Aamori was still asleep, despite the way she was hanging out of the chair. She hadn't even stirred when Kyran brought Celestine downstairs. She finally did move a little though. She, just like the day before tried to roll over onto her side. Of course she found that difficult considering her position. While still asleep she managed to turn everything but her legs to the side and wound up rolling right back down and smacking her head against the floor yet again. She made a face when she felt her head hit the floor and started to wake up. She started to stretch a little, extending her legs to the point that her toes pointed out. At her angle doing so tipped her and her legs fell fell over top of her as she slipped the rest of the way out of the chair. She tried to keep herself asleep but now with the way she was laying, with her knees to her chest and her feet stretched out past her head she couldn't help but wake up now. Her eyes cracked open and she blinked a couple times before noticing where her legs were. She immediately went to lay her legs out flat having not noticed where she was laying and wound up kicking the chair pretty hard with her feet. She whined quietly and pulled her feet away from the chair and started to sit up. As soon as she sat up she wanted to rub her feet where she'd kicked the chair but her hand rather quickly found it's way to the knot on the back of her head that had grown in size a little from how many times she'd hit it. She sighed softly realizing she had a slight headache now. She was sitting with her back to towards the couch so she hadn't even noticed that Celestine was in the living room.
Kyran just laid there and shook his head lightly when he heard Hikari talk in her sleep. She was in for quite the surprise when she woke up because Celestine had managed to get out of the bed without her knowing, apparently. He lifted his hand and gently rested it on top of her arm that she had latched onto him with and smiled softly as he gently rubbed it for a moment. He laid there for a moment and then moved his head slightly so that he could kiss her forehead and then laid his head right back down. LaRae was surprised to say the least when he pulled her down onto his lap. She had been thinking about asking where he was going to sit since there was only one chair, now she didn't have to ask. Her cheeks had tinted a light pink from and she smiled softly then nodded her head slightly. "No, I guess you can't." She uttered lightly. Though if he wanted to get up it wasn't like it'd be hard to stand up and pick her up in the process. |
Celestine raised his head again slightly when he heard the thud of Aamori's head hitting the ground and he looked down at her silently with a rather uninterested expression as he watched her acrobatics and witnessed her getting beaten up by an inanimate object. He shook his head slightly when she finally got situated and rubbed her head and then slowly reached over to place his hand on top of hers to see if she was alright. The chair was at a 90º angle from where he was located on the couch, so she was in the floor practically right in front of him, though apparently she didn't know that.
Hikari turned her head slightly when she felt Kyran's lips against her forehead. "Mmm..." she nuzzled against him again, still not really registering what was going on. "...What are you doing?" she muttered quietly as she opened her eyes. She was startled not to see Celestine's face when she woke up so out of instinct she let out a quiet yell of surprise and jerked back, though that caused her to nearly fall off the bed. She latched onto Kyran as she fell and saved her upper half, though her legs hit the floor with a thud. "Ow..." she blinked and then looked at Kyran and sighed heavily. "...You...scared the daylights out of me!" She smiled at him and laughed softly, shaking her head. "Where did Celestine go?" she asked before she released his arm with one hand so she could stifle a yawn. Nanashi opened his eyes again when he heard the way that LaRae's voice came out and he raised his head slightly before he pulled his arms back and moved her hair so that he could see her face better. "...Um...did I...do something wrong?" he asked a little nervously. He hadn't really been thinking much when he did this. He knew that he could still get up but really he was just being playful and kind of giving her the 'ha ha I'm sitting on you so you can't move' advantage, though now he was starting to gather that he'd done something to embarrass her. "...I'm sorry." he said quietly getting ready to pick her up so that he could get out of the chair and she could have it. |
Aamori nearly jumped out of her skin and pulled her hand away from her head quickly when she felt someone put their hand on top of hers. She honestly hadn't noticed that anyone else was in the room besides herself. She was breathing heavily while she put her hand over her chest and then turned her head so that she could see who was behind her. She sighed softly when she saw Celestine. She looked at him for a few moments before smiling a little and then turning her head back in front of her. She sat quietly for a moment then wondered just how long he'd been sitting there. She wasn't sure she wanted to know, she probably embarrassed herself and she'd rather be oblivious to it. "...Morning." She said quietly.
Kyran continued to lay there with a half smile on his face until Hikari woke up and jerked back and almost fell off the bed. He couldn't help but laugh softly after she said that he scared her. He didn't mean to scare her so badly that she fell half off the bed. When she released his arm he rolled over onto his side so that he could look at her. He then shook his head lightly when the next thing she asked was where Celestine was. "...Well, good morning to you too." He said with a soft sigh. "He's downstairs on the couch." He answered and then rolled back onto his back. "...Are you alright?" LaRae shook her head quickly. "...No. You didn't do anything wrong." She answered. She had just been startled by what he did, she'd really been caught off guard. She sat there for a moment until she heard him apologize and then stood up briefly, making sure not to put any pressure down on her right ankle, then sat down on his lap again. This time she sat sideways so that she could see him better. "Don't apologize..." She paused. "And you're not allowed to get up, remember?" She said with a soft smile before putting her arms around his neck and resting her head against his shoulder. |
Celestine nodded slightly to her and then sighed softly and closed his eyes again, pulling his hand back to wrap around his legs again. "....Morning..." he muttered in that same almost inaudible voice. He lowered his head back into his knees and settled his back against the couch a little more and then leaned sideways against the arm of the couch, nestling himself into the corner since it was easier to sit up that way.
