Kyran shook his head lightly when the first punch was actually thrown; He'd half hoped this would just be a lot of trash talking then the guys would leave. But he knew better. He had to set his hand down on top of Nobu's head, applying a little pressure just to keep Nobu from running over there. He could tell Nobu was getting antsy because he'd started to paw at the ground. "Calm down Nobu." He said quietly. He couldn't resist laughing a little when he saw Kyiri take off across the bridge and latch onto one of the guys pants legs. Nobu only got more antsy when Kyiri was able to rush over and he wasn't. Kyran looked over at Hikari for a moment with a smirk on his face. He was sure that Celestine could handle this fine, after all he'd managed to avoid being hit so far but Nobu wanted to go over there too. He finally gave in and lifted his hand from Nobu letting him go.
The very instant that Kyran had let go of him he thrust his paws against the ground and ran right over. Though he resisted the urge to want to bite any of them and instead he crouched down slightly with his tails sticking straight up behind him and began growling ferociously while leaving his large fangs exposed. It was strange just how easily Nobu could go from the cute little friendly creature to almost savage and blood thirsty. |
Hiakri couldn't help but snicker when Kyiri latched onto the boy's butt. That was too funny, especially when the other boy started trying to pull her off and she wouldn't come. "This is kind of funny." she said, shaking her head, though she blinked when Nobu ran out there. "Hmm...hope he doesn't bite anyone."
Celestine was just dodging the ring leader's flailing fists without even laying a hand on him again until he backed him up against the rail. He then ducked and jumped up onto the rail before flipped over the boy's head when he went to try to shove him off. While he was half laid over the rail, Celestine grabbed his feet and flipped him the rest of the way over into the shallow water. He then turned around to see Nobu come running up, and then looked past him, finally noticing the others. He just sighed and put one hand on his hp, looking a little annoyed that he had witnesses to this pathetic event. The other boy finally got Kyiri pulled off of his friend's butt but when she started flailing and trying to attack him, he just threw her over the rail of the bridge just before the big purple thing ran out. His eyes widened and both of the boys backed up, actually hiding behind Celestine. Celestine glanced back to them and side stepped, exposing them to Nobu again. "Don't hide behind me, I'm not going to save you." "Wh-what the hell is that!?" "Who knows...careful, I think he bites..." He said in a rather monotone voice. Kyiri flailed int he air before she hit the water, but thankfully, she didn't have to stay there long. She latched onto the boy that Celestine had flipped over the rail and climbed onto his shoulder before hissing in his face and diving over to the shore, shaking out her wet fur and trying to shake the water from her hind legs after each step. |
Kyran shook his head slightly seeing Nobu the way he was. It'd been some time since he'd seen Nobu get angry like that; The last time he remembered seeing him like that was when he first came across him and the blades. "Yes well... If he does bite someone that isn't going to be pleasant..." He said as he crossed his arms loosely over his chest. "...His fangs don't exactly come out easily..." He paused. "Nobu's jaws are like steel traps." He commented lastly before looking back at Nobu; Obviously having second thoughts about letting Nobu go.
Nobu continued growling even when the boys hid behind Celestine momentarily. Once Celestine had stepped out of the way he started to inch closer and closer to the boys with every intention of sinking his fangs into at least one of them. Though he jerked his head back when he heard Kyran finally tell him to stop. |
Celestine was a little surprised at the way that Nobu was acting toward these guys, but really if he bit the hell out of one of them it was no skin off of his teeth. When Nobu started Inching forward he watched as the boys started backing up. "Why don't you try joining your buddy in the river, I doubt he'll want to waste his time getting wet." he said sarcastically. He blinked when both of them actually went and jumped over the rail and down into the water and actually started laughing. He shook his head and finally started walking back toward the others, patting Nobu on the head as he passed, "Don't actually bite anyone." he said simply as he continued walking.
