Nanashi really didn't bother to move at all from where he was sitting, he just kept his arm draped over his midsection and his head leaned back while he propped himself up with his other arm. "...Yeah...." he responded quietly when Yoichi asked if he had already fixed his nose. He wasn't too sure what to say to Yoichi, and honestly just expected him to go find something else to do once he brought him everything he was going to need. He heard him shifting positions in the grass and then cracked his eyes open again when he heard him ask if he was going to be alright. He turned his eyes to the side so that he could see him without turned his head and just looked at him for a moment before he closed his eyes again and then cracked them one again so that he could look up at the darkening sky. "...Yeah..." he responded again in the same quiet tone, "...it could have been worse...I'm used to it." He closed his eyes again since his head was still throbbing and finally just gave in and carefully leaned himself back on the grass, gritting his teeth as he moved, though he tried not to make any noise. It hurt to straighten out his abdomen, but it didn't feel much better sitting up and his arm felt like it had about had it. He just kept his legs drawn up slightly and then draped his arm back over his middle again. There were several red marks on his abdomen from where the man had kicked him, but as always they probably weren't too obvious unless someone was looking closely.

Yoichi sighed quietly and nodded his head weakly. It could've been a lot worse, that was for sure. Nanashi was just pretty damn lucky that he and Hisako happened to stumbled across him and stop that guy before it got worse. The guy could probably have beaten Nanashi to death if left alone long enough or others could've decided to join in. He shook his head a little. He couldn't help feeling a little bad for Nanashi. He didn't particularly hate him but no one deserved to get beat up quite that badly for no real reason. At least he assumed it was for no reason. "This will probably be stupid of me to ask, but... you didn't do anything to provoke that beating... did you?" He couldn't possibly see Nanashi doing anything to warrant that attack but it was a pretty standard question to ask. He didn't really have anything better to be doing right now since Hisako wasn't here so he was kind of enjoying the free time. "...Do you need anything else?" He asked. "Some ice or something?"

Nanashi cracked his eyes open again when Yoichi asked him if he had done anything to provoke the attack and then sighed softly as he closed his eyes again. "...No more than usual," he responded quietly, "...I think I backed into him...sometime after we first got here when I was with LaRae... Sorry apparently wasn't good enough." He glanced away again, turning his head very slightly away from Yoichi. "...Today I was just walking...I didn't even look at anyone.... But...I'm sorry I caused trouble.... I had no intention of going out anywhere until we were leaving, but...." He shook his head weakly when he asked if he needed ice. "...No...thanks...it's too cold..." He was already pretty chilly now that the sun was setting, which was part of the reason that he was having so much trouble with shopping his shivering. Even Yoichi's skin had been about to freeze him on the walk over here, but he had tried to ignore it. He knew that it was probably odd to hear someone with scales of his color say something was cold. Just like a water dragon's skin was almost always cold, a fire dragon's skin was always very warm, and could probably melt ice fairly quickly. Unfortunately, his skin was already cool to the touch and wouldn't feel anywhere near as warm as it would have if he was a full blooded dragon. Were he a normal fire dragon he would probably constantly feel like he had a fever to anyone else, though with them it was a bit backwards. They were commonly cooler when they were ill rather than warmer.

Yoichi shook his head and rolled his eyes slightly. "You have gotta stop apologizing when you've done nothing wrong." He said and then sighed. "You didn't cause any trouble. It was that other guys fault and he's getting what he deserves for attacking you for no good reason." He leaned back slightly and stared up at the sky for a moment before heaving a heavy sigh. "...If anything..." He started. "...We should probably be apologizing to you." He paused. "Usually we keep a pretty good eye on guests and even if you're half fire dragon that isn't really any excuse for someone from our clan attacking you out of the blue." He lowered his eyes and glanced back over at Nanashi for a moment after he'd said that the ice would be too cold. He nodded his head weakly, mostly because he didn't quite understand how ice could be too cold for a fire dragon. To his knowledge, which wasn't all that extensive, fire dragons had warmer body temperatures. Warm enough that they could probably melt ice. Now that he was thinking about it Nanashi hadn't really felt as hot to him as he suspected he might. He shrugged lightly and then glanced towards the doors for a moment before looking back over at Nanashi. He didn't think Hisako was going to be too much longer. He'd been to the prison area where she was going and it shouldn't really take her too much longer to get back. Well, unless she decided to knock the guy around a little for what he did but she didn't usually do that to people. "...I'm not sure if LaRae has even been here." He paused. "You have any idea where she might have gone if she hasn't gone back to the other island?"

