Celestine opened his eyes and looked up to Kyran when he asked his question and then groaned. "I don't..." he said in a rather childish whiny voice, one that you hardly ever got out of him. He almost sounded ready to cry. He didn't even feel like thinking about this right now. He sighed again and closed his eyes. "...Tomorrow... at the latest..." he said finally.

Marius smiled weakly to Celestine and gently set him up off of him. "You said that you couldn't make heads or tails of what you dreamed before. Tell me what you saw." He said gently.

Celestine looked over to him and sighed heavily before closing his eyes and leaning forward with his elbows propped on his knees. He rested his forehead on his folded hands and just sat there silently for a moment, obviously trying to think. "...I'm in a forest... there's some kind of fog around... I heard something that sounded...sounded like some kind of music... then I heard something more behind me. There was nothing there...then it was in front of me. I turned back around and there was a...really big snake with eyes like mine staring at me. Then everything seemed to just...zoom by and I saw the opening to the temple and some kind of old writing. Then it came back. I hear something behind me again and looked back..." he said slowly, speaking as if he was telling him what happened as it happened, like he was replaying it in his mind. "I turned back around..." He suddenly startled violently and sat up straight again, shaking his head violently from side to side.

"And then what?"

"...I don't know. I lost it." he said rather quickly.

Marius sighed softly. "It seems to me like you have all of the right clues, you just haven't put them together yet." he said simply as he stood up again. "Snakes tend to gather near that temple." he said simply.

"...So what am I supposed to do, take a snake with me?"

Marius chuckled softly. "Well...that could be one way to do it." he said simply.

Hikari just stood there silently, looking from Celestine to Marius and back again. "...I am so confused..."

"Join the club..." Celestine muttered, rubbing his temples as he got to his feet.

Nanashi blinked when he saw the boot come tumbling down the steps and just tiled his head slightly. He sat there for a moment before getting up and walking across the room, though he was only halfway there when he saw the arm reach out and grab the boot. He paused and tilted his head slightly, watching the boot disappear from site again. "...LaRae?" he called, looking at the stair case blankly. "...Um...what are you...doing?"

Yotsy 07-11-2008 09:53 AM

Kyran shook his head lightly after hearing the way Celestine said 'I don't'. Then gave a heavy sigh. He hadn't wanted to bring that question up, but since Celestine was the lead in this territory he couldn't very well go asking any of the others when they were leaving. He looked back at Celestine when he said they'd leave tomorrow at the latest. "It sounds like this whole thing is stressing you out quite a bit." He paused. "We found the relic in Radha easily, take your time thinking about everything and getting ready for this Celestine. We don't need to rush it you know... We do have some spare time." He said lightly in his usual calm tone. He went quiet again after hearing about the vision that Celestine had apparently had. He glanced over to Hikari when she said she was confused and gave a slight nod. He was usually pretty good at following things and thinking in general but this whole topic kind of boggled his mind.

Aamori was quite a bit relieved when no one seemed to notice her stomach was on strike. She grumbled quietly before glancing back around at the others. She focused on Celestine briefly when she heard the way he spoke; Sounding like he was about to cry. She just stared at him for a moment, surprised by him sounding like that. She averted her eyes, then listened to everything that was said and gave a soft sigh. She was pretty much in the same boat as the others because she was pretty confused herself.

LaRae nearly froze when she heard Nanashi's voice and just stared down at the boot she'd picked up and then set it down next to the other one. "...I dropped.. my boot." She paused. "...I was just picking it back up." She said quietly still hiding behind the wall of the stair case. She gave a heavy sigh before standing up on the step after taking hold of her boots again. She held them in both of her arms right in front of her as if they were going to block the view of her in a dress. She hesitated just standing there for a few moments longer before giving in; Besides, she couldn't very well run back up the stairs now. She bit her lip lightly and stepped down from the stairs and moved away from the staircase, though she kept her head tilted down so she was staring at her boots.

Hikari sighed softly when she heard the way that Celestine answered Kyran. She really did feel sorry for the kid. She really thought he was a little too young to be expected to manage all of this.

Celestine sighed softly and nodded to Kyran when he said that he could take his time and think about this. He could be thinking about this for the remainder of the five months and still not figure it out at the rate that he was going.

Marius smiled slightly at Kyran and then shook his head. "I think the fact that he has been trying not to sleep is stressing him out more than the task at hand." he said simply. He placed his hand on Celestine's shoulder gently and patted it lightly. "Go home and get some sleep before you make yourself sick." he told him, "You can't avoid sleep forever."

Celestine sighed softly and nodded again. "Yeah, yeah..." he muttered quietly. "...I'm going to go." he said simply, starting for the door.

Marius nodded and gave him a weak smile as he headed for the door. "...Celestine... don't wait another four years to come an visit me." he told him.

Celestine paused for a moment and glanced back to him. "...I won't." he told him before he stepped outside again. He sighed softly and just stepped off the porch before starting down the road again.

Hikari watched Celestine go and then sighed softly and looked over to Marius again. "I do have one question....though I am going to sound pretty silly asking it."

"What is it, Hikari?" he asked with a smile.

Hikari blinked. "...Um..." she seemed a little thrown off by the use of her name, since she'd yet to mention it. "...Well...Kanone told us that dream seer can see into the future... I was just wondering...if you knew that we were going to be the ones who were chosen."

He nodded slightly with a weak smile. "I did..." he said softly, "Some things that we see change each time we see them, but that was one thing that remained constant. The seven of you were meant to go on this journey together, that is that Fate determined. I was there when you were chosen as well. Had one of you not been there, you would have been sought out...just as the sphere went all the way into the yard to find your last member. There is something special about each one of you that will allow you to accomplish this task." He smiled again, "But that is all that I can tell you."