The boys were extremely frustrated when they heard Celestine laughing and finally came back out of the water, glaring at Celestine as he came off the bridge. "You crazy freak!" one of them yelled at him as they continued to back further away from the purple animal. "...I would rather be considered a freak by you then be anything like you." He said simply, "Not get lost before he decides to stop listening to us." He looked down at Kyiri when the boys finally took off and shook his head before picking the poor dripping animal up and stroking her. Hikari shook her head slightly, trying her best not to laugh at the site of the boys diving over the side of the bridge. She shook her head as she watched all of them and then looked back to Celestine again. "...Are you alright?" "Yeah." he responded simply. "...I guess I should thank you...but really...you didn't need to follow me." he said without looking up from Kyiri. |
Kyran gave a soft laugh himself seeing the guys actually dove over the railing and into the water. It really looked like he didn't need to call Nobu off, but he'd rather be safe then sorry. He let his arms back down to his sides when the guys had left and looked over at Celestine shrugging lightly. "You don't have to thank anyone, it's what friends do." He commented quietly. Of course thinking back briefly to Celestine nodding to Mariah about them being friends.
Nobu just stood there once he'd been told to stop and watched the two dive over the railing. He then looked up to Celestine when he finally got patted on the head. He didn't bother saying anything to him, at least not while in front of the others. He continued to stand there for a moment before shaking himself a little and turning back to stand near Kyran. By now he'd hidden his fangs again and gone back to being himself with his tails wagging slightly behind him. |
Celestine's ear twitched slightly when he heard what Kyran said and he slowly raised his head just enough to glance over to him. He just looked at him for a few moments before a faint smile came to his face and he looked back down to Kyiri. "...I need to get her a towel." he said quietly as he started walking back toward the house again. He'd only nodded earlier to Mariah's question because he couldn't think of any other way to say that he knew them. He honestly didn't expect any of them to consider him a friend.
Hikari smiled at Celestine and shook her head as she watched him walk away before looking back up to Kyran again. "Well...?" she asked him, tilting her head slightly. "What do you want to do?" she asked softly. Celestine paused a little way ahead. "...By the way, Hikari...if you really wanted to learn to dance... All you'd have to do is ask." he said simply without looking back to her. He just continued forward again before she could really give him an answer, obviously meaning later. He wanted to get Kyiri dried off first. Hikari blinked and looked back to Celestine again for a moment and then smiled before looking back to Kyran again. "...Yet another hidden talent..." she said with a slight smile. |
Kyran nodded lightly when Celestine said he needed to get Kyiri a towel. He glanced down at Nobu for a moment before pushing gently on the back of his head; Motioning for him to walk. He then looked back to Hikari and smiled slightly. "If you'd like we can go back to that party now." He paused. "After all we weren't out here for too long." He then started to follow after Celestine. Though he laughed quietly hearing Hikari's comment. "I'm pretty sure there are going to be more surprising hidden talents." He commented.
Nobu continued to stay next to Kyran until he felt his hand press against the back of his head. He looked up at Kyran for a second before he started walking, rather quickly catching up to Celestine and walking beside him. |
Hikari laughed softly. "Well, it's up to you. We can go back if you want... Or we can find somewhere a little quieter and a lot less crowded." she said with a soft laugh. She leaned a little closer to him and watched Nobu go after Celestine. She smiled again and then took Kyran's hand again, "Pick a direction, lets go!" she said with a smile. She wouldn't mind going back to the party, but she didn't really care if she did. The only reason that she would even want to was so she could dance with Kyran again.
Celestine looked back down when Nobu came up beside him and smiled slightly, lowering one hand to rub the top of his head. "...You can come inside if you want. You didn't have to stay outside all day." he told him as he stepped up onto the porch and opened the door, standing aside to let him go inside. |
Kyran glanced down at Hikari with a smile when she took his hand. He came to a stop and looked down the path towards the party and then back at Hikari after she mentioned somewhere with less people and a bit quieter. He thought for a moment before opening his mouth. "Since we've got the free time right now, why don't we go have a look at those flowers that LaRae planted." He said lightly before turning around and walking back the other way while still holding onto her hand.
Nobu looked up at Celestine for a moment. 'I only stayed outside because I wasn't previously invited in; And Kyran asked me to stay outside.' He commented before walking past Celestine and inside the house. He stepped off to the side once he was inside and just stood there for a moment glancing around. 'So what was with those boys on the bridge? Are you alright?' He questioned, seeing as it was probably safer to speak to him now. |
Hikari nodded to him and laughed softly. "Alright, then. Let's do that." she said as she followed him on down the road toward where they had entered the town. "Well...that was a short attendance, but it was still pretty fun." she said lightly. "I have a feeling that Sonia and Kanone are going to be out for a while. That party didn't look like it was too close to being over." she commented, "We may beat then back to the house yet."