Nanashi glanced back to Yoichi again slowly when he said that he needed to stop apologizing then he hadn't done anything wrong. A lot of people seemed to be telling him that lately, though it still seemed that in general when he was slow to apologize to someone it only caused him more trouble. Well, at least he could rest well with the knowledge that not everyone expected him to apologize himself silly for things that he hadn't done, though by now it was just a habit to start apologizing quickly and earnestly. He sighed softly when he said that the guy was getting what he deserved. "...It's alright..." He closed his eyes again and sighed, "...I don't need an apology...you got him off of me before he crushed my skull, that's good enough... I don't even care whether he was locked up or not..." He sighed again and glanced at Yoichi for a moment before looking away. "...But...thanks..." Honestly, no one ever really apologized to him for something that someone else in their clan did to him, so this was rather new. He finally shifted and started trying to push himself up again while Yoichi was looking at the door. His nose had all but stopped bleeding by now, and he didn't want to still be laying there covered in his own blood when someone came back. He finally picked up the cloth and peroxide and poured a bit onto the cloth before he raised it to the scrape on his cheek and touched it to it. He gasped in surprised and then cringed a little when he felt it stinging a bit, but it faded quickly and he relaxed again. He'd never really used peroxide or alcohol on his wounds before, normally it was just water or soap if there was any around. He glanced back to Yoichi again and then shook his head a tiny bit when he asked about LaRae. "...No...I don't know where she would have gone...." He lowered his eyes for a moment and then looked back to him again with worry clear on his face. "...You don't think...someone would have hurt her...do you?" he asked quietly. He knew that she didn't look like a full dragon at first glance.

Yoichi placed his hands on his legs where they crossed and leaned forward slightly. "Regardless of whether or not you care if the guy gets locked up, he's getting locked up anyway." He told him. "The guy is old enough to know the guards will take care of any dragon from another clan that isn't allowed to be wandering around like you were. It isn't a civilian's job to take matters into their own hands and just attack someone." He paused. "Like Hisako said earlier, he violated the code of conduct which is practically breaking the law... especially when the person you attack is here with someone of my sister's standing." He rocked back a little while he continued to sit there and then leaned forward again slightly while he watched Nanashi start to tend to his bloody mess of a face. He sighed quietly once he'd seen the look of worry on his face and then asked if someone would've hurt LaRae. "I hate for it to come down to clans... but she's got a little more going for her than you do." He started. "But no, I don't think anyone would hurt her. I'd also like to think a woman would be left alone regardless of their clan." He started to rock back and forth a little once more. "Well... when Hisako gets back I'll go check with the port guard to at least make sure she hasn't left the island." He said quietly. "At least with that knowledge we'll know she's still around here somewhere." He paused. "Oh, I guess check back where you all were staying too... just to make sure she didn't go back there." He looked back over at Nanashi. "You don't look like you're in any shape to be wandering around looking for her right now anyway, so I don't mind doing the leg work and letting you know how it goes."

Nanashi just nodded his head slightly and then sighed softly. Well, at least this clan didn't tolerate vigilantes taking matters into their own hands. "He said that he was...just making up for the higher ups letting someone like me walk around where I please," he said quietly, more to himself than to Yoichi. He closed his eyes again briefly while he started to try to wipe the blood off of his face. Frankly, the peroxide stank when it reacted with the blood and the bubbles felt weird on his face. He curled his lips in a little as he cleaned around his mouth, not particularly wanting to get the stuff on the puncture on his lip. It didn't take him too long to get his face at least most of the way clean, though there was still some blood right around his nose and around his lips that he would rather just take care of with good old fashioned water. He glanced down to his upper arm near his shoulder and reached over to pres the cloth to his arm before he glanced back to Yoichi again. He had been listening to him while he was speaking. "Not everyone cares whether you're man or a woman... at first glance she looks just like another halfbreed..." He sighed softly. Of course the difference was if someone had attacked her she would have torn them open. He shook his head again a little when Yoichi said that they would make sure that she hadn't left the island. "...She wouldn't have left...not without saying something..." Or at least he would really like to think that. He could never be one hundred percent certain with anyone. He finally laid the cloth down after cleaning off his arm and then leaned is head forward into his hand. His temples were throbbing so badly that he was starting to think the guy crushing his skull might have been a blessing as to having to put up with the headache. He glanced back over to him again when he said that he didn't mind doing the leg work and then nodded weakly. "...Thank you..." he said again in the same hushed tone that he used most of the time around people that he didn't know well. He just hoped that when they found her that she was alright.

Yoichi shook his head lightly after hearing what Nanashi said. "Eh... some of the townspeople around here don't like the idea of other clan's having permission to walk around as they please." He commented. "They kind of think it's too... carefree or something like that... for the Elder and high ranking officers and what have you to allow just anyone who's been approved to pretty much have free reign of the main island." He added quietly. He could kind of sympathize with some of the townspeople. He used to be just a commoner like the guy who had been locked up for attacking Nanashi, so he kind of understood the uneasiness of having members of other clans wandering as they pleased. Now that he was in the position he was in within the system he was more comfortable with it. Unfortunately that really only came with having worked the job he had and not every common person in the town could get a job like he had. He continued to rock a little while he sat there watching Nanashi. "...She does look like a halfbreed..." He paused. "Even so, not many people openly attack someone like that guy did who attacked you. It really is kind of rare for someone to step out of line like that..." He sighed quietly. "I'd hate to think it'd have happened twice in one day..." He muttered under his breath. He nodded his head slightly when Nanashi said that she wouldn't have left the island without saying something. "...I don't know the girl as well as you but I think I'd rather be safe than sorry." It wasn't going to hurt anything to check with the guards at the dock. It'd maybe take five minutes tops once he got to the dock to ask and then that would be the end of it. He tilted his head slightly after Nanashi had leaned his head into his hand. He assumed that his head must be bothering him. He could see why... the guy who attacked him had stomped his head into the ground at least once from what he'd seen. He gave another nod of his head after Nanashi had said thank you. "Don't mention it." He responded quietly and then turned his head towards the door since he'd heard it opening.

