Nobu lifted his head up after listening to Celestine and looked down at him. 'I don't talk to any of the others because it's more strenuous on me to force the thoughts over to them. When someone is capable of hearing me on their own then it's easier on me which makes me more likely to talk. I'd have already been talking to Kyran years ago if he'd just learn to hear me.' He said as he turned his head away. 'And, explain to me how you're so sure that you'll never see any of them again? Is that outcome honestly set in stone. I'm positive that if you really wanted to see any one of them again after all of this was over it would be possible. It sounds to me like you're just unwilling to believe that any one of them could be a good friend to you. Not to mention you would also have to work hard to keep an actual dragon as a friend. They don't exactly melt like putty into your hands at a free scratch behind the ears.' He paused. '...And good friends, they don't just go away forever and you never see them again. I'm sure everyone but you sees that... and I'd say of them all I think Aamori would try her best to see you after this is all said and done... That is if you didn't just drop off the face of Arienh.' He turned his had back so that he could look down at him again. '...You may not have meant it to sound like it did, but I am an animal after all ...that's a sad look on things you've got there. I'm sorry that it's so easy for you to let your animal friends go ...I bet the feeling isn't mutal...'

Cyndel 09-08-2008 05:29 AM

Celestine looked at Nobu again and sighed softly. "...Aamori is an elder for her clan, do you think they would let her leave and come to see someone like me? I don't know about the others... She's the only one I have much of a care to see again... and maybe Nanashi..." He actually had gotten to like Nanashi a bit over the time that they were at the house since the guy kept talking to him. But he was pretty sure that Nanashi wouldn't come to see him, not after the way those village idiots treated him when he was by himself for a few minutes. He sighed softly and sat up off of Nobu after his last statement and then placed a hand on either side of his face, "Nobu..." he sighed and stroked his head as he tried to think of how to say this. "...Most animals...don't live as long as dragons..." he said quietly. "...I said it was easier...I didn't say it doesn't hurt...I just know they won't be around too long..." He sighed again and lowered his hands from his face and his head a little. "...I know you must live a long time...but you will be going home with Kyran, and I know that... I can't take you home as much as I would like to..." He finally wrapped his arms around Nobu's neck, letting the canine's chin rest on his shoulder. "...It's hard to see you like an animal when you talk to me like this..." he admitted, which was probably why he was getting a hug rather than a pat on the head. "...I am going to miss you a lot when you go home..."

Yotsy 09-08-2008 06:00 AM

Nobu nuzzled against Celestine lightly. '...I could probably outlive any dragon.' He commented. He definitely wasn't like your average animal. Though, he did still get hurt and become sick just as easily as any other animal. Dying of old age, well, that was unlikely. '...There is a reason I follow those blades of Kyran's around as closely as I do and it isn't because I like them.' He paused. 'I'll live so long as those blades are still in one piece. I was born to protect them, or created... which ever way you would want to look at it. Each of the seven of us are like that.' He was quiet for a moment. '...Though I may return to Radha with Kyran, that doesn't mean I can't leave there. If he secures the blades again then I can wander where ever I want, he doesn't really own me. It's just been comfortable having a place that I could really call home, thus I've had no reason to really leave. I can visit you though, it's only a day or so run between the two territories. I can stay awhile, and then return to Kyran for a bit. It's not like you'll never ever see me again. Well, unless you told me to hit the road of course.' He paused. 'As for the other two, if Aamori is an Elder for her clan then she has the right to make her own rules. She's got no one to really tell her what she can't do. So if you wanted to see her again and she couldn't leave Kairava then she could make it so you could come here to see her. If you came to see her, I'm sure you'd probably get funny looks and rude treatment at first, but that's something you learn to put up with for the sake of friendship. Then... with Nanashi. I can't really say too well because I've rarely been around him, but I think he's just as starved for friends as you are. He doesn't really fit in anywhere which makes finding good friends hard... If you told him you wanted to be his friend, I'm sure he'd try to come see you.'

Cyndel 09-08-2008 06:31 AM

Celestine listened to Nobu silently. What he said made sense at least. He was still just unsure about everything. He told Kanone and Marius that he would come home, and he would...but he wasn't sure how long he would stay. He finally sighed softly when he had finished and nuzzled his head back against him again. "...I would like that..." he said quietly. At least what Nobu said made him feel a little better. He did somewhat want to be friends with them...but he just couldn't shake the thought that he wasn't going to see them again once this was over so he hadn't really seen the point. At least that made it a possibility. He sighed softly and continued to sit there nuzzling into Nobu's fur and holding him tightly, though not enough to choke him. Celestine could be really affectionate given half a chance and a good reason. He just tried not to make that too public.

Yotsy 09-08-2008 07:14 AM

Nobu was a little relieved to not hear Celestine continue on the topic this time. He was starting to run out of things to say to him. Not to mention he was starting to get tired and he did need to rest. He nuzzled back against Celestine briefly after all the affection that he was receiving. He continued to stay how he was for a moment before he opened his mouth a little and his forked tongue practically slithered out of his mouth as he went to lick the side of Celestine's face, accidentally slobbering across his ear in the process.

