Kyran merely smiled after Selenity had said to meet her mini-me. He did tilt his head a little curiously after Sri had started to ask Selenity something that they couldn't understand. It didn't really matter that Sri had spoken in the light clans native language because the question she had asked became pretty obvious as everyone continued. He wasn't surprised though to see that Nanashi was the first one to be able to answer seeing as he could understand the small girl. He also wasn't that surprised to see that Nanashi didn't come right out and explain that to Selenity when she asked how he knew what Sri had asked. He focused on the girl again once she had looked up at him, obviously waiting on him to answer as well. “My name is Kyran.” He told her with a smile.
Aamori thought that Sri was really cute, especially seeing as she was as shy as she was. She of course hadn't understood the question that Sri had asked until after everyone else seemed to get it and answer her. Selenity's response a lone wasn't clear enough for her to understand what the girl wanted to know. She smiled a little bit more once the girl had looked at her again. “I'm Aamori.” She answered.

Sri smiled brightly when Kyran and Aamori both answered her and nodded her head. "Okay!" she said brightly before she looked around again. There was someone missing. She looked at Kanone for a moment then back to her sister before blurting out, "Where's Nero?" It was almost dinner, so she didn't know why he wasn't down here with everyone else. Even if she was a little skittish she was smart enough to gather that he wasn't going to hurt her, well after getting confirmation from her sister. She knew not to trust his word alone since he could lie, but between him and her sister she was pretty sure he was fine...and he was really nice to her, so she didn't mind him. She knew that her daddy didn't like people with black scales like him, but she didn't know why. She remembered one hurting her mother when she was little, but she didn't think that Nero was mean like that.
Kanone laughed slightly when Sri asked about Nero and then shook his head. "He's still upstairs in his room," he answered simply. He still found it funny that Sri seemed to like Nero, enough to hug him no less, and was still so skittish around the rest of them. Then again, she literally screamed at the sight of him when she first ran into him.
Sri tilted her head a little when Kanone said that he was still in his room. "Is he in trouble?"
Selenity started to laugh at that and shook her head. "No, he's not in trouble. He just decided to stay upstairs with his cousin."
"Well go get him!" she told her, "It's dinner time, he's going to miss it."
Selenity stared at her sister for a moment and then crossed her arms. "Hold on, I just came downstairs and you want me to walk all the way across the castle, up another flight of stairs and down the hall in these shoes to tell him something he already knows?"
"Yes," Sri responded simply with one of those big innocent smiles.
"..." Selenity just stared at her sister for a moment and then rolled her eyes a little. "Alright, alright...fine, I'll go tell him, but if he says 'no' I'm not dragging him down." She put a hand on top of her sister's head and messed up her hair before she started to turn around.
"...Would you like me to go?" Celestine offered considering that she didn't seem to thrilled about stairs in her shoes.
She smiled and glanced back to Celestine again and shook her head a little. "No, that's alright, I need to get used to walking in these things again, anyway. I'll be right back," she said lightly.
Sri looked after Selenity and waved before she started trying to fix her hair, which was now frizzy on the top. "Err..." She made a made after her sister and then blinked and started to look around at the others again, just now coming to the realization that she was down here by herself with a bunch of people that she barely knew. Well...her sister would be back in a few minutes, hopefully with Nero. His cousin could stay upstairs for all she cared, she didn't know that person and she thought she'd met enough new people. Now she shifted her focus over to Nanashi and LaRae, looking them both over curiously. Of course she noticed the one big difference about them that she didn't see with anyone else and had never really seen on anyone else before. Where were their horns?

Kyran smiled at Sri when she said 'okay' after everyone had finished giving her their names. He was a little surprised himself when he heard her ask where Nero was, of all people. She seemed awfully shy around them and they weren't even the ones with the black scales so it was a little surprising that she was looking for him. He supposed they must have run into one another at some point during the day otherwise he had no real idea how Sri knew about him when she didn't really know any of them... well... except Kanone. They had met earlier from what he said so that was probably when she had met Nero. He listened quietly to the back and forth between Selenity and Sri and then smiled and shook his head a little. He nodded his head and waved a little when she said that she would be right back. Little girls always seemed to get their way one way or another.
LaRae watched quietly while Sri managed to talk Selenity into going to try and talk Nero into coming down for dinner. She hadn't been able to keep herself from chuckling at Sri when she asked if Nero was in trouble and that was why he was in his room. That was such a cute little kid question so she really couldn't help laughing. She did kind of feel bad for Selenity though... she could imagine heels were most uncomfortable, especially after not having to wear them for so long. That walk to Nero's room was probably going to be really bad on her feet. She was thankful at the moment that the maid earlier hadn't brought her shoes to wear because they probably would have been heels and she'd never worn them before so she could imagine how hellish that would have been. She was much happier just going barefoot and making it seem like she had shoes on. After Selenity had left she turned her eyes back down to Sri and looked at her quietly though she did raise a brow slightly when the girl started looking at her and Nanashi curiously. “.....Something wrong?”

Nanashi chuckled softly at Sri when she had started asking about Nero and then managed to easily talk Selenity into going to get Nero. He was a bit surprised, but then again, children weren't very judgmental. It was cute the way that she asked if he was in trouble, too. He watched Selenity start back down the hallway for a moment and then glanced back to Sri while she fixed her hair. For a moment his attention was drawn to Kyran since he wondered if they were going to wait here or go on to the dining room, but his attention went back to Sri when he heard LaRae ask if something was wrong. He hadn't even noticed the way that she was looking at them. "...Hmm?" He tilted his head a bit now that she had his attention.
Sri blinked when LaRae asked her if something was wrong. "No," she responded, though she was still looking up at them with a perplexed expression on her little face. She looked at LaRae and then Nanashi and then LaRae again before she finally had to ask before she busted. "Where did your horns go?" By the time she asked she was just...staring both of them down, not really caring which of them answered.
Celestine almost smacked his forehead when he heard Sri's question. Well...that was blunt, but that was a kid for you. He just hoped that she didn't manage to upset Nanashi. After all, he was...pretty touchy. He was about as touchy as he was when someone called him a girl, only he got angry whereas Nanashi usually just got very quiet and looked half ready to cry. He blinked and looked up again, surprised, when he heard Nanashi laughing.
Nanashi blinked when Sri asked her question and couldn't help a quiet laugh after it sunk in. "Well," he started patiently, "I've never had horns, so they didn't go anywhere." He glanced over to LaRae and smiled a little before he looked back to Sri again. "LaRae has horns, they're just hiding behind her hair."
"Really?" she asked curiously as she looked over to LaRae again. Well, she would take his word for it, she guessed. Her attention turned back to Nanashi again. "But why don't you have any?" He seemed willing enough to answer her question the first time, so she didn't hesitate to ask him another one.
"I don't know, I just wasn't born with them," he responded lightly. To be honest, that was a bit of a mystery to him. He didn't know why halfbreeds could be born with other dragons features, but not horns.
"How come?"
"...Well...because I'm half human?" he responded a little uncertainly.
Sri's eyes got big for a moment as she stared at him. "You don't look like a human."
Nanashi chuckled again weakly. "No, I don't. I'm not a human, but I'm not a dragon either."
"Then what are you?" she asked curiously, tilting her head to the side as she clasped her hands behind her back again.
Nanashi just smiled and shrugged a little. "Breathing?"
Sri grinned at that and laughed. "You're talk kinda funny."
"I do?" he responded looking a little confused. Well...he wasn't from around here, he guessed his accent would sound funny to her. He just smiled again and glanced away for a moment. He didn't mind Sri, but he kind of had the feeling the others weren't going to want to stand there and listen while she bombarded him with questions. Something was telling him she had waited for her sister to be out of ear shot before asking all of that.
Selenity made her way back down the hallway and up the stairs once again as quickly as she could manage in her current attire. She had to hold up her dress a little as she mounted the stairs and absently continued to hold it on her way down the hallway. She stopped in front of Nero's door and knocked lightly with a soft sigh as she let the dress go and then stood patently, waiting for him to open the door. She almost felt bad continuing to bother him, but she figured she could at least come and ask him if he wanted to come down since her sister was looking for him.

Kyran didn't exactly want to go on without Selenity so he didn't plan to move much from where they were standing unless someone told them to move. He didn't mind that Sri had gotten into a barrage of questions either. So long as the questions didn't bother LaRae or Nanashi then he didn't really mind and it wasn't like it was eating into their time since they were kind of waiting on the Princess to get back before continuing on to dinner.
LaRae stared down at Sri for a moment after she had finally gotten her question out and wasn't sure what to say. Honestly she wouldn't have a problem answering that about her horns but she wasn't sure how Nanashi was going to take being asked by a little kid about his own lack of horns. Needless to say she was a little surprised to hear him laugh and then start to answer Sri. She couldn't help but smile a little at the way he had worded his answer to her. It certainly was a kid-friendly response and that kind of surprised her as well because she hadn't thought Nanashi had any experience with children, or at least not enough to know how to speak to them like he was. She thought briefly of lifting up her bangs to show Sri what was left of her horns but chose not to seeing as she seemed a bit more interested in Nanashi and his complete lack of horns than her little stubs. She also didn't exactly know what she'd say to the girl if she saw the stubs and inquired further about how they got the way they were. She didn't think telling the girl that they had been sawed off was really proper so she was kind of glad that she was more interested in Nanashi. She couldn't help a quiet chuckle when Nanashi's answer to what he was, was 'breathing'. She waited until the two of them were done and then shook her head a little before looking down to Sri. “He is what most of us would call a Dragon-half.” She didn't exactly think she should be left with just 'breathing' as an answer... She wouldn't really be surprised to hear her going around calling him a 'breathing' rather than a dragon-half or halfbreed.
Nero was a little surprised to hear the knock at the door and had to fight Reyes away from the door when he got up to check it too. He actually wound up popping Reyes in the back of the head and telling him to go sit down just before he reached the door. Unfortunately with Reyes... you kind of had to keep him under lock and key when you were keeping him from doing something or else he'd try and sneak out on you. He sighed quietly as he started to open the door and then stared out at the woman a moment before noting the gem in her forehead and realizing it was Hikari... or well... the Princess. Rather than stand there with the door open he slipped out into the hall and shut the door behind him so he didn't have to deal with Reyes. He was surprised to see her here, he expected her to be at dinner. “You didn't need to get all dressed up just to come see me.” He said teasingly though he did wonder what she wanted.

