LaRae watched when Nanashi said goodbye and finally started to head back to the room. She turned slightly like she was going to follow after him but continued to stand where she was. She did want to go with him but thought she would let him have some time to himself, in case he wanted it. She also wasn't as uncomfortable now as she was before. She was kind of glad that the snake had gone away. She glanced back towards Levana for a moment and then took a couple steps back over to where she'd been standing before.
Levana smiled after Nanashi bowed slightly and said goodbye. "Have a good rest." She told him and then watched as he walked away. She glanced over at Marius for a moment when she heard the comment he made and then nodded slightly. "At least it wasn't boring." She said with a quiet chuckle. Once LaRae had moved to stand back where she had been it caught her attention and she looked over at her. She was still curious about why LaRae acted so much differently than Nanashi when she looked like a halfbreed too. She finally gave in to her curiosity and stepped over to her. She didn't bother saying anything, she just smiled and lifted her hands up. "Don't mind me." She said quietly then started patting her head from about her ears around to her forehead until she hit the little stumps and then quirked a brow. She pushed her bangs out of the way and looked at the two little bumps protruding from her head. "...That explains quite a bit." She said as she lowered her hand from LaRae's head and watched her bangs fall back into place. Now that she was thinking about it she remembered Aamori spending a decent amount of time with a girl with stumpy little horns like that when she was younger. It'd been quite awhile since then so she barely remembered that much about it or the girl Aamori had hung out with.
Aamori stared at Levana when she walked up to LaRae and started touching her head like she was. She shook her head when she realized that Levana was looking for some sort of horns on LaRae. It probably would've been easier to just ask her if she had some than to go touching her head like that until she found them but she couldn't really say anything; She'd have probably done the same thing. "I'm sure you noticed by now, but, LaRae isn't a halfbreed." She paused. "And don't bother telling her she should wear her hair so that her horns show... she won't do it." She told her. She knew LaRae hated the way her horns looked and she hated people seeing them. She'd always been like that, even when they were little.
Zale by now had grown tired of waiting on Kanone to come back and play with him and had made himself comfortable on the floor. He had wanted to continue playing but his patience just kind of went out the window and he decided to lay there and rest before he needed to go back to the docks.

Celestine glanced up when he saw Levana going toward LaRae and then raised an eyebrow when she started touching her head. He blinked and then shook his head again. "...Hands on, aren't we?" he said quietly, mostly to himself, though he could probably still be heard if anyone was listening. So far he was pretty sure that he and Kanone were the only two here that her hands hadn't been anywhere near their head. He could imagine that LaRae was too keen on having her head patted around on looking for her stumps, but then again this was an elder so he doubted she'd say anything about it.
Kanone sighed softly now that Nanashi was gone and glanced back over toward Zale. He shook his head slightly when he saw that he'd just curled up on him already. Honestly, was he standing over here that long? He started to turn to go back in that general direction, but stopped in mid-step when he heard Marius speaking to him.
Marius watched Levana as she started feeling LaRae's head over for her horns and couldn't help but chuckle. "Wouldn't it have been easier to just ask?" he asked in an amused tone. He glanced over to Kanone when he noticed him getting ready to sneak off again and cleared his throat softly, "Kanone, are you ever going to introduce yourself?" he asked simply as he crossed his arms again. He blinked when he felt the headdress still on his arm and then sighed and moved to go put it back on the bag, though he paused then he saw Celestine sitting there looking broody as usual. He smiled slightly and playfully dropped the headdress on top of his head, somehow managing to even get the chain in the right position over his horn. "Aww it looks good on you." he said playfully.
Celestine blinked and then glanced up before he sighed heavily and reached up to slip the headdress off. "Too bad" he said bluntly before he set the headdress aside on top of the bag. "You can keep it."
Kanone just grinned sheepishly when Marius asked him if he was ever going to introduce himself and then watched him go over to pester Celestine. He snickered at the sight of Celestine int he headdress and then shook his head and looked back to Levana after Aamori was finished speaking. He smiled warmly, "Well, I guess you gathered this already, But I'm Kanone." he said lightly, obviously having little problem speaking to her even with her title.

LaRae just stood there quietly when Levana came closer to her though she stared at her with a rather blank expression on her face while Levana was touching her head. She couldn't really say that she liked having Levana touching her head like she was and she certainly wasn't that happy finding out that the only reason she'd even done this was to look for her horns. She tried her best to keep a straight face while she waited for her to leave her alone. Since she was an Elder she didn't want to say anything about it. Had she been just some regular person she'd have smacked her hands away as soon as they got that close to her head. As soon as Levana took her hands away she took a couple steps back and proceeded to run her hands over her bangs to make sure that they still covered her stumpy horn remnants. She glanced over to Aamori briefly when she mentioned what she had about wearing her hair differently and nodded slightly. She was right, she'd never wear her hair differently at least not so that her stumps showed.
Levana glanced over to Aamori when she started talking about LaRae and her hair. She had thought briefly of mentioning to LaRae that she should wear her hair differently so that her horns were visible, which in turn would save her from being mistaken for a halfbreed. Well... that at least had saved her from saying something. Though, she wasn't at all sure what would make anyone want to be mistaken for a halfbreed. She looked over at Marius when he asked what he had and she smiled slightly. "...I thought it might be a little rude to ask what she was openly like that." She commented quietly. Though, randomly feeling her head for horns probably wasn't any less rude now that she was thinking about it. Oh well, either way she got her question answered. She turned her attention slightly when she heard what Marius had said to Kanone. She didn't think it was that big a deal if he didn't introduce himself, she still knew who he was. She smiled a bit when Kanone did introduce himself and nodded her head slightly. "Yes, and it's nice to meet you."
Aamori shook her head slightly when she heard what Levana had said about it being rude to come right out and ask what LaRae was. She watched briefly as Marius went to go do something with his headdress and then chuckled quietly after she saw him drop it on Celestine's head. Somehow the reaction from Celestine really didn't surprise her. "You don't have to be such a grump about it, Celestine." She just couldn't resist saying something. It wasn't like he was going to get forced into being an Elder or anything.

Marius chuckled at Levana since she apparently hadn't thought before hand that patting LaRae's head to find her horns probably wasn't any less rude until afterward. "Is that where Aamori gets it?" he asked playfully since he had noticed that Aamori was the type to do things before she thought as well. He turned his eyes back down to Celestine while he was setting the headdress aside and then smiled slightly and shook his head. He placed his hand on top of Celestine's head lightly and then messed up his hair just a little while he rubbed his hand around on top of his head. He was still hoping he'd change his mind one of these days, but he wasn't really pushing too hard, just hinting every now and then.
Celestine looked at Aamori and gave her a mildly annoyed look when she said that he didn't have to be such a grump about it, though the look went upward when he felt Marius messing with his hair. "...You know...I was trying to avoid messing my hair up..." he said with a sigh. He pushed Marius' hand away lightly and combed his fingers through his hair to straighten it out a bit. He knew that Marius had dropped the thing on his head as a hint that he still wanted him to consider being an elder if chosen. He was considering it...and he still didn't like the idea all that much, though it had become slightly more appealing after what Hisako had told him before.
Kanone smiled at Levana and nodded. "It's nice to meet you, too." he said warmly, though he couldn't help by glance past her at Marius and Celestine. He snickered when he saw Celestine fussing with his hair, "Yeah, Gramps, you know better than to go messing up his beautiful hair." he said with a snicker, intentionally making it sound more like he was talking about a girl.
Celestine glowered at Kanone and then huffed. "One of these days, Kanone..." he said in a threatening tone. One of these days he was liable to run his fist down Kanone's throat after one of those comments, especially after having to put up with Yoichi while he was here.
Marius just shook his head with a half smile. "You're asking for it, Kanone, and I'm not going to say a word."
Kanone just laughed slightly and then rubbed the back of his head and took a step back. "Right... Iiiiiiiiiiiii think I'm to go back over here." He said as he pointed back over his shoulder to where Zale was laying and started backing up a little more.
Kyiri had been sleeping behind one of the arches in the hallway near the kitchen for a while, but she was finally starting to wake up and soon after decided that it was well past lunch. She stretched as she stood up and then scampered out into the courtyard again. She took notice of the new arrival in the courtyard and then meowed as she scurried over to them. S he came to a stop by Levana's feet and sniffed at the bottom of her skirt for a few moments before looking over to Marius. Well, she knew who he was so she looked back to Levana again and rubbed along her legs for a second before she hopped over to Celestine and bounced up onto his lap, placing both front paws to his chest and meowing the way that she usually did when she was hungry.