Nanashi chuckled softy when LaRae said that she'd dropped her boot. "Well I saw that." he said lightly, "Why are you hiding?" He waited until she finally came down the steps and then blinked. "Uh..." he stared at her for a moment, looking her over from top to bottom. He'd never seen her dressed up before, so this was a little new. "Um...LaRae...you....you look..." he was trying to say 'beautiful' but he wasn't really sure that covered it. "...You...look amazing..." he said softly.

Yotsy 07-11-2008 12:08 PM

Aamori looked up again finally when she heard Celestine say that he was going to go. She watched him leave and then glanced back to the others momentarily. "...I think I'm heading out too." She said quietly before heading for the door and slipping outside without another word. She stepped off the porch and started to follow after Celestine quietly. She probably would've left even if Celestine hadn't. Her stomach's growls were starting to become more frequent and she was pretty sure she'd heard all she needed to.

Kyran watched when Celestine left, and then watched as Aamori left not to long after before looking at Hikari when she said she had a question. After hearing her question, he was a little curious himself to know the answer. Once Marius had finished answering the question he gave a slight nod. He wasn't going to say that everything made a whole lot of sense but he was at least willing to accept the way things happened. He glanced back over to Marius with his own question. "I've got a question too, if you don't mind answering." He started. "Celestine's sleeping patterns didn't seem too bad when we first started out. It was only when we started to get around here that he started to well.. not sleep..." He paused. "I'm assuming now, after everything I've heard that these visions he has may be the culprit for him not sleeping... So, Is there anything that can be done to help him?" He gave a sigh. "We can't very well go this whole mission with him not sleeping well..."

LaRae stood there quietly, already feeling rather embarrassed. "...I-I.. wasn't...hiding.." She said quietly before starting to glance up at him. When he started to say how she looked she lowered her eyes again. Though as soon as he said she looked amazing, her eyes shot back up to him for a moment; Her cheeks suddenly pink and then she fumbled and dropped her boots.

Cyndel 07-11-2008 12:49 PM

Celestine glanced back to the house when he heard the door open again and looked back to Aamori. He sighed softly and paused long enough to wait on her to catch up a little before he started walking again. He didn't get very far before he was stopped again by someone calling his name.

"Celestine!" Mariah called as she came jogging down the dirt road toward him. "Hey, Celestine, wait up!" she said as she came to a walk beside him. She was wearing an outfit similar to the one that she'd had on last night, only this one was more red with yellow designs. "You disappeared on me last night." she said lightly as she moved closer to his side.

Celestine sighed. "God not again..." "Yeah. I went to the bridge. You could have asked your groupies where I was after they ran back with their tails between their legs." he said flatly.

She laughed softly, "Sorry about them, I can't keep my eye on everyone." she said with an innocent smile.

"No, I guess not." he said simply in a rather bored tone.

Mariah blinked and looked at Celestine for a moment. What was with that attitude he as giving her? She looked over to Aamori for a moment and then looked back to Celestine. "You sound tired. Why don't you come over for a little while and get away from everyone for a day?" she asked as she took a hold of his arm.

Celestine looked over to Mariah and then down to his arm before looking back up to her. "Mariah...I don't know if you noticed last night...but I didn't come looking for you after you walked off..." he said slowly.
"Yes...and..." she said in the same tone, as if waiting for him to continue.
"Thanks for understanding." He said as he pulled his arm away from her and continued forward at a slightly faster pace, leaving her staring there gawking at his back.

Marius looked over to Kyran and sighed softly. "...Yes, the visions do have something to do with it... You see dream seers can be affected by location and mood and Celestine's attachment to what happens here...well it keeps picking up on what happened in this area a few years back. It's not surprising that he can't sleep very well. But as far as something that can be done for it...I am not sure. I think the best thing will be when you move on to another place, but until then...just try to keep him preoccupied with other things and hope that he will stop thinking so negatively. Beyond that...well it's up to him, I'm afraid. There is only so much an outside force can do." He smiled slightly, "He does seem to be fairly attached to that animal of yours, Kyran. He was thinking about going back to the house and letting him up in his room when he was in here as well." He said simply. Apparently Celestine had been ready to say to hell with it and just go back to bed all together.

Hikari blinked and tilted her head slightly. "How do you know he was thinking about that?" she asked curiously, "Was he talking about Nobu?"

"No no... Celestine just...thinks rather loudly sometimes. He is also what we call a 'sender,' one who can send thoughts and images to the minds of others and can often receive them in return. I think anyone with the least bit of sensitivity could have probably heard him halfway across the village earlier. That's another thing that he's yet to learn to control very well..." He told then and then sighed as he went to sink down in his chair again, "And I expect I will be hearing from him sooner or later in another little rage." he said with a soft chuckle. "He keeps a lot to himself, if we waited for him to tell you these things you would probably never know."

Nanashi smiled weakly when LaRae looked up to him again and dropped her boots. He glanced down and then walked the last few steps over to her and reached to pick them up before smiling again. "Really...you look...beautiful..." He said softly. He started at her for a moment before finally averting his eyes sheepishly.

