Kanone sighed softly, and shook his head and then glanced over to her and chuckled softly. "Aww...and it's such fun watching him eat rabbit food." he said playfully as he went to the bread box and opened it to get out a few slices of bread for Celestine. "...Well...I guess we'll see what happens..." he said softly as he got down a glass and filled it with cold water before he started back to the living room again to go hand it to Celestine.

Hikari laughed softly and shook her head at Kyran. "Well...Marius isn't watching." she said lightly, "Besides...I couldn't resist with you all stretched out like that." she said lightly as she rolled off to the side and pulled the comb from her hair to resume combing the knots out of it. Once she was finished picking at it she wound most of it up in the back and then shoved the comb down into her hair to hold it in place. Luckily that comb was as decorative as it was functional.

Nanashi smiled weakly. "...I'll...try not to...." he said quietly. "...It's just...um...well you know...." he rubbed the back of his head before he wrapped his arms around her. "...I'm just a little skittish... the right person sees me with you like this and I may lose a tooth." he said with a soft laugh. He shook his head and then leaned his head down against hers. "I usually try to avoid pretty girls like the plague... I get to close to one and some overprotective guy comes along." He said sounding a little annoyed, "Funny thing is...I was never paying attention to the girl when I got accused of it." he said with a soft laugh, "You're the first one I've really given anyone a reason to want to hit me for." He nuzzled his head against hers and sighed, "...And...I don't think I care if they do." he said as an after thought.

Aamori shook her head lightly at what Kanone said and then watched him pull out some bread. She sighed softly and turned back to her glass to finish off the remaining water in it. Once it was empty she set it back down in the sink. She stood there for a few moments before turning around to head back to the living room herself.

Kyran sat up after Hikari rolled off to the side and shook his head lightly. "He wasn't watching before, either." He pointed out. He looked over at her once she had finished with her hair and smiled slightly. He lifted up his hand and reached over placing it on her cheek lightly and turning her head gently towards him. Then he leaned in and pressed his lips to hers. He smiled warmly as he pulled back and let his hand fall from her face. "I couldn't resist." He said quietly with a soft laugh.

LaRae gave a soft sigh after listening to Nanashi. She hadn't really given it much thought until he brought it up, but now that she was thinking about it she could definitely understand his uneasiness in such situations. She didn't think that anyone in the group was going to do anything if they saw how affectionate her and Nanashi were with one another. Though, out in public she'd worry a little more. She didn't think that anyone who saw would do anything unless they were from one of their two clans, but she could wrong. The last thing that she heard him say made her smile a little. She didn't want to have him hurt but him saying that he didn't think he cared if they did, was surprisingly sweet. She lifted her head up a little and looked at him for a brief moment before she lightly pressed her lips to his. When she pulled back she was noticeably blushing. She stared at him for a moment and then averted her eyes.

Kanone went straight back to the living room and plopped down on the couch beside Celestine with a soft sigh. "...Well this was all I could find for right now." he said as he handed the bread over to Celestine.

Celestine looked down at the bread and sighed quietly. He still didn't really want it but he took it and nibbled on the corner unenthusiastically. He wasn't taking much more than little mouse sized bites and already he didn't want to eat the rest. Even still he forced himself to keep eating, though he nearly choked on one bite since his mouth was rather dry and the bread was dry as well. He just kept trying to swallow until it went down and then held his hand out for the glass of water, taking a long sip when Kanone handed it over.

Hikari smiled slightly at Kyran's first comment and then turned her head when he placed his hand on her cheek, thinking for a moment that he just wanted to see what she looked like with her hair up since she usually always had it down. She blinked when he kissed her and then smiled when he pulled back and giggled quietly. "Apparently neither could I." she said lightly.

Nanashi wasn't really paying attention at first, at least until he felt her lips against his. He nearly jerked away from her, but he stopped himself just in time to realize exactly what was happening. By the time she pulled back his eyes were locked in a kind of dazed wide-eyed stare, though he didn't really seem to be looking at her, and his own cheeks were a few shades darker as well. He opened his mouth like he was about to say something but no sound came out. The poor guy looked like she'd just put him into shock, which...was a pretty good possibility.

Aamori returned to the living room and stepped over towards the coffee table, sitting down on the floor in front of it. She looked over at Kanone and Celestine. She was at least glad to see that Celestine was making an honest attempt at eating the bread that Kanone had given him. She lifted her arms up and crossed them over the top of the coffee table before leaning her head down onto her arms.

LaRae lifted her eyes after a few moments and looked at Nanashi. She was a little surprised seeing his expression. She was a little embarrassed now, since kissing his lips left him looking the way he did. She started to let him go and drop her arms back down to her sides with a weak smile. "...A-are you okay?" She asked quietly while averting her eyes again.