Celestine looked down to Nobu and then looked over to LaRae and Nanashi, seeing that they were both asleep on the sofa. He shook his head and started toward the stairs. "...I don't know. I guess they were pissed off because I was dancing with their dream girl." he said with a hint if bitterness. "...This girl I used to know...back when we were kids... I guess I kind of liked her." he shook his head again, "...She grew up to be really pretty...and a really good dancer... but I don't know her anymore. She's changed a lot... She's not as nice as I remember. Anyway...I guess they were mad because she kind of....kissed me." he said the last words quickly, his face turning red again. He walked to the end of the hallway and into the bathroom, going to get a clean towel to wrap Kyiri in. |
Kyran continued back over the bridge, taking his time making it back to the cemetery. He gave her hand a light squeeze and then looked back down at her for a moment. "I enjoyed myself, for the time we were there." He paused. "...Though I think it'll be nice to spend some time with you outside of this trip and away from the others." He said lightly before looking away. He wasn't all too concerned with when they got back to the house, be it before or after Kanone and Sonia. It was really nice to just get away from everyone else and not have to worry about the stresses of this mission. He continued walking until they finally came upon the cemetery and he came to a halt with his eyes widened slightly. He was a bit shocked by the sheer number of flowers, but even more so when he saw that quite a few of the flowers were starting glow a pale white light. Flowers that bloom at night? He didn't think that such flowers really existed and yet he was seeing them. His eyes couldn't be playing tricks on him could they? No, those definitely looked real. He wondered if anyone else had seen them like this yet, and then wondered if LaRae meant to make them do that. He was all around speechless and just held Hikari's hand a little tighter as he looked down at her.
Nobu stood in the living room for a moment until Celestine started for the stairs and then followed after him. Once he was at the top of the stairs he only followed him about half way down the hallway before stopping and waiting. 'That sounds like a really silly reason to get angry and get into a physical altercation.' He stated lightly. 'Then again I can only say that I think it's silly when it comes to you dragons. Animals get into squabbles like that all the time over possible mates. Especially my kind.' |
Hikari smiled and blushed slightly at his comment. She just glanced down when he squeezed her hand and curled her fingers a little more tightly around his in return. "Yes...that does sound like fun." she said with a smile. When they reached the cemetery again she looked up and gasped quietly, staring out over the vast field of flowers. "Wow..." she breathed quietly. She started at the flowers for a long time, eying the large white flowers that were giving off the glow. Her eyes were shining as she stepped forward slowly, though she let Kyran keep her hand. "I've never see so many flowers in one place before..." She said quietly, "And these..." she looked down to the nearest of the glowing flowers and knelt down, cupping it in her hand. "...They...look almost like the Lunar flowers in my territory...or...at least they give off the same glow..." she said quietly. It seemed like she was going to be pouncing on LaRae later to ask her about these flowers. She was completely fascinated.
Celestine came back out of the bathroom again and looked at Nobu as he rubbed the towel over Kyiri's fur. "...Well...dragons are animals to..." he said simply, "...Any living thing that isn't a plant is some kind of animal, and all animals have the same basic instincts no matter how sophisticated they seem..." he said simply. He nodded toward the door on the right and started toward it. "Come on...this is my room." he told him, "I don't care if you get on the bed." He went over to sit on the edge of the bed himself and sighed, "So there are more like you... how many?" He asked, looking down at him. "...We saw one...while you were gone. It was a female... she had four tales, and she was painted purple to try to pass for you... I'm fairly certain that she was an earth elemental because her fur turned to dirt in my hand." |
Kyran let his eyes wander back out over the field of flowers and he was quiet for quite a while longer. He'd never seen this many flower either, at least in one place before. Then with the night blooming flowers he couldn't even begin to imagine just how much energy this had to have taken from the girl. He released Hikari's hand when she went to kneel down. He glanced down focusing on the glowing flowers below. "...There are flowers similar to these in Glenys?" He paused. "Now I feel even more silly for thinking even for a second that my eyes were playing tricks on me." He shook his head lightly with a small laugh. "This place... it definitely isn't as gloomy as it was." He said quietly while still admiring the view.