Sri turned her attention over to LaRae when she said that Nanashi was a Dragon-half. She tilted her head again and then looked up to Nanashi, though she half smiled when he nodded in agreement. "...So a dragon-half is a person without horns?" she asked, just to confirm.
Nanashi tilted his head a little at Sri and then thought for a moment. "Mm...well...I guess it could be put like that...but not exactly," he tried to explain. "A dragon-half is someone who's mother or father wasn't a dragon. My mother was a dragon, but my father was a human. Make sense?" He smiled at her again, hoping that she understood because that was about the best that he could come up with.
Sri nodded her head and then looked up at Nanashi. "So you look more like your mommy than your daddy, right?"
"I guess so," he responded with a slight smile. "I don't know what my father looked like, but I think I look more like my mother than anything."
Sri crinked her nose a little and stared at him skeptically. "How can you not know what he looks like? He's your daddy."
Nanashi sighed softly and shook his head a little before he offered up another slight smile. "Why don't we talk about something else?" he suggested lightly. He really didn't want to get on the topic of his father, especially not in front of everyone else. There were some things he still didn't particularly like talking about...that being one of them. He tried his best not to hold negative feelings toward anyone, but he couldn't help but despise that man. He didn't even know his face, and he didn't care to. Whoever he was he obviously had no cares for him or for his mother, so he saw no reason that he should even care about knowing who he was. Of course there had been times that he wished he knew, but as he got older...he just stopped caring about that.
"Okay," Sri agreed easily, though her ears fell back a little since she noticed that he seemed like he didn't want to answer her anymore. "Sorry," she told him quietly, "I ask too many questions."
Nanashi looked a little confused when the girl apologized and then knelt down to her level and smiled at her again. "It's alright," he told her lightly, "I don't mind. You didn't have to apologize."
Sri smiled again a little when Nanashi knelt in front of her and said that it was alright before she edged forward and wrapped her arms around his neck, giggling a little. "I like you," she told him lightly.
Nanashi stiffened when Sri hugged him and almost pulled back, though he just sat there staring at her with a bit of a surprised expression for a moment before he smiled. "...I...like you too," he told her before he raised one arm timidly to rest on her back. He glanced over to LaRae for a moment and then back to Sri again before glancing to Kyran. He could feel his cheeks going red the longer that he knelt there.
Kanone had just been standing there listening quietly to the back and forth between Sri and Nanashi, noticing that the girl seemed to pick out one person to talk to death at a time. He laughed when she went and hugged Nanashi, though only after he had started glancing around like he was wondering how he was supposed to get out of that. "Awww...huggy little thing," he said lightly. "You already got Nero. Do the rest of us get one before the day's over?"
"Maaaaaybe," she responded lightly, giving Nanashi a final squeeze before she backed up and then with a bright smile. With that she scurried over to LaRae and wrapped her arms around her legs since she had been the second most talkative person down here. "I like you, too."
Selenity waited for Nero to open the door and stepped back when he decided to come out into the hallway. She laughed softly when he made the comment about not needing to get dressed up just to come and see him. "Oh...hush," she responded lightly, though she still laughed quietly. "I was just coming to invite you to dinner personally," she told him simply. "...Sri was looking for you and wanted me to come up and get you. If you would rather stay up here, I understand. I told her that if you said no then you didn't have to come down."

LaRae watched as Sri looked to Nanashi for confirmation about the dragon-half term. She listened to the two of them go back and forth again quietly while keeping a slight smile on her face. It was kind of nice to see Nanashi interacting with Sri so easily and he didn't look like he was that uncomfortable... well, until Sri started trying to quiz him on his father. She'd never really even brought that topic up so she could imagine that Nanashi wasn't going to get into that with a child. She continued to watch silently and couldn't help smiling after Sri had hugged him and said that she liked him. She wasn't that surprised to see Nanashi's initial reaction to the hug or see him glance over at her for a moment. She glanced over to Kanone momentarily when he commented that Sri was a huggy little thing and mentioned that she had already gotten Nero. That was a little surprising... somehow she didn't really expect any light clan dragon other than Selenity to have the nerve to hug a dark dragon... but then again Sri and Selenity did come from the same family so maybe it shouldn't have been that surprising. She chuckled lightly at Sri's response to Kanone, or maybe it was more the way she had said it that made her laugh. She was a little surprised that Sri came over and hugged her rather suddenly and said that she liked her too. She smiled lightly and bent down a little so that she could try and return the hug a little. “Thank you, I like you too.” She told her with a warm smile.
Nero sighed softly when he heard the reason that Selenity was up here. Declining on dinner apparently wasn't something someone did easily. He quirked a brow briefly when she said that Sri had been looking for him and had wanted her to come up and get him. That surprised him somewhat considering the girl screamed at the top of her lungs the first time she saw him and Kanone. He sighed again quietly and crossed his arms over his chest loosely. “...I just don't think attending is that wise right now.” He said quietly. He was kind of glad that Sri had sent her sister up rather than coming up herself. He may have had more trouble saying no to her than Selenity and in the end he and Reyes probably would have both ended up downstairs for dinner.

Nanashi smiled again and stood up once Sri had let him go and laughed softly in response to Kanone's comment about her hugging Nero. He wondered how he felt about that one. He turned his head a little to watch as Sri hugged LaRae's legs and then shook his head again with a soft laugh. Well, at least coming down here to dinner to be met with something like that was nice enough to make him want to smile. He really hadn't felt like it since yesterday, though...feeling better like he was probably helped as well.
Sri giggled softly when LaRae hugged her back and told her that she liked her too. "Of course," she said brightly with another soft giggle. Everyone liked her as far as she knew, she was irresistible. She let go of LaRae's legs after a moment and then looked back to the others again, smiling brightly. She still stood beside LaRae for the time being, but now she was looking over toward Celestine and Aamori before she glanced over to Kanone momentarily. She noticed that Kanone and Celestine looked a little similar, just in the fact that they both had green scales. She wasn't quite old enough to know too much of a difference in clans, but she had noticed that certain people had certain colored scales and those people usually seemed to stick together. Considering that there were two 'greens' here, and one was a girl, she was a little curious about something else. She looked over to Kanone and tilted her head a little before pointing over to Celestine. "So is she your girlfriend?" she asked him curiously.
Celestine's blinked when Sri pointed right at his face and his cheeks instantly flushed deep red as soon as the question left her lips. He just opened his mouth and stared for a moment, unable to even speak. His ears fell back when he heard laughter and he just dropped his head, raising a hand to try to hide his face. "................................................. "
Kanone stared at Sri when she looked at him and asked if she was his girlfriend and then followed her finger over to Celestine. He blinked and then his lips twitched a little into a grin. He couldn't even answer her before he busted out laughing so hard that he almost doubled over. The face that Celestine looked like he wanted to go and crawl under a rug really didn't help his case any. Well, it might not have been all that funny, but to him he was pretty hilarious. He had never been randomly asked if someone was hid girlfriend before, let alone his male cousin. He was trying to catch his breath to answer, but all he could do was shake his head from side to side and choke out 'EW!" between laughs.
Sri blinked when Kanone started to laugh hysterically and then tilted her head when he said 'ew'. "Why ew? She's pretty!"
Kanaone nearly choked then and just put his hand over his mouth and just kind of scooted behind Kyran since he knew he definitely wasn't going to stop laughing any time soon at that rate.
"What!? What's so funny?"
Even Nanashi couldn't help grinning a little. Though he was trying his best no to laugh, the last little bit finally got him and he raised his hand to try and stifle himself, quite literally biting his upper lip to keep from laughing. He really did feel a little bad for Celestine, but between Sri's lack of understanding and Kanone's hysteric laughter, it was hard not to want to laugh too.
Selenity smiled weakly when Nero sighed and crossed his arms. Well, she pretty much could guess his answer just from that, though she still listened quietly and nodded in understanding when he said that he didn't think it was wise to attend right now. "...Well, this time, I can half agree with you," she said softly. She raised a hand and let it rest lightly on his shoulder before offering him another warm smile, "Even still, it should be alright if you do come down. My father knows you and Reyes are here, and so does my grandmother. I'm afraid my father isn't very thrilled with the idea of you being here, but you both have my grandmother's permission, so there isn't anything he can do about it even if he wants to." Her smile weakened a little, "I know that's probably not very comforting, but...well, he has his reasons, I guess...." Her 'I guess' pretty much was enough to say that she thought his reasons were pretty stupid, but there was no changing them. "So, should I tell her that's a 'no'?" she asked simply.
Firra was just managing to make her way up the stairs again with two silver covered plates carefully balanced on one arm and two crystal glasses of pale pink fizzing liquid in the other hand. It almost looked like a sort of wine, though it was nonalcoholic, just bubbly. The glasses tinkled together musically as she carried them with the stems between her fingers. She had already checked as everyone was coming down to dinner to see if Nero and the other dark dragon came down and was unsurprised to see that they had yet to come down. She just assumed that they had no intention of doing so, and she had missed Selenity going up to speak with them. She had just taken two of the dishes up even though they hadn't served int he dining room yet. She knew no one else would go upstairs, and she wanted to get them taken care of before she was too preoccupied elsewhere. Normally someone else would have served after they had already gotten the food to the dining room, but in this case she saw it fitting to go a little backwards. She was a little taken aback when she got halfway down the hallway and saw the princess standing at the door talking to Nero, though she didn't stop until she was nearly three feet from them. She half wondered if she was going to get in trouble for this, but at the same time, she knew if she was going to be caught doing something against the norm by one of the royals, Selenity was the one that you wanted to catch you.

