Valentinus was surprised at the hug and looked back to see his father examining the pot. Sighing mentally, he looked back at the girl in confusion. "Y-yeah it's me I guess? I'm sorry but who are you?" he asked the girl who answered right away. "Oh! Okay well ummm hi. I'm not sure why you would be sorry. I'm happy to know she got better enough to the point that she was able to go home. I wish I could have told her bye but I'm just happy to know she's okay." Valentinus answered and smiled at the girl. "Oh so you just moved here? How do you like it so far?" he asked and laughed nervously. "Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Valentinus and as you probably already know, I live here. It's a pleasure to meet you." he said to her.

Faythe noticed the girl but said nothing and left upstairs to check on Holly and Silvermist. She knocked on Holly's door softly. "Holly dear are you awake?" she asked. Faythe hoped that she still wasn't too upset with Cupid. He was just a rule follower, he wasn't a bad man.

" I'm up Faythe. " She said as she saw Silvermist was still sleeping. " You can come here." She said as she looked around at the room. " Oh no who's room did we take over?" She said as she sighed and looked at her hand again. " It still feels like its there ." She said as she got up and walked to the door and open it. " Sorry Faythe Silvermist is still sleeping. But he could use company until he awakes I'm sure. How are you and Val doing?

Faythe smiled sadly and smoothed Holly's hair. "I'm more worried about you right now. Val has a surprised visitor but no worries, she seems like a normal girl. I'm sorry about sir Cupid. I know he seems like a cruel person but he's very sweet. Just like his son." she said and giggled. "Are you doing okay? Would you like anything to eat?" Faythe asked curiously. That black pot still scared Faythe but she trusted that Cupid could destroy it and whatever else was causing this.

" I'm afraid I don't agree with you on that point Faythe. Cupid wouldn't make a exception for his first son and never really asked his son or tried to see things from his son's point of view it appears. I say that because it seems like that pot is full of the negative memories of someone who was there and knew them both. There are rules yes but sometimes the rules have to be broken. Some things in this world aren't black and white there is a lot of gray areas. My father has rules but he takes the time to lessen to others, and even he will admit that sometimes elders get set in their ways and forget that there is more than one way to achieve the same goal. " Holly said as she frowned thinking about the pot. " Besides I don't really trust him. I really feel there is more to this than he is telling us. I can't trust someone who acts high and mighty and then changes their story and says that hey might not do the same to another son. He's showing favoritism and that isn't fair to his other son. I know that I really have no right to judge him but I don't trust him. I don't care how old he is Faythe wrong is wrong no matter your age or position. I feel that Cupid is wrong on this subject. He has been hiding this for so long and he had no intention of even telling Val. There are rules and I understand but I also understand that some rules have to be broken. Love is free for every person and love can be a second chance. I believe that is what the first son was trying to show his father. However I feel his father has his arrow shoved up his rear to far to notice that or anything other than his will. No wonder my father never let me and brothers interact with the immortals. We are raised differently and wouldn't put up with Cupid. I-think I might go out for a bit. I don't want to cause trouble around here. I hope that the visitor is a good one. " Holly said as she looked over at Silvermist. " Will you let him know I've went out? Besides there is no worry Cupid said that all they want is Cupid and his Son. I'm just a nothing clause." She said as she smiled and excused herself and walked down stairs slipping out the back door.

Holly kept looking down at her hand as she saw the mark still there. Her hand hurt a little as she held it with her other hand. Holly looked up as she noticed a strange aura by the clock tower. Holly felt almost drawn to it as she slowly walked to the clock tower. Without thinking she stared up the stairs of the clock tower. Holly had ended up on the roof of the clock tower drawn there as her hand with the mark reached out touching the top of the stone wall that surrounded the clock tower. When she touched it she let out a scream knowing that no one could hear her up this far. Suddenly a black aura shot out from the stone around the tower. It then suddenly shot back in wrapping around Holly's body.

Suddenly Holly found herself near the cliffs. She could hear the ocean waves crashing against the rocks as she looked around her not sure where she was or what had happen. Holly noticed that it was a beautiful day as she saw a young girl in the distance. She could see that the girl was tending to what looked like wild animals. She was dressed in Greek styled clothes her hair was a beautiful pink color. She watched the girl as she noticed that something seemed off about the girl. Holly noticed that the wild animals seemed to be very gentle with her as if they knew something was wrong the with girl. Holly watched as the girl did her best to help the animals. She was surprised when a mighty lion appeared and knelt before the young girl. She watched as the young girl managed to climbed onto the lions back. It pained her to see the young girl struggle so much. Holly wanted to help her.

Holly turned her head as she saw what looked like Greek men approach they didn't look like the kindest men. She felt her anger starting to grow as the men neared then girl. However it surprised her when the men held out large ropes and where able to wrap around the lion's neck. They greeted the young girl calling her IOLANTA as the men lead the lion away. Holly watched and was going to follow when she felt a warmth near her like that of Valentinus himself. She turned as she felt a warm touch on her shoulder. She was surprised as she saw a white haired man there beside her smiling warmly at her. He had beautiful white wings and white feather's in his air. He was dressed in beautiful clothing and looked like something out of a dream. Holly found herself captivated by him. This is what a Love God should look like she thought as she stared at the man's kind eyes. Unlike Cupid everything about him was kind and pure she felt safe with him and not scared as she knew she should have been.

"Haha...such a cute maiden as yourself shouldn't be in a place like this by yourself. I was surprised to see that you little one are the source of hope I felt and Justice. Something must really be bothering you for your light to be so bright. You shine like the stars above and you are full of love. " Leo said as he smiled warmly at the blond haired girl. He gazed into her eyes as he smiled warmly at her. He could see that she was indeed full of love and hope. She was so beautiful because he could see the hopes and dreams she had. His eyes widen as he saw a golden light come from her and felt christmas spirit. He hadn't felt anything so strong in ages. Leo laughed as he smiled at her. " Of course you are a Claus aren't you? No wonder you shine so brightly. Claus are some of the strongest people because of their pure hearts. You shine so brightly little one. I can tell from your appearance you aren't from this time. So there must be a reason why your here. Don't worry I can see your not sure why you are here either. I am Leo one of the Love Guardians. You seemed to have taken noticed of IOLANTA. You where surprised when those men turned out to be kind to her weren't you? " He said as he smirked appearing happy with the result.

