Amai eventually went into her room and got ready for bed packing up a few of her things figuring it would be easier to move that way. Before long she fell asleep and tried to keep her mind off the fact that there was an empty room beside hers. The next morning she easily awoke at her normal time but remembered that Mauro and his parents hadn't wanted her to work right away so instead just decided to look through some of her old stuff before walking out of her room for breakfast.

Nunzio woke up and got dressed for the day, as he walked out of his room he saw Amai walking towards the stairs. Smirking he walked over to her and pushed her down the stairs before quickly making his way down the stairs and looking at her. "Oh dear, tripped did we?" he asked and narrowed his eyes. "Maybe now you'll stay out of my business with Mauro!" he hissed and ran up the stairs to wake Mauro. "Mauro! Mauro get up, Amai fell down the stairs!" he said, frowning. Mauro groaned and rubbed his eyes as he heard his brother. When he said that Amai had fallen down the stairs, Mauro quickly ran out of his room in his nightclothes and gasped when he saw her at the bottom of the stairs. "Oh god...! Amai!?" he called and looked at Nunzio as they quickly ran down the stairs. "Is she bleeding?" he asked. Nunzio frowned, "I'm sorry, I didn't check. I thought you'd want to know first." Nunzio answered.

Amai screamed in shock as she felt a push and didn't have time to pull out her wings before she went tumbling down the stair and hit her head on the wall. She whimpered painfully but was able to move a little thanks to the shock so when she saw Nunzio again she moved as far away from him as she could even though one of her arms was clearly twisted in the wrong direction and one of her feet were pointed almost completely straight. She had quite a few scrapes, cuts and bruises from hitting the corners of the stairs but she wasn't hardly bleeding at all. She whimpered painfully but seemed more worried about Nunzio being close to her then anything else

At the scream, Mauro's parents quickly ran out of their room and quickly ran over to Amai. "Oh my goodness, what happened dear?" Mauro's mother asked her. "Nunzio?" their father asked. "Wow, so she gets hurt and I'm automatically pinned as the bad guy?" Nunzio asked. Mauro frowned. "I'll go get some ice." he said and left to get that while his parents helped her to the couch where they had her sit down. "I think we need to get a doctor to look at her." their mother said. Their father nodded and left to see if he could get a doctor to visit today. "Oh dear, try not to move so much okay?" she said and smiled softly. Mauro soon returned with some packets of ice that their mother gently placed on the bruises.

Amai cringed every time she moved but then relaxed a little. "Th-Thank you." she said softly to Mauro's mother but it was pretty clear she wouldn't be okay right away. How could Nunzio do this?! Certainly he had to know that she had very frail bones. She could get him trying to get back at her but with her foot the way it was right now there was no way she would be able to get up and move around for quite awhile.

Nunzio stood at the end of the stairs, leaning back against the while as his father walked over to his mother. "The doctor said he would try to get here as soon as he could but he'd be here today." his father informed. "Oh that's great news, I hope he can give her something to help her get better sooner." she said quietly as she looked at the cuts and frowned. "We should get those cleaned up." she said and left to get what she needed for the cuts. Mauro frowned and knew Marzia would freak out if she ever found out about this.

Amai just sat there staring down at her oddly bent foot and her kinda mangled looking arm... though that was probably her own fault for trying to grab something when she fell, her arm had just ended up getting pushed behind her when she pretty much rolled down the stairs. She glanced up at Mauro unsure if she should say anything about Nunzio having a feeling that he would just hurt her again if she told anyone.

"Are you sure she tripped Nunzio?" Mauro asked. "I saw her fall down the stairs. She must have slipped or tripped." Nunzio answered as his mother walked back and started to take care of the cuts. "Well whatever happened, she won't be able to work for a while. I think it would be best she in her room and you boys keep her company." their mother suggested seriously. They boys didn't say anything and then their was a knock at the door. Their father walked over to the door and opened it, glad to see the doctor had arrived. "Right this way doctor." he said and led the doctor over to where Amai was sitting.

"O-Oh th-they don't have to really..." Amai said a bit unsure how that would go with the two not really seeming to get along and Nunzio being the reason she was hurt... she really didn't want him to stay too close. She glanced over and looked a little worried. She knew the doctor would have to set her bones and she really hated that idea, she knew it would really hurt and that she would probably black out from it.

"What happened?" The doctor asked when he saw Amai. Nunzio explained to him what had happened while the doctor examined her arm and leg. "I'm going to have to snap the bones back in their place then I will bandage them up tightly and you are not to move that arm or leg. It will be best for you to stay in bed for a few weeks." the doctor explained as he took Amai's arm carefully in his hands. Mauro frowned, wishing he could do something to help. All he could thing of was to hold her good hand in his and smile sadly at her. "One, two, three!" At three, the doctor set the bones of her arm back in their right spots and began to tightly bandage her arm so that she wouldn't be able to move it.

Amai felt the need to tell the truth but just kept quiet. She gasped as he grabbed her arm before crying out in pain as he snapped it back into place before wrapping it. She already felt light headed just from that as her arm hurt badly and she whimpered as her foot and leg twitched a little from the pain.

