Aamori was more then a little surprised to hear that it was a boy. She quirked a brow as she continued to look up at him; Placing a hand on her hip. "If you're supposed to be a boy then you should chop off your hair" She paused placing the index finger of her other hand on her chin in thought. "Oh! and bet some new clothes... you look like you're in a dress" She smirked, should be look down at her again she planned on sticking her tongue out at him.

LaRae was caught off guard when he put his other arm around her shoulders; Regardless of the topic her cheeks were light pink. She took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. She didn't think he'd catch onto what she was purposely forgetting to mention; He had and she felt worse now. She didn't want anyone worrying about what could happen to her. It was her Clan's way of working after all so very little could be done about it. She let her golden eyes trail off to look at him for a moment before she lowered her head back to her knees. "It's just how things work with my Clan" She paused "I wasn't supposed to know any of this, I just... happened to over hear it" She sighed heavily "...So as I'm sure you can imagine, I want this journey to last forever..."

Cyndel 02-28-2008 05:37 AM

He glared down at her and growled quietly. "I am not changing my appearance because you are not observant enough to realize that I do not have a woman's body." When she stuck her tongue out at him he rolled his eyes. "Very mature..." He grumbled before leaning back again. "Go to bed already, I have nothing to say to you." He closed his eyes again and sighed. He really wasn't going to be able to stand that girl if she didn't take to bugging someone else.

Nanashi looked down at her silently and nodded, but he gave her shoulders another gentle squeeze and nuzzled against her. "...Yeah..." he said quietly, pulling back to look at her again. "...LaRae... if there's anything i can do... let me know." He said softly. "...This trip will...last for a while... I'm sure we can think of something..." He said earnestly, "We'll have to..." He doubted that he could ever let her go home without a huge fuss not knowing what awaited her there.

Yotsy 02-28-2008 05:54 AM

She huffed and glared up towards him. "Okay Mr. Grumpy... How many times have you been mistaken for a woman?" She now had both hands on her hips with a smirk "I bet it's been a lot hasn't it? Can all those people be wrong about you looking like a girl?" She paused laughing softly "I doubt it"

LaRae just sat there; It was nice having someone to talk to outside of her Clan and it was even better that he was being so nice to her about it all. She gave a sigh "Unfortunately if I can't do anything, I doubt you'll be able to either..." This was a very touchy subject and it took everything she had to keep a straight face and keep the tears at bay. Her tail flicked about a few times before dropping to the ground again. "...If you ever think of a way to defy Elders without being hunted and killed... let me know.." Her attitude was so depressing; She had no amount of hope left in her. She was faithful to her clan regardless of how they worked so half of her had already accepted the impending doom.

Cyndel 02-28-2008 06:06 AM

He growled again and rolled into his side before sitting up again. "You are very irritating." He told her with a glare. "I do not care what you people think, after this slave drive is over I will not be seeing any of you again anyway if I have any say in it." He rolled onto his side with his back facing her, trying to give her the hint to leave.

Nanashi sighed softly, "...Well...I'm here." he said quietly. He pushed his fingers back through her hair gently, moving it away from her face so that he had a clearer view of her features. "...I will be thinking." he promised her. "...What if...you don't go back? You would not be in their way...what would they need to come after you for?" He asked quietly, "You could...stay with me." He suggested unsurely, "I know I...I don't really have a place but... well moving around isn't too bad..."

Yotsy 02-28-2008 06:30 AM

Aamori got the hint alright but she wasn't going to leave that easily. She stood up straight and her hands slid down from her hips. The tone in her voice would change, to something more stern and a lot less like a child. The whole sound of her voice would be more adult sounding and it would echo nearly every word that fell from her lips. Her blue eyes narrowed and she stared up at him, only seeing his back "You know what, get your panties out of your ass and get used to the fact that you're stuck with people other than your pathetic excuse for self being" She lifted her arms up and crossed them one over the other in front of her chest. It must have seemed like a switch went off and she suddenly went from cute little seven year old to mouthy adult in no time at all.