Yotsy 07-11-2008 01:43 PM

Aamori hurried to catch up to Celestine when she noticed that he looked back and had stopped walking. She gave a weak smile once she was beside him and then started walking when he had. She was about to open her mouth to say something to him but was cut off when she heard that girls voice again. She heaved a heavy sigh when she looked up and saw Mariah. She'd seen enough of the girl last night and certainly wasn't happy to see her now and it probably showed on her face. She couldn't help but ball up her fists when she noticed how close she was getting to him. She continued to stay quiet and when Mariah looked over at her she gave a pseudo smile and then turned her head away to roll her eyes. She happened to glance back over just about the time that Mariah had taken a hold of his arm and had to bite her tongue. So far she really didn't like this girl and keeping her mouth shut was becoming more difficult. Though after hearing the last things that Celestine said she felt a little better and couldn't help chuckling once Celestine had walked away; The look on Mariah's face was priceless. She stood there for a moment before taking a step or two forward and then turning to face Mariah. She smiled pleasantly and then instantly grinned rather devilishly before quickly spitting out words in her native tongue. At first it seemed like it was nothing more then her blowing steam so Mariah couldn't understand it but if one hadn't seen her balled up fist glowing then they wouldn't have known she was really saying a chant. She took a deep breath as soon as she was finished and then smiled again. "Isn't it obvious?" She paused. "He isn't trying to get away from everyone... Just you." Then as she said the word 'you' the rather large sized ball of water that she'd conjured above Mariah's head popped; completely dousing the girl. She took a few steps back as to not get wet from the splash and tilted her head to the side slightly. "...Now... How did that happen?" She asked innocently before sticking her tongue out at her and then turning around to catch up to Celestine.

Kyran listened to everything that Marius had said and was nodding every now and again in understanding. Though his ears perked up when he heard Marius mention an animal of his, obvious that meant Nobu because he didn't have any other animals. He didn't say anything just yet, keeping his comments until Marius was finished. Once he'd heard everything he just gave another nod. Knowing all of this did help and it sure explained a couple of things at least. He gave a soft sigh. "...Keeping him preoccupied shouldn't be all that hard once we get started again. He's a stickler when it comes to time..." He paused. "And Aamori is around him a lot so I kind of think that helps." He lifted up his arms and loosely crossed them over his chest. "As for Nobu, I'm a little surprised that he's become so attached. I hadn't thought they'd been around each other all that much..." He gave a slight sigh. "...It must be difficult for him having that ability..." He mumbled absently while he was thinking again. He looked up and over at Marius. "Another little rage?" He paused. "Do I even want to ask?" He probably could have thought of better things to ask, or say but right now he had an overflow of information that he was trying to sort through. Given some more time he'd probably have other questions but he wasn't sure he wanted to take up anymore time then he already had. Not to mention the last thing he wanted was to have Celestine upset for him staying here asking a million questions.

LaRae stared down at her boots for a moment when she realized that she dropped them. She just watched quietly as Nanashi came over and picked them up. Then he said another compliment and her cheeks changed shades of pink. She could feel her cheeks burning already and couldn't seem to do anything more then just stand there looking at him as if she wasn't sure she heard him correctly. A soft smile finally crept onto her face and she glanced away a little. "...Thank ..you." She said quietly as she started to fidget with her hands.

Cyndel 07-11-2008 02:17 PM

Mariah just glared daggers at Aamori when she turned around and started jabbering at her in some other language. When she finally spoke in words she could understand she started top open her mouth to shoot something back at her, but all that same out was a high-pitched squeak when the water burst over her head. She just stood there for a moment, completely drenched before she balled up her fists. She wanted to go and beat the living daylights out of that little water snake, but she just turned around and started back to her house. She could always get her later...right now she needed something else to wear.

Celestine just continued walking, though he heard Aamori spouting off at Mariah behind him. He paused just long enough to look back after he heard the water pop and couldn't help but to grin at the look on Mariah's face. He looked at Aamori when she caught up with him again and shook his head. "I believe that gives a new meaning to the term, 'getting dumped.'" He said simply.

Marius looked at Kyran and laughed softly, shaking his head. "Oh I just meant that he is going to ream my ears for telling you about his other ability." he said simply, "It is hard on him, I'm sure...but it is still something that he has to grow in to. The abilities will only get stronger as he grows older, they won't just go away like he wishes them to."

Hikari looked at Marius for a few moments and smiled slightly. "I was just wondering...you said that he wasn't quite your grandson... what did you mean?"

"Well, I meant that as far as blood relations go, we're not part of the same family. You see, his grandmother already had one son, which was Celestine's father, before I met her and we had Kanone's father. So Kanone is my only grandson, but I still look at Celestine as one as well, just like I always viewed Corentin as a son."

Hikari just smiled again, "Oh, I get it.. That's nice." she said brightly. She'd been wondering how all of that worked, since Sonia didn't refer to Marius as 'the dream seer' rather than any relation to her.

"Yes, nice and confusing, I know." He said with a soft laugh. "Any more questions?" he asked pleasantly as he looked between the two of them. "If you plan to stay a while I am sure I can come up with drinks at the least."

Nanashi smiled at LaRae again and finally looked back to her before stepping back a little. "Well...erm...where would you like me to put these?" he asked, sounding rather nervous. He really didn't seem to know what to make of her at the moment. She looked so much different in a dress than she did in her usual clothes.

Kanone finally made his way through the front door again after taking his time getting home. His hair was already half dry by now, but he guessed it still wouldn't hurt to change shirts or something. He paused about three steps after getting in the living room and stared at LaRae. "Da-amn....." He commented as he stared at her. "What did you do with Miss Dirt-Stains?" He asked with a smile. "Looking good, LaRae."

Yotsy 07-11-2008 02:45 PM

Aamori glanced over to Celestine once she'd caught up to him. She smiled slightly hearing what he said and then chuckled lightly as she continued to play coy. "..I've no idea where all that water came from. It just came out of no where and luckily, it managed to not touch me at all." She paused and gave another chuckle. "Freak rain clouds maybe?" She'd never admit it but she was quite a bit happier after hearing the few exchanges. At least she got the impression he wasn't really into that girl as much as it looked last night.