Cyndel 09-01-2008 03:22 AM

Nanashi looked down at LaRae when she released him and continued to stare at her with that shocked expression. His heart was pounding again and he felt like he had butterflies fluttering around in his stomach. After a moment a wide smile spread across his face, probably the biggest that any of them had ever seen on his expression, and he threw his arms back around her, picking her up and spinning around with her a couple of time as he laughed. Once he sat her down again he nuzzled against her and laughed again. Oh yes, he was just fine.
She'd just made his decade.

The next couple of days dragged by rather slowly. Marius was being very quiet and spending most of his time in his room, really only coming down when someone needed him or to eat. Kanone had finally gone back to his house long enough to get a change of clothes but otherwise he was hanging around Marius' house more than anywhere. Celestine was getting better slowly. Between Hikari, Kanone, and surprisingly enough, Nanashi talking him into eating he was getting his strength back. Nanashi had just been bringing him food and then got to talking to him so that he was so distracted that he was just eating mechanically and was done before he even realized how much he'd eaten. The boy was still very sore and bruised up, but the bruises were fading from purple to yellow and starting to go away. Celestine had gone through a few more crying fits before he started feeling better but once he was back on his feet he seemed in slightly better spirits and took to his usual of handing out on the roof. Nanashi had been acting pretty lively since LaRae had kissed him, and he couldn't help but smile at her every time he got near her. So long as they were in here where no one was bothering him, he seemed pretty happy, though he couldn't promise that would last one they were back on the road. Thankfully...by now the could probably go. Celestine was still recovering but he was well enough to travel again if they got moving.

LaRae was in the kitchen cleaning up the mess from lunch. All she had left to do was finish washing the dishes that everyone had used, and the ones she used to cook with. She really did enjoy cooking, even when it came to cleaning up the mess afterward. The only thing she wasn't looking forward to with fixing food was when there was no kitchen to cook in. She knew how to cook without a stove and proper utensils but it was such a pain. She was trying to finish up what she had left to clean quickly. The topic of leaving had been mentioned a couple times between Kyran and Aamori and she didn't want to chance missing too much of the conversation now that they'd left the kitchen and had gone where she couldn't listen to what was being said.

Kyran was sitting in the chair, leaned back with his ankle resting against his opposite knee. He was thinking that they would be able to leave soon since Celestine was looking better. He wouldn't admit it but he was thinking that they had spent more then enough time here, they really did need to move on to Kairava. He just hoped that Aamori had some rough idea on where they would have to go to find the relic for her clan. He glanced over at her. "So... Aamori." He paused. "Is there any other way to get into the islands of Kairava, other than by the main pier?" He asked curiously. He'd been to Kairava at least once or twice before and either time he had to take a boat from the main pier. He thought since Aamori was from Kairava, she might know another way. The trek back towards the point where all the territories came together, just to reach the beach the pier was on sounded like more trouble then it was worth.

Aamori had been sitting in the living room on the floor in front of the coffee table. She glanced up and over to Kyran when she heard him ask his question. She was a little surprised by his question, mostly because she hadn't thought anyone else in the group had ever been to Kairava. She should've known that of all of them, Kyran had been there before. She shook her head lightly. "No. That pier is the only way into the islands unless you fly." She answered. "But the flight would be hard on the wings... and well... I don't exactly fly very well as is..." She said quietly. There really wasn't any other way to get to the islands. Since the territory's water touched both Caledonia and Glenys there weren't piers either of the those territories. So the main way in and out was by boat from the pier at the beach near the point where all the territories touched one another. Even if there was another way in, or out, she wouldn't have said. If she'd been given that knowledge it wasn't meant to he spread around.

Cyndel 09-01-2008 05:24 AM

Nanashi was still sitting in the kitchen at the table, waiting patiently for LaRae to finish the dishes. He would have offered to help but he had a feeling that he would just be in her way. Besides she seemed to be enjoying herself. He smiled slightly as he watched her and then let his eyes wander to the window. He wasn't too thrilled about their next destination but he was trying not to worry too much about it. The people of Kairava weren't the friendliest the one time that's he's ventured there so he'd left pretty quickly and not bothered to go back. The scenery was something else though. Mostly he was hoping that they would be flying to the islands. He'd never been on a boat before but he tended to get a little motion sick so he didn't know how he would handle being on a rocking boat.

Hikari was sitting on the couch beside Kanone, leaning back with her eyes closed. She had just been listening to Kyran and Aamori talk about how to get to Kairava. "...That's a long walk..." she said with a soft sigh. It would probably take them a little while just to even get to the pier. She opened her eyes again and raised her head up to look at them. She wasn't too thrilled about going just yet, mainly just because Celestine wasn't 100% better, but even he was saying that they were just wasting time now. Someone was going to have to call him off of the roof when they were ready to go because that was where he'd retreated to after lunch.