Hikari's ears fell back when she realized her error. She crawled back onto the bed and nodded to him before she wrapped her arms around him. "Just fine, now." she said softly, "I'm sorry, Kyran. I was just a little surprised to find you instead of Celestine, I didn't expect him to be getting up so soon." She nuzzled against him and then raised her head to kiss his jaw. "Good morning." she said softly before she rolled so that she was almost laying on top of him. She crossed her arms over his chest and stared down at his face, "Where have you been all night?" she asked softly. Nanashi blinked when LaRae got up and started to get up himself though when she sat down on him again she forced him back into the chair. He let out a quiet 'oof' and then blinked and stared at her in mild surprise before he smiled slightly. "...Oh yeah." he said with a soft chuckle. He looked down at her when she put her arms around his neck and then slowly put his arms back around her middle again, leaning his head down against hers. He nuzzled his cheek against her hair and sighed softly, relaxing considerably. He was content sitting there with her like this...so long as no one else came in. He really thought little of it, but he had a feeling some of the others might not like it too much. |
Aamori caught her breath and dropped her hand down to her lap from her chest. She glanced back over her shoulder again to look at Celestine briefly. She sighed softly and turned her head back around as she lifted her hand to the back of her head and rubbed the knot gently. Her head was definitely hurting now. She continued to sit on the floor for a few minutes longer before she started to get to her feet. She wobbled slightly once she was standing up and then dropped herself down into the chair, making sure to sit properly to avoid falling out of it again. She did rest her head back against the chair and shut her eyes lightly. "...How are you feeling?" She asked while not bothering to open her eyes and look over at him.
Kyran didn't bother to look over at her when she started to crawl back on the bed. He continued to just lay there, acting like he was hurt that her first concern was Celestine. He finally started paying attention to her after she kissed his jaw. He smiled softly and looked at her while she stared down at him. "Hmm... In a chair." He paused. "...But at least I was given a pillow sometime after I fell asleep." He answered. "I'd ask where you were, but I think that's pretty obvious." He said with a small laugh. LaRae continued to sit on his lap quietly, rather content herself after the surprise had finally faded completely. She started to lift her head up slowly from his shoulder. She smiled softly. "Thanks for having me get off my feet." She paused. "...I don't think I'd have gotten to enjoy this otherwise." She said and then gently pressed her lips to his cheek. She was comfortable and surprisingly happy just the way they were. She more than likely wouldn't have stayed off her feet if he hadn't sat down first. She'd have had no reason to stay seated, other than to stay off her feet and getting her to do that would have been like pulling teeth. |
Celestine raised his eyes a little and cracked his eyes open to look at Aamori before closing them again since she wasn't looking at him either. "...Bad..." he muttered quietly. There was no sense in lying about it. One good look at him said that much. He sighed softly and laid his head on his knees again. He was in pain, he was tired, and he was still on the verge of a breakdown at any given minute. Honestly someone could probably mention Sonia's name around him right now and he would start crying again. He wasn't quite finished yesterday before his body decided otherwise.
Hikari smiled slightly at him and nodded. "Yeah...I was in here playing mommy all night." She smiled at him and then leaned down to him and lightly pressed her lips down over his for a moment before she pulled back. "...You aren't really upset are you?" she asked sweetly, her tail swaying slightly behind her before it found his and curled around it. Nanashi smiled slightly when she thanked him and then shook his head. He was about to speak when she kissed his cheek and his words caught in his throat as his cheeks suddenly burned red, though it was a little difficult to tell. "....I...I....y-you're...welcome." he stammered quietly as his eyes darted off to the corner of the room. He couldn't help but to smile slightly while he tried not to look at her. |
Aamori sat there quietly, though she cracked an eye open when he said how he felt. She closed her eye again and lifted her hand to her head for a moment applying a little pressure to try and relieve the pain from the headache. She sighed quietly and dropped her hand back down into her lap as she opened her eyes again and lifted her head from the chair. "...Anything I can help with?" She asked quietly. She didn't like to see him so miserable and just wanted to help in any possible way she could. Now, getting him to tell her what she could do to help was a whole different story in itself.
