Kanone looked over to Aamori and smiled at her, pushing his hand back through his bangs again. His hair seemed to be his pride and joy, but he didn't comment on that. "...She is, isn't she?" he said softly. "...You should see her fussing with herself in the mornings, it's kind of funny." He shook his head when she asked if he was going to hide. "Nah..." he said with a half smile. "He'll have forgotten by the time he gets free."

Hikari looked over to Kyran and shrugged slightly. "...I don't know...tears?" she said softly. She couldn't really imagine what else it would be. "...Maybe he feels guilty for leaving her in the first place?" she shook her head. "...I don't know..."

Sonia smiled at Celestine again and then started to pull him toward the house. "Come inside, you look like you're about to fall over, dear. I just made lunch, you should eat something and get yourself cleaned up." she told him as she pulled him along.

Celestine opened his mouth to protest, but all that he managed to get out was a quiet. "Uh..." He really didn't feel like eating, and his appearance was the least of his worries. He realized that his clothes were rather dirty by now, and his hair could definitely stand to be washed and combed out, but he didn't really care. He couldn't bring himself to argue with her, though, he just let her practically drag him into the house.

Kanone watched as his mother pulled Celestine away. "Um...Mom..." He said, waving a hand at her, but she didn't seem to be paying attention. He sighed and shook his head, "Heh, sorry about that. She has a one track mind sometimes." He said with a weak laugh, and a hint of jealousy. He did love Celestine, but he didn't want him stealing his mother. "Come on inside, all of ya." He said as he started back toward the house himself, "Unless you'd rather look around town a bit." he amended. He looked back and looked down, trying to figure out where Kyiri had gone since she'd hopped off of Celestine's shoulder when Sonia came at him. He blinked when he saw Nobu. "Whoa, what the hell is that?" he muttered, stopping dead. Obviously, this was the first time that he'd paid any mind to the canine that was glued to Celestine. "Another pet of his?"

Aamori smiled a little hearing him talk about his mother in the mornings. She glanced away for a moment, thoughts of her own mother flooding her head. She gave a soft sigh and suppressed them as best as she could before looking back to Kanone. "...If you say so..." She paused. "I have a feeling though, he'll remember when you least expect it." She commented with a chuckle. Her eyes trailed over to Celestine again when his aunt proceeded to drag him inside. Seemed like Celestine just wasn't in much of a defiant mood at the moment; That was a little surprising. She looked back over to Kanone when he tried to get his mothers attention; When she practically ignored him she gave a soft sigh. She reached out momentarily and set her hand on his arm for a second. "It's alright Kanone." She paused. "He's been away for awhile, and will be leaving again soon..." She said quietly. She pulled her hand back rather quickly when he started to head towards the house; Almost like she shouldn't have touched him to begin with.

Kyran looked at Hikari for a moment. "...I think I'd be inclined to believe the guilty one... but I have to say I really have no idea either." He gave a sigh and then looked up when he heard Kanone tell them to come inside. He laughed lightly when he heard Kanone's reaction to Nobu and shook his head lightly. "No, he isn't a pet of Celestine's." He said glancing down at Nobu. "He's with me." He paused. "His name is Nobu. As for what he is, I'm not entirely sure. We're just considering him a canine and leaving it at that." He stepped over to Nobu and knelt down to pet his head. "And he's friendly, so long as you're not a threat." He added lastly.

Nero stood there for a moment until he heard Kanone say that they could look around if they wanted. He assumed that they weren't leaving right away and if they did someone would come find him. He gave a sigh and turned away from the others, facing the way they'd come. "...I'll be back later..." He said quietly before starting to walk off with his hands in his pockets. He wasn't going to go any further into the village mostly because he didn't want to be around a bunch of people and he assumed up town might house more people.

Kanone smiled slightly to Kyran and nodded. "Ahh..." he said before he looked back to Aamori and laughed slightly. "Ah, I'm used to it." he said simply, "She's always like that when he's around, he just lets her push him around. He's always been a bit of a mama's boy. I guess she needs someone to pamper. I won't put up with it most of the time." He shook his head and opened the door since Sonia had closed it behind her when she went in. He shook his hand and then motion around. "Well, make yourselves at home." He said as he gestured toward the inside of the house. "I'm going to go see what lunch is." He said as he started down the hallway.

The inside of the house was nicely decorated with hardwood floors and emerald green rugs. It seemed the entire theme of the house was white and different shades of green with purple accents considering that there were irises sitting in vases all over. The house opened up into a sitting room and directly to the left of the door was a table with a vase and then a long white couch that took up the remainder of the wall, the corner, and part of the next wall and was ended by another table with a vase identical to the one on the first. If one looked to the right they would see the large windows that were viable from the front along with a large golden harp. In front of the couch a low wooden coffee table sat on one of the rugs and back a ways at one end was a chair with wooden legs and deep green cushions. Directly across from the couch was a large marble fireplace, though the fire was not lit at the time, and on past the fireplace a hallway led down to the kitchen. The hallway was lined with three photos, the first of Sonia and Kanone and a man that looked a lot like Kanone in the face at least, though his hair was darker, as were his eyes. The next picture was of Kanone when he was probably about six, Celestine when he was probably about four, and another young boy who seemed even younger than Celestine by a year or more playing in the large field that had been turned into a cemetery. The last was a picture of a young man, probably in his early twenties. He looked strikingly similar to Kanone's father, though with slightly longer and better kept hair, and maybe a little smaller.

Hikari smiled at Kanone and then looked back to Nero when he said that he'd be back later. "Alright, Nero." She said before starting into the house after Kanone. She was a little fascinated with the flowers in the vases and the way the room was decorated. "Oh wow..." she breathed when her eyes caught on the harp. She slowly started to wonder over in that general direction.

Nanashi walked up to the porch, though he hesitated at the door as if unsure if that invitation was really meant for all of them. He really didn't want to go in and then get chased out again. He couldn't really tell if Kanone had anything against him for what he was or not, but his mother might if she stopped paying attention to Celestine long enough to notice. Finally he took a step inside the door and glanced around slightly. He could smell something cooking from down the hall; it smelled like some kind of soup.