" Unlike my father who has become jaded over the years I believe in humans and their capacity to love. It's amazing what love can do for people. It can turn the worst of the worst into the most beautiful people. Take those men with Iolanta they are considered outcast by society's even Iolanta herself. Iolanta is the daughter of a rich family here. However they discarded her as a infant and left her outside to die. Please don't get upset it is common practice here. She was born paralyzed from her waist down and with immune disorder that makes her sick more than half the time. Iolanta was taken in by a ruthless man who for one moment showed kindness and a crack in his stone heart formed. It grew as Iolanta grew. He turned his life around and devotes himself to Iolanta's care and helping other like him by giving them jobs on his farm. Those men where saved by Iolanta she goes around and finds the worst of the worst not even meaning to and some how she can reach each of them and turn them into little lams as it would appear. That lion is from a ring for fighting that one of the men saved. Iolanta helped the man get the Lion well. I find her truly remarkable. It seems life its self is stacked against her and all the others in her company. But some how they manage to save themselves. " Leo said as he smiled looking to Holly.

" You see my father doesn't believe people like them should have hope, or happiness. It's not because he is a bad man. It's because he's been hurt so many times before. However I don't agree with him. I have watched this girl and all those poor souls like her for years now. They have better hearts than the ones my father entertain. They made mistakes and have paid for them and some will keep paying for their mistakes. However unlike my father I believe they should have a shot at happiness and Love. Love can be a second chance and we have no right to not help those who truly seek it. I can tell from the look in your eyes you've met my father and don't seem to approve. It's ok little one but don't judge him to harshly. That man has seen and been through more than most people will ever go through. I keep hoping that one day there will be someone that will help heal my fathers heart and awaken him from his slumber. Someone who will make him believe in love again and in second chances for those who are willing to look for it. I believe it will take someone very special to open that big heart of his again." Leo said as he softly caressed Holly's sweet face. " You are truly beautiful young one. Don't you forget that. You are special and if anyone tells that your not, then they are blind. " He said as he pulled out one of the feathers from his hair and held it out to her. " Here I have a feeling you and I are going to be good friends. This is a sign of our friendship and if you are in danger it will let me find you." He said as he gently took her hand and let the feather touch her thumb as the feather suddenly glowed a bright white and then wrapped around her thumb turning into a beautiful ring.
"Ah there was go don't worry no one will notice it but you and I. It looks like your time here is ending. I'll be waiting for you until next time." Leo said as he smiled at Holly. " By the way what should I call you?" He asked seeing that she was started to fade away.

Holly was surprised as she didn't want to leave she wanted to spend more time there with Leo. " Holly! I'm called HollyBell!" She said as she frowned seeing everything fading away. " No!!!" She screamed out as everything bright and warm faded away. She was left in darkness that slowly faded back to her own reality. She stared out at the village as she saw she was back. She looked down at her hand as she saw the beautiful ring still there. " It's wasn't a dream." She said as she collapsed on the stone floor of the clock tower. She just stared out at the village trying to figure out what had happen.

Enchanted laughed softly as she smiled warmly at Valentinus. " Oh Valentinus that is a beautiful name. I have never heard something so beautiful before. " Enchanted said being honest as she thought about what he had asked her. " From what I can tell this place looks beautiful. I don't remember the last time I saw such a lovely place." She said knowing it was the honest truth. She hadn't seen the outside world in years. To her this was the most lovely place. She closed her eyes and still smiling looking rather cute. She open her eyes as she noticed people starting to enter the shop wanting to buy some of Valentinus baked goods. She had a feeling he had other things on his mind. " Oh humm....how about I help the people. You look like your mind is else where." She said as she hurried to the counter not waiting on him tell her it was alright. It took her a little while to remember everything but strangely she noticed the people didn't seem to mind having to wait on her to figure things out. " Everyone please wait your turn and form a single file line!" She said in her charming voice as everyone did so. Enchanted thought it was a little strange how people acted when she spoke but she tried not to pay any attention.

Enchanted was surprised with how kind the people where to her as she helped them. Some of the people even helped her figure out the currency and where even willing to help her by making sure they had the exact amount needed for what they wanted to buy. Enchanted laughed as she worked never noticing the pot or flowers as none of the other humans seemed to.

Suddenly the flowers seemed to vanish glowing black and then being burned up by a pink light. The pot did the same as the table returned back to it's normal state. The only thing that stayed was the black rose petal with the writing on it. Suddenly however a pink light surrounded it turning the rose petal back to a normal red rose petal. People started sitting at the table not seeing Cupid or any of the others. It was as if they only saw Valentinus and Enchanted at the moment. Even Enchanted didn't seem to see Cupid or Aphrodite. To the customers the shop looked normal as ever and they all seemed to really like the new girl Valentinus had working for him.

Valentinus smiled at her, she was pretty cute he couldn't deny it but his hear already belonged to little Holly Bell. "Thank-you." he said and nodded. "Well yes this place is pretty neat." Valentinus admitted and looked over at the people who were walking into the shop. Valentinus turned his attention back to the girl and blinked in surprise as he saw her walk inside. "Oh..w-well you don't have to." he said but she was already doing such a great job that he couldn't really tell her to stop.

Both Cupid and Aphrodite noticed the change in the pot and looked at each other. "We need to go look for clues to this. Whoever is controlling this pot is still out there." Cupid said as he headed for the store but stopped when he felt Valentinus touch his shoulder. "Were are you both going?" Valentinus asked. "We're going to look for clues regarding this situation dear. But we will return shortly I promise you." Aphrodite answered and smiled warmly at Valentinus. "She's right, we'll be back here soon." Cupid said and used some magic to form an invisible barrier that covered the pot so that no one could touch it. Without another word, he and Aphrodite left the shop.

Faythe sighed softly when Holly had left and looked down at Silvermist as she sat on the corner of the bed. "Oh dear, what am I going to do.." she whispered to herself as she stared into the mirror and began to brush her hair quietly with her fingers. She was worried that this was going to turn everyone against one another.

