Hikari looked over to Kyran and nodded. "Alright, I'll get on that." she said lightly as she walked over to the hut down from hers. She knocked lightly on the door. "Nanashi? Are you awake?" She waited a few moments and then knocked a little harder. "Nanashi?" Still no answer. "Hmm... He sleeps like a log." she muttered under her breath as she finally opened the door. She stepped inside and smiled slightly when she saw him snuggled into the mattress. She almost hated to wake him, but she walked up to him anyway. "Nanashi..." She said softly, gently shaking his shoulder.

Nanashi startled and rolled turned his head when Hikari touched him, but he relaxed a bit when he saw who it was. He blinked tiredly and sat up, rubbing his eyes to clear them. "...Is it morning?..." He asked, glancing toward the door.
"Yes, it is. Time to get going. Are you ready?" she asked with a smile.
"Mmm..." he muttered, standing slowly. He walked to the door, blinking repeatedly and lowering his head against the sunlight. He was ready to go wake up LaRae, but he blinked when he saw her already there. He stared at her for a moment and tilted his head. "...Why are you covered in dirt?"

Hikari followed him out and smiled slightly as she walked back over to Kyran and stood where she'd been before. She blinked when she saw LaRae and smiled, trying not to laugh.

Celestine stood there silently, backing off a little more once Aamori and LaRae came back. He huffed quietly and closed his eyes as he waited to get a move on.

Yotsy 02-29-2008 06:05 AM

LaRae's face went beat red when she heard Nanashi ask about the dirt on her face, that quickly changed though when she heard Aamori break out into uncontrollable laughter. She turned to her friend with an evil glare in her eyes, she balled up her fist and punched Aamori hard in her shoulder "You told me I got all the dirt off!" Having them all see her this way and her none the wiser embarrassed the hell out of her but she was more angry that Aamori tricked her. She growled lightly under her breath as her eyes narrowed slightly "...You're so helping me clean my face"

Aamori stumbled back a few steps and grabbed her arm after LaRae's fist made contact; She frowned "Hey... That was uncalled for..." She mumbled. She held her shoulder for a moment longer and then dropped her hands and cupped them with a sigh "Fine... I'll help out.." She continued to mumble in a sad tone as her hands started to glow a faint blue hue as she recited a spell in ancient tongues. After the aura subsided her hands were full of water and she held them up so LaRae could wash her face off. She smirked as soon as LaRae stepped closer to wash off the dirt. The water started to swirl around in her hands, then she flattened her hands and turned them towards LaRae the water sat tightly in a ball and then she thrust the ball with her energy and caused it to spray with the power of a river directly at LaRae. It hit her friend directly in the face, causing her to lose her balance and fall down; Soaked. "...oops?" Aamori couldn't help but burst out laughing again when she dropped her hands to her sides.

Cyndel 02-29-2008 06:18 AM

Nanashi blinked when Aamori knocked LaRae over with the water and looked at her with a raised eyebrow. With friends like that...who needs enemies? His eyes went back to LaRae and he walked over and held his hand out to her with a weak smile. "Well...you're clean." he said simply.

Hikari blinked and then laughed softly, shaking her head, "Alright, you two. Enough horsing around." She said lightly, "We need to get moving." She said, glancing back to Kyran as if seeking confirmation. She wondered if he'd ever thought of a place to start yet, but she didn't ask.

Celestine watched Aamori and shook his head. This girl was a bigger kid than he was... he was fairly certain that at 16 he was the youngest of the group... but he had a feeling that he was going be the one acting older than half of them. Idiots...

Yotsy 02-29-2008 06:40 AM

LaRae coughed and looked up to see Nanashi's hand, she reached up and took it; Quickly getting to her feet. She was dripping wet from the amount of water Aamori used, it was going to take awhile for her to dry completely. She sighed heavily and reached for her hair and started to wring it out "...I may be clean but I don't think I asked for a shower.." She mumbled as she watched the water drip from her hair. She looked up at Aamori and shook her head softly "I should've seen that coming... She used to do that to me all the time when we were younger"

Aamori finally stopped laughing just about the time Hikari said that was enough. She made a pout lip at Hikari "It was all in good fun... Mother" Aamori started to chuckle softly. She wasn't going to do anything else, she'd had her fun for the time being; She always did hate having someone tell her to stop though.