Sonia had already dragged Celestine back to the kitchen and had him sitting at the table. He didn't look too thrilled even still, but he was staring down at a bowl of soup that had been placed in front of him. He could see pieces of tarka floating around along with a lot of other plants. There didn't seem to be any meat in it at least. He was just looking at it with a spoon in his hand while Sonia urged him to eat from across the room where she was making up several more bowls for the others. Apparently she had at least noticed them and realized they were with him.

Yotsy 06-24-2008 09:41 PM

Aamori nodded her head slightly. She could actually relate to that mostly because her mother liked to smother her in attention where as her brother didn't like it so much. But every family where there was more then one child was bound to be similar. She followed after Hikari into the house and just kind of stopped and stared for a moment in awe. The inside of the house was quite lovely, this room at least. She smiled faintly as her eyes caught the irises spread out around the room. She glanced over to the right side of the room, noticing the harp and Hikari inching closer to it. She rather quietly followed after her to look at the harp too; She hadn't seen one of those in awhile.

Kyran continued to pet Nobu for just a little while longer before standing up and heading for the porch once Kanone had opened the door again. Nobu of course followed inches behind. He turned and set his hand of flat telling Nobu to stop. "Stay out here Nobu. Sit on the porch, and just relax. Okay." He said lightly running his finger tips across Nobu's head before turning and heading inside after Aamori. Once inside he looked around a bit before stepping closer to the sectional couch. They were told to make themselves at home and he probably would've sat down except he didn't want to remove his blades. He sighed softly and then stepped away from the couch before wandering over to the right side of the room where there was an open wall he could lean against.

Nobu's ears laid back slightly when he heard Kyran ask him to stay outside. He watched Kyran walk inside and then walked over to the edge of the porch to lay down, with his head just barely hanging over the edge. He hated when he was asked to stay out of houses, but he knew he wasn't allowed inside all of them.

LaRae gave a small sigh when she noticed that everyone was heading inside, including Nanashi. She would've much rather just sat on the porch with Nobu but for some reason she was tempted to go inside; Especially since even Nanashi was going in. She hesitated for a moment once she got to the porch and looked down at Nobu for a moment before following after Nanashi. Once inside she couldn't help but look around and she was quite surprised to see so many flowers.

Cyndel 06-24-2008 11:14 PM

Hikari looked at the harp and smiled as she examined it. She was half tempted to try to play it, but she was no good on a harp. She had only ever tried to play a piano, and she wasn't the best at that either, though she was passable. She placed her hand on the top of the harp and then pucked one of the strings. "Hmm..." She glanced around the room again and started to wander over to admire the fireplace. She looked it over for a moment and then wandered over to sit down on the couch since no one else was heading toward the kitchen.

Nanashi just stood stiffly by the door, looking about as uncomfortable as he had when he first entered Kyran's house. He looked down at the nice clean floor and thought about taking his shoes off so that he wouldn't get it dirty, but he decided it was probably safer to leave them on just in case.

Kanone just went to the kitchen for a few moments ans saw that his mother was trying to divide up the soup up evenly enough for everyone. He shook his head slightly and then turned to leave the kitchen, heading back to the living room again. "Hey, there's food in there if you're hungry. She's already dishing it out." he informed them. He noticed Aamori over near the harp and half smiled. "Oh yeah that's mom's little hobby." He said simply.

Kyiri was still outside on the porch since she wasn't quite ready to go in yet. She seemed to know Celestine was going to be preoccupied for a while. She finally scurried up to Nobu from where she'd went to hide under the porch step and then hopped over to Nobu. She sniffed at him a few times before curling up in a tiny ball beside him. She purred softly as she nuzzled against him and closed her eyes like she intended to take a nap there.

Yotsy 06-24-2008 11:52 PM

Aamori watched for a moment while Hikari looked over the harp and then plucked a string. She half thought Hikari might have tried to play it. Though when Hikari walked away to look at the fireplace she sighed faintly and then took a step closer to the harp. Her ears twitched when she heard Kanone speak of food and she glanced back to look over at him. She wasn't all too hungry as of yet and with the hopes of fish later she didn't want to go filling up at lunch. She nodded lightly when he said it was his mothers hobby. "Well, I didn't expect it to just be for show." She said with a soft chuckle. "Though, I am still surprised to see it." She said lightly. "They're all over the place in Kairava... It's almost mandatory to know how to play them, if your a woman that is..." She commented quietly before turning her attention back to the harp for a moment.

Kyran lifted his eyes and looked over at Kanone when he said that his mother was fixing food for everyone. He quirked a brow slightly because he didn't think the woman even focused on anyone but Celestine. He shrugged lightly and continued to stand against the wall for a moment. He was a little hungry now that he thought about it. He reached down to his holster and lifted the blades out and then knelt down to set them on the floor. He was careful about how he put them down because he didn't want them to damage the wood floors any. He stood back up and hesitated for a moment just leaving them there, but he didn't want to wear them around the entire time he was in the house; let alone if he was going to sit down anywhere. He sighed lightly and finally decided that nothing was going to happen to them, he was worrying too much. He finally stepped away from them and started to walk over to the hallway that Kanone had come from and then back into the kitchen quietly. Once in the kitchen he glanced around for a moment and continued to just stand there a little nervous for once.

LaRae continued to stand near Nanashi, though not quite as stiffly as he was. She glanced around again noticing the harp that Aamori was looking at and then the fireplace that Hikari had gone to inspect. She gave a soft sigh before stepping away from the door and towards the couch since Hikari had moved to sit on it. She'd pretty much been waiting for someone else to sit down first before she touched the couch. She did finally sit down, not too far from Hikari.

Cyndel 06-25-2008 12:29 AM

Kanone looked at Aamori and smiled at her when he saw her interest in the harp. "Oh, really?" He said, "Does that mean you know how to play?" he asked asked as he walked over to her. He stood there for a moment and then smiled, pulling the bench back a little to where she could sit down and position the harp. "Let's hear." he said with a hint of a dare in his voice. "You look like you want to, anyway." he said simply as he walked over to the window seat and flopped down in front of the large pained windows.

Sonia looked up from the bowl of soup when the thunder dragon came into the kitchen and smiled. "Hello there." she said sweetly. "Um...I don't remember how many of you I saw out there..." she said as she looked down at the bowls. Thus far, she'd only filled two aside from the one that she'd given Celestine. "I hope you were hungry...I kind of forgot to even ask." she said with a soft laugh. "Oh yes, I'm sorry, silly me. My name is Sonia, I'm Celestine's aunt." she said lightly, "And I guess oyu already figured out that I'm Kanone's mother as well."