Levana looked at Marius when he asked what he did. She chuckled softly and shook her head a little. "I was unaware that Aamori and I had something like that in common." She paused. "Rest assured, I don't usually act before thinking things through. This is just... a much more relaxed atmosphere than I am used to." She said quietly. It really was a little different than she was used to and at least in here, right now, she didn't 'have' to be an Elder. She could just, kind of relax. She looked back to Kanone when he responded to what she had said and then had to look back to Marius and Celestine when she saw Kanone look that way. She shook her head lightly after the exchanges between the three of them and then watched as Kanone had started backing up. Well, this certainly was a lot more entertaining than staying on her island and doing work. She glanced down briefly when she felt something against her legs and couldn't help but smile at the sight of well... what ever that cute looking creature was. She watched as the creature went over and got into Celestine's lap. "It's awfully cute... what is it, exactly?" She asked as she looked at it again. She'd never seen something quite like it before.
Aamori sighed quietly catching the look that was on Celestine's face after what she had said. She immediately looked over at Kanone when she heard what he said about Marius messing up Celestine's hair. She couldn't believe that Kanone was up for teasing even now and by the tone Celestine had used she could tell he certainly wasn't amused even in the slightest. She was starting to think that the only thing Kanone was going to have to worry about on this trip was death-by-Celestine, especially if he continued to pester him like that. She chuckled when Kanone wound up saying that he was going back over towards Zale and then started backing up. She didn't think any amount of backing up would save Kanone from Celestine, if Celestine really wanted to to get at him. She shifted her glance when she spotted Kyiri near Levana and then watched her as she headed for Celestine.
LaRae continued to stand there for a moment, briefly. When it looked like Levana's attention was elsewhere she started to turn away. She was a little annoyed still and had really wished that she'd just left when Nanashi had. She would have saved herself from having Levana feeling around on her head just for a pair of horns that she could easily have asked about. She sighed heavily and started to head back to the room that she and Nanashi had been using. Once she reached the door she paused for a moment before opening it and slipping inside. After she was inside she pushed the door shut as she backed up against it and sighed again while she shook her head. She certainly could live without meeting someone for the first time and having them doing something like that.

Celestine smiled when Kyiri jumped up into his lap and then laughed softly and shook his head. "Already? You just got up." he said as he stroked her fur like he understood her perfectly. He did know that she wanted... she was after more of that chicken. He looked up to Levana while he stroked her and then shrugged slightly. "Her name is Kyiri. I'm not really sure what she is...other than hungry." he said with a quiet laugh since she was nudging his chin. "I found her wondering around the woods a good while back and took her home."
"She's a spoiled rotten feline!" Kanone called from halfway across the courtyard. "What did you do to her anyway, she's been driving me nuts the last few days, I can't move without tripping all over her."
Celestine raised an eyebrow at Kanone. "...I guess she just feels like being affectionate." He said simply. He stroked her fur again and then sighed and picked her up. "Alright." he said when she squalled again. He looked over to Levana again and held her out. "...You can hold her of you want...but be careful, she does have claws." he said simply. He thought he would give her some warning considering that Kyiri was so cute and cuddly some people seemed to overlook the fact that there were some pretty sharp claws under all of that fur. "She's demanding lunch right now." He waited to see if Levana wanted her, but if not he'd just set her back on the grass for now. "Be good, Kyiri." he told her before he started to move toward the hallway, spying LaRae as she snuck off as well. He couldn't really blame her for getting out of dodge, he probably would have wanted to as well. He sighed as he reached the kitchen and stepped inside.
Marius watched Celestine with Kyiri and then smiled and shook his head. After Celestine had walked off he laughed softly, "Honestly, the way he babies all of these animals. I think he'd own a zoo if he could find a place for every animal he got attached to." He said simply. "Well at least we know he should make a devoted parent when he reaches that age." he said with a chuckle.
Kanone grinned, "Aamori already thinks that bird of his thinks he's it's mommy." He said with a laugh. He finally looked back and flopped down beside Zale before he started to mess with his fur again. "Hey there buddy, you tired already?" he asked with a smile.
Nanashi looked up when he heard the door open and then sighed softly when he saw that it was LaRae. He sat himself up and then looked at her with a weak smile. "...What's wrong?" he asked softly before he stood up and walked over to her again. He was feeling a little better now that he'd gotten to lay down and relax for a few minutes, so he was pretty sure he wasn't going to fall over again anytime soon. He placed his hand on her shoulder and then leaned his head over against hers lightly. "...Sorry if I worried you..."

Levana merely looked at Kyiri while Celestine spoke about her and then chuckled a little when he said that she was hungry. She clearly wanted something with the way she'd meowed at him. She turned her head slightly to look over at Kanone when he yelled from across the courtyard. She looked back to Celestine and Kyiri when he held her out and said that she could hold her if she wanted. She wasn't so sure that she wanted to deal with claws. She shook her head a little but did reach out to pet Kyiri's head a little. "Thanks anyway." She didn't really hate cats but she didn't love them either. The fact that Kyiri was really cute did help some, but she still didn't want to hold her. She watched as he put Kyiri on the ground and then started for the kitchen. When Marius spoke she glanced back to Kyiri briefly and then looked over at him and smiled a little. She didn't really know how Celestine was with animals and this was the first that she'd really even seen him with one and it didn't even really look like he was babying the cat. She was hungry and needed to be fed. After hearing Kanone's comment she chuckled lightly then tilted her head slightly. "How many animals does he look after exactly?" So far a bird and cat didn't exactly seem like the best of mixes.
Aamori laughed quietly when Kanone called Kyiri a spoiled rotten feline. Unfortunately she did kind of agree. All Kyiri had to do was meow a certain way and Celestine would probably drop what he was doing just to tend to her. She froze briefly when Kanone asked what he had done to Kyiri and then couldn't help but put her hand over her mouth while tried not to laugh. She knew what had happened to Kyiri all too well and the fact that neither Celestine or Kanone was aware of it made her want to burst out laughing. She was trying to contain her laughter though since it was supposed to be a secret between her and Kyiri. Once Kyiri was on the ground and Celestine had gone towards the kitchen she moved over to kneel down beside Kyiri. She smiled softly and reached out to rub her head gently. "I'll get you something really nice again tonight." She whispered quietly. After all, it was easier to spoil Kyiri when no one was really looking and after most everyone had gone to bed it was pretty easy to put something out for her and then have it cleaned up again before someone saw.
Zale lifted his head up a little when Kanone finally came back over and had started messing with his fur. 'I got tired of waiting, that's all.' He paused. 'I have to go back to the docks soon, too.' He said an then rolled onto his side and stretched out a little. He could easily have gotten back up and started playing again but he was pouting for lack of better words. After all, Kanone had said he'd play with him as long as he wanted. He didn't know that meant he could take breaks; Even if the break he took was to see if Nanashi okay.
LaRae lifted her eyes when she heard Nanashi ask what was wrong and watched as he walked over. She sighed quietly. "After you left Levana started touching my head..." She paused. "...I don't like it when people go searching for my horns and I certainly don't like others seeing those stumps that used to be horns." She said quietly. She smiled slightly when he leaned his head against hers. "...You're okay, so don't worry about it."