Kyran shook his head and laughed softly. "We should probably get going, as much as I'd rather sit here all day" He paused "I still don't have any idea where to start..." He brought his hands up and placed them behind his head and looked up at the sky. "The Elder said to look somewhere we wouldn't usually go..." He said the last sentence more or less to himself as he tried to think one last time of a place to start. The words the Elder spoke rang in his ears a few more times before he remembered that the mini forests were sacred ground and very few people every stepped foot in them. "...Could that be what he meant?" He asked aloud as he lowered his hands back to his sides. "Hmm..."

Cyndel 02-29-2008 06:56 AM

Nanashi pulled LaRae up and smiled slightly. "Haha. Well, you're very clean, then." He couldn't help but laugh a little and then backed up slightly. He probably could have used the soaking more than LaRae. He was covered in dust from traveling so much without a place to take a decent bath. He could wash in in a river or creek or something when he came across one, but otherwise, he was out of luck.

Hikari laughed at Aamori's 'mother' comment, "Hey, I already have to babysit one child, I don't need another one." She said playfully, referring to her little sister. At least she had a good sense of humor. She looked back to Kyran when he started talking again, tilting her head slightly at the last statement. "...Could what be what he meant?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.

Celestine eyed Kyran for a moment and then sighed quietly, shifting positions uncomfortably. He just wanted to get moving and get this over with. "If you have an idea...just go with it. It beats standing here thinking too hard. Just follow your instincts." That usually worked well enough for him at least.

Yotsy 02-29-2008 07:51 AM

"Well, I'm glad that everyone got a laugh out of this..." She wasn't exactly mad, a little upset perhaps but there wasn't anything that she could do about it without it turning into a mini war between her and Aamori. The first time she'd do something to Aamori, she'd sit on it and then think of something to do to get back her and it'd be an endless cycle until they were both out of energy. She sighed softly and started to smile until she felt the chill of the breeze that blew past; It sent shivers down her spine. She rolled her eyes looking back at Aamori while thinking to herself 'Great... the wind has a chill and now I'm going to freeze before I'm dry'

Aamori stood quietly now looking back and worth between everyone who was talking, quiet surprised to hear Celestine say something productive. She shifted her glance to the Dark dragon and quirked her brow slightly wondering he even spoke. All he seemed to do all the time was lean or stand against something with his arms crossed.

Kyran looked over at Hikari when she questioned what he was talking about, he was more or less thinking out loud and was surprised by her question. "Oh... Umm... I was remembering something the Elder said and I was thinking that maybe the relic could be in one of the sacred mini forests; Much like the one we were in yesterday" He had heard what Celestine said but didn't say anything to acknowledge it, he simply nodded. Perhaps he was thinking too much about this, but he was a diplomat after all so his specialty wasn't exactly following his instincts. But since Celestine had pointed that out, he was definitely thinking about going with his first idea; The mini forests. There were six of them, all over the territory. The closest one, he had already been to so that one wouldn't need to be revisited. But where to start now, go for the closet one or the farthest? Or just pick one at random? He sighed softly as he glanced at Hikari "If we check the forests, the scared grounds I think we might find what we're looking for there. There are six in total and we've already been to one of them, so that leaves five" He stopped what he was saying because he felt like he was repeating everything he just thought. He couldn't wait for this relic to be found, so they could move on to the next territory. Having all these people looking to him really made him uncomfortable.

Nero lifted his eyes to stare at Kyran with a annoyed look. "...Five... Then lets go..." He muttered as he started to walk towards the gate. The faster they got started the better; If they didn't get started then they'd stand around just talking about if for hours longer. He huffed and stopped at the gate, his tail flicking back and forth behind him as he waited for the others to follow his lead.

Cyndel 03-01-2008 12:52 AM

Nanashi smiled weakly at LaRae and glanced away. He looked back about the time that she shivered and blinked. He was a bit chilly himself so he could imagine with her being wet it probably not that much better for her. Being part fire dragon, you would think that he wouldn't get cold easily since they commonly didn't but, it was the exact opposite for him. He got cold very easily. He reached over and rubbed her arm slightly, trying to warm it a bit.

Hikari smiled at Kyran and nodded. "Aright then... If nothing else it is a start." she said softly. She blinked when she heard the black dragon speak, hardly expecting it. She looked over to him when he started to go toward the gate and then glanced back to Kyran before starting forward after him, though she lagged as she waited for Kyran since he obviously would know better where the forests were.