Kyran kept looking at Hikari and continued to act like he was upset. He just stared at Hikari for a moment after she pulled back from kissing him lightly. He smiled wide and then laughed softly while shaking his head a little. "No, no. I'm not upset. I never was." He said while lifting his arms up to put around her. He was obvious back to his usual self now. His tail uncurled slightly when hers got a hold of it and then curled around hers too. "I am kind of jealous though that Celestine got to share a bed with you for the night." He admitted and then slipped a hand behind her head and gently pulled her back to him so he could return the kiss. He smiled and moved his hand from behind her head, letting his hand come to rest palm side against her cheek lightly. "I am incredibly lucky to be graced by the lips of such a beautiful girl." He whispered to her. LaRae looked at him and smiled softly when she noticed that he was trying not to look at her. She chuckled lightly. "One kiss to the cheek and you can't look at me afterward?" She looked at him for a moment longer before she rested her head down against his shoulder and nuzzled against him gently. |
Celestine shook his head slightly. "...No." he said quietly. He didn't really think there was much anyone could do. He needed to eat, but he didn't feel like it. His appetite was completely destroyed after yesterday, he didn't care if he ate and the very idea of food was almost enough to make him queasy by now. He sighed softly and then slowly raised his hand and pointed back toward the hallway where the kitchen was. "...Ice." he muttered quietly. He knew she must have hit her head pretty hard to make such a noise with it and he'd noticed the way that she was holding it.
Hikari smiled at him when he said that he never had been upset. "You're so mean." she said with a soft laugh before he pulled her down to kiss her again. She smiled against his lips and then pulled her head back slightly, blushing at his comment. "...And I to be graced with such a gentleman." she said softly. She lowered her head again and nuzzled against him gently. "...I love you." she said softly again. It was so much easier to say after the first time, though she knew that she still had to be careful when and where she used that phrase with him. Nanashi's blush deepened slightly when he felt her nuzzle him and he slowly looked back over to her with a slight smile. "...S-sorry." he said quietly. He gave her a little squeeze and then leaned his head back against her again. He laughed softly, "...It's a good thing neither of us have have really protruding horns or this would be a little difficult." he said as he nestled his face into her hair. If LaRae's horns were still intact and did as they were supposed to all he'd be managing to do would be to smack his head off of them she he tried to lean against her head. |
Aamori looked away from him when he shook his head and said no. She set her head back against the chair and sighed softly. She couldn't help thinking that she should've known there wasn't anything she could help with. If he needed or wanted help he probably would've asked for it. She started to close her eyes but glanced back over to him when she heard him say 'ice'. She looked towards the hall and then glanced back to him briefly. "..Umm ..okay." She mumbled and then pushed herself up from the chair. She immediately rose her hand to her head when she stood up and then started to the hall and down to the kitchen. Her head was really bothering her and the throbbing was annoying but she was trying to ignore it since Celestine wasn't feeling well. She released her head when she stepped into the kitchen and walked over to the sink for a moment. She glanced over to the table and looked at Nero briefly before picking up the glass from the sink that she'd used the night before. She ran the water and rinsed the glass out before fixing herself something to drink; She drank the water and then returned the glass to the sink. She gave a soft sigh and then got out another glass and filled it with ice. She wasn't exactly sure what he told her to get the ice for, and how could she when all he said was 'ice'. She didn't say a word and then started back into the hall and to the living room. She walked back over to Celestine and stopped just in front of him and held the glass out. "...Here."
Kyran gave her a light squeeze and then smiled. "A gentlemen? Really, who is he?" He asked with a soft laugh. He smiled warmly when he heard the last thing she said and held her tightly. "I love you too, Hikari." He said softly. He was really glad that she felt the same way he did. He was also quite happy that she had expressed herself this time without him initiating it. LaRae kept her head against his shoulder and nuzzled him a little more. "You don't have to keep saying sorry for every little thing..." She commented quietly. She smiled slightly when he mentioned what he did about it being a good thing neither of them had horns. "This might be the only time I can honestly say that I don't miss mine." She admitted quietly. She did miss her horns and she did wish that she had them, but he had a point. If she had her horns, and if he had horns being close like this would be incredibly difficult. |
Celestine just listened to her footsteps walking away and then slowly raised his head when she came back a few minutes later and said 'here.' He stared at the cup of Ice for a moment with that same uninterested look on his face before he looked up to her. "...For your head......." he said slowly and then lowered his own head back to his knees again. He didn't know how Aamori could be such a ditz sometimes. Weren't elders supposed to be wise? He sighed softly and tried to sink further into the couch. "...I'm just tired..." he said quietly into his knees, "...I don't....need anything...."
Hikari smiled at him and kissed him one more time before she finally tried to roll off of him with a soft chuckle. "Alright, alright... what is Marius walks by?" she pointed out to him, "You know how he is about this sort of thing." she reminded him, "He doesn't even want us sleeping int he same bet together." She sighed softly. "...I wonder if he even came home last night, I never heard him come in..." Nanashi smiled slightly and raised one hand to her face, stroking her cheek gently before he moved his hand up to her little broken horns. He ran his finger lightly over the top and then chucked softly. "...I've never missed them...I still think you're beautiful without them... and I still think they're kind of cute like this." he said with a soft laugh. He really didn't know why he laughed so much wen he always got the giggles when he was alone with her. That was really abut the only time that he ever really laughed. Then again it was about the only time that he was ever really content enough to laugh. |
Aamori stared at him blankly for a moment when he said it was for her head. She sighed softly and pulled the glass back for a moment before setting it down on the coffee table. She hadn't even thought about doing anything for her head. Sure it hurt, but that was the least of her concerns. She moved back to the chair and sat down, resting her head back against the chair again. "If you're tired, then go to sleep." She uttered before shutting her eyes as she shifted slightly and dropped her head down into her hand now that her elbow was propped against the arm rest of the chair.