Nobu watched when Celestine came back out of the bathroom. He tilted his head to the side slightly. 'I suppose so.' He paused. 'But most dragons I've met are usually in the form like you're in now... Animals like me, who can't change form don't really consider you dragons to be the same as us. I guess would be the easiest way to put it. And if you really wanted to go calling yourselves animals I guess that would make you the same as humans, since they're not plants...' He started to follow after Celestine when he told him to come; Though he didn't go rushing onto the bed like he would've back home. Rather he walked over to the bed and sat down on the floor next to it. 'Of course there are more like me... I think I'd have been created genderless if I was the only one.' He commented. 'As of today, this year there are only seven.' He paused and tilted his head again when Celestine mentioned them seeing another. 'Ah.. Yes.. Her..' He went quiet for a moment. 'Her name is Gesa, of earth. I too ran into her briefly on my way back. She doesn't have a very nice master...' He shook his head slightly. 'We start out as relatively moldable slates when we're given our blades to look after... Hence, I will start to take after Kyran and Gesa shall take after her master. Gesa herself at the moment isn't bad... but that master of hers is only going to taint her personality. I hate to see any of us stuck with such masters...' He was quiet for a few minutes before looking back up at Celestine. 'Sorry, that was a little more information then you asked for.' |
Hikari nodded to him and smiled slightly, "Yes, the ones in Glenys are called Lunar Flowers... They're considered sacred there... These give off the same glow, but they aren't the same shape..." she said softly before standing up again, "The lunar flowers are a little...more similar to small lilies I suppose." she said as she looked back to him again. She laughed softly at his comment about how it wasn't as gloomy. "No...it certainly isn't." she said with a smile. She leaned her head over against his arm again and sighed softly, "It's pretty..." she said quietly. She could almost stand here all night looking at this.
Celestine just sat there with a purring Kyiri in his lap as he tried to dry her fur. He looked down to Nobu and sighed softly as he listened to him. "I see..." he said softly, "...No it's alright. I don't mind." he looked back down to Kyiri as he tried to dry her. "...Gesa, huh? She already didn't seem too friendly to me..." he said quietly. "...I just hope her master stays away from here... I don't like having an Earth dragon here that I can't keep track of..." he muttered quietly. He sighed and shook his head slightly before looking back to Nobu again. He smiled slightly at him, trying to pull his thoughts in another direction. "...Well, at least we know you will turn out alright." he said softly before moving his hand over to pat the edge of the bed. "Come on up...unless you're more comfortable down there." |
Kyran glanced to Hikari when she spoke of the lunar flowers from Glenys and gave a slight nod. "Well, regardless of which flower they are.. they're still quite beautiful and I've never seen anything like them myself." He said lightly. He stood quietly for a moment once she'd rested her head against his arm and then gave a soft smile before lifting up his arm to wrap it around her shoulders lightly while pulling her a littler closer. He looked down to her again briefly before looking away; Given the light it'd be nearly impossible to see the very faint blush to his cheeks. He hesitated for a moment before speaking again. "Hikari..." He gave a long pause. "Would you find it cliché if I said I wanted to kiss a beautiful girl while standing amongst something so pretty?" He asked softly, and a bit nervously too.
Nobu started to stand up again when he saw Celestine pat the edge of the bed. He had manors at least and waited until he was invited onto the bed. He climbed up and laid down then looked back over to Celestine. 'Gesa is about as friendly as I started out... At first none of us are friendly because we're supposed to protect our blades and judge who is worthy of wielding them. Sometimes the blades and the canine get handed down in families, which is how I started out. But in Gesa's case, I'm assuming her master showed force to win her over. She didn't seem too pleased with the master actually so I don't think he was meant to be her master.' He paused. 'At any rate, her master is male with long brown hair and dark wings. That's all I really saw of him and I can almost safely say he is unconcerned me... Otherwise I think he would have ordered Gesa to attack me. He was also a good distance back from where you all were when I caught up with you guys. Is he following one of you?' He questioned as he tilted his head to the side. |
Hikari looked up to Kyran when he put his arm around her and smiled slightly before resting against him again, though when he spoke she looked up at him slowly. Her eyes widened slightly in surprise and she tensed up a little. "Heh...he... j-just a little..." she stammered softly as she looked away from him again. Even in the dim light the color was hard to miss on her milky cheeks. She slowly looked up to him again, looking even more nervous than he sounded. "...I...I've...never been kissed before..." she said quietly, "Or...I mean..." she fumbled over her words for a moment and then finally just shut up. She enjoyed sounding smart, but just now she felt like a bumbling idiot. She had been kissed several times on the hand, cheek, head... but she was pretty sure that wasn't what Kyran meant and it wasn't what she meant either.