Silvermist slowly woke up as he saw the beautiful waterfall of hair that belonged to Faythe. He laid there as he watched her not saying a word. It was odd for him to find such enjoyment watching her. She really was a enchanting creator rather she knew it or not. He finally started to stir from the bed as he walked behind her and smiled warmly. " You can keep running your fingers through your hair but you'll be anymore enchanting than you already are. Please stop fretting your already beautiful. Besides worrying isn't going to do anything but stress you." He said warmly as he smiled warmly at her in the mirror. " I can guess that the current situation is the source of your distress. I must admit I'm a little lost here myself." He said as he looked around the room seeing that Holly was gone. " Let me guess that Holly ran off on her own and hasn't changed her mind about Cupid." He said as he sighed and shook his head.

" Honestly I don't believe Holly understands where Cupid is coming from. There is always more sides to a story than one persons view. Santa is different from Cupid but that doesn't mean that Sir Cupid is wrong for how he does things. Love is far more dangerous than Christmas magic. Holly and I couldn't fathom the responsibility that Cupid and the others carry. We also don't know the consequence of our actions or others in this area. This is one of the areas that Holly will have to learn in. This is her first time out in the world among humans. She is full of hope and optimism but lacks knowledge and experience. Holly hasn't learned that every action here has a reaction or consequence. In fact most of her siblings haven't been out in the mortal world come to think of it. " He said as he looked lost in thought for a moment. " I believe that this will be good for her. I also believe that that Cupid should explain things to her. I don't believe I'm going to try and save her anymore. I would only be hurting her and doing a disservice to her. Holly needs to learn that sometimes goodness isn't enough and rules are for a reason rather we like them or not. She is naive and needs to learn some live lessons that I believe Cupid can teach her. I would ask if you would not paper her in any way. If Cupid chooses to defend himself again please don't take pity on Holly. If it was Valentinus and you knew he was wrong and being hard headed would you not let him fall to learn a lesson, while it's with someone you know wont hurt them to badly? If we don't let her fall now she wont know how to get back up and stand on her own. The outside world is different from the ones we call home. Holly needs to learn the rules here. Everything doesn't always end in happy endings. And here we have to sometimes look the other way for the greater good. It's not pleasant but saving a life now could end someone else, or make the person's life you saved worse. Fate has it's reasons and we shouldn't mess with them. I believe that is what Sir Cupid was trying to get at last night. As a love god there is a balance you must keep. Just like a King. You have to weight the good and the bad before you make a choice. " He said as he looked back to Faythe and smiled. "We should find Sir Cupid and see if he needs any help or Valentinus. If Holly is determined to be stubborn then I will let her. She knows better than to just wonder off or should know better. I don't believe that this mystery being is going to Kill her, however maybe they'll knock some sense into her before Sir Cupid does. "

Enchanted kept up with the pace of the customers that came in. After a while she seemed to be getting the hang of things. She laughed and helped people with their orders talking with the people. She started taking notes on different things she noticed that might help Valentinus. Enchanted ended the rush by helping the children plate up some cookies for other children and their parents. The children seem to like her and even where singing and help her. It looked as if the children felt she was one of them. The children helped Enchanted finish the last order and then hurried off forgetting about the pot and everything heading outside to play.

Enchanted smiled as the shop seemed to calm down for the moment. She noticed that the place was rather packed and smiled as she picked up the notes she had taken and quickly looked for Valentinus. " Oh there you are!" She said in her enchanting voice as she appeared behind Valentinus. " Sorry I thought I could help. I hope I didn't do to bad of a job. The people where really nice or seemed to be. " She said warmly as she looked down at the paper in her hand. " Oh! I wrote down some ideas for you. I noticed that you have a lovely menu but some people looked as if they where overwhelmed. I was wondering if maybe you could come up with a mixture of your goods that would work well together maybe for certain effects. I take it from the decor that you want this to kind of be a love theme cafe or bakery. Maybe you could theme different varieties for certain events. You could mix different cupcakes for a get well, or different goodies for a first date, or even a pack to break the ice. You could take it a step further and offer consulting for the person and find out who it's for and why. Then you could maybe personalize each pack with a cute card and some fun love facts. It's just thought probably not that good. I also noticed that many people seem afraid to talk to others. What if you made it a special in the shop that people can pay to send some of your treats to people here with a cute note. It would help be a ice breaker. With how the girls act about you maybe you should do dating advice or consulting for them. I mean after all you are very handsome and could fit the part of Cupid himself." She said as she smiled warmly.

" Oh some of the young men seemed to think I was your new employ and kept asking me advice about girls. I told them I wasn't a offical employ. But they where so sweet I had to here them out. I told them to be their selves and to show kindness, and if they really cared about the person that they shouldn't give up. I also suggested one of your amazing cupcakes and wrote out a little card for them. I kinda promised I'd help deliver them later as surprises for a few of the guys. I also stacked some of your cupcakes together and added some frosting turning some of your cupcakes into roses. I'd like to show you them. These are the ones I promised to deliver. "
Here is one that I worked on. And here is the other oneI managed to make. I know they aren't perfect but it's been a long time since I've done anything likes this. I would working here and getting to decorate cup cakes and cakes. I have some really good ideas. I hope these are ok. Sorry I was in a hurry. I'm sure I could make prettier ones with more time. "She said as she looked up and saw what time it was. " Wow the day seemed to slip away I didn't notice how late it had gotten. I guess the rush of customers helped. " She said as she laughed softly.

Faythe's fingers continued to run through her long hair to remove any knots she may have. She was so focused on the task that she was unaware of Silvermist watching her. It wasn't until he spoke that she stopped what she was doing and looked at him. Listening to him, she chuckled and looked back down at the ends of her hair. "I don't believe I'm enchanting or beautiful but thank-you." Faythe started. "She did, she doesn't want you to worry about her though. I just hope she gets back before it gets dark out." she said quietly and frowned. "W-well...Valentinus was talking to a girl a whole ago but I'm sure he busied himself in the kitchen..." Faythe started and sighed. "I don't know what's going to happen with all of this but I don't like any of it." Faythe muttered and left the room to go check if Valentinus was in the kitchen but noticed that he wasn't even in the house and neither were the others.

