Miles smiled at Ellery and began to head toward the inn. He watched as Ellery went the other way and when he was sure she wouldn't notice him he moved from away the inn and began to follow her. He wanted to see what Lee would say and how he reacted. Maybe he would just try to pick a fight and make Lee to seem a bad guy.

Miles wanted nothing more then to make Lee's life miserable. And he was going to do just that, starting now.

Lee ran as fast as he could down the path from Ellery's house to where he believed Ellery to be and found her walking about happily. He growled in a low warning since and stopped at Ellery. He examined her really closely and after a moment of seeing everything was indeed intact glared at her.

"Did he do anything to you Ellery?" He was angry, angry at himself for not stopping her sooner and angry at her for not knowing the danger she had put herself in. His anger got the better of him and his eyes turned red.

He knew what was happening and he tried to back away a bit from Ellery so as to not do anything stupid and growled again. He spoke in a low tone Ellery couldnt hear and gritted his teeth.

"You have ten seconds dog."

"But this is so much fun. Now look what you did to Ellery, she looks scare. . . I wounder of who. I don't think its me Lee." Miles said with a smirk in the bushes.

Lee looked at Ellery and frowned a bit to himself. He began to let his anger decrease and all he felt then was like an animal.

Ellery didn't know what had upset Lee so much, to the fact that he was angry with her.
So yes, in a sense she was quite scared, not only of Lee, but the fact that Miles had followed her also seemed to be a pretty good reason.

And why did Lee call him a dog.

"Miles, what are you doing here," she demanded as she tried to stay as calm as she possibly could.

But staying calm really wasn't one of Ellery's strong points as she stood in the middle of a dark street, scared of Lee, and now weary of Mile's intentions.

But maybe, deep down she knew what was happening, and it wasn't going to be a pretty event now would it?
Lee had a bad temper, and Miles was going to push and push until Lee did something stupid.
Maybe something really bad...

Ellery didn't like thinking of the possibilities, but she did have to consider all of them at this moment.
And the only one she could think of, was to get the two separated, and get them separated as fast as she could, just so nothing could even try to start.

"Lee," she said grabbing onto his arm. "Please, let's go back to my house, okay..?"

Lee looked at Ellery as she tried to tug him away from the wolf and he stayed where he was and growled. He looked at Miles with anger and rage. He was close to attacking but used all the restraint he had to try reason with the dog.

"Stay away from Ellery or I will kill you mutt" He said as he stood in front of Ellery in a protective stance. He glared at Miles and growled. Ellery looked worried and confused but he had trouble noticing anything other then the wolfs movements.

Miles growls at himself knowing he had been caught by Ellery and it was obvious that Lee was mad. He didn't care though. All he did was stayed where he was in the bushes. He knew Ellery hadn't had seen him so he slowly began to morph into the wolf he had been for so long.

He didn't make himself known to Ellery and he knew she hadn't seen him so he began to come out of the bushes as a big thin brown wolf. He neeled down on both of his front legs and let his teeth show. He was ready to fight and then looked at Ellery like asking his permission.

Lee looked at Miles and decided he wasn't going to leave he began to push Ellery away to safety as he continued to glare at Miles.

"No," Ellery screamed as she jumped back forward, gripping Lee around the waist.

Though she was a bit slow at times, she was not stupid, and understood everything now. Vampires were apparently not the only non-human creatures that existed, and she knew, she just knew, that the wolf before her, no matter how huge, was Miles.
And now even better, she discovered the reason for the tension in her home earlier, and why Lee asked her if he had hurt her.
She knew everything now, it was a quite scary reality.

Now, even though she was behind him, Ellery held onto Lee, desperate to prolong any battle between the two that she could.

"Please don't," she said loudly, trying to reach Mile's ears as well.
"I can't let either of you do this."