Celestine sighed and turned to walk after the dark dragon as well. He paused after a second and then changed direction, "Go ahead, I will catch up in a second. I forgot to get my things." He said simply. He went back to his hut quickly and grabbed his bag and swallow. He only had a few belongings, the swallow and everything that fit inside that little leather bag. He tossed the back over his shoulder and strapped the swallow to his back so that it hung over his wings. The swallow was something like a scythe with a blade on each end, curving in opposite directions something like an 'S' with a long middle wrapped in leather to grip it by.

He then quickly left the hut and ran swiftly and silently to catch up to the black dragon. He didn't seem the least phased by being around this guy at least. He was fairly certain that he wouldn't bug him as much as the others would, so actually, he preferred to stay around him over the others given the choice. At least for right now. This guys seemed as antisocial as he was.

Yotsy 03-01-2008 02:07 AM

Kyran looked over at Nero when he spoke and started to walk off. He smiled faintly, a blessing in disguise. He wasn't sure how to get everyone moving so the fact that someone else put the ball in motion made him feel better. He followed the dark dragons lead and caught up to Hikari as they started to leave the safety of the festival grounds. "I suppose we could head for the northern most forest and stop at the one on the way..." He stated recalling where all the forests were located. The northern most forest was the farthest away, also one of the smaller ones. Then the one that was on the way was about three miles to the east, only a small distance out of the way. This forest was one of the medium sized. Both were forests Kyran himself had never been to.

Aamori practically stayed glued to Kyran. She walked behind him nearly on his heels; She was uncomfortable being in this territory and preferred to stay close to the only person who really knew their way around.

Nero while walking looked back to see that they were actually following him; He noticed Celestine tagging closer to him then any of the others and shrugged. He could really care less about any of the others; Though he did want to get LaRae back for what she did to his fellow clan member. It boggled his mind that she was even up and moving today and it was like she was mocking him. He would wait for an opportune time to strike.

LaRae glanced at Nanashi when he started to rub her arm; She smiled softly and looked away. He must have caught on to the fact she was cold, and trying to warm her up a little was a kind gesture. When she noticed everyone else had started to leave she started to follow after them; Moving a little slower so she was trailing behind them. She lifted her hands up to her opposite arm and began to rub them gently herself. She gave a soft sigh 'So we're on our way... already' She thought to herself as she looked up to see the backs of everyone she was following.

Cyndel 03-01-2008 03:01 AM

Nanashi lowered his hand after she started to rub her own arms. He sighed softly and started after the others, staying near LaRae's side. He moved silently, hardly making any sound as his worn boots moved over the ground. He wasn't looking forward to this any more than LaRae was....maybe even less.

Hikari walked beside Kyran quietly. When he told where they could go, she looked up to him and nodded. "That sounds like a plan to me." She said with a slight smile. She sighed and looked toward the sky for a moment, "So...how far is it to this forest?" she asked, glancing over to him. She glanced back toward LaRae and Nanashi and then at Aamori, half smiling as she tagged close to Kyran.

Celestine kept his eyes straight ahead as he walked next to the black dragon, not looking at him at all. He stayed closest to him but even at that there was a good three feet between them at all times. "Shouldn't you be walking up front?" he asked Kyran without turning back to look at him, "I highly doubt that he knows where we are going."

Yotsy 03-01-2008 03:32 AM

Kyran sighed softly hearing what Celestine had said and started to pick up his pace enough that he was able to catch up to about the same place Nero was. "He was going to right way... As long as we keep going North we're fine. Eventually the forest will come into view" Surprisingly enough Kyran didn't like being the lead of such a large group of diverse people. He was comfortable when he had to watch over one or two Thunder clan dragons; So this was a learning experience. He looked over to Hikari remembering now about her question "This one we're headed to it the farthest one away, it will probably take us four days walking at this pace; Two if we ran the whole way. Then we've also got the other forest to the east, which is a little closer. We could be there in three an a half days walking, one an a half if we ran" He sighed after doing the math in his head. "That of course is excluding the time needed to sleep, and the time it would take to search each forest"

Aamori was half listening to everything that was being said around her, she was too busy humming a song to herself quietly.

When Kyran started to take over the lead Nero started to slow down, falling back a few feet. He glanced over at Aamori as his ears twitched; He glared at her for a moment "...Do you mind..." His tail flicked back and forth "...I'd rather not listen to the songs of a Water dragon..." His eyes narrowed momentarily and he then looked back at the ground in front of him as he walked.