Hisako hurried back to the training building as fast as she could without having to run the whole way. She'd been a little concerned with the state Nanashi had been left to Yoichi in and knowing that there weren't any nurses or a doctor at the training building she wanted to make sure that he was still moving. Not to mention she was a bit concerned after seeing what she had at the prison when she turned the guy over to the guards in control over there. Once she was inside the training building she started over to where Nanashi and Yoichi were. She wasted little time at all giving Nanashi a once over before shifting glances briefly to Yoichi. She was at least a little relieved to see that Nanashi was a little cleaned up. "Can you vouch for LaRae's whereabouts right now?" She asked half curiously. She was fairly certain that she had seen LaRae when she was there but she wanted to see if maybe her eyes were fooling her. She kind of hoped they had, mostly because getting her out of there was going to be a bit of a pain in the rear until they spoke to someone with the proper clearance to get her out.

Yoichi stopped rocking back and forth and quirked his brow slightly once Hisako had come up to them and asked the question that she had. He couldn't help thinking it was a bit strange that she asked that since he was going to ask her about LaRae. "...Actually..." He started. "Nanashi said LaRae was supposed to have come here and gotten his coat earlier in the day and then when she didn't return he decided to come look for her." He paused. "I was going to go look for her once you got back." He stared up at her for a moment. "Did you run into her by chance?" He asked curiously. If she had run into her that would save him a lot of work with looking for her.

Hisako sighed heavily after hearing Yoichi answer her question. She really had hoped that hadn't been LaRae, especially since she looked a bit rough herself. "Unfortunately." She answered shortly as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Apparently she got locked up sometime earlier today." She paused. "When I saw her I thought it was her but as you can imagine I had hoped it wasn't." She sighed heavily. "and I don't have the authority to get her released." She added lastly before shaking her head.

Nanashi was quiet as he listened to Yoichi and then glanced over to him again. He didn't bother to comment, mostly because he didn't particularly care what the towns people thought. He honestly didn't see how it could be that unnerving to have one or two people from a different clan wandering around, or even as many as there were here. After all, this island was full of people, he was pretty sure that if there was any trouble, there were probably at the very least fifty water dragons to every one that wasn't. It hardly seemed like a threat to him, but he knew better than to question their logic. He nodded a little when he said that he would rather be safe than sorry and then sighed softly and closed his eyes again...at least until he heard the doors opening. He looked up a little more when he saw Hisako some in and then looked up to her when she came over, though as always he never made eye contact with her. His ears perked slightly when he heard her ask about LaRae and he'd just started to open his mouth to respond when Yoichi beat him to the punch. He listened to the both of them silently, a sinking feeling already hitting his stomach before Hisako even got to the good point. His eyes widened slightly when she said that LaRae was locked up. He sat up straight without even think, ignoring the pain in his midsection and head. "Why would she have been locked up?" he asked in a rather excited tone, clearly not liking the sound of it. "She has permission to be here, you gave her a...pass..." Something seemed to dawn on him when he mentioned the word and he looked down slowly. "...She didn't have her pass...did she?" That was honestly the only reason that he could think of that she would have been locked up, but that didn't make any sense to him. She'd never taken the thing out of her pocket to his knowledge, unless she'd done it while he wasn't looking. He sighed softly and lowered his head again, resting his forehead into his palm as he pushed his fingers back up through his apple red hair. If anything, Nanashi was fairly quick to catch on, even when he did have a splitting headache. He was the one that had nearly lost his pass and LaRae had come back and given it to him along with all of his things. He hadn't thought much of it at the time, but it wouldn't have been hard at all for her to have substituted the pass since that was what he had been worried about in the first place.

Yoichi listened quietly while Hisako answered the question about if she'd seen LaRae. By the time she had finished answering he'd really wished that she hadn't seen her. He sighed heavily and then glanced over to Nanashi after hearing his questions. "The only way I see her having been locked up is if she didn't have her pass on her or if she attacked someone and frankly... I don't see the second one having happened..." He said quietly. He couldn't say for sure that she hadn't attacked someone but he really didn't think that LaRae would just openly start attacking someone, especially when she was just coming to get Nanashi's coat.

Hisako stared over at Nanashi for a moment and nodded her head a little. "According to the papers I looked at she was locked up because she didn't have a pass on her." She paused. "She also didn't bother to really retaliate so it shouldn't be that hard to get her released." She said quietly. She shifted a little and loosened her arms a bit. "I didn't get to speak to her at all so I don't really know any specifics and that's all I really know." She said with a slight shrug. She had been able to see LaRae but talking to her was a little hard. Now that she was thinking about it a little more she looked back over at Nanashi with a slightly quirked brow. "I do have a question..." She started. "...Did LaRae have a broken arm before this morning?" She'd seen her arm and it was clearly broken now. Having a bone practically protruding from ones arm was more than enough to tell that the arm was broken. She just wanted to know if it was something her clan had done to her or if she'd had it broken before hand.

