie.

A single tear feel from her as it landed on Ellie sinking into her skin as a white aura came from the small girl. "Now now little one. Be a good girl and I promise to visit you." She said kissing Ellie's forehead. Ellie laughed and giggled happy to see Radiance. It made Radiance smile as she put the child down. She turned to leave as she paused hearing Ellie cry out for her. She paused as she pulled out one of her feathers from her angel wing placing it in Ellie's hand. She smiled as that seemed to quiet little Ellie. She vanished out the window taking the fog with her. She took her place outside once again in the trees as she watched hoping Ellie's parents wouldn't worry about her now. She knew they would have questions as to why their daughter never got a cold or any other aliment from this point forward in her life.The only things that could harm her was accidents and old age. She would never have to worry about sickness again.

Jesse listened in silence as he walked with Lex to the library, stiffening when he started to mention HER name. "I see, interesting. So you think someone is trying to lure someone from this town out?" he asked and raised an eyebrow. Who would hurt an older man to lure someone out? Who was the actual target in that attempt? Obviously it wasn't Mr. Wright. "Two men are trying to find someone...but who?" he asked no one in particular. "The books! The books probably have information on the person or people that these men are after Lex. We need to start reading some books and start writing down any names we see that look important." Jesse explained. He wasn't a cop, but he was sure that it would be a good start.

While on patrol, Faida pulled out her cellphone and called Radiance's cell but like always she didn't answer. Faida had given up on leaving any sort of message and headed back towards the station where she started to make a report on how the patrol had gone. Finishing that, she picked it up and went over to the sheriff's office. Knocking, she waited a few before peaking inside and smiling sadly at the sheriff. "Hello.." she said quietly and handed him her report. "I apologize for finishing early. I cannot concentrate, I'm worried about Radiance. She never talks to anyone anymore, not even to me and she never answers her cellphone. I don't see her much at the house and when I do she locks herself away. I don't know what to do anymore." Faida explained in tears.

Lex nodded as he looked around the room. " I wonder if there is copies of the books so we had some idea of what they where looking for. " He said as he found one of the head Librarians. "Excuse me mam about the books that where stolen do you happen to know what was in them or if there are any more with the same information?" He asked the elderly women.

"Hello there young men. Oh as for those old books well let them think." The elderly women said she then smiled as she turned heading off towards her office. " Follow me please." She said not stopping to see if they where following her. She open the door to her office as she showed them to her computer. " One of the aids uploaded all of our book onto this computer. So there is a digital library of each and every book we on." The women said. She went to turned and paused for a moment. "Excuse me." She said as she pulled up the books in question. The last three where books of lore. She pulled up the oldest one and showed it to Lex and Jesse." I don't know why anyone would wont the lore books." She said as she looked to them.

"It's said in olden days that God was very strict on man. It was forbidden to help any human. It was the law of the heavens. However our town lore states that there where angels that did defied the laws of heaven. Some felt that the judgments on certain humans was wrong some angels for some reason had stronger urges to protect humans even from their own kind. If and angel did break the laws of heaven they where cast out and banished to earth. The book says that some keep their wings and a small portion of their power. Some can be cursed worse than others. It's said however that they can't die by normal means. These angels have to be killed by mortals or us humans to be accurate. They can only die at our hands. " The women said showing the different pictures from the ancient book. The books that where stolen speak of one such angel. She was a high ranking one. She was beautiful they say with golden hair that looked like rays of pure light. She had a voice like no other. She wielded the sword of Justice. It's said that one of her tears could cure any aliment. It was said she even had power over the elements themselves. Zandra was the name humans gave her. She fought against her own kind to protect the humans here. However it came at a great coast. It's said she was cursed worse than most angels who dared to break the laws of heaven. " The women said as she showed the next image. Zandra was cursed with a body that would make humans fear and hate her. Zandra couldn't stand her own appearance so she locked herself away in a tree and cried. It's said that a lake appeared around the great tree. The shrine was built around it. Only the decedents of the people Zandra had saved lived on the mountain and took guard over her. It's said that the lake's water have magical proprieties and can cure any aliment. " The women said as she laughed a little. " It's just and old wise tale is all. I'm not sure why someone would go through so much trouble for such a old wise tale. And the last one is of Faida the great Warrior angel. It's strange honestly. This one appeared at my door a couple of months ago. However the paper and text dates back to the same as Zandra's. Someone also listed other angels that had fallen as well and their stories. But Faida has the same story as Zandra. They chose to fight for us humans and to protect us.Faida had the Sword of Strength, Power over the Winds, Battle Cry (causes an enchantment to weaken enemies), Kiss of Healing. She was a sight to behold. It's said that she was one of the best warriors and could withstand any attack. " The old lady said as she looked to the two men. "Well if you have any other questions feel free to ask. I'm going out side to the front desk your free to go through the books here on my computer if you like. " The women said turning and leaving.

"It will be ok Faida." The sheriff said as he got up and walked over to her wrapping his arms around her. " Don't worry I have a feeling tonight she'll talk with you. This isn't the first time I've seen her upset like this. However this is the first time it's taken this long for her to clam down. I never expected her to destroy the shrine. Or push so many people away. It's not like her honestly. I'm use to her disagreeing with me but not locking me out as she has you. However if I know Zandra as I think I do she'll be home tonight and ready to talk with you. I don't know what hurt her but something did. Zandra may act and lash out but when she comes back she will be sorry and do everything in her power to correct her mistakes she always has. I think this is the first time she's been so hurt. The first cut is always the deepest that's something we as her friends and family have to remember. Zandra has a good heart and a pure one. She can only go so far before she will cave and come back to us. Why don't you take today and the rest of the week off. I think you and Zandra need some time together. " The Sheriff said as he looked up hearing the sound of wings flapping. " See what did I tell you. " He said as he heard something land on the roof and a thick fog roll in. "Mother always said speak of the devil." He said as he smiled to Faida. " I believe our Radiance is home and is ready to open her heart up again. I'll leave you two alone. " He said as he turned walking back to his desk.