Celestine looked at Nobu for a moment and nodded in understanding at what he said. "...Hmmm..." He sighed when he told him that he was a good distance back. "Yes... he is following LaRae. He's using some kind of mark to track her location..." He sighed quietly, "...From what she said the other night...the people from her clan with those marks are used for little more than weapons... those are the ones they send out when they want to wage war somewhere... like here." He sighed, apparently forgetting that he was supposed to be drying the cat. "...The one that hit me back then...he had the same mark on his arm..." He shook his head again quickly and then closed his eyes for a moment. "...All I can hope is that she gets no orders while she's here... That cemetery doesn't need to get any bigger..." |
Kyran glanced back down at her for a moment when she answered his question and gave a soft laugh. "...Yes... I suppose it is.." He commented quietly while glancing away again. His ears perked slightly when he heard her stumbling over her own words while trying to say that she'd never been kissed before. He couldn't help but smile a little while she tried to speak coherently. He wanted to say that he found it hard to believe that she'd never been kissed before but kept his mouth shut while he turned his head back to look at her. Again he hesitated but lifted his other hand up and gently touched her cheek then traced his fingers gently down her jaw line as he stared into her eyes for a moment and then leaned down to kiss her gently.
Nobu tilted his head to the side while he listened to Celestine and then looked away for a moment. 'I see... I doubt she'd get any orders that we wouldn't know about... Especially if we're around her all the time.' He paused. 'I don't know much of ancient marks from that clan, but I'd assume you have nothing to worry about unless she receives a letter from that other man. I don't think the marks can be used to issue orders...' He looked back over at Celestine and then down to Kyiri. 'So... is she supposed to dry herself the rest of the way?' He asked trying to change the subject. 'Oh... and back to that girl from before... Since you two kissed does that mean you like her?' He asked, tilting his head again. |
Hikari nearly froze when Kyran put his hand to her cheek, but she slowly turned her head up to look at him. Her shining blue eyes were full of anxiety and anticipation. Her lips parted slightly as if she intended to say something, but never got around to it; all she did was take small measured breaths through her mouth, at least until he finally kissed her. She did freeze for a moment and then she felt like she just melted. She closed her eyes and leaned into him a little more, pressing her lips back against his a little. She raised her hand and gently placed her hand against his cheek as well. Seconds later, however, she felt herself falling and opened her eyes quickly only to find the entire world spinning on her. It took her a moment to realize why and she inhaled deeply. "I-I forgot to breathe..." she gasped as her face turned even more red.
Celestine just sighed at what Nobu had to say, "Lets hope..." he said quietly. He blinked and looked down to Kyiri when he mentioned her and half smiled before continuing to rub her with the towel. His face turned red again when he mentioned Mariah. "She kissed me!" he corrected him, and then looked away all together. "How could I like her, I barely even know her anymore! I haven't even spoked to the girl in nearly eight years!" he said simply. He sighed again and shook his head. "...I don't...think I like her...I used to...when we were little, but that's been a long time ago..." |
Kyran opened his eyes when he felt Hikari slipping away. Thankfully he hadn't moved his other arm from behind her shoulders; He had however rather quickly moved his other hand to help pull her back up to her feet. Though he didn't let go of her right away, he pulled her close and gave her a gentle hug while smiling softly. "...Next time, remember to breathe." He said with a quiet laugh. Then released her from the hug while keeping his arm around her shoulders.
Nobu's ears laid back slightly after hearing Celestine correct him. 'Okay.. okay.. no need to get all defensive on me.. It was just a simple question.' He paused and his ears relaxed. 'So... some girl you don't even think you like.. Kisses you and you wind up having to deal with the idiots afterwards?' He tilted his head. 'That doesn't sound very fair to me...' |
Hikari smiled weakly while Kyran hugged her and she tried to catch her breath. "Y-you mean...there's a next time?" she asked with a quietly laugh. "...I'll have to try to remember that..." She smiled and leaned against him again after he released her from the hug and rust wrapped her arm around his waist. She sighed softly and closed her yes. "...What are we doing?" she asked quietly. She knew they shouldn't be doing this... not after what happened to his parents and not with her position... Her father would have her head if he knew about this.