Valentinus only watched from where he stood as the girl worked as if she had been doing this all her life. It was odd but nice to see. He looked over at the children and wondered what Holly was up to, he hadn't seen her all day. Was she still sleeping? Hearing the girl, he looked at her and shook his head. "You did a great job." he assured. "Overwhelmed?" Valentinus repeated and frowned. "Well...I suppose I could try. A-although I'm not..." he started but decided not to say anything. He had never been on a first date so he wasn't sure what worked for that but maybe his father could help him out. Whenever he returned with Aunt Aphrodite that is. "I give advice sometimes. W-well I used to but I got busy with baking that I honestly don't have time anymore." Valentinus said sadly. "I am not handsome I don't think but thank-you. I suppose I can try to make some time to give advice again. I will have to get more organized with all my work." he said but wasn't sure he wanted to tell her all the things he did like bake various things for various events, and write love letters for various people.

"Really?" Valentinus asked and chuckled, "Well thank-you for helping them out even though you didn't have to." he said and looked at the cupcakes she had made, "Stop doubting yourself, that's not going to get you anywhere. I really like them, very impressive." Valentinus started and thought for a moment. "You know what...would you like to maybe start officially working here?" he asked her and smiled. "I would love to watch how you make these cupcakes of yours, and I want to taste them, make sure they taste as good as they look." Valentinus explained.

"Really? Y-You want me to work here?" Enchanted said as she beamed with happiness. "I would love to honestly!!! " She said as she suddenly hugged him without thinking. She smiled happily as she felt a surge of warmth rush through her body from touching him. " Oh!!" She said as she let go of him and blushed slightly realizing what she had done. " I-m...I'm sorry I got so happy." She said honestly happy that he wanted her to work for him. He didn't know how much this meant to her. She would never forget the warm light and that kind voice of his. He was even more lovely in person. " Well maybe we could come up with cards and advice that we predo. We could make a book with advice that you or I could use to help people with their questions. You know just to add to your theme of love. You could even call it the book of love. I'm sure everyone would go nuts for it. I mean your love theme is a big hit here. " She said as she smiled warmly at him. " If you like maybe we could spend one evening working on the different ideas for the book and the best information to go in it as a quick reference guide for us. And we can come up with card ideas to go with the different items we decide to pair them with. That way even if we are busy we have everything ready to still help people. It would cut down on the time in the kitchen and free you up some time out here. Besides if your willing to teach me I'm willing to learn to help you bake." She said meaning it. She had been paralyzed for so many years and trapped in her own body. Anything was better than that.

Enchanted looked outside as she noticed how late it was starting to get. She knew she needed to get back to the hospital. It made her a little sad thinking she had to go back but she was sure it was for the best. After all it had only been yesterday she had woke up. She was sure that the doctors would have a million questions for her about her recovery. But honestly she couldn't tell them anything. Other than her friend had visited her. Really the more she thought about it the more she didn't understand what happen. However she was happy her friend had visited her. "It's getting late I'm so sorry for just taking up your time like this. I should get going. But thank you for being so kind to me today. I wont forget it." She said as she smiled warmly at him.

Silvermist was surprised when Faythe left. He sighed and nodded agreeing with her he didn't like how things where going. He made his way down stairs surprised with how crowed the shop was. He looked around rather surprised to see how many people where there after the events of yesterday. He noticed that it seemed people had forgot about yesterdays events in the village. He wondered if it was Cupids power. He looked around and was surprised to see a beautiful girl hugging Valentinus. He thought the young girl was rather charming herself and seemed to be a big hit with the males in the place. It made him smile as he walked over to the counter and peered in wondering what was there. He was surprised seeing roses thought when he looked closer he saw they where really cup cakes. He was rather surprised and looked around wondering where Holly was. He looked outside as he saw it was getting rather late. He sighed knowing he would have to go look for her soon enough.

Holly slowly got up from the floor of the clock tower. She found that her mind kept thinking about Leo as she made her way back to Valentinus shop. She stood just outside as she peered in. She felt her heart tighten as she saw a beautiful young girl hugging Valentinus. She peered in as she gently placed her hand on the cold glass watching them. Something inside of her felt as if it was breaking. She stared at them and felt even worse as she saw how lovely the girl was. She could see that the girl was beautiful on the inside and out and how happy the girl was obviously with Valentinus. She stood there in silence watching wanting to see if Valentinus was as happy to be with her. She held her breath as she waited something in her ready to shatter as she stood there not understanding why.

Valentinus froze at the hug and then frowned when she said she had to go. "R-right of couse you do. Wouldn't want anyone t-to worry about you." he said and laughed nervously. He had felt something in his chest when she hugged him, he didn't know how to explain it but it was different and it was...it was nice. "Well if you want to work you'll come back tomorrow." Valentinus said with a smile on his face. "I think I'll start to work on cards and on fixing the menu." he said to her. "Be safe on the way home okay?" he commented.

Faythe was sitting on the couch in her dove form when she saw Silvermist walk into the kitchen. He was probably looking for Holly even though he had said he wasn't going to go after her. Men were confusing sometimes but so were women. Her eyes went over to Valentinus and the girl hugging and she wanted to smile but she couldn't. That didn't mean anything of course, he liked Holly right? She wasn't even sure anymore after what happened today.

Both Cupid and Aphrodite had visited the hospital but everything looked to be fine. The look of the hospital was different. "They used magic." Cupid said to her. They had made themselves invisible to the humans here so that they wouldn't make any scene. "Yes they did, you could feel it in here. Hey...h-he's here isn't he?" Aphrodite asked. "Who? Leo? I'm not sure where he is. He's in this world somewhere but I don't know where exactly. It doesn't matter, we're not here to look for him dear sister." Cupid answered.

Chaos kept her watch of the hospital she kept Leo well hidden as she let Cupid enter her domain. She ignored him for now honestly more interested in her newest investment. It was strange honestly she thought she saw a smile on Leo's face at one point it was faint but he looked happy. Chaos found it strange and had thought she felt a surge of love energy but she felt pain as well. She found this odd and couldn't help but wonder what had happen. However she wanted to see how Enchanted was after all she had used the strongest love magic on the girl.