Radiance closed her eyes as the fog vanished instantly. She stood on the roof of the police station. She slowly made her way down the side using the flight of stairs located on the outside. She walked to the front of the station where she closed her eyes as drew a breath before opening it. She slowly walked in and saw it was deserted. She arched a brow as she headed to the Sheriffs door. She knew she had much to apologize for with him. Just as she did with Faida and Lex. Jesse was a different story. She had learned he didn't even bother to visit her in the hospital. She was very upset with him but that wasn't a reason to be mad at everyone else. "Sheriff it's me I'm sorry for my actions. I'm sorry for the Shrine and I'm sorry for pushing you away. I pushed everyone away. Maybe I'm not good at all anymore." She said as she stood there. " It just hurt so much. I don't think I like human love. It's complicated and it hurts so bad. I even pushed sweet Faida away she didn't deserve it. I feel twice as bad it was the night of her party. I hope she can forgive me just as I hope you can as well."

Jesse listened in silence at what the woman was saying. If these were the books that were stolen, then it meant that the men were after some angels? Some angels that were here on earth? When he saw the photos, he was surprised but was even more surprised when he hard Faida's name. "Faida?" he repeated and looked at Lex. "As in, your Faida?" he asked and shook his head. That couldn't be right, Faida wasn't an angel was she? Who was Zandra? Looking at the first picture, she looked a lot like...well like 'her' but that couldn't be right either could it? Were both girls actually these fallen angels from the books? "Lex...you don't think the girls actually are these fallen angels do you?" he asked Lex once the woman was gone.

Faida frowned as she listened to him. "You really think that Radiance will want to speak today?" she asked and looked up when Radiance showed up. She wanted to be mad for her actions but she couldn't, she was happy that she was even talking right now. "Oh Radiance!" Faida cried and hugged her tightly. "I was so worried! We all were and we still are!" she explained. "I forgive you, I know things have not been easy for you after what happened but holding a grudge is not going to fix anything. You really need to talk to Jesse and fix this misunderstanding okay?" Faida suggested. "Please? I am sure it is not going any better for him. He must be locked away as well, perhaps he has tried to call you." Faida commented.

Lex looked to Jesse as he laughed hearing him. " No come on I mean they look nothing like the girls. Besides I think if they where we would know by now. Besides Zandar.....wait isn't that the name the Sheriff called Radiance when we first met her. You know here I'm sure those names might be common. You heard the lady it's lore here. The Sheriff said Radiance was born here so I'm sure that's how she got her name. And Faida is human not some angel. Well she is a angel but not like this." He said as he looked back at the pictures of the girls. " Besides if Zandra was Zandra I'm sure she'd have killed you by now. I mean you where harsh. I'd hate to be in your shoes. Besides if she was this Zandra from the lore and pictures why haven't we seen her monstrous form and what about Faida. The lore says those are their forms and from what it reads there is no hiding them. " He said as he looked at more of the books and records.

"I just don't understand all of the records are from present day. So why take them with old books of lore. I wonder if maybe the part about the shrine is it. I wonder if the guys are after something in the shrine maybe they believe in the lake made from Zandra's tears. It's just lore but there are nut jobs out there." He said as he laughed shaking his head. However he froze as he saw one of the old pictures of Zandra and Faida. The two pictures looked very close to Radiance and Faida.

"I have no intention of every speaking to that human again." Radiance said referring to Jesse as human meaning it. " I have no intention of saying I am sorry when his actions are just as bad. I'm not the only one who should say sorry. He is rude and..." She went quiet as she rolled her eyes not wishing to think anymore of him. " I might have said sorry before but not anymore. This showed his true colors to me. He's one human I wouldn't rush to save. He certainly didn't me." Radiance said as she felt a little weak. " I'm going home and cook." She announced as she turned to leave. She waited for a moment to see if Faida was coming or not before she exited the station. She walked home and blocked her mind of any thought of Jesse. Once home she cooked up some eggs, pancakes and sausage for herself. Making enough for four. She frowned as she stared at the four plates she had put on the table out of habit. She took her seat as she said her prayers then started eating.

Faida glared at Radiance, this was getting out of hand. "You are acting like a child Radiance!" she hissed but followed her out of the station and sighed. "Radiance!" she called out, but just like always, Radiance ignored her. "Why did you want forgiveness if you can't forgive others!?" she called out and smacked her head on the wall. She didn't know what to do, she lost her only friend. Pulling out her cellphone, she dialed Lex, sobbing quietly as she waited for him to answer. She just wanted things to go back to the way they were but Radiance obviously didn't want to and right now Faida didn't even want to go home so just walked back inside the station and locked herself inside of the bathroom to cry.

"Will you drop it?" Jesse asked seriously. "I don't need THAT lecture again and I don't want to revisit that old territory. I'm just starting to get over it so I don't need you or anyone else scolding me when she was the one that took everything and exaggerated it." Jesse said quietly and looked at Lex's phone when it started ringing. "You go answer that. I'm going to print this out. We need to talk to the girls about this to see if they know anything about it. Who knows, they could actually help us out you know." Jesse said and sat at the computer, printing out what he felt was important.

"Good then you'll take it over to Radiance and start with her. I need to go check on Faida." He said looking at his phone as he spoke. "Look we need their help. Either kill the girl or make up with her I don't care anymore. But she is your problem to deal with at the moment not mine. But you know you two might get alone better than you think. I mean she is ignoring the crap out of everyone so I'm sure you two can do it together long enough to help get this solved. So be a Man grow a pair and a back bone and make the women talk to you long enough to find out what she knows. If you wont to borrow my gun feel free just clean up the mess when your done. I honestly don't care with you anymore. You have blown this way out of proportion. And I wont you to know I'm mad at you as well. But I'm mad because of what you said. You know what you have Faida and I here and Nancy and we are just as much your family as your..you know what no we are even more your family than your family. And sadly you know what Radiance was to! You said you care about your family well your tearing this one apart. Nancy, I , Faida we are all tire of you moping around and avoiding everything and everyone. If the others wont say it I will. Things should have never emasculated to this. All you had to bloody say was I"M SORRY!!!!!! and then explain your side Radiance would have been fine. But no you chose to be a pain. Now go talk to her because I already talked to Nancy and she said you can't return to your job until you talk to her. Oh and here's the signs contract that Nancy signed. You two where better together. We all do and say things we don't mean. You are selfish though because you haven't even thought about this through Radiance point of view. Stupid she is new to dating to and to men. Remember her and Faida where at boarding school. Now I'm done with this. But you sir are going to that pink house and either make friends or kill a girl I don't care witch one at this point. I need to be with Faida. " He said throwing the signed paper at Jesse that Nancy had signed.
"And by the way your service has sucked lately at the dinner. Just so you know. After this I still need you for the waterfalls thank you." He said heading out the door.

