Karia nodded. "I miss, well, everything. I forgot why we were thrown out." It was another thing that Karia had no memory of. She couldn't recall the exact reason they were thrown out, but she could remember a fire... but that was all. "Do you remember, Sanoko?"

"Maybe we started a fire or something. Sorry I don't really remember." Sanoko said. She didn't remember that for the fact that she just didn't want to remember it. She remembered little bit, but not enough to say what happened.

"Wow, it's like somebody wanted us to forget it," Karia told her. It was strange how neither of them seemed to remember the important stuff.

"Well I can't remember because I just don't want to." Sanoko said looking at her.

"You sure? Maybe your mind is just playing tricks on you, you never know," Karia told her. She always believed their was a solution for everything, or even a reason.

Sanoko shrugged. "Maybe, maybe not? I probably won't know if that's true or not."

Karia sat down against the tree. She was thinking of how much she wanted to return to the city. She did think that life in the wilderness was fun, but sometimes it was a drag. "Sanoko, do you think I'm a little hard on you sometimes?"

Sanoko looked at her. "What do you mean? No not really." she said and looked in the direction to the city. She sighed slightly.

Karia sighed also. "Even though I'm only a couple months older I still seem to act as though I'm 5 years older than you. I'm sorry if I seem a little over protective, it's just I'm constantly worried. We've known eachother since childhood, I mean."

"It's ok it's just they way you are. It's your personality you can't really help it." Sanoko said with a small smile.

"Thanks Sanoko," Karia told her, smiling also.

"So is the food done?" Sanoko asked her.
|
"Yes, but it is a good thing we got Teka with us," Karia told Sanoko. "Don't you think we should set off right about now?"

Sanoko nodded. "Yeah I think we should head out right about now, some time soon, or right now."

Karia was already 10 feet ahead of Sanoko, "Hurry up, or I'll leave ya behind." Karia looked back at her and winked. She decided from this day on she'd act more like a friend and less like an older sister.

Sanoko got up and ran to catch up with Karia. She stopped running when she reached her.

"Finally you caught up," Karia said, half laughing. "I thought you decided to stay here!"

Sanoko laughed slightly. "No I didn't, I wouldn't want to stay there alone."

Karia grinned, "You probably couldn't survive if me and Teka weren't here. You've either die of hunger and or die of lonliness."

"Yeah I guess that's true." Sanoko said with a small smile.

"You think I'm wrong, don't you." Karia asked. She always knew if there was something wrong.
|
Sanoko shook her head. "No I don't think that you're wrong."
|
"Okay then," Karia said. They passed one of the rivers.
"If you want a drink get it now cause I don't know how many rivers we are going to come across." She filled up the water jugs. |
"Ok." Sanoko said. She then got herself a drink. She was then ready to continue on.

Karia filled the last of the jugs, "Okay, we are ready to continue. Should we send Teka to look for food?"
