Rinoa blinked a few times and removed her hand from the barrier. Then she walked over to Christian and sat beside him. "Okay, I will go home with you." She said quietly. Rinoa gazed at the grass beneath her for a bit before standing up and flapping her wings again. She wondered if she could still fly, since Christian mentioned her flying into a tree once. Rinoa could feel her wings flapping, but she wasn't moving so she tried a little harder. Finally she started to hover, so she let her wings slow down a little and she flew in small circles near Christian.

"Alright then. The soul should be here once everything is sorted out." Christian started and chuckled softly when he saw her flying around in circles near him. At least she was able to still fly, maybe she hadn't fallen as deep as he thought. "Come along Rinoa, we both need to get some rest. It's been a pretty long day." he said and took her small hand in his gently, walking back to his house with her. He had never brought anyone home before, he just hoped she could sleep comfortably.

Rinoa blinked when Christian spoke to her about going home. She landed on the grass and let him take her hand. She walked beside him as they walked back to his house and she looked around with curious empty eyes, her little wings flapping just enough to say they were moving. But only for a short time, they rested soon after. The sky was dark, almost black, like her wings, but she also saw little white dots up in sky. Little specs of light. She moved her gaze back to Christian. "Where did..we first meet...?" She asked quietly. Yes, she knew him and had left an imprint on him, but their meeting was quite vague.

"Where did we meet?" Christian repeated and looked down at her. "Well I was returning home from doing my grocery shopping and you were the ground crying. No one was doing anything so I approached you, and you said that you had run into a scary guy and when you tried to get away from him, you ran into a post and fell." he said and smiled at the memory. That was the first time we saw each other. The second time we met was when you were stuck in the tree." he added and opened up his front door for her. "In you go Rinoa." he said softly.

Rinoa tilted her head a little as Christian spoke about their first and second meetings. A smirk tugged at her thin lips for a moment before fading as they approached his house. She nodded and walked inside where she waited away from the door so that he had room do get inside. Her eyes scanned the area for a moment before she went wandering around the house. This was the first time she had ever stepped foot inside of a house on Earth. She was curious. After a bit of walking around the house, she sat down on the couch. She couldn't help but bounce just a little on the couch, then she stopped and leaned back into the couch.

Stepping inside, Christian closed and locked the door behind him. He watched as Rinoa walked around and smiled slightly when she bounced on his couch. "Sorry for the mess on the table, I was drawing earlier today." he explained and started to put away his things, taking them back to his room. "Are you tired?" he asked her when he returned to the living room.

Rinoa glanced at the table, then shook her head. "What were you drawing?" She asked, then looked down at the couch cushions for a moment before laying down and looking up at Christian, nodding lightly. "The couch is soft..." She said quietly, putting a hand on the pillow under her head.

Christian smiled. "A dream of sorts." he replied simply. "I won't bore you with the details though, let's get you to bed." he said and picked her up in his arms, taking her up to his room and laying her down in his bed. "Get some sleep okay?" he said and picked up his started drawing. Quickly he grabbed a few colors he would need, pens, and pencils and looked at her. "I'll be in the kitchen finishing up the drawing. I'll go to sleep on the couch so don't worry. If you need anything tell me, and if I'm sleeping just wake me up." he instructed and smiled softly. "Goodnight and sweet dreams Rinoa." he said and left the room, closing the door behind him before heading to the kitchen to work.

Rinoa stared up at him with almost innocent eyes as he carried her to his room. When he laid her down on the bed, she curled up and "cuddled" to the fluffy pillow. She nodded to him lightly and watched him walk out of the room. When he closed the door, she curiously glanced around the room, rolling around in the bed as she did so. Rinoa soon fell asleep, and when she did- she was awoken with the nightmares of being locked up with the demons a few hours later. She sat up in the bed and she stared in the nothing with empty eyes.

After a few moments of sitting there, she slowly climbed out of the bed and went over to open the door. Maybe Christian had gone to sleep? She wondered silently. Rinoa silently walked through the house to see if she could find Christian and ask to sleep in the same room as him- or to watch him draw.

"At the top of the hill...there's a well. And then...the village at the bottom." Christian whispered to himself as he continued to draw out a nice looking scene. It looked to be an abandoned village or town, with a single steep hill close by. At the top of that hill was a well, nothing else. He quietly added dead trees and dirt paths before adding one person running towards the him with a large group chasing that person close behind, fires were also drawn on some of the houses and trees. When the sketch was done, Christian yawned and started to color everything in. The sky was a dark blue, with white stars and a white full moon. The grass looked black from the fires, and the trees where a mixture of grey and black. The fires were a bright orange with bits of yellow and red, the houses were dark brown with grey roofs and the person running was a demon with humans chasing after him in their night clothes. Once the coloring was done, he began to ink it carefully and sighed softly. He heard a noise and looked up to see Rinoa wandering around. "Rinoa what's wrong?" he asked as he worked.

Rinoa paused when she heard Christian's voice and looked over at him. "Couldn't sleep..." She said quietly as she slowly walked over to him where he was now painting, trying to forget the nightmare. Rinoa tilted her head at the painting as she examined it. The detail she could see was enough to impress even a shell like herself.

"Couldn't sleep huh?" he repeated and frowned as he continued to work on his drawing. "I know that feeling." he added and glanced at her, "Was it a nightmare?" he asked curiously while he continued to work on his art. Christian didn't draw all the time, but this nightmare stood out, and now it would always stand out. There was no point in trying to forget it, he could never forget it since it always came back to haunt him and now it would do just that all the time he looked at the drawing. "We both need to sleep though. Tomorrow we can go somewhere you'd like. We can go get something to eat if you want." he said, trying to cheer her up. He knew she wasn't sad, she was just...lost really. When he was finished, he signed it at the bottom with black ink and sighed softly, "Finished finally." he said quietly.