Lex picked up his phone as he called Faida. He had missed her call but he was going to get in touch with her. He headed for the station knowing she was on duty and if he couldn't get a hold of her on her cell phone the Sheriff would have a CB radio he could use that would get him in touch with her. He ran for almost four blocks to get to the station. He was out of breath as he walked in and looked around noticing how empty it ways. He looked up as he saw the Sheriff point to the girls bathroom from his office. Lex arched a brow but slowly made his way to the girls bathroom. He open the door as he peered in and saw feet from one of the stales he heard crying. "Faida is that you?" He asked as he gently put his hand on the door to open it. However he found it was locked. He looked around at the other stalls and saw they where empty as he stood outside her stale. " Faida whats wrong? What happen? Who messed with you? I'll beat whoever it is up if I need to please just stop crying my Queen and tell me what is wrong and how I can help. " He pleaded not liking hearing her cry one bit.


Radiance sat that the table as she waited for Faida to come through the door however she never did. Radiance sat there as she thought about what Faida had said. She closed her eyes as she played with her food not really in the mood to eat now. She rolled her eyes as she thought about the lunches she had with Jesse and the drive in movies. She missed that but this side of him she saw she would never trust him again. She didn't even really wont to be friends. It wasn't what happen before that bothered her now it was him not coming to even check on her in the hospital that bothered her. He didn't care about her it was obvious. If he had he would have at least came to see how she was. He had a phone he could have called. That is what made Radiance cry again. She sat in the chair with her knees up to her face her arms wrapped around them as she cried. She wished she had never seen this side of him. But she honestly didn't see herself being able to love him or liking him again after this. She had never understood how humans had good and bad natures. But Jesse's bad side she couldn't live with. At least from all of this she learned his true colors. She also learned hers. She would never fall in love with a human again or not the way she had fallen for Jesse. She had saved Baby Ellie and she was sure he would never find that out. She wasn't a monster but maybe to him she would always be. However at this point she wasn't sure if that was a bad thing. Nancy had come by the hospital so had Faida and Lex and even the other people in town. However the one person she had thought would come didn't. She wasn't sure if she meant she didn't wont to see him again when she said it. But apparently after all of this she had been wrong. She had wanted to see him when she woke up. But now after the shock left all she had was anger towards him and sadness.

She looked up finally as she stopped crying having enough of crying to last her the rest of her miserable life. Radiance would forgive Jesse because Faida was right but she didn't wont to be close friends with him ever again. This had shown her who the people she could trust and fully love where. Faida, Lex, the Sheriff, Nancy, and even the staff of the hospital. One of the new doctors had even asked her out on a date. He had given her his card. His name was Matt. He had a wonderful smile and was always curious about learning. He also seemed to have taken a general interest in her. She pulled out the card from her back pocket as she stared at it and the number on it. Maybe he could be a good friend as well. Losing Jesse wasn't the worst thing in the world. She wondered though if Matt would visit her in the hospital or all men where like Jesse. Though she knew that wasn't so. Lex was a good man and he was there just as he would be for Faida or any other person but for Fadia especially.

Radiance looked up as she heard a knock at the door. She walked to the door as she saw one of the nurses there. She smiled as the nurse looked at her seeing the red eyes from where she had been crying. The women looked concerned but held up a beautiful arrangement of flowers for her. It made Radiance smile and laugh as she open the door and welcomed her friend in. The lady declined saying she needed to get to the hospital but that this had been left for Radiance at the front desk last night along with the card and she just wanted to make sure Radiance got it. Radiance hugged her friend and watched her leave waving to her as she left. Radiance smiled as she looked at the beautiful flower arrangement heading back into the house with it and the card. She smiled as she looked over the envelope. Her name was written on it in beautiful handwriting. She smiled as she opened it and saw a lovely card inside. She blushed and giggled as she read it. It was from Matt and it was a thinking of you card. Of course he asked for a date at the dinner with her for lunch tomorrow. She laughed as she rolled her eyes. The guy didn't even know if she would show up or not. She just laughed as she thought about going. She walked up to her room taking the card with her as she started trying on close. She was surprised how lose everything was on her. She knew she looked paler than normal but didn't really think anything of it. She pulled out her latest purchases. It was a little black dress that hugged her frame and had a plunging neckline. She had bought a choker necklace to wear with it along with a pair of stelto heels. She fixed her hair and put on some of the new makeup she had bought and made herself feel beautiful again. She looked in the mirror and smiled happy with her appearance. However she frowned slightly. She had bought this in hopes of wearing it to the drive in movie for Jesse. The thought made her frown. He was the one she had wished to impress. And sadly for some reason deep down inside he was still the only person she wished to wear this for. She headed back down stairs as she fell into her dinning room chair and stared at her half eaten food. She was dressed up and no one to wear it for that her heart would allow her to. Her mind wanted Matt and her heart still wanted Jesse. All she wanted was to be happy.

Jesse gathered up what he had printed and listened to what Lex said. "You don't think I tried to call her?! I tried calling her many times but she never answered. I don't hate her, I like her a lot okay?" he started but decided to keep his words to himself. "Yeah, I'll see you there in a few." he said and practically ran out of the library. Lex was right, he had to apologize even if he wouldn't be with her anymore, and he really just wanted to see her even though he knew that she didn't want to see him. He reached his house and stepped into his car, started it up and drove to Radiance's house. It wasn't long before he got there, and when he did, he took a deep breath before letting it out slowly and walking to her front door then knocked on it. He knew she wouldn't want to answer the door but he needed her help, maybe if she mentioned Lex's name then she would help.