LaRae held her smile and shook her head a little when Sri responded with 'of course' after she had said that she liked her too. Children. She continued to look down at Sri for a few moments after she had let go of her and then watched as she asked Kanone a question and pointed to Celestine. She just kind of stared at Celestine for a moment before glancing to Kanone when he started laughing. She tried not laugh, honestly she did. It wasn't that funny but the fact that Kanone couldn't properly answer Sri and kept laughing like he was didn't help keep her from laughing too. She eventually cracked and had to turn her face away because she had started laughing.
Kyran couldn't believe his ears when Sri asked Kanone if Celestine was his girlfriend. He couldn't help a slight smile as he shook his head. Thankfully he didn't start laughing like some others did. He just buttoned his trap and watched as Kanone laughed hysterically and eventually tried to find refuge behind him. He couldn't help shaking his head again as he smiled and tried not to start laughing himself. He had been doing good to keep himself from laughing but now that Kanone was behind him it felt just a little harder to keep a straight face.
Aamori like a couple others couldn't believe the question that came out of Sri's mouth. Rather than start laughing or even smile at it she shook her head. It was sad just how many people mistook Celestine for a girl but this was the first time she'd ever heard him mistaken for a girl and his own cousins girlfriend. She sighed softly after seeing Kanone take to being behind Kyran and then started over to Sri herself. She knelt down a little so that she was at the girls level. She kind of felt bad that no one had answered her yet and figured she'd do it since no one else was. “....Celestine isn't Kanone's girlfriend.” She said as she glanced over to Celestine. “Celestine is a boy and he's Kanone's cousin.” She told her quietly. “Kanone is laughing because Celestine always gets mistaken for a girl and... this is probably the first time anyone has thought that he was his girlfriend.” She added, hoping that was a good enough explanation as to what was going on.
Nero listened quietly to Hikari while she responded to what he said. He nodded a little here and there as she spoke, mostly just acknowledging that he heard her and was listening. He sighed quietly as she was finishing and asked if she should tell her sister that it was a 'no'. “...Regardless of whoever gave permission I still don't really think it's wise.” He paused briefly. “Besides, I'm sure your father would like to enjoy this dinner with you now that you're back. How could he possibly enjoy it with two black splotches at his table.” He said, rather than asked. He lifted his eyes slightly and looked over to the side when he noticed Firra coming towards them with her hands full.

Celestine's face was steadily growing a darker shade of red as he listened to Kanone and LaRae laugh and the girl still had no idea what was going on. He could feel that he had his hands balled into fists, or well...the one that wasn't trying to hide his face. He stood there for a few moments, just looking half ready to go and crawl under a rock before he finally turned around and just started to walk back down the hall the way that they had come without so much as a word or glance at anyone. He knew Aamori had taken to explaining to the girl, and he was also aware that no one else was saying anything because they were probably afraid that if they opened their mouths they were going to laugh.
Sri looked up to Aamori when she knelt in front of her and finally started to explain what everyone else was laughing about. She blinked and stared at her for a moment before she glanced at Celestine upon hearing that he was a boy. Well...he certainly didn't look like a boy to her, but she knew that if they were cousins that they shouldn't be dating. "Oh...So he just looks like a girl..." she said understandingly. She blinked when she saw Celestine start to walk off and then laid her ears back. She knew that she wouldn't like to be mistaken for a boy all the time, so a boy probably wouldn't like being called a girl either. She turned and hurried after Celestine once he had gotten past them and then reached out quickly and wrapped her arms around his arm. "Aww don't leave..." she whined softly as she pulled him to a stop and then switched to clinging to his waist. "I still think you're pretty," she told him, hoping that helped a little.
Celestine stopped moving when he felt someone grab his arm and sighed heavily before he glanced down to the little girl. He stared at her for a moment when she latched onto his waist and then just stood there for a moment. He really would have rather just gone back to the bedroom and said to hell with dinner. He wasn't all that hungry anyway, but he finally sighed and raised his arm to wrap around her after she had tried to compliment him again, though that only made him buck his head and turn a little more red. "..............Thanks," he responded dryly.
Nanashi's ears fell back a little when he noticed Celestine starting to leave and then sighed softly, finally losing the urge to laugh a little. He glanced to Aamori for a moment and then edged a little closer after Sri had gotten a hold of him and stopped him. He reached over and placed a hand on her shoulder, offering him an apologetic smile. He hadn't really been wanting to laugh at him anyway, so he did feel pretty bad that he seemed to be taking it that way.
Celestine glanced up to Nanashi for a moment and then sighed softly before glancing away again and patting Sri's back before he lowered his arm and just gave Kyran an annoyed look. Well, the look was more directed at the hyena behind him, but he couldn't exactly glare through him, so he just kind of got the blunt of the mean look.
Kanone still couldn't seem to get a hold of himself. He was almost having trouble breathing he was laughing so hard, and his face was nearly as red as Celestine's. He finally just leaned his forehead against Kyran's shoulder blades, still struggling to stop laughing. He managed to be quiet for just a few seconds before he started to laugh again. He wasn't even sure if he was laughing because it was that funny or just because he was almost as embarrassed at Celestine was. He did have a tendency to laugh when he was embarrassed, so it probably wasn't too far fetched. The fact that he was easily amused probably wasn't helping his case any either. Finally he actually started to cough and had to cover his mouth and back up a little, but he was still laughing a little between coughs.
Selenity sighed softly when Nero made the comment about her father wanting to enjoy his dinner with her. "Oh don't be like that," she muttered under head breath, sounding almost disgusted. She looked a little disgruntled as well. She and her father really didn't get along very well anymore, so she honestly didn't care what he thought. "You don't have to coop yourself up in here just to suit him, he can just get over it," she said almost fiercely. She blinked when she noticed Firra out of the corner of her eye and then sighed softly. "Oh...have they already served?" she asked dully.
"...No," she responded simply, "I came up here first." She glanced away for a moment, looking almost a little uncomfortable. She wasn't so sure but it sounded like she might have interrupted something. "...Should I go back downstairs?" she asked finally as she glanced back to Selenity.
She sighed heavily and shook her head a little. "No, it's alright," she said in a softer tone, offering her a slight smile. "Thank you for coming up." She was at least glad that Firra seemed to be trying to keep a good eye on Nero and Reyes. Of all of the maids in the palace Firra was pretty much her favorite. she was the only one that seemed to know how to get things done without gossiping. She looked back to Nero and sighed softly. "Well, I will leave you alone then," she said in the same softer voice. She didn't really use that voice all that often on the trip. That soft, bell-like voice was mostly reserved for when she was playing princess.
Firra nodded slightly when thanked and then tried to curtsy a little when Selenity started to leave, mostly out of respect since they were expected to do so when greeting a royal or when departing or as the royal was leaving them. She had forgotten to try when she first got there, but she figured she had better get at least one in. The only problem was, the plate balanced on her arm slipped off when she did so and she didn't have a way of catching it. She let out a startled gasp and cursed mentally as the plate dropped, through she looked almost mortified when it didn't get the chance to his the ground.
Selenity's eyes widened a little when she caught sight of the plate slipping when she started to leave. She made a quick dive for it, just barely managing to catch it before it hit the ground, though she had to go to one knee to grab it and clamp her hand down on the lid as she pushed up on the bottom of the plate to catch it. It wobbled in her hand for a moment before it steadied and then she made a sighed heavily in relief. "Careful..." she said lightly before she looked up and saw the look she was getting. She just stared at Firra for a moment and sighed heavily as she straightened up and then glanced back to Nero again with a slight smile. "Well...this one probably doesn't look too pretty anymore," she said with a slight laugh. "But it should still be eatable if you're interested."

LaRae hadn't been able to help herself once she started laughing but at least she had managed to try and keep herself relatively quiet about it. She did notice when Celestine started to walk off and almost instantly sobered up. She hadn't really been laughing at him, more so at the fact that Sri had asked what she had and that no one had been able to explain a thing to her right away. Seeing him react like he had made her feel a little bad for laughing like she had but... even still... it had been funny.
Kyran was just a little caught between who he was paying attention to. He was trying to keep an eye on Kanone behind him but seeing Celestine start to leave like he did tried to steal his attention. He wasn't particularly phased by the look Celestine had given him because he kind of knew it wasn't intended for him, but for Kanone. After all he hadn't really laughed at anything, he had wanted to but he kept quiet so there was no reason for Celestine to be mad at him. He did look back to Kanone though when he heard him coughing but still laughing. “Keep laughing through your coughs, I'm sure Celestine would love it if you suffocated yourself right now.” He said as he glanced back towards Celestine momentarily.
Aamori waited patiently to make sure that Sri had understood what she explained and then nodded her head a little, almost weakly when she said that Celestine just looked like a girl. She kind of hated to agree to that but it was true... he did look a lot like a girl whether he liked it or not. She watched silently when Sri started after Celestine and latched onto him. She smiled a little as she stood up, at least until she heard her tell him that he was still pretty. Well..... you couldn't be mad at the child.... she was at least honest. Celestine was pretty... though a different choice of words would have been better suited since he was a boy but you really couldn't expect a young child to know that. She was at least glad that Sri had managed to stop him, maybe that meant that he would still come to dinner with them... if he could get past the child's mistake. It wasn't like she had embarrassed him on purpose.
Nero listened quietly to Selenity while she spoke and for the most part didn't respond. He did raise a brow slightly when she said that her father could get over it but it was short lived and likely not that noticeable. He didn't really want to stand there and argue with her over going to dinner or not. He had already decided that he and Reyes would sit this one out and he planned to stick to it. Aside from trying to be out of the way for her fathers sake he also wasn't sure he wanted to deal with any more light dragons tonight, especially ones with status... he'd had enough of them for one day, especially idiotic teenagers. He glanced back to Firra once Selenity had started addressing her and just listened to them without a word. He looked back to Selenity when she looked back to him and said that she would leave him alone then. “Enjoy your dinner, Princess.” He said teasingly. He turned back towards his door momentarily, prepared to open the door so that it would be easier to take the plates and glasses that Firra was carrying inside. He paused however when he noticed from the corner of his eye that Firra was dropping one of the plates when she tried to bow. He hadn't even bothered to try and catch it only because he knew he wouldn't be able to snag it before it hit the ground but that didn't matter anyway since Selenity had managed to save it before it was lost. He shook his head slightly seeing how mortified that Firra looked. He guessed he may look that way too if a Princess had just saved a plate of food he had dropped. He looked back to Selenity and nodded his head a little when she said that the one probably didn't look pretty anymore and that it should still be eatable if he was interested. “It's fine.” He answered. “There's no reason to take it back just because it took a spill.” He told her and put his hand out to take the plate from her so that Firra wouldn't have to carry it again.