"I'm sorry." The doctor said and then did the same to her leg, making sure to bandage it tightly. Mauro shivered slightly at the sound it made when the doctor did that. "I'll be coming back to check up on her every so often. Do not let her move around so much unless she absolutely needs to." the doctor said. "Understood." their mother said and looked at Nunzio and Mauro. "Take her to her room please. I'll work on breakfast and I want you to take the breakfast to her, do you understand?" she told them. "Yes mother." they said in unison. Their father was glad to see they weren't hurting each other as of yet and walked with the doctor to discuss payment while his wife left to work on breakfast and the boys debated on how to get her up to her room.

Amai cried in pain but luckily for her the shock and pain caused her to pass out mostly so she at least didn't have to feel the red hot pain in her leg and arm. Lucky for the boys as well, she was actually rather light for her height so moving her shouldn't be too hard if they were careful.

"Alright, you carry her Nunzio and I'll open the door for you." Mauro instructed. Nunzio shrugged and carefully picked up Amai in his arms and followed Mauro up the stairs to her room. When they reached her room, Nunzio set her down and crossed his arms across his chest completely satisfied with his work. Maybe now she would keep her mouth shut and back off because he had no problem hurting her again if she spoke up again.

Amai whimpered as she was moved and tried to lean away from Nunzio but couldn't really so instead had just stiffened up a bit as he touched her but relaxed once more when he laid her down. All she wanted to do right now was to stay asleep and not have the one that caused her so much pain in the same room... it kinda reminded her of her old 'master' really.

"What do we do now?" Mauro asked. "Boys! Breakfast is ready!" their mother called. Both Mauro and Nunzio left down stairs to the kitchen where breakfast was being served. "Let's eat up, and then I'll have a plate sent up for Amai to eat once she wakes up again. She needs to eat." their mother said and sat down beside her husband. "What did the doctor tell you?" she asked quietly, taking a bite of her food. Both Mauro and Nunzio enjoyed their breakfast while listening to their parents speak. "He said he would be coming frequently to check up on her. He also left some medication that she is to take three times a day for a week." their father replied quietly.

Amai stayed out cold for quite some time before she finally started to stir. It was late afternoon by the time she woke with a whimper still feeling quite a bit of pain from being pushed down the stairs and then having her arm and leg set. She looked around the room a bit her body still pretty stiff and hurting but was just hoping Nunzio wasn't in the room

Mauro had been checking up on Amai from time to time but she was always still out. Walking to her room, he slowly opened the door and smiled when he saw that she was up now. "Amai you're up!" he said happily and quickly walked over to her. "Hey how are you feeling? Are you thirsty? Hungry?" he asked. Right now he was her servant, at least until she got better and was able to work again but there was no rush.

"oh... I'm so glad it's just you M-Master Mauro." Amai sighed in relief before nodding to his questions rather stiffly since her neck and head were hurting pretty badly "I-I'm actually quite hungry and thirsty... and I... feel a little better.... everything is stiff and achy right now... and my arm and leg still hurt but not as bad" she explained softly

"Yeah it's just me, Nunzio is busy with our father so you don't have to worry about him." Mauro informed. "I'll go get you some food and something to drink, I'll be right back." he said with a warm smile before leaving her room and heading to the kitchen where he saw his mother cleaning around. "Mother Amai woke up now." he commented. "Oh she did? Well I bet she's hungry so let's get her something to eat and something to drink. Grab a tray Mauro." his mother instructed and so he did. He watched his mother cook up something delicious for Amai and then served it on a plate. Mauro took the plate and placed it on the tray along with the glass of juice he had poured for her. "Oh and this too!" his mother said and handed him a small plastic cup with two pills. "It's supposed to be one but she didn't take one for breakfast so she needs to take them both now and then one before bed. It helps with the pain, doctor's orders." his mother explained and went back to washing dishes. Mauro nodded and headed back up to Amai's room and carefully opened the door.

Amai was relieved at this but then just tried to relax as she watched Mauro head off. She smiled softly as she saw him coming back into her room and fidgitted a bit trying to sit up but it was a bit hard without moving either her leg or her arm. She wondered slightly if it was safe to say something to him... she didn't want him to end up getting hurt but she really didn't want to keep it to herself either.

"Don't move." he said to her seriously as he closed the door behind him. Mauro set the tray down on the side table and carefully helped her sit up, making sure he fluffed her pillow so that she would be very comfortable. "There, all better." he said and smiled. Mauro picked up the tray and gently set it down for her. "You have food, a drink, and your medicine." he said, pointing to each one. "Two pills today. Usually you just take one but you didn't take one for breakfast so you'll take two now and one before bed. These are for the pain." Mauro explained to Amai.

"Thank you" Amai said softly with a slight smile before taking the pills and then drank some of the juice to wash them down. She then started to eat and smiled some at how good the food was. "You're mom is such a good cook." she smiled easily, even if it had just been something that she was making out of a can or something it always seemed she added to it to make it taste better.

Mauro chuckled, "Yes her cooking is the best isn't it?" Mauro agreed and watched her eat. He was glad that she was eating. He knew she was probably going to be like this for a long time but he didn't mind taking care of her. She'd do the same if he was the one with a broken arm and leg. "Nunzio's cooking is really good too actually. Although I prefer my mother's cooking any day. Just don't tell him that or else he'd kill me." Mauro explained and laughed.

Amai went a bit pale and stayed rather quiet at the mention of Nunzio deciding to not say anything . She ate quietly not wanting to say anything about his brother knowing that Nunzio would probably just hurt one of them for it... hopefully he wouldn't ever hurt Mauro in such a major way... at least he did get people to help her instead of just leaving her there like that... but she could have been hurt allot worse from such a fall