Kyran looked at Marius and sighed. "I doubt you'll be the only one hearing it, Marius." He paused. "We'll probably get a nice talking to for staying to talk." He said lightly then looked over towards Hikari when she asked another question. He agreed with what Hikari had said about it being nice that Marius thought that of Celestine. He glanced back over at Marius and shook his head lightly. "The family ties are no where near as confusing as understanding his abilities." He commented. "And as of right now... I don't have anything else to ask." He paused and laughed softly. "Now, give me a few hours to think on everything and I'm sure I'd have enough questions to run one's voice dry." He then turned to look at Hikari once again waiting to see if she had anything else she wanted to ask. If not, then they should probably get going.

LaRae glanced back over to Nanashi when he started to back up and then ask about her boots. She took a step closer to him and took her boots back. "...Thank you, but I'll put them somewhere." She said lightly. She half thought to put them near the bench where Aamori always dropped her stuff, maybe they'd be out of the way there. She started to turn slightly to walk them over there but came to a stop when she heard Kanone. Just like before her cheeks changed shades, though they went from pink to red this time and then she fumbled and dropped her boots again. "...eh...erm.." She just stared at him for a moment before she quickly knelt down and started to pick up her boots. She tilted her head slightly so that when she knelt down her hair cascaded over her shoulders and into her face. She lingered there, knelt down in front of her boots for a moment hiding behind her hair. She wasn't sure how many more of these complements she could take. She was already wishing her clothes were clean just so she could get out of the dress. She started to stand up, her hair still blocking her face a great deal and she moved over to the bench and set her boots down beside it.

Cyndel 07-11-2008 03:55 PM

Celestine laughed softly and shook his head. "I suppose so." He said simply in response to what she said about the freak rain cloud. "...I don't know what happened to her...she wasn't like that when we were little." he said softly, "I guess she just grew up and fell in love with a mirror." he said simply. He closed his eyes for a moment and sighed softly, though when he opened his eyes again, he felt like the whole world was just jerked out from under him. He stumbled and nearly fell, though he managed to latch onto Aamori's arm before he fell on his face. He held onto her for a second before he straightened up and sighed softly, shaking his head. "...I really need to go to bed when I get back..." he muttered under his breath. He sighed and finally remembered to let go of her arm. "Sorry... I got a little dizzy when I opened my eyes..." he said simply before starting to walk again.

Marius laughed softly at Kyran's answer. "Well, that's quite alright. If you think of something later, you're more than welcome to come back. I'm fairly certain that I will not be doing much."

Hikari glanced to Kyran and noticed him looking at her and smiled weakly. She looked back to Marius again and fidgeted slightly with her hands in front of her. "Well...I did have one more thing that I was slightly curious about..." she said before glancing apologetically to Kyran.

Marius just laughed softly. "Go ahead." he said simply.

"Well...we were told that only elders signed that paper and...well you just...seem kind of young to me, so I was wondering...how elders are chosen here." she said with a weak smile.

Marius laughed softly again, "I'm glad I still look young." he commented before looking back to her to answer her questions. "Elders here are elected based on...well several things. Being a dream seer can definitely earn you several votes, but it is also based on personality, judgment, ...probably several other things that I'm not even aware of..." He shook his head slightly and gave another soft laugh. "Celestine may be in my shoes one of these days...if he ever learns to control that temper of his. And if he would have anything to do with the position. I don't think he would care much for the idea."

Hikari smiled weakly, "No I...somehow doubt that he would." She agreed, "Well, I think I ran out of questions." she said softly, bowing slightly, "I'll give you some peace." she said with a smile.

Marius nodded to her and laughed softly, "You're perfectly fine." he assured her again as he stood once more, apparently intending to walk them to the door.

Kanone watched as LaRae fumbled her boots and laughed softly before shaking his head. "'Thanks for the compliment, Kanone'" he said in a rather poor impression of a girl's voice, "Oh no problem, LaRae, you look great when you dress like a girl.'" He answered himself with a chuckle. "I'd better go change shirts before I get slapped." he said as he headed for the stairs quickly.

Nanashi chuckled softly and shook his head at LaRae's reaction and what Kanone said to her afterwards. He walked over to LaRae and smiled slightly, lightly placing his hand on her shoulder. "What's wrong?" He asked softly. He looked down at her back and gathered her hair, pulling it back over her shoulders again to cover the mark, just because he knew she didn't really like it showing.

Yotsy 07-11-2008 04:44 PM

Aamori smiled a bit hearing him laugh softly. She couldn't remember very many times that she'd ever heard him laugh, so of course it made her smile. She glanced back over at him when he started talking about her and gave a soft sigh before looking away again. "...You call that grown up?" She half muttered. She didn't look back over at him until she felt him grab hold of her arm. She startled terribly and looked at him with a rather worried look on her face as he straightened himself up. She gave a soft sigh when he let go of her arm and started walking again. "..It's alright." She paused. "If you need to lean on me.. I don't mind." She said quietly.

Kyran gave a nod. If he had any questions, he indeed intended to come back and try to get answers. Who knew when he'd have a chance like this again. He just looked at Hikari for a moment when she said she had another question. He just listened quietly before staring at her when he heard her question. More so, he was surprised that Marius even answered that. In his territory at least it wasn't allowed for another clan to inquire about stuff like that. Since it was usually a little different from one clan to the next, that was supposed to be a secret or at least that's what he thought. He did however give a soft laugh himself when he heard that Celestine could be in Marius' shoes one day. He did agree with them both, not to mention he just couldn't picture Celestine in that type of job. Once Hikari was done asking questions he turned and started towards the door, opening it and holding it for her.

LaRae didn't say anything in response to Kanone, even at his poor impression of a girls voice. She just continued to kneel there until he'd gone for the stairs and Nanashi touched her shoulder. She gave a sigh lifted her hand up gently touching her cheek. It was still warm so she assumed the color hadn't faded yet. "...I'm just not used... to wearing a dress..." She said quietly. She waited until after he had moved her hair to stand back up.