Kanone coughed again when Kyran made the comment about Celestine loving it if he suffocated himself right now and shook his head. That only made him laugh a little harder. "Hahaha... I can't h-help it! Hahaha That's... Haha That's the first time I've ever been accused of...being gay and incest all in one breath...hahaha!!" He shook his head again and took in a few deep breaths, trying his best to sober up, though one glance to Celestine and that annoyed expression sent him bursting into giggles again.
Celestine just rolled his eyes at Kanone and growled something at him in their native language and he noticed made Nanashi draw back and blush uncomfortably and sent Kanone into another fit of laughter. He huffed and crossed his arms before glancing down to Sri again, since she was still clinging to his waist. At least the color was finally starting to fade from his face a little. It was a little easier to get over it when he knew everyone as opposed to when it was a bunch of strangers, though he still wished that they hadn't laughed since he didn't find a bit of humor in it. Though he wouldn't mind if they laughed after he put his fist down Kanone's throat. Finally he sighed again when Sri nuzzled him a little and reached down to place a hand on the back of her head. "Alright, alright..." he said with a sigh, "You can let go now."
Nanashi couldn't help but turn red at what Celestine had said to Kanone. He wasn't even entirely sure he understood the phrase, but it was one he wasn't about to repeat. He half thought Celestine might just be making up curse words just for the occasion.
Sri looked a little confused when Kanone made his comment, but she didn't ask since Celestine said something that confused her even more since it was completely in another language. She glanced at Nanashi for a moment and then just shrugged before nuzzling her head against Celestine a little, trying to get back onto his good side. She smiled when he said that she could let go now and took that as he was going to stay downstairs, so she let him go and just smiled at him.
It wasn't but another few seconds before another familiar face was making his way down the hallway, accompanied by a woman nearly twice his age practically hooked to his arm. Ellior had managed to get home and get changed and was now wearing a suit similar in style to the one that Nanashi and Nero were wearing, though his was white and the broaches and attachments were blue with gold decor around them, and a pale blue sash ran from his shoulder across his torso diagonally and attached at his waist before it ran around like a belt and hooked with with another of the large decorative brooches. His hair was combed down neatly this time with hardly a one out of place...and he looked downright on the verge of misery with his eyes cast down at his feet and his shoulders slouched just a little. He really wasn't looking forward to this dinner, mostly because he was worried about how it was going to turn out. This was the third time he had been dragged here to get twisted up in his mother's plans, and from what he had heard earlier, the princess was back from wherever she had been. How in the world was she going to take all of this?
The woman beside Ellior barely came up to his shoulder, with similar spiraled horns, though they were shorter than his as most females were as compared to males. Her hair, like Ellior's, was wheat blond and her wings were also colored similarly to his with the interior between the sparkling white scales fading from pink to purple. The style of her hair was simple, it was cut short straight across just above her shoulders and fell straight, though she did try to do something with it. The front was pinned back with small pins that had pink jewels attached to the ends. Her dress was simple as well, but very elegant. The bust was now cut and lined with lace that trailed up to the sleeves, which ran all the way down her arms and poofed a little at the top with another set of white lace trim at the base of each sleeve. The dress was pink as well along the top, and fit snuggly down to the waist where it poofed out a bit. The front opened a bit to reveal an under layer that was a paler shade of pink that was smooth silk rather than the raw silk of the darker shade. White ribbons laced down the front of the bust in a corset style, though it was only for show. There was another corset in the back that pulled the dress to her tightly. The woman was looking straight ahead and already looked a little annoyed when her violet eyes landed on the mostly unkempt and mismatched group ahead of them. "Straighten up, Ellior," she muttered harshly when she glanced at him at the corner of her eye and noticed him slouching, "and for heaven sakes wipe that look off of your face!"
Ellior sighed softly and straightened his shoulders again as he raised his head, though when he spotted the others, it wasn't very hard to wipe that look off of his face again. He smiled at them with the same warm, friendly smile he had on the street, though before he even got the chance to say anything they were pretty much forced to stop moving and he had to jerk his arm away from his mother to catch the little princess who had suddenly launched herself at him. "Whoa! Haha!" He pulled the girl up into his arms and spun her around once before setting her on her feet. "Nice to see you too, Princess," He said with another soft laugh.
Sri had looked back when she heard a set of heels on the floor, hoping that it would be her sister this time, though she was almost disappointed...until she saw Ellior. She smiled brightly and spun around again. "Elllioooorrr!!" she squeeled happily as she dove at him, and she laughed when he spun her around and sat her down. "Sri!" she reminded him when he called her princess and then she looked over to his mother and made a Face. "I told you to leave the mother at home..." she said in a dissatisfied tone.
Ellior laughed softly, and heard his mother give an indignant grunt followed by a muttered 'Well I never!' before he put a hand to the girl's head and mouthed, 'I tried,' silently.
Selenity had made a face at Nero when he called her 'princess' in that tone. She knew he was just doing it to pester her, but she couldn't go and punch him in the arm this time. She was fully prepared to just go and let him do as he pleased, though she wasn't very happy that her father was going to add to the reason for him to stay upstairs. She just smiled at him again when he said that the food would be fine. She had somehow expected that since Nero didn't really seem too picky. That was one thing she liked...had he been someone else, someone not in the group, that plate likely would have been asked to be replaced knowing most of the upper class dragons who stayed around here. "Alright," she said lightly as she passed the plate over to him and then glanced to Firra. She shook her head a little, seeing that the poor girl was just standing there stiffly with her eyes nearly the size of saucers. She started to turn to go and placed a hand on her shoulder gently. "Calm down, nothing was broken," she said lightly, "We all drop things occasionally. Next time you have your hands full like that forget the formalities. ...You should know by now I don't care, and it's not worth the dishes." She laughed softly and then looked back to Nero, "You enjoy your dinner as well, Nero," she told him before she continued town the hallway again, her dress flowing and dragging the floor behind her as she moved.
Firra couldn't bring herself to even breath for the moment. She couldn't believe she had just dropped that plate. It wasn't even so much the fact that she had dropped it in front of Selenity as it was that she had just dropped it in general and Selenity had saved it. She wasn't sure if she was shocked by that...she knew that Selenity was an odd ball among the royals, but even still that was a bit surprising, and it was still a bit of a surprise that she wasn't upset about it. She finally relaxed a little when she put her hand on her shoulder and nodded a little. "...Yes, my lady," she said quietly. She nodded her head to her as she left and then let out a long, relived breath before she started to inch closer to Nero again. "...Sorry about that...."

Kyran shook his head a little while he listened to Kanone behind him. He had to admit if anything that it was a little amusing hearing Kanone say what he had and he could kind of imagine it would be hard not to laugh if you were in his shoes. He sighed softly and glanced back to Celestine and watched as Sri nuzzled her head against him. Well at least the girl could apologize and try to make up for it while being quite affectionate. He thought it would be kind of hard to stay mad for long with her attached to you and trying to make you feel better... but then again Celestine could be pretty moody so maybe Sri's cuteness would have no real effect on him. He wasn't really that surprised to see Ellior when he showed up in the hall with a woman on his arm. He had remembered that Ellior had said he was supposed to be here but he still didn't know what for, though given the time and the fact that they were running into him here in the hall he was starting to think he may be going to dinner like they were.
LaRae continued to watch Sri for a few moments until she finally detached herself from Celestine. Sri really was cute... and that was reinforced when she saw Ellior and squeeled his name as she dove for him. She smiled a little and shook her head before she started to inch closer to Nanashi. She wasn't really that uncomfortable around new people, or people she didn't know too well but she figured Nanashi would find his way closer to her sooner rather than later, especially after seeing the woman who was with Ellior. She... looked a little.... well, intense. She almost immediately lifted her hand to her mouth to hide grin that crept onto her face when she heard Sri say that she told Ellior to leave the mother at home. That was funny enough to make her laugh but she knew she probably shouldn't start laughing at that in front of this woman.
Nero just kind of smiled a little smugly seeing as Selenity didn't even verbally retaliate against his calling her 'Princess' like he did. He took the plate as soon as she handed it over and then glanced to Firra since Selenity had started speaking to her. He stayed silent while Selenity tried to make Firra feel a little better and then nodded his head a little once Selenity had said for him to enjoy his dinner as well. “Later, Princess.” He responded and choked back the urge to snicker since he knew she would probably love nothing more than to hit him as hard as she possibly could for calling her that. He looked back to Firra and shook his head a little when she apologized. “Don't worry about it, no one's perfect.” He told her as he turned back to the door and started to open it. He pushed it open and was glad to see Reyes was sitting in the middle of Kanone's bed rather than standing by the door waiting for a moment to slip past him. He started into the room, straight over to his bed and set the plate down that he had in hand before turning on the nearest light so that Firra would be able to see. He figured she'd probably follow him inside so he didn't need the girl tripping like Kanone had or something.