Enchanted smiled as she looked at Valentinus. " Of course I promise to be safe. I can't wait till tomorrow then. I promise to be here early." She said as she turned and headed to the counter. She smiled at Silvermist as she boxed up the cupcakes and letters she promised to deliver on her way home. She packaged everything and wrote herself directions to each of the places she had gotten from the guys. She smiled and waved good bye to Valentinus before she headed out the front door. Enchanted looked to her right outside of the shop as she saw a blond haired girl staring in at the shop. The girl was rather pretty and seemed to have a slight christmas appearance to her outfit. "How charming." Enchanted said loving the look on the girl. It made her look even cuter she felt as she smiled at the girl then turned and stated on her way.

It took Enchanted a while to find the houses but the girls where rather surprised and seemed very happy. She made it back to the hospital near night time and was surprised that the doctors didn't seem to mad at her. The doctors seemed surprisingly delightful and easy going. The doctors gave her some new pills to take and different supplements just to make sure her immune system was boosted. She was surprised with the nice dinner that they had and even the nice flowers that had been placed in her room from the staff. It was nice that the staff thought of her. They even let her eat her dinner in her room and rest.

Valentinus watched her leave, "I look forward to seeing you again." he said quietly. He was pretty sure she couldn't hear him and was glad, because right now he wasn't sure what he felt. He loved Holly didn't he? Well...yes? Valentinus sighed and walked into the shop, closing the door behind him and walking over to the menu. He was going to have to make a new one, one that was much more organized. So he sat at the table and started to re-write it in silence. He cared about Holly yes, but she had yelled at his father, and that was something he didn't like. Valentinus would always stick with his father no matter what, Holly just didn't understand.

"I can't get that out of my mind." Cupid said as they started heading back to the shop. "What?" Aphrodite asked. "What Holly said." Cupid answered. "Brother, she didn't mean that. She's just a silly child who let her emotions get the best of her. Don't take what she said so seriously." Aphrodite answered. "She meant every word sister, and I do not like it one bit. I have to talk to her and try to explain my actions to her which will not be easy. She's no love god so explaining the rules of love to her will not be an easy thing, she won't understand them." he said quietly.

Holly watched Valentinus as she noticed something was off about him. She felt betrayed some how and didn't understand why. She finally entered the shop as she noticed that everyone seemed in love with that strange girl. Holly didn't understand how a single girl could make so many people fall in love with her by just seeing her. It was really odd Holly thought as she walked over to where Valentinus was. She reached out to hug him but stopped as she saw a image of the girl in her mind hugging him and saw he was hard at work. " I'm sorry I was late. I will go fix us something to eat I'm sure your hungry. Maybe after dinner we could work on the menu together?" She said as she gave him a warm smile. She hurried to the kitchen as she started to make dinner for them. She fixed up some pizza for them and the kids making sure there was enough for the others if they wanted any. When it was done she pulled the pizza's out of the oven and sliced them letting them cool. By the time she was done cooking the shop was ready to close.

Silvermist helped the customers and closed up the shop for Valentinus. He smiled as he closed the door for the last customer and flipped the open sign to close. He then started to clean the tables off. He worked diligently cleaning off every table and then sweeping the floors. He had just finished cleaning everything when the children came back and tackled him to the floor happy to see him. He laughed as he hugged them and played with them a little. He smelt to pizza and laughed as the children knew it meant Holly had cooked something for them. "Alright everyone let's go clean up and then come back for dinner." He said as he went into the boys room and made sure they washed their hands before helping them to the table. He walked into the kitchen and started bringing out plates for the kids. Once the kids where done he tucked them in bed.

Silvermist came out and gathered up all the plates from the table and headed back into the kitchen he saw the look Holly had as he placed the plates in the sink. " You should apologize for your outburst. Cupid is still his father and how would you like it if some one yelled at your dad? " He said as he picked up the other plates and carried them out there. He then brought the pizza and sat it out on the tables for the others to enjoy. "Faythe would you care to join me for dinner?" He asked wondering if she was hungry or not.

Holly was surprised as she watched Silvermist. He didn't act like the Silvermist she knew. Her mouth feel open as she heard him. "Silvermist?" She said honestly not understanding why he was acting the way he did. She wasn't wrong Cupid was closed minded and how could say the things that he had. However she would tried to apologize to Valentinus and keep her mouth shut around his father. However she still felt Cupid was wrong and after meeting Leo she was sure of it. There was so much Leo in Valentinus. Holly slowly walked out as she stood beside Valentinus as he worked. " I made pizza if your interested. I thought you could eat it while you worked. I'm sorry for yelling at your father. I don't agree with him but I shouldn't have yelled like I did. " She as she looked down at her ring. She was going to tell him about her adventure today and meeting Leo but suddenly the thought of the girl flooded her mind. " So who was the new girl that I saw hugging you earlier?" She finally managed to ask. Her heart felt like it wanted to shatter saying those words. "She seemed very beautiful and quiet captivating." Holly said meaning it and not in a jealous way. After all Valentinus has said he loved her and he had said that it wouldn't change. " Did you want to bake some more with me later?" She asked wondering if he did or not. It had been fun the other night they had.

Valentinus didn't say anything after Holly finished speaking. Where had she been all day? He hadn't even seen her until now, had she gone somewhere? But where? She wanted to work on the menu? He had to know where she had been and he didn't even know why this bothered him so much but it did.

Faythe looked over at Silvermist and turned back to her human form, smiling sadly as she walked over to the table to enjoy dinner. She was still very worried with what was going to happen but she hoped everything turned out well. "Dinner sounds wonderful right now. It even smells lovely too!" Faythe said with a small smile.

When Holly spoke up again, Valentinus finally looked at her and frowned. "Where were you all day? I didn't see you after you yelled at my father which by the way is not cool. I don't want to have to choose between the both of you. You don't understand what it's like to be a love god Holly so you can just go off on us as if you do know. I know my father will punish me if I mess up just like Leo did, I know the rules and I know to follow them...unlike others." Valentinus started. "The girl? I don't recall her name but she works for me now. She said she would be here early tomorrow, I just hope it's not too early. Yes she is quite something isn't she? Hopefully you can get along with her and don't end up yelling at her too okay?" he commented and sighed softly. "Yes we can bake later." he answered.