Celestine glanced up from his still nearly full bowl and sighed softly. "...Aunt Sonia, don't shove food down their throats just because they're here... I'm sure they'll mention it if they're hungry..." he said dully without looking over at her. He shifted slightly and the cloak that he'd hung over the back of the chair slipped to the ground. After Nanashi had taken it off, he gave it back to him when they stopped for lunch the day before, and he'd been wearing it ever since, but it was a little too warm for it in here.

Hikari glanced over to LaRae and smiled at her before looking up to Kanone when he told them about the food. She looked back to LaRae again and smiled. "You hungry?" she asked, apparently not really wanting to go in there on her own. She looked up when Kyran started forward, but she still waited for LaRae to answer as she stood up and looked back to her.

Nanashi didn't budge from the doorway, he just stood there stiffly, looking around the room. The place was very pretty and he half wanted to go inspect the flowers, but he also didn't want to move from where he was. He glanced over to Kanone when he started talking to Aamori about playing and half hoped she would. Maybe that would help him stop thinking about being in a stranger's living room.

Yotsy 06-25-2008 01:33 AM

Aamori watched Kanone walk over to her and she sighed lightly. "...Of course I know how to play." She said quietly. She watched for a moment when he started to pull the bench back for her and then shook her head faintly. Of course by now she was wondering why she had to go and open her mouth. She half glared at him and then stepped closer to the harp, then sat down on the bench. Rather then move the harp she merely took hold of the bench and slid herself along with it a bit closer so that she could reach the strings with ease. She flexed her fingers a bit and looked over at Kanone briefly. "...Just don't go laughing at me..." She paused. "I don't particularly enjoy playing for other people." She said quietly before taking a breath and lifting her hands to pluck at the strings. She didn't know too many songs but there was one inparticular that she'd all but mastered; The first song most girls started out with. It was only known well to her clan; It was a very mellow tune, though light and airy. She managed to play a few notes before stopping and then lifting her head for a moment. She sighed softly, actually a tad bit nervous because she'd only ever played at home. She bit her lip lightly and shut her eyes before continuing to play though until the last note of the song. Once she finished she merely continued to sit there with her eyes shut for a moment, her hands still rested loosely at the strings.

Kyran looked at Sonia and smiled slightly when she said hello and then started to talk a little. His eyes rather quickly trailed over to Celestine when he heard him speak, then he looked at at Sonia. The fact that she was being so pleasant made him relax a bit. "My name is Kyran." He said quietly. "There are five other than myself and Celestine, though one has gone out for awhile. I, myself am hungry." He paused. "Of the others, I'm not sure." He said lightly. "Oh, and it's a pleasure meet you." He said lastly while bowing his head slightly.

LaRae nodded a little. "Yes, a little." She said quietly. She started to stand to accompany Haikari but once she got to her feet she stopped because she heard the harp. She hadn't been paying attention really and now that she heard the music she looked over and saw that it was Aamori playing. She was a little surprised to say the least that Aamori could even play the thing, let alone well. She smiled faintly, it sounded wonderful. Once Aamori had finished she looked back over to Hikari, waiting for her to take the lead.

Cyndel 06-25-2008 02:08 AM

Kanone just smirked when she glared at him and waved her on. He smiled slightly when he heard her start to play and closed his eyes, though he opened them again when she stopped and looked at her curiously. He smiled again when he realized that she was nervous, so he didn't say anything and just let her go. He smiled, closing his eyes again as he listened and leaned his head back against the window. When she finished he opened his eyes again and looked at her for a moment before starting to clap. "I think my mother needs a new hobby." He said with a soft laugh.

Nanashi listened silently to her playing the song and relaxed a little as he listened. He even managed to find his way over beside LaRae again before the song was over, though once it ended just just smiled in her general direction.

Hikari smiled as she listened to Aamori play, now thankful that she hadn't tried to play herself. She also clapped slightly when Kanone started. "That was great, Aamori." She said softly. She glanced back over to LaRae and smiled slightly when she realized that she was waiting for her. "Alright, lets go eat." she said as she started forward. "...Come on, Nanashi." she said gently. She knew he was hungry, but she also knew that he wouldn't budge if he wasn't asked to.

Nanashi blinked when Hikari told him to come on and simply stood there for a moment before timidly starting forward again and following them down the hallway. He glanced around nervously as he walked and blinked when he saw the pictures in the hallway.

Sonia smiled and nodded to Kyran, "Well, it certainly is a pleasure to meet you, too, Kyran." she said brightly as she picked up a bowl. "And here is your lunch. I hope you like it. A lot of the plants in there grow mostly around here, so I am not sure how you will find the taste. If you don't like it I can try to find you something else." she told him brightly. She seemed more than happy to serve. "And if you do and want more, there is plenty I always end up making too much."

Yotsy 06-25-2008 02:46 AM

Aamori immediately dropped her hands to her lap when she heard Kanone clap and then Hikari also. She was alright until they clapped, after that she was extremely embarrassed and the color to her cheeks were proof enough. She just sat there quietly for a moment before getting up from the bench, nearly knocking it over in the process. "...I-It's nothing really." She said quietly. She thought she did alright, but no where near good enough to deserve applause.

Kyran smiled a bit more warmly now when he saw the bowl she had offered. He walked over and took it from her. "Thank you." He said lightly as he glanced down at the bowl. He'd never really had food from any of the other territories, but he was willing to try anything at least once. He then took the bowl and started to walk over to the table where Celestine was sitting. He set the bowl down and started to pull the chair out so he could sit down; He sat at the opposite end of the table on one of the sides.

LaRae thought that Aamori played wonderfully but figured that both Kanone and Hikari clapping was more then enough to let her know how well she played. When Hikari started towards the kitchen of course she followed. She wasn't looking at anything really the whole way there. Once they got into the kitchen she looked up and at Celestine's aunt and then averted her eyes rather quickly.

Cyndel 06-25-2008 03:16 AM

Kanone laughed softly when he saw how embarrassed Aamori was. "Oh, it was good." he said simply as he stood up and stretched. "Better than what I could do." He said simply. He smiled at Aamori again and then looked toward the window. "Well...you want to head out to that lake now?" he asked simply, "As soon as I get my pole. You can swim on the other side or something, heh run the things toward me."