Aamori stopped humming when Nero spoke up and stared at him "Fine" She stated half angry at him. "You don't have to be so mean about it..." She crossed her arms over her chest and bit her lip to keep herself from saying anything else that could lead to a negative outcome.

LaRae looked at Aamori when she spoke back to Nero; Go figure he'd be the one to be a sour puss. She shook her head and sighed softly "Aamori you don't have to stop because he says so; If you want to sing or hum in your native tongue go ahead" She glared over at Nero "If he doesn't like it then he doesn't have to listen"

Cyndel 03-01-2008 04:34 AM

Hikari glanced at Celestine and sighed, shaking her head. She picked up her pace a bit so she could stay beside Kyran and then tilted her head. "I see..." she said simply and then glanced back for a second, "I am not sure that Nanashi would be able to keep up if we ran the whole way..." She said softly. She could tell that Kyran wasn't too comfortable trying to lead the group, so she was trying to help him out just a little. Her ears twitched slightly and she glanced back when the black dragon spoke to Aamori and then sighed softly, shaking her head. "Really, sir, here are nicer ways of asking someone to cease their actions." she said simply. She didn't treat Nero any differently than the others, in spite of the problems between their clans. She gave every individual the benefit of the doubt before she judged them.

Celestine just huffed quietly. He didn't really care about Aamori's humming, but he didn't want to listen to people start bickering. Just shut up... He thought as he shook his head.

Nanashi just sighed and pinned his ears back slightly. He really didn't want LaRae to get into it with Nero again. He really was afraid of that guy more than anyone here. He tried his best to stay as far out of his way as he could.

Yotsy 03-01-2008 09:21 AM

Kyran had been listening to the ensuing argument behind him. He sighed softly waiting for a chance to interject as they all kept walking. As soon as everything went quiet for a moment he pipped up "Do you guys really need to be at each others throats already?" He didn't bother turning around to look at any of them; He didn't really care if they listened to him or not, but at least he had something to say about the way they were acting. "We just started this journey, can't you try and get along?"

Aamori who was still practically on Kyran's heels quickly apologised. "I'm sorry Kyran, I didn't mean to start anything..." She said as her ears flattened against her head. She had no intention of starting anything, she was just trying to keep herself entertained. There wasn't anything to look at on this barren terrain, so she thought of humming. She sighed softly and buttoned her trap.

LaRae scoffed hearing what Kyran said. She didn't think she said anything wrong and was upset that Kyran lumped her and Aamori in with Nero. She crossed her arms over her chest and looked away from everyone "You know what Kyran, excuse me for having a short temper with him. Seriously, you're not the one being forced to travel with a guy who attacked you"

Nero smirked and looked at LaRae with a glare "You'd better watch your tongue girl, I might be tempted to do it again"

Cyndel 03-01-2008 09:49 AM

Hikari sighed and shook her head, closing her eyes for a moment. "For the love of all Arienh..." she muttered quietly. "...We are certainly off to a grand start..." She was already starting to gather things about each one of these members. Celestine was going to stick to himself and go off on someone occasionally, Nanashi was probably going to spend most of his time on his own or hovering around LaRae, Aamori was going to inadvertently annoy all of them half to death, LaRae seemed like she could be a real live wire, Nero, when he wasn't trying his absolute best to ignore her, wasn't going to say anything to anyone unless it was a jeering, cynical remark, and Kyran was just going to be trying to keep everyone from killing each other. This was going to be a real headache if the entire trip remained like this. Hopefully some of them would change their tunes a bit later.

Nanashi's eyes widened slightly and his ears laid back when Nero threatened LaRae. He wanted to say something but as usual in a case like that words escaped him, so he remained silent. He just looked at Nero sheepishly and then turned his gaze to the ground.

Celestine looked over at Nero for a moment and then shook his head, absently moving further away from him and everyone else. "I am going to pull my hair out by the time this is over..." He really wished that he could just go along to his territory and get the stupid relic and then bring it back and hand it off to one of these incomprehensible people and then go oh about his solitary way.

Yotsy 03-01-2008 10:20 AM

Kyran sighed heavily putting two and two together; Nero must have been the one who hurt LaRae so badly the day before. So the fact that LaRae was being so snippy was half way understandable. Regardless he shook his head looking over at Hikari as if asking for some guidance. He didn't want to say anything more to LaRae because he thought she had a right to be angry at Nero. He also didn't want to say anything to upset Nero and cause him to leave. He really wished the Elder had given him direction.