Cyndel 09-08-2008 07:34 AM

Celestine was pretty content with sitting there like that, though he knew that he should let up and let Nobu rest. He was just about to talk himself into letting go when he felt something slide across his face and into his ear. He let out a startled gasp and jumped back, throwing his hand to his face. He didn't know what it was until he felt the saliva and saw Nobu's tongue for a second. "Ewww..." he said with a soft laugh as he wiped his cheek on his sleeve, though he was smiling at Nobu the whole time. This was really the first that he'd even offered to smile since Sonia had died, let alone laugh. Nobu had never really acted like a dog to the point of licking him before so he was a little surprised by it...though it was a rather pleasant surprise. He didn't mind being licked just...not in the ear. He shook his head and then sat back up on his knees again and rubbed Nobu's head gently, scratching him behind the ears. "...Heh...I told you to get some rest half an hour ago. Sorry for keeping you up." he said softly before he shimmied back around beside him and laid down against him again, draping one arm over his back while he rested his head back on his shoulder again, curling his legs up beside him. "Goodnight, Nobu...and...thank you."

Yotsy 09-08-2008 07:35 PM

Nobu looked at Celestine when he moved back and put his hand to his face. He was happy at least to see that he had made Celestine laugh and smile a little even if he wasn't trying. Once Celestine started to lay back down beside him, he started to lower his head back down onto his paws. His ears perked up slightly when he heard him say 'thank you'. If not for the fact that he was tired and ready to rest he would've probably asked why he said that. He hadn't thought he did anything that required thanks. He shifted a little and got comfortable. 'Goodnight, Celestine.'

Cyndel 09-08-2008 08:20 PM

Celestine nuzzled against Nobu a little more and then sighed softly as he lay there. He still wasn't too crazy about falling asleep in here but eventually he finally gave out and his eyes closed as he drifted off to sleep. It didn't see long before the sun was already peeking through the window right into his face. He groaned softly and turned his head, trying to bury his face into Nobu's fur to keep from waking up. He really was in need of sleep last night, he was just too stubborn to acknowledge it. Now he didn't want to get up this early.

Nanashi had woken up fairly early when the sun came through the window. He yawned slightly and then looked over to LaRae and smiled, though he didn't bother to move to get out of bed or anything. He wasn't tired, but he didn't really want to go wandering around this place on his own, so he just stayed right where he was. He had nowhere else to be, anyway. After a moment he just slipped his arm around LaRae and pulled her a little closer to him. He, unfortunately, still wasn't feeling all that great, though he paid it no mind. He wasn't sick to his stomach anymore he just wasn't feeling as good as he usually did. He was pretty sure that going from one territory to the next and dealing with all of the different climates was starting to drive his weak immune system crazy. After all he had just gone from warm to chilly to kinda tropical in the span of three weeks.

Hikari was still curled up, sleeping snugly with her arms wrapped in their usual death grip around Kyran's waist, since she hadn't let go of him before she fell asleep. The sun didn't bother her, mainly because she was used to it, but she also had her face snuggled into Kyran's side, so it wasn't quite reaching her either.

Yotsy 09-08-2008 10:59 PM

Nobu was just starting to wake up after the sun filtered into the room through the window. He lifted a paw and scratched the end of his nose before lifting up his head. He turned his head and looked down at Celestine for a moment. He continued to lay there trying not to move too much since he didn't want to be the cause for waking him up.

LaRae was still asleep, though only because she was trying to keep herself from waking up. She was far too comfortable and just didn't want to get up yet. She snuggled against Nanashi when he pulled her closer. She continued to lay there for a few minutes until she finally cracked her eyes open a little and looked at him for a second before shutting her eyes again.

Kyran had already been awake, though he hadn't bothered to move. He continued to just lay there even with Hikari clung to him like she was. It didn't really bother him that he usually woke up with her stuck to him like glue. As long as it didn't hurt then he wasn't going to complain.

Aamori was woken up practically the second the sun started to rise, which was her usual routine. By the time the sun had already risen high enough into the sky to start filtering into the windows and openings of the building she was already awake, changed, and training with Hisako. She was wearing a black suit made from the same material as the one Hisako wore, though hers was completely sleeveless and it went to her neck. Hers was almost cut off like shorts rather then leggings like Hisako's. She wore a pair of boots now, made from the same wet suit material as her black suit. Her right boot was high, and stopped just at her thigh whereas the other was short and stopped at her calf. She also had a light blue colored shirt that she wore over that with a symbol on the back that signified that she was special. The only people who wore the symbol were the Elders, and the people directly linked to them. She had removed the shirt earlier in the training and it was laying over by the fountain. She was now sitting down on the ground in the middle of the stone slab in the center of the court yard. Her staff extended and laying on the ground beside her as she sat there panting heavily. "...E-enough already ...Hisako." She said as she hunched over. "I-I'm tired..."

Hisako had also removed her own coat and left it laying on the weapon rack. She stood leaning against a staff similar to Aamori's but it lacked the jewels. She shook her head and stared down at Aamori. "We've barely even started and you're already tired?" She sighed heavily. "I knew going on that trip-thing was going to be bad for you. We've only done half of what we used to and you haven't even managed to successfully block my attacks like before." She stood up straighter and slung her staff over her shoulder. "I'll give you a few minutes, but then we're training some more." She said as she started back over to the weapon rack to lean the staff against it.