Sonia smiled to Kyran again and nodded. "You're welcome." she said as she glanced toward the hallway. "Hello there." She said brightly when she saw the other three coming. "Would you like some as well?"

Hikari returned Sonia's smile and nodded, "Yes, if you please." she said as she stepped forward. "Oh yes, Before I forget again, My name is Hikari. This is LaRae and Nanashi." she told her, motioning to them each in turn while Sonia snagged two more bowls to fill. Once she held the one meant for her out, she took it with a smile and nod of thanks before walking over to the table to sit beside Kyran.

Sonia smiled again and nodded, "Nice to meet all of you." she said as she handed a bowl to Hikari and then held the other two out for LaRae and Nanashi, assuming that was why they'd come back as well. She noticed the way that LaRae kept averting her eyes and just smiled at her, "Don't be shy you two, I don't bite.." she told her and Nanashi after seeing the way that he kept fidgeting. She studied them both for a moment, a little surprised that there would be a dragon half in this group, let alone two.

Nanashi slowly brought his eyes up to Sonia's hands and nodded slightly in response to her. When she told them not to be shy he looked up a little more and smiled weakly before reaching out to take the bowl that she offered. "...Thank you." he said quietly. He glanced to LaRae and then slowly stared over to the table and sat down across from Kyran.

Yotsy 06-25-2008 03:39 AM

Aamori relaxed slightly and then moved back over to the harp for a moment to slide the bench back where it was before he'd pulled it out for her. She then stepped back where she had been. "I'm not used to having people listening when I play; It's more or less like a chore more then anything." She said quietly. "I'm also not used to the clapping or the compliments, considering it's normal for girls in Kairava to play. There are plenty better then me." She gave a small sigh and then looked over at him when he mentioned the lake. She smiled slightly. "Sure." She said simply then smirked lightly. "I'll try." She said replying to what he said about running the fish towards him. "...So how far is the lake?"

Kyran briefly looked up from the bowl to glance over at Celestine, though his attention quickly changed when he heard Hikari. He smiled softly when she came over and sat down next to him. "I was wondering how long it was going to take you to get in here." He commented lightly before eating a little of the soup. It was definitely something he'd never had before and the taste was unique, but not bad. He was used to soups and chowders with meats in them, like the one LaRae had made but he wasn't going to gripe.

LaRae was a little hesitant at first to even look up at Sonia, but the way she spoke and told them not to be shy relaxed her a bit. She sure as hell didn't sound as mean as Celestine had a few times. She was starting to think that it might have just been Celestine who had a problem with her and maybe not every wind dragon. Now that she thought about it, Kanone hadn't really even been mean to her. She'd just gotten so used to the way Celestine was that she outright assumed they all meant bad. She took a deep breath and finally lifted up her eyes to look at Sonia. She reached out to take the bowl and held it for a moment. "...Thank you, very much." She said quietly before turning to walk over to the table where Nanashi and the others had gone. She just stood for a moment when she saw the chairs that were left while muttering in her head 'of course.' She gave another sigh and continued over to the table, taking the end seat that put her across the table from Celestine. Of the two she'd rather be far away and having to look at him then being within reaching distance. She half thought even sitting next to him might make him get up. Once she was seated she lowered her eyes slightly and looked at the bowl of food she'd been given.

Cyndel 06-25-2008 04:09 AM

Kanone smiled at Aamori and laughed softly. "Well, in case you haven't noticed yet, you're sure a s hell not in Kairava anymore, babe." he said with a wink. "Anyway, the lake's about a fifteen minute walk or something like that. I'll be right back, I'm going to go grab my pole." he said as he started toward the far corner of the room a little past the table next to the hallway. There was a set of stairs half hidden there that led up to the next floor. He was only gone a minute or so when he came back down with the pole tossed over his shoulder. It was a really simple little thing, but it worked well enough. He half smiled, "Oh yeah, guess I'd batter tell mom were going, too." He said simply, "Otherwise she'll be out here looking for us for something." He shook his head and then started toward the hallway, "You can come if you want, r I'll be back in a second."

Nanashi sat there still rather rigidly and slowly started to eat the soup. It did taste pretty good, though it was a bit salty the white chunks of what Celestine had called 'tarka' gave it a rather sweet burst. He glanced over to Celestine for a moment and then dropped his eyes back to his bowl again. He almost jumped when LaRae sat down and then sighed. He really couldn't help being jumpy in places like this.

Hikari laughed softly at Kyran's comment. "Maybe I wasn't quite as hungry as you were." she teased him before taking a bite of her soup. She was a but surprised at the flavor, but it did still taste pretty good.

Sonia finally just got herself a bowl when it appeared no one else was coming and went to sit beside Celestine since that was the only open seat. She smiled at him and then went on about eating her soup quietly. It seemed that may be about the only time that she was quiet.

Celestine had been sitting there with his elbow propped on the table just staring at his soup blankly and poking at a piece of tarka, watching it bob up and down. He'd barely eaten anything and still wasn't all that hungry. As soon as he heard Sonia coming near the table he straightened up and stopped slouching, as well as took his elbows off of the table. He sighed softly and continued eating quietly, practically trying to force more of it down than what he'd eaten. He knew if he didn't she was just going to pester him because he was too skinny and needed to eat more. Of course that was true...he did half starve himself sometimes, especially during the winter, and it showed in the duller color of his scales as much as in how small he was. Standing beside Kanone or Sonia Celestine's scales even looked too pale, they were almost more pale gray than green where the color had faded where as Kanone's and Sonia's were both a very vibrant shade of pastel green.

Yotsy 06-25-2008 04:31 AM

Aamori smiled and shook her head lightly; Of course she knew she wasn't in Kairava but she couldn't help referring to home when she spoke of certain things. She'd noticed at least once before that he'd ended something he said to her with a wink; On both occasions she'd tried to suppress her smile. "I'm glad it isn't too far then." She said lightly. Though to her, that was still a distance; She was so used to walking out of her house and seeing water everywhere. She gave a soft nod when he said he'd be back and she watched him leave. Her eyes had trailed back towards the harp for a moment and before she knew it he was already back. She looked at the pole he'd gone to get, and then back at him. She'd never really seen a need for such things when fishing, but then again she had a whole other manor of fishing. She gave a slight nod when he said that she could come. She started to follow after him, though once he'd step into the kitchen she'd linger at the end of the hallway.