Cyndel 07-11-2008 05:12 PM

Celestine glanced back over to Aamori and smiled weakly. "...I'm fine." He said quietly before looking away again. "I'm just tired. If I lean on you I'm liable to fall asleep standing up." He said simply. He just reached over to her and grabbed her hand lightly, trying to pull her along a little faster. He'd about had it already, he just wanted to get home and curl up somewhere, he didn't even care if he slept on the porch with Nobu.

Hikari smiled to Marius again and then started to the door once Kyran went to open it. She smiled slightly at him as she walked out, "Thank you." she said before stepping onto the porch. She waited there for Kyran before stepping down and starting back toward the house.

Marius smiled at Kyran and Hikari as they left and gave them a wave befre closing the door behind them. He shook his head slightly and went to sit down again. That girl certainly was a curious one, but he saw no harm in her gaining a little knowledge about their clan. There wasn't a lot she could do with it, really.

Nanashi smiled slightly at LaRae and shook his head. "...Oh..is that all?" he laughed softly, "...It's alright...you really do look....well...gorgeous. I mean, you're...you're beautiful anyway, but....the dress really....suits you." he said with a weak smile. He felt his own cheeks burning with color, for once enough to probably be noticeable before he looked away from her. "...Sorry." he said quietly

Yotsy 07-11-2008 05:37 PM

Aamori glanced down when she felt him take her hand and then start pulling her along. She gave a soft sigh and glanced up at him. "Since when did you point out the obvious?" She asked of course referring to him saying he was tired. She'd known that he was tired and it was painfully obvious that he needed to sleep.

Kyran followed Hikari out of the house and offered a wave and pleasant smile to Marius as he started off back towards the house. After they got a started he looked down to Hikari and shook his head very lightly. "...You know, you ask a lot of questions." He said with a chuckle.

LaRae gave a soft sigh and glanced over at him rather timidly once he'd complimented her again not once, but twice. She thought the color in her cheeks might have been starting to subside but thanks to what he'd said she only blushed more. On top of not being used to wearing a dress she really wasn't used to all the attention she was getting, let alone the barrage of compliments. She was so ready to get back into her jeans and shirt and go back to being pretty much overlooked. She relaxed slightly and looked at him with a slight smile seeing him looking away. She gave a sigh as she stepped closer to him and practically stood right in front of his face so he had to look at her. "...And what are you apologizing for this time?" She asked lightly.

Cyndel 07-11-2008 05:57 PM

Celestine just sighed quietly and shook his head. "..." Normally he would have come back with something smart but he didn't even feel like doing that right now. "...Just walk..." he said simply. Once they got near the house again he released her hand to let her walk on her and started up to the porch. He looked down to Nobu and sighed softly. "Want to come back inside?" he thought to him tiredly.

Hikari looked over to Kyran and smiled slightly. "Those who fear to ask the question will never know the answer." she said simply, "He seemed willing enough to answer. I'm sure if I wasn't meant to know I would have been told so." she said lightly. "Don't worry, I can usually pick out the right people to ask the wrong questions to." she said with a soft laugh.

Nanashi glanced at her again and his blush deepened slightly. He gave her a weak smile and then tried to glance away again. "...F-for embarrassing you." he said quietly. "...I was only speaking my mind... I'm sorry if I made you more uncomfortable." he said quietly, closing his eyes since he found it hard to look away from her now.

Aamori just looked over at Celestine when he didn't say anything smart back and then gave a soft sigh when he told her to just walk. When they reached the house she looked at it for a moment before glancing down noticing he'd released her hand. "...Well... I hope you get some sleep." She said quietly.

Nobu hadn't been asleep since he was let outside, he just laid there relaxed on the porch. He had however lifted his head when he noticed Celestine and Aamori coming back towards the house. He turned his head more towards Celestine though before getting to his feet. He could tell how tired Celestine was, even without hearing him. 'You look rough.' He paused. 'Of course, just open the door.' He thought as she moved over towards the door to wait for him to open it.

Kyran nodded slightly. Had he not been through all the formal training for his job, he probably would've asked half of the questions that she had. But he'd been taught not cross some lines when in another territory. He glanced back over to Hikari, slightly changing the subject. "...That vision that Celestine was telling Marius about..." He paused. "...Did you make anything of it?" He figured he'd ask. Since they'd both heard about it maybe they could think of something to try and help Celestine out. At least he was hoping that was possible.

LaRae continued to look at him even when he shut his eyes. She'd been able to put aside the fact that she was uncomfortable, at least a little because she was focusing on the reaction she was getting out of Nanashi at the moment. Her own blushed cheeks were starting to fade a bit and she smiled a little more warmly now. "...You are allowed to speak you're mind around me." She said as she reached out to take his hand lightly. "...And I'll get over being uncomfortable." She paused and then chuckled lightly. "So why aren't you looking at me? Are you embarrassed now too?"

Cyndel 07-11-2008 11:37 PM

Celestine glanced back to Aamori and gave her a brief smile. "Yeah...thanks..." he said quietly, "...And stay away from that lake...if you want to play in the water, go to the stream." He told her before climbing up the steps. The last thing she needed was to get near some of those starwart flowers again. He sighed softly and reached down to rub the top Nobu's head before he actually started up the steps, though he was dragging his feet so much that he he actually tripped on the second step and fell up the other two. His chin bounced off the wood at the top of the step, leaving a nice scrape on the lower side of his chin. He just sighed and laid there for a moment before pushing himself up and climbing to his feet again. He made sure to raise his feet higher this time when he went up the stairs and just opened the door, motioning Nobu in ahead of him.

Nanashi finally opened his eyes and smiled weakly before trying to avert them again. "Yes..." he said quietly to answer her question. He was pretty embarrassed. He was pretty sure that he'd just used every word in the English language to tell her that she looked beautiful. He glanced back to her again for a moment and was just about to say something more when the door opened and he saw Celestine standing there. He blinked and stared at him for a moment. "Umm...Celestine...you're bleeding."