Kanone sighed softly when they brought up leaving again and he looked off to the side, trying not to make eye contact with anyone. He was going to miss this crazy bunch when they left, especially Aamori and Celestine. "...Are you leaving today?"

Yotsy 09-01-2008 06:34 AM

LaRae made quick work of the dishes and then washed her hands. She started to dry her hands on her jeans and then looked over to Nanashi with a smile. "You know, you didn't have to sit there while I did the dishes." She said as she stepped away from the sink. "Well... I'm going to go sit with the others now. You coming?" She asked and then started for the hall. She didn't bother to wait and see if he was coming with her, she was pretty sure that he'd follow. She went straight for the living room and went to sit down on the floor near Aamori. She had hoped she hadn't missed too much of the conversation, she was sure they had been talking about leaving.

Kyran nodded after Aamori finished and then glanced over to Hikari when she said that it was a long walk. He knew it was, which was why he was hoping there was another, faster way into Kairava. Unfortunately it was a rather long walk, also unavoidable unless they flew. He sighed softly and then looked to Kanone when he heard his question. "Well, that depends on how Celestine feels." He paused. "We are working with time constraints and the sooner we can get going the better." He turned his attention back to Aamori, after noticing LaRae come in. "When you said that flying is going to be hard on the wings, what exactly did you mean?" He asked, obviously wanting to take another route into Kairava.

Aamori glanced over at Kanone for a moment when he asked if they were leaving today and sighed softly. She was going to miss him when they did actually leave. It was nice being around him, she really liked his sense of humor. She looked over at LaRae when she sat down near her and then looked at Kyran when he started asking another question. She gave another sigh before answering him again. "The islands, as you know are practically in the middle of Kairava. Which of course will make the flight long, with no places to stop and rest. On top of that, there is a thick fog that surrounds the outer most islands." She paused. "The fog is thick enough that it's easy to get turned around in... So even if someone carried me, like you're thinking it would still be difficult. Not to mention you have Nobu you'd have to carry too." She sat there quietly for a moment before opening her mouth again. "I can't very well stop you, if most of you would rather fly... but I still suggest going to the pier." She paused. "You know... flying from here to the pier would be faster than walking..."

Cyndel 09-01-2008 07:00 AM

Nanashi looked back to LaRae when she spoke and laughed softly. "You say tat as if I had something else to do." he pointed out. He nodded when she asked if he was going to come with her and then stood up and followed her down the hall to the living room. He watched her go sit on the floor and then just went to lean against the wall beside the couch, crossing his arms lightly over his chest while he listened to the rest of the conversation.

Hikari listened to what Aamori was saying and then nodded. "I agree with her, I think it would probably be safer to to go the pier. Celestine is up and running but I don't think he could stand flying that far without a rest and like she said...there's a lot to carry if we fly." she pointed out. She nodded again when she said that it would be faster to fly from here to the pier. "Two for two." she said with a smile cast at Aamori.

Kanone sighed softly and then smiled slightly. "I'd say Cel's ready to go whenever you all are. He's been getting pretty restless." he pointed out. He then glanced over to Nanashi for a second, "Oh yeah...I do have something to give you before you go though." he said as he stood up, "I forgot abut it before, but that spetum comes apart int he middle and has a holder that goes on your back. If you guys are going to be going for a while you'll probably be better off with two hands." he said lightly.

Nanashi looked over to Kanone and blinked. "Oh...um...yeah I guess so." he said with a weak smile. "Thank you." Uhg...everyone keeps reminding me...

Yotsy 09-01-2008 07:53 AM

Kyran sighed after hearing Hikari agreeing with Aamori. He guessed it would be better to go to the pier rather than try and fly straight through to one of the islands. He hadn't even remembered the fog until she brought it up. He felt like he should've remembered that. It wasn't exactly something easily forgotten since the fog that surrounded the islands was nearly a mile or two wide. "Okay, okay. The pier then. We'll fly there and hop a boat." He said before glancing back to Aamori. "...Let me guess... that's the only way out of Kairava too?" That darned territory sure had a nice little defense in place with that fog and the only way in and out being by boat. He was a little curious to know if that fog was real or if it was artificial. "And I guess who ever wants to, can go let Celestine know that we've already decided how we're leaving. We just need to know when exactly."

Aamori looked over at Hikari and smiled a bit, seeing as she was agreeing with her. Thankfully that had saved her from having to debate it any further with Kyran. She glanced back over to him and nodded weakly when he asked if that was the only way out too. Of course it was. If there was an alternate way out, then surely there would've been another way in. She sighed softly and then started to get to her feet after the last thing that Kyran said. "I guess I can go tell him and find out when we're going to head out." She said as she stretched a bit and then headed for the front door.