Nanashi glanced at Yoichi and shook his head weakly when he said that she wouldn't have been locked up unless she attacked someone and that he didn't think that was likely. "...No..." He sighed heavily when Hisako confirmed that LaRae didn't have her pass on her. "...I think I know where it is..." he said dully. He was almost certain that it was in his pocket with his other things. He glanced up to Hisako again and nodded his head weakly when she asked if her arm was already broken. "...She broke it...when we fell down the stairs... Hikari tried to fix it, but...LaRae did something and made it worse... Lev–Lady Levana helped her put it in a splint and sling until Hikari can get to it again..." He thought that should have been a little obvious, though now he just looked concerned again. "...She didn't hurt it worse did she?" he asked, sounding overly concerned. He hadn't really liked the way that LaRae had been tending him so much with her arm like that, but it hadn't seemed to be slowing her down much. Still, he didn't want her to end up hurt worse. As far as he knew she was just sitting in a cell somewhere and since she didn't resist he didn't think that she would have been much worse off thatn before, but then again there was no telling.

Hisako nodded her head a little once she'd heard that LaRae's arm had been broken before and how it happened. She heaved a heavy sigh after Nanashi had asked if she'd hurt it worse. "I can't really say since I didn't see it before..." She started. "If I had to wager a guess... I'd say it's probably worse." She didn't really want to go into great detail right now on how LaRae looked, especially with how concerned Nanashi looked and sounded. "When dragons from other clans get incarcerated here we do our best to make sure that they can't force their way out of the cell." She paused. "As you can imagine some things must be done to ensure that she can't use her magic. The cells are mostly stone after all..." Even though LaRae didn't put up much of a fight when she was brought in didn't mean that she would continue to behave once in a cell. Since the cells were mostly made from natural stone it was important to keep an earth dragon from breaking themselves out. She uncrossed her arms and let them hang at her sides. "Anyway... we're not going to be able to have her released without talking to Lady Levana about it. She's the only person with the authority to release dragons from other clans and it's already dark out so it's a little late to go knocking on her door."

Yoichi listened to Hisako when she spoke and then sighed heavily himself once she was finished. He had already gathered that she was purposely keeping the details out as to not worry Nanashi too badly but honestly... she probably wasn't helping much by keeping the details to herself. That left Nanashi to be able to run off and think what ever he wanted. "Don't let what she said get you more worked up." He said as he looked over at Nanashi. "We'll work on getting her out tomorrow and that isn't really too long from now." Though, even with that LaRae had already been in the cell for numerous hours already so that probably wasn't going to make Nanashi feel that much better. As it was right now there was just no way that he or Hisako were going to go try and pester Lady Levana tonight and it'd probably wait until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest. Neither of them wanted to disturb Lady Levana too early and to them LaRae being in prison wasn't a direr enough emergency even with a broken arm.

Nanashi's ears laid back slightly when she said that it was probably worse and he continued to just stare at her with that same worried expression as she explained to him about the need to keep her from escaping. "Things like what?" he demanded after said that. It was probably even more obvious by now how worried he was considering that his speech had raised in pitch a little and he was no longer speaking either slowly or stuttering. At the moment he didn't even care if he said or did something out of line, he just wanted LaRae out of there and wanted to see her arm for himself. "I don't understand, you all know she's supposed to be here, you were the ones that gave her a pass! She can't stay in there all night if her arm is broken worse, someone needs to look at it! The sun just set a few minutes ago, it's not that late." Levana had been over at the house with Marius later than this before. He glanced over to Yoichi when he told him not to get more worked up and then said that it wasn't too long to go. "That's easy for you to say, you're not the one in her position!" He let out his breath and sank back a little, pain shooting through his head. He couldn't help being upset about this. He didn't like the idea at all of LaRae being locked up and tied or whatever she was with a broken arm. "She's been in there all day... Do you honestly think Lady Levana would get mad at you for telling her because it's already dark? This may be presumptuous, but she doesn't strike me as the kind of person who doesn't care about anyone after a certain time of day."