Cyndel 09-08-2008 11:31 PM

After a few minutes Celestine shifted positions again with another quiet groan before he raised his head and rubbed is eyes. Why did it seem like all windows were strategically placed to that the sun was right in your face in the mornings? He sighed softly and sat up off of Nobu, looking down at him for a moment. He reached over and rubbed his ears with one hand as he stifled a yawn with the other. "...Mmm...Morning, Nobu..." he said groggily before he started to climb to his feet. He stretched out and cringed when he heard a couple of bones pop in his back, then he dropped his arms back to his sides and walked back to where he'd taken off his moccasins and flopped back down in the floor to put them back on. Normally he would have just gone barefoot, but he had a feeling if he went outside later that sand was going to be pretty warm.

Nanashi smiled slightly when he saw LaRae open her eyes and then chuckled softly when she closed them again. "I saw that...." he said quietly, "...Good morning, LaRae." He gave her a gentle squeeze and then nuzzled his head against hers before he started to push himself up a bit so he could stretch. He hadn't really moved all night, and amazingly still wasn't really stiff. "I suppose you slept well?" He asked as he looked back to her again, turning slightly in the bed.

Yotsy 09-09-2008 04:45 AM

Nobu watched as Celestine started to sit up. 'Good morning.' He paused. 'Did you sleep alright?' He asked as he started to stand up. He got back to his feet alright but he was still rather sore. He started to stretch a little from habit when he first woke up in the morning and then he whined shortly and quietly when his back cracked.

LaRae continued to lay there until he said he saw that. She smiled a little and then started to crack her eyes open again. "...Morning." She said quietly as she started to sit up in bed. She looked over at him after lifting her hand to rub her eyes gently. "Yes. I was quite comfortable." She answered. "What about you, did you sleep alright?" She asked while she started to gather her hair from behind her to see just what shape it was in.

Aamori stared at Hisako as she walked over to the weapon rack. She shook her head lightly. At least she was going to get a break. She knew that Hisako was going to want to get some training in once she got back, but she hadn't expected it to go on like she hadn't left at all. She sat hunched over for a moment and then gave a heavy sigh. She definitely hadn't missed this part of Hisako. She looked back over to Hisako and started to open her mouth now that she'd caught her breath. "...Can't we work on something else for awhile?" She asked. "I mean, I really do like sparring and everything but I'm already sweaty and tired..." She reached over and picked up her staff, depressing the button to make it retract.

Hisako turned back slightly and looked over at Aamori and shaking her head. "I can't believe you're already complaining." She uttered as she lifted up her coat a little and grabbed the small towel beneath it. She held it for a moment before tossing it over to Aamori. "Just because you're sweaty and tired doesn't mean we're going to stop." She paused. "Once we're finished you can take a bath and relax a little. Then you'll have to go visit your parents... Well, sometime today or tomorrow." She turned back to the staff she had leaned against the weapon rack and picked it up, slipping it into the rack itself seeing as Aamori was putting hers away. "Unless you think you've got something better to do, that is." She glanced back over at Aamori. "So, instead of weapon training we'll just have to do hand to hand next." She paused. "Lets just hope that your hand to hand combat skills haven't taken a beating too in these past couple weeks you've been away."

Not too long after the first thing Hisako had said a young man had stepped through the large front doors and towards the court yard. He looked a great deal like Aamori. He had the same color hair as her, just a bit shorter. It stopped just at the small of his back. His horns, tail and wings were all the same colors. Though his wings weren't exactly like hers. They didn't have all those layered sheets to them. He wore a dark blue pair of pants that stopped just about at his shins, the left leg was adorned with the symbol that both Aamori's shirt and Hisako's coat had. His shirt was made from the same black wet suit material as the girls suits. It was sleeveless and went part way up his neck. He also wore black gloves, one short one on his right hand and a longer one on his left hand along with an off white woven sash around his waist that was the same colors as the wraps he wore on his right upper arm, left wrist, and both ankles. He just stood off to the side, leaning against one of the arches while Hisako spoke. He rather easily had gone unnoticed, since neither Hisako or Aamori had acknowledged him yet. "Give her a break Hisako. Not everyone is built for nothing but battling like you are."

Cyndel 09-09-2008 05:27 AM

Celestine nodded slgihtly, "Yes, fine." he said softly and then his ears fell back slightly when he heard Nobu whine. "Oh...does your back still hurt?" he asked softly as he got up and walked back over to him and started to rub his head gently. He sighed heavily and shook his head, already knowing the answer. He ran his hand down along his back again and then stood back up. "...I'm going to go look around and get some air, do you want to come?" he asked as he started to the door and opened it. He waited a moment and then started to the door, pulling it open. He waited long enough for Nobu to make up his mind and come if he was coming and then started out, letting the door close behind him. He walked down the hall for a moment and then happened to glance toward one of the arches and see Aamori in the court yard. It was still really early, so he was kind of surprised to see her. He stepped through the arch, just on the other side of the wall from where the other young man was standing. "You're up already?" he asked, sounding a little surprised. After all he was usually the first or second one up on a good day. He was used to her sleeping like a lump until a few hours before lunch, and it looked like she'd been up for an hour. He hadn't even noticed that he wasn't the only one standing in an opening, but then again he wasn't really looking around.