Kanone finally just clamped his hand over his mouth and tried his best to stop his laughter, especially once he saw Ellior and the other woman coming up the hallway, though he couldn't seem to help another quiet snort of laughter when Sri said that she had told him to leave the mother at home. He pressed his hand harder over his mouth and shut his eyes tightly, his face still a couple of shades of red as he tried his best not to laugh again though there were already tears running down his face from laughing so hard. He knew that woman looked pretty scary and he didn't need to go offending anyone, but....he was going to have to breathe sometime.
Celestine did at least smile back a little bit when Sri let him go and smiled at him, though his attention rather quickly shifted behind him when Sri went running by him. He recognized Ellior easily enough, though he still started to edge away from everyone back here and make his way closer to Kyran and Kanone shyly, though he glanced to Kanone and rolled his eyes before slamming an elbow into his gut so he would breathe or something, though all he did was choke and start coughing again and while trying not to laugh, but apparently, his laughter had no off button because he almost immediately started choking on laughs again as soon as his hand moved.
Ellori's mother just stood there stiffly, crossing her arms over her chest before she started to look over the crowd again, her sharp eyes going directly to the wind dragon who was making so much noise. "And what is so funny?" she demanded harshly, assuming of course that he was laughing at Sri's disrespectful little comment.
"Nothing," Kanone responded quickly, his voice coming out in a shrill squeak since he answered right on cue with a cough. He couldn't help but start laughing a little again, and even heard Celestine chuckling quietly at that one.
Ellior was a little curious as to what was so funny as well, though...well he thought he knew. He laughed softly as well when the wind dragon squeaked out a response rather than speak normally, though he knew it hadn't been intentional which made it all the more humorous to him. "I believe we missed something," he said lightly, smiling good naturedly at the others before he glanced around a little.
She practically glowered at the wind dragon and then gave her some a death glare when he started to laugh along with them. "Hmph..." she huffed as she looked over the group again. She couldn't believe these girls had the gall to come to a formal dinner in pants, and that laughing imbecile hardly looked very dressed up. Even the thunder dragon's clothes looked dirty, and the only two who appeared even close to being properly dressed were the two halfbreeds, though the girls dress hardly seemed fitting for a dinner at the palace, and the boy...what on earth was he thinking wearing a headband and those black boots with that outfit? "What is this place coming to?" she muttered in her native language so that only her son and the little princess could understand, though she doubted that little pest even knew what she was talking about, "It seems they're letting anyone in here nowadays. I sincerely hope we're not expected to share a table with those two filthy halfbreeds."
Nanashi had indeed edged closer to LaRae again once Ellior and his mother came into the picture, though he hadn't had to move very far since she came to meet him. He would have smiled at Sri's remark, but that woman's look silence any amusement he had to the remark. He did smile weakly, almost nervously when he heard Kanone squeak a response at her, but again it was short lived. That woman seemed like she could suck the fun out of anything. Of course her next string of comments only caused him to sigh heavily and lower his gaze to his feet as his ears laid back a little. Sometimes, in cases like this, it sucked being able to understand people when they thought you didn't know what they were saying.
"Mother!" Ellior responded, looking almost horrified that she would even say that, especially in front of the princess. Then again...that was hardly surprising. His mother never had cared much what she said or in front of whom she said it.
"Hey lady, that's not nice!" Sri got onto her as well.
"Oh they can't understand me," she retorted irritably.
"How do you know? You shouldn't call people names, he understood you!" she said as she pointed to Nanashi.
Nanashi looked up, a little surprised when Sri pointed at him and pointed out that he understood. He didn't argue, but he just looked away again. He guessed it probably wouldn't be too hard for a perceptive person to determine since he did react pretty negatively to what was said and he had also been able to easily get her question earlier.
The woman just looked over to the halfbreed that Sri had pointed had, practically staring down her nose at him and huffed again before looking away. "I doubt that very much," she said as if she didn't even think he had sense enough to know his own language, let alone theirs.
Selenity looked back toward Nero when he made another princess comment and smirked a little as she held up her fist and gave him an almost obscene (obscene for her status anyway) gesture of punching her fist into her other hand, though she only did that because Firra wasn't looking. She shook her head and then continued down the hallway and back to the stairs, holding up the front of her dress as she started down so that she didn't wind up rolling down them instead.
Firra nodded her head slightly when Nero told her not to worry about it. She followed him to the door, still giving him room, only because she didn't want to crowd him or risk him backing up and causing her to spill the other plate as well. Once he had gotten the door open she stood there for a moment, at least until he got the light on, and then stepped inside carefully. She looked around for a moment and then moved over to where Nero had sat down his plate and placed the other beside it carefully before placing the glasses carefully down on the night stand. She reached into her apron pocket now that her hands were free and pulled out two sets of silverware wrapped in a white cloth napkin and laid them down beside the plates.

Kyran shook his head almost instantly when the comment that Sri had made started making it even harder for Kanone to stop laughing. He had thought the comment that Sri made was a little uncalled for but he wasn't really in any position to correct her and most everyone seemed to take it in good nature, well.... except the woman with Ellior. He watched Celestine when he started to come over towards him and Kanone and then watched as he wound up connecting his elbow to Kanone's gut. He couldn't believe this... Kanone was never going to stop laughing at this rate. He actually lifted his hand to his head and started shaking it again once he heard Kanone squeak out 'nothing' so quickly in response to the woman demanding to know what was so funny. He glanced over to Celestine and then to Kanone briefly and sighed softly before looking back towards Ellior and the woman. He didn't focus too much on what was being said until he heard Ellior and then Sri following suit saying that whatever the woman had said wasn't nice. He quirked a brow slightly and wished that he had been paying attention enough to know what he had missed. Judging by the reaction from Nanashi... it couldn't have bee anything pleasant. He sighed almost heavily and quite frankly wished that Selenity was on her way back before this potentially turned into a mess.
Aamori, like Kyran hadn't been paying too close attention to what the woman was saying at least until Ellior and Sri had spoken up. She had at least gathered that it hadn't been in a language that they could understand and it was probably better that way if a young child was even saying what the woman said wasn't nice. She too noticed Nanashi's reaction to what she said and raised a brow slightly. She wasn't really aware that Nanashi could understand the light clan native tongue but Sri seemed to think he could... which kind of made sense if he had been able to answer her question before without any help as to what he was supposed to answer. She absently started to edge a little closer to LaRae and Nanashi. She may not have known what the woman said but she was pretty sure she wasn't going to like it and frankly she was a little protective of her friends and even though she wasn't close to Nanashi he was close enough to be considered a friend.
LaRae had been paying close attention to what was being said and unfortunately she didn't have the gift of knowing what fell out of that womans mouth though she did glance to Nanashi moments after she had spoken. Since she knew he could understand most of the languages she knew that he would know what she said. She wasn't happy to see his reaction, not at all. That pretty much told her that it hadn't been something she would have liked hearing, or let go either. Then of course Ellior and Sri pretty much confirmed that she wouldn't have been happy with it. She stared over at Nanashi for a moment and almost hated to put him on the spot but she wanted to know. “...What did she say?” She asked quietly with a nudge, though didn't bother being quiet enough that the woman couldn't hear her. Part of her wanted to know what the woman said and the other part of her just wanted to see the woman's face when she found out that Nanashi really had understood her.
Nero had merely smiled a little at Selenity's response to his calling her Princess again. Now that he was in the room he watched Firra when she set the plate down and then the glasses and lastly proceeded to pull out silverware. He glanced over to Reyes momentarily, seeing that he had inched to the edge of the other bed upon seeing the plates that had been set down. None of them had eaten since breakfast so he wasn't surprised that Reyes was hungry. He looked back to Firra and smiled a little. “Thank you for thinking about us.” He told her quietly.