LaRae sat there quietly and listened to them talk about leaving. She was ready to leave, and a little excited about seeing where Aamori was from. She remembered Aamori talking about Kairava a lot when they were younger, but she never got to see it for herself. She glanced over to Kanone for a moment when he started talking to Nanashi. She quirked her brow slightly hearing that the spetum came apart. She'd never seen a pole arm that could do that. Then again she never cared much for those types of weapons so of course she didn't know too much about them. Now that it was brought up though, she was curious to know how that thing even came apart.

Cyndel 09-01-2008 08:27 AM

Hikari nodded slgihtly when Aamori said that she would go get Celestine. "Good...ha ha I think he's had all of me he can stand for a bit." she said with a soft laugh. She watched Aamori go and then sighed softly and leaned her head back against the couch again, closing her eyes once more, though she glanced over to Kanone when he mentioned Nanashi's weapon. Well at least that would save him having to carry it everywhere.

Kanone glanced to Aamori and smiled weakly, "You know where to find him..." he said, pointing up. He didn't know what that kid's fascination with laying on the roof was but he seemed to like it up there. He sighed, "Well, be right back." he said before he started to the door. He guessed he'd best go grab that thing while he remembered it and had time to show Nanashi how it worked.

Nanashi watched Kanone leave and then sighed softly ans slipped around the arm of the couch, sitting down on the opposite end from where Hikari was. He kind of wondered how that thing came apart as well since it didn't look like it should. Then again, it wasn't like he'd studied it all that close either.

Celestine was just laying on the slanted roof with his arms crossed behind his head as he stared up at the clouds. Lani was perched one his right knee with was drawn up a bit. He had been the first to be finished with lunch so he'd been up here for a little bit. Lani had been keeping him company up here for a while. He guessed she could sense that he was still pretty miserable. He still hadn't even offered to smile at anyone at all, not even her, since the incident. He was feeling better physically, but he was still having a hard time with Sonia's death though he had at least finally stopped crying about it. Just because he couldn't gt over it didn't mean he was going to keep everyone else miserable. That's why he was up here.

Yotsy 09-01-2008 09:03 AM

Kyran looked up at Aamori and then to Kanone when they both started to leave. He shut his eyes lightly and then gave a soft sigh. "I wonder how much thought she's given to the whereabouts of that relic..." He said quietly. He'd asked that at least once before, but he kept forgetting to ask Aamori directly. He still had plenty of time to ask her. He really wasn't looking forward to having to fly to the pier just to be able to get into Kairava. For some reason that really felt like more work than what was needed. At least it would save him from having to carry Nobu for a great distance. That darn canine really weighed a ton when he was relaxed.

Aamori acknowledged Kanone when he said she knew where to find Celestine. Of course she knew where he was. Back in Radha he was in the same place; On the roof. She sighed softly once she'd stepped out onto the porch. He had to be somewhere high that would require her to use her wings to get to him. She walked off the porch and took a few steps before turning around and looking up at the roof. "...Hey, Celestine." She paused. "I know you're up there... Can I talk you into coming down here so I can talk to you?" She asked. "I'd like to save myself the embarrassment of trying to get up there, where you are..." She added lastly, hoping he'd heard her.

LaRae glanced over to Kyran for a moment when she heard him say that he'd wondered if Aamori had thought about the whereabouts of the relic. She shook her head a little. "I doubt she's thought about it, to be honest." She started. "A lot has gone on since we've been here so her mind, just like all of ours has been everywhere but on the objective. At least until now."

Cyndel 09-01-2008 09:30 AM

Hikari raised her head slightly again and smiled slgihtly at Kyran, "You keep asking everyone but her." she said with a soft laugh. She then glanced over to LaRae and nodded. "That's true, too... We all keep getting a bit sidetracked, and I can imagine that we will continue to do so in the future... We are still making decent time. There are only five territories to go so even if we spent two weeks in each of the remaining territories that would still only take up two and a half months...and after the next five days are up we have about four remaining."

Nanashi just sighed heavily and laid his head back against the couch. "...I could be in Cináed for the remainder of that time and still have no idea where to start..." he muttered quietly. Of course bringing it up made him think and he honestly wouldn't' know which way to go once they got there. Cináed was nothing but sand and volcanoes with a couple of scattered oasis, which were where the towns were centered.

Kanone side glanced at Aamori as he stepped off the porch after her and then started jogging down the road ward his house to get what he was after.

Celestine raised his head a little when he heard Aamori's voice and then sighed softly as he sat up. He stroked Lani's wing once and then gave her a gentle push to get her to go and followed her with his eyes as she took off from his knee and went to perch in a nearby tree. He just stood up and dusted himself off before he walked to the edge of the roof and stepped off, opening his winds to slow his fall. He normally one have landed on both feet but since his left side was still pretty sore he touched down on his right foot and then went into a crouch before he stood up and looked at Aamori blankly. "What is it?"

