"Perhaps I can help bring him out of his shell Rosa. I worry about him too and I want to try to help any way I can." Contessa explained after she finished her cooking. "I don't think he should rely on his tonics all the time, doesn't seem healthy." she added and smiled softly. "Don't worry Rosa, I promise to try and help as best as I can. As for the elders, well really don't think they should attend the wedding but there's nothing anyone can do. I just hope the wedding goes smoothly and that we can all have a good time. The elders really should respect that idea and I think that if I find them being rude, I can ask them to leave in a polite manner." she explained. She just hoped that the elders would leave them alone after the wedding, it was crystal clear that Daylen hated them and nothing the elders did or say could change that.

Rosa just nodded to Contessa's words. She agreed with everything she was saying. She would do everything in her powers to make sure they didn't show up after the wedding. Her son and Contessa needed to have a good wedding, the Elders would just ruin it. Daylen wouldn't take it so lightly if they started anything, his powers were still new to him and he seemed more dangerous as vampire then a sorceror. She knew something would happen though and Daylen would be the one hurting someone. He was strong but even the strongest could break. Rosa just smiled softly. "I know you will take good care of my son and he you. I shall see you later, if not tomorrow." She waved softly before vanishing, she had a meeting to get to.

"Goodbye Rosa, see you soon." Contessa replied and waved before heating up some milk in a bowl for no name. Sitting at the table, she started to feed Carolyn some of the first omelet of two. One for her and one for Carolyn. While she fed Carolyn, she made sure to feed no name as well and take a bite herself of her own omelet. "We are going to go visit Daylen after this since I think he could really use someone else to comfort him. I just hope he even allows me to comfort him." Contessa said as she continued feeding them both as any mother would. "Please behave Carolyn. I'll be sure to pack a little bag full of clothesand toys for you just in case we need them. I'm afraid Sprinkles will have to stay, I am not comfortable holding him and I'm sure he won't mind sleeping while we're gone. Besides, I'm sure we won't be gone too long." Contessa commented as she continued eating and feeding both Carolyn and no name.

Raymon just closed the door once more to the study. He would bring Daylen the substitute blood on a regular schedule and everytime he tried to talk to him but no words ever came from Daylen. He sighed lightly. His master was doing so good when Contessa was here, he wished she never left. He just left to tend to his daily task and to clean the glass. Daylen just closed the cabinet, he just finished restocking the tonics for the craving. Miss Claire and Saria had came to visit during the week. They were surprised he succeeded in creating the potion and that instead of Sirus they would be forever with Daylen instead. They would visit both Daylen and Sirus' mausoleum every chance they got, they promised. Daylen just locked the cabinet out of habit. He just looked at the cabinet before returning to the next task. He put on his goggles before grabbing the nearest book. He placed the goggles over his eyes before he began to create the newest invention of his.

"All done, good job goth of you. I'm just going to clean the dishes and then we can get packed to go." Contessa commented once the food and milk had all been finished. Grabbing the empty dishes, Contessa walked to the sink and started to wash the dishes carefully before washing her hands and drying them then picked up no name and Carolyn in her arms as she quickly made her way back to Carolyn's room were she set them both down on her bed and pulled out a bag where she quickly began to fold and place Carolyn's clothes then grabbed both bunnies and the mechanical butterfly and stuffed them in the bag along with a brush. "Okay I think we have everything." Contessa said to Carolyn who was crawling around her room. Slinging the bag over her shoulder, Contessa picked up Carolyn and no name, then went to the front door and made sure it was locked before closing her eyes, thinking of Daylon's manor, and wiggling her nose.

Daylen was melting the metal into molds he needed for the project. It wasn't hard with his father's old equipment. It didn't take long to learn how to use them either. Once that was done he moved to the next task as they cooled. He dug through the drawers looking for the perfect wires needed. This part would take the longest. He slowly began to place wire after wire he thought would work for the item in crafting. He was sorting and going through the wires. He was placing extra wiring up on his desk just in case if one didn't work, he would have a spare. Raymon would check up him from time to time but he never stopped to talk. Daylen didn't feel like talking, his study was becoming cluttered with everything he was making in the last week.

Contessa sighed softly when she appeared at the manor. Looking around, even the atmosphere was gloomy. "It's way too quiet in here." she said to herself and walked around. "Hello? Anyone in here?" she asked motioned at Carolyn to keep quiet as she walked through the house. Knowing Daylen, he was probably cooped up in his study so she decided that was a good place to start. "Take good care of him... for me.", "I know you will take good care of my son and he you." Their words came to her mind and deep down she hoped she could make Daylen happy. "Daylen? Raymon?" Contessa called out and pouted slightly as she walked to Daylen's study and knocked on the door. "Daylen, are you in there?" she called against the door and looked at Carolyn who was looking back at her with big eyes. Looking back at the door, Contessa sighed. "I know you probably don't want to talk, but I came by to check up on you. I've been very worried about you, and your mother informed me of what you're doing. I thought maybe I could help you somehow, even if that means I just have to be quiet and watch you." she said honestly.