Celestine just sighed and continued trying to dry Kyiri. "Yeah... pretty much. But then again life isn't fair, is it?" he asked softly. He shook his head and sighed. "Alright, cat, you're on your own." he said finally, picking her and the towel up to set of to the side. He half smiled as he watched Kyiri wiggle out of the towel and start licking herself to try to get dry. "I doubt I will have to worry about them again. I think they're a little too chicken to mess with this freak and all of his animal friends." He said with a quiet chuckle. |
Kyran gave a small laugh. "...There will be a next time unless you plan to never kiss anyone ever again." He said lightly. He sighed softly and just shut his eyes; He was content just standing here with her now that he'd gotten that off his chest. He slowly opened his eyes and gave a heavier sigh after hearing her question. Of course he knew that type of question was going to be too far off he only hoped it'd been a little longer before it came up. He knew better then to have just done what he had but he couldn't help it. He didn't look at her and see her title or her clan he just saw Hikari. Then suddenly it clicked; He understood even better how his own father could so easily over look clan for someone he cared about. But he did need to remember that she wasn't just a girl from another clan; She was royalty after all. He gave another sigh and gently pulled himself away from her. "...I don't know... I don't regret any thing, but I do apologize." He said quietly while averting his eyes.
Nobu looked at Celestine. 'Life has been pretty fair to me, at least.' He commented then watched as Kyiri got out from the towel. He turned his head towards the door briefly and then back to Celestine. 'The only thing freaky about you is that it sounds like you're having an in-depth conversation with yourself to anyone who comes near that door.' |
Hikari looked over to Kyran when he pulled away from her and shook her head slightly. "...Don't apologize..." she said quietly, "You did no more than I let you." She sighed softly and closed her eyes for a moment and just stood there silently. "...I don't regret it either...it's just...I can't do this to you two..." she said softly, "...I do like you, Kyran....a lot.... But I'm not worth all of the aggravation. My father would have a fit, and so would a lot of my people." She said quietly. She felt her eyes watering under her lids, and she couldn't make them stop. She couldn't think of a time when she hated that gem that was planted in her forehead more than this. Were she anyone else, this wouldn't have mattered so much, at least not to her. But no, she had to be born a royal. There was no law against inter-clan marriage in her territory, but it would be especially frowned upon in the royal family. Her family was almost inbred close as their blood ties were. She finally just sat down where she stood and turned her head away from him slightly, just enough that her face was hidden from view while the tears slid down her cheeks.
Celestine laughed softly and looked back to Nobu again. "...Good thing for me that everyone is out or asleep then." He said lightly as he rubbed the top of his head again. "...Are you staying in here tonight?" Finally another party-goer had decided that it was time to leave. Even though it was dark out, she still made her way down to the bridge and then out to the lake. That was about her favorite place to be. The girl appeared to be about 12 with long jade green hair with a tint of blue and large sapphire blue eyes. She was wearing a deep blue dress that was longer in the back than in the front and flat bottomed sandals that hooked around her ankles. Her tail was long and slender with a sort of feathery look to the tip, and her wings were layered with two overlapping flaps of almost transparent skin between the ribs where her wings bent. Her scales were a sort of blue-green color and her ears held a bit of a blue color at the tips of each of the three prongs that extended from them. She had one short golden horn, but it was almost hard to find among her hair. Just by looking at her, it was obvious that she was not a full wind dragon; she was one quarter water dragon and one quarter siren, which was apparently by the shape of her ears. She sighed as she reached the water's edge and started to remove her sandals from her feet. "What a night..." she muttered quietly to herself. |
Kyran continued to stand there quietly for a few minutes just listening to Hikari. He kept his thoughts to himself at least for the time waiting until she was finished. Once she sat down and turned her head away he gave a heavy sigh before walking back over to her and sitting down next to her. He lifted his hand up to his chest pocket of his vest and unbuttoned it, pulling out a small pale purple handkerchief and then handed it over to Hikari. He didn't have to look in her in the face to know she was crying. He glanced over at her for a moment and then averted his eyes momentarily. "...I guess I should start by saying I'm glad the feelings are mutual..." He said quietly. "...And, I finally realized how my father was able to love Azami like he did, without caring what other people thought." He paused. "My father didn't see Azami for her clan or her linage but for the person she was... And fell in love with her regardless. I was so against even thinking it was possible to like someone from another clan, at least until I met you." He gave a light sigh. "I was also so very bitter for what happened to my Father; I thought he was foolish. But now I think I at least understand him better." He leaned forward slightly and looked back to Hikari. "...You said you're not worth the aggravation..." He paused. "...How can you measure what you're worth to me?" He glanced away again. "Regardless of your father or you people, my feelings for you won't change... And I hope more now then ever that some sort of peace comes from this mission we're on..."
