Theodore sighed softly, though with content as he was held close again. "Tobias...Can.. Can we..?" He whispered, trailing off a bit, embarrassed. He could feel the man's hesitance to do much more than merely hold him close in his warm embrace, but the fiery boy wished for more while things where quiet once more and hey were alone.
+++ THe kitten finally curled up with the bird, draping one paw across Aidan's feathered belly as he kept him pinned to the ground there, nuzzling him affectionately. ((Well... I'm indecisive ;D but I think it would be interesting if Aidan came back to some extent >.> *loves drama*)) |
He found Theodore's soft beggings so cute. Smiling, he started slow, kissing him upon his brutalized lips and face.
*** Feeling there was a chance to revive the fire mage, Aviar rose to consult the court members who traveled along with the group. He wanted Aidan back... ((Tadah xD)) |
Theodore smiled and blushed faintly, though not much to minimize the bleeding from the sewn up slices through his pretty cheeks. He kissed him back each time those lips pressed along his slightly bruised lips, a little more plush than usual because of the swelling they endured after being stitched closed by his assailant.
His fingers softly brushed along Toby's arms and neck before stroking over his cheeks. "Mmn..." ((yay ;D Now >.> We just have to wait for him to come back and let things play out keke! Poor Theo xD; I think He might be quite lost soon ;DDD )) |
Tobias woke up, feeling a little chilled after their little escapade. He pulled the blankets over Theodore's body to make sure he was warm and held him. He was cute asleep.
*** Sloane batted at the pile of feathers. He could barely smell Aidan's scent. Watching the group, he edged away as an ominous feeling overwhelmed him. The kitten scampered back to Theodore's room quickly, pawing at the door. |
Theodore woke up at the mewling at pawing at the door, rubbing at his eyes slowly before opening them. He was warm and cozy, unsure if he wanted to get up and let the fluff ball in.
He did though, crawling out of bed with a kiss to Tobias since he realized he was awake, crawling over his body with a little groan and he stole the blanket right off the bed with a giggle, wrapping it around himself like he was a girl before opening the door a bit to let the panicked kitten in. "There you are..." |
The kitten tumbled in, for it was still standing upon his hind legs and batting at the door. Tobias was occupied by trying to cover himself, but chuckled at the sight when he glimpsed it in the corner of his eye. He cooed for little Sloane over, which the creature obliged, bounding up onto the bed and into his lap to receive the attention of soft caresses to his head and back.
|
Theodore smiled as he shut the door lightly and crawled back into bed with Tobias and the kitten, snuggling up with them both and petting Sloane now as well as he let them both wrap back up in the blanket he'd stolen from Tobias. "Where've you been?" He asked the little kitten, though he knew there wasn't going to be an answer from him as he played with the fuzzy creature.
|
Tobias laid back down. There was a slight feeling of magic being utilized somewhere. Remnants of it was lingering on Sloane's fur. He pet him idly, not thinking much about it.
|
Theodore laid back down with him, yawning a little, just barely because of the stitches, making a face at how sore he was. The boy sighed and rested his head softly against Tobias' shoulder, starting to drift to sleep yet again. After everything he'd been through, especially the blood loss from his mutilated face, he was exhausted and he needed to get as much rest as he could to continue healing up. "Mmn~"
Sloane simply curled up with them and purred that heavy loving purr, enjoying the feeling of Tobias stroking his fluffy fur. |
Tobias closed his eyes and sighed against Theodore and the kitten, sleeping himself once more.
*** Nybari walked into the largest room of the inn and stared at the sight of blood. There were still feathers scattered about the floor. "What...is going on in here?" she murmured. Aviar glanced over, a child in his hands. "It's none of your concerns," he replied shortly. She responded by rolling her eyes. The princess disliked how cold he could get. *** The storms were no creation of nature. From the mists and rains exploded hordes of warriors with their faces painted orange. Like the bursts of sun rays, they shot out from the horizon and spilled across the lands. They left behind flames and pools of crimson blood. As they approached the hamlet, screams were emitted. The thunder of their hooves coincided with the strikes of lightning. The chaos spurred all of the Elementals to their feet. Even Tobias rose from the distressed cries of the citizens to dress and hurry out without a word. Arturo and Deodar, at the best advantage for their powers, used the waters to fuel their defensive and offensive powers against the Northern Raiders. |
Theodore woke at the feeling of the bed shifting with Tobias' hasty movements and sat up quickly at hearing screams. He hardly got a word out of his mouth before Tobias was dressed and running out of the room. "T-Tobias!" He cried, scrambling up to get dressed now as well.
He tucked Sloane into his shirt, not daring to leave him behind and he pushed the windows open to look out. Those were the North Raiders? He knew by their orange faces. The boy didn't want to just sit around and do nothing! He could help, couldn't he? He feared he'd just be a liability though and he was sure Tobias wouldn't approve of him trying to fight too. Besides, with the rain, how strong would his flames be? He panicked silently, finally hurrying out to see what he could do. |
The mages divided themselves up. With chaos ensuing, they had to defend the inn at all costs. No harm could come to the members of royalty and the court if they wanted to live another day.