LaRae glared at Nero hearing the threat. "You've got some nerve threatening me like that Nero.." She muttered lifting her hand as it started to glow that earthy green just like yesterday. She smirked building up her energy just about to thrust her hand into the ground.

Aamori had picked up on energy flow from LaRae; Something she learned to feel while growing up around her. She had been reciting a chant quietly with her hand balled into a fist. She turned around just as LaRae went to put her hand into the ground and threw her fist in her friends direction; Which caused a blast of water to fire from her hand and knock LaRae back a few feet onto the ground, disrupting her energy before it could hit the earth. She then lowered her hand back to her side and sighed. "...Her temper hasn't changed one bit..."

Nero smirked watching Aamori stop LaRae from attacking him. Wouldn't you know it, the one time he could've said he fought back in self defense, someone had to go and stop the girl. He turned away and kept walking; He wouldn't stop like the others would to see if she was alright.

Cyndel 03-01-2008 10:43 AM

Hikari looked back to Kyran about the time that he looked to her. She just gave him an understanding look. She did understand his position, and she had figured out that Nero had apparently been the one to hurt LaRae as well. She was just about to say something then she heard the little commotion behind them and looked back to see LaRae on the ground and Aamori lovering her hand. She sighed, and stopped, turning around abruptly and walking back. "Alright, listen to me, all of you!" she said as she reached down to help LaRae up, "This is ridiculous! We have barely even started and you are all already trying to kill each other!" She looked at LaRae, "I know what he did to you, LaRae, but it's over, you're better now, so let it go. Yes, I heard him threaten you, but that was all it was, you can't just go off trying to pummel people for a simple threat and you all can't go this entire trip at each other's throats all of the time! Every single one of you are important to this group, and I really do not have the energy to heal you every time one of you decides to lash out at the other one. We do not have time to waste bickering and arguing constantly. So please, try to control your tempers!" She sighed and shook her head, finally remembering to release LaRae's hand. "I am sorry if I sound harsh, but really... Do you understand?" she asked, looking mostly at LaRae, though she glanced around to the others as well. After a second she looked back to LaRae, "Now...are you alright?" she asked in a softer tone, now that she'd said what she felt needed to be said.

Nanashi had already stopped when LaRae was suddenly knocked backwards. He had started to go help her up, but Hikari beat him over there. He was a bit surprised at her stern tone, and he almost felt like a five-year-old getting lectured over not playing nice with the other kids. She did make sense though and he nodded that he understood. "...An eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind..." he said quietly.

Celestine had stopped as well, only because he was trying to figure out what the heck just happened and what Hikari was talking about. "Nice speech..." He highly doubted that anyone would listen.

Yotsy 03-02-2008 12:55 AM

Aamori half ignored everything that Hikari was saying because she didn't think it pertained to her. Though she was quick to defend herself "I wasn't trying to kill anyone, let alone LaRae..." She paused sighing softly "I was preventing her from being able to complete that attack she was going to use..." She smirked softly "I know her attacks pretty well and that one she was going to use would not have been pretty if it connected to Nero" She stated looking over at Hikari for a brief moment.

Nero had completely ignored everything that was being said, in fact he did exactly what he wanted to and kept walking even though some of the others had stopped. So he was now a good fifteen maybe twenty feet ahead of everyone else and off in his own little world. The whole thing didn't phase him at all, he would get LaRae back but he was going to wait and get her temper flared again since it was so simple. That way he wouldn't look like the bad guy; Nearly a perfect plan he just had to wait it out.

LaRae had gone to start speaking and Kyran quickly interrupted her "How about you just not say anything right now LaRae, just bite your tongue for now. I'll let you say what you want when we stop for the day... okay?" He asked turning around to look at her. Kyran really had every intention of letting LaRae vent her anger but he was going to wait until she had calmed down enough so that she wasn't blinded by her rage. "Oh... And I want someone to keep an eye on her; I'm not trying to be mean to you LaRae but you need to be kept from using your magic for right now" He paused and looked at Aamori and then to Nanashi "Can either of you two keep an eye on her?" He sighed softly "I won't be able to with my back turned, so just for a little while until she's calmed down?"