Kyiri purred when Levana stroked her head and then licked at her hand before she could pull it away. She looked after Celestine when he started off and then sat down where he'd left her. She looked at Aamori when she knelt down by her and then her ears perked up when she heard what she'd whispered. She mewed and then hopped up and began rubbing around her legs while purring so loudly that someone could probably hear her most of the way across the court yard.
Marius chuckled softly when Levana asked how many animals he looked after. "In all honestly, however many happen to be around at the time." He said simply, "He took in Kyiri, I caught wind of some eagle chick that he found in an abandoned nest and named Lani, though I believe it's grown by now, and right now he's been looking after Kyran's pet, Nobu, for the most part. I'm sure if Zale stayed around him long enough he'd take to caring for him as well." He chuckled softly, "He's always been like that with animals. When he was little he actually used to cry if he even so much as found a dead mouse. He takes in birds, rodents, snakes..." he just chuckled and shook his head, sure she had to point by now. "So there is no way under the sun I could give you an exact number."
Kanone sighed softly and shook his head while he stroked Zale, though he couldn't help but hear what Marius was saying. He laughed and shook his head. "He used to cry if you looked at him the wrong way." he pointed out with a snort. He looked back down to Zale again and continued messing with his fur. "Awww come on, you're not going to lay there and pout because I wanted to make sure my friend wasn't hurt are you?" he asked quietly, keeping his voice low enough that only Zale could hear him. He sighed and patted his side lightly. "...Well, maybe we can try again some other time when there's not so much going on." he said simply.
Marius glanced back to Kanone when he heard him and then sighed and shook his head before he half smiled, "And as I recall that was usually him...or if it wasn't he was out trying to find whoever it was to beat an apology out of them." he said with a soft laugh, though he'd lowered his voice, hopefully low enough that Kanone couldn't hear him anymore.
Celestine was only in the kitchen long enough to ask Annan for something for Kyiri and then hurried thanked him and hurried back out once he'd gotten it for him. He still didn't spend much more time in the kitchen other than to get what he needed and leave since the day he'd stood there like a dunce asking about the strange fruits. Once he'd gotten back out to the courtyard he stopped and stood still when Kyiri darted away from Aamori and ran to climb up his skirt tail and up onto his shoulder. He shook his head and just walked back over to the fountain before he sat the little bowl down on the grass only to have Kyiri dive right back off of his shoulder and dig in.
Nanashi sighed softly when he heard what she said and then shook his head slightly. He raised his head up off of hers again and then placed his hand to her cheek and gently ran his fingers along her cheek bone a couple of times before he smiled slightly. "I guess you look a little too much like me to act the exact opposite." he said with a slight smile. He raised his hand to her forehead and dusted her bangs out of the way before he leaned to plant a kiss right between her little stumps. "...You know...if they aren't too sensitive, we could always sand them down a little so they're not so jagged..if you think that would make them any better." he said softly, "...I still don't see anything wrong with them." he said simply. "They're just part of what makes you, you." He wrapped both arms around her and then kissed each one of her stumps in turn. "Don't let it bother you too much... I'm sure she was just curious." he said with a soft chuckle, "And...apparently she's a little touchy-feely. ...She seemed nice, though." he said with a smile. He did at least seem to like her after he got over being afraid of her.

01-03-2009, 11:26 PM
Levana listened quietly while Marius was answering her question. So far it seemed that Celestine really only had two permanent pets; Kyiri and Lani. Then this Nobu that belonged to someone else. Three wasn't all that bad, obviously the number could've been a lot worse and Zale, well, he didn't exactly have an owner and everyone in the area just kind of took care of him. Between the all the guards, towns people and cooks in the area he was well looked after. Zale had even been offered a home a couple times and he always seemed to refuse and she wasn't exactly sure why. Perhaps he preferred just being everyone's pet? She looked at Marius once he was finished and smiled slightly. "I think with Kyiri and Lani he may want to steer clear of rodents." She chuckled quietly. She wasn't particularly fond of rodents, she could live without them and thankfully there weren't many, if any at all on the main islands. She was the type to freak out a little at the sight of a rat or even a mouse and that was such a silly thing to be frightened of in her opinion. Here she could handle scary looking snakes, large canines, big birds, giant man eating sharks and yet... a little tiny furry mouse was enough to pluck at her fear. She turned her head slightly when she heard Kanone speak and then shook her head lightly. So far it seemed Celestine was quite the sensitive type though, clearly, he didn't like to show it. She looked back to Marius when he spoke again with a lower voice. She smiled and shook her head a little. "They're more like brothers than cousins." She commented quietly.
Aamori smiled down at Kyiri when she started rubbing against her legs and then laughed quietly at how loud she was purring. "Quiet! You don't want anyone to catch on do you?" She said so quietly she was practically whispering. She for the most part had been ignoring the conversation that Levana and Marius were having with added Kanone-commentary. She'd pretty much already known or heard what was being talked about so it wasn't like it was pertinent new knowledge. Well, other than hearing that he'd cry at the sight of a dead mouse. That was kind of new to her though it didn't exactly surprise her. She startled a little when Kyiri darted away from her. She watched her, lifting her eyes to see where she was headed. Though it was more than obvious. She smiled a bit seeing the way that Kyiri got up to Celestine's shoulder. She started to stand back up right and adjusted her dress while Celestine had headed for the fountain. She looked back long enough to watch Kyiri dive for the bowl and then she shook her head lightly. With as much as Kyiri was getting to eat she really hoped that she didn't start putting any more weight on or else it would be obvious that someone was feeding her more than she probably needed to be fed. It probably didn't help very much either that she'd taken the time to ask Annan to prepare special meals for Kyiri and only she knew where they were located in the fridge. So on top of the nice ones that he made that Celestine knew about there were even better ones, made with finer meats and sauces.
Zale didn't bother lifting his head or really even moving after he laid on his side. He felt like pouting and by God he was going to. He didn't even respond to Kanone when he brought up him pouting because he had wanted to make sure that his friend was okay. That was on the money. That was the only reason he was pouting and the only reason he was holding it against him. He might not have cared that Kanone took that break if Nanashi had actually been hurt but no... the guy was fine... play time wasted for nothing. He still didn't respond when Kanone had said maybe they could try again when there wasn't so much going on. That did sound nice... but he had wanted to play today, that was the only reason he came over. He wanted someone with a lot of energy to play with and those guards could only handle him for long before they were tired and trying to get him to take a nap or something.
Yoichi finally managed to get out from the work that Hisako was keeping him busy with. There was a lot more useless stuff for him to do today which he thought was a little odd. It was more than what she normally gave him and it made him work right through his usual lunch break. When he made it to the top of the stairs from the lower level and had shut the door behind him he let out a quiet, relieved sigh. He was more than ready to take some time to relax and maybe get something to eat. He started to take a couple steps down the hall to head to the kitchen and stopped almost dead in his tracks when he saw Lady Levana. That... certainly wasn't what one usually wasn't what one saw here in the training building. After all, Levana had already spent her years here so she didn't often come here unless she really needed to. His eyes traveled over to the other wind dragon that he saw near her and then he had to do a head count. He didn't remember that one and he'd only met Celestine and his cousin. So... with those two in sight and this one... that made three? He shook his head a little and was about to continue on to the kitchen. Since Levana hadn't seen him yet it wasn't necessarily rude to sneak off to the kitchen without addressing her. He didn't make it very far though. He managed another step and then felt massive paws thrust into his back causing him to stagger a bit before he took another step and then to the side to get out of the canine's way. "Okay, okay! I'm sorry, Zale." He paused and laughed quietly. "I should've said hello to you as soon as I saw you." He said as he reached down and rubbed the top of his head.
Zale's ears perked slightly when he heard the sound of one of the doors opening. It didn't take him very long to guess who it was. He started to sit up a little, lifting his head so that he could see Yoichi. He stared at him and his ears fell slightly when he didn't acknowledge him or even say hello. After a moment, once Yoichi looked like he was headed off again he got to his feet and quickly made a dash for him; Throwing his paws up in the process to smack into his back. He'd done this enough times to Yoichi that it stopped knocking him over and Yoichi usually just stepped to the side and out of the way. He wagged his tail happily when Yoichi finally said something to him and even apologized for having not said something sooner. He stood briefly before reaching over and nipping part of Yoichi's pants and tugging on them a little. Obviously ready to play again and aiming to get Yoichi to entertain him this time.
LaRae sighed softly after the first thing that Nanashi had said. She was kind of used to the negative comments and stuff that came along with looking like a halfbreed and she still rather enjoyed the looks on peoples faces when she showed her stumps herself. But she was thrown completely off guard when someone else took it upon themselves to search for her horns. It was like being strip searched for something someone suspected you had that you shouldn't. She shut her eyes gently when she felt him brush her bangs out of the way. She blushed and then cracked her eyes open a little when she felt that he'd kissed her between her little stumps. She stared at him for a moment when he suggested sanding her stumps down and then shook her head. "...They're not really all that ...sensitive anymore." She paused. "But I ...I don't want anything of the sort near my head or whats left of my horns ...ever again." She said quietly. She had such bad memories attached to when she lost her horns and.. well.. that was the first memory that she could even remember. She did try to push it to the back of her mind and not worry about it but the memory had a bad habit of showing up from time to time, especially after someone saw her stumpy little horns for the first time. She sighed softly and then only blushed more when Nanashi kissed each of her stumps. At least one of the two of them didn't mind them the way they were. She was at least starting to come around and not being bothered so much by her lack of horns. That of course was only thanks to Nanashi constantly saying that he didn't see anything wrong with them, or that he liked them. She smiled slightly when he said that Levana was just curious. "Yeah... I know." She paused. "She thought it'd be rude to outright ask me about it. So... she got hands on." She would have much rather had Levana ask then start touching her head but it was a little late for that. "Aside from her randomly searching my head for buried treasure... yeah... she seems nice."