Hikari looked back to Kyran again and thought for a few moments. "Well...no not really..." she said softly, "Though I believe some of what he saw sounded more like an actual dream mixed in with some of his future sight or...whatever it is. A lot of that could have been taken symbolically as well..." she said thoughtfully. "Snakes are often used to represent poison, but that really still doesn't help a lot..." she said with a soft sigh. "...He said that serpent had eyes like his... I've read somewhere about something that has eyes like his, with golden pupils, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was..."

Yotsy 07-12-2008 01:58 AM

Aamori looked at him and made a face when he said to play in stream over the lake. She knew why he said that, those damned starwart flowers seemed to leave their mark every time she went to that lake. "...It isn't my fault you know... Those starwart flowers are out to get me.." She said lightly. She watched him as he headed up the steps and had to look away quickly when she noticed him tripping on his way up. She flinched slightly when she heard him hit the wood and then started to look back at him as he was just laying there. She started over to him and was about to ask if he was alright but didn't when she saw that he was getting up. She followed after him up the steps and to the door. Once inside she looked over at LaRae momentarily but then her attention shifted when she heard Nanashi say that Celestine was bleeding. She hadn't noticed it yet and moved to stand in front of him; Now that she was looking, it wasn't like it was hard to see the scrape. She gave a soft sigh and cupped her hand slightly as it glowed faintly. She then lifted her hand to his chin and lightly ran it past the scrape washing it out and cleaning the blood off. She'd done the same thing once before, only to clean off his swallow that one day. Once she'd cleaned away the blood she lowered her hand and it stopped glowing. She clenched her hand together in a light fist, only because when she cleaned blood like that she usually ended up with it on her hand. She looked at his scrape for a moment and then leaned forward and lightly pressed her lips against his chin. "There." She paused. "Now you can go to bed." She said quietly with a faint smile before moving out of his way.

Nobu just stood there and watched when Celestine hit the wood and shook his head lightly. He didn't bother saying anything to him and waited until he opened the door for him and then slipped inside. He didn't linger in the room long before he went straight for the stairs and started up them; Waiting on Celestine.

LaRae smiled lightly hearing that he was embarrassed now too. At least she wasn't alone. Her ears twitched when she heard the door and then started to look over; Seeing Celestine. She noticed that he was bleeding right away too and gave a soft sigh. Her attention then shifted a little when Aamori started to move in front of Celestine. She just tilted her head to the side and watched as she cleaned up his scrape.

Kyran gave a nod after listening to Hikari. "...Doesn't sound like you got too much more from it then I did." He commented lightly. "The whole thing confused me a great deal, I wasn't quite sure what to make of it in pieces or as a whole." He paused. "But if we're speaking symbolically... Then a snake can mean a couple of different things, other then just poison. If I remember correctly they can also symbolize renewal or rebirth... Oh, and I think they can also be symbolized as guardians..." He gave a soft sigh. "As for the serpent having eyes like his, unfortunately I don't know anything knowledgeable about that. I don't think I've ever read, or been told of such a creature..." He glanced back to Hikari and shook his head lightly. He was really hoping that Celestine could sort this out because it really didn't seem like he or Hikari were getting very far with it.

Cyndel 07-12-2008 02:50 AM

Celestine glanced over to Nanashi when he said something about him bleeding and started to raise his hand, though Aamori was already on him before he got his hand up. He sucked in his breath with a wince and tried to pull his chin back when the water ran over the open wound. After a moment he gave up and just let her finish though he blinked and stared at her oddly when she kissed his chin and his cheeks turned a pale shade of pink. "...Um...yeah..." he said quietly before he started moving again. He glanced over to LaRae for a moment and quirked a brow. "...Nice dress." He said simply before he continued to the stairs and started up. Once he reached the top of the stairs he raised his hand to his chin and then continued down the hall to his room.

Nanashi watched Celestine and Aamori and smiled slightly, shaking his head. He looked over to LaRae when Celestine complimented the dress and half smiled. Well at least he acknowledged her, anyway. It was a start. He glanced back to the stairs for a moment when Celestine started up. "...He really looks exhausted..." he muttered quietly.

Hikari nodded to what Kyran said and then sighed heavily. "Poison and guardians... in a forbidden temple in a conscious forest.... I am liking the sound of this less and less." she said as she continued forward. "I just hope that he will be okay... this is a lot to handle and he really doesn't seem ready for it. He's still just a kid. And from the sound of it he's already troubled enough..."

Yotsy 07-12-2008 03:31 AM

Aamori watched Celestine as he went for the stairs and gave a slight smile once he was gone. "...Well... at least I didn't get called a demented water snake that time..." She said quietly remembering the last time that she'd kissed him like that. She finally glanced back over to LaRae and smiled softly. "So where'd you get the dress?" She paused with a slight chuckle. "It's so weird seeing you all dressed up... You do look nice though." She paused and then looked down at her hand as she released her fist. She gave a sigh and started to walk towards the kitchen. "...Excuse me." She said lightly as she left the room. She'd almost forgotten about that day but now seeing the blood on her hand it was starting to come back to her. She bit her lip lightly and went straight over to the sink to turn the water on.

LaRae just blankly stared at Celestine for a moment when he commented on the dress. It was official.. if he was complimenting then she really did want to get back into her usual clothes. She averted her eyes and stared at the ground at least until Aamori started talking about the dress too. She glanced up and over at Aamori with a faint smile. "...It's Sonia's..." She paused and looked away again when Aamori mentioned that it was weird seeing her dressed up. She couldn't agree more, it was rather weird. She didn't look up again until Aamori started to walk out of the room and then gave a relieved sigh. How many more people were going to compliment on this dress?