LaRae got to her feet thanks to Hikari and just as Kyran had asked she kept her mouth shut. At least for now. She crossed her arms in front of her chest; Annoyed at how everyone reacted, not to mention what Hikari had said. They'd all be acting differently if they were the ones who was attacked by Nero so why did she feel like she was being blamed for everything. Her eyes widened and her jaw nearly dropped when she heard Kyran ask for someone to keep her from using her magic. What the hell was that? "...I'm not a little kid..." She muttered under her breath low enough that no one should've heard it. At the rate she was going it was best to just keep her mouth shut though she had a few choice words she'd have liked to say to both Hikari and Kyran. She sighed and held her hands out showing she wasn't 'armed' and then dropped them lifelessly to her sides. "...Can we just get going..."

Cyndel 03-02-2008 01:50 AM

Hikari glanced over to Aamori and sighed, "I am aware of that, Aamori." she said softly, "Thank you for that, but I am saying this now for future reference." She glanced over her shoulder seeing that Nero was still walking, "Oh course that one is not going to listen to a single word that I say..."

Nanashi listened while Kyran spoke and just stood there quietly with his ears laid back. He hadn't even done anything but with Hikari and Kyran telling everyone else off he felt like he had. He nodded weakly, though he had no idea how he could stop LaRae from using her magic, but he would certainly try his best.

Celestine just sighed and turned back around to continue walking. He didn't really care if everyone here did kill themselves. He was only keeping quiet to keep those two from jumping down his throat the way they did the others'.

Hikari nodded once LaRae asked if they could just go and then glanced back again seeing that Celestine was already moving again. She shook her head and sighed, looking back to LaRae for just a moment. She did realize that she probably felt like they were treating her like a kid, and she really didn't want her to feel like they were trying to. She just put her hand on her shoulder for a moment and offered her a slight smile before turning to continue walking again. They were going to have to catch up with Nero eventually, but right now she was content with letting him stay up there by himself.

Yotsy 03-02-2008 03:24 AM

-Mini Skip-
They had all been walking for hours, it was now nearing night fall and Kyran had stopped walking. The miles they have traveled since the argument went by quietly for the most part. The area where he finally chose to stop for the night looked like exactly the same as every where they had passed previously. One might even think they'd been walking in circles, thankfully that wasn't the case. The ground was rocky with very few smooth spots; The terrain itself was flat with very few small rock formations that stood no higher then two feet tall scattered around. Looking around you could see for what looked like miles; Clearly they were still in the middle of nowhere and Kyran was the only one who knew his way around. Luckily enough there was something to distract the eyes from the nothingness that surrounded them; There was one pool of water nearby. It was small, only large enough to fit two maybe three people in at a time; The water was only three feet deep and extremely cold.

Kyran sighed softly looking up at sky as it started to slowly fade to black. "We're going to stop here for the night" His tail swayed behind him as he brought his gaze back down to the barren land around him. Sometimes he really hated living in a land like this, there was never anything nice to look at.

Nero crossed his arms in front of his chest and walked off a little ways from where everyone else had stopped. He was going to be by himself for awhile, if not the whole night.

Aamori's face lit up bright when she saw the small pool of water. She grinned and rushed over to it and knelt down peering into the water watching her reflection "This land can't be all that bad... it has water" She said with a soft laugh.

LaRae had kept her mouth shut the rest of the trek; Mostly because she was still a little upset at how everything happened earlier in the day. She sighed heavily when everyone started to go off on their own. At least Nero and Aamori went in separate directions. She plopped down on the ground right below where she stopped and sat with her arms jammed between her indian style crossed legs. She didn't have a whole lot to say to anyone, even though she had plenty of time to calm down after the blow-up earlier.

Cyndel 03-02-2008 04:22 AM

Nanashi had kept silent the entire way and kept close to LaRae. He was keeping an eye on her like he'd been asked, but he didn't really act like he was. He just walked next to her the way he had been all along. He sighed when Kyran announced that they were going to stop and sighed. He sat down almost as fast as LaRae had, though he let his legs slide out in front of him and held himself up with his arms behind him. "Whew..." He breathed, closing his eyes for a moment.

Celestine had about the same idea as Nero, he only stopped for a moment and then changed directions and wandered off a good distance away from the others to one of the small rock formations to sit. He unhooked the swallow and laid it down on the ground, ruffling the feathers of his wins for a moment before sitting down on a rock. He reached inside his leather bag and felt around for a moment before pulling out a small fruit, barely the size of his palm and began digging at the peel with his thumb nail, trying to pull off the bitter peel to get to the sweet inside before popping it into his mouth.