Yotsy 09-01-2008 10:23 AM

Kyran nodded slightly after listening to LaRae and then he glanced over to Hikari. He shook his head lightly. "There is no guarantee that we will spend two weeks or less in any of the remaining territories." He paused. "I honestly think we're lucky to have spent such little time in Radha, and then here." He sighed softly. "And I'm pretty sure that more than just Nanashi have no idea where to start when it comes to finding their relic." He paused. "Not to mention a good chunk of the remaining territories are only going to get more difficult to traverse... So four months, I can only hope will be enough." He said the last part under his breath as he leaned his head back against the chair.

LaRae listened to everything that was said and then leaned forward slightly resting her arm to the coffee table. She looked at Nanashi for a moment before turning her eyes over to Kyran. "Traveling through Medini isn't going to be easy... It's nothing but lush forests where you can barely see the sky through the trees." She paused. "Walking through that alone is going to be time consuming since you can't very well fly through the forests." She shrugged lightly. "But that's neither here nor there since we're not headed there yet." She hadn't really thought very much about her own relic yet. That was the least of her worries at the moment. Though, she probably should've been more concerned on it's whereabouts. Now that she was thinking about it herself she wasn't sure where to start either, and had no idea who she could even ask. It wasn't like she could go asking her foster parents about it or even the elder of their family. She sighed heavily wishing she hadn't even thought about it to begin with.

Aamori watched as Celestine came down from the roof like she asked. She half expected him to just stay up there and stare down at her. "The rest of us talked about leaving and how to go about it." She started. "We'll have to get to the main pier in Kairava. Of course that requires heading towards the spire, and then crossing over to the beaches at the base of my territory. We'll have to fly there to save ourselves some time." She paused. "From the pier onward, I can handle the rest. I just need you to get us to the base where the beaches meet Caledonia. Then, lastly, when are you ready to leave?"

Cyndel 09-01-2008 10:53 AM

Hikari sighed softly, "I'm well aware of that, Kyran..." she said simply, "I was just point out that so far we are making decent time." She wasn't very worried about getting to Glenys. Barring any unforeseen she was pretty sure they could be in and out in a week or so because she was already almost 100% certain that she knew where her relic was, she just needed to check a map and make sure. Now as far as what was guarding it and how to get it, that was a mystery, but she was pretty sure she knew where to look.

Nanashi rubbed his head slightly, "...Honestly having a guardian in my case may make things easier. For all I know whoever hid the thing could have dug a hole and buried it in the sand and the likelihood of it being found is slim to none. Maybe finding some big ferocious beast will be easier than a little crystal ball." He sat up and leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "But I guess I have plenty of time to think." Cináed was a good distance away, though they could have gone there second rather than Caledonia had they gone the opposite direction.

Celestine nodded slightly. "Alright. I know the way." he said simply. All they really had to do was head over the mountains and further inland until they got to the bay, it wasn't really hard to find and actually wasn't a horrible fright from here. He shrugged when she asked when they were going to leave. "Whenever everyone is ready." he said simply, "I can go any time." Honestly he'd been ready, mentally eat least, to leave yesterday.

Yotsy 09-01-2008 11:31 AM

Kyran looked over at Hikari and sighed. "...I guess since Celestine hasn't been the one voicing his worry over the time, I've taken it up in his stead..." He muttered. He wasn't usually worrying about the time, but he definitely was this time and the more he thought about it the more he felt he was worrying for little to no reason. They were making good time after all. He shifted his glance over to Nanashi and he tried not to laugh at his mention of the relic being buried in the sand. "I think I'd rather play in the sand then deal with some beast. I've had enough beasts already..."

Aamori wasn't surprised to hear he could anytime. She sighed softly. "I think the rest of us are ready, well minus gathering our things. We've just kind of been waiting for you to be well enough to head out." She started to walk back over to the porch and then paused. "Oh, and Kanone's supposed to be coming back with something for Nanashi. So I guess now we're just waiting on him." She said as she looked back over at him. She stepped up onto the porch and stood there quietly for a moment. "...Are you really ready to leave them already, Celestine?" She asked quietly, of course referring to Kanone and Marius.

Cyndel 09-01-2008 11:57 AM

Hikari smiled slightly at Kyran and shook her head. "Well like you said before...I guess someone needs to worry." she said lightly. "I think we can be in and out of Glenys in a little over week, give or take a couple of days. The terrain isn't difficult to navigate and I have a good idea of where to go. I just need to check over a few things before we try to get there...namely making sure I know where the place is." she said with a soft laugh. She glanced at Nanashi and smiled at him, shaking her head.