Rinoa rubbed her forearm with the opposite hand and nodded lightly to his question. She looked at him as he talk to her, and glanced back at the painting. "This painting..is a reflection of a nightmare..you were trying to run from..." She said quietly as she gazed at the painting with empty eyes. Rinoa could still hear the screams of the lost echoing in her ears from when she was taken hostage. She had a nightmare that she tried to run from..and look where that got her. A small smirk tugged at the corner of her thin lips as she thought about it, then she shook her head and looked back at Christian, nodding lightly.

She averted her eyes and rubbed her forearm again. "Can I..sleep with you...?" Rinoa asked quietly, meaning in the same room. Certainly not the same bed or anything.

So she had a nightmare, and he could guess what t was about. He just hoped he could bring her back up to the light. He missed her cheerful personality. Her comment about his drawing surprised him. "Y-yes it is. How did you know?" he asked and raised an eyebrow curiously at her. He had to let the drawing dry so he left it on the table and grabbed everything else as he stood. "Sleep with you?" he repeated and chuckled. "I'll see what I can come up with." he said and took her hand in his, leading her back to his room. "Into bed you go Rinoa." he said and yawned softly, tucking her in. "Goodnight and sweet dreams Rinoa." he said softly and sat on the floor, up against the wall as he watched her. "No one is going to hurt you Rinoa, I'll be right here." he said reassuringly.

Rinoa looked at Christian. "I can see it in your eyes..." She said softly, moving her eyes away. "And..I can feel it... When you asked me if I had a nightmare..." Rinoa moved one of her hands so that it was covering the place where her heart would be beating if she wasn't the empty shell she had become. She allowed him to lead her back to the bedroom and gazed at him as he tucked her in. Rinoa watched him move to the floor and slowly closed her eyes as she drifted off into a black sleep.

Her words stuck with him as he watched her sleep peacefully. See it in my eyes...and feel it? he thought to himself and frowned slightly. She was a fallen, but she could still feel emotions? How was that possible? Was that how all fallens felt or was she the only one? He didn't know but maybe Ghost knew. Not that it mattered since he was off fighting a war while he looked after Rinoa. Yawning softly, he lay down on the floor and faced her before closing his eyes and trying his best to get some sleep. A lot had happened this day and they both needed as much sleep as they could get.

She had imprinted him while she was an angel..therefor she could still feel his pain, and worry, and any other emotion he held- even if she didn't quite understand what it was she was feeling, due to being a fallen.

When morning came, the sun peeking through an opened window shinned in her face and she stirred from her sleep. She slowly opened her empty eyes, which could now be seen as a blue so dark it almost looked black. Rinoa shielded her eyes from the light, then took the blankets and covered herself up- as if the light bothered her.

The following morning, Christian opened his grey eyes to see sunlight hitting his face. He quickly shielded his eyes and went to the window, closing the curtains. "I thought I had left them closed...guess I forgot." he muttered to himself and looked over at Rinoa who was now hidden under the blanket of his bed. "Sorry about that Rin." he apologized softly and yawned. "Did you sleep well?" he asked quietly and walked back to where he once sat to watch her.

Rinoa poked her head out from under the blankets when she heard Christian's voice. She nodded lightly and slowly sat up in the bed. "No nightmares." She said quietly. Rinoa pulled the covers back from over her and shifted on the bed so that her legs were hanging over the side of the bed. "What about you?" She asked, moving her eyes to look at him.

"Well that's good to hear." he said and shrugged at her question. "I honestly can't remember. I suppose that's a good thing though." he said and looked at her softly. "You're probably hungry. I'll go make us some breakfast." he said quietly and yawned as he stood up and walked to the kitchen. He still was trying to wrap his head around the fact that she was fallen and that there was a war going on while he just made breakfast. How was he going to bring Rinoa back from the darkness she had been sucked into?

Rinoa tilted her head to the side when he mentioned that he wasn't sure if he had slept good or not, but didn't question him. When he said something about being hungry, she watched him get up and head towards the kitchen, and followed him. She went over and sat down on the couch and starred up at the ceiling for a bit before leaning away from the couch and looking back at her small black wings.

Christian sighed mentally, unsure of what he was going to do, but he'd think of something. Serving the breakfast in two plates, he walked over to the table and set them down across from each other. "Here you go Rinoa. You must be hungry." he said and frowned when he saw her look at her black wings. "Do you remember anything before you became fallen?" he asked her softly. He remembered how much she would smile and how clumsy she was, but what did she remember?

Rinoa blinked and looked at him when he served the two plates and put them on the table. She rose from the couch and sat on the floor so she was closer to the table and could eat without making a mess. Rinoa looked up at him when he questioned her memory, then looked down at the food and began to eat. When she didn't have a mouthful of food, she looked at him. "I remember you..and a light..." She said quietly in a plain voice, then ate a little more of her breakfast.

Christian was surprised to hear that she remembered him. "You remember me?" he repeated and smiled before taking a bite of his food easily. He didn't want her to be stuck like this, so he decided they needed to get out of the house and do something fun. "Is there anywhere you want to go today?" he asked her curiously. Perhaps she had an idea of where to go? Or maybe she just wanted to stay home and talk? He didn't know, but he did want to distract her from her current situation.

Rinoa nodded lightly to his question/ repeated statement. "It's not unusual..I did leave an imprint on you. Remember?" She said softly, then continued to eat. When her plate was clean, she slowly got up and took the plate to the sink and rinsed it off before setting it down in the sink. She glanced back at Christian when he asked about going somewhere. "I would like to get out- but, can it be somewhere where the light won't string?" She asked quietly as she walked back into the living room.