Faida looked up when she heard Lex's voice. Quickly, she opened the bathroom stall door and ran into his arms, burying her face in his chest as she continued to cry. She didn't like being alone, she wanted to be with him all the time, now more than ever. When she had managed to calm down, she looked up at him, frowning. "Radiance ignored me again. I tried to get her to talk to Jesse and she didn't want to but asked for forgiveness when she wasn't going to forgive him and I cannot handle it anymore! I do not know who she is anymore but she is not the Radiance I know as my friend, she frightens me. I do not know what to do Soldier.." she explained as fresh tears formed in her eyes. "I miss my best friend and now she is gone." she added sadly.

Radiance got up as she heard a Knock at the front door. "Faida did you forget your keys again? " She asked opening the door and froze as she saw Jesse there. She stood there frozen for a while unable to speak. " Your not Faida." She finally managed to say as she looked down at the cement. She closed her eyes as she took in a deep breath and gathered her courage. She open her eyes as she looked Jesse dead in the eyes before hanging her head again. "I'm sorry for my actions and not asking you before I got upset about your actions. I should have asked your meaning behind it before I got upset. I've hurt a lot of innocent people because I was so angry with you. It hurt most that you didn't even come to see me in the hospital. I really didn't think words where that strong. It really hurts that strangers came to see me and the one person I thought would be there wasn't. But that is the price of words. Because of my actions the one person I wanted wasn't there. So in the end I hurt my self the worst. I am sorry for the pain I caused you as well. And don't worry I sent your sister the items I promised her. So she should be happy with you for a while longer. " Radiance said her voice shook a little from nerves as she moved from the door way to allow him in. " If your looking for Faida I'm not sure where she is. I think I upset her with my words again. So you may be waiting here a while. I have pancakes, eggs, and sausage if you would like some. I already set four places any how. " Radiance said as she walked into the kitchen again. She looked over at the flower arrangement as she smiled softly before taking her seat at the dinning room table.

She knew she had done the right thing but she still felt like crap. However at least no one could fault her for not trying. She looked down at her half eaten food as she started to eat it again. She wondered what brought Jesse over. She was sure it wasn't anything to do with her. Maybe he was here to apologize to Faida like she had tried to earlier.

Lex held Faida as he gently kissed the top of her head softly rubbing her back trying to help comfort her. " Clam down Faida everything will be ok. " He said as he smiled at her softly. " Now stop crying your face is to pretty for you ruin with tears. " He said as he brushed them away and peered into her eyes softly lifting her chin to him. " You haven't lost anything yet Faida. Radiance and Jesse are stubborn but they will work it out. I have a feeling that those two don't realize how their actions are effecting everyone else. I know Radiance wouldn't like you crying and she would do anything to make you happy. Just because those two blow us off doesn't mean they don't hear us. They are like kids and today we are their parents. When kids don't want to hear or do something they act like Radiance and Jesse. However when it comes down to it they remember what their parents say and in the end it all works out. " Lex said as he gently kissed her forehead.

"Now my Queen we are going to stop crying and we are going to clean you up and take you out. I can't stand to see you this upset. " He said as he gently helped her up and walked over to the sink. He wet a few paper towels then used them on her face. He smiled once he was done. " You knot that looks much better but there is still something missing. " He said as he leaned in and kissed her on the cheek. " That beautiful smile of yours." He said as he gently took her hand and lead her out of the bathroom. " Come on my Queen we are going to go see if we can't find that beautiful smile of your and enchanting laugh."

Jesse frowned but nodded, "I know I'm not Faida, sorry to disappoint." he answered softly. He was about to speak when Radiance spoke up. Listening to her, he felt the urge to hug her, but decided it was best not to since he wasn't sure what sort of relationship they had anymore. "Radiance.." he started and sighed. "I didn't visit because you said you never wanted to see me again, so I was only doing as you commanded me to. I did call you though. I called plenty of times but you never answered." he explained and ran his hand through his hair. "I really wanted to see you, I really wanted to visit you and stay there with you until you got better. But everytime I told myself I would go, I remembered what you said." he added sadly. Walking into the house, Jesse shook his head. "I came to talk to you about two things. The first one is about us and the second is about your help. Lex and I really need your help with a case right now. But before I get into that, I need to know where we stand even though I think I already know. I know what we had will never be retrieved, and I know for a fact you don't want to see me right now but I needed to see you. I needed to see you to say that I'm sorry." Jesse said.

"I'm sorry for upsetting you, it was never my intention. I should have ignored the text and just payed more attention to you. I know that apologizing won't make what I did go away, and I'm not asking you to forgive me. I'm just letting you know that I am very sorry. I...I was a fool to do what I did and to say what I said. I just want you to be happy and if that means I have to stay away from you, then tell me now so I can do that." he added.

Faida blinked and looked up at Lex in surprise at his compliments, blushing brightly. Why did he have this effect on her? What did it mean? She would have to talk to the sheriff about it, maybe he would know. Maybe Lex was right, maybe Jesse and Radiance would work things out, but when? How much longer would she have to look at Radiance in her new state? Faida wanted the old Radiance back. "I hope you are right soldier, I hope they do make up because I miss my friend and I am sure she misses him just as much as he misses her." Faida noted as she followed Lex to the sink and allowed him to clean her face. Faida blinked a few times and blushed once more at the kiss on her cheek. Nodding, she was silent as she followed Lex out of the bathroom. Hopefully some time out just with him would help her calm down, she really did enjoy being around him.