Kyran took ate a bit more of the soup before looking back at Hikari. "Well, it's better that you didn't follow right after me. I'm almost positive neither LaRae or Nanashi would've come in her on their own." He said with a soft laugh. He was glad though that the two of them had come too.

LaRae definitely appeared a bit more comfortable now. She lifted her eyes for a moment when Sonia had come to sit down too, quickly taking notice to Celestine's sudden posture change. Seeing him react like that actually made her smile slightly. She looked back down at the soup, having still not eaten any of it. She wasn't so sure about it, she'd made and eaten foods with plants from her own territory but she was skeptical of these. She continued to stare at it for a moment longer before finally eating some. She was pleasantly surprised with the taste. It wasn't quite what she was expecting and for it to be good too. She wasted very little time eating until the bowl was empty. Unfortunately when it came to her being hungry and good food, she couldn't resist practically inhaling the food. Once she realized she'd finished the bowl she sat quietly and set her hands in her lap.

Kanone poked his head into the kitchen. "Hey, Mom, I'm going to head down to the lake and let Aamori look around while I fish." He said simply before getting ready to head back again.

Sonia looked up for a moment and nodded. "Alright, but don't you want to eat first?"

"Mom I told you earlier, I ate before you even cooked anything." He said, shaking his head. "Get it together." he laughed slightly and then started out again.

Sonia blushed a little at having forgotten that already. "Oh yeah... Well, don't stay out there all day. We still have that thing to go to." she said simply.

"Yeah yeah, I know I know." he said as he turned around. "See ya." he said simply, snagging Aamori's wrist with his free hand as he started by her again. "Well, lets get going. A friend of the family is having a wedding today... it's an open invitation, whoever wants to show up can, so I suppose if you wall want to come it would be fine. It's basically just like a big party."

Hikari smiled slightly. "No, they probably wouldn't have." she agreed as she glanced to Nanashi. She shook her head and smiled before going back to her soup again.

Nanashi was still just sitting there eating rather slowly considering how hungry he was, but even still it didn't take him too long to finish. He just sat there quietly once he was done, blushing a little at the way Kyran and Hikari talked about him and LaRae. They knew them pretty well already.

Celestine just sat there silently for a while, finishing off as much of the soup as he could possibly stomach. He'd finished nearly the entire bowl, but he still had a good few bites left. He sat back in his chair and sighed, closing his eyes for a moment.

Sonia glanced over to LaRae and Nanashi and smiled, "If you're still hungry you may help yourselves." she told them and then looked over to Celestine, looking a little concerned. "Are you alright, Celestine? You look a little sick..."

"I'm just full..." he said dully.

"But you really didn't eat much I only gave you half a bowl to begin with."

Celestine sighed heavily again. "I know, I just can't eat that much at once. I'll eat something later...maybe." He said as he started to get up again. "...I'm just going to go lay down somewhere....alright?" he said tiredly. He was still completely worn out, and it was really starting to show. He could go without eating a lot as long as he got rest, but he hadn't been getting a lot of that at all lately, and it was starting to take it's toll on him; especially since his stomach was so small that he couldn't hold a lot of food at once.

Sonia tilted her head slightly, still looking a little worried. "...Alright..." she said quietly, "...Your room is still upstairs." she told him.

Celestine's ear twitched slightly and he looked at he a little surprised. "...Okay. " he said simply before turning around to walk off, snagging his cloak from the back of the chair and his swallow from where it leaned against the wall before starting back toward the living room and to the staircase.

Aamori had stopped just at the end of the hallway when Kanone was telling his mother where they were going. She'd avoided the kitchen mostly because she might have wanted to stay and eat if she got close enough to the food. She hadn't eaten much since the other day when everyone else stopped for lunch, so she was hungry but trying to hold out for the fish. She startled slightly when Kanone came back by her and took hold of her wrist. She of course followed after him, she would have regardless. She looked down at his hand that was holding her wrist for a moment with tinted cheeks and then looked at him when he mentioned a wedding. She gave a light sigh remembering what Nero had been talking about the other day. Now that she had remembered, this explained why Nero had gone off on his own. "...I'm not so sure how happy the couple would be seeing all of us there Kanone." She paused. "Besides, I doubt Nero would go anywhere near a celebration like that today..." She commented with a heavy sigh. "Because of this trip, he's missing his own wedding.... today."

Kyran looked back to Hikari and smiled a little before looking back to LaRae and Nanashi. He wouldn't have been surprised to go check on Nobu in an hour or so and see those two sitting on the porch; having never stepped inside. So all around he was rather surprised with them. He turned back to his soup until he finished it off and then sat back a little in the chair. He just smiled a little, a bit full already.

LaRae continued to just sit quietly even when Sonia had told both her and Nanashi that it was alright to help themselves to more. She wasn't really sure she wanted to eat anymore. She still had room for some, but thought better of getting another helping. She gave a soft, nearly nonexistent sigh and then looked up when Celestine got up from the table and said he was going to lay down. She thought a nap would probably do him some good, since he was extra grumpy today. Not to mention him being out of the room and asleep somewhere might keep Sonia off of him long enough to ask a few questions without getting the death glare or worse from Celestine. Of course though, she'd wait until she was sure that he couldn't hear her before she asked Sonia anything at all.

Kanone nodded slightly, "Ah...I see... That's too bad." he said softly. He could be rather sympathetic when it came down to it. "Well, he can stay at the house if he wants. Hell, all of you can if you want but they're going to expect us to be there. " He sighed softly, obviously not exactly thrilled about going. "Well, at any rate... I'm sure if you wanted to come they wouldn't mind so long as you guys don't cause any trouble, and I know you wont." He continued out onto the porch and then headed down and started walking back up the path. "I guess you noticed that the place is pretty empty, everyone's uptown getting ready." he explained simply. Once he got to the bridge he veered off and started walking along the bank of the river along a well beaten path toward the lake.

Hikari finished off her soup fairly quickly and then sat back with her hands in her lap similarly to the way that LaRae was sitting. "So what 'thing' is it you are going to?" she asked lightly, "If you don't mind my asking."

Sonia looked back over to Hikari and smiled slightly. "Oh, no dear, it's alright. A friend of ours is having a wedding today and she asked us specifically to be there, of course they also said that whoever would like to come is welcome." she said with a smile. "I am sure that if you all wanted to come they wouldn't mind a bit, especially since you're with us for now."

