He nodded and looked back to the door.
"Seems that way." He fiddled with his nails, picking the dirt out form under them and shrugged again, he really didn't want to go to class so why not stick around and chat? "Heck no I don't eat that crap." He shuddered again and made a face. "That stuff is going to kill off half the school in a matter of months. Why?" |
His eyes widened at that response, taking it literally. "Crap.. by crap.. what 'crap' are they putting in the food? Enough to kill half of the student body?"

"Well, in your case Garlic, lots and lots of Garlic..." He threw an arm around Zahara's shoulders grinning exhasperatedly.
"Geeze, I wasn't serious, it's just that they can't cook, none of the cafeteria workers can, the food they serve tastes horrible." |
"Eh?" He was suprized at being grabbed and squirmed a bit, laughing it off. "I'm not used to your ..humor." He thought for a moment realizing he had missed his class. "And how do you relate allergic reactions with garlic to me?"

Kane pulled off just staring.
"You have got o be kidding me!" He exclaimed. "Do you never read comics?" He circled Zahara imitating an old movie he'd watched on vampires. "Dracula...was a Vampire, and Vampires feed on Human blood..following me Drac? The only things that Vampires can't stand is sunlight, holy water, and Garlic. ergo, you, being Dracula would die from eating the school's nasty Garlic-ey food. Get it?.....Geeze it's not as funny when you have to explain it." He slumped over Zahara again and steered him through the doors heading out of the gym, they were going to be yelled at if the coach caught them loitering. |
"Huh? I'm sorry I ruined your joke.. I dont read comics.." He scratched the back of his neck nervously. "So.. how does that relate to me?" He jolted forward not expecting to be pushed around. He scanned the area frantically not knowing what was going on. "Are we in danger? Wah! Where are we going?"

Kane walked him on, not noticing, and not caring that Zahara was flitting about like a nervous cat.
"I thought I jsut explained that? You're creepy, like Dracula, no offense, and Dracula would have died of a Garlic overdose if he ate here....the Lunch ladies would have managed it somehow even though they never use Garlic in anything...that's...that's more Juri's style." He grimaced thinking of his sister's cooking....albeit better than the school's it was still bad. "Relax, we're not in danger Dracula, we're going to the roof...class has started and I'm not in the mood to go tinkering around with graphite and charcoal....it's bad enough that I was a living spectacle in gym, but I have to draw the line somewhere, I have integrity!" He feigned a heroic pose as he walked and smirked. His idea of integrity was graduating at the end of his last year without ever attending a class. He'd do it....he hoped. |
(lol your school goals are astounding. sorry don't mind the spelling I didn't check it. I gtg night) He looked suprized at his response. "I.. look creepy? So I am like Dracula? I'll take your advice and stay away from the food. I hardly have an appetite though.. it shouldn't be a problem." He thought to himself trying to memorize the halls and doors he was passing. "Who is Juri? Is she a cafeteria worker?" Upon hearing where they were headed he seemed more relaxed. "I would much rather .. not go to class as well. You are not in a comfortable situation.. for someone who dislikes attention, you seem well known and sought after."

Kane smiled. "Yes you're creepy, those thugs you chased off aren't your run-of-the-mill thugs, and you scared them pretty badly." He chuckled. "No, Juri's my sister, crazy broad, but I love her all the same...even when she thinks it'd be funny to put me in a full nelson." Kane nodded. "You got that right, I'd much rather spend my day on the roof staring at the sky than into a book....and have you seen those crazy girls..." He threw his hands up around Zahara's head. "They're mad I tell you. M-A-D!" |
"Oh.. well let us be thankful for that." He smiled and nodded recalling Friday.
"So your sister is a fighter? I assume you are one as well?" He held his chin in his hand with great interest. "Just reading and memorizing answers for a test you'll forget about in a week.." He looked at the ceiling and stretched his arms over his head, thinking to himself about the differences in each other's culture. "Just to fill in the school's quota of assignments.. To me that is not time well spent." He shook his head in disgust. "Experience on the other hand, is something that you will never find in a book. All we can do here is just do our time and get out." He walked at a slower pace as they neared the stairway to the roof. "So you escape the 'crazy' girls by staying on the roof? Has anyone spotted you there yet?" He chuckled at the thought of an angry swarm of students trying to go up the same staircase at once. "I never have that problem.. Most of the time I go unnoticed, even when standing next to a person." He had an exasperated expression on his face as if being overshadowed has been a problem with him for some time. He clasped his hands behind him only to be grabbed around the head, throwing him into a stagger. "Wha! ah.. ..hah hah .." -sweat drop- He spoke in a lighthearted, joking tone. "So, what do you think triggers their madness? The cafeteria food perhaps?" (XDXD it makes use craayzee good! -insert pop tart commercial guy-) |
"Well...yes and no, I'm the fighter...Juri...Juri just watches a lot of TV and tries out new moves on me. She works at Okiku's. You know, the resturant downtown?"
"Say, you've got this whole thing down pat don't cha Drac?" He headed up the stairwell. "That's mainly why I stay outside. I pass enough of the tests and crap to pass the classes, so I'm actually fine on my grades. Surprising? I know." He broke outside with a sigh and a stretch. "Ahhh, that feels good." His back cracked down to his lower spine and he grunted, dealing with the brief and annoying pain that accompained it. "I wouldn't worry too much about being ignored..sometimes that's a good thing." Creepy Psycho Girls case in point. He turned and smirked. "Naw, I think it's the bathroom air...honestly anyone who goes into a girl's bathroom never comes out the same." ((Sorry but I won't be on tonight. XP I have to get up really early tomorrow *frantically edits post* And I've got to get out of here soon!!! *dies of hunger*)) |