Hikari sighed softly and glanced around for a moment, watching Nero and Celestine walk off and then shook her head. She unhooked the bow from where she'd been carrying it over her shoulder and then sat down on the rocky ground. She shifted positions a few times and then finally stood up again and moved over to another location so that she was actually sitting on one large rock rather same five or six tiny ones that were jabbing into her bum.

Kyran watched Aamori rush over to the water and laughed softly just before turning to look at everyone else. Seeing Nero and Celestine go off in their separate directions wasn't much of a surprise; Neither was seeing LaRae and Nanashi sitting together. He looked at Hikari and sighed "Sorry, this terrain isn't really made for roughing it..." He paused and stretched out his wings completely; Then the flapped back into place behind his back. "Unfortunately the nearest town is still about two hours away from here... and they won't be all that accepting of all of us" He stated looking back up at the sky as the stars started to appear more clearly.

Nero finally sat down on the ground, in one of the few smooth area's it seemed. He picked up a few tiny rocks and tossed them out of his way and then laid down on the ground on his side and propped his head up with his hand. He sighed and shut his eyes to relax; His tail draping over his leg as he tried to get comfortable.

Aamori had already sat down next to the water and began taking her sandals off. She unlaced them and then set them down next to her just before dropping her legs into the cold water. She pulled her feet back for a second as the temperature of the water shocked her, but then submerged her feet the rest of the way. She felt more at home in the water, even if it was only a little. She smiled softly as she slowly kicked her feet back and forth in the water. At least her feet wouldn't hurt after this.

LaRae sat for a moment then saw Aamori remove her shoes which brought her attention to her own throbbing feet. They had done a lot of walking, something she wasn't exactly use to. She brought her knees up and then began unlacing her boots one at a time and then removed them setting them beside her. She sighed a little in relief; Letting her feet get some air and getting them out of the constricting boots. She stretched her legs out in front of her and wiggled her toes around absentmindedly. "...If this was just one day I can only imagine how long this trip is going to be" She said quietly glancing over at Nanashi for a brief moment.

Hikari looked up at Kyran and smiled, laughing softly, "Well, it certainly isn't a velvet cushion." she joked, "But I think I will get used to it." She stretched out a bit, extending her silvery wings for a moment as she raised her arms above her head and stretched out her legs, leaning back a little on the rock that she'd decided to sit on, though her wings knocked her a little off balance and she flailed for a moment to keep from falling off backwards. Once she'd gotten situated again he folded her wings up against her back tightly once more. "Hmm... Well the elder did give you that little note, but... really I don't think it would be worth the hassle."

Nanashi watched as LaRae took off her boots and flexed her toes. He smiled slightly and shook his head, "Yeah... if you aren't used it it your feet will get pretty sure in a hurry. I'm used to traveling... I go all over the place." he said simply. "I have been to almost every territory at least once..." He knew that it was uncommon for one clan to go from one territory to the next for no apparent reason, but as he figured it, he wasn't really a part of anything. After a moment he pulled one of his feet up into his lap and looked at the dusty bottoms. The bottom of his boot was dangerously close to having a hole in it, and walking across all of these rocks was very uncomfortable. He plucked at a few that had lodged themselves in what was left of the tread of the low heel of the shoe.

Celestine chewed quietly on the fruit, taking tiny mouse sized bites until it was gone. That was really enough to tide him over for now since he rarely ate anyway. His stomach was tiny and if he ever decided to take his shirt off he would probably look half starved. His waist was already barely twenty five inches around at best. A few minutes passed before he sighed and reached into his back again, pulling out a small ivory pipe with intricate patterns carved around it. He was bored more than tired, and music was the one thing that tended to put him at ease. He was a good distance away from the others with his back turned to them, but they could probably still barely hear the sweet tune that emitted from the pipe as he blew into it. For once...he didn't care what they thought of it. His tail gently swept the ground in beat with the melody he was playing.

Kyran laughed at her little joke and when she nearly fell off the rock "Just look at it this way, we're getting the most uncomfortable terrain out of the way first" He finally brushed a few small rocks away with his foot and sat down on the ground; His tail curled up behind him. "Tomorrow night should be better, we should be closer to the eastern forest" He stated leaning back on his arms. "As for the towns, sure the note the Elder gave me will get us into the towns... But the note doesn't state anywhere that the dragons have to be nice to us" He sighed softly "It's a shame that there is so much discrimination in this world"

Aamori continued to play in the water for a little while longer. She pulled her feet out and set them on the rocky ground next to her to let them dry before she'd put her shoes back on. She laid down on her back, stretching out her wings. She stared up at the stars, watching them twinkle.