"What?" Holly said as she stared at him not understanding where this attitude of his was coming from. " What did you just say to me?" She asked as she felt her anger starting to grow. " I wouldn't yell at her I'd yell at you for acting this way. I went out to look for clues this morning and to clear my head. Your right I don't know much about love gods. But I know that a man who would make favorites isn't a man at all. He would make a pardon for you and not for Leo. You know I'm starting to think there is reason non of the other guardians spend time with the love guardians. I haven't done anything for you to treat me this way. If I'm not wanted here then fine I'll leave. Besides you looked rather happy in her arms today. Just because I don't agree with your father doesn't mean I'm evil or wrong. You don't even know your brother or what really happen. So how can you choose to side with your father without knowing the full story? If there are rules fine but there are rules about being a decent person to. And that honestly hurts I'm not making you chose a side but apparently you have chosen it. If you love someone you don't choose a side or if you truly loved them you'd chose them. Just because I don't agree with your father doesn't mean I hate him or I'm not going to work with him. I just don't think he's innocent and I think he needs to reflect on his own actions. But since you have obviously written me off already it doesn't matter. I hope your happy together. Because if you act this way you'll never find real love. Oh but wait I'm just stupid and don't know what love is. I have a feeling I have a better grasp of it than any of you do." She said as she put the water down and turned to leave.
" I thought you where my friend. I said I was sorry about yelling at your dad and I had and have every intention of apologizing to him. But I'm not going to be treated like a outcast by you. I've done nothing wrong and I'm willing to make admins for offending your father. I don't know where Val is but when my friend is back I'll talk with him. Your just mean. My Val would have been waiting to see me this morning before I could leave instead poor Faythe was. Where were you? So you know your father's magic didn't completely heal me. But what do you care. " She said as she tried to hold back the tears. She held out her hand as it closed with the mark of Choas burning again brightly a red color due to being near the pot. " If I come in contact any where Choas has been it reacts. I met Leo today I saw your home or at lest in the past. And if you knew Leo you would know your father was wrong about him. Leo believed in love like you said you did when I first met you. I'm starting to think out of the two of you Leo is the better. If I had someone like Leo I'd be angry to if he was punished by hypocrites. From a human's stand point or anyone but you three it's hypocritically to punish one son and say you wouldn't punish the other. My father wouldn't chose between his children. And honestly neither would Silversmist father. You keep saying I don't understand but you haven't every explained to me so how can I? You and everyone says that love is magical and can heal and can save. Yet from what little I know of your brother and I saw there is no reason for him to be punished as he was. He did nothing wrong! That's what I'm angry with your father about and you! You haven't asked your father about your brother you don't know his side. You act like he's some king he isn't a king. He is still a person and can do wrong like wall can. " She said as she turned and narrowed her eyes at Silvermist.

" You think I'm wrong but the only person wrong here is you Silvermist. You are suppose to be my friend and have my back. Who stood up for you with your father? Who has always believed in you? Who put your father in his place when he was ready to give up on you? No I don't know about love because the love I know none of you but maybe Faythe understands! I was raised that you stick with your family and friends no matter what and you fight for those you love. Leo fought for something he loved and there is no evil in that Valentinus no matter what you say! Love can lead people down dark roads and I understand there must be balance but I don't believe your brother was guilty of anything deserving the punishment he got. I believe you and your father could both learn something from him. And so you don't think I'm lying he gave me one of this feathers." She said as she threw her thumb ring at him letting it hit the counter and roll onto the menu he was working on. The ring suddenly glowed as it turned back into a beautiful pure white feather. I'm sorry all of this happen. And I'm sorry that I yelled at your father. And I'm sorry that you had to meet me. And I'm sorry that your stuck with me Silvermist. Maybe if your both lucky I'll vanish." She said as she turned and walked out the front door. She had tears streaming down her face as she tried to make her way back to her cabin.

The wind picked up and a sudden snow storm blew in. The storm was so bad that Holly couldn't see anything in front of her not even her own hand. She hit the ground as she shivered in the cold. a black leave appeared from the Choas mark on her wrist. Before she lost consciousness her last wish was to be home.


Choas watched as something strange happen with Leo the human male's face changed. She saw anger even in his coma he looked angry about something. She saw a tear fall from his eyes suddenly as she tried to understand what was happening. She looked over at the one heart arrow she had saved of his from his immortal days. She didn't understand it was glowing faintly. It shook as if it wanted to go to it's master. Choas screamed out as the arrow suddenly shot forward nailing her in the heart sending her to the ground. She pulled it out and held onto her chest for the first time taking physical form as she saw her blood dripping from her wound. "I-I don't understand." She said as she looked down at the arrow. " Leo???" She whispered as she looked up at horror at him. " You have never hurt me. Wh-why would you attack me now? " She asked as she saw tears running down his face the arrow still glowing. Was he mad at her? Choas slowly got up as she vanished leaving him alone as she went to Enchanted's room. She walked in and touched the girl as she passed through her taking home in the girls dreams. She needed to heal and figure out what happen.

The feather glowed brightly before Valentinus as golden sparkles of light came out from it towards Valentinus. They where full of love, kindness, and hope what a love god should be made of. Suddenly the feather showed the happy times Valentinus had growing up and then the times he had with Holly. It showed him her beautiful smile and laugh. And how hope and happiness followed her where ever she went. The feather showed the same images to Faythe and Silver mist as the shop was suddenly full of very strong love magic. Almost as strong as cupids. It showed Silvermist and his father's strained relationship and how Holly had always stood up for him even if it meant she would be punished. It showed then different humans and how love could change them and the power of love. The last thing it showed was Holly's tears hitting the snow and the mark of Choas as it showed Holly screaming out as black leaves moved up her arm towards her heart. When the last one formed on her chest she turned to stone and burst into sand. The feather suddenly lost it's glow as it turned back into the ring.