LaRae smiled faintly at his attempts to brighten the mood but shook her head softly "I'm considered Earth Clan property, like all Earth dragons. I would be hunted down if I didn't return after the mission" She paused "As nice an offer as that is Nanashi, I can not take you up on that..." She of course referred to staying with him. "I would be considered a run away; The other Clans would be informed and then if anyone saw me and recognized me..." She sighed "Well... you know... They'd turn me in" She finally looked over at him with her golden eyes and didn't look away this time. "I've thought about all of this since I found out the truth..."

Cyndel 02-28-2008 07:01 AM

Celestine's ears laid back slightly in irritation and he glared over his shoulder at her. "My pathetic excuse of self being prefers to be left alone. What does it matter to you whether or not I have a social life? I don't care how many people are on this miserable planet, I do not have to subject myself to them." He said levelly before turning back around, though his tail thrashed in agitation. "Go bother someone else."

Nanashi's ears drooped and he sighed, looking back at her. His ruby eyes stared back into her sadly before dropping away. Right now, he looked closer to crying than she did. She was the first dragon in a long time to ever speak to him like he was an equal, and the first...probably ever to invite him to do something with her. In the span of a day she had gotten him to trust her more than anyone else he knew on the plant....and now this. He closed his eyes after a moment and just wrapped his arms around her again without saying a word and held on, hooking his chin over her shoulder and leaning his head against hers. "...I'm sorry..." he said quietly. That was all that he knew to say.

Yotsy 02-28-2008 07:18 AM

Aamori's tail flicked from side to side for a moment before she took a deep breath, then it rested back at her feet. "You little boy need to get off you're high horse" She paused "You are going to have to subject yourself to at least the six of us, especially if you do plan on never seeing us again" She smirked while she thought of something "Oh, and I suppose I could just take my time in my territory that way I'll be sure to prolong you suffering"

LaRae was a bit surprised when he wrapped his arms around her; more so when he didn't appear to be letting go either. She smiled this time and meant it. She lifted her hand up and rested it on his arm gently. "It'll be okay..." She mumbled trying to believe the words that just came out of her mouth. She sighed softly trying to think of something a little less depressing and failed miserably "Just think... If I'd kept walking this morning, you wouldn't have been subject to any of this..."

Cyndel 02-28-2008 07:33 AM

He sighed and just closed his eyes, "Do what you want. Let the god break free for all I care." He finally stood up and walked to the edge of the roof and then hopped off, gently flapping his feathered wings once before landing light on the ground. Once bot feet were firmly planted he folded his wings tightly against his back again and then turned toward the door. "Good night." He said firmly before pushing the door open and stepping inside and abruptly closing it behind him. He sighed as he looked around the tiny room and then moved over to the bed.

Nanashi shook his head slightly. "...You did not force me to come..." he said softly, "I came on my own... I'm...I'm glad that I did. I finally...made a friend." he mumbled, his voice on the verge of wavering. "...Thank you." He pulled back just enough to look at her with those sad red eyes. "...Really." He leaned forward and very lightly brushed his lips against her cheek the way that she'd done him earlier. "I'm glad to have me you."

Yotsy 02-28-2008 07:51 AM

Aamori just stared at the door when he shut it and shook her head laughing softly "Oh yeah... That was real mature" Her voice still echoed; She was poking fun at the mature remark he had made previously. She finally uncrossed her arms and stretched them over her head, then dropped them to her sides and started to walk away. As she walked she thought about going to bed, she would need to get up early tomorrow. She sighed and headed back to her hut to go to sleep.

LaRae smiled and it quickly turned into a smirk "You made a friend? How come I've never met your friend?" She looked at him when he started to pull away surprised to see the expression in his eyes. She didn't think she even looked that sad. She blushed heavily when she felt his lips to her cheek, again something she had not expected. "...I'm happy I met you too..." She stuttered looking away from him.

Cyndel 02-28-2008 08:06 AM

He shook his head, hearing her voice from outside. He was fairly certain that closing a door on someone who could not take the hint that you were finished talking was a bit more mature than sticking your tongue out at someone like a child. He would give it about fifteen minutes, when he was certain that she'd given up and left, and then go back outside and flutter back to the rooftop to lay down again. For some reason, he was not comfortable at all being surrounded on all four sides. He preferred being in the open.