Radiance was surprised to hear what Jesse had to say. She couldn't stand it anymore as she put her fork down and stood up walking over to him and hugged him tightly. She closed her eyes her heart feeling happy for once. It felt good as she just held him. She didn't say anything not sure about them. Her mind didn't wish to trust Jesse but her heart wanted Jesse it wanted her Kia. Radiance thought about what Faida had said and the Sheriff and some of the others before she finally spoke. " I don't know where we are or where we stand. But it's stupid to throw it away. So if you are willing to try then so am I. Besides I'm to use to you. " She said as she let go and laughed softly as happy tears feel from her eyes. " I want lie I was thinking about trying to move on. But my heart wouldn't let me. I had got a offer for a date and the flowers there. I went to put this own and the only thing I wished was it for you instead. I miss our movie dates with the others and our meals with each other and Nancy. I miss Nancy. I miss you too. I haven't turned my phone on since that night because I only used it for you. In the hospital I had no access to it. By the time I got home it had been about three weeks so I figured we where done and I was just going to write you off. Witch was wrong on my part. " She said hanging her head in shame. " How can I help you and Lex." She asked softly.

Lex smiled as he lead her his an Jesse's house. He took her around back to his make shift work Shop. " So first you get to see the giftI've been working on for you. Then I'm going to get us some beers or Wine and fix us a lunch and we are going to take it to the drive in movie and have ourselves a movie and picnicked. The manager owes me a favor so I think today would be a good day to call it in. And if your good I'm thinking ice cream at the Dinner. " He said as he opened the shed up for her to enter. "Now be careful it's small and full of wood and tools." He warned.

Jesse watched as Radiance approached him and then hugged him. This was a nice surprise and he let out a sigh of relief, his arms wrapping around her slender frame as he just held her there close to him. "Of course I'm willing to try Radiant, I want what we have to work out. I want you to be happy, and I'm going to try my best to make sure you're always happy." he whispered softly. He still felt terrible for not visiting her at the hospital but there was nothing he could do about it now. When she pulled away and started to cry, Jesse frowned and wiped away her tears. "Please don't cry." he said softly. Hearing that she had planned to go on a date with someone else stung, but he didn't say anything. "I miss all that too." he admitted and smiled warmly. "You look lovely today. I'm sorry I didn't visit you at the hospital but I hope you're feeling even a little bit better now that you're out." he commented and looked at the papers in his hand. "Well it's about the Mr. Wright case." he started and went on to explain the details given to him by Lex. "So Lex and I went to the library to look through the older books online and we saw some interesting stuff which I printed out and want you to see." he explained, handing her the papers.

Faida followed Lex in silence, enjoying the feel of the warm sun against her skin. Following him over to the back of the house, she was careful not to get hurt and slowly entered the shed. The smell of wood greeted her and her eyes looked around, focusing on an armoire. "Oh! Is that for me?" she asked and quickly walked over to it, her fingers running along the smooth wood. "Oh my Soldier, it's beautiful!" she gasped and grinned, quickly walking back to him and hugging him. "Thank-you so much, I love it!" she said happily and without thinking, kissed his cheek, blushing brightly when she realized what she did.

Radiance smiled as she nodded as she peered over his shoulder at the papers. " It's old fold lore mainly. The shrine is the oldest thing the town has. Most of those records are for it. " She said as she looked at the pages. "Wait the last parts are wrong. Look there are family lines kept here in this one. I bet this is what they where after. The records go back to the building of the Shrine to now. " She said pointed at the Sheriffs name and his family line. There are many people listed here. Why would they want theses books? " She asked focusing on the task at hand. She turned though as she smiled at him softly. "You are very handsome yourself." She said smiling looking back to the papers. " Very strange indeed."

Lex smiled and was surprised as Faida kissed his cheek. He smiled happily then kissed her back though on the lips. He gently caressed her face. He then smiled as he looked at her. "I'm glad you like it. So how about we go make our lunch. You can pick your poison." He said as he remembered there was no Beer in the house nor wine. However he was sure that they didn't need need it. He hoped that she didn't mind the kiss nor the fact she would have to have soda juice or water.

"I don't know why they would want this. My theory is that the men who kidnapped Mr. Wright, are probably after someone who is mentioned in the books. I still don't know who yet though." he explained and took her hand, leading her to the couch where he sat with her and looked through the papers. He looked at the information then remembered the pictures and looked for them. He needed Radiance to see them, that way she could explain who these angels were. "We learned about some angels, one who's name was Zandra and another was Faida. Interesting don't you think?" he asked and frowned. "I don't know why anyone would want to harm angels when angels help us humans out don't you agree?" Jesse asked.

Faida visibly swooned when Lex kissed her lips. That was something new, but it felt really nice. Smiling back at him, Faida nodded and kept her arms wrapped around him in a hug. "I think that is a good idea Soldier, I am looking forward to it very much, I always enjoy spending time with you." she confessed and blushed. What had gotten into her?

Radiance blushed softly as he took her hand and lead her to the couch. She sat there as she listen to him and thought about what he said. She stared at the pictures for a moment and looked right at him as if they where nothing that important. " Yes they are lore. I read the old books most kids do. Humans haven't hunted for angels like them in many eons. It would be sad though because angels can't fight back. If they love humans they couldn't bring themselves to harm them." She said softly as she found herself resting against Jesse. She felt a slight cool breeze as she suggled up closer to Jesse. She open and closed her eyes as she yawned. She felt herself starting to daze in and out. "I think.....the long hours are catching up to .......m...e. " Radiance said as she drifted off to sleep snuggled up to Jesse. She slept for once in peace a soft smile on her face due to having Jesse back.

"Then lets go see what we have to make our lunch. I can cook here or we can make something that we don't need to cook." he said as he lead her into the house. He lead her to the kitchen as he looked around and open the fridge trying to see what they had and what he could make. " Maybe I should make you a good sausage dog with pepper and onions. Or we could make just about any pasta dish. Or soup really just about anything you would like. So my dear Queen what shall we have? I even have enough to make homemade pizza if you like."

"Really? I thought that angels fought back if they had to." Jesse admitted and looked at her as she rested against him. "Radiant, you shouldn't overwork yourself. Remember what you told me? I had to do things other than work all the time and now it's my turn to tell you the same thing." he reminded but Radiance was fast asleep by then. Chuckling, Jesse kissed her cheek and quickly texted Lex, explaining what had just happened. He didn't plan on going anywhere, he was just going to watch over Radiance as she slept, he didn't want to leave her alone.