Marius couldn't help but chuckle when she said that having rodents with Lani and Kyiri around wouldn't be such a good idea. He just smiled again when she said that they were more like brothers than cousins and nodded. "Yesh, they are...they've always been close, but then they were raised like brothers for a good while..." he chuckled, "They certainly fight like brothers." He said simply before he noticed that Celestine was coming back. He smiled and buttoned his lips again, already knowing that Celestine would be angry if he heard him talking about him and he was pretty sure Levana got the hint, too. He laughed softly when he saw Kyiri take off for Celestine and then shook his head a little.
Kanone sighed heavily when Zale didn't respond to him and just patted his side today. "Fine, be that way." he said simply, "I'll just sit there and pout with you." He was just about to get comfortable and use Zale fo a pillow when he suddenly bolted for Yoichi, so rather than land on Zale his head thumped off of the ground. "...Ow. Or not." he said as he turned his head to look at where Zale was running. He laughed slightly and then rolled his eyes as he sat up again before climbing to his feet and dusting himself off. "Traitor!" he called playfully before he shook his head and sighed. "Oh well... Saves me from getting too worn out I guess." He muttered to himself, pretty sure that Zale would run him into the ground if he could. He wasn't going to apologize himself silly for stopping to look after Nanashi. After all, he'd only stopping running around for five minutes tops and if Zale didn't want to keep playing after that well...that was his loss since he'd obviously rather pout of play with someone else.
Celestine smiled slightly at Kyiri and then stroked her back a couple of times before he straightened up and then glanced away again. He turned and looked back up toward the roof, half wondering if Esen was ever going to decide to come down since she had been up there all day. Then again, there were strangers down here so she probably wasn't going to be coaxed down too easily. His attention shifted again when he heard Yoichi's voice from somewhere and he groaned quietly as his ears fell back. He knew Yoichi was just talking to Zale, but knowing that he was up here was enough to make him want to go hide on the roof. Yoichi annoyed him to no end almost every time they got near one another and if what he was saying wasn't just irritating it usually stung his nerves a little.
Marius blinked when he saw the way Celestine suddenly reacted and then glanced around until he spotted the only thing that had really changed. He raised an eyebrow after he caught sigh of the boy who had a remarkable resemblance to Aamori and then his gaze shifted back to Celestine. "Er....friend of yours?" he asked with a soft laugh.
"Just don't let him see me..." he groaned as he moved around to stand somewhere behind Marius. He didn't know how Yoichi would act with his elder standing around there, but he really didn't want to stand around in plain view and find out either.
Nanashi shook his head slightly when he heard her anser to his suggestion about filing her horns. Well...that was certainly understandable. He smiled weakly and then wrapped his arms around her gently and leaned his head against hers again. "Don't worry, it was only a suggestion." he said quietly, "I just thought you might feel better if you could clean up the edges a little." he explained. "No one's going to come at you with a file, I promise." he said with a soft chuckle. He nuzzled against her gently and then kissed her head again before he let her go. He laughed again at her comment about Levana searching for buried treasure and then shook his head. "Well... at least she wasn't mean about it." he said with a slight smile. He sighed and then finally backed up and reached to take her hand. "Well, let's not stand at the door all day." he said with a smile as he tugged her toward the couch. He reached up with his other hand to fix her bangs back the way that she liked them and then went onto sit down.

Levana wasn't at all surprised to hear that Celestine and Kanone fought like brothers. That was already pretty evident just from what little she had seen already. She turned her head and started to look around a little when she heard a familiar voice. She smiled when she spotted Yoichi with Zale and then glanced back to Marius and Celestine. She tilted her head slightly when she heard Celestine tell Marius not to let Yoichi see him and then watched as he moved to try and stand out of sight behind Marius. "...I think that might be the first time I've ever seen someone try to hide from him." She commented. She wasn't sure what Yoichi had done to Celestine to make him want to hide from him. To her, Yoichi was always nice and polite but then again... that could've just been because of who she was. She turned back to look at Yoichi and smiled slightly. She didn't really want to make anyone uncomfortable but Celestine shouldn't have gone to hide behind someone that hadn't met Yoichi yet. Of course she was going to want to introduce them. She lifted her hand up and flagged for Yoichi. "Are you going to say hello to me, or has my being here out of the blue thrown you through a loop?" She asked with a chuckle while she looked at Yoichi and waited to see if he'd come over.
Aamori glanced around a little as well when she heard her brothers voice. Once she saw him with Zale she sighed softly. It wasn't like Hisako could keep Yoichi busy forever and Celestine was lucky that she had managed to keep him downstairs as long as she had. She wasn't all that surprised to see Celestine already preparing to hide from her brother. Though, after hearing that Levana was calling out to Yoichi she knew that it would only be a matter of time before her brother came over and eventually he'd spot Celestine. She wasn't exactly sure she was ready to deal with Celestine after her brother got a hold of him. His mood always went more sour than usual after Yoichi messed with him. She shifted slightly and then moved a bit closer to Marius. She glanced over at Celestine briefly. She pointed back towards her room for a moment. "He has no reason to go in there." She started quietly. "It's a good place to hide, if you want." Her room was probably the best bet since he could probably sneak over there to her door without being seen a lot easier than trying to go to any other room and getting onto the roof without being seen was completely out of the question. Or, he could take his chances with Yoichi and hope that he acted differently around Levana. She'd never been around her brother and Levana while there was someone else that her brother was more interested in so she didn't really know if he was going to act any differently.
Yoichi stared down at Zale when he felt him tugging on his pants. He sighed and reached down to push his head away gently. "You don't have to pull on my pants." He said and then knelt down so that he was on the same level as Zale. He continued to pet him and smiled a bit. It had been some time since he got to play with Zale so he did think he wanted to before Hisako got the chance to drag him back downstairs. His ears laid back and he ducked his head slightly when he heard Levana finally say something to him. He knew it was only a matter of time before she saw him and then he'd have to go talk to her. He had just kind of hoped that he'd have made it over to the kitchen before he'd been spotted but thanks to Zale that didn't exactly happen. He sighed and then started to stand back up. "Come on Zale... after I go say hello we can go play." He said as he started to head over towards Levana.
Zale looked back at Kanone briefly when he called him a traitor and then went right back to paying attention to Yoichi. He continued to stand there and wag his tail while Yoichi was petting him. It didn't usually take too much to get him to agree to play with him so he was really happy to see Yoichi. His ears drooped slightly when he heard Levana call out to him and knew that meant more waiting. He was just very impatient so if he wanted to play and wasn't being giving any attention at all he tended to do like he did to Kanone. He looked at Yoichi and started wagging his tail again when he was told to come and then started after him once he started walking.
LaRae sighed softly and was glad it was only a suggestion. She nodded slightly when he said that he thought she feel better if she could clean up the edges a little. "Maybe... I just don't handle files and things near my head very well." She would probably like her stumps a little more if they were filed down a little and made less jagged than they were but she just couldn't let anything near her stumps long enough for anything to be done to them. She gave a weak laugh when she heard him promise that no one was going to come at her with a file. Oh if only she believed that. Unfortunately for her, her foster sister did know of her fear of sanding utensils near her head and she did like to freak her out a little here and there by pretending like she was going to mess with her stumps. She didn't think that Nanashi could keep Yuriko from doing something like that. She smiled a little when he kissed her head again. "I am glad that she was kind of nice about it... had she been mean about it I don't think I could've kept my mouth shut." She said with a sigh. She glanced down to her hand briefly when he reached for it and tugged on it. She smiled and followed after him when he went to sit down on the couch.