Kyran gave a sigh when Hikari started to remind him of Marius and how he felt about this sort of thing. "Yeah, yeah, I know." He said sounding half sad. "But you know... if he walked by you could just say I stopped breathing and you were preforming CPR." He said jokingly. He started to sit up in the bed once she'd rolled off of him. He glanced towards the door momentarily. "...I wasn't even aware that he went anywhere last night." He paused. "I guess I was probably asleep if and when he came back. I didn't even wake up when Kanone came and got in the bed in room I was in." He said quietly. LaRae's cheeks rather quickly went red after what he said and then she lifted her hands up and cupped them over her little stumps. She was caught between emotions; She wanted to be blushing because he complimented her but she also wanted to be embarrassed because he thought her stumps were kind of cute, not to mention he had touched them. She really thought her horns would have been prettier had they not been broken. She was just so used to being made fun of because of the way they were now, so hearing anything to the contrary was quite a surprise. She didn't see herself ever getting used to being told she was beautiful without them. |
Celestine sighed softly. That sounded like a good idea but he wasn't sleepy, he just had no energy. "...Not....that kind....." he said quietly as he raised one hand just to try to show her what he meant. He is hand was shaking visibly just from the strain of being suspended in mid air, and it felt like it weighted about three times what it usually did. After a moment he just let his hand drop, quite literally, onto the arm of the couch where it just lay there like a it looked like it should be attached to someone no longer among the living. He looked over to his hand again and sighed again though this time he felt his eyes watering again. He was still just completely miserable. He wanted to be able to get up and do something, he hated having the others trying to wait on him because he couldn't do anything himself, and he just all around didn't want to still be here. Normally he wouldn't cry over something like that, but right now he didn't care. His nerves were shot and he was irritated to the core with himself on top of not being over what happened yesterday.
Hikari laughed softly at Kyran's joke and shook her head before she sighed. "...He and Nero took Sonia to bury her..." she said softly, "I was talking to Nero for a few minutes last night, he came to check on Celestine. He...said that he had to do most of the burial...Marius tried to help be.I guess he couldn't handle it. Anyway...Nero came back and left him alone there for a little while so he could have some time to himself to grieve without trying to held Kanone or Celestine together." she explained to him. Of course the mention of Nero coming in last night brought a blush to her face at the memory of what he was wearing when he did. She didn't mention anything about their second conversation in the hall, though. She knew that was one that he wouldn't want her repeating. Nanashi smiled at her and laughed softly when she covered her horns. He nuzzled her again and then raised his hand to hers, trying to scoot them away. "...There's no need to hide them..." he said with a soft laugh, "...After all I have already seen them. Really...I think they're cute." he said with a soft chuckle, "but then....I think we have already had this conversation once. I know you think they would be prettier if they weren't broken but...I think they make you more unique." he said softly, "Besides...most of the ones I have seen look really heavy..." He smiled at her again and then sighed softly. "I mean I don't know...obviously, just going by looks. They seem like a bit of a nuisance." |
Aamori tilted her head so that she could look over at him without having to actually lift her head from her hand. She stared at his hand and watched it shake as he held it up. She sighed softly when he let it drop and then she shut her eyes lightly. "Your body is only going to grow weaker without some form of nutrition." She mumbled through the throbbing pain. "Regardless... of if you want to eat or not... you need to." She paused. "Or you're going to be stuck being taken care of." She was pretty sure that he already knew all of that, so she was probably just wasting her breath. Though, the only bonus to him having such a lack of energy was they could probably force feed him something as a last resort because he'd have no strength to fight back. She smirked slightly at the thought and then lifted her head from her hand and leaned it back against the chair gently.