Nanashi was a little surprised that LaRae didn't realize that's he'd meant her, though he did not realize that she was joking. He tended to take some things a bit too literally. When she looked away from him again he sighed softly and then lowered his head slightly. "...Sorry." He said quietly when he realized that he was making her uncomfortable. He backed up again, giving her her space. "...It's getting late... Kyran wants to get going first thing in the morning... you should get some rest." He said with a weak smile. He held his hand out to her after he stood up and waited.

Yotsy 02-28-2008 08:25 AM

LaRae looked up at his extended hand "You have nothing to apologise for" She stated reaching out, taking his hand and then standing up straight. She looked up at the sky one last time, seeing just how late it had become and sighed softly "I nearly forgot... First thing?" She shook her head lightly with a faint smile on her face "I'm no morning person..." She glanced over at Nanashi for a moment "I guess I'll go ahead and go to sleep then" Her tail swayed back and forth behind her as she dropped her eyes towards the ground. She moved closer to him and wrapped her arms gently around his torso and hugged him, resting her head on him. "I'm glad you consider me your friend..."

Cyndel 02-28-2008 08:35 AM

Nanashi smiled slightly, "I will come and knock if I need to." He said with a soft laugh, "I will be up, I am fairly sure..." he blinked when she hugged him and then smiled slightly as he raised his own arms to wrap around her. "...Why wouldn't I?" He asked softly. She was kinder to him that anyone else had been...well maybe Hikari, but LaRae was there first. He made that song purring sound for just a second as he laid his head against hers. "Goodnight." He said quietly, the purr dying off when he spoke since he couldn't do both at once. He released her and then glanced toward the gate, unsure really of where he was supposed to stay. He guessed he would just see where LaRae went and then find his place afterwards.

Yotsy 02-28-2008 08:52 AM

"...Thank you" She laughed softly "I may need that wake-up call.." She looked at him when he looked towards the gate and figured he wasn't sure where he was supposed to go from here. She smiled softly and pointed towards a nearby hut. It was the Light hut she believed, "Those huts... There are seven of them here equally parted along the main wall. They each have placards with clan names above the doors, and enough room in each hut to sleep two" She lowered her hand to her side, turned and started to walk towards her hut. She stopped after a few steps and looked back at him with a smile "Oh, and I'll be in the hut next to Aamori of the Water. If you need me for anything, just let me know" With that she continued on until she reached her hut. She looked up and over at the one next to it and gave a disgruntled sigh seeing that it read "Dark" She slipped into her hut quietly and got into her bed, wrapping the blanket around her; Getting comfortable.

Cyndel 02-29-2008 12:13 AM

Nanashi nodded when LaRae pointed him in the right direction and smiled slightly. "Alright... thank you." He said softly before follow her toward the huts, though when she stopped he did as well. "Okay..." He said softy. After she went to her hut he stood there for a moment, looking around. Dark, Earth, Water, Light... the one that said Fire was just on the other side of Hikari's hut before Wind. He started forward, glancing down at the last two huts and tilting his head when he saw the Wind dragon asleep on the roof. That one really seemed a bit odd to him, but possibly likable given the chance. He finally stepped into his hut and closed the door securely before going over to the bed. He curled up tightly and pulled the covers over him. He hadn't realized just how tired he was until he was in the bed and comfortable. Within a few minutes he was already asleep where as usually it took him hours to fall asleep at night. This was the first time that he'd slept in a real bed in quite a while.

Yotsy 02-29-2008 02:07 AM

Morning seemed to come rather quickly and Kyran rolled over, then sat up in bed with a heavy sigh as he reached up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. He had sat up for sometime in bed thinking about the journey before him, and the others. Contemplating a possible route to a quick finish, with very little luck. This was going to be like finding a needle in a hay stack while being attacked by vicious dogs. He had no idea what they we're going to be looking for and where; Being told he'd know what it was when he found it wasn't very reassuring. Kryan finally stood up, his tail stretched straight behind him and then curled back up. He reluctantly went to the door of his hut and opened it, the bright morning sun flooded into the hut and he rose a hand to shield his eyes. He slowly exited the hut and stood in front of it, looking around seeing how many of them were awake already.