Nobu had waited at the top of the stairs for Celestine. He started beside him once he reached the top and looked up at him. 'How's your chin?' He paused noticing that he was touching it. 'Does it hurt?'

Kyran looked down at Hikari after shrugging lightly. "I don't know about you, but I'd rather have some rough ideas on what to expect then to stumble into it blind like in Radha..." He commented quietly. He glanced away with a soft sigh. "I think he'll be okay once he learns to trust us... He needs to learn to rely on us when he can't do something all by himself and not hide every little thing. Otherwise I think he's just working against the current..." He paused. "...And I think he'd be angry at you for calling him a kid." He said with a soft laugh.

Cyndel 07-12-2008 04:01 AM

Nanashi smiled slightly at Aamori and then looked after her when she started to the kitchen. He didn't know what was bothering her, though he guessed she must have a little blood on her hand from touching Celestine's face. Maybe she just didn't like blood. He looked back to LaRae again and smiled weakly to her. "...Well...I still think you look nice... I'm glad I got to see you like this." he said with a soft laugh, "I doubt I will have the pleasure of seeing you dressed up again."

Celestine glanced down to Nobu for a moment and shook his head slightly as he pushed the door to his room open. "....It stings a little..." he said quietly. He was still bleeding a little as well, though not badly. There was just one or two areas that had gotten cut worse than the rest. He sighed and just went to crawl into the bed, not even bothering to change clothes first; he just curled up on the mattress and closed his eyes. He didn't even feel like covering himself up.

Hikari nodded slightly and let out a soft chuckle. "Well, of course he would." she said simply, "And yes, I am glad that we have some idea...but its just bothering me that we don't know a little more... And it's bothering me even more that I can't remember about those eyes..." she said, crossing her arms. "It's a species of dragon, I know that much because Celestine obviously has some in his blood line..." she went quiet still thinking, "...Wait a minute..." she stopped walking and her eyes widened slightly. "A hydra! Hydras have golden pupils. A pure blooded hydra is pretty rare to come across nowadays, but there are still some out there..." She shook her head, "Oh boy..." she muttered under her breath, looking a little more worried now as she crossed her arms over her chest again. She looked back up to Kyran again. "...Hydras are some of the most poisonous creatures in all of Arienh... even one bite from a hydra can kill even a full grown dragon!"

Yotsy 07-12-2008 05:06 AM

Aamori leaned over the sink once she had the water on and stuck her hand under the stream and let the water wash the blood away. She heaved a heavy sigh and looked at her hand for a moment before she started vigorously rubbing her hands together. She couldn't help it now, she didn't see any blood on her hands anymore but after thinking about killing that human again without even meaning to she couldn't seem to get the picture from her mind. The whole thing that happened that day really did bother her, but so much had gone on since then that she'd practically forgotten about it. She was still rubbing her hands together for a few minutes later before she paused and looked down at them again and realized that she'd nearly rubbed them raw because she wasn't paying attention. She reached over and shut the water off before standing up straight again. She then started to dry her hands off on her skort as best she could. She couldn't really explain why it bothered her so badly, after all they were just stupid human hunters and they got what they deserved for trying to hunt her. The only explanation she could come up with was that she'd never killed a person before, she'd been trained to but never actually done it. She shook her head trying to force the thoughts out as she leaned back lightly against the counter.

LaRae glanced over at Nanashi when he started talking and smiled slightly. "...Thank you... for all the.. compliments." She said lightly. She looked away briefly when he said he doubted he'd see her dressed up again. She did kind of believe that. If she had a choice in what she was wearing she'd sooner go for what she was comfortable in, rather then take the time to dress nice. "...If there are any other women out there like Sonia who can get their hands on me.. I'm sure you'll see this sight again.." She commented with a slight chuckle.

Nobu just nodded his head a little and followed Celestine into his room once he'd pushed the door open. He walked over to the bed and waited until Celestine had gotten in before climbing up himself and laying down beside him.

Kyran glanced over at Hikari when she went quiet and was thinking. A species of dragon? If that's the case then he should know a little on the subject at least because he'd studied most dragons. He stopped walking when he realized that she had stopped and turned to look back at her. "A Hydra? Like from myth?" He questioned, obviously a little skeptical. He didn't know any specifics on what hyrda's looked like or their eyes for that matter but he did know a little about them. He walked back over to her, since he'd stopped ahead of her and looked down at her. "...I didn't think any of them were still around." He said with only a faint hint of worry to his voice. He gave a heavy sigh. "If that is the case, and it really is a Hydra then at least we know what we're getting ourselves into." He paused and looked at her trying to reassure her that it'd be fine. "...We do have an advantage if we know what we're going to run into and with Hyra's being so poisonous, we'll just have to be prepared to take it on from a distance."

Cyndel 07-12-2008 05:50 AM

Nanashi laughed softly and shook his head slightly. "...You're welcome..." he said softly before stepping back again. He looked over toward the couch and smiled, "Well...do you want to go sit down?" he asked softly. He chuckled softly at what she said about the clothes. "...Well...I can't say that I wouldn't look forward to it." he said lightly.

Celestine just lay there for a moment before reaching over to wrap his arms around Nobu's neck while he cuddled his face against his fur lightly. After that it really wasn't long at all before he was fast asleep.

Hikari looked up to Kyran again and sighed. "...I guess it's a good thing that I know how to use a bow..." she said quietly, "But even still, I doubt arrows would do a while lot. I'm just going to hope I'm thinking too much into this and that I'm wrong." she said, shaking her head slightly. She finally started to move forward again, keeping her arms crossed over her chest. Once they neared the house again she sighed softly and lowered her arms to her sides again. "Wonder if Celestine already went to bed..."