Hisako shook her head lightly after hearing the way Nanashi demanded to know what things. She had kind of hoped that being less detailed might have been enough to just have him drop it for now but apparently she was wrong. She wound up staring at him with her hands set on her hips by the time he was finishing running off at the mouth. "For one, yes, Yoichi and myself know along with the guards who have been standing guard at that one bridge know you all are here and know you should have passes. The guard she ran into must not have been aware, not all of them are. Since she didn't have a pass on her the guard did what he was supposed to do and took her to be locked up." She paused. "Now, the guards treated her just like they would any dragon from another clan. Which is completely understandable considering they had no idea she was here with Aamori." She shook her head lightly. "Without that pass none of the guards really know any better, which is why you all were told to keep a good hold of yours." She couldn't help rolling her eyes slightly as she continued. "Regardless of the fact that her arm is broken and your saying she needs to be looked at she's going to be treated as any other dragon until she can be released." She said sounding a little annoyed already. "I can't very well go and bother Lady Levana at this hour after she's had a full day of work just because LaRae had to go and lose her pass when she was told not to. It's her own fault she got locked up." She said as she started to turn away and head towards the door that went downstairs. She had been worried about Nanashi since he'd been beaten up but if he could get that worked up over that earth dragon than he was going to be fine. She'd also been a little worried about LaRae's arm but had considered having it looked at by their foremost healing professional once she'd gotten released so she wasn't too worried about it now. She only made it partway across the courtyard before she stopped and turned back slightly. She'd almost forgotten to answer his question. "Oh, and if you really must know.." She started. "Just like any other earth dragon, she's been chained to a wall, had both her hands and feet encased in thick steel and she's also been stripped down and given nothing more than an over sized shirt to wear." She told him. "Oh! and I was told she kind of lost it once she got chained up so they had to gag her just to shut her up." She added before she went back to walking to the door to get downstairs. At this point she didn't really care what Nanashi did as long as it didn't involve her.

Yoichi could kind of understand why Nanashi was getting so worked up. Honestly he was a bit concerned for LaRae and her arm now that he knew about it but he couldn't really do anything to help her right now. His hands were pretty much tied just like Hisako's were. She was just having a terrible time trying to express that to Nanashi. He shook his head while he listened to Hisako speak and then sighed heavily once she had started to walk away and head towards the door. He was about to open his mouth to speak but paused when he heard Hisako start up again. After she was done he smacked his palm to his forehead. "Good job Hisako." He muttered under his breath. That was just what Nanashi needed to hear. The guy was already worked up as it was he really didn't need to hear the last bits of what she had to say. He sat there for a moment after Hisako had started to walk away again and then glanced over to Nanashi. "Hisako wasn't being...very clear..." He started quietly. "Neither her or myself can go see Lady Levana right now unless it's a serious emergency and no one on Levana's island is going to think that LaRae falls under a serious emergency..." He sighed quietly. "Hisako and myself aren't that special nor do we rank very high in comparison to someone else you know." He wasn't really supposed to just come right out and tell him who to go to to get what he wanted, just like Hisako wasn't. They just weren't supposed to give him, a fire dragon, all the answers to get around these types of things. It was silly really, but it'd been pounded into their heads enough that they didn't dare go around telling everyone the easy way to go about these things.

Nanashi stared at Hisako while she started to answer him. He didn't say as word as she went off at him, though he still didn't understand why they couldn't tell the guards that locked her up that she did have permission to be here. Why was that so hard to validate? As far as he was concerned, just long most dragon clans, they relied too much on their elders to give the say so to everything. It was probably pretty clear that he wasn't liking what he was hearing considering that his hands absently gripped the grass as his looked up at her with rather defiant ruby eyes, which had actually started to water again because he seemed to know that he may as well be arguing with a wall. LaRae was important to him, even if she wasn't important to the locals here. His eyes widened when Hisako told him that LaRae had been chained up that way, and he knew that if she had been stripped there was nothing on her arm and in that position it was almost certainly pulling the bone at an awfully painful angle. He felt his stomach drop again and a knot up in several places. He still didn't say a word as Hisako walked away, he just stared at the grass right in front of him with wide eyes and a disbelieving, almost sickened, look on his face. He finally glanced over to Yoichi again when he started to speak, listening, though he only appeared to be half paying attention. "...Of course they wouldn't..." he said dryly when Yoichi said that they wouldn't consider LaRae a serious emergency. "...She's terrified of being tied up, that's why she threw a fit. This isn't just incarceration to her, it's torture." He shut his eyes and sighed heavily, his head still throbbing, and the more upset he got the worse it seemed to get. "This is so simple to fix..." he said quietly, "There are plenty of people who know that she's allowed to be here... That should be enough to prove that she's not here illegally... So why does it have to be made so bloody complicated by leaving all of the say up to one person that no one is going to let you talk to when you need to?" He closed his eyes tightly and just lowered his head slightly, "I know where her pass is... She was the one that went to try to get my things out of my pockets before my clothes were washed since I didn't get a chance to... She must have gotten down there too late and switched out the passes, that's the only reason she wouldn't have hers; mine was the one in danger of being destroyed." He growled quietly to himself before he opened his eyes again. It was clear just by looking at him that he was on the verge of wanting to scream or bang his head off of the wall. Essentially it was over him that LaRae was locked up just like it was because of him that her arm was broken in the first place, because he just had to go with everyone and passed out on the stairs. He honestly looked like he was on the verge of wanting just just cry. He hadn't been half a very good time the majority of their stay here. He'd been hurt, weak, and bedridden for most of the stay and today with this happening to LaRae, this was just the cherry on top of everything. He finally started to push himself up, though once he got to his feet, he staggered and held his hand to his throbbing head. He shut his eyes for a moment and then tried his eyes to relax. "...I'll let Aamori know where she is then..." he said bluntly, not even needing the not to subtle hint that Yoichi dropped him. He was smart enough to know who was more or less second in on the totem pole. "I'm not taking no for an answer. Getting LaRae out of there is more important than Lady Levana losing a little sleep, and I don't care what anyone else things. LaRae is Aamori's friend, maybe she can make someone listen." It was almost uncanny how forceful he could be with his words when it came to someone else when he wouldn't even raise his hand to defend himself from a brutal attack. He felt responsible for this, so he would be damned if he wasn't going to raise hell to fix it if he had to.

