Kyran just kind of shook his head a little when Ellior responded that he thought he had enough feminine features without wearing pink and started to show the pink and purple in his wings. He didn't think pink accents on the outfit would make him look feminine really but then again he was used to feminine being like Celestine now. If a guy didn't look like a girl the way Celestine did he didn't necessarily believe they could look that feminine to begin with, regardless of what colors were put on them. He finished getting his shirt on before Ellior since he hadn't bothered touching any of the broaches. He looked back to Ellior when he started explaining about the broaches he had replaced the pink ones with and then nodded his head a little. That made sense at least and he could have just said that over saying that he thought he had enough feminine features without wearing the pink. “I suppose I would switch them out too if they had meaning behind them.” He commented quietly before he started to slip back into his boots. He almost hated to put them back on but he didn't have any dressier shoes to wear, much the same way Nanashi hadn't either. He sighed quietly as he finished with his boots and glanced up at Ellior when he spoke. He stood up and dusted himself off a little before glancing to his clothes. Well, at least they were going to get cleaned... he just didn't think he liked not having anything else to wear until they were cleaned. But they did need to be cleaned... He nodded his head a little. “...I look forward to them being cleaned.” He paused. “I'm not too crazy about this style of clothes...” He admitted quietly.

Cyndel 12-19-2009 07:01 AM

Ellior smiled slightly when when Kyran said that he would switched them as well if they had meaning behind them. He just raised his hand to the larger one on his chest and laid his hand on it for a moment before he glanced away again. He didn't particularity like messing wit the things, but he did like them, simply because of who they had belonged to. He had no desire to follow in his father's footsteps, but he had looked up to him very much. He politely waited for Kyran to get his boots back on before he stared to move toward the door and held it for him once he got it open. He glanced back to him and smiled a little upon hearing that he was looking forward to having his clothes cleaned. He chuckled softly at his admittance that he didn't like this fashion style. "...Neither do I," he said as he held up his fingers, the tips of which were bleeding very slightly, "One would think after twelve years of being stuffed into these things, I would know how to put them on without stabbing myself, but apparently I'm not very coordinated." He sighed softly, "I suppose it is something that one simply gets used to. If I had my way my I wouldn't wear these things either, but it is kind of expected. Besides...I have trouble getting out of the house if I'm not dressed properly. What you saw me in earlier if about as...simple as I can get away with." He smiled at him again, "But it does look nice on you," he told him lightly as he waited for him to leave the bathroom and followed after him.

Yotsy 12-20-2009 12:55 AM

Kyran started towards the door after Ellior, casting one last glance towards his clothes before realizing something and thumping his hand off of his head. Of course... He groaned quietly and hurried out of the actual bath room and into the lavatory while Ellior had the door. He was still listening to him but he hurried over to his vest and yanked it out of the water before he started pulling at the buttons over the pockets and fetched the items out of it. He didn't think he usually forgot about these types of things but there was a first for everything... He sighed heavily as he pulled out the important document he had gotten from the Elder at the festival and then the little fabric he kept in the other pocket. The fabric from his mother didn't bother him much that it got wet but he should've known better than to forget about the paper from the Elder. He suspected it was treated so that it wouldn't run when wet... but still... how could he have forgotten that. He hung his head a little and started to move to an open space on the counter away from the sink he'd been soaking his vest in before he slowly opened up the document to see if anything had damaged it. It didn't look like it was badly damaged but it certainly had a bit of water soaking it. He thumped his hand off his head again lightly and sighed heavily, reminding himself that these things happened.

He had vaguely been listening to Ellior while he was fishing the paper from his vest and luckily there wasn't a whole lot he thought he needed to comment on. Though had he not had his mind elsewhere he probably would have had more to say to him just out of courtesy. For instance poking a little fun at his having pricked himself so much or saying that he thought even as an actor and the son of his mother he should have been able to wear whatever he pleased. He probably would've even gotten around to disagreeing with him about the way he looked in the light clans dressier clothes... but at the moment he was a little more concerned with the state of the paper and the fact that he felt a little like an idiot for leaving it in his pocket... soaking.... with the rest of the his vest.

Cyndel 12-20-2009 01:55 AM

Ellior blinked when he realized that Kyran was more preoccupied with something in the sink, though he hadn't really noticed until he stepped into the door. He went silent, feeling a little silly that he had kept talking when Kyran barely seemed to be listening. After a moment he stepped closer and glanced down, noticing that it was a piece of paper that he was worrying over. He stood there a few feet behind him for a moment before he stepped a little closer. "...Um...I can try to dry that out for you if you like..." he offered a little uncertainly. He knew how, though he didn't have to do it very often. He just wasn't too sure that Kyran wanted him hovering around or messing with his things, which was why he asked rather than step up and start trying to dry it out for him.