Daylen sighed hearing Contessa's voice on the other side of his study door. He just fell back into a sitting position as he listened. He closed his eyes. He wanted to hide from her, not let her see him like this. He knew tomorrow was their wedding day and she would see him but he didn't want her to look at him. The last time he saw her, he frightened her. He shifted into many bats, flying to the ceiling. It was pitch black up there, so she wouldn't see him; the bats form of him at least. She probably could hear the wings fluttered through the door. The basic knowledge of Dorian was that he was always in his study. He hung from the ceiling hiding from her, he didn't want to scare her again. He wasn't sure she would even want to marry him anymore after the last look she gave him. That is why he never contacted her after she left the last time. The look of fear constantly played in his mind.

Contessa frowned and knocked on his door again, but when he didn't answer it was clear to him that he didn't want to talk. "Alright I'll go...I just wanted to make sure you're okay. I'll assume you are then, just probably very busy right?" Contessa asked and frowned. "I'll be around if you ever want to talk Daylen. If not, I'll talk to you tomorrow...unless you don't want to talk then either I'll understand." she said and looked at Carolyn. "Come on you guys let's go, we don't want to bother Daylen." she said softly and walked off toward the solarium where she had planted her flowers. The plants had started to grow overtime which was really nice to see, it brought a smile to her face. "See that Carolyn? Those are going to be a lot of pretty flowers. I'm sure you'll love them when they fully grow." she said and looked up at the gloomy sky as the rain continued to fall.

Daylen just hid in the shadows. He felt bad for hiding from Contessa, he wanted to see her but he didn't want to scare her away again. Though hiding would just chase her away with ill feelings for him. Either way was a losing situation. He sighed in his bat form. Perhaps the second choice was better, but then his brother's lost was for nothing. The bats flew towards the floor forming himself once more. He had been practicing with his abilities when Raymon wasn't around. He had pretty much master the shape shifting. The mind reading he did practice and unknowingly on Raymon. His third was the hardest to train, he never found the trigger yet.

Raymon just stopped seeing Contessa in the solarium with a baby. He was walking back to check on Daylen. "Miss Contessa, a pleasure to see you again. May I ask why are you here and not with Master Daylen?" He asked her while holding the door open.

Contessa smiled when she saw Raymon, "It's very nice to see you too Raymon." she started and frowned at his question. "I don't think Daylen wants to speak with me right now. I tried talking with him but he never said anything, so I assumed he just wants to be alone instead. His mother told me about this, but I can't force him to speak with me of he doesn't want to." she replied sadly. "It is going to take a while to get him to open up again like he had, but I'll work on it. Right now I think space is good. I'll check up on him again after a while, he'll speak eventually. We just have to be patient." she explained and looked at Carolyn. "I'm sorry, Carolyn this is Raymon. Raymon, this is my little sister Carolyn. Say hello Carolyn." Contessa said softly. Carolyn looked over at Raymon and smiled as she played with the skirt of her dress.

Raymon just smiled at Carolyn. She was cute, he nodded to her then turned his attention towards Contessa. "Daylen was like this as a child as well after his father died. You can sit in the study with him but he won't talk. That is how Sirus got him to talk eventually. He sat in the room with him, talking even when Daylen refuse to speak back." He remembered having to rub ointment on Sirus when he got burnt from hugging his brother. "I cured a lot of Sirus' wounds when Daylen accidentally hurt him. If you do the same, I can heal you of any blood lost." He told her softly. He knew a few tricks with vampires and their victims. "I learnt a small trick when Miss Claire accidentally bit Daylen." He told her sweetly, he was trying to assure he she would be fine even if he bit her. He kept Daylen well managed so it would never happen.

Contessa nodded as he spoke, understanding what he was saying. She knew this because Rosa told her, but what she didn't know was that Miss Claire accidentally bit Daylen. Normally she would get jealous but she wasn't the jealous type anyway so it didn't bother her, just surprised her. "Miss Claire bit Daylen in accident?!" Contessa gasped and wondered what that felt like. Did it hurt? Probably. "So you think sitting in the study would get him to talk?" she repeated and thought about it. She really didn't want to interrupt him though, but if that was the best way of keeping him company then she'd do it. She frowned at the mention of Sirus but managed to smile. "Well, I will give your advice a try Raymon, thank-you. If I'm bitten I'll be sure to come to you." she said and chuckled softly then looked at Carolyn. "Let's go say hi to your other uncle." she told Carolyn softly and smoothed out the skirt of her dress. "First impressions are everything." she said to no one in particular.