Faida nodded and followed him back to the house. Listening to the menu they had for the day, Faida thought carefully about what she wanted. "The first item sounds interesting and I would really like to try it." she informed and walked into the kitchen where she watched him carefully. She hoped to one day make him some food, she was sure he would like that surprise. She just had to figure out what to make him. "Do you have a favorite meal and drink?" she asked sweetly. Faida really wanted to do something for him, he had done so much for her.

Radiance slept peacefully for a hour or two. When she finally started to wake she found she felt refreshed. She smiled as she saw Jesse still there and nuzzled him softly as she smiled wrapping her arms around him happy to have him still. She thought about Jesse and then the two men Jesse had talked about. Why would they be after her or Faida. She figured they where after the lake and they could have it. As long as they didn't harm anyone else she didn't care. However she honestly doubted any humans would really believe the stories. The stories where no different from King Aurthur and Avalon. Radiance smiled as she looked up to Jesse and laughed softly. " I'm sorry for falling asleep on you. But it's the best sleep I've had in weeks. And your not a boring person. I've been taking extra shifts so I wouldn't have to be alone with my thoughts. I guess I was modeling myself after you. " She said as she smiled and laughed softly.

Lex smiled as he looked to Faida. "I love nachos and cheese with a good beer." He said being honest as he started pulling out the sausage links along with the buns. He grabbed some fresh red and orange bell peppers along with a onion. "Sorry I have Chicken sausages for us. I don't really like pork. " He said as he turned on the oven placing the links on a broiler pan and sliding them into the oven to cook. He then pulled out a sauce pan and started cutting up the peppers and onions. He poured in a little grape seed oil into the pan and then the peppers and onions. He stirred the mixture in the pan till the onions where translucent and the peppers had a few marks from being cooked. He turned off the stove top taking the pan off the burner and putting it on one of the cool ones. He then got out two plates, cheese, and mayo. He started to fix his putting mayo cheese in the bun. He stopped as he went to the stove and grabbed a pot holder pulling the sizzling links from the oven. He placed the pan on one of the cool burners then turned the oven off. He grabbed his plate as he placed one of the links in his pun on top of the cheese and lastly put the mixture of peppers and onions on his own sausage dog. He smiled as he took his to the table. He pulled out the chips and put them on the table for him and Faida as he looked to her. " Alright so what do you wand on yours? There is enough for us each to have four of these a piece so don't worry about not getting full. " He said as he smiled.

(So sorry it took so long. I have been working on pokemon today. I was in the middle of this post and a friend threw up a 6IV perfect Shiny Eevee. I lost all my self restraint and had to trade with him. Eevee is my weakness because of all the different pokemon it can evolve into. )

Jesse blushed when he saw Radiance looking at him. It meant she caught him watching her, he couldn't help it, she looked cute when she slept. His arms wrapped around her, holding her close and he chuckled. "You don't need to be sorry Radiant, I know the feeling of working yourself to the bone, it's not a good feeling." he said and smiled. "Well I'm flattered, but you're the one that said I shouldn't focus only on work, so now I'm telling you the same thing. I love working and I know you do too, but it's not healthy to work such long hours. You need to give yourself a break every now and then." he explained and kissed her cheek. "Just don't push yourself too hard Radiant." he said to her.

Faida made a mental note of this, she was going to try and surprise him with that someday. Hopefully she didn't mess it up somehow. "Oh it is okay soldier, I do not very much like pork." she admitted and smiled. While Lex cooked, Faida watched him carefully as he prepared everything with ease, it was very interesting to watch someone cook. The smell that filled the kitchen was a lovely one and she couldn't wait to try this dish he had prepared for them. When Lex had finished, Faida smiled as she watched him prepare his plate then blinked when he asked her what she wanted. "Oh..." she said and smiled, "Everything please?" she asked wondering if that was okay. Or maybe she was supposed to ask for a specific thing?

((Oh man I haven't played pokemon in forever! That's really cool though!))

Radiance smiled as she laughed softly hearing what Jesse said. She gave him a devilish grin as she wrapped her arms around his neck. " Ah so now your giving the advice. Well I'm afraid you need a break as well and that sir is doctors orders." She said smiling at him. " So what do we do now? We both have burned bridges in our hurt and anger. And we both had atonement for our actions. " Radiance asked her smile gone as she thought about Faida and Lex. She thought about his sister and the Temple. She wondered if she should tell him she was the angel. However she wasn't sure she could trust him. And in all honesty she didn't wish to lose him again.

"I didn't peg you for a religious man. Honestly I didn't peg Lex either. You seem to believe the stories of the angels. Remember that all myth and folk tales have some grain of truth. Now the angels could be real but do you think they are going to be that easy to find? You know it may have been true at one time. And maybe the angels left. If anything I doubt anyone would really believe in the old stories. I mean have you heard any reports of people being healed by water from the shrine or by tears? The stories say that if a angel of healing heals a human they will never be stricken of sickness again. Only mortal wounds and old age it's self will kill them. Now tell me have you heard of that? It's just stories if there was magic water here don't you think there wouldn't be a need for doctors and the hospital?" Radiance said as she smiled up at Jesse. " If your going to research this then maybe you should go through records and see if there are any cases of miraculous healing. And look at the shrine if you can get near it. Sadly the weather lately seems to be a little weird. But I'm sure in a few days the path to the shrine will be clear. " Radiance said as she smiled at him. " Or you could spend the time with me and the others. However if this means so much to you and Lex I can dig into the files at the hospital and see what I come up with. You know if your looking for two strangers why not talk with the maids or some of the people employed as janitorial staff in town. Sadly most people don't give them the time of day so they see and hear things. " She said trying to think if there way anything she could do to help him without reveling herself or Faida.