Aamori was already awake, just as she said she would be. She had been sitting down outside of her hut on the ground playing with the bottom of her shirt; stroking the fabric between her finger tips. She looked up, brushing her pale blue hair from her face when she felt a slight breeze shoot past her face. It reminded her some of the winds by the ocean and it made her smile softly.

LaRae was still fast asleep inside of her own hut, sprawled out on the bed. If anything she knew how to relax and let loose when asleep. The sun had not made it's way into her hut so she wouldn't wake up easily. She also didn't get a lot of sleep when at home, she was always woken up early to help around the house. She was really enjoying this longer then usual sleep she was getting.

Nero was awake as well, but he had not left his hut yet. He was inside sitting up on the bed with his back against the wall in a meditative state. He was dreading this upcoming journey with the other six dragons. He grumbled as he kept his eyes shut trying to make the best of this situation in his mind, at least.

Cyndel 02-29-2008 02:45 AM

The Wind dragon was still stretched out on the roof of his hut with his eyes closed. His tail flicked back and forth gently, signaling that he was indeed awake. The scales on his tail glimmered slightly in the light as he rested. He took a deep breath when the breeze blew through his hair, pushing his bangs around his face. For a moment, just below the hairline over his left eye was a large star-shaped scar on his forehead. He raised a hand to push his bangs back over it, hiding it once again.

Hikari was already out and about as well. She had gotten up at the crack of dawn and was already standing outside. She'd changed clothes as well into something that looked a bit more suitable for travel. Now she was only wearing a pair of white shirts trimmed in blue and a matching tunic. She wore a leather belt around her waist with a small bag attached to it near the back. Now that the long silky leggings weren't covering her boots, you could see that they came up to her mid-thighs. Her long waving silver hair was tied back in a loose ponytail and she had a bow draped over her shoulder...it looked as if that was the same one that Ishta had been carrying the day before.

Nanashi was still dead asleep on the bed. He had anticipated being up early before he realized that he had a really comfortable bed to sleep in instead of the hard, cold ground. It was much easier to sleep when comfortable, and right now he was catching up on all of the hours that he'd missed lately.

Yotsy 02-29-2008 03:14 AM

Kyran had started to walk around, passing by the different huts. He was surprised to see that even a couple of them seemed to be awake. The Wind dragon, Aamori and finally he stopped when he saw Hikari was awake too. He smiled softly and walked up to her "Good morning, how'd you sleep?" He was hoping that a little conversation with her would be distracting; He was tired of racking his brain about these relics and the journey.

Aamori had looked at Kyran when he walked past her hut. Seeing as he didn't make eye contact with her, she figured he wasn't ready to leave yet. She didn't mind though, it gave her time to relax and enjoy the sun and the chilled breeze. This journey was going to be long, and probably very tense for the first couple weeks. She sighed softly wearing a soft smile. Thinking about the trip, she couldn't wait until she got to go home. She really missed the water.

Cyndel 02-29-2008 03:36 AM

Hikari looked over to Kyran when he approached her and smiled brightly. "Good morning. I slept very well..once it was quiet." she assured him with a soft chuckle and then smiled softly. Ishta had indeed cornered her and talked to her for a good three hours or so, telling her not to do this that, or the other and trying to make sure that she was well prepared. Ishta had already been ready to go on the trip since she had also assumed that it may be her that had to go, but when it wasn't she gave all of her things to Hikari, including the outfit that she was now wearing. It was much less attention drawing than the one she'd worn before, and more common looking. "How did you sleep?" she asked brightly, "You still look a little tired..."