Yotsy 12-20-2009 02:14 AM

Kyran continued to stand there and stare down at the paper for a few minutes, thinking he should maybe try sandwiching it between wash cloths or something to try and soak up the water. Perhaps leaving it like that in the room he was using over night or something might help. He hadn't even been paying attention to where Ellior was, not that he cared where the guy was. It wasn't like the paper couldn't be seen by other people or anything. He sighed softly, still feeling a bit idiotic for forgetting about the paper. He glanced over to Ellior when he heard him speak and then looked back down at the paper afterward. He did need it dry... especially if for any reason someone important needed to see it. “Can you? I mean without anything else happening to it?” He asked as he looked over at him. He wasn't really sure how Ellior intended to go about drying it but he did need to be careful what he did with the paper since it was one of a kind. “It's really really important.... so I can't chance anything damaging it beyond repair...” He told him quietly. He hoped he hadn't come off mean or sounding like he didn't trust Ellior... but the paper was just that important in his eyes... he couldn't fully trust anyone who didn't understand just how important it was. “...It's the paper that lets everyone of us move freely between the different clans territories...” He added quietly and then sighed a little heavier. “....and I'm supposed to be the one with enough sense to take good care of it....”

Cyndel 12-20-2009 04:25 AM

Ellior blinked when Kyran asked if he could do it without anything else happening to it. "...I...," he started, though he paused again when Kyran went on to add that it was a really really important paper. He nodded his head weakly when he mentioned what the paper was for. "I see..." he said softly, "...So, no pressure," he said with a soft laugh, referring to his ability to dry the paper without damaging it. He smiled at him and then laid a hand comfortingly on his shoulder after the last thing that he said. "...You seem like this sort of thing happens rarely," he said lightly, "Even the most responsible people make mistakes occasionally. It's part of living. Don't worry...I'm fairly certain that it isn't ruined." The paper looked like some sort of parchment-like material, meaning it was thick, and fairly durable for paper. "Don't worry...I believe I can manage."

He pulled his hand back and reached down to the paper, very carefully picking it up, starting to try to unfold it, though he paused when he realized it was sticking. He stopped puling at it immediately before it could tear and stared at it thoughtfully. "Hmm..." He glanced to Kyran and smiled weakly, "...This may seem counter productive, but it may fuse together if it dries like think... I think it is about as wet as it can get anyway." He edged over to the sink that Kyran had plugged and lowered the paper, laying flat in his palm into the water so that it was just lightly submerged. The water easily separated the edges and he used his free hand to carefully unfold it before it lifted it, keeping his hand under it rather than hold it by the edges wince they were liable to tear. He held it over the water for a few moments to let it drip and then reached for one of the hand towels and flattened it out before laying it down on top of it as flat as he could manage. He put the towel under it so that it wouldn't stick to the counter top as it dried. He then held his hands over the paper, letting them hover just an inch above it before he started to concentrate, moving his lips in a silent chant. Moments later his hands were surrounded by a bright white aura, though it was brighter beneath his hands than above them. The aura set his skin to sparkling dimly as if he had been sprinkled with tiny flecks of white glitter. he moved his hands slowly over the paper, moving back and forth to make sure that he covered the whole thing. Moments after the aura appeared, the water droplets that had been on his hands started to evaporate, and soon after a light steam started to rise from the paper as the water evaporated from it quickly. This was pretty much like sun-drying something, though it was a very expedited process as sun drying could take hours, and this would take only a few minutes. He didn't look up from what he was doing, and appeared to be concentrating hard on what he was doing since he didn't want to mess up this paper at all. It was pretty soaked and paper was fragile...so he did have to watch himself and be very careful. If he overdid it he could cause the thing to catch on fire. This was much easier to do on fabrics as they weren't as prone to bursting into flames, but he knew what he was doing. He had spilled things on some of his play scripts before and had to dry them out, which was why he knew what he was doing when it came to paper.

Yotsy 12-20-2009 05:03 AM

Kyran couldn't help the pressure that went along with trying to dry out this specific piece of paper. It was important... really important... He looked over at Ellior when he touched his shoulder and started at an attempt to make him feel a little better. He was responsible... which was part of the reason he thought he was put in charge of the paper to begin with. He was just hard on himself consider his job and everything. He should have been able to look after something like a piece of paper. “...I shouldn't make mistakes like this though...” He said quietly. It was pathetic and a little embarrassing, honestly. He didn't think the paper would be ruined but hearing that Ellior thought the same made him feel a little better about the chances of it's survival. He stepped off to the side, just out of the way but with plenty of room to watch what Ellior was doing. He didn't say a word and just let him do whatever he thought he needed to do in order to start drying the paper. He watched a little more closely when he did finally start to dry the paper. He hadn't really known that light dragons could use their magic for something like this... he knew water dragons could but... well... he never thought a light dragon could. Speaking of water dragons... he supposed if this didn't work out he could always hunt Aamori down and get her to help. He did look a little concerned when he noticed the light steam rise from the paper. His first thought was that it wouldn't take a lot for that poor paper to catch fire... he really didn't want that to happen. He was half wondering if he shouldn't have just gone and looked for Aamori to begin with...