Nanashi looked at Kyran and smiled weakly before he sighed. "Yeah, me too...and I didn't even make it to see the second one." he said dully. He was still rather annoyed that the airborne poison had affected him so greatly, but in the end it was probably a good thing. Celestine was a pretty good fighter, or at least make himself out to be, and he came back nearly dead.

Celestine sighed softly, "Well sorry to be a holdup..." he said dully. He watched her head for the porch and then glanced back toward the street where Kanone had disappeared to. He glanced back to Aamori again when she asked if he was really ready to leave. He stared at her for a moment and then sighed softly. "...I don't have a choice." he said quietly, "We don't have time..." He shook his head and then turned and started toward the porch again and started up. "...Tell everyone to start gathering their things... I am going to go talk to Marius for a few minutes." he said simply, "...to let him know that we're leaving."

Yotsy 09-01-2008 08:41 PM

Kyran was a little glad to hear that at least one of them remaining had given some thought to where their relic was. That was going to save some time. He just hoped it was going to be quick and easy. Though, that could have been hoping for too much. He looked back over to Nanashi and sighed softly. "Trust me, you're better off not having to have dealt with the second one." He paused. "There was barely anything that any of us could really do against it." He said with a sigh.

Aamori shook her head lightly. "It was important that you got better so I hardly see how that makes you a holdup. It's much better to continue on when you're not in such a shabby shape, but I'm sure you know that already." She uttered. She just looked at him for a moment when he said there wasn't time and that he didn't have a choice. If he wanted to stay a little longer than she wouldn't tell him he couldn't. It wasn't that crucial that he come with them right away. So he could very well stay here with them a little longer and catch up with the group later if he wanted. She stepped closer to the door and opened it so that she could slip inside after nodding slightly to his telling her to tell everyone to get their things together. She went straight to the living room and sighed softly. "He's ready to go. So we need to get our things."

Once inside Celestine hurried to the stairs without a word to anyone. As soon as he got to the top he started down the hall to Marius' room. He knocked lightly on the door before he opened it and stepped inside. "...Marius...The others and I...are going to be leaving today." he said softly. "I would stay longer but....we have a lot of ground yet to cover."

Marius looked up at Celestine from where he was sitting on the bed and nodded slightly. "I understand." he said quietly. He stood up and walked over to Celestine, wrapping his arms around him tightly. "You will be missed."

Nanashi nodded slightly after what Kyran said. "I gathered as much..." he said quietly. He looked back to Aamori when she said that they should all start gathering their things. He hadn't even noticed Celestine come in and slip up the stairs. His things were pretty much together, he was just waiting for Kanone to get back. He glanced to Hikari and was about to move to get out of her way when she stopped him, so he just settled back int he couch again.

Hikari looked over to Aamori and then sighed softly and nodded. She pushed herself up from the couch and then slipped past Nanashi, putting her hand on top of his head to keep him from standing up since it looked like he was about to when she got up. She smiled at him and then headed to the hallway to get her belt and pack from the other bedroom. While she was in there she grabbed Celestine's bag for him as well to save him from having to go back in there again. She put her belt back on with her pack hanging at her side and then set Celestine's bag down on the floor beside his swallow int he living room when she returned.

Kanone finally came running back up to the house and stopped on the porch to grab the spetum from where it was propped against the wall of the house before he stepped inside. "Whew..." he breathed as he walked into the living room with the holster draped over his shoulder. He walked up to Nanashi and smiled, "Okay...This is pretty self explanatory but I'll show you how it works anyway." he said lightly, "This just goes on like this..." he said, as he slipped his arms and wings through the leather straps so that the holster was against his back between his wings. The straps buckled so that the length could be adjusted or it could be put on easier, but Kanone was just trying to give him the quick 'how to.' "Then this...just twists apart, but you have to do it a certain way..." He slid his hands down to the middle of the metal pole and placed his hands on either side of a small break in the metal that was kind of hard to see unless you were looking for it. He then gave it a hard twist to the left until it stopped at about the halfway point, then he pulled it up, then twisted it back to the right and pulled it apart. "That way it doesn't fly apart on you while you're using it." he said with a soft laugh, "Well unless you want it to." He then turned the weapon so that the area that screwed together was pointed up then flipped the weapon over his head and pushed the pole ends down into the two loops in the back, leaving it so that the pointed ends were sticking up just behind his head at a slightly tilted angle. "Got it?"

Nanashi stared at him for a minute and then nodded. "...Um...yeah..." he said blankly, "Though don't expect me to find where that thing goes without poking around for five minutes."

Kanone laughed softly, "If it only takes you that long you'd have me beat when I first got the thing. Don't worry you get used to it pretty fast." He said as he started to take the holster off, leaving the weapon inside.