Hikari blinked. "Oh my, well that sounds exciting." she would really like to go just to see how the customs here worked with marriage; she supposed they were all different.

Nanashi smiled slightly, but didn't bother to day anything at first. That did sound fun, but he really didn't want to go throwing himself to the lions. "I think I'd rather stay here..." He said quietly.

Celestine sighed as he reached the top of the stairs and walked down to the end room. He looked around and blinked, surprised that everything was pretty much just the way that he'd left it. His bed was made in the same white sheets with the jade green comforter that matched the curtains. The furniture hadn't really been messed with, but the room was still clean as if someone had kept it ready for him. He sighed softly as he looked around. The floor was carpeted in white and the walls were whitewashed as well, but there were several small pale green globes set up all over the room that would give off a dim light when lit. The only furniture in the room aside from the bed was a night stand on either side and a dresser across the room, all painted white as well. The window opened out to and area where you could climb onto the roof if you wanted, and he often did when he was younger. After a quick glance around his eyes came to a stop on a picture that sat on the dresser in front of the mirror. It was a small picture in a little golden frame of himself when he was about four or five with his mother to his left and his father right behind him. If one had looked at the pictures downstairs they would easily recognize his father as the man in the last picture on that wall. He had shoulder length pale jade hair, much like Celestine's only a little darker an with more green-ish high lights to it. His eyes were deep Emerald green with golden slit pupils like Celestine's and he looked as if he could be either extreme of gentle or firm. His mother was very stunning with long silvery hair and big green eyes. Her horn was just like Celestine's as were her wings, though as was just barely showed in the picture her tail was tipped with feathers like her wings. She was small and almost grail looking, but it was obvious that she was very kind hearted even from the look in her eyes. Celestine sighed as he looked at himself in the picture, with both arms wrapped around her face and a big smile that no one ever saw him with nowadays plastered permanently on his face. The picture blurred in front of him suddenly as his eyes watered and he just slapped it face down on the dresser and blinked herd before turning away. He was not going to cry. He threw his cloak over the bedpost and stood his swallow against the wall before crawling into the bed and curling up on the mattress. It wasn't long before he was asleep again.

Aamori glanced back down at her wrist briefly since he still hadn't let go of it. "You don't sound all that interested in going." She commented. "And how do you none of us are going to cause trouble?" She was sure no one would but couldn't help noticing how trusting he was being and he hadn't really known any of them for very long. "I did notice the lack of people around, but I didn't really question it." She said lightly. When they got near the river her attention rather quickly shifted. She couldn't help staring down at the river that they were walking along.

Kyran glanced over at Hikari when she asked Sonia her question. He then looked at Sonia when she answered. He nodded slightly when Hikari said that it sounded exciting. He'd never seen weddings in any of the other territories so of course he was interested. He shifted his glance over to Nanashi when he heard him speak. "I doubt you'll be alone." He said quietly. "Nero will probably be staying here too if my hunch is correct... Well, that is if he even comes back soon." It had started to make sense as to why Nero had gone off when they got here. Usually Nero just kind of stood in a corner or something, he never usually went away from the others like this. He gave a soft sigh and gently crossed his arms over his chest.

LaRae listened quietly while staring down at her hands while she fidgeted with her hands in her lap. She was debating with herself on whether or not to ask Sonia. After sitting there for a few moments longer tossing the idea around in her head she finally bit her lip lightly and decided to just ask. "...I-I've got a question." She said quietly before lifting her eyes up to look over at Sonia. "I'm not sure you'll be able to answer it, but I know Celestine won't." She continued. "...I-I'd like to know..." She paused, obviously still a bit hesitant in asking. "...What does he have against me... and my clan?" She asked quietly and then shifted her eyes back down to her still fidgeting hands.

Cyndel 06-26-2008 12:05 AM

Kanone smiled slightly. "Well, you don't seem the troublesome type, that half bre--dragon half is too timid, Kyran and Hikari seem nice enough, and well...the only one I'd worry about is LaRae..she seems to fly of the rocker pretty easy." he said simply, "Honestly, I'd expect more trouble from Celestine than most of you." he said lightly, "And if Nero isn't going, then I guess he can't cause trouble huh?" He chuckled softly, "And yeah, I guess it shoes. I'm not much for this sort of thing. They just want me there for entertainment, I think. I was asked to bring my fiddle." he said with a smirk. "Oh fun and joy." He continued walking, noticing the way that the water grabbed her attention. "We're getting there." He said lightly.

Nanashi's ears twitched when Kyran said that Nero would probably be staying behind as well. He sighed and dropped his gaze. That was definitely one way to get him to go. He was too afraid to stay anywhere with Nero by himself.

Hikari blinked and then looked over to Kyran. "Why? Is he not much on weddings?" she asked with a half smile. She knew whatever it was, Nero would never tell her personally, so she just had to play guessing games when it came to him.

Sonia looked over to LaRae pleasantly when she stated that she had a question. "Yes, dear?" she said simply, though her smile faded and she looked rather uncomfortable once the question was asked. "Oh...my...that's...well that's hardly a dinner topic." she said and then sighed and gave her a weak smile. "...Don't take it personally, dear, it's nothing that you have done." she told her. "...When Celestine was eight years old, Kanone was ten, they went out to the old field behind the town to play. Celeste, Celestine's mother went with them... Well...while they were there they were ambushed by several earth clan dragons...I'm not even sure how many...but twenty at the very least. Celeste told the boys to run back to town, but she...didn't make it back. The entire village was attacked that day, and the whole place was practically leveled... This village used to be nearly twice the size that it is now. At any rate... Celestine, and several others, including myself were able to escape... but Celestine was knocked unconscious while trying to save another girl from the village, and...well...he woke up alone int he middle of a blood bath... The fighting had stopped but everyone had assumed that he'd been killed as well and left him. Kanone found him a day later, but he wasn't the same...he could barely even remember his own name at first, but then as he started to remember things... well..." she shook her head. "He lost both of his parents...they were really close, too... He didn't know what to do without them. It took him nearly a year to even get to where he would speak to anyone again, I even had to practically force him to eat, and all he did was just lay in his room and stare at their picture...but he never cried...not once..." she sighed, her ears drooping as she looked down at the table. "...He's never been the same since then... He and I used to be close as well, but... well he's just so distant now. It's like he's afraid to get near anyone... He refused to go out an play with anyone after that, like he was afraid it was going to happen again if he tried to have fun, and he got so angry whenever we tried to do anything fun... He's convinced that we were attacked because we were too...frivolous. He says that no one here is ever really ready for a fight and that's why..." she sighed, "...And then one night he just...disappeared. I woke up and he was gone, along with his father's weapon and his mother's necklace. This is the first that I've seen him since then..." she blinked and looked up. "Oh my I'm sorry I didn't meant to go on about all of that, I just..." she sighed. He was definitely going ot be angry when he got up.