Marius blinked when Celestine moved behind him and then smiled and laughed softly. "What are you doing? I thought you grew out of hiding behind people already." he said with a soft laugh. "What did he do to make you want to hide?" He asked with a soft laugh.
"He thinks I'm a girl!" he hissed from behind Marius.
Marius blinked and then laughed again and shook his head. "Oh my... not again." he said simply before he heard Levana call Yoichi over. He half smiled and then sighed softly, "Haha, I believe your showing up here out of the blue has thrown everyone through a loop. I wasn't even expecting to see you." he admitted. He smiled slightly as he glanced over to the boy when he started in their direction. His eyes wandered to Aamori when he heard her speak, though he looked away again so as to hopefully not draw too much attention to Celestine if he intended to sneak off.
Celestine looked over to Aamori when she pointed toward her room and followed her finger with his gaze. He started to move and then sighed and stopped before he really got anywhere. It was tempting...very tempting, but he wasn't really fond of the idea of going into a girl's room when she wasn't in there and he somehow had the feeling that if Yoichi did happen to see him in there he could imagine that he would be pretty peeved because he really had no business being in Aamori's room anyway. He sighed and looked back at her shyly before shaking his head a little and glancing away. He just sighed heavily when he heard Levana call Yoichi over and gave her a bit of a disgruntled glare from behind Marius's back before he went back into hiding.
Kanone sighed softly when he heard Levana speak to Yoichi and then snickered once he glanced back and saw Celestine trying to hide behind Marius. Well that was something he hadn't seen since Celestine was five; it just reminded him of the way he used to try to hide behind his mother's skirt when he met someone he didn't know. He watched Yoichi head over there with Zale and then smiled slightly and started over that way as well, mostly just to see if Yoichi was going to pester Celestine. Of course he liked watching Celestine go off, but if it ever got too bad while he was around he'd do something to call Yoichi off even if it meant stooping low enough to distract him by hitting on him to see how much he really liked the idea of having a boyfriend.
Nanashi smiled slightly at her and tugged her down into his lap rather than give her a chance to sit beside him. He chuckled and leaned his head on her shoulder before he nuzzled her cheek. "...Well...if that ever was something that you would want done you could always try to do it yourself..." he said softly, "I mean...I would never let anyone else try to trim my nails or...well anything that involved then getting close to me with something sharp, but I could do it myself just fine. I mean...you know you're not going to hurt yourself if you can just push the idea of getting hurt it out of your mind long enough." he said simply, trying his next to explain what he was trying to get across. "...I just don't like knowing you're so uncomfortable with people seeing them that you'd rather put up with being treated like a dog." He chuckled again, "Though I do know you draw amusement from seeing the looks on their faces... I still think you'd be a little better off if you could wear your hair differently. It would help you avoid awkward moments like that." He nuzzled her again and then kissed her cheek, "But then you can do whatever you like. I wouldn't really know what would be best for you, would I?" he asked with a slight smile. "It just sounds easier to me."

Aamori sighed softly seeing that Celestine wasn't going to hide in her room. Since she had no problem with it and had even been the one suggesting it she had kind of thought he'd take the offer. Especially since she knew that her brother wouldn't just go into her room without a reason and with her out here there wasn't too much of a reason that Yoichi could give for going in there. That was her room after all and her brother didn't need to be in there is she wasn't. Oh well, it was probably too late now. Yoichi would be over here before Celestine could escape so the window of opportunity was slipping away quickly.
Yoichi paused a couple feet away from Levana and bowed for a moment. He swept his hair back over his shoulder upon straightening himself up and then smiled a little. "You're not going to believe me if I said I didn't see you until just now, are you?" He asked and then sighed softly when he caught her shake her head. Of course he knew she wouldn't believe him but it was worth a try. "I apologize then. I should've said something to you sooner." He nodded his head weakly. "It's nice to see you here, Lady Levana."
Zale continued to follow beside Yoichi until he came to a stop. When Yoichi stopped, so did he. He stood there for a moment and then started to sit down beside him, trying to be patient while he waited. Maybe this time it wouldn't take quite so long for the playing to commence.
Levana looked back to Marius briefly when he said that her showing up had thrown everyone through a loop. She smiled and nodded her head a little. She guessed it was kind of unexpected for her to just show up here of all places. She couldn't help it though when she heard that Marius had come to stay in Kairava for a bit. She wanted to make sure that she got the chance to say hello to him again and make sure that he enjoyed his stay here. She turned back to look at Yoichi once he made it over and then shook her head at his first question. If anything she knew he had to have seen her already. It wasn't like she was hard to miss. "Since you're here now, I thought I'd introduce you two." She said with a smile and then glanced over to Marius. "This is Yoichi, Aamori's older brother. Though, they look so much alike I'm sure you picked up on that already." She chuckled. "And Yoichi, this is Marius. He's an Elder from the Wind Clan and also Celestine and Kanone's grandfather."
LaRae startled very slightly when she was tugged down onto his lap. She had thought she was going to just sit beside him and was surprised by his actions. She wasn't complaining or anything she just wasn't expecting it. She guessed she'd get used to him doing that eventually since this wasn't the first time he had done it. She was quiet while he talked about the possibility of her being able to file her own stumps and then shook her head a little when he was finished. "...It's not that easy for me to get over the fear of being hurt, even if I'm the one going to be doing the filing." She paused and gave a heavy sigh. "Having my horns.. taken from me... it's the very first memory... that I can remember." She admitted quietly. She sighed and shook her head a little. "I already don't get treated very well by my clan... so being treated like a dragon half as well isn't really that much worse." She commented. "And.. not too many people have the nerve to try and touch my head looking for horns." She paused. "She was... one of the rare few that actually have done that." She smiled a little after he kissed her cheek and tried her best not to let the color reach her face. "That's not exactly true." She started when he had said that he wouldn't really know what would be best for her. "You knew what was best for me when my wings were broken." That certainly wasn't the same thing as knowing what was best for her concerning her horns, but he did know what was best then. He was probably right here too. She could stand to have her stumps cleaned up and probably even wear her hair differently but she was embarrassed to even have the stumps. They didn't really even look like remnants of horns to her anymore, just bumps in her forehead.

Marius smiled slightly at Yoichi when he came over to speak to Levana. He chuckled slightly when he heard his first question to her and then glanced over to Kanone when he noticed him coming over to stand near them as well. When Levana get around to introducing them, he smiled at Yoichi again and inclined his head to him. "Nice to meet you, Youichi." he said in his usual friendly tone. He half wondered how long Celestine intended to try to hide behind him. He was pretty sure that he didn't make a very good shield. He was taller than Celestine, but he was also thin and his robes only went so far.
Kanone smiled slightly at Yoichi and then scooted a little closer just to pat Zale on he head again. He half smiled when Levana pointed out that Marius was their grandfather. He thought that was pretty easy to figure out considering how much he and Marius looked alike or well...they would if he'd et his hair get that long. He shifted positions again and then moved around to stand beside Marius, though he glanced over to Celetine. "So how long are you going to hide back there?" he whispered in their native tongue.
Celestine wanted to smack Kanone when he came over and started talking to him, though he wasn't exactly looking at him, so he could have been talking to Marius if no one understood what he was saying though...of course Marius wasn't responding. Was he trying to just point him out for kicks and giggles later? He sighed quietly and then glared at him. "Shut up!" he whispered back in a voice almost too low to hear.
Nanashi smiled slightly and then shook his head before he moved his head so that his chin was resting on her shoulder. "...I know what's best for you when you're injured..." he said with a slight smile, "Because it's obvious." he smiled and then nuzzled against her lightly, "I just meant...I know what happened scared you, but I don't know how badly. ...Something made me terrified of thunder storms, and nothing ever seems to make them any less frightening no matter how silly the idea may sound to others... So I can't really tell you things would be better if you did this or that because I have no way to really understand just how your mind works." he sighed softly and then smiled, "Though it would be really nice if I could... I would help you out if I could." he said honestly.

Yoichi looked to Levana as soon as she started to introduce him and then shifted his glance over to Marius when he was being told who the man was. After Marius spoke to him he bowed to him just as he had Levana. "It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance." He responded while he straightened up. If anything, Celestine was a little lucky that he did have a tenancy to act a little different when he was around his Elder; Then to top it all off he was in the presence of another clan's Elder. Regardless of the fact that Marius was their grandfather he was still going to be respectful of the guy and so long as Marius was present he wasn't going to do or say anything that could embarrass Levana or his little sister for that matter. Although, given the chance when neither Elder was around he'd likely go right back to pestering Celestine like he usually did.
Levana glanced between Marius and Yoichi briefly and smiled. She then couldn't help but look over to Celestine, or at least what she could see of him while he was trying to hide. She shook her head a little and then looked back to Yoichi for a moment. "Yoichi, I think I might need to head back here soon." She paused. "I didn't tell anyone really, that I was leaving. Do you think that you'd have the time to walk back with me?" She asked and laughed quietly. She honestly hadn't told anyone exactly where she was going or what for, she just decided she was leaving and without her escorts no less. Having Yoichi go back with her at least would make things a little more comfortable and she wouldn't have to listen to the head of her guards complaining about her just disappearing on them. Not to mention by taking Yoichi that meant that Celestine wouldn't have to hide behind Marius any longer.
Aamori had continued to just stand there quietly while the two were introduced. She had cast her glance briefly over to Kanone when he'd started saying something she couldn't possibly understand. She stared almost blankly at Levana when she heard what she said to Yoichi. "You just walked out!?" She asked without even thinking about it. "Hisako would have my head if I just decided I was leaving without telling her." She added while a bit surprised to hear that even her Elder did things like that.
LaRae smiled a little. Knowing what was best for someone when they were injured wasn't always obvious, at least in her opinion. If it was obvious than everyone in the world could be a doctor. She smiled lightly after he nuzzled against her and then gave a soft sigh. "...I think I'd rather be afraid of thunderstorms..." She commented quietly. It really did seem silly to her most of the time that she was afraid of stupid things like files near her stumps. After all she barely had anything left of her horns so what was going to hurt to get rid of the rest? She wasn't even sure how her mind worked sometimes so him getting know how hers worked seemed like it'd be difficult. She smiled slightly. "...You may be able to help me one day ...when I'm ready." She said quietly. She was touched that he would help if he could, even if he didn't necessarily mean help her with filing; She was still touched. She wanted to overcome her fear of those types of items near her head she just never had someone willing to help her with it. After all, it's kind of hard to do it all by yourself; Especially when you work yourself up so badly that you can't even pick up the file.