Kyran looked over to Aamori briefly when she said that they needed to get their things. He, at least didn't have to go too far to get his things together. All he was lacking were his blades and they were laying on the floor beside the chair he was sitting in. He pushed himself up from the chair and stretched a bit before reaching down to pick up his blades. He then looked them over momentarily, then slipped them back into his holster. His attention was pretty easily snagged when Kanone had come back into the house and had immediately started showing Nanashi how everything worked with the spetum. He just stood there watching until Kanone started to remove the holster and then shook his head lightly. He certainly was glad that he didn't have to do anything like that for his blades. That would probably take him forever to figure out, even with being shown how to do it.

LaRae turned slightly to look at Aamori after she spoke. She didn't bother getting up, she had nothing to go get. She already had her boots on and that was about the only thing she could have gotten. She looked over at Kanone when he came in and like Kyran she watched what he was doing with the spetum. She still couldn't believe that thing actually came apart, even now, after seeing him take it apart. She sat there for a few more moments and then finally started to get to her feet.

Aamori just stood there for a few minutes while she watched Hikari leave to go to the back bedroom, then Kyran holstering his blades, and finally Kanone showing Nanashi how to take apart the spetum. She hadn't seen many pole arms that could come apart like that, so of course she'd been watching intently. Once Kanone started to take the holster off she gave a soft sigh and then started for the door. She'd told everyone but Nero that they were leaving and she guessed that he must have been outside somewhere. She opened the door and slipped outside again. She didn't have to look very far because as soon as she stepped out onto the porch he'd come around from the side of the house, oddly enough with Nobu in tow. "Hey.. Nero, we're leaving here soon."

Hikari watched Kanone for a few minutes as he showed Nanashi how to work his weapon and then walked back over to the wall to get her bow and toss it over her shoulder. She then crossed her arms and sighed softly as she waited for Celestine to get back downstairs again.

Nanashi reached out to take the holster when Kanone handed it over to him and he ducked his head back slightly since the spetum's tip swung dangerously close to his face. He took a hold of the handles rather than the harness and slipped them out and hung the harness on his arm while he examined the weapon. He put the pole back together, twisting it in the opposite direction from the way that Kanone had showed him before and then leaned it against the wall while he unbuckled the holster's straps and then put them back on one at a time, adjusting them to fit him since they were set for Kanone. He then sighed and reached over to the spetum again, taking it in hand and holding it just he way that Kanone had shown him before he twisted it apart with no trouble at all, he just did it the way he'd just been shown. He truly was a fast learner. Once he had it apart again he turned it the way that Kanone had shown him and then carefully reached over his head and tried to slide the pole into the holster. He missed the first few times and then sighed, "It would be nice if I had eyes back there..." He muttered as he felt around with the edge of the poles until he felt it catch on the leather. He finally got them both in and then pushed them down before he lowered his arms and stretched them a little. That was a bit tiresome.

Kanone just stared at Nanashi when he picked up the trick of pulling the pole apart so quickly. Really it was simple to do, but sometimes the simplest things could be hard to grasp for some people. He smiled and laughed softly as he watched him try to look at his own back to see where the pole went and then patted his shoulder when he finally got it and was finished stretching.

Marius sighed softly and finally released Celestine since he'd been latched onto him for a good five minutes or more. "Well I suppose I should come down to say goodbye to the others." He said softly as he started to the hallway. He at least wanted to thank everyone once more, especially Nero. He started down the stairs slowly once he got to them and then looked over toward the living room, seeing that everyone was already preparing to go.

Celestine nodded to Marius and then followed him from the room and headed down the hallway and down the stairs right after him, though he just headed for the wall to gather his bag and his swallow, tossing both over his shoulders.

Kyran just stood where he was waiting for the word that they were leaving. He couldn't help but watch Nanashi as he put the spetum back together and then stared rather surprised by his ability to take it apart so easily. He finally thought to step away from the furniture while he had his blades in the holster. He could stand just close enough to anything and the tip of those blades would slice just about anything they touched. His leg was proof enough of that, the one time he forgot to take them off before sitting down.

LaRae of course had taken to watching Nanashi too when he started to put the weapon back together and then take it apart too. That weapon could surely be dangerous, especially if you foe didn't know that it came apart. She stood there for a moment and then thought to double check something. She stuck her hand into her back pocket and felt for that letter, just making sure that it hadn't fallen out. She gave a slightly relieved sigh when she felt it was still there and then removed her hand from her pocket. The last thing she needed was to have dropped that sometime while they were staying here.

Nero walked over to the porch and came to a stop as he looked up at Aamori. He gave a nod hearing that they were going to be leaving. That was good, they'd been here long enough. He glanced down to Nobu and patted the canine's head lightly before returning his arms to their crossed position over his chest.