Celestine shook his head after Kanone continued laughing. All he got out of Kanone's squeak was a couple of very quiet chuckles that were probably just loud enough for Kanone to hear, and Kanone was almost doubled over. He had hoped that his elbow to the gut would hurt enough that he would stop laughing, but apparently that plan just completely backfired. He noticed the way that Kyran was looking at them and just gave him one of those helpless 'what else do you want me to do?' looks before he sighed again. He wasn't really paying very much attention to the woman, much like everyone else, though his attention did go to Ellior and Sri when they got onto the woman and he glanced to Nanashi briefly before he reached up and jerked Kanons's ponytail roughly to straighten him up. "Enough already!" he hissed at him irritably.
"OW!" Kanone yelped as he threw a hand up to his head. Well...that cut the laughter off pretty quickly. He rubbed his head a little and gave Celestine a little bit of a look before he turned away. "Geez..." he muttered under his breath. He wiped his face a little with his hands and then sighed heavily, taking in a few deep breaths. He still looked a little amused, though he had at least calmed down enough to pay attention to something else, though he had already missed pretty much everything going on on the other side of the room.
Nanashi glanced over to LaRae when she nudged him and sighed softly when she asked him that the woman had said. He looked at her for a moment and then sighed heavily. He really didn't want to be everyone's translator, but he also knew he couldn't really lie his way out of it with 'I don't know', or at least he couldn't with LaRae. He side glanced toward the woman and then noticed that Aamori was making her way over here as well. He just swallowed and then looked away. "...I wasn't really listening," he muttered. He knew that wasn't going to cut it either considering the way that he had reacted before. He sighed and then added reluctantly, "...Just something about them letting anyone in here anymore." He made sure to leave out the 'filthy halfbreeds' comment, since that was probably what would really make LaRae snap.
The woman kept her sneering gaze on the two halfbreeds, though she nearly raised an eyebrow when she heard the one ask what she had said. She didn't respond when he had said that he wasn't listening, though her mouth fell open a little when he actually paraphrased one thing that she had said.
"See, I told you he understood," Sri said in one of those angry 'I told you so' tones that little kids liked to use when they were just proven right after being made to sound stupid.
Ellior was just standing there with his hand up to his face and his other arm crossing over his chest, cupping his elbow as he listened to everyone. He really just wanted to leave. They hadn't even made it to dinner yet and this was already a nightmare. Finally, he raised his head again and moved from where he was standing to get closer to the two half dragons. He smiled, though it was a little strained under the circumstances, and reached over to place a hand on the sad-looking one's shoulder, though he blinked when he flinched a little at his touch. "Oh, sorry," he said softly, seeming a little confused, though he supposed he may have touched a sore spot or something. Either way, he pulled his hand back quickly. "At any rate, I'm glad to see that you're looking better. You looked terrible this afternoon. I'm glad you're feeling better." He really hoped that he could help ease up the situation a little, and he completely ignored the dagger glare that he could almost feel on his back from his mother. It was almost enough to make the hairs on the back of his neck prickle.
"Don't forget to wash your hands before we go to eat," she said flatly as she glared at Ellior. She couldn't believe he was actually willingly touching that thing.
Nanashi couldn't help but flinch a little when Ellior touched him. He usually was flinchy when he was nervous, and on top of not knowing Ellior, he was a man and a bit bigger than he was at that. He looked up to him slowly, looking a little like he wished he would just go away, though his ears picked up just a little at the remark that he was glad he was looking better. "...Thanks," he whispered, though is ears flattened again when he heard the woman's comment about washing his hands. Well, he knew what she was implying, and was suddenly glad that he hadn't said anything to LaRae.
"I already washed," Ellior responded simply in a matter-of-fact tone. "Thank you for reminding me, though." He half smiled at the dragon half and gently patted his shoulder again before he started to walk off.
Selenity, thankfully, made quick work of getting back downstairs and making her way back to the hallway once she was on the landing. She nearly rolled her eyes when she spotted the short-haired prude that she had been hoping wasn't going to show up for this dinner. "I'm back," she announced calmly as she made her way down the hallway again.
"Oh, good evening Princess Selenity," Ellior's mother responded with a smile as she turned around.
"...Good evening, Keren," Selenity responded sweetly in that light, airy voice, offering her a friendly smile, though...it was a little strained. It was hard to smile when all you could think was 'kill me now' and almost mean it. She glanced over to Ellior and offered him a smile as well, though it was a little more genuine looking., "And you must be Ellior...nice to finally meet you." Of course, she was playing dumb. If she had her way he wasn't going to know that they had already met this morning.
Ellior turned around quickly and stared for a moment, gaping much like everyone else had this morning when Selenity had first come down, though when she addressed him he turned a little red and bowed quickly. "Yes, your majesty, the pleasure is all mine."
Sri was quick to run back to her sister again and looked back toward Keren with a disgruntled look. Even someone her age could tell the woman was going into suck-up mode. "Sissy, she's being mean!" she told her angrily, "She yelled at Kanone for laughing at me and then called Nanashi 'filthy' and said that she didn't want to eat with him." She didn't know what 'halfbreed' was exactly, but she could figure it out easily enough. Nanashi was a dragon-half, and they both had 'half' in the name...and Nanashi was the only one who really responded to it and he was the real dragon-half. She knew that LaRae wasn't a dragon-half, so she didn't count her in the equation even though Keren had. Keren was a dimwit as far as she was concerned and she felt a little smug knowing something that Keren couldn't figure out.
Selenity looked down to Sri patiently, though there was a definite twitch in her patient, smiling expression after hearing what she said. "Is that so?" she asked in the same light tone she spoke in before, and she was still smiling sweetly as she looked up to Keren. "If you find yourself unsuitable to be in the company of my friends, you are more than welcome to dine in the kitchen, Keren."
If it were at all possibly, Keren probably could have killed Sri with a look, though she got rid of it quickly and forced up a smile of her own. "Oh no, your highness, that's...perfectly fine...."
"Good," she said pleasantly with a satisfied smile, "I will kindly ask you now not to look at my sister that way, and if you cannot keep your tongue in check then please refrain from speaking. I will not have you insulting my guests."
Keren again looked ready to grumble, but she managed not to say anything this time. "Understood, your highness, please excuse me." Honestly, do and of Akito's children have any manners!?
Firra nodded slightly in response to Nero's thanks and looked up to him, offering him a weak smile in return. "No trouble," she responded simply. "I have to get back downstairs. Should you need anything else feel free to ask. I will come back for the dishes later. ...If you wish to remain undisturbed, you may set them in the hallway against the wall so that I can collect them later." She felt a little little like a robot as she rattled off the usual list of things to say before leaving. She gave him a small curtsy before she started to turn toward the door again to leave. She started down the hallway briskly once she was out in the hall again and hurried back toward the stairs so that she could get down to help the others.

LaRae waited patiently for a response from Nanashi. When he finally spoke she hoped he wasn’t leaving it at just ‘I wasn’t really listening’. Obviously he had been listening if whatever the woman had said made him react the way he did. She quirked a brow slightly when he did finally answer. That didn’t entirely sound that bad, actually. She kind of expected to hear something worse than that. She glanced over to the woman and couldn’t help an almost smug looking smile when she saw the woman’s reaction to hearing what Nanashi said and then of course Sri following up in the tone she had. She watched silently when Ellior started closer to them and approached Nanashi. She had remembered Hikari’s comments earlier in the day when they first met Ellior so she wasn’t too worried about him, though she would’ve been more uncomfortable if that woman had decided to get closer. She watched Ellior for a moment though she did glance to the other woman, his mother, when she said for him not to forget to wash his hands before they ate. She wasn’t an idiot so of course she picked up on what she was implying and couldn’t help the glare that reached her eyes as she looked over at that woman. The look she was giving the woman softened considerably as soon as she heard what Ellior said in response to his mother. That at least made her feel a little better about Ellior, he didn’t seem to be as discriminative as his mother.
She looked to Selenity when she heard her call that she was back and had started towards them once again. Seeing that Nero wasn’t in tow must have meant that he had said no to her when she went to see if he’d come down to dinner. She was almost sad at that… she was sure that Ellior’s mother would’ve really lost it if there were dark dragons at their dinner table. She just stood there silently, at least until Sri had gone to her sister to tattle on Ellior’s mother, Keren. She just stared at Sri for a moment after she heard her say that Keren had called Nanashi ‘filthy’ and then turned to look at Nanashi with a very slightly annoyed look on her face. “….You left something out, I see….” She muttered quietly in her own native tongue as to not draw too much attention to what she was saying. At least she knew only Nanashi would understand her. She was a little bothered that he had left that part out and obviously on purpose… She knew she had a temper and could lose it on certain things but she was working on controlling herself at his request… so she was almost hurt that he had to do that all because he feared the worst possible reaction from her. She didn’t bother saying anything to Keren though she wouldn’t have minded it, even now after learning about the ‘filthy’ comment. She was pretty sure that Selenity was handling it just fine on her own. It was kind of nice seeing the woman taken down a peg by Selenity.
Nero listened to Firra as she spoke and told him that she would come back for the dishes later and that he could leave them in the hall, against the wall if he wished to be undisturbed. He nodded his head lightly and watched as she curtsied and started to leave the room. “Thanks again.” He responded and made sure that the door was shut securely after she had left the room.

Nanashi stared at Sri for a moment when she went to go tell on Ellior's mother, and then shook his head a little. He looked back to LaRae with a guilty expression and his ears fell back again when she muttered that he had left something out. "...So did she," he responded quietly in the same language that she had spoken to him in, "She was talking about both of us...not just me...." He glanced away from LaRae again and lowered his gaze back to the floor after filling in the rest of the gaps. He really didn't like being everyone's personal translator for people who couldn't insult people to their faces in a language that they could understand. It just felt weird insulting someone in someone else's words.
Ellior even dropped his head a little when Sir went to tell on his mother. He really didn't mind...but he kind of wished she hadn't repeated what she had said for everyone to hear. He knew his face was a little red after all of that, and he didn't make a sound while Selenity invited his mother to eat in the kitchen. That certainly was degrading since usually only servants ate in the kitchens, but he knew his mother deserved it and honestly he half wished that she would eat in the kitchen.
Sri looked satisfied when her sister got on Keren's case and then looked up to her again. "Soo where's Nero?" she asked again, tugging on her sister's arm a little.
"Nero decided to stay upstairs today. Maybe tomorrow," she told her lightly before she glanced around and sighed softly. "Alright, well, since everyone is here now, I assume, why don't we make our way to the dining room?" she suggested...now that everything was nice and tense. She started to move forward then and made her way down the hall toward the last doors and turned into the last door on the left.

LaRae glanced back to Nanashi momentarily when she heard him responding to her and in her native language. She sighed quietly upon hearing the rest of what the woman had said. She wasn’t really surprised since she did happen to look like a dragon half at first glance and no one really knew any better without further inspection. She shook her head a little. “…I don’t really care what she said concerning me and yes it bothers me that she would speak ill of you and not even to your face… and yes… I would have loved putting her in her place, just a little…” She paused and sighed almost heavily. “…But I’m more bothered that you couldn’t even trust me with the truth of what she said. I had to hear the important parts from a child.” She told him quietly, still speaking in her native tongue. “….As much as I would have liked to have said something to her, I am aware of our surroundings and the fact that we’re here as Selenity’s guests… I wouldn’t have done anything to jeopardize anyone’s position here.” She added. She was almost one hundred percent positive that she wouldn’t have made a big scene out of telling that woman off had she heard everything that was said. Part of her was already cooled off just because Selenity had gotten into the woman already and done a hell of a job of it in her opinion. Had this happened outside of the palace and out of anyone like Selenity’s sight she very well may have decked the woman after laying into her verbally herself but that was mostly because the woman seemed like she wasn’t the type who could actually learn something from being spoken to.
Aamori was still standing just off to the side of Nanashi, opposite of LaRae. She had kind of taken to looking over at the two of them a little since they were having a conversation she couldn’t understand… or at least she assumed it was a conversation. She was a little surprised that Nanashi appeared to be able to speak the same language as LaRae. She had been around the Earth clan enough to at least recognize some of the language and of course the fact that LaRae was speaking it was enough to give it away. She finally broke away from looking at them when she heard Selenity say that Nero had decided to stay upstairs and maybe tomorrow. She couldn’t even begin to imagine the look that would have been on Keren’s face had she seen her Princess show up just then and with a dark dragon, or two, at her side. That probably would have been worse than the fact that she was going to be eating with Nanashi. Once Selenity had suggested that they make their way to the dining room she nodded her head a little. She was still hungry even with knowing what the woman had said but Selenity more than made up for it and she didn’t exactly expect Keren to open her mouth again to insult Nanashi… well… at least not where anyone could tattle on her could hear. After Selenity started to move, she waited for the others to follow before she started after her.
Kyran hadn’t been thrilled knowing what all Ellior’s mother had said but he let it go easily enough once Selenity had come back and had gotten onto the woman for what she said. He was, unfortunately, glad to see that the seriousness had helped kill the laughter that had been coming from Kanone. He was kind of glad once Selenity had suggested going to the dining room. That at least should put some minds elsewhere and take the focus off of what had just gone on. He waited until Selenity reached where he had been standing, and then a couple paces after before following her. Unlike what he was used to, he kept a respectable distance from her once he started after her.