Yotsy 06-26-2008 12:49 AM

Aamori glanced back to Kanone when he started talking about the others, only opening her mouth to comment on two of them. "LaRae is actually really nice, I've known her for a few years. She's just got some issues with her home life and half of time she relates a lot of comments back to that. Which is why she gets so upset sometimes. Then, I also have to blame Celestine. He hasn't exactly been pleasant when it comes to her." She paused. "And Nero, he doesn't really instigate anything. He's more the type to finish a fight rather then start it. At least thats how it looks to me." Once she finished she turned her eyes back down to the river watching for a moment. "...So you can play an instrument." She said with a slight pause. "Are you telling me there might be brains behind the good looks? I mean, you'd have to have one in order to be any good at an instrument." She chuckled lightly.

Kyran glanced over at Hikari and shook his head slightly. "No, it isn't that." He said quietly. "He told Aamori and myself while you guys followed Celestine the other day, that he was supposed to be getting married today. The girl he was supposed to marry doesn't like this one bit, the whole trip we're on." He said with a soft sigh. "So I highly doubt he wants to put himself out there on someone else's wedding day... When he should be at his."

LaRae didn't bring her eyes up from her hands while Sonia was answering her question. After Sonia had finished she just sat there quietly staring at her hands which had finally stopped fidgeting. That was definitely a lot to take in all at once. She half felt bad for Celestine, just for his loss and the fact that he'd taken everything so badly. Other then that she couldn't feel sorry for anything. Raids on towns were normal, everywhere. It wasn't like the earth clan only went after the wind clan, or only this village specifically. It was something terrible that happened, and by the looks of it the village and the people in it just picked themselves back up and rebuilt. Which is what usually happens. She gave a soft sigh and lifted her eyes a little. "...Thank you for telling me." She said quietly. "Things like that don't get talked about in clan, so I never knew it happened... Let alone I was to young to have even understood." She commented before looking back at Sonia. "If he finds out you told me, just tell him I made you tell me. I'd rather him be angry at me then anyone else." She said quietly before standing up and taking the bowl she used tightly in her hand. She started to walk back over towards the sink and paused. "...I can't apologize for my clan's actions or anything, but I am sorry for your loss. I know how hard it can be to get over something like that." She said quietly trying to be as mellow and relaxed as possible. She continued and set the bowl down next to the sink before turning and passing through the hallway, only stopping now when she noticed the pictures on the wall. She just stared at them all for a little bit before sighing heavily and continuing into the living room.

Cyndel 06-26-2008 01:37 AM

Kanone smiled slightly when she explained LaRae and Nero. "Ah, I see..." He said softly. He laughed when she asked if he had brains. "Well I should hope there is something up there, my head feels pretty heavy to be empty." he said with a smirk. "I never said I was good. Honestly, I think I suck, but everyone else seems to like it well enough." he said simply. "I guess if you come you'll get to hear me." he said lightly. "Suppose it's only fair since I made you play for me."

Hikari's ears laid back slightly when she heard Kyran's answer. "Oh...I see..." she said softly. "...Poor Nero, that's so sad..." she said softly. "I wish he's said something earlier, maybe we could have tried to get him back in time for that at least... I wouldn't have minded hiding in a corner somewhere out of sight." she knew for a fact that he sue as hell wouldn't want her at his wedding, "But then again...I guess he wouldn't have had time to enjoy it that way." She glanced away, looking over to Sonia when she heard her answering LaRae's question. It was hard not to hear her since they were all sitting there and she was having to talk loud enough for LaRae to hear her at the other end of the table. Her ears laid back even more then. It seemed like just about everyone in this group had some kind of sad story to go along with them.

Nanashi's ears laid back as well as he listened to the two conversations. Neither of them was pleasant, and he really did feel sorry for Celestine. Had he been older when his mother was killed he could imagine that he would have been the same way. He just turned his eyes down to the table and then looked up to LaRae when she stood up. After a moment he stood as well to take his bowl to the sink.

Sonai shook her head. "Oh, dear, I don't expect an apology from you. You were still a child, you have nothing to apologize for." she said softly. "I know he can be difficult...but please be patient with him. I'm sure he will come around eventually. You're a sweet girl, he's bound to see that eventually." she told her before she left. She sighed and finally picked up her own bowl of half eaten soup and Celestine's to take to the sink. She just emptied them both out and started to wash the dishes. She wasn't too hungry anymore after that.

Yotsy 06-26-2008 02:14 AM

Aamori smirked and looked back at Kanone. "That could be the rocks you're feeling, they tend to add weight to anyone's head." She shook her head lightly after what he said about it being only fair. "No. That wouldn't be fair." She paused. "You were already asked to play for others, whereas I was randomly asked by you. So it's completely different." She chuckled lightly. "Don't worry though, I will think of something to get back at you with... eventually. Though, if I do go then it'd be a bonus to hear you play."

Kyran had just barely been listening to what Sonia had told LaRae while he was talking to Hikari. That was rather difficult to do, considering there wasn't very many breaks between his own speech to listen in on the other conversation. But he was sure that he'd picked up on the details of it. He watched when LaRae and then Nanashi got up from the table. He gave a soft sigh and was about to go back to talking to Hikari when he saw Sonia get up too. He couldn't help thinking at that point that a dark cloud seemed to practically follow them everywhere. At least once he'd like to go a whole day without any problems, and no depressing speeches, nothing. He'd like one full day of everyone getting along, and that didn't mean a day of everyone sleeping. He gave another sigh and looked at Hikari before continuing. "I believe Nero understood ahead of time that this could happen if he went on the trip with us. I think he'd set himself to be okay with it, but the girl he's supposed to marry; Kana. She's apparently extremely upset with the whole thing in general and didn't even want him to go to the festival." He paused. "I doubt he would've wanted to try and make it back in time just to have to turn right back around and head out. I also get the impression that this girl, doesn't approve of his job. So he's a bit torn between the two. She probably wouldn't have let him leave if he showed up on time... At least thats the way he made it sound when he told us." He shrugged lightly. "He'll get things worked out once this whole trip is done and over with, I'm sure."