Nanashi nodded to her. "Yes, I slept fine." he assured her. He didn't bother to mention how he felt, it wasn't really worth it. He just had a bit of a headache and his throat was a little raw, but not very bad, and it wasn't noticeable when he spoke. He finally stood up and glanced around the room. He wasn't too sure what to do now that he was awake. He wasn't really planing to go anywhere.

Yotsy 09-09-2008 07:14 AM

Nobu looked over at Celestine when he asked if his back still hurt. He watched him come over and then answered. 'It's not as bad as I make it sound. It is a lot better then it was yesterday, though.' He looked at Celestine again when he asked if he wanted to come with him. He wasn't sure he really wanted to walk around too much but he did want to get out of the room at least. He followed after him and slipped out the door before it was shut. He stood off to the side of the door and watched as Celestine started down the hall. He moved back to the door and then started to lay down on the ground in front of it.

LaRae groaned quietly when she saw her hair was a tangled mess. She really wished that she had thought to bring some kind of brush or something with her. She glanced back over to Nanashi once he had stood up and then turned her attention back to her hair. She started trying to work her hands through her hair and soon found herself giving up because she wasn't getting anywhere. She sighed and set her hands down in her lap. She sat there for a moment before she lifted her eyes up and looked around the room a little herself, only now taking notice to the dresser at the farther end of the room. After a little further inspection, low and behold, that dresser had a comb sitting on it. She smiled a little and swung her legs off the side of the bed and went straight over to snatch the comb up so she could start working on her hair.

Aamori took the towel to her face lightly and then heaved a heavier sigh after listening to Hisako. She really wished there were ways to talk Hisako out of training, but there weren't. Hisako was one of the few people she wasn't allowed to ignore and that was because she was a trainer who taught her the things she 'needed' to know. She was about to open her mouth to speak to Hisako when she heard her brothers voice. She smiled quite noticeably and started to get to her feet.

Hisako rolled her eyes slightly when she heard his voice. She shook her head lightly and then glanced over at him. "There you go again Yoichi, coming to her rescue." She muttered as she picked up her coat from the weapon rack. She turned slightly and looked at Aamori when she started to get to her feet. "We'll continue this later or before you go to bed." She told her as she slipped back into her coat and buttoned it up. She stood there for a moment longer before she started back through one of the arches and into the hall. She walked back over to the door she'd gone into the night before and slipped inside.

Aamori looked back to Hisako briefly when she said that they'd continue later. Well, at least her brother had managed to save her from having to train more right now. She was about to walk over to him when she heard Celestine. She smiled a bit and nodded lightly in his direction. "Yes. Being up this early is actually the start of a regular day for me." That was true at least. Hisako always made sure that she was up early and managed to get some training in before breakfast.

Yoichi stood there quietly while Hisako practically threw a fit. Thankfully that was one of her more quiet fits. He looked back to Aamori once she was standing up and tilted his head slightly when he heard her talking to someone. He had heard the voice before she started talking, but hadn't gathered that it was someone talking to any one of them. Quite a few people were in and out of this building throughout the course of the day so without a name attached to what someone said, their words could easily be over looked. He glanced around a bit and didn't see who she was talking to, at least until he peeked his head around the arch and noticed the girl he assumed she was talking to since he hadn't seen anyone else. He continued to stand where he was for a moment before he slipped back behind the arch over to the other side where the other girl was. He looked her over briefly and then smiled at her before looking back over at Aamori. "Why didn't you tell me that you were bringing such a cute looking girl back with you, Aamori?" He paused. "I might have dressed differently, had I known." He had at least assumed that the girl had come with Aamori. He doubted that Hisako would've just let the girl in if she'd shown up on the door step by herself.

Cyndel 09-09-2008 08:02 AM

Nanashi glanced back to LaRae when he heard her get off of the bed and watched her go to the mirror and snag the comb. He chuckled softly and shook his head. "...I should probably use one of those some time..." he muttered as he ran a hand through his hair. His hair wasn't too long, but it was long enough that he didn't need to just go completely without brushing it. It was just hard to brush his hair without taking his bandanna off, and he'd about rather have mats in his hair than leave that off long enough to get all of the tangles from his hair.

Celestine just crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. "Wow. And here I thought I wouldn't see you until noo--" he started in his usual quiet, almost monotone voice until he heard the other guy say something about a pretty girl. He stepped away from the wall and looked around for a second before he realized that the guy was looking at him. His cheeks blazed red after a second and he stepped away from the guy and back into the court yard closer to Aamori, though he kept his eyes on the stranger. "Wh-what!?" He shook his head. "What is it with you water dragons!?" he demanded, shaking his head. Honestly, why was it so hard for them to tell he was a guy? He was wearing boy's clothes after all, though...in other territories the men's clothes of his clan were a little questionable. To other clans they probably dressed pretty girly. Obviously at least, Nobu's talk last night had put him in a slightly better mood than he'd come here in. Otherwise he probably wouldn't have even stopped to say anything to Aamori. Though...after this he was kind of wishing that he hadn't. "What do you mean girl?"

Yotsy 09-09-2008 07:19 PM

LaRae took the comb and returned to the edge of the bed to sit down once more. She wasted very little time in getting started combing through her hair. She turned slightly so that she could look over at Nanashi while she continued to work through the tangles. "Do you want to use the comb when I'm done?"