Nobu leaned slightly into Celestine when he started to rub the top of his head. '...Maybe. It depends on if Kyran tries to run me outside. I think he's got a thing against having me in other people's houses.' He paused. '...But if I can manage to stay up here then I'd like to help you get some sleep tonight.' Aamori hadn't moved very much from the boulder that she'd been sitting on. Her knees were still drawn up to her chest tightly and her head was still resting against her knees with her hair draped around her slightly. She'd dozed off a couple times after she finished talking to herself; Trying not to get herself too upset. She however was awake when the other girl neared the lake. She just barely turned her head to look over when she heard someone come closer. She was a little taken back at first by the girls looks. She could easily tell she was part water dragon; Soon after she recalled the girl from the dream that she'd shared with Celestine. She continued to sit quietly watching the girl for a moment before looking away and letting her eyes rest on the water. |
Hikari sat there silently, though she did turn her head slightly when he offered he handkerchief to her. She took it reluctantly and wiped her eyes with it. She really couldn't believe that she'd started crying over something so...silly. Maybe she really was starting to act like a princess. She looked back to Kyran while he spoke and a weak smile crept to her face when he said that his feelings for her wouldn't change. It's funny how attached you can get to someone in such a short amount of time. When he finished she turned around and wrapped both of her arms his neck as she nuzzled her face into his chest and all but crawled into his lap. "...Me, too..." she whispered quietly. She just kept her arms around his neck and rested against him lightly. "I'm sorry... I always have to think of the worst things at the worst times... I love you, Kyran..." she said quietly.
Celestine half smiled and continued to rub his head. "...Well, you're welcome to stay inside... I'm pretty sure he can figure out that I let you inside..." he said simply. "...But if you can't stay, don't worry about it. I'll probably spend the night on the roof anyway." The young girl continued to remove her dress, as well as her panties before diving straight into the water and submerging herself. Once she was completely underwater her legs and tail all merged into one to turn into one large blue-green fin. That always happened when she was completely submerged in water, whether she wanted it to or not. Sirens did have some magical abilities other than their voice, they could give themselves, legs, but only on land, once submerged in water again, their fins came back again. Obviously, she still had that trait from that part of her linage. She remained under water for a good while without even offering to come up for air; she didn't need to. Finally, she did come up again, flipping her hair back over her head once the resurfaced before flipping onto her back and paddling across the water's surface with her arms crossed behind her head. She didn't even notice the other girl there until she floated right up to the bolder that she was sitting on. "Oh!!" her eyes widened and she flipped over again, disappearing under the water with a splash. |
Kyran was still looking away, at least until he felt her wrap her arms around his neck; Then he glanced down to her and smiled softly. Once she rested against him, he set his head down on top of hers lightly while wrapping his own arms around her. He was about to tell her not to apologize but was a little shocked hearing the last thing she said. After what she'd said previously he really hadn't expected that and he refrained from saying it first just because he hadn't wanted to make anything harder on her. He just smiled a bit more warmly and tightened his grip on her slightly. "...I love you too, Hikari." He said quietly.
Nobu started to inch just a little closer to Celestine and finally rested his head in his lap; Obviously enjoying the more then usual attention he was receiving. 'Kyran has to find me first...' He paused. 'So I doubt I'm going to be run out right away... He may even be asleep before he finds me. I'm almost positive I can be here all night...' Aamori only looked back to the girl for a moment and then averted her eyes rather quickly when she noticed the girl strip down to nothing but her bra. She rather timidly looked back once the girl was in the water and waited for her to resurface. She merely quirked a brow noticing the girls legs were gone and replaced with a single fin. She guessed that explained her removing her panties. She continued to just sit there quietly watching her, half amused that she hadn't noticed her yet. Though when the girl did finally come closer and notice her, the reaction she received only made her smile a little trying to hold back a soft chuckle. She was still rather depressed and had been for the most part wallowing in a pool of her own self-pity. It was kind of nice to have something to distract her from her previous thoughts. |