Cyndel 12-20-2009 08:20 AM

Ellior paid absolutely no mind to Kyran while he worked, and it took him about three or four minutes before the steam from the paper started to dissipate, meaning there was little water left on the paper. He ceased his chanting the instant that the steam started to become non-visible and the aura from his hands faded. He stood there for a few seconds and then lowered one hand to this side while he touched the paper witht he other. It was dry for the most part, there was still a little moister to it making it flexible, but it was only very mildly damp and would likely no longer stick together or very easily tear. "There, I guess that's the best I can do," he said with a slight smile as he picked it up and handed it over to him. At least it was already stiffening up a little again and wasn't entirely flimsy. "I hope that's good enough, I would be afraid to do much more than that. It could combust if all of the water dried out of it like that." He smiled weakly and then titled his head a little. "...I've gotten stuck coming home int he rain with my scripts before...I've gotten pretty used to trying to dry things out like that. Paper's tricky, but it's doable. I haven't caught anything on fire yet," he said with a soft laugh.

Yotsy 12-20-2009 08:37 AM

Kyran watched kind of closely as Ellior seemed to be finishing up. He was relieved to say the least when he dropped one hand and used the other to feel the paper. At least it hadn't caught fire like he was afraid it could have. He reached for the paper when he started to hand it to him and let out a faint sigh of relief at feeling it was definitely less wet than it had been. It barely felt wet actually. He looked the paper over closely, just to make sure there wasn't any smudging or running anywhere and then glanced back up to Ellior with a bit of a smile. “Thanks, this is great.” He told him honestly. The paper was probably dry enough to be folded back up but he didn't really want to do that and wasn't exactly sure that he had pockets. He hadn't really gone looking for them on the outfit. For safe measure he would probably just go put this in the room he was using on top of a high flat surface where the canines couldn't get to it. He looked back over at Ellior as he started to tell him about having been stuck in the rain on his way home with scripts, which was why he had experience with drying paper. He just smiled a little and shook his head. “Don't jinx yourself now.” He commented quietly as he started to reach for the piece of fabric he had set on the counter as well as a hand towel. He figured he could leave that on top of a hand towel in his room along with the paper. He sighed quietly. “...Now that we've successfully been sidetracked...” He paused. “...We should get going, but I do need to stop by my room first.”

Cyndel 12-20-2009 09:02 AM

Ellior smiled brightly when Kyran thanked him and said it was great. "Good, I'm really glad I could help," he said brightly. He did really enjoy being made to feel useful, even in small ways. As one could probably imagine, nothing he did was every good enough in his mother's eyes, so he just had to do his best and hope it was good enough and if it wasn't...well, he usually expected to hear as much. He laughed softly and nodded a little when Kyran told him not to jinx himself. "Haha...yes, I suppose it would not be a very good thing to set my room on fire," he agreed. Again, he nodded when Kyran said that they should get going and then again when he said that he needed to stop by his room. "Alright," he said lightly as he started to move toward the door. Again he moved toward the door and held it open for Kyran while he was there before starting to follow him out into the hallway.

Yotsy 12-20-2009 09:28 AM

Kyran smiled a little seeing how happy being praised seemed to make Ellior. Considering that he was an actor you would almost think that he was used to being praised for something or another and yet it almost looked like he wasn't exactly accustomed to it or well, maybe not used to hearing it over such small things. He shook his head slightly at his comment about it not being a very good thing to set his room on fire. “Not unless you originally planned to redecorate.” He commented. He followed after Ellior once he started for the door and continued out into the hallway since Ellior was holding the door. He paused long enough to make sure that Ellior was following before he started leading the way back towards the guest rooms. He picked up on the directions pretty easily, at least from the guest rooms to the bathroom and then the guest rooms to the dinning room. He would probably have the place figured out well enough the further he got to explore. Once he came upon the guest rooms he continued down to the second door from the stairs and paused as he set his hand on the handle. “...Beware of canines... oh and a cat.” He commented with a slight smile before he opened the door and started inside. He knew Nobu and Esen were in here as well as Kyiri and he wasn't sure how Ellior did with animals, but then again he didn't whether or not Ellior would follow him in or just stand by the door. Nobu was just laying on the floor at the foot of his bed. He was at least glad to see Nobu was abiding by the 'no animals on the furniture' rule. Though.... he wasn't so sure how long he would force Nobu to listen to that in all honesty. He continued into the room and over to the dresser to set his things out on top of it. He laid the paper out first to one side and then laid out of the hand towel and set his piece of fabric on top it before carefully rolling it up and setting it off to the side. He just hoped that Kyiri didn't get interested in what was up here.... He thought better of it and pulled open the first drawer and pushed whatever was inside aside before setting the paper inside, followed by his little hand towel roll and then closed it up. The last thing they needed was Kyiri running off with the paper or destroying it... or something...