Aamori couldn't help but chuckle a little when her brother referred to Celestine as a girl. She'd thought Celestine was a girl at first too so it was funny seeing that her brother thought the same. She looked at Celestine for a moment when he moved away from Yoichi and then shook her head lightly. "Yoichi, he isn't a she." She paused. "Though, you're not the first to mistake him for a girl." She assured him. She knew she had, and she was half sure that someone else in their group had probably thought he was a girl too. Though the thought obviously hadn't been voiced.

Yoichi tilted his head to the side slightly when the girl moved away from him and just kind of stared at her blankly for a moment. It wasn't until he heard what Aamori said that it kind of made sense. Then again his eyes were telling him that dragon was girl and he was finding it hard to believe that such a pretty thing could be a boy. Then with the clothes he just assumed the girl preferred dressing more boy-ish. There were girls that did that after all. He looked at Aamori in a complete state of disbelief. "...Are you sure that's a he?" He paused. "...Boys weren't meant to be that pretty." He commented lastly as he stepped away from the arch and a little closer towards the said boy, and his sister.

Cyndel 09-10-2008 12:19 AM

Nanashi walked back over to the bed again and sat down beside her again. "Nah..." he said quietly, "Too much of a hassle..." he told her as he ran his hand back through the part of his hair at the front that hung over his bandanna. "Most of it is caught under this thing...I'd rather not take it off."

Celestine's usually pale cheeks flushed an even deeper shade of red when the boy continued to call him pretty. He backed further away from him and closer to Aamori. "Of course she is sure!" he said, trying to keep his voice from raising. Even his voice was rather questionable. It wasn't quite deep enough to be a guy's, but at the same time it wasn't too terribly girly. He came to a stop beside Aamori and looked over to her, "Who is this idiot?" he hissed, still looking flustered. Even the feathers on his wings were fluffed up a bit. It looked like he was kind of torn between slapping the guy and going to crawl under a rock somewhere. It wasn't his fault that he was born looking more like his mother. If he had and muscles it might have helped him out a little, but unfortunately his muscles were almost nonexistent just looking at him.

Yotsy 09-10-2008 01:39 AM

LaRae continued to sit there and work the comb through her hair until she'd gotten all of the tangles out. She pushed her hair back over her shoulder then looked back over to Nanashi. She focused on his bandanna for a moment. "Oh yeah. I guess I hadn't thought about that." She admitted quietly. "You'll have to brush your hair eventually... isn't there anything you can do to keep it closed long enough to do your hair?"

Aamori looked over at Celestine when he stopped beside her and gave a small sigh after hearing his question. "...This idiot is my older brother, Yoichi." She answered. On days like this one she could definitely call her brother an idiot, even if he was really smart. "Don't mind him, he'll move on from pestering you as soon as an actual girl comes around." She said quietly.

Yoichi paused a few feet away from them and then glanced over at Aamori after hearing the other say that she was sure. He shook his head lightly as he looked back over to the other. "And how exactly is it, that you know she's sure?" He paused. "Has she seen physical proof that you're a boy like you say you are?" He asked with a quirked brow. He of course didn't even really want to hear an answer to that just on the off chance that she really was a he like they both said. He was protective over his sister and that surely, was one of the last things he wanted to hear about.

Cyndel 09-10-2008 02:21 AM

Nanashi glanced over to LaRae for a moment and half smiled when she said that she hadn't really thought about it. He as kind of glad of that. At least it wasn't burned into her memory. "...I don't know...It's not that important." He said simply, "My hair is a mess anyway, brushed or not." He reached around to the back of his head and touched the knot on the back of his bandanna. His hair was caught in that as well, so if the thing got pulled the right way he was probably going to lose a few hairs.

Celestine sighed heavily when Aamori said that he was her brother. "This is your brother?" He glanced back to Yoichi again and shook his head. "What kind of guy do you think I am?" He asked, narrowing his eyes, "Some simply have the sense to believe one when he tell his gender..." He shook his head and then crossed his arms, looking away as he tried to make the color face from his face. He finally looked at Aamori and sighed, "So how long are we locked in this building? Apparently we need your permission to even breathe while we are here." he said dully, obviously not too crazy about the who situation that Hisako had explained to them the night before.

Yotsy 09-10-2008 03:51 AM

LaRae glanced down to the comb in her hand and then held it out towards him. "The thought must have been important at some point, otherwise you wouldn't have mentioned that you should probably use the comb." She said as she looked at him again. She smiled a little. "How about this, you've got some options." She paused. "One, you could do your hair yourself. Two, you can let me do your hair for you. Then, three, I'll hold you down and do it myself." She laughed softly. "Now, which would you prefer?" She paused. "And no, there is no none of the above."

Aamori had just been staring rather wide-eyed at her brother for asking such a question. She snapped out of her slight dumbfounded-ness when she heard Celestine's rhetorical question. She heaved a sigh and nodded slightly. Unfortunately at times like this, she could honestly say she wished she wasn't related to him. She looked at Celestine when he asked how long they were locked in. She didn't care too much for his remark after the question but tried to just ignore it. It wasn't like she enjoyed having rules placed so heavily upon everyone in the group. She sighed and looked back to Yoichi. "Could you go get six passes from Hisako, and with haste." She asked unenthusiastically.