Valentinus listened to Holly and watched her run off. He only shook his head and stared at the feather sadly, his heart breaking more with every memory shown. "What are you going to do now?" Faythe asked. "I don't know, talk to my father I guess and find out what's really happening. I don't even know who Leo is, if I could talk to him I would but I don't even know where he is but it's pointless to tell Holly that. This is a family matter and seeing as how she just yelled at Silvermist I don't think she's a good friend either." Valentinus said and looked up when the door opened, both Cupid and Aphrodite walking into the shop. "F-find anything?" Valentinus asked. "The hospital is filled with magic still. It all looks perfectly fine...on the surface. Did any of you ever check under it?" Cupid asked. "Under it? What do you mean?" Valentinus asked. "It's easy to see that the hospital has a basement. Your father and I think the basement holds the source of all the troubles that have been happening." Aphrodite explained.

" Holly and I thought we felt darkness near the hallway leading to the basement. But we couldn't be sure. However if it is the source is it wise to really go after it? " He said as he tried to ignore what Holly had said. In his heart he knew she was right on her part as well. But he didn't feel like apologizing for some reason. He could feel that Holly was upset but ignored it because she was more than likely just crying there wasn't a chance she was in danger. However he looked outside as he saw the sudden blizzard appear outside. " Wait how long has this blizzard been going?" He asked as he jumped up and looked outside.
" It's christmas magic isn't it." He said as he watched the clouds. He felt pain of guilt as he stared up at the sky. He turned as he looked at Cupid and Aphrodite. " Did you happen to see Holly on your way here she left a little while ago. She was upset because of something we said to her. We felt she was wrong for yelling at you. She said she would apologize however I upset her more than I should. Storms like this only come when Holly is upset and endanger. I know she was upset but I don't think she was this upset. Maybe she's right maybe I'm the poor friend. I've been ignoring the feeling I have that she needed me because I wanted her to learn her lessen and to yelled to you Sir Cupid. But maybe she's right."

"Perhaps not right away, but we can't just stand by and let it get worse." Cupid answered simply, running his fingers through his golden curls. They all turned to look at the blizzard and frowned. "It looks recent, so I don't think it was going on for too long." Aphrodite answered. Cupid nodded, "She was running off towards the woods. I would have gone after her but I'm sure that wouldn't be smart. Something tells me she had a fallout with one of you?" he asked. He listened to what Silvermist said, "She's right?" he asked and raised an eyebrow. "Are you also going to tell me how I should raise my family?" Cupid asked and sighed softly. "Even if she was right, the punishment on Leo is permanent so complaining about it isn't going to change anything. If you're so worried about her what are you doing here? I'm sure she could use a friend to talk to right now. It does look somewhat dangerous to travel though. Unless you just use magic to vanish and find her." Cupid said with a shrug of his shoulders.

Silvermist was surprised hearing what Cupid said as he looked at Cupid. " I was not attacking you or referring to you in any way, by what I said before. " Said as he sighed and looked to the floor. " I was speaking of my own actions. If anything I had agreed with you that she should keep her opinion to herself. She was wrong for yelling at you and it was disrespectful. Just because you don't agree with someone doesn't mean you have the right to yell at them or correct them. You are free to live as you wish and handle your family as you wish. The Clauses raise their children in a different manner than you have raised your son. Just like I'm sure the Easter bunny raises his different from ours. " Silvermist said being honest.

" I think Holly hasn't met someone of your position before and didn't take well to your approach of social skills. People in this day and time have forgotten about the old ways and myths that You and the rest of us who guard the humans are part of. To Holly your way of thinking and acting is strange and slightly offending because you don't come off as caring and kind. You have to remember that the glory days of old are gone and people don't see you here as a love god anymore. Many don't even know what that is. So Holly doesn't see you as a wise person and she has no respect for you because she doesn't know you, or how important you really are. You are use to people bowing and being respectful however those days are gone in this new world. In this world all of us here are nothing more than trinkets of the past and fading stories once told to children. That is why our jobs are becoming increasingly harder each and every year. That is why Santa sent Holly here in the first place. The Christmas Spirit is low witch means the Christmas magic is low. " Silvermist said as he looked to Cupid.

" You need Holly just as she needs you. Without Christmas many will give up on love. Just like if there was no love there would be no Christmas. As frustrating as it is to deal with a young child like Holly, you need teach her about your importance because you need each other. Santa hasn't said anything but the magic is so low that our magical world is starting to fade. Of all his children Holly is the only one that could make people believe in christmas because she has a kind and loving heart. That should be something you can understand the importance of. Remember Holly is a child and one who hasn't seen the horrors of this world. She doesn't know heartbreak and honestly is naive. You do need to correct her but I think you need to have a gentler touch. I also think that you and her should start over and maybe you two should take some time to get to know one another. You should teach her about your job and don't get mad if she ask questions. I can't use magic and transport myself to her. And now you know why. I will try and find her. I'm on your side sir. " Silvermist said as he walked to the front door. He sighed as he open the door letting the chilly air in along with snow as he pushed himself out into the storm closing the door behind him.

Silvermist used the last of his magic and transformed into his deer form. He looked around lost with how powerful the storm had grown. He fought for every step he took as he tried to looked for Holly. He knew she wouldn't last long in this weather. Without her full power she wasn't immortal as she and her family liked to believe. Of all her siblings she was the one that was more mortal than immortal. He wondered if Cupid would understand what he was saying and not take offense. He just felt maybe if he explained some things Cupid could get insight on maybe how Holly felt and give a reason to why she yelled.

Aphrodite listened to Silvermist and felt chills run down her spine. He spoke with so much...confidence. It made her swoon on the inside. She even fanned herself and blushed then looked to her brother. "I believe this cutie has a point brother. The children now aren't as they were before. Everything is changing and of we want to be believe in again and respected then we have to give them a reason to. We are love experts so let's be loving toward then. Well nurturing really." Aphrodite started and pouted when Silvermist left. "Well drat, you let the cutie get away brother." she muttered rather disappointed. Cupid sighed, he knew Silvermist was right he did need to talk to holly, or at least try to.

"I think we should all help Silvermist find her and we need to bring her back. It's not safe for anyone to be out in this weather." Cupid said. "You don't need to tell me twice!" Aphrodite said happily and blushed. Cupid raised an eyebrow and shook his head before looking at Valentinus. "Come along." he said to his son.