Cyndel 12-20-2009 10:07 AM

Ellior laughed softly at the comment about planning to redecorate and shook his head a little. "I don't think my mother would appreciate that no matter what my intentions were," he said with a laugh. He followed Kyran down the hallway to the door and then blinked a little when he said to watch out for the animals. "Oh?" he commented as he stepped a little closer to the door. He didn't follow him inside but rather stayed politely just outside the door since he didn't want to intrude. He did look around for the animals however, and was a good bit surprised at what he saw. He didn't really remember seeing the canines before, and it was a little hard to believe they were real once he did see them. "...Interesting..." he said curiously. He blinked when he noticed something else about the room. "Goodness....I believe the green one is shedding..." he commented when he spotted the pale green feathers spread all over the place.

Kyiri had successfully managed to get around Esen and knock over the garbage can while trying to collect a feather to play with from it, and once they all spilled all over the floor, she would up just scatting them everywhere like a little kid playing in a pile of leaves. She rolled around in them and then would dart across the room and wound up losing a few here and there. Esen had been trying to put the feathers up and was still running back and forth to the garbage can with them, but at the moment, Kyiri was just laying on the bed wrestling with one of the larger feathers. She did perk up when she saw Kyran come back and jumped off of the bed before running over to him and standing on her hind legs while she pawed at his pants legs, looking half ready to jump. She was kind of interested in all tassels and shiny things he was wearing, and after a moment she did dive up and smack at one, though Kyran was too tall for her to jump high enough to hit it.

Yotsy 12-20-2009 10:19 AM

Kyran had ignored the mess of feathers when he entered the room, only because he wasn't surprised. Celestine probably should have done something better with them than leave them were a rambunctious and curious cat could get to them. After he was finished with putting his things away he shut the dresser and glanced over to Ellior before looking about the room a little. “Esen may take offense to that... she's not the one shedding.” He said as he shook his head a little. “Though I'm sure Celestine would love to blame it on Esen if it saved him some embarrassment.” He laughed quietly and then glanced down to Kyiri when he noticed her trying to jump up. He suspected his clothing had some interesting looking cat-toys attached... or at least that was the only reason he could think of for why she'd even bother trying to jump on him. He didn't want to take a chance at losing something so he didn't bother kneeling down to her or picking her up. “I see you've been misbehaving Kyiri.” He said as he shook his head a little. “...You know... Celestine's probably going to be pretty upset with you. He spent a lot of time trying to put those in the trash...”

Cyndel 12-20-2009 10:37 AM

Ellior blinked when Kyran said that Esen wasn't the one shedding...he assumed that to be the green canine. He was a little more thrown when he mentioned Celestine and then called her a he.... "Celestine...is a boy?" he asked, sounding a little confused before he blushed lightly. "Oh my...I'm glad I didn't say anything.... I thought he was a young woman, especially when he sat down with Aamori...." He shook his head a little then chuckled softly. He hadn't even noticed that Celestine had feathers on his wings, though that was mostly because his hair was so long he couldn't even see his wings without some effort. He watched as the little cat jumped at Kyran's clothes and then laughed softly. He finally stepped into the room just a little and smiled. "Aww...That is the strangest looking cat I have ever seen, but whatever she is, she is adorable."

Kyiri looked up at Kyran when he mentioned Celestine being upset with her and meowed loudly before she ran back and picked up a large feather from the floor with her teeth before running to deposit it in the trash. She came back to Kyran's feet and meowed again before she stood on her hind legs and pawed up at him again. She was distracted for a moment when she noticed Ellior and heard him call her adorable. She meowed happily and then ran over to him and rubbed around his legs for a moment before she decided to try for one of his tassels. She jumped, but again, she missed and wound up landing on her feet beneath him.

Ellior laughed softly and knelt down to pick the little thing up and stroked her fur a few times. "Aww...hello there. Are my clothes interesting?" You can't play with those, I'm sorry." He chuckled as she started to purr and just started rubbing around his face like he was happy to see him for whatever reason.

Esen was still running around behind Kyiri picking up feathers one at a time and going to throw them again again. Once Kyiri had gone to pester Kyran, she started again, trying to hurry up, but after a few minutes she just flopped down int he middle of the carpet and let out a heavy, whining sigh before looking up at Kyran as if begging him to do something with that crazy kitten. She had been trying her best to keep her from making a mess, but the little thing was wearing her out. It had way more energy than she did. Right now she didn't even have the energy to make a fuss over the comments about her shedding and Celestine loving to blame her with the shedding if he could.

Yotsy 12-20-2009 10:48 AM

Kyran sighed softly when he heard Ellior ask about Celestine being a boy. “Unfortunately it is not a widely known fact.... but yes, Celestine is a boy.” He answered. “It is a good thing that you didn't say anything or referred to him a young woman... you would have earned yourself a plush spot on his list of people he would love nothing more than to smack for not noticing he was really a boy.” He sighed quietly. “He's pretty sensitive about his looks... and his current state of... feather loss...” He said before glancing back down to Kyiri. He watched as she responded to what he said by throwing away one feather she had been playing with and then came back to him. “...She is adorable.” He agreed easily though he was also thinking he would've loved to have added that she was a mess maker. He watched as Kyiri took off to love on Ellior and just shook his head a little. “Be careful of her claws.” He commented when Ellior picked her up. He turned his eyes to Esen momentarily when he noticed her give up on the cleaning and just flopped down in the middle of the carpet. He sighed almost heavily when he saw the look she was giving him. “You know I can't take Kyiri with me.” He told her. “A cat at the dinner table wouldn't go over too well with the Royal family, especially with this little mess she made.” He added with a sympathetic smile.