Yoichi shrugged lightly after listening to the things the boy had directed at him. "One might be more inclined to believe what one is told about gender if the said person in question doesn't happen to look the opposite of what he or she is claiming to be." He replied. "I'll go ahead and give in. You're a boy. But only because no girl in her right mind would honestly throw such a fit about being told she was pretty." He paused, laughing a bit. "You do make one very pretty girl though. I bet you'd even look good in a dress." He said half jokingly. He stared at the boy after hearing the last thing he said to Aamori and shook his head. "Watch your mouth. You can't talk to my sister like that." He said sounding annoyed. He didn't like it when people spoke to his sister like that, or in any manor in that case that sounded disrespectful. It wasn't even because she was an Elder in training. It was because she was a lady, and his little sister. He turned his attention over to Aamori for a moment, hearing her ask him to do something. He nodded slightly. "Six huh? That's a lot. Did you really bring that many people home with you?" He paused, only briefly. "Any of them really girls?" He asked sounding quite interested.

Aamori shook her head when she heard her brother continuing to pick at that nerve with Celestine. She stared at him when he started asking questions. "Yes, six. Yes, I brought them. And yes, there are a couple girls." She answered and then stepped closer to Yoichi, turning him around quickly and pushing him roughly towards the door that Hisako had gone through. "Did you not understand the word, haste?" She asked as she pushed him through the arch and watched him disappear behind the same door that Hisako had gone to. She sighed heavily and stood there for a moment before starting to turn around to look over at Celestine. "...I apologize for my brothers inability to be respectful of others along with his annoying fascination with the opposite sex." She said quietly.

Nanashi stared at LaRae for a moment and then looked down at the comb. He sighed heavily and looked away and then reached back to the knot and fumbled with it for a moment wincing when he pulled his own hair. "Ow..." he muttered until he finally got it loose. He finally lowered the bandanna down to his lay, looking at the scrunched areas from where it had been tied up for so long. He shook out his hair and then sighed as it fell over his forehead, though not quite enough to cover the golden eye which opened as soon as the bandanna was removed. He slowly turned his head to look at LaRae, though only the golden eye really remained on her, the others dropped to his lap before he looked away. His hair was pretty tangled, and it was more noticeable now that the bandanna wasn't holding half of it down. He just reached to take the comb and then started to run it through his hair quickly, and not too gently. He just wanted to get the majority of the tangles out, and he didn't really care if he pulled his hair out int he process, he just wanted to get that bandanna back on before he saw or heard something that he didn't want to.

Celestine growled when Yoichi continued on him about looking like a girl and looking good in a dress. He gritted his teeth and tightened his grip on his arms to keep from hauling loose and belting him in the mouth. A chill breeze blew around the court yard, blowing his hair around. There really shouldn't have been wind in here considering that the place was enclosed all but the roof, but it wasn't exactly obvious where it was coming from if one wasn't around Celestine enough to know what the wind usually picked up when he was angry. He scoffed when Yoichi told him that he couldn't talk to Aamori like that. He'd been doing a good job of it thus far, he didn't see why not. "If it doesn't bother her I don't see why it should bother you." He muttered, though he doubted either of them heard him since he was inquiring about the rest of the group. Once she finally got rid of him and started to talk to him again he just rolled his eyes. "Your apology doesn't mean much...I still want to slap him." he said irritably.

LaRae sat there quietly, watching as he started to take the bandanna off. She gave a soft sigh when he pulled his hair while removing it. That just showed that he wasn't too careful the last time he tied it back around his head; He was probably doing it in a hurry. She continued to look at him even when she got another look at the third eye of his. She smiled softly once he looked away. "...Well, at least one of your eyes looks at me when you remove that bandanna." She said quietly. She didn't really mean anything by what she said, merely pointing out that while the bandanna was off only one of his eyes ever really looked at her. She watched him after he took the comb and then shook her head seeing how aggressively he was combing through the tangles in his hair. She reached over and snatched the comb from his hand. "You're going to pull all your hair out doing it like that." She paused. "Then people will just have something else to poke fun at you about..." She uttered quietly as moved behind him and she sat up on her knees then started to comb through his hair more gently. "It won't kill you to take a little longer to get all the tangles out and then carefully tie that bandanna back on." She paused. "And if you do it good this time, you'll save your head some pain the next time you have to brush your hair." She said as she worked quickly, but gently to finish getting the tangles free from his hair. Once she thought she'd gotten them all she sat back and set the comb down on the bed beside her. "...There. Now you can cover it back up."

Aamori continued to stand where she was, waiting on her brother to get back with those passes. She sighed hearing what Celestine said and lowered her eyes. "...Since my words didn't mean much, I retract my apology." She uttered quietly. "I won't bother making excuses for him. After all I was the same way when I first met you, well, sorta." She said with a sigh. "Oh... and if you don't like the rules and the way things work in this building... you're welcome to leave any time after you get this pass." She paused. "You don't have to come back... if you chose to stay away from here, someone will find you when we have work to do." She said quietly. She didn't like the rules any better than he did, or any of the others for that matter but she had to abide by them regardless. "Oh... another thing... you don't need my permission to breathe and I'm sorry if it feels that way. That's just how things work here, and that's how I have to live when I'm here." She said as she started to walk over to the fountain to pick up her shirt. She snatched it up from the ground and then looked over at her bedroom door. She stared at it for a moment before looking over to Celestine, her eyes barely meeting his. "Yoichi should be out in a few minutes with a pass for you. Deal with him long enough to get that, then you can leave." She said and then started towards her room.