Lex laughed as he watched her reaction to his simple question. " Don't sounds so confused. I'm not aware of your food likes and dislikes is all. Some people don't like peppers and others do. I asked because I wasn't sure if you really wish to have everything on yours like I have on mind. Not many people like mayo on theirs that is why I asked." He said as he fixed her one and took it to the table. He poured them both a cup of juice and took a seat at the table. " I do have a favor to ask of you. I know you don't like caring your fire arm with you however will you do so for me. I have a bad feeling that someone is up to something here. The crimes lately are strange and bazaar. It would just make me feel better if you kept it with you is all I ask." He said as he smiled at her not really wishing to go into details about the case. " Besides I can't always be with my Queen. I need to know she is safe when I'm not there. What kind of soldier would I be if I didn't make sure my Queen wasn't safe?" He asked as he grinned at her giving her a devilish smile.

Jesse blushed brightly and kept his arms wrapped around Radiance's waist. "W-well you don't have to follow them if you don't want to. I..I just don't think it's healthy to overwork yourself Radiant." he said and chuckled. "Doctor's orders huh? Well I wouldn't want to disobey you, Doctor." he answered and raised an eyebrow. "Well I do want to spend more time with you Radiant. I've missed spending time with you. As cheesy as it sounds, I've been a mess since we broke up. My room is a mess, I haven't cared about cleaning as much as I used to and apparently my service at work sucks." Jesse explained honestly.

He figured there was no reason for him to not tell her this. "Well I guess you learn something new everyday don't you?" Jesse asked and smiled. "I believe in angels and I also believe that angels never allow any human to see them, and I understand why. If humans saw an angel they would freak out. If I saw one, I wouldn't do anything. Actually, I think it would be really nice to see an angel someday. I've always wondered what they would be like. I know they are kind and want to protect us always. You know, we all have an angels with us at all times keeping us safe which I think is really cool." he explained. "What you say makes sense. If there is such a thing as healing water then there should be no reason for doctors but perhaps that healing water is just really well hidden." Jesse suggested.

"A favor?" Faida repeated as she looked at Lex while tucking a lock of her hair behind her ear. Listening to what he was asking for, her eyes widened slightly. He wanted her to carry her gun with her at all times?! Faida did not want to have a gun near her, it was very dangerous but she was trained in using it now so she shouldn't be too afraid. Smiling, she nodded at Lex. "I understand soldier, and I promise to carry it with me everywhere at all times. You can rest easy, I will be okay." she assured. It was nice to know that he worried about her so much, she just hoped she didn't worry him too much. "I know you cannot be with me at all times and that upsets me. I know it should not but it does and I apologize if that is a bad thing." Faida answered before grabbing a chip and eating it happily. It was nice to enjoy this little dinner with Lex.

Radiance smiled as she heard him. She stared at him contently as she heard his reply. He really was a special human. Not many would admit their feelings as open as he did. However Radiance wondered if he truly would be happy to meet a angle. Not all where beautiful after helping humans. " You are really kind. I'm sure you have many angels watching over you now, even if you aren't aware of it. " She said as she smiled softly at him. " Maybe one day you'll get your wish. " She said referring to his wish to meet a angel. "You could be right about the healing water. However I wouldn't suggest you go wondering around the shrine to look for it alone. If what you and Lex said is correct the people in question might shoot you for inter fearing with their plan whatever it is." She said as she looked a little concerned for him. "Promise me you wont go to the shrine. I don't wont you hurt. Besides we need to clean your room after all." She said smiling and laughing hoping that it would lighten the mood.

Radiance stopped laughing as she thought about what he said. " I was a mess as well. I upset Faida and stopped trying to do anything around here. I stopped doing anything other than working. But I did manage to cook today and to get dressed up. And to say I'm sorry to you. I am sorry for getting upset. I missed you terribly. " She said as she thought about he past week. " I wonder what I can do to make it up to you and to Faida. I never meant to hurt anyone. But at lest we both learned a lesson. I learned to ask you before I assume. And that anger can only hurt everyone around you and even yourself rather you know it or not. "


Lex paused as he looked up from his food hearing what she said. He stared at her for a moment going to reply however as he watched her eat. He couldn't help but smile enjoying just seeing her happy. He sat there as he thought about her words and what he had tried to explain to her earlier in the day. " Faida I know what you mean. I feel the same way for you. I have been trying to figure out how to express what I feel for you in words. You aren't like most girls I know. But I like that about you. You know how Jesse and Radiance feel for one another. Where you and I and everyone else can see they are meant to be together? What I was trying to say earlier and for a while is I feel that way about you. " He admitted as he looked back to his plate staying down at it searching for the right words.

"You see I feel upset when any other man looks at you in any other way than wishing to just to be your friend. I get upset when I see guys falling for you wishing to make you their girl. I don't like when your upset no matter why. I don't like you any way but happy and I try my best to keep you that way. However I am aware I fail most of the time in that department. I want to be your guy. I want to be the one you love. I want to be the one who you look to for comfort and enjoy spending time with. I want to be the one you look forward to spending every second with. I want to be here for you in sickness and health and to have the honor of just being with you. You are the special girl I see myself with twenty years from now and hopefully longer. " He said hoping that she understood what he was saying to her. He gave up trying to explain himself as he got up and walked over to where Faida sat. He bent down and gently kissed her on the lips closing his eyes and letting his feelings for her show with his kiss. He had waited until she was done with her bite of course being thoughtful before kissing her.

Jesse shrugged and smiled back at her. "Perhaps you're right Radiant." Jesse answered and nodded at her request. After being away from her for so long, Jesse found himself wanting to make up for lost time and that meant making her happy however he could. "I'll stay away from the Shrine Radiant, don't you worry." he promised and nodded. He knew she had a point. The men were still out there somewhere and probably wouldn't hesitate to hurt either him or Lex if they saw them. "I promise Radiant. No one is going to hurt me, I hope not anyway." he admitted and laughed at her comment about his room. "Oh dear, it might take a while to clean it but it will get done eventually." Jesse added softly and kissed her cheek.