Cyndel 12-20-2009 12:43 PM

Esen groaned when Kyran said that he couldn't take Kyiri to dinner. After that she just dropped her head to her paws and then looked at the window and grumbled softly as if she either wanted to go out or throw Kyiri out it...she wasn't too sure which she would prefer herself right now.

Ellior smiled again and laughed softly when Kyran mention that he would have earned himself a place on the list of people Celestine would have wanted to smack. "I can imagine..." he said softly. "And here I thought I had feminine issues," he said with a soft chuckle, "Well...at lest I know now. And I suppose I'll know not to mention his wings...." He smiled again at the little cat and laughed softly when he was told to watch her claws. "Aww...you like to claw?" he said with a slight smile. He raised one finger tot he kitten's nose and tapped it lightly before starting to pet her again. He laughed softly and gave the cat another little cuddle. "Oh...she's so cute. If mother wouldn't kill it I wouldn't mind having one." He did like animals a good deal, but his mother couldn't stand them, so he had never had one. He brought home a few, but they alway wound up kicked out or disappearing. He laughed again softly as the little thing started licking his cheek and then sighed and finally started to put her down. "...I guess we do need to get back downstairs...," he said almost reluctantly. He knelt and gave Kyiri one final stroke as if he couldn't resist the temptation at his feet and then straightened up and started to dust the lose fur from his shirt.

Kyiri was having a ball loving all over Ellior. Right now she was just glad for some attention. After he set her down and she realized they were about to leave again she meowed and then there was a puff of that blue-gray smoke before she was crouching on all fours in that adorable little child form, her hair still splitting to either side of her back to reveal the single tail that went down the center. she looked at to Kyran with a pout before she crossed her arms over her bare knees. "Don't leave me in here by myself again! It's boring!" she whined, looking about half ready to cry, "It's not fair, I'm hungry too! Why does Celestine get to go downstairs if I can't!?"

Ellior's eyes widened when the cat seemed to...explode at his feet. He jumped back so violently that he slammed into the door frame with a lout crack as his skull connected with the wood and then stared wide-eyed at the little girl with distinctly...cat-like features kitting below him. He recognized her easily. The long ears poking for either side of her head looked the same and the color patterns of her hair and tail were the same...as well as those big amber eyes. He couldn't stop staring at her, looking both bemused and amazed. he didn't even seem to register just yet that he had just cracked his head on the wall, he was too busy gawking at...the cat.

Yotsy 12-20-2009 01:02 PM

Kyran sighed softly at Esen's response. There really wasn't a whole lot he could do about her and he could just imagine the mess she would get into downstairs. He looked back to Ellior and smiled almost weakly. “Yes... your feminine issues pail in comparison to his...” He commented quietly. He wasn't that surprised to hear that Ellior's mother had a distaste for animals... that really... didn't surprise him... the woman seemed to have a distaste for a lot things. He nodded his head a little when Ellior finally said that he guessed they did need to get back downstairs. They were slowly wasting more and more time. Once Ellior had Kyiri on the ground he started to step away from the dresser and head for the door though he paused practically mid-step when he caught sight of that vaguely familiar puff of blue-gray smoke that surrounded Kyiri. He lifted his hand to thud against his head lightly when he saw that Kyiri wasn't exactly a cat anymore. He sighed softly and looked to Ellior for a moment since the poor guy had cracked his head on the door frame. He was going to ask him if he was alright but Kyiri's whining derailed that thought almost instantly. “You're not up here by yourself. Nobu and Esen are up here with you.” He told her and then shook his head a little. “...and Celestine got to go downstairs because he wasn't a cat who needed to be a good girl and stay in the bedroom with the canines...” He told her calmly. “....and ....you still can't go downstairs Kyiri...” He sighed softly. “You're no where near presentable for dinner ....you're naked.” He pointed out quietly before glancing back to Ellior finally. He didn't think they were getting out of not taking her with them... especially now that she had thumbs. She'd just open the door and leave herself... “I'd love to be able to explain this to you... but I don't even quite understand it...” He started. “....For now could you maybe flag down a maid and tell them we need a dress or something for her... oh and some flat shoes.”

Cyndel 12-20-2009 01:54 PM

Kyiri wasn't really very impressed with Kyran's answers to her complaints. "They're dogs!" she pointed out as if that should be obvious, "They won't play with me and they can't talk to me, so they don't count! Essy just tries to give me a bath!" She made a face at him again, "So? He's mine, I'm supposed to do with him!" she told him firmly. The roles were still reversed in her mind...he was hers more than she was his. She blinked when she said that she couldn't go downstairs because she was naked. "So?" she said as if that made not a bit of difference or sense to her. "I still have my collar on," she told him as she pointed to her neck at the pink ribbon and bell...which somehow seemed to adjust to her size when she changed forms because it managed to never come off. She sighed and stood up, her long hair nearly dusting the floor as she did so. She walked over to Kyran again and just leaned against his side before raising her hand to swat almost boredly at the tassels hanging from one of the brooches on the lower part of the shirt.