Kyran's happy, joking disposition rather quickly faded after hearing the first few things that Hikari said. That surely was one hell of a way to get you down really fast. He felt kind of bad because he hadn't even been aware that Marius and Nero had gone to do that yesterday. Had he known or been informed he would have kept himself awake long enough to go with them. He wasn't all that surprised to hear that Nero had to do the majority of the burial. He knew how hard it could be to bury someone you loved. He had watched his own father and uncle struggle with burying his mother. He sighed softly once she finished explaining and then looked over at her noticing the color in her face and quirking a brow slightly. "...You alright?" He paused. "Your face looks kind of flushed." LaRae sighed softly and moved her hands when he tried to scoot them away. She really didn't like her little stumps for horns but there was little she could do about them and at current she really didn't feel like arguing with him about how she didn't believe him when he said they were cute. She thought they were anything but that. She wrapped her arms around his neck again and rested her head against his shoulder and smiled slightly. As much as she hated her little horns she couldn't deny that it was nice having Nanashi say such nice things about them. She nuzzled against him and then lifted her head for a moment. "If my broken little horns make me unique then you being a dragon half, makes you unique." She paused and set her head down against him again. "...I wouldn't want you any other way." She admitted quietly. To her, if he was anything other than what he was right now he wouldn't be who she fell in love with. |
Celestine sighed softly and closed his eyes again, though that only pushed the tears out f his eyes and down his face. He lowered his head back into his knees again and didn't even bother to respond to her. He would eat if he wasn't afraid that he would get sick afterward. He felt sick right now even thinking about eating. He just curled in on himself, wrapping his arms around his legs loosely and sat silently while tears continued to slide from his eyes. It wasn't like he could really make himself anything anyway, and he didn't want to ask anyone else to do it either.
Hikari looked at Kyran and shook her head quickly, "No I'm not I was just....um....nothing." she said quickly, "Nero just...embarrassed me half to death last night and I would really rather not to go into it, so um let's change the subject, shall we?" she said with a weak smile. She sighed and ran her fingers back through her hair for a moment and then sighed and tried to untangle her fingers from her few curls. "...Uhg..." Nanashi blinked when she said that him being a dragon half made him unique. He stared at her and opened his mouth to respond but he just smiled at her next statement and nuzzled against her again. "...I suppose it does...I have never even seen another..." he said quietly. "...I have never really minded being half human... Though it might be a little more enjoyable if I had some idea of who the human half was." he said softly, "...It's the rest of the world that has had the problem...and in turn caused me to have a problem with the fact." he smiled weakly and kissed one of her horns, "...But if you have no problem with it...that is all that matters." he said softly, "...Don't you agree?" |
Aamori sat there quietly with her eyes shut and tried to relax, hoping that the aching in her head would go away already. She wanted to be there to help and or comfort Celestine if need be and while having her own headache to deal with that made it a little difficult. She gave a slightly annoyed sigh and then opened her eyes and lifted her head to look over at Celestine again. She really wished that things hadn't turned out the way they did yesterday because that really seemed to only set him back on getting better. At the rate this was going they could easily be here at least another week, especially since he didn't have the energy to move around by himself. She slid forward in the chair and then pushed herself up, again her hand finding it's way to her head rather quickly from the motion of standing up. She walked around the coffee table to the other side of the couch and then moved to sit down near him. She left a short gap between them because she wasn't so sure that he wanted her too close to him. She continued to look over at him for a moment after she'd sat down and then shut her eyes again and leaned her head back on the couch.
Kyran was a little surprised to hear that Nero was talking to her last night, but enough to embarrass her? He shook his head lightly after hearing she wanted to change the subject. He was still a bit curious as to what Nero could have possibly done to embarrass her and to the point that when she thought about it again she still reacted. He gave a soft sigh and swung his legs over the side of the bed, placing his feet on the floor. "Maybe you should go get your comb." He said since she was trying to untangle her fingers. He uncurled his tail from hers since they hadn't let go of one another and then let it curl back up and lay by itself on the edge of the bed. LaRae blushed again after he kissed one of her horns. She gave a slight nod of her head to agree with what he said. She was at a loss for words at the moment and couldn't manage anything more then that. At this point she was really kind of happy that she didn't have her horns, she obviously still missed them a little. She looked at him and smiled softly before tightening her hold around his neck slightly to hug him. "...I love you, Nanashi." She uttered quietly and then loosened her hold on him slightly. |
Celestine still didn't bother to raise his head when he felt Aamori sit down beside him. He could tell by the way that she sounded that she was annoyed and apparently didn't really feel like fooling with him. He could imagine that she had a headache and he wasn't really asking her to do anything for him. He was starting to wish that he'd just stayed upstairs with Hikari, it would have saved everyone a whole lot of trouble.