Nanashi sighed softly when LaRae took the comb from him and then shifted positions uncomfortably. He lowered his head slightly and raised his hand to his forehead, putting his fingers over the third eye to cover it. "...That eye...is the only one that really sees you." he said quietly. Once she gave him the okay he raised the bandanna to his head again and then leaned his head forward slightly, catching a little bit of his hair under the bandanna like he usually did so that it was still covering the eye a little more, and then let the rest of his hair hang over the top of the bandanna. He tied it tightly in the back, though he still got come of his hair caught in it. He couldn't' really see what he was doing, so it was hard to avoid tying his hair in the thing. He made sure that it was tied tightly and then sighed softly and looked back to LaRae again for a moment before dropping his eyes. "...It's hard to look at you with all three at once... I see you the way you see yourself in with these eyes...but I see a dragon there with the other...I see what you're supposed to look like horns and all...and I see your mind...and it all just...layers over what my other eyes see...it kind of hurts my head..." he tried to tell her. He shook his head slightly and turned around to face her before he reached around her to hug her. "Thank you." he said softly. He was at least glad that she didn't think that his eye was too freakish. He still expected to hear sour thoughts on it when he was able to see into her mind. He knew that she didn't care but his own distaste for the thing kind of clouded his mind a little.

Celestine just huffed, "I see where you got it from." he said dully. He just sighed and finally relaxed a little while she went on about him not having to stay here. "It's probably better that I don't...I will just wind up getting in trouble. I'm not good at being courteous or holding my tongue, and I don't want to treat you like the spoiled, pampered girl you are. I rather like treating oyu like someone I can stand to be around... So if I am going to be chewed out for speaking to you normally whenever someone else is around I think I would rather wait until you know where we are going and then meet you." He sighed and looked away from her as she started toward her door, "...I'll see you later, Aamori." he said in a friendlier, less agitated voice. He really wasn't annoyed with her at all, he was just annoyed in general...mostly thanks to Yoichi. He didn't even want to deal with him long enough to get the pass but he guessed he'd best wait here for him.

LaRae nodded lightly after he had explained. Again, she really hadn't thought about it. Though it did make sense now, at least she was pretty sure it did. "Sounds like trying to focus with all of them on one person would be the fastest way to make yourself dizzy." She honestly had no negative thoughts to her being about his third eye. Sure it was strange, at first. But she'd seen a couple strange things since this trip started and even Nobu was no exception to that. She was just open minded to the fact that people were different. After listening to him explain though, she was a little uneasy that he could see her mind. She wasn't sure if she should be freaked out by that, or be intrigued. She was at a crossroads because half of her thought that was neat and could probably come in handy for something. She smiled when he turned around and hugged her. "...For what?"

Aamori paused when she heard him say that it'd be better that he didn't stay here. She had kind of hoped she'd made it to her room before he said anything like that but she'd only made it just inside the arch in front of her room. She stood there with her back towards him and gave a sigh. "Spoiled and pampered?" She paused and shook her head. "It's not like I chose to be spoiled and pampered. I don't even like being treated like I'm something better than everyone else." She uttered. "I'd much rather have grown up like a normal kid, with troubles, cuts, bruises, fights, anything... different than what I had. The way I've been growing up makes me feel like I'm nothing more than something my clan is growing." She paused. "For lack of better comparisons, like a vegetable being grown for some contest to see who's is better." She laughed quietly. "Thanks to my clan I can't help being spoiled... and I can't help being pampered. If something were to happen to me, they lose a generation. I'm surprised they didn't retaliate against this trip all things considered." She muttered. She finally started to turn her head to look back at him for a moment. "...And that remark, about needing my permission to breathe... that was an unfair statement and it probably would have been better gone unsaid." She paused. "I've got more rules placed on me while I'm here in Kairava then you could ever begin to imagine. The only one you really have to abide by is that you can't leave this building without a pass. Other than that, you've got no rules and nothing to bind your actions." She heaved a sigh and turned her head back in front of her. "And that pass... is there for your own protection. Unless you or anyone else would rather spend the next few nights in a cell." She uttered. She really didn't see where any of them really had it that bad. At least if they wanted to leave they didn't have to have an escort or ask for permission to leave when they wanted to. She on the other hand, had to ask Hisako if she could leave the building and if Hisako said yes then she was given an escort and the escort was always in constant contact with Hisako. She was lucky to be able to go to the bathroom or bathe without someone breathing down her neck. Then again, Hisako usually followed her to the bath, so that was lie. She started for her door again and paused when she reached the handle. She set her hand down on it and turned slightly to look back at Celestine again. "...See you, later." She was quiet for a moment. "...On second thought ...Don't worry about trying to meet up with me once I figure out where we have to go." She sighed. "I'll find the relic and then find you. Then we can get out of Kairava away from everything that irks you guys..." She said lastly before opening her door and slipping inside before anything else could be said. She wasn't really mad or anything, well, she was a little upset that he'd rather just leave than put up with a little crap for a few days. Other than that, she was really just venting. Which could probably have been avoided had Celestine not called her spoiled and pampered.