Ellior was still a little struck by amazement, but he finally managed to tear his eyes away from Kyiri to look at Kyran, and at the same time seemed to remember he had gotten a little too well acquainted with the door frame. He winced a little and rubbed the back of his head before nodding to Kyran. "Uh...y-yes, of course..." he responded before he stepped out of the room and started to make his way down the hall toward the stairs. It didn't take him very long to find a maid and explain to her what had just happened and that he needed a dress for the girl. The maid looked at him like he was nuts, but eventually brought him a dress and small pair of shoes. They didn't have quite as many child dresses on hand, but he had tried to give a bit of a description of the girl. In the end he wound up with a pastel pink gown with spaghetti straps and then another set of sleeves that hung off the shoulders. At the waist was a sewn on rose and a layer of chiffon hung diagonally over the silken dress, leaving a soft flowy layer hanging down mostly to one side. She shoes were simply pink heelless Mary-Janes. He returned to the room with the dress hung over his arm since the maid had scurried off on him and then paused awkwardly. "Erm...here?" he said a little uncertainly as he held the dress out toward Kyran.

Kyran sighed quietly at Kyiri's responses, mostly about Nobu and Esen being dogs and that they wouldn't play with her. Of course those two wouldn't really play with her... not in a place like this... Zale on the other hand. He cut that thought off and shuddered a little. He was so very glad that Zale wasn't in here too. He ignored Kyiri's speaking of Celestine like he was hers... he didn't think he'd win that argument so there was no point in wasting his breath. He stared down at her when she told him that she was still wearing her collar and sighed almost heavily. This was pretty damn close to dealing with a real little kid... “You're in a human looking body now Kyiri... you can't just wander around in nothing but your collar.” He told her gently. “You need to wear clothing just like the rest of us, especially while you're here.” He added. He glanced to Ellior when he responded and watched him step out of the room. He just hoped that he came back with something quickly. He didn't bother making her stop swatting at the tassels on his shirt. At this point if it kept her even slightly entertained while they waited on Ellior he really didn't care what happened to the silly decorations. He gave a sigh of relief when Ellior finally returned with a dress over his arm. “Thank you.” He responded as he reached out to take it from him. He didn't bother handing it over to Kyiri to put on by herself. He was pretty sure that she didn't know how and thankfully he did grow up with a little sister so he knew dresses... or at least knew them enough to know how to get a little girl into one since he'd done it before. He undid whatever fasteners it had and then knelt down so that he was closer to Kyiri's level. He laid the dress across his knee and then reached over to lift up Kyiri's arms. “Hold those up just like that for a moment.” He told her and waited for her to comply before he lifted the dress up over her head and carefully pulled it down, moving her arms through the necessary straps as he came to them. Once it was on he pulled her arms down and then set his hands down on her shoulders and pushed a little. “Turn around, please.” He waited for her to turn before he proceeded to redo the fasteners so that she was stuck in the dress. Once it was on and fastened he pulled his hands back and smiled a little. “There, now you just need to put the shoes on and you can go downstairs with us alright.” He glanced up to Ellior for a moment before looking back to Kyiri. “If Ellior would be so kind as to undo the buckles on those and set them on the floor you can just step into them and we can get them buckled up and then we can go.”

Ellior sighed softly when Kyran took the dress from him and smiled a little, nodding again when he thanked him. He was glad that Kyran seemed to know what he was doing. He was an only child, so he knew absolutely nothing about putting on dresses other than it looked like a royal pain in the tail. He watched as Kyran helped the child into the dress and then made a bit of a face upon seeing that it was way too long for her. Perhaps if she had been given heels, but in flat shoes, that dress was very liable to trip her up. He shook his head a little and sighed softly. Well..that was what they had...he supposed it would have to do for now. At least the top part seemed to fit her alright. He blinked when Kyran mentioned the shoes and then looked down. "Oh...sure," he said quickly as he started to undo the buckles on the shoes and set them down to that they were in the right order for her to put her feet in.

Kyiri, almost like a rag doll let Kyran position her arms and did what he said, though she had that pouty look on her face the whole time. She huffed as she was stuffed into the dress and then looked at the shoes skeptically. "...No, I don't like them," she said as she crossed her arms. The didn't like for things to be on her feet, like most cats, so of course she didn't want to put her feet in those things and have them strapped on. "I'm not dumb, they'll be annoying and you'll laugh!" she said as she crossed her arms and refused to move her feet.