Raymon just smiled at her and nodded. Raymon believed it would do them both some good. Her with her fear and him to open up once more. "Yes, she did. That was why he learnt to make a substitute blood and tonic for vampires. I don't think he ever thought he would be relying on his own creations however." He said sweetly. "It's because of that accident Miss Claire calls him her dearest love." He explained to her softly. It wasn't anything bad or romantic, just a nickname, at least Raymon thought it was. "You can not work with vampires and not expect to get bitten at least once, same goes with marriage." He told her softly. She probably get bitten at one point or another, rather it be from her asking him or in desperate need. Raymon just watched her straighten up little Carolyn and kept his smile on his face. He would escort them to the study, even if it was just a door down.

"I know. It's bound to happen at some point." she answered quietly. She wondered how she would react when and if it happened. Part of her thought she wouldn't mind but the other part of her knew she'd probably be frightened after it happened. When they reached the study, Contessa stared at the door and knocked softly before hesitantly opening the door. "H-hello Daylen. Don't mind us...w-we'll just sit back here and watch. We'll be quiet I promise, so you keep on working and don't worry." she said honestly as she took a seat in the study, placing Carolyn on one leg and No name on the other. Setting the bag down, Contessa opened it and pulled out the bunnies for Carolyn and the brush to brush Carolyn's hair while she played with her toys.

Daylen was in his vault, he was gathering some equipment he would need for the crafted item. He didn't even hear them come in he was in such deep thoughts. Upon seeing them, he instantly turned into his swarm of bats. Dropping the equipment as he flew to hide in the shadows covering the ceiling. "I see you have mastered that ability already Master Daylen." Raymon said as he looked up at the ceiling. "Come down here and spend time with your bride." His butler told him sweetly. Raymon just smiled hearing a bat's clicking. "Care to repeat that in english?" He asked his master softly. "Raymon why did you let Miss Contessa in here? I'm just going to scare her again." Raymon just frown slightly. "Is that what his hiding game is about? You don't want to scare her." Raymon just looked at Contessa sadly. "You showed him fear last time you were here?" She wasn't in trouble he was just curious so he could help her fix it. Maybe it was a simple fix after all.

Having seen this transformation before, Contessa didn't scream. Instead, she just looked up to where Daylen had gathered himself and chuckled as Carolyn laughed happily. "Scare me?" she repeated and sighed as she shook her head and looked at Raymon. "No I did not. I was shocked, surprised I guess you can say. I had never seen that in person before so when it happened, I let out a scream but it wasn't because I was scared of him. I was just surprised is all. I was going to explain it to him but he just left." Contessa answered in her defense. She could see how he would think she was afraid of him though. "Daylen, if I was afraid of you, would I be here right now?" she asked honestly. "I apologize for letting you believe I was afraid, but I can assure you that I wasn't." she promised. If anyone was scared, it was him and she could understand why.

The sound of a bat clicking echoed from the darkness. "Master Daylen, english please." Raymon said looking up at the dark ceiling. "You don't frighten anyone, even little Miss Carolyn is laughing." He said softly, pausing for a bit. "I will return with refreshments and snacks for our guest, please do come down. It was just a miscommunication." Raymon nodded to Contessa before leaving the room. However Daylen was still sceptical about it, he read fear in her mind that night. He took a deep breath after a few minutes of silence. The bats flooded down forming back into Daylen. He gathered his equipment off the floor never looking at Contessa as he did. He set the equipment down in his engineering desk. The molds were still hot and the wires were all sorted and waiting for the next step. His face was plain, emotionless as always but his eyes were more heavy than normal. It was clear that Daylen hadn't slept for a while.

Contessa watched him, a slight frown on her face but she was happy to be able to watch him work, even if he clearly didn't want to talk. Her attention returned to her lap as she gently pet no name and resumed brushing Carolyn's hair in silence. She wasn't sure what to say, but she was curious as to what he was making. "What are you working on?" she asked curiously. "You don't have to answer, it's alright. I know you don't want to speak right now, I fully respect that." she said feeling stupid for even speaking. Why had she said that? She should have remained silent. Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, Contessa started to brush her own hair, making sure to get rid of all of the knots. This was awkward just sitting here in silence, but at least she wasn't alone. Still, something told her Daylen really would rather be alone right now. "Would you prefer I leave?" she asked softly as she continued to brush her hair.

Daylen just adjusted the equipment listening to her. He was setting things up so he could use them. "You're fine." He spoke to her softly. He didn't mind if she stayed. He couldn't help but feel she was scared that one night but he wouldn't say anything about it. Raymon just came in, setting a tray near Contessa and Carolyn. It had beverages and some cookies for them. He would have to bring in Daylen's glass in a few hours. Raymon just smiled weakly at the silence. "Miss Contessa, you asked earlier about Miss Claire biting Master Daylen. Why don't you ask to hear the story." He said motioning for her to ask Daylen. Daylen just looked at Raymon, he just bowed and left the study. Raymon told her about that event, Daylen didn't really want to speak about it but he would if she asked.