Marius glanced back again when he heard Celestine grumbling at Kanone and then smiled and shook his head again before he looked back to Yoichi again before his eyes wandered back over to Levana again. He blinked and then glanced over to Aamori and chuckled softly when he heard what she blurted out. "Oh my. Are you sneaking around?" he asked as he looked back to Levana. "Well now I really do feel special." he said with another chuckle.
Kanone just blinked and then raised an eyebrow before he glanced over to Aamori. "...What isn't she allowed to?" he asked cluelessly. He still really didn't understand how things worked here. He knew that Aamori wasn't allowed to leave without an escort, but he wasn't aware that the elder wasn't allowed to go where she pleased without having to answer to someone.
Marius smiled slightly and shook his head slightly before he put his hand on top of Kanone's head and messed up his hair a little. "Things don't work quite the same way here as they do back home. Lady Levana is usually escorted, I believe. Am I correct?" he asked as he looked back to her and smiled.
Celestine sighed softly and shook his head before he shifted positions and crossed his arms. He didn't move out from behind Marius still, but he did seem to relax a little so that he no longer looked quite so much like he was tying to hide if Yoichi did see him. He glanced over to Aamori for a moment and then sighed softly and closed his eyes for a moment. He was at least grateful that Levana was trying to get rid of Yoichi for a few minutes, even if she was just taking him with her.
Nanashi smiled again when she said that he could help her whenever she was read. He nodded and nuzzled against her cheek again before he kissed t again. "Yes, of course...whenever you're ready, I'll help you." he said softly. He didn't mind helping her with filing if that was what she wanted. f course he would never try to do anything to her horns if she didn't want him messing with them. He chuckled again and shook his head again. "...I don't think being afraid of storms is all that much better... I feel like such a child sometimes..." he said as he shook his head again.

Yoichi stared over at Levana when she finished asking her question and then shook his head a bit in disbelief. "Of course I will walk back with you." He said firstly. "Though, I feel like you're throwing me to the wolves." He said with a quiet sigh. "...Your guards aren't quite as lenient as Hisako is and I'm never going to hear the end of it." He said quietly. Her guards could only get so upset with her for leaving like she had but they certainly could take their frustration out on him since he was bringing her back. He really couldn't refuse her request even if he wanted to and so, he really wasn't looking forward to this.
Levana sighed softly hearing Aamori and then glanced over at her briefly. She looked at Marius and nodded weakly when he asked if she was sneaking around. Of course she was; Otherwise she'd have more than Ama for a shadow. She smiled a little. "I think sneaking around might be a trait picked up once one starts the training for becoming a water clan Elder. Isn't that right, Aamori?" She asked with a quiet chuckle as she cast her glance back over to her. "Although, in Aamori's case I think she still has a way to go. You're not supposed to get caught in the place you sneak into." She said with another laugh. She looked back to Marius after he asked if he was correct about her usually being escorted and gave a nod. "Yes, you're right." She paused. "We're usually given a main guard, otherwise known as an escort when we first come here. So I too have a 'Hisako' and have had mine since I was first started training here years ago. Hisako will be along side Aamori for the long haul of things just as mine has." She said with a nod. "It's more or less a safety precaution, well for lack of better words. The townspeople here hold their Elders in high regard and expect us to be kept safe at all times. So by having an escort it's keeping the people at ease. Not to mention we live on an island... If ever attacked there aren't many places to really go, so for Aamori and I, it's safer to travel in numbers even if only escorted by one other person." She explained. "It's a little silly, I admit, but it's just how things have always worked and if it makes the townspeople comfortable than who am I to complain about it?" She shifted slightly and looked over at Yoichi after he had agreed to walk with her. She smiled a bit. "Well, I think that we should probably head back in a moment."
Aamori shook her head a little after hearing Levana. She crossed her arms over her chest and turned her head away a bit when she heard her start bringing up the fact that she'd gotten caught in that library the other day. Did she really have to bring something like that up? She'd already gotten her punishment and it was a done deal so what was the point other than to embarrass her a little. She sighed quietly and then kept her eyes averted. She was already hoping that Levana's guard gave a good chewing out since she had to go and bring that up.
Zale was starting to grow more impatient already, he was trying though to keep himself contained. He wanted nothing more than to latch onto Yoichi's pant leg again and start tugging. He was more than ready to play and this was taking forever, or so it felt. He wasn't really liking the idea of Yoichi having to walk Levana back to the sister island but at least if they were outside he might be able to get Yoichi to play near the water with him. That was always more fun, especially if he got a hold of the ball that the guards at the dock had. He really was a sucker for playing fetch when there was water involved. His tail started to wag half uncontrollably at the thought alone while he stood there.
LaRae smiled softly after he had kissed her cheek yet again and then gave a slight nod once he said he'd help whenever she was ready. She wasn't all too sure when she was going to be ready to try something like that. Just thinking about it was enough to make her a bit uncomfortable at the moment. She knew he wouldn't ever do anything to hurt her but her fear pretty much overrode what ever she knew to be true. Though, she was almost positive that most fears could do that to people. "...You don't have any recollection of what makes you afraid of thunderstorms?" She asked quietly. She couldn't really imagine being afraid of something and not knowing why. It was hard enough knowing why she was afraid of something... so not knowing... that to her, just seemed a lot worse.

Kanone listened to Levana and tilted his head slightly. He looked a little confused as to why the townspeople seemed to be so concerned about their elders being safe. Who did they think was going to attack them here? He looked like he could have said a few things but he managed to keep his mouth shut and just sighed. "I see... I think." he said simply before he reached up to take his hair down. He shook out his head and gave Marius a look before he flipped his head forward and gathered his hair up again in it's usual lose ponytail. He glanced over to Aamori and half smiled after what Levana said, though again he refrained from teasing her....right now at least, since her brother was around.
Marius smiled slightly at Levana and then shook his head before he glanced over to Aamori. "Oh dear." He chuckled softly and then looked back to Levana again and smiled warmly, "Well, it was certainly a pleasant surprise to see you again, Lady Levana. You should hurry back before you give your escort a stroke." he said with a soft chuckle. He held his hand out for hers again and once she had placed hers on his he leaned down to place a light kiss on the back of her hand before he straightened up again.
Celestine continued to stand there silently while Levana spoke and explained everything to Kanone. He wanted to saw that if you got attacked by the right people it didn't really matter where you had to go, it could still be a disaster, but he kept his mouth shut. When Marius bowed to kiss Levana's hand he blinked and sighed before he glanced away, keeping his arms crossed. Well, so much for his hiding place. He tried not to even look toward Yoichi or pay too much attention to what Marius was doing. After all...what wasn't supposed to mean much.
Nanashi thought for a moment and then shook his head slightly. "...I...no, not really..." he said quietly, "It's just...occasionally I'll...see glimpses of things...and I...don't really know what it is... I just know it's bad and I always just get this really......unexplainable feeling that something terrible is about to happen. I don't know why but it's just...I don't know. No matter what anyone says I can't shake that feeling... I've tried and even if there is nothing at all dangerous around I just... I feel like I just know I'm going to........walk out of a room or something and find a bloody mess or something... That's...." he shuddered slightly and then sighed, "....Sorry. I really don't know why that happens. It's just...there."