Ellior smiled slightly and knelt down again. "Aww...no one's going to laugh at you," he said sweetly as he reached over to stroke her hair. "The shoes are not made to be annoying, they're made to keep your feet warm and keep you from hurting your feet on anything," he explained gently. "Come here, Let's just see if they fit, if not I'll take you downstairs so someone can help you find some that do, okay?" He smiled at her warmly and watched as she almost skeptically came over to sit on his knee. He reached down to pull her dress up enough to reveal her feet and then picked up one of the shoes and carefully slipped her foot inside. "There, does that hurt?" he asked with a slight smile, watching as she shook her head. "Show me where your toes are." He smiled again as she leaned down and pointed at an near near, but not right at the top of the shoe. "There, see, they'll fit just fine. They shouldn't be annoying. They'll probably make clicking noises as you walk, but you could have fun with that, couldn't you?" he asked with a soft laugh as he reached down to buckle the shoe for her. He made sure not to pull it too tightly and then picked p the other shoe and tapped her leg to get her to hold out her foot so he could put that shoe on her too. "There now..." he said brightly as he stood and pulled Kyiri to her feet. "What do you think?"

Kyiri stood there for a moment now that the shoes were on her with her ears pinned back in annoyance. She perked up a little when Ellior was holding her, but once he put her down she started to try to wiggle her toes and found it difficult. She started to whine and shifted her feet and little before she started trying to shake the shoes off and whines louder. "Get them off! I don't like them! I can't move my feet, get them off!" she yelled at them, her voice rising in a bit of a panic before she started crying.

Ellior's ears fell back as soon as the girl started to cry. "Oh..I'm sorry honey..." he told her, sounding worried. He didn't know what he had done wrong, but he really hoped her going into a fit didn't upset Kyran. Still, he knew the shoes weren't hurting her, and honestly she sounded more afraid of them than anything. He blinked when she next thing he knew, the girl had dove on him and wrapped her arms around his neck, burying her face in his shoulder while begging him to get them off. He stroked her back gently and finally caved with a heavy sigh and started to unbuckle them for her. he looked over to Kyran very apologetically, looking almost upset to the point of tears himself, though his eyes weren't watering. He just looked like they could be at any moment. He didn't take making children cry very well, apparently.

Kyran sighed quietly when Kyiri's first response to the shoes was that she didn't like them. The only reason he bothered with asking Ellior to get her shoes was because this was a formal dinner and she didn't really need to be running around barefoot. He also made sure to ask for flats because to his knowledge Kyiri had no experience in shoes so heels would only make things harder. Honestly he just wanted her to try them and see how she did with them. He wasn't sure if he was surprised or not at her not wanting to even try them on at first but thankfully Ellior was able to sweet talk her into at least trying them on. He just stood there and silently watched while Ellior helped her into the shoes. He was glad to see the shoes fit, or at least according to the two of them they were going to work well enough. He was just about prepared to tell them they could get going... at least until Kyiri started to throw a fit about not being able to move her feet. He didn't care for the fit she was throwing but if the shoes really did bother her that badly then he didn't think he could make her wear them. She'd be miserable and everyone would know it. He sighed softly as Ellior wound up just taking the shoes off of her and then looked up at him apologetically. He waved him off a little. “It's alright...” He said quietly. “We can't make her wear those if she really doesn't want to... the dress however is not coming off... not while we're around other people.” He said a little sternly. He stepped a little closer to them and looked down at Kyiri. “I'll compromise with you Kyiri...” He started. “I won't make you wear any shoes so long as you make sure no one sees your feet.” He told her gently. “It'll be like a game, okay. If anyone tells me they saw you showing off your feet I'll find you another pair of shoes and you won't be allowed to take them off no matter how much you cry.” He thought it a fair enough trade... and the dress was long enough that no one should see her feet... at least not unless she tripped and fell but he wouldn't hold that against her.

Kyiri relaxed a little once the shoes were off of her feet, but she still clung to Ellior's neck tightly and sniffed for a few moments before she would even uncurl her legs and put her feet back on the floor again. She had no real intention of letting go anytime soon, he could just carry her downstairs if they didn't want her walking on the floor without those stupid things on her feet.

Ellior nodded weakly when Kyran said that they couldn't make her wear them. He sighed softly, still feeling bad for making her cry like that. He let her cling to him for now and rubbed her back gently while Kyran offered her a deal. He smiled slightly and looked down at her again. "Sounds like an easy game to me," he said softly as he playfully nuzzled her cheek.

Kyiri finally peeked out of Ellior's shoulder to look at Kyran, though it was almost a glare. Her large amber eyes were still watering, and she looked like she could have clawed his face off when he mentioned making her wear shoes again. She finally nodded in agreement reluctantly after Ellior said ti sounded like an easy game. It kind of did...but she still didn't like what happened if she lost.

Ellior smiled slightly whens he finally agreed and then gave her a hug before he raised his hands to her arms. "Alright sweetheart, I'm going to need to stand up one of these days," he said with a soft chuckle. "Come on, let's go downstairs now." It took him a moment, but he finally got free of her and smiled at her as he reached down to wipe her eyes. "Do you know how to walk in that dress?" he asked her, "You're going to have to hold it up a little on the front so you don't step on it."

Kyiri blinked and then looked down to the dress that was piled at her fee. She started for a moment before reaching down near the bottom and grabbing the fabric before raising her arms up over her head, pretty much exposing every inch of her lower half and hiding her head. "Like this?"