Yoichi couldn't help but feel a little worse about all of this after listening to Nanashi. He knew it was standard procedure for an earth dragon, or almost any dragon for that matter to be locked up the way that LaRae had been. He assumed by Nanashi's wording that LaRae had some degree of a phobia of being tied up which only made him feel worse. He had absolutely nothing against the girl and would love to be able to do something about all of this but he really didn't have any power to do so. He sighed quietly and stared over at him for a moment before he just had to look away. He really did feel bad and seeing just how upset Nanashi was getting over this wasn't helping. He had guidelines to follow and he couldn't break them over a single earth dragon. "I know you think it's really simple to fix and to most people outside of our clan it probably would seem that way but it just doesn't work like that." He paused. "Just because Hisako, myself and the lot of you visiting know that LaRae shouldn't be locked up isn't enough validation to let her out. When it comes to dragons from other clans the rules change a little and not Hisako or myself, or even Aamori have the direct authority to release them. It'd be a totally different story if she were a water dragon. I'd have already gone and gotten her out myself, but because she's an earth dragon it has to be approved by the Elder." He gave a heavy sigh. "That's just how it works. I mean... if anyone could go and release a dragon from another clan we'd have a lot of crap to deal with and there would be numerous potentially dangerous dragons wandering around for any given reason." He said as he shook his head. It honestly did make sense to have the highest ranking person in a territory be in charge of whether or not a dragon from another clan could be released, especially if the dragon was picked up on suspicion of being a threat. You really wouldn't want someone in Hisako's position going around deciding when to release someone who could be dangerous, granted LaRae wasn't really dangerous. He started to get to his feet himself after he noticed that Nanashi was already starting to stand up. "....I never said no one would let you talk to Lady Levana ...you just have to go through the proper channels." He paused. "I'm fairly certain, if not positive that Lady Levana will tend to this with the utmost urgency once she's made aware of the situation." He told him quietly. "Lady Levana is a caring person, honestly. It's just a matter of getting through the rules and the lackeys that surround her. She won't deny your request... it just isn't in her to purposely let someone suffer like that who's done absolutely nothing wrong." He glanced towards the doors briefly before he started to walk over towards them so that he could get the door open for Nanashi. "When you talk to my sister about this... leave out the details Hisako was nice enough to share with you." He started. "Since LaRae is her friend... I'm not so sure how she'll react to that level of information." He paused. "...She could easily react badly and you won't end up with the result you want. Aamori can have a really bad temper if she's pushed enough and since she's never had many friends I can't say how she'd react." He sighed quietly. "...I am ...really sorry about all the hoops Nanashi." He added lastly. He really was sorry about it. When things like this happened it made the rules look like they were there to hurt you rather than help you but in their defense... it wasn't everyday that a friend from another clan got locked up in a cell.

Nanashi sighed quietly as he listened to Yoichi's explanation about why he couldn't let LaRae out. "I know that..." he said quietly, "That's what makes me so mad... No matter where you go it always comes down to your scales and abilities being different from the people around you that determines how you're treated. It's hard to find people who pay attention to anything else." He shook his head weakly, "...You handed her the pass personally, she had permission before... If no one had given her one in the first place I could understand better...but I can't understand why it can't be as simple as you and Hisako confirming giving her the pass. As uptight as everyone is around here, would anyone honestly lie about giving someone a pass who never had one?" He shook his head a little, "...Not that it matter...You don't need to explain yourself further, I know I'm wasting my breath. I'm not for your clan and a halfbreed on top of it, I don't even have a voice in my own clan, let alone anywhere else." He could huff and puff and howl all that he wanted, but no one that could do anything was ever going to take the logic of a halfbreed seriously. After all, according to nearly anyone who say his lack of horns, he was an idiot without enough sense to even be alive. He started toward the door and then sighed softly. "...I know what kind of person Levana is...I've met her," he said quietly, "I never doubted that she wouldn't care, it's everyone that surrounds her that has to be convinced first... That's the hard part..." He looked back to Yoichi again when he started out and Yoichi asked him not to mention the details to Aamori. "...I never planned to...," he said quietly, "...I've been around Aamori enough to know that she doesn't need to hear that... She's been kept too innocent enough I'm sure she has little to no idea what goes on in there...." He shook his head weakly when Yoichi apologized for the loops. "...I know... There's nothing you can do about it...you're just doing what you're told," he said quietly. He wasn't angry at Yoichi or even at Hisako, he was just upset, period, and Yoichi just happened to be the only person around that stayed around long enough to hear his ruckus. He was going to have a very hard time making it all the way back to the elder island, but he wasn't about to give in to exhaustion or pain just yet. He started out and just started back along the path that would lead him to the island. After he got out and a few feet away he thought he could have gone and tried to wash his face better with water and grab his coat since the night breeze was almost frigid, but now that he was out he had no intention of turning around to go back. He just hoped that no one would get too upset over the blood that he'd missed cleaning off.