XDXDXD Oh, ok, like the french say "Until we meet again" Please do eat, I dont want you ending up like me passed out in the hallway for 20 minutes with people just walking over you and stealing your stuff out of your locker. :: Bill finishes his comic and circles the room, Pirates of the Caribbean music plays in the background- i hated it...- he points at my work "this, this needs to be worked on a little more..." i nod and erase it. he then taps my shoulder and whispers in my ear, "have you seen Kane?? i hear you 2 are you know, a unit now, and I havn't seen him in my class for a few days..." he lifts his fluffy eyebrows at me and i leaned back a bit, stretching my arms up, a it annoyed at this STILL coming up, "Bill, were NOT a unit, i don't know who's spreading these rumors, but it isn't true. I'm not his keeper, i'm not his pet, i'm...." i thought for a second, it all coming together "im his chef..." i sad softly "i make him lunch, he walks me home, so i don't get beat up, ya know?"
Bill frowned at me "you cook lunch for him?? must cook well" he chuckles, scratched his beard, and continued on his walk around the room. The model kept staring at me. He was facing me, but its always known to inappropriate for the model to stare at the artist. i grew uncomfortable and stopped drawing and i looked out the window. I sighed deeply, put my pencil in my mouth and closed my eyes and thought to myself "so, now I understand... its been about he food all along..." Chidori walks around the room, with her smug expression as usual and taps her rump into the chair i had all my drawing utensils on, it splatters to the floor making a banging sound and she giggles "whoops you should be more careful, Risa..." she continues on her merry way, while a a few of my classmates jumped, giggled a bit and rustled in their chairs. I just sighed and got up, knelt on the floor and picked everything up. It seemed things were back to normal, and I guess that was alright, as long as I wasn't bothering anyone else, especially Kane, I was okay. I pondered about the tickets and questioned myself over and over why he gave them to me, I just couldn't figure it out. My mom was never home during the evenings and overnight, and she slept during the day... work always kept her busy, and when she was off, if ever, shed be out grocery shopping for us. I missed her.. I sighed deeply and sat back in my chair and continued on my drawing. The end of the day was drawing nearer and I couldn't wait to go home- to fly home, over the clouds.:: |
(hey guys, im here, i know it took me forever to post, im sorry but im really excited to catch on with the story, its going great so far!)
:it was monday just before the last period had finished when i was passing through the school to familiarize myself with the halls before i started the next morning, this school is awful big! how will i ever figure out where to go? no one is even in the halls and im already confused and lost, i roamed the halls noting where the bathrooms and exits were, in case of emergency situations where my true identity could be found out i peered into a room, it was an art room, class was still in session so i tried not to be seen, i was the new girl that was bad enough, i didnt need people to pay any extra attention to me i saw a girl in the corner by the window drawing, she seemed so sad, and was so alone, she reminded me of myself.. BUZZZZZ! the last school period had ended, and the halls were going to be full of students, i had to run outta there before i was founded: |
::I rolled my eyes and packed up my stuff "finally..." i sighed deeply and closed my book, the model kept staring at me. he then jumped of his pedestool and came really close to me and spoke in my ear "I got Juri today to let you Know..." she lipped his lips and walked off. his breath smelled of rotten tomatoes and my eyes widened at what he said. i realized who he was now...I had to tell Kane!
I then rushed out of class, running into another body as i rushed out, dropping all my stuff. we both fell to the floor, a few of my feathers were on the floor as well:: |
:in my panic i couldnt decide which direction to run and instead of moving i just stood there and then someone bumped into me, i didnt see her face but she had just come out of the art class and i knocked her books down in the commotion, i bent down to help her with her things
"i'm so sorry! here let me help you!" then i saw it..the feather..it must've fell off me in the hustling about, and then i looked up at her..it was the sad girl from the corner of the art room... "You! i mean, you look so..familiar..have we met before? somewhere??" I looked at the feather again.."oh those stupid things!", i snatched them up and shoved them into the pockets of my jeans as i handed her things to her, "i have a bird at home..." i lied through my fake smile. "Ah.. I see.. Is this a profession, or are you a victim of circumstance?" He walked up the stairs on a slight angle behind him. "I've never eaten at Okiku's before. But I am sure with your sister working there I would die of Garlic Overdose." He smirked taking on this comic book persona.
"I would like to think that.. It is not that complex of a system to see through.." He looked once he was on the roof and breathed in deeply. "It is much better up here.. far away from the psychosis inducing vapors from the girls bathroom. He walked more towards the middle of the roof and sat on the ground. "If I were Dracula.. what would happen to me again? Being in the sun?" He gazed up at the sky watching the clouds race by and thought about Friday once more. "There is something that still bothers me.. You say those were dangerous thugs.. more so than what is normal.. What business would you have with such people?" |
::I rubbed my head "ugh, i keep falling today..." i stood up and picked up my stuff too, eveyone stepping over us. "Im Risa, and I dont think we've met before" i noticed that my feathers fell out, but before i could pick them up, she swiped them off the marble floor "oh, i see.." I smiled at her "what kind of bird?? I love animals!" i brought my stuff to my side and watched everyone scurry out of the building.
"Do you go here?? ive never seen you around before..." i look into her familiar eyes:: |
Kane linked his fingers in the chain link fence and chuckled.
"Victim...all the way." He turned and shook his head. "No actually, it's a really good place to eat, Juri's just a waitress. She might spill coffee on you though...so I'd avoid her tables as much as possible." "Huh? Oh." Kane never really had that long of an attention span when it came to outdoors. "You'd die in a firey exlplosion." He exaggerated of course..but he always did like explosions...so pretty. At Zahara's question, he paused, then slowly turned. "I'm not even sure myslef. I've been told that it's my hair color...that red makes people mad or something...but...." He looked out over the school. "I'm not so sure about that any more." He grinned in true Kane fashion. "Maybe I just like to fight." |
:"uhhh..uhh..a cockatoo!" i didnt know of any other kinds of birds, i just hoped she wouldnt ask about the damn thing again as i stared deeply into her warm eyes.."risa? pretty name! uhh, well i start school here tomorrow, i just didnt wanna get lost so i came over today to get a look around and here i am just mumbling on and on!" i chuckled and rubbed the back of my head:

::i smile then my eyes widen "OH! I forgot about Juri!!" I take her hand "come with me" i run, dragging her behind me to my locker, i throw my stuff in and head up to the roof "i hope he's still here..." sweat runs down my brow "i hope Juri is okay..." i whisper.
I burst the door open, panting heavily, the breeze picks up and a flock of birds fly behind past behind me in a formed fashion:: |

"Ah.. well, I should visit this place sometime.. and not order coffee.." He laughed nervously and stared at his shoes. "A firey explosion you say?" He combed his hair back away from in front of his face with his fingers. "I wonder what color I'd explode into" "So these particular thugs dislike you because of your hair color?" He looked to the side not buying his indirect answer at all. "They say bulls are enraged when seeing the color red. But in actuality they are colorblind creatures and are enraged because they are often prodded and beaten before having things waved in their face.." After this he remained quiet wondering what kind of reaction he would get out of him. |
"That would be a good idea. Juri's really a klutz, but you have to forive her..." Kane turned and stared a moment.
"Black....I'd say black." Kane quirked his eyebrow and then jackknifed into a position where he could stare at Zahara face to face. "You're just full of useless information aren't you?" He queried....until Risa bust through the door. "Risa?" He noticed she had a friend and he cocked his head. "What's up? Class over already? Jerks chasing you?" He cracked his knuckles as he talked, not angry, but he would fight if it came to it. |
:she suddenly jerked into crazy mode and grabbed my hand before i hand time to say anything i had chased my new friend up to the roof where we found ourselves with two other guys, one strange looking man and the other quite handsome, the handsome guy had a confused look to himself
i was quite confused myself and i just stood next to Risa with my short dark hair flowing with the wind, "what's going on?": |