LaRae continued to stand in the living room for a moment not quite sure what to do with herself. She just felt so weird after that being in this house. She finally just wandered back over to the couch and sat down where she had previously. She rested her elbows to her knees and then gently set her head in her hands, letting her hair cascade down around her face. Knowing what happened only made her feel bad, even though she tell herself a dozen times that stuff like that happens all over Arienh it just didn't make it any better. It didn't take her too long to piece together that all the graves out on that open patch of land were probably all laid the same time, after her clan attacked. There were so many of them, and two of them were Celestine's parents. She sighed heavily and thought back a little to what Sonia had said. Unfortunately she did have one more question but at this point she couldn't bring herself to ask it. She was a little afraid to ask if Sonia or anyone else could remember any markings on any of the dragons from her clan. She wanted to know, but she felt like she'd asked enough.

Cyndel 06-26-2008 02:45 AM

Kanone laughed slightly and shook his head. "Well there you go...a bit on incentive." he said lightly. He continued to pull her along, half forgetting that he had her wrist to begin with. Soon the sound of water became even louder, and as he led her around a small bend, and the lake came into view. The lake was fairly large, which wasn't surprising considering that there were two sources of water leading into it. First of all, the river ran into it, but on the other side a large water fall spilled over a tall rock wall. The water split in three places as jutting rocks interrupted the flow of the falling water. The there were several beautiful flowers glowing near the bank of the lake, all of them were purple flowers with five pointed petals and what appeared to be very fuzzy stems. Unfortunately anyone who mistook that for nothing but fuzz would be in a world or hurt if they tried to pick the flower because all of those little furry looking things were tiny thorns that burned like fire if they got stuck. "Well...here we are." He said brightly as he motioned around. There were several boulders around that one could sit on, as well as some trees with their branches sitting out right over the water.

Hikari sighed softly, "Yes...I really hope so." she said softly, "I can only imagine how she must be feeling. If I were in her shoes, I think I would be a bit upset as well..." she said softly, "...But then again I think I could also understand what I was getting myself into if I was with someone with that kind of career." She shook her head slightly. "...Oh well... I hope things would out...for everyone when this is over."

Nanashi finally started back toward the living room as well and walked straight over to LaRae, sitting down beside her. He looked over to her and placed his arm around her for a moment. "...LaRae...are you okay?" he asked softly.

Yotsy 06-26-2008 03:34 AM

Aamori's eyes rather easily ended up right back at the river while she was still being pulled along. Her ears nearly stood on end when the sound of water got louder and then she smiled uncontrollably when she saw the lake. It was definitely more then what she was expecting. Her eyes quickly trailed over the area though she really only focused on the waterfall and the boulders. Everything else didn't really matter to her, at least not at the moment. "...This is so much better then what I was picturing!" She said rather happily. Her tail immediately started swaying back and forth when she heard him say 'here we are'. Those were like the magic words saying it was okay to run around and get into everything. She finally pulled her hand away from him gently, since he still hadn't let go of her wrist yet and took a few steps forward, not quite sure where she wanted start. She really thought that waterfall looked like fun though the climb up made her at least think twice about it. She finally knelt down for a moment and started to untie her sandals, quickly pulling them off and setting them beside her. Then she stood back up and lifted the side of her skort for a moment while she started to unbuckle her holster and staff from her thigh. She then pulled that from her leg and set it down on top of her sandals. She was about to head closer to the edge and just jump into the water but stopped and started to slip her skort off. She hadn't really even thought about it at this point but Kanone could still see her. She of course didn't want to get everything she had to wear wet, especially if she decided to go to that wedding. Her top at least was made from a material in Kairava that would dry a lot faster then the skort would so she wasn't worried about anything other then that. She striped her bottom half down to nothing more then her blue panties and then set the skort down on top of her holster before walking over to the edge of the lake and jumping right in. Once she was in the water she swam around a little and turned back to look at Kanone for a moment before lowering her head a little to start blowing bubbles.

Kyran set his head back and stared up at the ceiling. "I'm sure everything will work out in the end..." He said lightly. He wasn't really sure what was going to happen to any of them after this whole thing was over. Though he was pretty sure that things were going to get extremely boring.

LaRae didn't move right away when Nanashi came and sat next to her, though she did lift her head a little when he put his arm around her. She gave a soft sigh accompanied by a gentle nod. "...Yeah... I'm as fine as I can be." She said quietly. "...Though you heard the same thing I did, so I'm sure you can guess how I'm feeling." She paused. "...Well at least I got that question answered." She commented. "I had another, but after spoiling lunch I can't bring myself to ask." She muttered quietly.

Cyndel 06-26-2008 04:28 AM

Kanone blinked when she pulled her hand away from him and laughed softly. "Oops." he said with a quiet laugh. He watched her remove her sandals and holster and then started to get his pole ready to fish. He glanced back to her, right about the time that she dropped her skort. "U-um!" he looked away again quickly, his cheeks turning slightly red. Sure he was used to being around girls and all, but he'd never had one so willingly drop her clothes in front of him. He just started to dig in the dirt a bit until he found a nice juicy worm to stick on the end of the hook. He stood up and walked over to a tree, hopping up into the lower branch before tossing his line into the water. "Be careful and try not to get hooked." he said with a soft laugh when he saw her out in the water blowing bubbles at him. He was still blushing slightly from the surprise of looking back to see her in her underwear.

Hikari nodded slightly and then sighed softly. She leaned her head against Kyran's shoulder for a moment and then closed her eyes for a moment. "So...are we going to go?" she asked softly, looking up at him. "...I would really like to see how it is done here."

Nanashi sighed softly and nodded. "Yeah...I can." He said softly, hugging her a little closer. "...I feel sorry for him..." he said quietly. He leaned his head over against hers for a moment. "...What was the other question?" he asked softly. He nuzzled against her slightly. "...And you probably wouldn't have found a much better time to ask..." he said softly, "There was no really good time..."
