"Great, that's fine, I'll see you then!" Kane was off in a rush racing away before he'd even finished talking. He hopped his gate and smiled as he saw that Juri was home. "JURI!" He called racing inside, jerking his school shirt off and his black tank on. "Crazy girl coming at 7, knows about Risa, KEEP HER BUSY!" He raced upstairs and grabbed his headband, tieing it on as he raced back out the door. "Kane?" Juri poked her head out of her room where she'd been changing. "What in the world is going on in his head?" Pin pon! Pin pon! for once in his life Kane was actually ringing the doorbell. "Crazy!!" He yelled at the windows. "Open up! I need a favor!!" True he was going to visit the crazy professor that weekend....but with Chidori coming, he didn't have time to wait..he had to do this NOW....he had to find Risa...had to make up for failing...had to do SOMETHING. I slowly turned around to find a boy... short white hair with black tips...his arms were...white wings with black tips...like an owl's and his eyes were like a cats'....huge pupils and yellow iris'. I was stunned at how remarkable this one was; this arms were his wings... [will draw later]. He smailed a warm smile, picking up a towel. "Im unlike Noah over there, I just wanna be friends. Is that alright?" he said in a kind and soft voice. I blushed and nodded, covering my chest and belt line taking the towel. I was stunned, I didnt know what to say. The professor was sure making better with each transformation. This one actually had human hands and feet. At the mansion, a woman answered. Her dark appearance and a small candle she held in her hand,m she looked up; her pale skin and red eyes were hard to look at wihtout staring. "May I help you?" She said in a low monotone voice. "This isn't helping, not at all...I can't be with Risa if things keep happening and the only way I can figure out to keep them from happening is to either live as a hermit the rest of my life, and never speak of this again.....or....." He shrugged, looking to the shef of potions he had.
"I have a few I created myself to kill her in her sleep, causing her death to be believed as sleep acnea. No one will ever know she was poisoned." He was about to leave the room when he heard 'enhancement' and he about faced. "'Whats that boy? My ludacris ideas getting to your head? You actually want the human splicing technique done to you? I sat back, sitting indian style in front of the fire as my...stalker friends, Noah and the newcomer... who I had yet to learn his name, also ate their fill of burgers and fries. The professor stopped in his tracks, rubbing his eyes under his glasses and looked over his shoulder tiredly.
"You know its a very tiring process, right? I may not even turn you out the way you want to look, lik her. You may end up looking like Noah, with bird feet and high ears. Are you ready to face reality, if you were to come out with a deformity?" he said, looking up at him. [Gawd I need to draw him... hes like IN my head but I need to draw him.] The newcomer felt my gaze and looked to me. His smile was so warm. "Im sorry my name is Hita. I forgot to mention that earlier" he rubed the back of his head. "Are you enjoying your meal? Its not resturant quality, but its good, and all we could afford." I looked to him and warmly smiled, nodding. "Its good, I havnt had Burger King in...seemingly forever. Ive been eating fruit and veggies since I came out here." They both nodded, finishing up. "So, youre always alone out here then?" Noah asked. Hita nudged him. "Ow, what was that for?" Hita glared at him. "Leave her be, shes devastated enough that she must tear herself from the one she loves to protect him, she doesnt need you drooling all over her." Noah merely hmphed and folded his arms. |

Kane's gaze fell to the floor.
"I know...that things aren't going to be easy....and I know that I might end up like Noah....but still....if Chidori decides to squeal...she'll be exposing me as well....she might be less inclined to say anything if I'd be taken away from her...." He looked up his eyes set. "I don't care how I come out as long as Risa's safe!" |
He finally nodded and walked towards him, then past.
"Come, see the animals I have the genes of and you may choose what you want to be spliced with. I will inject the serum of the DNA into your spinal cord, then put you into a comatose state where you will sleep for a week or so, until you have fully transformed." he led him to the caged, but well cared for animals. Among them was a bald eagle, crow, white tiger, wolf, owl, bat, boar, bear, pig, and some fish of various sorts. "Ill give you a moment to decide while I get the items I need set up in the next room. There is a telephone on the wall over there if there is a phone call to be made to anyone, to let them know you will be gone for quite a while." I smiled at Hitas seemigly protective ways. "So... what animal are you spliced with, if you don't mind my asking?" He smiled proudly and opened up his arms to reveal his winged arms. "A barn owl." I smiled. "Your... feathers are beautiful." Noah groaned, and scooted to the mouth of the cave where he lay on his side, his leathery wings folded and laying on the ground behind him. he propped his head on in his palm. Cursed leather wings.. I didnt even get to choose... |
"A WEEK!?" Kane sputtered.
"I don't have a week!" He sighed though and moved to the phone. "I'll...let Juri know.." Ring ring...ring ring Juri paused Chi in her speech and she ran for the phone. "You'd better be dying." She hissed into the receiver. "I am..." came the reply. "WHAT!!?" "NOT REALLY!!" Kane screamed. "I'm....gunna go through with it....tell Chidori that.....I'm going to be just like Risa." "Are you mad!?" Juri slumped into a chair. "You are....you're crazy." |
The professor shrugged.
"It takes a week for the DNA splicing potion to successfully fuse with your genes and grow onto your flesh. You should have longer to recover, since you will be in alot of pain and exhaustion from the transformation, but i know you will go rushing off as soon as you wake up, you stubborn whipper snappers." As Hita and I conversated, I almost didnt notice Noah away from us. I looked past the fire to see him laying on his side, looking at the valley and forest below us. "Noah, are you alright?" I asked. He looked over his shoulder and nodded. "Fine." he replied in a monotone voice, that wans;t very convincing. |

Kane smiled away from the phone and nodded. "You bet I will." He mouthed. "Yeah, Juri I'm still here." Juri's stomach was sinking lower and lower. "A week? That long...and then you'll...?" She nodded. "Alright....I'll.......I'll be on the lookout for you after that week." Juri hung the phone on the hook and looked over at Chidori. "Kane.....isn't coming back...not for a week...he's....he's going to become like Risa....so if you want him to be taken away as well, then go ahead....spill all you know to the media." Her eyes narrowed and she stood, towering over the girl. "But I warn you.....you hurt my little brother and I'll make you wish you'd never left that hospital the last time...." Kane hung up and looked back. "So....when can you start?" |
The professor rubbed his hands together after placing some items on a table, a few needles, ice packs, gauze and other various medical items.
"AS soon as you tell me which animal you chose. Ill assume one of the birds; theyre most popular." He rubbed his chin, looking up at him. "Ill need you to get completely undressed." He snapped on a medical bracelet, it read "Risa's Lover" I quirked an eyeborw and stood then walkedx over to where he watched the stars and sat beside him. "Please tell me whats wrong Noah." I said sweetly. He sighed and looked up at me. "It just...you never marveled at my wings like you do Hitas... are they ugly...am I ugly, Risa?" I blushed and was brought back by his blunt question. "Noan, I never said any of those things. I only marvel at his wings because they are fused with his arms; its amazing he can still use his hands and has enough feathers to be ablue to hold his own weight in flight." Hita nodded. Chidori's eyes narrowed too, she stood slowly. "No I see how it is... you wont be hearing the last of me..." He strokeed the cat as she headed for the door and slipped on her shoes. "Tell him to come to my home after he's finished, so I can speak with him. If not, I will definitely go to the media. Ill be expecting him in a week." |