Nanashi's ears fell back a little more when LaRae said that she was bothered that he didn't trust her with the truth. "...LaRae," he answered quietly, still carefully making sure that he was only speaking to her, "I just...didn't want to say anything." He was trying to emphasis that, though he was probably looking more upset than anything. "It's not the first time. People always say what they want when they think I can't understand.... I just...don't see why everyone else needs to know what people are saying about me.... It doesn't matter. Besides it just feels weird... Would you want me to repeat to everyone in ear shot what you said if you had said something bad in this language if someone asked me what you said because they knew I could understand you?" He glanced away a little and sighed quietly, "...I also just...don't like telling everyone that I can do this.... A lot of people don't really like it...." Much like with LaRae's horns, it was a little satisfying to see the looks on their faces when he threw it back at them that he wasn't as ignorant as they thought, but it wasn't something he liked to demonstrate too often. It posed too many questions and some people got outright defensive or hostile wanting to know how he came to understand their language and why he bothered like they thought he was a spy or something. "...I'm sorry," he muttered quietly without peeling his eyes up from the floor, "...I wasn't trying to upset you." He sighed again and just glanced back toward the end of the hallway that led to the stairs again. It probably wasn't too hard to guess that he was wishing he had followed Nero's lead and skipped dinner to avoid this mess.
Ellior sighed softly and nodded respectfully when the princess suggested that they go to the dining room. He waited for a few moments until his mother had started forward after the princesses, the two wind dragons,a nd the , though he made no attempt to catch up with her. He was a little drawn by the two halfbreeds who were conversing. He hadn't a clue what they were saying, but he found it interesting that they were speaking another language and still understood one another. Instinct was telling him that it was the earth clan's language seeing as Nanashi could understand his language, why not the earth clan's as well? He noticed the way that he was looking the opposite way than everyone else was going and sighed softly before he started to edge forward. "...Nanashi, is it?" he asked softly as he stopped by the two of them again. "...I'm terribly sorry for her rudeness...she has a habit of speaking what ever is on her mind. It is one I wish she would break. Please do not let what she said bother you too badly, either of you." He added the last bit since the girl looked a little irate...or well, just upset. He smiled warmly at the girl, "I'm sorry...I don't have your name. I'm Ellior...though I believe you probably knew that," he said lightly.
Selenity glanced back for just a moment, long enough to see that everyone was following her except for Nanashi, LaRae, and Ellior, though she was sure they would catch up soon. She stepped into the dining hall, with Sri still clinging to her hand and then glanced around. The large room hadn't really changed, and there was still the long table with fare too many seats than they ever really seemed to need. Like most of the rooms in this place, it had a high ceiling and another of the large crystal chandeliers over the long wooden table, which was covered by a fancy white and blue laced table cloth. Again, the floors and walls of this room were similar to the others and there was a definite arch in the ceiling. With a place this big, it was pretty much easier to have most things made the same way. the biggest differences were in the bedrooms and bathrooms, then of course the lower levels. She also wasn't surprised to see her father seated in the large seat at the head of the table already. All of the chairs were high-backed with blue upholstery, though the one at the head of the table was a bit larger and more showy than the rest. "...Good evening, Daddy," she said lightly as she entered the room and started to make her way toward the table. She supposed that she should at least try and play nice, even though she was still pretty irritated with what had gone on earlier.
Akito looked up when he heard Selenity's voice and smiled welcomingly. "Welcome home," he told her as he stood up. Much like Ellior, he was dressed in white, with several gold broaches with blue gems, though is suit was considerably more decorative with a bit of lace around the edges of the sleeves and a cape attached at his shoulders, though it was more more decorative than the one that Ishta was wearing. earlier, even though it sported the same design on the back in gold rather than silver. The bottom edge was lined in gold as well, though there were still decorative blue patterns embroidered into it. He also had long snowy hair that fell to his waist in a satin straight ponytail which was tied at the nap of his neck with a large blue ribbon, and bangs that framed his face, parting so that the gem was easily visible. His eyes were almost gray with a hint of sky blue to them, and his tail was spade tipped rather than furry like his daughters'. His horns were the same as theirs, however, almost crystal-like and protruding from just above his ears. He looked past Selenity for a moment to the others who were entering the dining hall as well. He didn't recognize any of them of course, and they weren't exactly dressed to the normal standards he was used to seeing at his table, but he didn't say anything. He knew they had just arrived and he didn't really expect them to all dress properly. After all, they were here more because they had to be than because they were formally visiting. "Welcome, all of you. Ah...and good evening Keren."
"Good evening, Akito," Keren responded brightly upon entering the room.
Selenity's ear twitched a little. "...I see you two are on a first name basis now...," she said as lightly as possibly, though she still sounded a little disgusted at hearing Keren refer to her father by his name with no title whatsoever. It wouldn't have bothered her at all...had it been anyone but her. One of the maids could call him Akito for all she cared, but god she didn't want those two to be friendly.
"Well of course we are, dear, why wouldn't we be?" she responded innocently, though there was a hint of something near smugness in that answer.
Akito just smiled a little and shook his head. "I get as tired of going by 'your majesty' as you do, Selenity," he said calmly, "Keren has been keeping me company while you've been away, I hardly see a reason to continue with the formalities."
"That's...wonderful," she responded with a very forced smile, and a tiny hint of sarcasm though it was probably only detectable to the ones who had been around to hear her tell of the woman trying to become her step mother at one point.
Ishta, who was standing by the wall at the back of the dining hall rolled her eyes a little. She wasn't too thrilled about that woman either, but she couldn't really say anything if the king didn't mind. It was pretty much part of her daily routine to stand in at dinner time. She didn't eat, she just got to play body guard when there were gusts just in case something happened. There were also two cadets with her, both of which were considerably young, probably seventeen and eighteen from the look of them. The shorter one had straight silvery hair that was cut up above his shoulders, but still hung down to his nose if it happened to fall in his face. The taller one had pale blond hair which was spiked up and held back with a blue headband. They were wearing matching uniforms much like the guards in the woods had on, though theirs were more a darker shade of blue. All three of them were armed, though the two boys were standing there looking at the people entering and then talking amongst themselves quietly in their native language, at least until Ishta shot them a look to silence them. They weren't supposed to be talking at all, let alone discussing how pretty the water and wind girls were. Of course...it was the taller one who had started that conversation, as it usually was.

LaRae sighed almost heavily while listening to Nanashi. She supposed that she could see his point and she guessed she wouldn’t really want him translating her language to someone else who asked about what they were talking about… but this was different. The woman had insulted not just him but her and she was the one who couldn’t understand it. Then of course seeing Nanashi’s reaction to what she said… well of course she wanted to know what the woman said. Had he not reacted the way he did she wouldn’t have thought twice about what was said and wouldn’t have bothered asking him to translate. “….In this case, had you not looked like you did I would probably have given in and agreed that you didn’t really need to translate for me but I wanted to know what she said that made you react the way you did… because I care.” She paused. “….and of course if she, or anyone else for that matter, insulted me as well as you, I would want to know.” She responded quietly, still using her native language. She sighed quietly when he apologized and said that he wasn’t trying to upset her. “……..I know…” She paused. “…You wouldn’t intentionally upset someone; I don’t really think you’re capable of doing that…” She said and shook her head a little. “…I guess I just …overreacted… or something…” She muttered quietly, still so that only he could understand her. Being around Ellior’s mother was almost suffocating to the nerves. She wasn’t so sure she really even wanted to be around that woman again for any real length of time.
She looked up and over towards Ellior when he came closer and started speaking to Nanashi. She was at least happy to see again, that Ellior didn’t share his mother’s manners. She remembered hearing some of the things Hikari had said earlier about her being pleasantly surprised that Ellior wasn’t like his mother; she had to say she was glad he wasn’t. That one woman was more than enough to deal with. It was kind of sad however that her son was apologizing for her rather than her doing it herself. She didn’t really think she needed to be apologized to but the gesture was nice at least. She had been pretty upset but her mood was at least improving. She smiled a little when Ellior said that he didn’t have her name and reintroduced himself. “My names La—“ She cut herself off and shook her head, looking a little embarrassed since she immediately started to respond to him in her native language. She’d been speaking it enough to Nanashi that she forgot. “…Sorry.” She started again in the common language. “My name is LaRae.” She paused and thought momentarily before lifting her hand to sweep aside her bangs briefly. "Just for the record, I'm not a dragon-half." She said quietly and let go of her bangs. She had thought of just letting it go and letting anyone think what they wanted but part of her couldn't resist letting Ellior know so that his mother was the only one out of the loop.
Kyran of course picked up on the fact that Selenity was practically forcing her pleasantries towards that woman even in front of her father. He wasn’t really sure that he could blame her for not being thrilled about what she was hearing. He wasn’t entirely sure where he and the others were supposed to sit at the table but even still he did approach it, standing near a chair that wasn’t too close to where Selenity, Sri and their Father were. He’d never dined with Royals quite like this so he wasn’t entirely sure what to do but from what etiquette he did know, you didn’t just go right up and sit with the King and his daughters like you lived there. If you were guests he assumed you should sit a couple chairs away unless otherwise directed. He had noticed when they came inside that Ishta was here too, as well as two other guards. That wasn’t really surprising since there were going to be several dragons from other clans at this dinner.
Aamori followed the others inside and took to glancing around a little before she focused on the people in the room. She wasn’t particularly uncomfortable with the idea of eating dinner with a King and his daughters. She had eaten with Levana plenty of times and Elders ranked a little higher than Royals most times… though dinner with Levana was certainly different than dinner here. She, much like Kyran, had approached a chair herself and had chosen not to get too close. Once she was near a chair she cast her glance around once more, pausing briefly when she saw Ishta with two others. She wasn’t surprised to see them there either, frankly she was a little surprised that there were only three of them.