The wind dragon kept his eyes closed, enjoying the wind. A few moments later his ears twitched as he heard bird's cry. He opened his eyes and looked at the sky, smiling slightly as he watched a relatively small golden eagle soar overhead. He sat up on the roof and put his fingers to his lips, whistling in two shrill bursts that sounded almost identical to the bird's cry. The eagle answered and then started to swoop down, handing on the dragon's outstretched arm. He winced a little as her talons pricked his arm, but simply raised his other hand to stroke her golden brown feathers. "You followed me all the way here, Lani?" He asked the bird, chuckling slightly as she tilted her head and cawed at him again. At least it seemed that he got along with something.

Yotsy 02-29-2008 03:44 AM

Kyran sighed softly "I was up for most of the night, trying to think of where to start on this whole trip..." He paused crossing his arms gently and putting all of his weight on one side. "I don't exactly know where to start and the Elder didn't give me very much insight" He sighed dropping his shoulders in a defeated manor. "Oh... by the way" He paused and smiled slightly "Nice clothes"

Cyndel 02-29-2008 04:01 AM

Hikari smiled again and laughed softly at his comment about her clothes. "Ha ha, you can thank Ishta for these." she said, tugging at the edge of the shirt, "Really...you'd never know, would you?" she said with a smile. With her bangs down over her forehead, it was near impossible to tell that she was a royal from that outfit. Even with the gen revealed it would be a little hard to believe. She looked back up to him with a gentle smile and then sighed softly, moving forward to give him a gentle hug. "I'm sorry, Kyran... I wish I knew what to tell you or where to point you." she said honestly, "You know I would if I knew... But I know you will find you way." she said as she looked up at him, a confident smile on her face. "You'll do fine."

Yotsy 02-29-2008 04:13 AM

Kyran was surprised by the hug but accepted it with a smile "I just can't wait until the Thunder territory is done and over with and one of the rest of you have to be in my shoes" He laughed softly. "Well, I guess we should probably start getting ready to go..." He paused looking up at the sky for a moment "Though... to where I have no idea"

Aamori had finally picked herself up off the ground and made her way over to Kyran and Hikari. She smiled softly having walked up just as he said they should get going soon. "It's about time, I've been awake and waiting since the sun rose" She stated in a pleasant child-like voice. She had changed herself back to the young voice and way she acted rather then the adult version of herself that crept out last night while talking with the Wind dragon. Her tail swayed back and forth behind her as she looked around briefly "So.. where is everyone else? Should I go wake them all up?"

Nero pushed himself to the edge of his bed and stood up "..." He walked over to the door and opened it, shielding his eyes from the sun as he exited his hut. He didn't bother moving very far and rested his back against the wall of his hut; Crossed his arms and lowered his head. His tail had draped itself around his feet. He clearly was in no hurry to start this mission they had been given, he wished there was a way out of this.

Cyndel 02-29-2008 04:23 AM

Hikari laughed softly, "Thanks a lot, Kyran." she said playfully. Quite honestly, she was about as lost as he was as to where to start in her own territory. She looked over to Aamori when she approached them and smiled slightly, "I suppose that would not hurt." Hear ears twitched as she looked back after hearing the door to the Dark dragon's hut open. "Well, it seems we are only missing two." She half smiled, realizing which two it was. She could see why both of them could be tired.

The Wind dragon looked over as he noticed the group starting to gather near Hikari's hut. He sighed and looked down, his ears lowering slightly. After a moment he lowered his arm a little and then thrust it up again, signaling for the eagle perched there to take off. Once the bird was in the air again he sighed and stood up, reluctantly hopping off of the roof and moving in that general direction, though he didn't get too close. Especially not with that annoying water dragon over there.

Yotsy 02-29-2008 04:52 AM

Kyran turned slightly to look at Aamori who had walked up "Since you know LaRae pretty well why don't you go and wake her up, okay?" He asked then turned back to Hikari; Out of the corner of his eye noticing the Wind dragon make his way over but kept his distance. He lifted up his hand and motioned for the dragon to come over to them "You've yet to introduce yourself" He stated realizing that he didn't know the young dragon's name and he was sure the dragon knew his and Hikari's from listening to the Elder.

Aamori lifted her hand to her forehead to salute him again and then turned on her heel and started to run away; Headed for LaRae's hut. She came to an abrupt stop when she reached the desired hut, receiving an odd stare from Nero who happened to look up when he heard someone running. She simply smiled and went to knock on the door but stopped. She smirked and proceeded to force the door open "LaRae! It's time to get up sleepy head!"