"You should probably talk to her and apologize. You two are so close so I'm sure she will accept your apology." Jesse suggested. He could tell just how close the two girls were, they were practically like sisters really. "It's understandable, you were upset and people cope with anger differently it's okay. What matters is that we learn from it all and try to keep it from happening again. We don't want to hurt our friends, family, or loved ones again." Jesse explained and smiled sadly. "I missed you a lot too radiant, I'm so happy to be here with you right now." he confessed and shook his head. "You don't have to make up anything to anyone. A simple heartfelt apology will do just fine." Jesse answered.

Faida continued to eat her meal quietly and happily. It was nice of Lex to do this for her and she couldn't help but wonder what Radiance was up to. She didn't want to go back to the house though, she was afraid. Snapping out of her thoughts, Faida listened to Lex explain what he felt to her and smiled warmly. He was being very sweet, she never knew he felt this way about her, she would have never guessed until he told her. So Lex liked her? The same way that Jesse and Radiance liked each other? Faida never thought anyone would be telling her this and she smiled. It was a nice feeling she felt hearing this.

Faida honestly never noticed other men looking at her, perhaps that was for the best though but it obviously bothered Lex and that saddened her. She didn't want him to be bothered because of her. "You do not fail." she said softly and continued to listen to Lex talk and explain his feelings towards her. It was slightly confusing since she thought that she already did all of that. She did enjoy spending time with him, a lot and had been looking for comfort from him ever since Radiance change but maybe that's not what he meant. She was about to speak again but felt his lips on hers. Her eyes widened in surprise momentarily before they relaxed and closed as she found herself kissing him back gently.

Radiance blushed as she felt Jesse kiss her face. She smiled softly hearing what he had to say. "Thank you Kia, I will do so. Honestly I'm just happy to be here with you as well. " She said as she leaned over and kissed his cheek softly. The action made Radiance blush even brighter as she sat back and enjoyed his company. She thought about the past weeks letting them fade to the back of her memory as she sat there enjoying Jessie now. The thought made her smile as she looked over to him. " We have a garden outside and our bedrooms are upstairs. I know you didn't get to see much last time. I could show you around if you like. And the Kia I know will have that room of his cleaned up be no time." She said as she smiled warmly at him. " I'm just so happy to have you back. I have honestly missed you. I loved your piano playing at your sisters. " She said thinking about the song he played. "Maybe for christmas I'll have to get you a key board or piano. I'm just not sure where you would put the Piano. " Radiance said as she thought about it.

Lex was surprised when Faida kissed him back. His mind went blank other than enjoying the sweet kiss. He wrapped his arm around her in a loving manner. He couldn't help but smile as the kiss ended as he stared into Faida's beautiful eyes. " Your beautiful Faida. And I care about you very much. I hope that you know that now. " Lex said as he smiled at her and gently kissed her fore head in a loving manner. He looked back to his plate of food and pulled it over next to Faida as he took a sit next to her not wishing to be away from her. He gave her a devilish smile before taking his seat beside her and started to eat. He felt better finally being able to tell her how he felt.

Lex smiled from ear to ear as he ate. It was easy to see this was one of the happiest days of his life. He finally got to tell Faida how he had felt for a long time. Lex felt on top of the world and for once didn't let his worries over shadow his good time with Faida. He wasn't sure what would happen with them but he didn't care. For today he had Faida and that was what he cared about.

Jesse blushed softly at the kiss and laughed softly. "I'm happy to be here too Radiant. I worried about you all the time. I...I wrote some music to play someday but none of it is happy. I didn't have a reason to be happy when I wrote them." Jesse explained, but now he did. "I do now though, so once I clean my place up, I'll write some happy music. Maybe I'll play them for you sometime. If you would like me to anyway." he explained nervously. Radiance always made him nervous, but he guessed that was a good thing. Listening to what she said, he nodded and smiled. "Yes, I'll get it all cleaned up in no time. I would love to see the house. It looks really nice from what I can see." he said, looking around at the living room. His eyes focused back on Radiance when she mentioned getting him a piano for Christmas. "Oh...w-well you don't have to Radiant. I don't have any room, but who knows I might just move into a bigger place." Jesse replied softly. He liked having Lex with him but Lex would probably want to live in a place of his own. If that happened, Jesse would see if he could afford to move into a bigger place.

Faida gently reached up and ran her slender fingers through his soft hair gently, blushing brightly when the kiss had ended. Hearing Lex's words, Faida smiled and nodded. "I know you do Lex, and that makes me feel very happy and warm inside." she answered honestly. Was what just happened normal? She believed so, it was probably obvious to anyone who saw them that both of them cared a lot about each other. Faida smiled and looked back to her own plate, eating her food happily. Faida looked over at Lex from time to time and giggled softly, seeing just how happy he was. She made him that happy? It was nice to know she could make someone so happy to the point that they confess their feelings to her. "I care about you very much too Lex." she whispered and continued eating. Taking sips of her drink and just enjoying the time they were spending together.

Radiance smiled as she heard him." I would love to hear your music. " She said as she paused hearing what he had to say about a bigger house. She looked a little confused as she thought about what he said. " Why do you need a bigger place? I mean I thought there was enough room for you and Lex in your current house. " She said as she thought about his house from the short time she had been there. " If Lex left for a reason why would you need a bigger place? I assumed your house was perfect for you the size it is. If you get a bigger house want you be lonely? If you one to big you could get lost in it. I guess if you got a bigger one you would have to get a pet so you wouldn't be alone. I would come visit if you like and help you clean. A bigger house would mean more cleaning. " She said as she thought about what kind of house he would like. "I never say you as a big house kind of person." She admitted as she thought about Kia in a big house all alone. "I don't like the idea of you in a big house alone. It makes me sad. But if a bigger house makes you happy then I'm happy" She said as she smiled at him.

Lex smiled as he heard what Faida had to say. "I'm glad my Queen. " He said as he sat there finishing his meal. One he was done he sat there staring at her. He gently took her hand as he held it enjoying just being with her. Lex thought about what he could do to make Faida's day better. " Well I promised to make you feel better. So what should be do next? I believe I owe you a ice cream and maybe we could find our way to the drive in movie or to one of the farms.