LaRae looked over at his boot when he lifted it up to inspect it. "By the looks of it you travel too much" She smiled softly "You could use some new shoes..." She put her arms up over her head and stretched slightly; Then fell backwards onto the ground. She winced a little as she hit a small rock but didn't bother to sit up again and move it. Her back was pretty sore too, from all the times she'd fallen backwards; Thanks to Aamori. She bit her lip and ignored the rock under her back, looking over at Nanashi. "So... Why have you traveled so much?"

Hikari sighed softly and nodded. "Yes, I know..." She said softly, "That is why I said that it was hardly worth the hassle..." She shook her head, "We are going to have to go to a town eventually, however... After today I believe we left rather ill prepared for a trip this long." Her ears twitched slightly and her eyes went in Celestine's direction for a moment when she thought she heard music. She smiled a little and then looked back down to Kyran again. "There are always a few people that can keep an open mind. Myself...I reserve judgment until judgment is called for."

Nanashi laughed quietly. "Yeah, I know... It is too much of a hassle trying to get anything new. I suppose when these wear out I will just go barefoot." He'd already noticed that Celestine went barefoot already. He half wondered how in the world he could stand to walk on the ground here, but it didn't seem to bother him. At her next question Nanashi just shrugged. "...I just do... It's hard to stay in one place for too long. No one wants me anywhere, so I just go wherever I want because...it really doesn't matter where I am. I spend most of my time outside of any town. I suppose after today you can see why..." He shook his head, "I stayed in one place for a long time when I was younger and it just...got to be too much. I left and I don't think I've ever stayed in one place more than a few days at best ever since then."

"I do agree that there are people who are much like you in every territory, but I'd still like to not expose them to such a large diverse group such as us; All at one time" He paused "Perhaps when we do stop in a town I'll go in with one or two others; At least for now" He sighed softly looking back up at the sky above. "Well be needing to get to sleep soon. The sooner we get up in the morning the more likely we'll make it to the eastern forest"

LaRae finally leaned forward and flexed her wing to move the rock out from under her. She laid back down and put her hands under her head then glanced over at Nanashi. "You don't have a place to call home do you?" She asked shifting her glance away from him as she thought about her 'home' "I wish I didn't..." She mumbled. "I've never been to any other territories other then my own and this one... So I'm not as well traveled as you are and I think my boots prove that" She stated; Her boots looked practically new, minus a few scuff marks and dirt. She yawned lightly, lifting her hand to her mouth to cover it. This first day went by so fast, even with all the water she got hit with. She was surprised her clothes dried considering how soaked she had been and the temperature thanks to the wind. She shivered every now and again; Her body had a chill that came over it due to the previous wet clothing she wore.

Hikari sighed softy and nodded, "Yes, yes, I know." she said quietly, "I suppose that may be better." She really didn't want to divide the group too often, but Kyran's idea sounded reasonable enough. She looked down at the ground and started to push the rocks around with her boots, making a nice open area without too many lumps. With a sigh she finally slipped off of the rock and settled in the dirt, laying on her side with one arm crossed under her head and her back to Kyran. "Good night." she said softly as she closed her eyes to try to get to sleep. She had a feeling that was going to be a bit difficult tonight. This was officially the first time that she had ever slept in the dirt all night.

Nanashi looked over to LaRae as he released his foot and brought the other up to get the pebbles out of it as well. "...No...I really don't." His ears lowered slightly when he heard her say that she wished that she didn't have one. He glanced down toward her boots and then shook his head, releasing his other foot before clearing out the area behind him and laying down. He glanced over to LaRae again and offered her a weak smile. "...Let's just try to sleep... If we stay up talking most of the night you're going to have an even harder time getting up in the morning." Nanashi had decided again staying on that topic, mainly because he didn't want to think about her people and he didn't want her to think about them either for a while. Even as horrible as her people were, however, he probably would have given almost anything to say that he had a home. He had said before that traveling wasn't that bad, but that didn't mean that he really wanted to do it, he just didn't have too many options.

Celestine had finally played himself out on the pipe and slipped it back into his pack again. He looked up at the sky for a few moments and then sighed. There wasn't even anywhere off of the ground for him to sleep around here. Grudgingly he cleared out the area below the rock that he'd been sitting on and laid down with his back to the others.