Nero's eyes widened hearing the small water dragon practically yell in order to wake the other girl. He lowered his head and to be frank, nervously pushed himself off the wall of the hut and started to walk away slowly. That was one type of wake-up call he was never looking forward to getting. Nero headed towards the place everyone else was gathering; Much like the Wind dragon he stood a good distance away from everyone else.

LaRae's ears perked up when she heard the door swing open; The loud, nearly piercing yell of her friend surprised her and she jumped falling right off the bed and hit the ground face first with her butt in the air. Her tail flicked around angrily as she pushed herself up with her hands and glared back at Aamori "...You didn't have to wake me like that..." She muttered as she stumbled to her feet, then began to dust herself off.

Cyndel 02-29-2008 05:07 AM

Hikari smiled slightly, watching Aamori walk away and then looked over to the Wind dragon when Kyran spoke to her. She smiled brightly and motioned as well.
He moved forward about two steps and then crossed his arms. "...What does that matter?" He asked flatly.
Hikari smiled weakly and shook her head. "Oh come on now... We can't go the whole way calling you 'Miss' or 'hey, you.'" she said lightly.
His eyes narrowed and his tail flicked. "My name..." He said slowly in a very agitated voice, "is Celstine."
Hikari's eyes widened slightly and her cheeks turned pink as she covered her mouth. "Oh! You're a boy." she said, genuinely surprised. "I'm sorry, I thought...well..."
Celestine huffed and just looked away. "Forget it." He wasn't really in the mood to start up again this morning.

Hikari jumped when she suddenly heard Aamori shout at LaRae and then sighed. She glanced back and raised an eyebrow. "...Maybe someone else should wake Nanashi..." she said with a soft laugh. She blinked when she noticed the Dark dragon come a little closer and smiled politely at him.

Yotsy 02-29-2008 05:34 AM

Kyran was surprised too when the wind dragon said he was a male. At first glance he really did think he was a she. He looked back to Hikari after the shrill of Aamori's call to LaRae and laughed softly "I doubt I'll ask her to wake anyone, ever again" He paused "And I think you're right, someone else should wake up Nanashi. How about you do it Hikari? I don't want to startle him" He would've added to that too that he didn't trust either of the other two dragons here to wake him up in a nice manor.

Aamori frowned "Aww come on LaRae, I used to always wake you up like that; What's the big deal?" She walked closer to LaRae and looked up at her friend with wide eyes "You have dirt on your face" She laughed softly poking LaRae on the nose. "You should wash up!"

LaRae glared down at Aamori when she poked her nose and went to swat her hand away. "It's been nearly ten years since then, a lot has changed" She paused lifting her for arm up and wiping it across her face; Only making the dirt more visible. "Apparently though, in ten years time you have not changed at all..." She spat lowering her arm and looking at Aamori "Is the dirt gone?"

Aamori bit her lip trying to keep herself from laughing when she saw just how much worse the dirt marks had spread. "Yep! It's all gone, not a spot left on you" She was laughing hard on the inside at just how funny LaRae looked. She smiled softly, her eyes changed to a darker blue and her voice started to echo again "For your information I have grown up. I just don't like how everything I say echos; And I prefer my pleasant child-like self" She stated in a very grown up manor before blinking, her eyes changed back to the light sparkly blue and her voice went back to normal. She then stuck her tongue out at LaRae. "I was asked to come wake you up, everyone else is already waiting on us"

LaRae was a little startled by the change in her friends voice, and her eyes. How strange. She smiled softly "My mistake, it has been years but I'm actually not all that surprised that you'd rather act like you did when you were seven" She nodded hearing that everyone else was waiting on them, but quirked a brow slightly wondering why Nanashi didn't wake her like he said he would. She shrugged "Alright, then lets get going" She pushed Aamori towards the door and pulled it shut behind her. She walked behind Aamori who lead her back over to where everyone else was waiting. Oblivious to the dirt that was rubbed into her face.