Kanone had finally woken up and managed to get himself unrolled form the covers. He stretched slightly and then yawned before he climbed to his feet with a sigh and moved over to the door and slipped out into the hall, glancing around for a moment before he headed to the stairs and started down. He sighed when he got to the bottom and headed around to the living room, preparing to go hope on the couch, though when he got around he realized that it was already almost full. He blinked when he saw Celestine there with Aamori. He raised an eyebrow at the way Celestine was sitting and then walked over to them. "...Morning..." he said softly, glancing to Aamori. He sank down beside her on the couch and leaned his head over onto hers with a soft sigh. "..You know....you two look like hell..." he said with a weak smile. He probably didn't look too much better himself, but he never did when he first rolled out of bed. Hikari smiled slightly at Kyran and finally freed her fingers. "Yes, I guess so." she looked down when she felt his tail uncurl from hers and laughed softly, "Oops..." she said softly before she slipped out of the bed on the same side as Kyran and then reached over to him and put her arms around him for a moment before she stood up and turned back to him to press her lips to his forehead again. "...Be back soon." she said softly as she started toward the door and then went down the hall to the next room and opened the door. She figured that LaRae was probably still in there asleep and she didn't want to wake her by knocking so she just slipped inside, though she was rather surprised at what she found. "Oh." Nanashi smiled at LaRae again and nuzzled against her head against gently, purring softly for a second before he raised his head to look down at her. "...I love you, too." he said quietly just before the door opened. He started so violently that he almost threw LaRae out into the floor, but he grabbed onto her more tightly and stared wide-eyed at Hikari, his heart suddenly pounding so hard that it felt like it was going to dive out of his chest. It wasn't that he was really afraid of being caught like this by someone in their group, but it was just a knee jerk reaction. He was pretty used to the idea what if he was caught with a female dragon like this that he was in for it. He had never really been with one like this before, but he had gotten just a little too close to one once or twice or looked at one the wrong way...even though in reality he was probably just walking by or looking over her head to see what was behind her. |
Aamori continued to sit there quietly. She lifted her head up briefly and opened her eyes when she heard Kanone. She looked at him for a few moments and watched as he moved over to sit down beside her. She started to shut her eyes until she felt his head against hers. She moved her head away from his slowly and gave a sigh. "...I'm sure I'd look better had I not hit my head so many times in the past two days that it gave me a throbbing headache." She said quietly while returning her hand to press against the side of her head. She shut her eyes gently and turned her head slightly towards him. "...So whats your excuse, you don't exactly look any better."
Kyran merely smiled after Hikari kissed his forehead and then started out of the room. He sat there for a moment before lifting his hand to run it through his hair. He was thankful for such short hair. He never had to do anything more to it then what he was currently. Then, the worst he ever got was bed head. He sighed softly as he dropped his hand back down into his lap and then laid back on the bed for a bit. He was still a little sore, so he was taking advantage of the empty bed to stretch out his back. LaRae smiled warmly at him and was about to open her mouth to say something but she stopped when he startled so violently. She immediately tightened her grip around his neck and her breath caught in her throat when she thought she was going to fall. Then relaxed slightly when she saw Hikari and then sighed softly as she loosened her hold around Nanashi's neck. She started to move her arms all together and slid her hand down from his neck, pausing when her hand was over his chest. She glanced back to him briefly and smiled a little, she was surprised at just how hard his heart was pounding just from Hikari coming into the room. She then looked back over to Hikari and smiled at her. "Good morning, Hikari." She lifted her hand up for a moment and brushed her hair back over her horns. "I was going to ask you a question." She started. "I fell down as soon as I got out of the bed, twisted my ankle. By chance do you have anything to subdue the pain?" She asked. "Since I was up earlier than usual today, I had thought about making breakfast... But I can't very well do that if I can't stand on my ankle..." She added lastly, trying to completely change the subject. |
Kanone smiled slightly when Aamori leaned her head on him and then raised his arm to put around her shoulders. "You should try some ice..." he said lightly. "...And I always look like this in the mornings." he said with a soft sighed, "Of course after yesterday...." he trailed off and shook his head, just giving her shoulders a gentle squeeze. He looked over to Celestine for a moment and sighed softly, obviously remembering yesterday on his part, too. He sat there for a second before he slowly pulled his arms from around her and stood up to go stand in front of Celestine. He looked down at him sadly for a moment and then reached over to him and placed his hand on the back of his head. "...Cel..." he started and then sighed softly.