Yoichi kind of wished that there was a better way to explain some things to Nanashi. As easy as it sounded for he or Hisako to go and vouch that LaRae had been given a pass just about anyone could do that, especially if by some crazy chance they were being threatened into it. There just was no real telling so they'd planned years and years in advance that only an elder could control the release of other clans dragons. Sure neither he or Hisako were being threatened into getting LaRae released but still it could happen, there was always that possibility and that was part, if not most of the reason such a rule had been set in place. Honestly, it'd be a lot harder for an elder to be used like that than a trainer and a guard who were pretty much expendable. He shook his head slightly. On one hand he could really see how ridiculous that seemed and then on the other he completely and utterly understood it and accepted it. "Just letting Aamori know is all you really have to do. She will take care of the rest." He paused. "There's really nothing to worry about once you have my sister taking care of everything. She's got a bit more leeway when it comes to the people surrounding Lady Levana and her getting past them really shouldn't be all that difficult." He told him quietly. If anything he really wanted to assure him that the only hard part he needed to worry about was getting over to Aamori and telling her. Once she knew his work was pretty much finished and he could just sit and wait if he wanted. He watched as Nanashi started out and then started to close the door once he'd gotten clear of it. He sighed heavily and started to head over to the door Hisako had slipped behind. He paused just about the time he'd reached the door and sighed heavily. It didn't take him very long at all to realize that Nanashi had left without one of the things he was looking for that was actually here. He shook his head lightly. "...Of course he left without his coat..." He paused. "He was so worked up..." He mumbled as he continued walking to the door that Nanashi had been using. The coat was inside no doubt. Once he reached the door he slipped inside long enough to retrieve the coat. The last thing Nanashi needed to do was leave the coat here when it was the sole reason that LaRae had even come out earlier today. He was sure she'd just love to hear that another trip would have to be made out here so that he could have his coat. He headed straight for the front door with the coat draped over his arm. He wasted very little time in chasing after him after he'd slipped out the door. "Nanashi!" He called once he'd gotten closer to him. "Don't go leaving without this." He told him after he'd caught up to him and held his arm out with the coat draped over it.

Nanashi knew that all he had to do was tell Aamori and Aamori would most likely take care of it from there. Still, he hoped he could be there and didn't have to wait at the island for them to bring her back. He knew that poor LaRae was probably a nervous wreck and he had a good feeling that if he was left to wait for her he would wind up either asleep or passed out somewhere. It was already all he could do to keep from falling out on the ground right now. This was taking a lot more out of him than he originally though, though of course getting beaten down on the street didn't help things a bit. He was nearly to the park area when he heard Yoichi's voice and stopped again, turning slowly to face him, though the motion caused him to stagger a little. It was hard to do anything but go in a semi-straight line. He stood there silently for a moment looking at him and then looked down at the bundle of fabric over his arm which it took him a few seconds to realize was his coat. Once he realized what it was he reached over to take it from him, uttering quiet, "Thank you," as he started to unfold it to put it on. It was already turned with the red side facing out, so he didn't bother to fight with it to get the black on the outside, as much as he would love to blend in right now. So long as it kept him a little warmer he didn't care if the thing was pink. He reached up to the straps that held it together at eh front and latched them, though he knew that his stomach was still clearly visible. He had no real way to hide, but at least this covered his new scrapes and his old scars on his arms. He absently wrapped his arms around himself again, trying to just ignore everything except for what he was trying to do but he couldn't help shivering a little. He looked back to Yoichi again and offered him a ghost of a while before he started to turn to leave again. "I need to hurry...." he said softly as he started off again. He would have loved to break out in a run, but he was doing well enough to walk as fast as he was.

Yoichi was pretty glad to see that Nanashi hadn't gotten that far away and he had stopped when his name was called. Not that it mattered either way, he had still planned to get the coat to him. He nodded his head slightly after hearing Nanashi utter a thank you and then continued to stand there and watch him get into his coat. He continued to stand where he was for a moment, at least until after Nanashi had gotten started again. He kept an eye on him for a moment and finally started to turn back around so that he could return to the training building. He was at least thankful it was already dark out. Even though it'd just gotten dark it was still dark enough that most if not all of the people went inside their shops or went home. He didn't really foresee Nanashi having any real trouble getting to his destination, well, unless his body just decided to give out on him from the beating he'd already received. At any rate, he did feel safe enough letting Nanashi walk back on his own. He didn't bother hurrying back to the training building, it wasn't like it was going anywhere so he took his time walking back.