"I'm sorry dad but I can't. I have some things I need to finish up with work here. Besides, you know Faythe doesn't like to be alone." Valentinus answered and yawned softly. His father seemed confused but nodded, "Very well then. Let's go try to find her, sister." he said and walked out of there with her. "We'll be back as soon as we find her!" he assured before closing the door behind him.

Silvermist stumbled around until he found something metal sticking up out of the snow. He looked at it as he saw it was gold bell. He knew it belonged to Holly. He used his muzzle and moved some of the snow off her cold motionless body. He nuzzled her trying to get her to wake up. He grunted trying to do anything he could to make her wake up. He finally started to lick her face as he snorted at her relived as he saw her starting to move trying to get his face away from hers. He was so happy he had forgot about the storm for a moment. His suddenly saw a strange black marking on her wrist as he saw the same marking from before this time a black leaf was just above it. He wanted to look closely at it some more however Holly suddenly started to shutter making him forget about the mark.

Aphrodite looked around for Silvermist and then looked at her brother. "Come on!" she urged and pulled him along through the snow until she saw movement in the distance. "There!" she yelled and started to run over there pulling Cupid with her. When they arrived, Cupid noticed the mark on Holly's wrist and knelt down to have a better look at it while Aphrodite tried to use some magic to warm her up even if it was just a little bit. That mark was no good, but he didn't think his magic could help her. The magic used to make the mark felt stronger than his own so getting rid of it wasn't going to be easy. "Come on, let's take her back." Cupid said as he stood up and carefully picked holly up in his arms. Aphrodite frowned and then looked to Silvermist, blushing as she gently pet him. "Hello agaiiin!" she chimmed happily and giggled.

Silvermist was surprised to see Cupid and Aphrodite. He was thankful to have them as he nuzzled Aphrodite gently. They had been really sweet and kind to come out looking for Holly. He felt better know that they had come and weren't mad. He was honestly worried that they thought he was being rude with what he had said. He felt the weight of the world lift off his shoulders as he followed them back keeping beside Aphrodite to make sure she was alright.


Holly slowly open her eyes as she looked up seeing Cupid. She was a little confused on how she ended up in his arms. She had seen Silvermist she thought. However she felt really weak and was to tired to try and figure out what happen. She just gave the man a faint smile as she closed her eyes and fell back to sleep. She felt safe for some reason with him not sure why. Her wrist slightly burned as he carried her making her wince a little from pain. She wasn't sure what was going on but right now she was to tired to care.

When she felt Silvermist nuzzle her, she got chills and swooned. She hadn't felt this way about anyone before. Well there was Apollo, but that didn't end well. She had learned to move on and now she had her eyes on Silvermist, the man who made her insides turn to butter. "My goodness you are such a sweetheart." she said to him and kissed his forehead then scratched his chin gently. "You're so cute too." she added and giggled. "That girl there is very lucky to have you as her friend you know. I know kids are a pain to deal with but we were all kids once, we cannot forget that." she explained. Oh dear, she was starting to ramble nervously. He probably thought she was weird.

Cupid was walking back to the shop with the others while carrying Holly in his arms. When he looked down at her, he noticed she was awake and smiled down at her. "Get some rest Holly." he said quietly. This girl was troublesome but he was going to do his best to start over with her. He didn't want to make any enemies, especially not right now that her life was probably in danger because of that marking.

Both Valentinus and Faythe were busy cleaning the entire shop. They cleaned the rooms, the stairs, the Kitchen, everything! By the time they were done the shop was spotless. Valentinus had even remade the menu as was suggested. He had Faythe look it over and she easily agreed, even added her own favorites to the menu. "I hope Holly is okay." she said softly as they watched over the children who were playing with some toys that Valentinus had made appear. "She'll be fine Faythe, everyone went looking for her so they're bound to find her quickly." he assured with a smile.

Silvermist pranced a little at her kiss as he looked proud and tall for her. He had to admit she was a very kind women. Her beauty was legendary but he had never really thought he would have the honor of meeting such a beauty. Her heart was just a beautiful as her exterior it appeared. It was a rare combination indeed to fine. He kept in step with her trying to look noble and tall like his father did knowing that was the kind of animal that should be around such a lady. He stepped from her side long enough to shake the snow off his fur as he walked into the shop with her and Cupid. He saw that Holly was sleeping again and was thankful that she alright. He felt like he had a little bit more magic for some reason as he transformed back into his human formed.

"Oh thank you both." He said as he bowed to them and gently took Aphrodite hand as he kissed it respectfully. " Thank you for your kindness and for coming when you did. I was worried I wasn't going to be able to wake her." He said being honestly as he stood and stepped back away from Aphrodite giving her a warm smile. " You really are as beautiful as the stories say. I didn't know you where beautiful inside out however. Thank you both once again. " He said as he looked to Cupid. He looked to Aphrodite remembering what she had said. " Thank you for your kind words. I need to do a better job at being a friend. I think we are all lucky to have one another and not having to do things on our own." He said smiling happily.

Aphrodite giggled and ran her fingers through her flowing golden hair. He really was quite the charmer. When he turned back to his human form she wasted no time in wrapping her arms around one of his arms. Aphrodite was blushing as she looked up at the tall male. Perhaps it was her turn to put on the charm as well. She blushed even more when he kissed her hand though. For a moment, she was at a loss for words but then she found her voice again. "You are a great friend you cutie. You worried about her and went out to look for her even though you knew how dangerous the weather is. A true friend would do that." she pointed out. When he stepped back to look at her, Aphrodite giggled and smiled. "Why thank-you, you're much too kind sweetie. You know, any girl would be lucky to have a man like you. So sweet, so caring. So handsome and just perfect from what I can tell." she said giving him a sad pout. "I've had my heart broken so many times before, I don't think I could ever handle another one. But you wouldn't do such a thing would you sweetheart?" she asked as she walked over to him and looked up at him.

Cupid knew what was going on and only shook his head and stopped to wait for them. He knew what his sister was doing and knew very well that it would work like it always did. Aphrodite smiled up at Silvermist and kissed his lips sweetly, using this moment to use her love magic on him. When Aphrodite wanted something she always got it. She just hoped this one actually lasted unlike her previous lovers.