Yoichi glanced over to Kanone when he had said 'I think' along side that 'I see'. He sighed quietly. "It's a tradition that's in our clans past that the Elder should always have an escort at their side. Since you're not from our clan, you don't have to understand it." He said and then glanced over to Levana as Marius had leaned down to kiss her hand. He shifted his glance slightly and stared over at Celestine. He'd known that Celestine had been here he just hadn't bothered going out o f his way to see him or pester him like he usually would have. He didn't bother saying anything to Celestine at the moment either since it looked like he was trying to ignore him. He looked back to Levana and then motioned for the door. "Are you ready?"
Levana sighed softly when it looked like Kanone hadn't quite understood everything she had said, or at least she assumed that based off the confused look he wore. She shook her head slightly at the words Yoichi followed up with. She just kept her mouth shut rather than get into it again. She would normally have said to Yoichi that he didn't need to say that to someone. She preferred to educate others on such things if possible and since Kanone was Marius' grandson she saw no harm in him knowing specifics on their clan. But she could go into great detail and wind up talking for hours if she stayed. She nodded weakly to Marius when he said that she should get back. She set her hand on his when he held it out for hers and then smiled softly when he leaned down to kiss her hand. "...And here I thought all of the gentlemen had gone extinct years ago." She commented with a quiet chuckle. She looked back to Yoichi when she heard him ask if she was ready. She nodded. "Yes, just about." She told him. "Well, it was a pleasure meeting you two boys." She said with a smile as she looked at Kanone and then over to Celestine. Lastly she looked back to Marius and smiled. "It was really nice to see you again, Marius." She said as she stepped a little closer to him and touched his arm lightly before reaching up to lightly peck his cheek. "...Next time I think I'll have to get some legitimate time off so that we can visit a little longer." She said with chuckle as she pulled back and then started to follow after Yoichi since he had already started towards the doors.
Aamori looked back to Levana for a moment when her brother asked her if she was ready to leave. She was more than ready for Levana to leave. Aside from her parents, Levana probably had some of the more embarrassing stories about her and if she was able to throw out the mention of the library so easily she didn't want anything else coming out. She noticed the brief exchange between her and Marius and then sighed quietly in relief when Levana had started to head for the door with her brother, and Zale by the looks of it since he was following after them.
LaRae sat quietly and listened to Nanashi while he spoke. Once he had finished she wasn't really sure what to say. That wasn't exactly like her fear of sharp things near her horns. She sighed quietly. "...I don't really know what ...to say to that..." She admitted quietly. She continued to sit there for a moment before she shifted enough so that she could wrap her arms around his neck to give him a hug. Other than that she really wasn't sure what to do or what to say.

Kanone blinked when Yoichi answered him and then his ears fell back slightly and his crossed his arms absently. "Guess not." he said simply, not too sure he was too crazy about Yoichi's tone. He sighed and then looked back to Levana and smiled slightly when she made the comment about the gentlemen. He laughed and then rolled his eyes when Marius made a comment on that. He nodded again when she said that it was nice meeting them and then lowered his arms, "It was a pleasure meeting you as well, Lady Levana." he said simply. He watched her leave and then glanced at Zale when he went trotting after them before he snickered and elbowed Marius in the arm lightly.
Marius chuckled softly when Levana made her comment about all of the gentlemen dying out. "Hmm...well I believe they are slowly working on it. We've been trying to mold that one for years and haven't gotten anywhere. You're lucky if he doesn't smack you in the nose with the door while he's opening it." he said as he motioned toward Kanone with his head. "Celestine might be a little better at it if he wasn't so shy." He blinked when Levana kissed his cheek and then smiled and tried not to blush since that had hardly been the response he was expecting. He nodded again and smiled at her, "That would be nice. I'm not entirely sure how long I will be here, but I am pretty sure I can survive the peace and quiet for a few days." he said with a soft laugh, "I will be looking forward to seeing you." he said as she started away. He sighed softly and then shook his head slightly before he changed a glance back at Celestine while rubbing his arm.
Celestine stood there silently, refusing to look at Yoichi or even give him a hello unless he spoke to him first, which he was hoping that he didn't. When Marius started to make comments about him being more of a gentleman if he wasn't so shy his cheeks turned a little red and he glanced away further. "Hmph..." he huffed quietly. he didn't like to think of himself as shy....he thought he was more antisocial than anything. He just didn't like people. But then again, he didn't like people because he was shy and didn't like their comments about his girly looks, so that was a pretty good description for him. He glanced back about the same time that Levana kisses Marius' cheek. His eyes widened for a moment before they narrowed and then closed all together as he looked away again and tried to just...pretend he hadn't seen that, though the way that his tail thrashed in agitation behind it it was a little more than obvious that he had.
Nanashi smiled slightly when she said that she didn't know how to answer to that. "It's alright...I didn't expect you to." he said quietly. His smile grew when she hugged him and he leaned his head against hers again before closing his eyes. "Don't worry about it.... it's silly... I'll...grow out of it eventually." he said, though he didn't really sound all that confident in that. It was a really strong fear that had been embedded in his mind, and he had no idea how to shake it. He might be able to get over it more if he could remember how it had all started. He knew most children were afraid of storms, but usually they stopped being afraid when they realized that it was just light and noise, but something just made him uncontrollably anxious when it stormed like that.

Aamori watched for a moment while Yoichi held the door open for Levana and Zale then headed out himself. Once they had gotten outside and the door had been shut she glanced around briefly and stared at Celestine for a moment. She sighed quietly seeing how agitated that he looked. She was pretty sure that was because Levana had kissed Marius' cheek. She shook her head lightly and kind of wanted to get him thinking about something different. Though, she wasn't really sure that was going to be easy to do. "...It looks like Yoichi left you alone this time, Celestine." She commented quietly. "Are you going to run off and hide before he gets back?" She asked while trying not to laugh. She couldn't help finding a little amusement in the fact that Celestine tried to avoid her brother; So much so that he was to the point of hiding. At least this time it looked like he'd probably have the time to get up on the roof if he wanted to hide up there like he usually did.
LaRae continued to keep her arms resting loosely around his neck after she had hugged him. She smiled weakly when he said it was alright. She had kind of wished that she had something to respond to him with, other than an 'I don't know'. She smiled a bit more after he had leaned his head against hers. She nuzzled against him lightly and then kissed his cheek. "I don't doubt that you'll grow out of it, sooner or later." She said quietly. Fears could be over come, with work of course. At least so far there hadn't been that many thunderstorms, so Nanashi wasn't having to deal with that fear all that much. "...I've got a well.. weird question." She paused. "...If you're afraid of thunderstorms ...does Kyran's abilities freak you out at all?" She asked with a slight curiosity. Kyran couldn't produce thunderstorms that she knew of but he could do lightning; So she wondered if that bothered him at all or if it was the combination of the two things.