Celestine tried to keep his face buried when Kanone came into the room. He still wasn't ready to face him or Marius. He was fairly sure that Kanone was still angry with him, even though he didn't sound it. Kanone always tried not to sound angry even when he was...well if he was thinking. He did finally raise his head when Kanone put his hand on his head and looked up at him, though after a moment his eyes spilled over again and he turned his head away from him and Aamori. He couldn't even look at Kanone without feeling the guilt that had been seeded in his mind. Kanone watched him, looking nearly shocked to see him cry, especially in front of him. Obviously that was something that he hadn't seen in a while. "...Are you going to do this every time you look at me?" he asked quietly. He pulled Celestine's legs out a little until his feet fell off the couch and then he reached down to him and pulled him to a standing position. Celestine didn't weigh anything, so it wasn't hard to hold him up. He just wrapped his arms around him tightly and held him close. "...I'm sorry, Celestine..." he said quietly, "...I didn't mean what I said....I was just...screaming, I wasn't thinking about what I was saying." he said softly. He ran his hand down Celestine's hair and sighed softly. "...Come on, kid...you know I like having you around. I love you..." he told him quietly. Celestine looked up to Kanone slowly and then buried his face in his chest and shook his head, against starting to sob quietly. He wrapped his arms around Kanone as tightly as he could which...wasn't very at the moment. "...I....I'm...s-sorry..." he choked out quietly. Kanone shook his head and gave him a tight squeeze when he heard him apologize. "...For what?" he asked quietly, "...You didn't do anything, Celestine...don't apologize." He looked down at him and tilted his head. "...Don't tell me that's as tight as you can squeeze right now." He blinked when Celestine nodded, "Geez Kid..." he pulled one hand back and pressed it against Celestine's head, pushing it back slightly. "...You're kinda pale...and....I think you've got a little bit of a fever." He wasn't too sure since your face did usually tend to get a little warm when you were crying the way he was. He sighed and hugged him again, holding hims close. "...Look kid...I'm not too good at this whole...playing parent thing...so so me a favor and take care of yourself, okay?" he said softly. Hikari looked at Nanashi and smiled weakly before she looked to LaRae and nodded to her, "Good morning." she said lightly and then thought for a moment. "Oh, you twisted your ankle? Well...I don't know if I have anything...I might..." she smiled and walked over to them, "Which is it?" she asked, "I'll just see what I can do with it to save time. I don't really want to go drag my bag out of there right now..." She looked at Nanashi again and chuckled softly. "Nanashi, you look like a deer at the end of a hunter's arrow. Calm down." she said lightly. Nanashi took a deep breath and sighed softly, trying to relax again when LaRae started to talk to Hikari though he blinked when Hikari started on his expression and blushed. "Um...s-sorry." he said quietly. He just blushed even more when his response made her giggle. |
Aamori sighed softly hearing again that she should use ice. She thought the ice would help more with the swollen knot on the back of her head, not so much the actual headache itself. She looked up at Kanone briefly once he stood up and went over to Celestine. She lowered her eyes and then practically flopped over where Kanone had been sitting. She didn't want to pay too much attention to the conversation they were having. She lifted her hand and pressed it against her head and while shutting her eyes. She was barely listening to them, only keeping an ear out to get the gist of what was being said.
LaRae looked at Hikari for a moment, then looked down to her ankle. "It's my right one." She answered. "Nobu fell asleep on my legs, or was just laying on them.. I'm not sure which, it's kind of hard to tell when you look at him. Anyway, I finally got my legs free from him and went to stand up immediately. I wasn't thinking and my legs gave out under me as soon as I put all my weight down." She explained. "I should've known better, but I just wanted away from that bed hog..." She said as she pointed back towards the bed. Nobu was practically sprawled out all over the bed. She glanced back to Nanashi momentarily and smiled slightly. She at least hoped she'd drawn most of the attention away from what they were doing and how they were sitting and redirected it. She looked back at Hikari and smiled a bit. "If I hadn't fallen, I might have tried waking you with a muffin." She said with a soft laugh. |
Kanone continued to hold Celestine up for a few moments before he gently lowered him back to the couch again. He smiled weakly at him. "...You're a real mess..." he said softy as he raised his hand to his face to wipe his eyes. He could tell how weak Celestine was just by looking at him, and that was a little worrisome. Celestine was really small, but he was pretty strong considering his size. He knew he was injured but he didn't think a bunch of bruises should do this much to him. Then he remembered the poison and the face that he'd been down for the count for a few days so he guessed he really hadn't eaten a whole lot. "...You hungry?" he asked and then sighed heavily when Celestine shook his head. "Wrong answer...what do you want?"
Celestine just sighed again and wiped his eyes. "...Not meat." he said simply. He didn't really care other than that. Kanone shook his head. "...You are the weirdest dragon I have ever met, ya know..." He said as he patted him on the head. He looked down to Aamori again and sighed. "Umm....you hungry?" Hikari laughed softly at LaRae's last comment and shook her head. "Aww I'm glad you remembered." she said as she reached down to take her right ankle. She looked at it for a moment. "Hmm...well it doesn't seem too bad and it's not swelling." she smiled and just closed her eyes, holding her ankle up for a moment as the pale glow surrounded her hand. She wasn't really healing anything since there wasn't really anything to heal, but she was trying to nullify the pain and get everything back to normal in that area. "There..." she said once she opened her eyes after the glow had faded. She put LaRae's foot down and laughed softly, "See if that helped." Nanashi smiled slightly at LaRae and then glanced to Hikari while she worked with LaRae's ankle. He glanced back to her and loosened his grip on her finally since he just remembered that he was still clinging to her. Well, he guessed she didn't really need to sit on him anymore. |
Aamori moved her hand from her head and started to push herself back up into a seated position once she heard Kanone ask if she was hungry. She shook her slightly in response. "...I'm not hungry right now." She said quietly before pushing herself up from the couch. She wobbled slightly and then started to walk towards the hall. She couldn't stomach any food right now, but she did want some more water. She continued into the hall and back down to the kitchen, straight over to the sink to pick up the glass she'd been using. She wasted very little time filling it with water and taking a few sips from it before turning slightly and leaning against the counter.