Aamori just looked at Nero as he walked over to the porch and then looked down at Nobu. She was still surprised to see Nobu with Nero of all people. Though after seeing the end of an apple core hanging partially out of Nobu's mouth it made sense. Nero must have taken Nobu to get something to eat since LaRae hadn't thought to make anything for Nobu to eat too.

Marius stepped further into the living room and put up a warm smile, "I've been informed that you're moving on. I wish you all the best of luck and godspeed." he said softly. "And I want to thank you all for...helping us through the last few days. I appreciate it more than I can express with words."

Nanashi looked back to Marius when he heard him speaking and then smiled slightly at him. He nodded weakly to him in acknowledgment and then lowered his eyes again. He wasn't quite sure what to say. He just mouthed a silent 'thank you.' to him.

Hikari looked over to Marius and smiled at him, "It was out pleasure... and thank you for keeping us for so long." she said softly, giving him a respectful bow.

Kanone glanced around for a moment and then smiled slightly and rubbed the back of his head. "Okay...too formal for me, I think I'll just leave it off at thank you." he said lightly.

Celestine just stood by the door silently and sighed softly, crossing his arms. "Whenever you are ready." he said simply as he glanced off to the side.

Yotsy 09-02-2008 03:26 AM

Kyran looked over at Marius when he heard him speak and bowed his head slightly. "We're glad that we could have helped, especially in a time of need." He said and then glanced over to Celestine and sighed softly seeing that he was obviously more then ready to go. He started for the door and opened it up and then stepped outside onto the porch. He stepped past Aamori and headed down from the porch. The faster the rest of them could get outside, the sooner they'd be able to get a move on.

LaRae turned and looked over at Marius without so much as a word and just bowed herself. She then glanced back to Kanone and offered a small smile of acknowledgment to him before turning to follow after Kyran. She was prepared to get out of this territory already. She slipped down off the porch too, right past Aamori and stood off to the side of Kyran.

Aamori glanced back breifly when she heard the door open and watched as Kyran stepped past her and then LaRae not too far behind him. That was a good enough sign that they were about to leave. She sighed softly and stepped down from the porch to get out of everyone elses way that was going to be coming outside. She could honestly say that she was going to miss it here. Even with the tragedy she still rather enjoyed herself. She was going to miss Marius, it was nice to have someone to talk to, especially an Elder who could understand where she was coming from. Then, of course, she was going to miss Kanone. In the short time she'd really come to like him and he was fun to be around. At least around him she didn't have to work quite so hard for interaction, and she could still joke around act younger than she was without getting looked at funny for it. After this who trip was done and over with, she definitely thought she'd have to try and come visit at least once even if getting away from home was going to be difficult.

Nero looked up at the door when he heard it ipen and watched as Kyran and LaRae had come outside. It was about time that they were getting ready to go. He didn't mind so much being here, but he was tired of being in the same place in another territory for so long. He didn't care too much for seeing the same people when he sat outside. It wouldn't have surprised him if any of the townspeople could name anyone in the group, other than Celestine of course. It honestly felt like they'd been here that long.

Cyndel 09-02-2008 04:40 AM

Hikari sighed softly and started out after Kyran. She followed him down the steps and then stood off to the other side of him from where Aamori was. She glanced back to the house and sighed soft. She still almost hated to leave those two. She rather liked Marius and Kanone was a fun character to be around. She was going to miss both of them.

Nanashi watched as the others left the house and then slowly started out once LaRae went outside. Like everyone else he made his way off the porch and went to stand near LaRae silently.

Celestine sighed softly once everyone else was out of the house and looked at Marius and Kanone for a moment before he too turned to leave the house. He made it to the porch before he realized that he was being followed out. He sighed softly and stared off the porch, hardly even glancing back. He knew it was going to be harder if he looked back at them. He wasn't too sure that he was even coming back here when this was all over. He half wanted to but at the same time he didn't want to be anywhere near here anymore. He needed to think it over.

Marius sighed softly and stepped off of the porch, looking over to Aamori for a moment and giving her a nod before he looked to Nero. He placed his hand on his shoulder for a moment and looked at him sincerely, "And I wanted to thank you one more time before you left." he said softly. Without much warning he pulled Nero into a hug, holding onto him for a moment. "...Please...take care of my grandson." he whispered in his ear before he let him go again.

Kanone was just standing in the doorway, leaning against it but after a moment he sighed heavily and pushed away from the door before he dove off the porch and locked Aamori in a bear hug. He didn't say a word, he just nearly squeezed the poor girl in half. "One of these days I'm going to have to come to see those fish." he said with a soft laugh as he let her go after getting a not so subtle clearing of the throat from Celestine.