Celestine turned his attention to Aamori when she started talking and then sighed heavily. "...I don't know." he said in a rather snippy tone, "If he starts messing with me today I'm liable to beat him." he grumbled. He was seriously in the mood to beat something right now, though after seeing the way that Kanone was 'nudging' Marius he honestly wanted it to be him.
Marius blinked when he heard Celestine's tone and then sighed heavily, Celestine, what is your problem?" he asked calmly, "You weren't acting....well quite this bad before Levana got here." he said simply, "What's wrong? Are you letting Kanone's teasing go to your head?"
Celestine narrowed his eyes and threw up his arms. "Problem? What problem? There's no problem! Why would I have a problem!?" he said irritably. He huffed and then looked aray again, trying not to make eye contact with any of them after eh realized that he'd just exploded. He thought the problem should have been obvious. DUH he wasn't this bad before Levana got here and started being so friendly with Marius. She certainly hadn't been quite so 'kiss on the cheek' friendly with anyone else.
Kanone scoffed slightly, "No of course not, there's no problem at all." he said sarcastically since it was pretty damn obvious there was. "Geez, kid, lighten up, would you? You take everything too seriously."
"And you don't take anything seriously at all!" He snapped back while giving him a rather dirty look. He sighed heavily when he felt firm hands on his shoulders and he tried to calm himself down without looking up at Marius.
Marius sighed heavily and placed both hands firmly on Celestine's shoulders while he gave Kanone a look, "Don't make this worse, Kanone." he said quietly before he looked back down to Celestine. "...I don't know exactly what's bothering you right now...and I probably never will if you don't say something. Listen, I know you don't like the idea of me remarrying, but believe me that's not what I'm here for. Levana and I are friends at best, nothing more, so there is no sense at all in you getting so upset." He sighed and started to rub Celestine's arm before he gave him a light hug. "...You're acting childish right now."
Celestine's ear twitched when he heard the word 'childish leave Marius's mouth. His eyes narrowed and then he glared at the ground before he just sighed and stepped away from him. "Sorry." he said simply, "It's none of my business what you do or don't do or whatever." he said flatly, "I don't care."
Marius sighed heavily and snagged his shoulders again. "Yes, you do... Get back here and tell me what's wrong." He smiled weakly, "Come on, now. Simmer down, whirlwind. Just tell me, it's fine. I'm supposed to be the one you tell everything to, remember, I'm your grandfather." he said gently.
Celestine finally jerked around. "ONLY because you're married to my grandmother! I have no idea who my grandfather is; you're Kanone's grandfather!" he finally blurted, "You won't even be related to me anymore if you aren't married to my grandmother!"
Marius blinked, looking shocked as well as a little hurt by what Celestine shouted at first, though his expression softened by the time he finished and he just smiled and laughed. "That's what's bothering you? You think I'm going to disown you if I ever get remarried?" He smiled again and shook his head, "I do believe that is the single most ridiculous thing I've ever heard you say." He sighed and stepped forward to wrap his arms around him again. "Listen, kid... I'm old, I highly doubt I'm ever going to remarry by now, but even if I do you will always be my grandson, you got that? For the love of all things good, I helped raise you." He said simply as he messed up his hair a little. "Has knowing you weren't blood related to me been bothering you for this long? If I'd known it was going to bring this on, I would have thought up some other answer to give you when you asked. I love you just as much as I love Kanone, nothing's going to change that."
For once even Kanone was stunned into silence at what Celestine said. He'd always been closer to Marius than even he had been, and now he was saying that? He really had no idea what to even say until Marius started speaking, and then he just sighed and listened silently. He'd never really known that Celestine was so bothered by not having any blood tie to Marius. He'd never said anything about it before so he'd always assumed that it didn't bother him. He'd even teased at him about it a few times, though he'd never meant anything really mean by it. When he was little, even before the attack on the village, he was still a little jealous of Celestine so mostly all he'd done was put a little extra emphasis on 'my grandpa' when he wanted more attention and wanted Celestine to back off. It'd always worked, but he had also just thought it was because Celestine got the hint not that he'd actually hurt his feelings. Now he felt slimy and about three inches tall. His ears fell back and he just stuffed his hands into his pockets before he glanced away again.
Nanashi opened his eyes again and smiled when LaRae nuzzled him and kissed his cheek. He raised his head up when she said that she had a weird question. He half smiled after he heard it. "...It wasn't that weird." he said quietly. He thought for a moment and then sighed softly and shrugged. "...It...does a little...when it's loud..." he said quietly, "....It doesn't really give me that...anxiety attack, but it just...I don't know, startles me more than it should. I mean...at the festival I knew perfectly well that he was about to shock those branches to get you out, but I still nearly jumped out of my skin and.....hit the deck when he did it." He sighed again and shook his head. "...Heh...I really sound like an idiot when I say that out loud." he said quietly before he leaned his head on hers again. "...It's worse during actual storms. with all of the rain and just....how dark it gets. It's just...ominous and it ....freaks me out a bit."

Aamori got really quiet, more so than usual after hearing the tone that Celestine used to answer what she had asked. She hadn't expected him to be quite that upset. She didn't think that there was that bad that had gone on between Levana and Marius but apparently she was wrong if it had bothered Celestine enough to use that type of tone with her. Her ears fell back almost immediately when he exploded. By the time Marius had started to press to get an answer out of Celestine, she had started to shift a little uncomfortably. She felt like she shouldn't be standing here listening to them. She half wondered if any of them had realized that she was still standing there and could hear everything just fine. So far she thought this was turning out to be one of those types of conversations that you didn't exactly want to share with people who weren't in your family. Well... either way this had become extremely awkward moment and she wasn't at all sure what to do with herself.
LaRae listened quietly to Nanashi and then shook her head a little once he had finished what he was saying. "I don't think you sound like an idiot." She started quietly. "...I think ...it takes a lot of courage to admit you're afraid of something." She paused. "And.. well.. admitting it is kind of like the first step to over coming it." She said quietly. Or at least she liked to think that. Though, if that was the case then she'd been at the first step for a good long while. She didn't have too much trouble admitting that she was afraid of sharp things near her head and she was also afraid of being bound by anything, now over coming those... that was a while a different thing all together. She certainly didn't think that Nanashi's fear was silly, to her that sounded a lot less laughable than her fears. She tightened her grip on him slightly and hugged him again. "...Maybe if you can get used to Kyran's ability that will help with the fear as a whole."

Celestine just stood there silently and stared at Marius while he spoke and then sighed and just leaned his head against him once he'd wrapped his arms around him. He honestly would have preferred that Aamori hadn't been there, but then again this wasn't really his territory and he didn't have too many places to go to talk. He was just glad that Hisako or someone else wasn't here. He was just the type that could only keep his mouth shut for so long before he just blurted out what was on his mind without thinking about it too much. After a few moments he raised his arms and wrapped them around Marius tightly while he nuzzled against his chest. ".....Sorry." he muttered quietly since he had gathered at least that he had nearly hurt Marius' feelings.
Marius just shook his head slightly and gave Celestine another tight squeeze. "You don't have to apologize, Celestine, I understand..." he said softly, "I didn't know you felt that way." He smiled and pulled back a little while looking down at him, "...Now...are you going to stop giving Lady Levana dirty looks every time she gets near me?" he asked with a slight smile.
Celestine looked up to him again and then nodded his head weakly before he looked away again. He guessed it really wasn't too much of a big deal...or at least he did after this little chat. He did still worry about the possibility of whoever he ended up with, if anyone, not liking him but then again that probably didn't matter too much either.
Kanone continued to stand there awkwardly for a moment before he looked back to Aamori again and half smiled. He sighed and shook his head before he finally grabbed her arm out of the blue and jerked her forward suddenly now that Marius and Celestine seemed to be at a nice understanding. "GROUP HUG!" he shouted as he pounded at Marius and Celestine, more or less sandwiching Celestine in the middle.
Marius blinked when Kanone dove at them and then smiled slightly and reached to give him a hug as well as Aamori if Kanone managed to drag her close enough. He didn't really mind Aamori's presence at all. For all he knew she could be part of the family sooner or later since both Kanone and Celestine had an eye on her.
Nanashi smiled weakly and then shook his head a little. "...It may be the first step..." he said quietly, "...But then what's the second?" He thought about what she said while he returned the tight hug and then sighed softly. "...I could try." he said quietly, "...But there's still something different about it... I think... the lightning summoned by his magic is a lot more tame than the real thing....it's not as frightening." he said quietly, "...I still just with I knew why I was so afraid of storms. I know...more or less why... It was probably the same night that everything else happened but...I still have make myself remember what happened; it was too long ago..." He sighed again, "...But then I can remember a little before that... It doesn't make sense to me." Maybe what he'd thought before was true...whatever he couldn't remember he was probably better off forgetting.

Aamori still felt awkward standing there listening to them. She was trying to decide on something else that she could be doing, anything so that she wasn't so uncomfortable. Though she wasn't having very much luck with something else that she could be doing. She was at least glad to hear that they seemed to be coming to some sort of understanding. She startled a bit when Kanone grabbed her arm and then jerked her forward. He managed to do a good job of catching her off guard so she wasn't able to escape the group hug that she was being dragged into. This really wasn't helping too much with how uncomfortable she had been feeling. This was almost like rubbing it in her face that she'd just stood there and listened to something that was better left between family. She was also at a loss as to why Kanone had even dragged her into this begin with. She wasn't really going to complain about it or anything, especially since Marius had reached to hug her as well.
LaRae sighed quietly. "...If I knew what the second step was I think I'd be closer to overcoming my own fears..." She said quietly. She never really thought about any differences between Kyran's lightning and the real, natural thing. To her, at first thought she'd guessed that they were both pretty much the same. Though, with what Nanashi had said she thought a little differently about it. After all, Kyran could control the lightning that he summoned whereas she didn't think it was really possible to control natural lightning. She sighed quietly and continued to keep her arms around his neck loosely. "Same night everything else happened?" She asked quietly. She wasn't exactly sure what he meant and she couldn't remember if he'd mentioned something previously. She kind of hoped he hadn't because then she'd feel terrible about not remembering something she was told.