Contessa frowned but managed to smile weakly when Raymon returned with the snacks. "Thank-you Raymon, very much." she thanked him. She was thankful for the distraction, and before she could say anything about the story comment he was gone. A soft sigh escaped her lips and she looked at Daylen and smiled weakly. "I know you don't want to talk, so I won't ask you about it. You don't have to worry about talking to me, I'll just watch as promised." she said easily and quickly took a bite of a cookie so that she wouldn't talk and handed one to Carolyn who started to eat it happily. It wasn't every day that she ate cookies. Contessa didn't eat cookies much either, just every now and then when she really was craving them. Most of the time her snacks consisted of baby carrots which she absolutely loved to eat as a midnight snack.

Daylen just softly sighed. He felt uncomfortable again around her. He just set the equipment down. Tomorrow was their wedding, he wasn't sure how he would be able to do it. He would have to and more for tomorrow. Raymon just knocked on the door. "Master Daylen, I'm sorry to disturb you and Miss Contessa, however your mother and the Elders are here. It seems the meeting was short." He told him after opening the door. Rosa smiled softly as she sat near Contessa and Carolyn. She wanted to be in the room just in case her son lost his temper, which he would. His eyes just turned red seeing the older men. "Oh dear, you shouldn't see this side of him." Rosa said softly more to Carolyn then Contessa. With a wave of her hand, she had teleported Contessa, Carolyn, her pet and Raymon to the room where they had their little chat after Sirus was just killed. Raymon just looked at the room and smiled. It was lit properly for Contessa and Carolyn. "If you wish to be with them Miss Contessa. I can watch Miss Carolyn and your pet." He told her in his normal tone. Lightning just suddenly flashed violently, near instantly followed by a clashes of thunder above the manor. "Oh dear, Daylen must be very angry." Raymon said smiling sweetly to Contessa unaware she was scared of thunderstorms.

Contessa put the comb back into the bag and tickled Carolyn, looking up when there was a knock at the door. The elders were here?! Were they crazy?! Contessa finished eating her cookie and stared at Daylen wide eyed, she knew nothing good could come from this. This also meant her parents were probably home then. When she saw that the elders had approached the room, she started to panic since she wasn't sure what Daylen was going to do. Before she even knew it, they were back in a different but familiar room. Her heart was racing in her chest and felt as if it would pop out of her chest. "B-Be with him?!" she gasped and screamed when the lightning and thunder suddenly were heard. "No no no no no no!" she cried out and continued to panic. Frantically, she cradled Carolyn in her arm while carrying the crate with her other hand. "Oh dear..." she whispered and started breathing heavily, screaming again when she heard more thunder. She just wanted to hide in a closet until this all passed but maybe if she went to him it would go away sooner. "I-I need to make him stop." she whimpered and looked at both Rosa and Raymon. "P-please? Would you be o-okay t-taking care of these two w-while I t-try to get D-Daylen to c-calm down?" she stammered, tears brimming in her eyes. Another flash of lightning and the bang of the thunder made her shake in fear after screaming again. She was extremely terrified right now, she couldn't even think straight.

The wind was picking up as Daylen left his study, the Elders just followed behind. He stopped the turned to them calmly. The storm growing more harsh by the second. His eyes glowed with such a darkness. Raymond just left the room as Rosa agreed to watched the little pat and Carolyn. "You can still stay as a sorcerer, you haven't tasted blood, in three more days the rose will bloom and you can drink from the dew. Stop from changing." He glared at them then lightly chuckled. "Then he can drink from my blood, I rather my master be a vampire then in your clutches." Raymon interrupted. Daylen just looked at Raymon slightly shock he would even offer that, but then weakly smiled. "You see even my immortal butler hates you so much he offers his blood to spite you. What does that tell you old fools?" Daylen just watched as Raymon removed his jacket and set it neatly on the table nearby. He was readying himself to be bitten, that make him slightly uncomfortable.

Contessa was running as fast as she could to Daylen's study and when she got there, she noticed that he was just leaving. "D-Daylen! P-Please stop it!" she cried and ran after the group. She had to stop to catch her breath and listened as the elders spoke only to be surprised when she heard Raymon interrupt them. What was going on? With shaky hands, she wiped away her tears and approached the group hesitantly. What could she do? Nothing, she didn't know what to do...she didn't think she could even do anything. "P-Please just stop!" she cried and looked up at the elders. "S-stop it! He is never g-going to become y-your apprentice. Never. Don't you understand that t-there is n-nothing you can do or say that will m-make him change his mind? B-Blackmailing him isn't g-going to work either, so p-please just leave him alone." Contessa begged, though she knew that this would probably just anger everyone or be ignored.