Nanashi tried his best to hurry back to the other island, and was very grateful that there were very few people out now. Like before he just went as quickly and silently as he could manage. He still kept his arms crossed over his stomach and remained slouched over a little as he walked and kept his eyes on the ground, though his slouching was mostly due to pain. Even though he was trying to hurry it still took him a good fifteen minutes to make it back to the bridge, which had he been able to go at a normal pace probably would have only taken him ten minutes at best. By the time he got back to the bridge his legs were shaking with the effort of holding him up and he was breathing heavily as if he'd just finished a marathon and he quite honestly looked ready to just collapse on his face. Still, he didn't let himself stop, not even to glance at the guards, he just started through them to get to the island. Now he just hoped that Aamori was easy to find.

The guards were still the same ones as before when Nanashi had left and neither one of them really focused too much on him when he came back across. They each cast a glance at him briefly noting the coat and then went on about ignoring him for the most part. They really didn't care too much to even ask him what had happened to him. It was obvious that he wasn't quite in the same shape as he was when he left but honestly, neither of them really cared.

Aamori should have been fairly easy to find since she wasn't likely to have left the window sill where her and Celestine had been sitting as the sun was setting. So long as Celestine had been alright with it she was comfortable where they were sitting and wouldn't have wanted to move. Not to mention she was just fine where they were without anyone interrupting and she wasn't exactly looking forward to having to move off of him because she was liable to fall on her face one way or the other.

Nanashi was glad that the guards didn't stop him or ask him any questions, he really didn't feel like answering them. He stumbled when he stepped into the sand and then had to slow down even further to keep his balance on the uneven ground. He made his way carefully over to the second house since that was the last place he remembered seeing Aamori and finally glanced up, spotting her in the window with Celestine. He grasped the railing tightly once he reached the steps and then tried his best to climb them. His legs weren't particularly fond of being lifted high enough to get up the steps since he had more or less been shuffling all the way here. Just as he was reaching the last step his foot caught and he fell forward, yelping as he lost his grip on the rail and came crashing down on the porch. Thankfully he managed catch himself and keep his face from smashing into the wood. He just lay there on his elbows for a moment before he slowly drew his legs up over the steps and then raised his head a little before he started trying to push himself back up to his feet again.

Celestine was still just sitting in the window with his arms around Aamori, though by then he'd already closed his eyes and just leaned his head against hers. His ears twitched when he heard something hit the porch and he opened his eyes again, turning his head toward the sound. He sat up a little, tightening his grip on Aamori as he did so so that he didn't throw her out of the window. "Nanashi?" He couldn't see his face from that angle, but he could tell just by looking at the way he moved that he was hurt. He looked back to Aamori and loosened his grip on her a little, before giving her shoulders a very gentle push to motion for her to get up.

Aamori had been quite relaxed where she was sitting with her eyes shut and probably could've fallen asleep easily given the chance. She couldn't help but startle slightly when she heard something hit the porch, thankfully she didn't startle bad enough to really go anywhere. Though it probably helped a lot that Celestine hadn't let go of her yet. She of course had opened her eyes when she was startled but hadn't bothered to look for the cause of the sound until after she'd heard Celestine say Nanashi's name. She still didn't bother really moving until she felt Celestine give her shoulders a push. She slid forward a little on the window sill and did her very best to keep herself from teetering at all while she shifted so that her legs were hanging over the side of the sill that would let her outside onto the porch. She didn't waste very much time at all sliding down from the window sill once she was sure she wasn't going to fall. She started over towards the steps now that she was on her feet again and stared down at Nanashi with a bit of a concerned look on her face. "...Are you alright Nanashi?" She paused. "What happened to you?" She asked curiously. He seemed to be moving around a lot worse than he was earlier in the day so she was a bit concerned and curious to know what had happened to him.

Nanashi closed his eyes for a moment when he heard Celestine say his name and then sighed. He would have liked to have been on his feet again before they noticed him, but he knew that was asking a little much. He looked up slowly when he heard Aamori coming closer and speak to him but then lowered his eyes. "I'm...I'm...fine..." he said in a quiet, breathless voice. He finally gave up trying to stand for how and just settled for sitting on his knees. "...Aamori...y-you...need to go talk to...Levana... La-LaRae's been...locked up...she didn't have her...pass on her..." he told her quietly, "Please... Your brother said that...she was the only one that could get her out... And you're probably...the only one they would let see her...at this hour..."

Celestine let Aamori get up before he swung his own legs over the other side of the window easily and stood up, following her over to Nanashi. He titled his head a little as he listened to him and then moved forward slowly and knelt down beside him, tilting his head a little so that he could see his face. Even in the dark he could see the discoloration around his nose and the mark on his lip. He raised his hand to his cheek and then blinked when he jerked away from him like his hand burned.

"Don't!" he yelped quickly when he felt Celestine touch his face. He was afraid he was about to touch his nose and he'd had about all of the pain out of that thing that he could stand.

"...Sorry..." he said simply, dropping his hand. "Where have you been? You look like hell worn over..." He glanced back up to Aamori again and then tilted his head a little. He didn't quite know what to make of this.

"I was...looking for LaRae...since she didn't come back..." he said quietly, "...I ran into some guy that didn't want me here... It's fine. Just go get her out, okay?"