Nanashi sighed again softly when she said that she wouldn't have said anything if he hadn't reacted the way he did.. He hadn't even really known he was reacting other than to just look away from the woman and glance down to the floor. He stared at the floor enough that he really did see what a big difference it was. Apparently he was just going to have to start trying not to act like he heard anyone, though that was a little harder to do than he cared to admit. He glanced back to LaRae again when she said that she guessed she had overreacted or something. "...I little," he agreed quietly, still speaking in her language. He could at lest be honest...she was making a much bigger deal out of this than he thought was necessary. He raised his eyes to Ellior when he came back to them and smiled weakly at him, or tried. "...It's alright...," he responded softly. His eyes trailed over to LaRae for a moment and he chuckled softly when she started to answer Ellior in her own language, though he hadn't even really noticed until she had cut herself off.
Ellior titled his head a little, looking a big confused when the girl started to answer him in her own language, though he laughed softly when she apologized and shook his head. "It's alright...I've done that before," he admitted lightly. "It is a pleasure to meet you, LaRae." He bowed to her and then raised his head a little when she showed him her horns. " Oh?" he smiled again and then laughed softly, "I see.... I apologize again for the misunderstanding...though it really doesn't matter to me either way, miss." He smiled at her and added, "We shouldn't make the others wait too long." He stepped back and smiled at the two of them. "Come on," he said lightly, "...I would say don't be nervous, but this is my first time having dinner here as well...haha...." He glanced away a little and then turned his attention back to LaRae again. "Be the way...what happened to the young lady who was escorting you? ...The...one I ran over in the alleyway." He looked a little embarrassed all over again when he mentioned that, but he was curious. He did kind of like that girl after he spoke to her.
Celestine glanced around for a few moments once he was in the room and then edged nervously over to the table beside Aamroi and stood close to her, noticing that Kanone had pretty much come over to stand right beside him. He wasn't entirely sure what he was supposed to do with himself, though he had a feeling that Kanone was pretty much in the same boat.
Selenity shook her head a little after listening to her father and then glanced back to the others with a smile. "I don't believe we are going to bite you," she said with a soft laugh after noticing that they were all scooted a little way down the table. Yes, that was how things were usually done, but after she noticed that Keren was walking around the table to sit just one on the other side of her father, in the position that used to be her mother's she noticed with a good bit of displeasure, she didn't see what it mattered who sat where. She let Sri take the first seat from the front across from Keren, and then claimed the seat that would be closest to anyone else who may decide to scoot up, and about as far as she could decently get from Keren. She and her sister went ahead and sat down, as did Keren after she had, though her father remained standing for the time being, mostly because not all of the the girls were seated yet.
Akito glanced out to the rest of the group as they came in and then turned his eyes to Selenity when she made her comment before he looked back to them again and smiled warmly. "Yes, please feel free to sit where you like. I assume you have all gotten very well acquainted with my eldest daughter, no need to act like strangers." He did notice out of the corner of his eyes that Keren looked less than pleased that he was offering these others the same freedom that she had been granted, but he really didn't care. That woman got on his nerves half of the time as well, and he didn't particularly want her feeling too special.

LaRae couldn’t help feeling a little more embarrassed when she caught Nanashi chuckling at her mishap. Even with Ellior saying that he had done it before, it didn’t really ease the embarrassment completely. She smiled a little when he said that it was a pleasure to meet her and bowed. That was a little more than she expected. She occasionally got the ‘pleasure to meet you bit’ but wasn’t sure she often had it accompanied by a bow, especially from someone who wasn’t just some random commoner. She started to lift her hand a little to wave him off when he started to apologize again. “It isn’t necessary.” She didn’t really think that he needed to clean up after someone like that and she was kind of used to being mistaken for a dragon-half. She glanced around a little after hearing Ellior say that they shouldn’t make the other wait too long and felt a little more embarrassed all over again. She hadn’t really been paying too much attention to anything else after she had started talking to Nanashi and wasn’t entirely sure when the others had left. She also hadn’t focused too much on being nervous but now that she thought about it, how could you not be when you were going to be dining with Royalty? She looked a little surprised when Ellior asked about Hikari and couldn’t help chuckling a little. “You couldn’t think of something better to distinguish her by?” She asked and shook her head a little. “She’s here, you’ve already seen her.” She answered with a slight smile.
Kyran glanced to Selenity when he heard her comment and smiled slightly. He knew they weren’t going to bite but that didn’t change the fact that it was respectful to sit down the table from Royalty. He shifted his glance to her father when he spoke as well and gave them permission to sit where they liked. He bowed his head a little. “Thank you, your Majesty.” He responded and then stepped away from the chair he was going to sit in. He had planned to stay where he was even with what Selenity had said but after her father had given permission he wasn’t so sure that he could honestly sit that far down the table. He moved down a few chairs and debated between the chair right next to Selenity and the chair just one down from her. He finally just decided to sit next to her. They had been given permission to sit where they liked and he wanted to sit next to her if he could, so he was going to. He just stood by the chair and was going to wait for all of the girls to sit, including LaRae when she, Nanashi and Ellior finally got to the dining room.
Aamori had chosen the opposite side of the table across from Kyran. She didn’t bother moving closer to the head of the table until after Kyran had. She understood why they had started out further down the table and was kind of happy to hear that Selenity’s father didn’t mind if they sat where they wanted. That did make her feel like they weren’t quite so much outsiders. She continued to pick the seat across from Kyran, which left the one seat beside Keren open for her son and then sat down.

Ellior laughed softly when LaRae asked if he couldn't think of another way to distinguish her. "Well...she never gave me her name," he said softly, "I suppose I could refer to her as the young lady who showed a rather obvious dislike for me." He blinked when she told him that he had already seen her. "I have? ...Oh, I must have missed her...." He said, looking a little perplexed. Obviously, he didn't make the connection, at least not right away. He did think briefly that the only other girl he had met today was the princess but...the princess looked nothing like that girl on the street, and her voice was much too soft. Once they stepped through the entrance he smiled nervously and was almost immediately met with a disapproving glare from his mother, presumably for being a hold up and entering with what she assumed to be two halfbreeds. "I'm sorry, your majesty, I didn't mean to cause a delay," he apologized as he straightened up and offered the King an apologetic smile.
"Nice of your to finally join us," Akito commented lightly as his eyes trailed back to the two who were coming in behind him. Of course he noticed almost immediately that the two were halfbreeds. He glanced to Selenity for a moment and then motioned toward the table. "Have a seat where you like," he told them simply, though he half looked like he might not mind sitting them at the end of the table.
Ellior smile weakly and shook his head a little. "Forgive me, I have been a little busy lately...." Honestly, he just flat didn't want to come. He made his way around the table to the chair beside his mother reluctantly and offered the princess a weak smile. As soon as LaRae had seated herself and Akito sank into his chair, he sat down as well and sighed softly.
Celestine and Kanone had of course moved up as well to sit by Aamori, though Celestine had sat down when she did. His formal etiquette was lacking, obviously, and by the time he realized his mistake he was already seated and just looking up at the rest of the standing males. He hadn't been paying attention, but rather than bolt out of the chair again he just sat there a little stiffly with his face slowly reddening a little. Even Kanone had managed to stay standing, though he's apparently been watching everyone else more than just Aamori...or actually knew what he was doing, which he kind of doubted.
Nanashi, of course, was almost rigid when he stepped into the room and he looked around quickly upon entering to see where everyone was. He was glad to see that Kyran and Selenity were on the side of the table nearest the door and Aamori, Celestine, and Kanone were lined up on the other side was the table near Keren. Well...he knew where he was sitting. He bowed a little when the king addressed them to tell them where to sit, though why he had no idea. At least when he glanced up that seemed to have earned a bit of a smile. Still, that didn't make him feel any less like hurrying back out of the room as he got closer to the table and came to a stop beside the chair next to Kyran, and across from Celestine. He glanced up to Kyran nervously for a moment and then turned his eyes down to the table for a moment. He stood there stiffly until pretty much everyone was in their seats before he sat down himself, though he wasn't too far behind the last to sit down, he was just the last to actually start moving to do so.
Akito was a little amused with the male halfbreed's attempt at formality, though at least he was trying to be respectful. It was an awkward-looking bow and almost off-balanced him. Once the girl had sat down he claimed his seat and glanced ove to Ellior. "Oh?" he asked as if he wasn't entirely sure what an actor would be too busy with to come to dinner here. He brushed it off however and turned his attention back to a maid who was hovering at the door to motion for her to bring in the food before he glanced to Selenity. "Do you intend to introduce us to your guests?" he prodded.
"Oh!" Selenity exclaimed. Good job... "I'm terribly sorry, how rude of me," she said quickly as she stood up. "This is Kyran, Aamori, Celestine, Nanashi, LaRae, and Kanone," she said as she made her way back and forth across the table. "This is my father, King Akito. The rest of you have already met," she said pleasantly as she took her seat again, her cheeks a little more pink than they had been.

LaRae left the topic of Hikari alone after Ellior had said that he must have missed her. She didn’t really think she needed to go and tell Ellior that the girl he had run over was the Princess and part of her wouldn’t mind seeing his reaction when he Selenity was around and he finally got clued in. She tried not to look too nervous once they had followed Ellior into the dining room. She knew she wasn’t alone in this and the majority of the people at the table were all people she knew and was friends with so she didn’t really need to be worried, or at least she thought that. She bowed a little herself when the King addressed them as well and then started over to the table when Nanashi had. She of course took the seat next to him and sat down only after glancing around at the others a little and noticing that all of the girls were seated and the boys were standing.
Kyran glanced over to Nanashi after he had come over to the chair next to him and smiled a little at him before reaching over to set his hand gently on his shoulder for a moment. He was pretty sure that Nanashi was nervous and wanted nothing more than to just leave and go back up stairs, he just hoped he would try and relax a little. He let his hand drop back down to his side and then started to sit down after both LaRae and the King had seated themselves. He couldn’t help smiling a little at Selenity’s reaction to her father asking if she intended to introduce her guests. He nodded his head a little when she said his name and then bowed his head slightly when she introduced her father. “Thank you for having us, your Majesty.”
Aamori couldn’t help glancing over to Celestine briefly when she saw him sit down when she did and then noticed that he was realizing that he shouldn’t have sat down when he did. She just smiled a little and shook her head before glancing to Nanashi and LaRae when they came over to the table and eventually sat down. She, like Kyran and LaRae bowed her head slightly when Selenity introduced her and then again when she introduced her father. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, your Majesty.”