With the harsh winds and rainfall, Arturo, Deodar, and Boreas were fueled. Tobias divided them up, but found it hard to see and mobilize as the merciless rains clouded their sight. Weaponry and magic strikes sung out through the elements. Utter turmoil. Seeing the boy hurry out, Elidion grasped his wrist and pulled him back into the inn. |
Theodore gasped as he was grabbed and pulled back, swinging his gaze up with a little squeaked cry. "E-Elidion!" He didn't fight the hold, Sloane popping his head out of the boy's shirt and mewling at them.
He looked out the inn and furrowed his brow, frowning a bit. He wanted to help, but what good would he be? It was probably good the man had managed to grab him before he'd gotten himself killed out there. |
"Stay with me and my lady," Elidion said, taking the boy to the room upstairs. "It's not safe for you to run out there. What will your lover say?" he asked with a slight smirk after catching the scent of sweat and his partner.
Aeros looked at the two as they entered. "This is Theodore. We're going to watch over him until this scuffle outside is over." |
Theodore blushed and sighed, nodding a little. He knew Tobias would not have liked it, not a bit. He walked up with Elidion to the room and looked up at Aeros with a faint, worried smile in greeting.
Sloane kept at the top of Theo's shirt, nuzzling up against the boy's chin with another mewl. |
Aeros patted for the boy to sit on the bed and relax. Her light green eyes turned out to look out the window. But it was futile to sense anything but hear the screams, clanks of metal, and bursts of magic in the rages of the water.
"Aren't you going to do anything?" she finally asked Elidion. The Elite chuckled. "I will if your life is in danger, my lady." She rolled her eyes. "I can take care of myself..." |
Theodore sat on the bed with the kitten in his top still, looking out the window after a moment. He was so worried and it showed on his face. He was afraid Tobias would get hurt, or worse... he didn't even want to think about it but the sounds of the battle made it a hard thought to ignore.
"Tobias..." He whispered and sighed, bringing a hand to his face and looking down. He didn't like being so helpless; so useless. |
Early in the morning, the rains stopped. The Northern Raiders fled off, scattering in small clumps. The exhausted townspeople picked up their wounded and dead from the streets. They would clean up the devastation of their homes later. Much later. They wept and shuddered in fright. Why them? Why did this happen?
The mages regrouped, working to wrap up their injuries. Glancing around, they realized Tobias was missing. |
Theodore hadn't slept at all through the night, sick with worry. As soon as he was able to go out again, he hurried out to find the mages so he could find Tobias. The boy was shocked to find that no one knew where he was, that he was missing and Theo felt the tears burn at his eyes and fall down his face. Not again. He couldn't lose anyone else, why did this keep happening to him?
Running outside, THeodore yelled for his lover, searching for Tobias. "Toby!! Tobias, please!" He ran barefoot through the bloody and muddy streets in search of the mage. "Tobias!!" |
Despite their worry for the child, they were exhausted. Some of their crippling pain was held back with gritted jaws. None of them had escaped unharmed. All wanted to lay down for sleep.
Elidion has watched the boy worry and wait all night long. He dared not sleep and leave his Aeros to danger. But with all calm in the hamlet, he questioned others what had become of Theodore. Finding out he had run off, he rose and hurried after him, shouting for him. |
Theodore had tumbled into a muddy puddle, his arms and knees scraped from the fall and he just stayed down, his elbows propping him up as he tried, hitting at the murky water. He'd looked everywhere for Tobias. "Tobias!!!!" He yelled again, blood slipping down his lower face as he strained his stitches a bit. "Whyy... why... T-Tobias, where are you?!"
|
Elidion managed to find the child, swimming in the muddy waters. He knelt beside him and touched his head. "Your wounds," he murmured. "Come now, we need to get you cleaned up. A search team will find him. Don't worry, Theodore."
|
Theodore sobbed softly, letting go of some of the mud he had clenched in his hands and he slowly started to get him, nodding a little. "I.. I don't want him to be gone.. H-he can't.. can't.. nnghhn..." He was a mess, falling apart at the thought of losing anyone else.
If Tobias was dead, he didn't know if he'd even want to keep on living himself... It seemed that everyone he met or who came with him met their demise...He was sure he was cursed. |
Sighing, the Elite returned to the inn with the boy. Moving through the mud, bodies, and magic scorched remains left his once brilliant clothing sopping wet and dirty. He tried hard to ignore the result of his appearance, but it still ached him inside. That egotistical voice pestered him.
At the inn Aviar spoke to the mages as they were tended to, a raven haired child in his arms. |
Theodore returned with him, covered in mud, blood and sopping wet from falling in that puddle, even a mess into his pretty hair. He was starting to shiver in those wet, cold clothes.
The boy quieted down on their way back to the inn, his crying ceasing and the only sound he made now was the soft ragged breathes as he tried to calm down the rest of the way and the shuddering breathes he soon started to give as he shivered, so cold. Theodore wanted to go back to see the mages again, to see if Tobias has shown up while he had searched, to see if maybe he'd come back to him. He voiced this quietly and then fell silent once more. It seemed he'd lost most of his will to speak, that sweet boy with the warm smile locked up deep inside him yet again. |