Yoichi hurried back up the stairs from the lower level and through the door, making sure to shut it behind him. He would've been back sooner with the passes that Aamori had asked for, but Hisako had to notarize each of them individually. He stepped out of the hall through one of the arches and glanced around for a moment not seeing his sister. "...Where'd she go?" He asked while taking a few steps closer to the young man and holding out a piece of paper that was adorned with the Elder symbol at the top letter head and signed at the bottom by Hisako, himself and one other person. The script on the paper in short merely stated that the holder was granted permission to roam the main island and it's surrounding sister islands and that they were granted access to everything a commoner of Kairava was given access to. "Here, just don't lose it. Though, I doubt you will." He paused. "It should go without saying that there will not be another one."

Cyndel 09-10-2008 07:52 AM

Nanashi smiled slightly at her. "...Um...not pulling my hair out?" he said unsurely and then let out a soft laugh before he released her. "...Hmm...well...are we going to stay in here all day?" He asked, "Not that I mind either way...I'm not too keen on going anywhere around here..." he said as he glanced toward the window. Being around all of these people was going to make him nervous, especially since he wasn't ignorant to the way some of them looked at him, like that one guard. He did kind of want to go to the beach, but he wasn't about to go wandering around while there were people out. He wasn't that stupid to go alone, and he didn't really want to ask anyone to come with him either.

Celestine just stood there listening silently to Aamori. He didn't really have a comment for most of what she said other than her people were a bunch of idiots. How did they expect to make a strong leader by shielding her from the world? A person can't learn everything from books and training. Her preformance on the battlefield should be enough to prove that. He just sighed and let his arms fall to his sides again, watching as she walked to her room. Honestly, he wouldn't have cared if she did go find the relic and then find him. He wasn't too up for fighting anything yet anyway, though by the time they got there he probably would be. He probably wouldn't think it so bad once he was allowed to leave the building, but the way that Hisako had been talking the night before it honestly sounded like they were going to need Aamori's approval for everything if she had to give the okay just for them to walk outside of the building. The only comment that he had to make was that what irked him didn't necessarily irk the others. He wasn't everyone else, he was only speaking for himself. He shook his head and looked back to Yoichi when he held out the pass and just took it, not even looking at it as he folded it and tucked it into his pocket. "Her room." He said flatly before he breezed by him without another word and started straight for the doors, obviously ready to get out of here for a while. He really had lived by himself too long to be expected to conform so easily to the way people were...he had trouble in his own territory, let alone someone else's that he'd never been to.

LaRae picked up the comb again once he released her and then started to scoot over to the edge of the bed. She started to get to her feet and slipped the comb into her back pocket. With the area that they were at she was pretty sure she'd be needing to use that comb again, though that could be said with almost any place she went. She looked back to him and smiled a bit. "I suppose we don't have to stay confined in here all day." She paused. "So, is there anywhere specific you want to go or do you just want to wander around?"

Yoichi watched for a moment as he took the pass and put it into his pocket without bothering to look it over. He guessed it was unnecessary to look at the paper, after all it was exactly what he said it was. He continued to stand there for a moment after the guy went straight for the doors so quickly and than shook his head. He looked over towards Aamori's door and then started over towards it while still holding onto the other passes. He .stopped at the door and knocked the back of his hand to it lightly. "Hey, Aamori." He paused. "I got those passes. What do you want me to do with them?" He asked through the door.

Aamori barely acknowledged her brother at the door, at first. She moved over to the door after grabbing her other top, the dress like one along with the sleeve that went with it. She pulled the door open after heaving a sigh and looked up at her brother. "For now, since I don't think the others have gotten up yet.. just hold onto them until you see them." She paused. "You'll know who gets a pass when you see them. But for the sake of not screwing it up, there's a dragon from every clan." She said quietly before stepping out of her room and pulling the door shut behind her. "Oh... and Hisako said I needed to see Mother and Father..." She paused. "So I'm going to clean up, then I guess we can go... Unless you've got something else you need to be doing."

Yoichi stepped to the side a little when she started out of her room and gave a slight nod. "You sure did bring an interesting group of people back with you... One from each clan, huh?" He shook his head lightly. "...Even the fire clan, I presume." He gave a soft sigh. "That's going to make so many people uneasy, I hope you're aware." He said quietly. "...Anyway ...I don't have anything else to do, so after you're done and ready to go I guess we can head over there." He uttered and then started to walk back through the arch towards the court yard. "And I'll make sure that the others get their passes when I see them." He told her before stepping over to the fountain to sit down on the edge of it.

Aamori nodded lightly to Yoichi. "I'm aware of that. But they'll just have to get over it." She paused. "Each one of the six of them are here as my guests. The townspeople will just have to deal with it until we leave." She said quietly while shifting the clothes in her arms. "And thank you, for getting those passes for me... I shouldn't be too long." She said as she turned and started for the females bath once Yoichi had started to head back to the court yard. She wasted very little time getting over to the door and slipping inside.