Yotsy 07-12-2008 06:32 AM

Kyran gave a slight nod as he listened to Hikari before they started walking again. "There is always that possibility that you could be wrong." He paused. "Then again I don't think you've been wrong about anything thus far." He commented quietly. When they reached the house the first thing he thought to look for was Nobu. He wasn't really surprised to not see him on the porch after what Marius had said. He wondered if maybe he hadn't seen Nobu last night after all. He shrugged lightly. It didn't really matter, he just didn't usually let Nobu into someone else's house uninvited; Obviously Celestine had invited Nobu inside so it was alright. He glanced back over at Hikari for a moment before starting for the door. "I'd be surprised if he's still awake, he looked like he was ready to pass out at any moment."

[[haha.. mini time skip of doom!... okay not really..]]

Aamori wound up convincing herself to leave the house for a little while, just to get away from everyone and be by herself for a while. She knew that she must have looked like something was bothering her and the last thing she wanted was someone to ask her what was wrong. She'd feel silly trying to explain it to anyone; After all what type of dragon felt guilty for killing a hunter? It was later now, evening to be precise. She'd gone out and ended up at the bridge for most of the day, sitting right beside it with her feet in the river. Surprisingly enough she actually didn't bother going out to the lake. She really didn't want to end up with another set of starwart thorns in her, God only knows where they'd wind up this time.

Nero came back to the house sometime after lunch and ended up sitting on the porch much like he had the day before.

Nobu was still laying in bed with Celestine. He'd barely moved a muscle the entire time just because he didn't want to chance waking him. He had finally fallen asleep himself, at least for a little while and was just starting to wake back up.

LaRae was sitting on the couch. She gave a soft sigh finally thinking that her clothes must have been washed by now. She'd spent more then enough time in this dress and wanted to get back into her regular clothes. She stood up from the couch and looked over at Nanashi. "I'll be back..." She said as she started back into the kitchen. Thankfully she didn't have to hunt Sonia down. She moved over to the counter and stood there for a moment before looking at Sonia and opening her mouth. "...By chance are my clothes clean now?" She asked quietly.

Cyndel 07-12-2008 06:56 AM

Hikari had gotten fairly quiet once they got back into the house again. She was still hoping that this time would be the grand exception where she was way off track. She ended up spending most of the rest of the day sitting on the living room sofa staring at the floor, apparently deep in thought. She was trying to remember if there was anything else that she could remember about the hydra or if she could figure out anything else about that dream Celestine had, but she was drawing a blank.

Celestine was still up in his room fast asleep. He'd managed to sleep right through lunch and dinner without being disturbed or without someone coming up to bother him. He was really quite content where he was and could probably stay there a while longer if nothing bothered him.

Kanone had come down long enough to eat dinner and then disappeared right back upstairs into his room where he was currently just laying there staring up at the ceiling silently, debating on whether or not he wanted to chance looking for Aamori or not. He didn't really feel like getting wet again.

Nanashi had made himself quite comfortable on the couch after eating and was actually starting to doze off a bit. He looked up again when LaRae spoke and smiled slightly. "Oh...okay." he said simply before leaning his head back again.

Sonia was still standing in the kitchen washing dishes when LaRae came in. She looked over to her and paused for a moment before laying the plate that she was washing down with a smile. "Yes, dear, they're all clean and hanging out back on the clothes line, though...I'm not positive they're dry yet." she admitted. "If you'd like you can go check."

Yotsy 07-12-2008 07:28 AM

Kyran ended up all over the place in the living room for the earlier part of the afternoon. He spent some time wandering around, sitting on the bench, near the couch and finally on the floor near his blades. His mind was completely boggled while he was trying to think about the earlier topic. He was sitting on the floor with one leg propped up, his back to the wall and his arm draped across his knee. His head was even tilted down like he was staring at the ground but he'd managed to fall asleep sometime during the day. He hadn't slept all that well the night before and when it came down to it he just couldn't keep his eyes open.

LaRae gave a slight nod. She could only hope they were dry; Well even if they weren't she was still tempted to change. She only stood there for a moment longer before she started to walk away, headed outside. "...Thank you for washing them." She said lightly before she continued straight outside. She wasted very little time getting out back to the clothes line. Though once she got there she wasn't all that surprised when she felt her jeans and they still felt a little damp. "...Of course..." She muttered quietly as she started to move her hand over check her shirt. She gave a heavy sigh; Why was everything working against her today?

Aamori gave a heavy sigh as she continued to sit with her feet in the water. She was staring down at her feet, watching the water running over them. She'd had a lot of trouble forcing out the thoughts that were bothering her and every time she looked down at her hands and noticed the raw areas she only thought about it all over again. What happened couldn't really have been helped but she was still a little bothered because she hadn't meant to do what she did and yet when she was in that type of situation she couldn't help herself. She grumbled quietly. Why couldn't there have been some sort of preparation training for how to deal with actually killing someone? She finally just let herself fall back on the ground and she stared up at the sky noticing now that it was past the dinner hour. She'd been out here for awhile now and hadn't even realized the time. She gave another sigh and shut her eyes gently.

Cyndel 07-12-2008 07:54 AM

Sonia smiled brightly at LaRae before she got out of the kitchen and nodded slightly. "Don't mention it, dear." She told her brightly before she went back to finishing up the dishes. She'd hung the laundry out a good while ago, so even if it wasn't completely dry it should be getting there in a hurry.

Kanone finally sighed and pushed himself out of the bed before straightening out his clothes and hair a little. He moved to the bedroom door and finally headed downstairs, glancing around the living room briefly before slipping outside again and heading down toward the stream. He had a feeling that was the best place to start looking if he waned to find Aamori. He smiled as he drew closer and saw her sitting at the edge of the water. Slowly, he creped up behind her and grabbed onto her shoulders "Hey, whatcha doin!?" he asked quickly before giving off a soft laugh and letting her go again.