LaRae had been pretty sure that her ankle wasn't that bad off. She thought just staying off of it for a little while would do away with the pain. She'd only brought it up to avert the attention. But she would be happy to be able to get back onto her feet sooner, even though she was comfortable just sitting on Nanashi's lap. She looked down and watched as Hikari started on her ankle. When she finished she smiled a little and then nodded before starting to get to her feet. She stood up straight and put her weight down on her foot, then shifted the weight between her feet for a moment before looking back to Hikari. "Thanks, Hikari." She paused. "Can't feel any pain anymore. I really appreciate it." She said with a nod. |
Kanone nodded slightly to Aamori and watched her get up and walk away from the couch and head back toward the kitchen. He sighed softly and shook his head before placing his hand on Celestine's head again. "...I'll see if I can find you something...no meat, I promise." he said with a slight smile before he started back toward the hall himself, walking quickly past the closed bedroom door and into the kitchen. He smiled weakly at Aamori and then glanced over to Nero. "...Morning..." he said quietly. He decided not to say his name just in case he messed it up again. he still wanted to call him Nemo.
Hikari laughed softly and nodded to LaRae. "No problem, glad I could help." She gave them both a smile and then headed back to the night stand. "I just came to get my comb, I didn't meant to interrupt anything." she said lightly. She picked her comb up and then started for the door, "So, I will leave you two alone again." she said as she slipped out of the room again and closed the door behind her before she started back to the room she was in before, tugging the comb through her hair on the way. Nanashi sighed heavily once LaRae got out of his lap and then watched Hikari head for the door, blushing yet again at her comments. Once she was out of the room he just shook his head and laughed softly. "...Wow..." That was about the only think that he could think of to say. |
Aamori sighed softly when she saw Kanone come into the kitchen. She continued taking sips from the glass periodically. She continued to lean against the counter trying for the most part to just ignore her headache. It'd go away eventually, or she'd wind up laying down, maybe napping it away. She glanced briefly over to Nero when Kanone said morning and then looked back to Kanone. She closed her eyes gently before opening her mouth. "So, do you think he'll stop thinking it's all his fault?" She asked quietly.
Nero glanced up briefly when Kanone spoke. He looked over at him for a moment and then lowered his head again. "Morning, Kanone." He replied. He'd had been paying attention to those who came in and out of the kitchen, just barely lifting his head or even acknowledging them. But since Kanone had taken the time to say something, obviously directed at him, he felt the need to respond. Kyran was still partially laying on the bed. He hadn't moved since he laid back and was just relaxing with his eyes shut. He finally stretched a bit more, putting his arms over his head and listening to his elbows pop. He sighed softly and just let his arms lay where they dropped. LaRae gave a slight nod when Hikari said she had just come into the room to get her comb and then watched as she left the room. She sighed softly and turned around to look at Nanashi smiling softly. "Are you alright?" She paused. "Seemed like Hikari really startled you." She said quietly. She wasn't really too concerned about showing any affection to Nanashi around anyone else in the group. The only person she ever worried about seeing it was Renzo, just because she knew that wouldn't end well. She glanced down to her ankle for a moment and then looked back to Nanashi. "Well, I guess you can get up now. Since my ankle isn't bothering me anymore I've got no reason to keep you stuck in that chair." |
Kanone half smiled at Nero and then looked over to Aamori again when she spoke and sighed softly. "...I hope so... I don't know what else to say to him..." He knew that what he'd said could never really be taken back. Maybe in a way it was true...for him at least. He was so jealous of Celestine when it came to his mother since she babied him so much and half ignored him whenever Celestine was around. That was the only reason that he would have been better off without Celestine around. He shook his head and walked over to the counter, glancing around for some kind of fruit or vegetables that Celestine could munch on.
Hikari came back into the room and smiled slightly when she saw how Kyran was laying. She slowly crept over to the bed and carefully stuck the decorative comb into her hair before she pounced onto Kyran's middle carefully so that she didn't really hurt him. "Hello!" she said playfully, leaning down to kiss his forehead again. Nanashi smiled slightly at LaRae and nodded. "Yes...I'm fine...she just scared me." he said with a weak laugh. "...Knee-jerk reaction..." he shook his head and stood up, stretching a little once she said that he could get up. "Heh...I didn't mind." he told her lightly. |
Aamori opened her eyes and looked to Kanone after finishing off her glass of water. "Just don't give him the chance to doubt what you said." She paused. "If he's given that chance, then everything you said will have been in vain." Or so she thought, anyway. She turned around and filled her glass again before taking another sip. She glanced back over to Kanone. "...If there isn't a fruit or something, I think bread would help with a sensitive stomach. Plus it doesn't really need to be chewed too much." She said quietly.
Kyran had relaxed rather easily while she was away, though he startled when she pounced him. He hadn't been expecting her to do that, and he hadn't been paying attention to anything around him. He smiled softly after she kissed his forehead again. "C'mon now, you go and remind me of how Marius would feel about these things and yet you come and jump on me like this... That's hardly fair..." He said with a pseudo pout before laughing softly. LaRae stepped closer to him once he stood up and wrapped her arms around his torso to give him a hug. She rested her head against him and smiled a bit. "I'm just glad you didn't drop me as soon as she walked in." She said with a soft chuckle. She honestly felt, briefly, like she was going to hit the floor when Hikari came into the room. She sighed softly. "...So, you're always going to react that way when someone happens to see us together like that?" She asked curiously. |