"Ahh no!!" Ellior corrected as he pulled her dress back down quickly. "Like this..." He chuckled and moved behind her before taking her hands, "Pinch it at the knee..." he told her, waiting for her to do so, "and then lift your arms...just a little and hold them out. "There see? Now you can walk without tripping, and no one can see your feet." He placed a hand on the top of her head and stroked her hair again before he glanced over to Kyran and smiled. He chuckled softly and shook his head. "Well, this is going to be interesting to explain," he said with a soft laugh.

Kyran had experience dealing with little girls and stubborn ones at that... Minako was a little terror growing up so he kind of knew how to deal with girls who acted similarly. He also had a bit of an immune system for their tantrums too... which could make him come off as a little mean when a girl was sitting there crying in front of him and he just wasn't budging an inch. He watched silently as Ellior told her that his deal sounded like an easy game. It really was easy... so long as she didn't go around announcing to everyone and the King that she wasn't wearing shoes. He ignored the look that he got from Kyiri at the mere mention of shoes and making her wear any. He just smiled a little when she finally nodded her head in agreement. He was glad he wasn't going to have to stand there and argue with her about it. Any other place but this palace and he really wouldn't have cared if she wore shoes or not but clearly she wasn't as easy to convince to wear shoes as her Celestine. He was ready to get going though he paused when Ellior started asking her if she knew how to walk in that dress and then started to tell her what to do. He just watched silently though he did start laughing quietly at Kyiri lifting her dress up the way she did. He shook his head a little. At least Ellior was able to show her the proper way to carry the front of her dress. He looked to Ellior when he heard him say that this was going to be interesting to explain. He supposed if you tried to tell the exact truth it could be. “...I don't know that we really need to go telling everyone that this is Celestine's cat.” He said quietly. “...I don't know how that would go over with the likes of your mother... or the King for that matter... I mean... having a cat at the table, even if in this form... probably isn't the most proper thing...” He didn't exactly want to go announcing that Kyiri was a cat... especially in front of people who may have a negative reaction to it. The last thing they needed was someone offending or hurting Kyiri's feelings. He didn't know how many of the group would come to her defense, probably most of them if she was offended or hurt... but he also didn't know how Kyiri would take to someone like Ellior's mother. The King at least... seemed to be a little more accepting so he may not flip his lid. Either way... he wasn't so sure they needed to go telling everyone what Kyiri really was.... even if it was kind of obvious by the tail and ears...

Ellior smiled weakly when Kyran pointed out that he didn't know how the likes of his mother would take to knowing this little girl was a cat. "Well...." He really didn't know how she would respond to that either. He shook his head a little and sighed. "I suppose you're right... I just meant it was going to be interesting that we came up to bathe and we are coming down with a new addition to the dinner table." He chuckled softly and then shook his head a little before he started to make his way to the hallway again and glanced back to the canines. "Well, maybe those two can relax now at least," he said with a soft chuckle before he started to make his way back toward the stairs.

Kyiri tried to hold the dress up and out a little like she was told to and started to walk, almost unsteadily as she followed after Ellior. She looked up to Kyran for a moment and then grinned and little, obviously glad she was getting her way and getting out of that room. "Where did Brother go?" she asked him. She was in a hurry to run and go find Celestine. She knew he had never gotten to see her like this, and since he had decided to show it off, he may as well get to see her too. She was kind of excited that she would finally get to hug him instead of nuzzle all over him.

Yotsy 12-21-2009 05:47 AM

Kyran looked to Ellior while he responded and then nodded his head a little when he explained what he had meant and then nodded his head a little. “...Well, she originally didn't come down because none of us thought she would behave... which isn't that far from the truth...” He paused. “So... we could just say that she agreed to behave so she's coming with us now rather than staying up here with Reyes and Nero.” It wasn't exactly the truth but it was close enough and Reyes and Nero were indeed up here so it could pass that they were leaving the rambunctious manner-less child upstairs rather than attempt having her at a dinner table. He glanced back to Nobu and Esen momentarily after Ellior had commented that maybe those two could relax now. Esen was probably thrilled that they were taking Kyiri with them... Nobu looked like he could easily work at ignoring the cat either way. He started to follow after Ellior and Kyiri when they started out of the room and shut the door quietly behind him on his way out. He looked down at Kyiri when she looked up at him and grinned a little. He just shook his head a little and tried not to smile too much. She certainly was just like a little kid. He stared down at her for a moment when she asked about 'brother' and assumed that she had to be talking about Celestine. “....Celestine? He's downstairs with everyone else...” He paused. “I'm not exactly sure if they're still in the dinning room or not.” He added and then decided to reach down and pick her up. He scooped her up in his arms and held her a little closer to him. He didn't bother giving her a chance to protest. “We'll get down the stairs faster if I carry you.” He told her quietly. He didn't particularly want to set her loose on a set of stairs when she was in a dress and he wasn't sure she'd ever really worn one before now. Then of course this was longer than it needed to be so the stairs could be even more of a hazard.