She couldn't have either of them get hurt, no way!
Although, she really didn't know why they planned to fight each other, that was the one thing she didn't understand.
Really, they couldn't be fighting over her.. She had just met both of them pretty much, although you could quite determine that she had a small crush on her "boyfriend". But that was for a good reason.
Now Miles was a different story.
She barely knew him, and he was new in town. He was cute yes, and she couldn't deny that she had flirted with him quite a bit, but she didn't feel that feeling that she had for Lee, that tugging inward, the butterflies, not any of that. Miles was just a simple cute guy, who just happened to grab her flirting attention, not her soul.

Lee and the wolf didn't move. IT was obvious they were waiting for the other to attack and since nether one of them did it played out. Lee stood there for a few moments until he noticed Ellery standing in front of him. He wouldn't have really noticed until he looked into her eyes and noticed her worry and how scared she was. Lee thought to himself for a moment on if it was worth killing the wolf if Ellery would look at her with those eyes all the time and his stance of attacking weakened.

At that same moment Miles was ready to attack. He noticed Lee was backing down but he was still decided if he still wanted to fight. He wanted to badly kill Lee, that was his mission for years to avenge his family but thought about Ellery for a moment. Even though he didn't love didn't mean that anyone deserved to see they're lover killed in battle. His stance weakened also and they both looked into each others eyes for another moment.

It was understood in just their eyes this battle would be postponed until a later time. Miles backed away a little bit faster then Lee then turned around quickly and ran away from Ellery and Lee. Lee watched the wolf all the while and continued to look at the last place the wolf was see able for a little while longer.

Lee turned around to see Ellery sighed in relieve. Lee tried to smile at Ellery but it turned out to be a concerned face instead. Lee stood in front of Ellery for a moment with his concerned face then closed his eyes and hugged her silently.

His embrace felt cold to her skin, as Ellery was pulled in to being held.
Relief washed over her as she wrapped her arms around his waist, holding to him tightly.
No doubt she felt a bit uneasy..

"Lee," she whispered into his chest.

But instead of finishing her words, she only held to him, wanting to never let go.

"I'm sorry," she said after a brief second.

Really, if it weren't for her overly-friendly nature, none of this trouble would have started, and then Lee and herself would be in her room questioning each other.
And by far, that would have been better than this was, much, much better.
Although it wasn't necessary for her to apologize for something she didn't intend to do, it still seemed proper..

"I was just trying to be nice.. And then I do all of this. As usual I ruin everything.."

Looking up to Lee, Ellery found her eyes watering as her apology deepened within itself.
"I'm sorry," she said again, this time her voice breaking, and choking off into crying.
But this type of crying wasn't loud as before, it was small and gentle sobs formed together.
"I'm so sorry.."

Lee pulled her head up so he was looking into her eyes and sighed to himself. He moved from the hug a bit and frowned to himself.

"What are you talking about. This was not your fault. This fight between me and him has been going on for longed then you and your parents have been born." He looked at her for another moment and noticed the tears that slowly began to fall down her face.

He moved his hands so his left finger picked up the stray tear from her face and wiped it on his clothing. He then put her into a hug again and then moved over to her side and held her hand.

"Lets go back to your house." He said in a quiet voice. He pulled her by the arm lightly and lead the way to her house.

The forest was quiet on their way home and things were becoming uneasy and Lee began to get a little scared. He looked over at Ellery again and felt a ping of guilt.

"Do you want me to leave Ellery?" He said in a cold expression. He looked over at her and stopped their moment to her house. He looked her in the eyes for a moment and before she had time to answer he cut her off.

"I don't want to cause your life to be different then it was. I will leave if that is what you wish Ellery." He said as he looked at the glowing stares above them.

Miles ran as fast as he could back to the inn and shifted back into a human. He growled at himself at all he had accomplished and then sighed.

He looked for his room for a moment and found it he got inside and collapsed right onto his bed.

He sighed and thought about his next move. he thought about how to kill Lee and why he even wanted to kill him in the first place and snarled.

He looked outside and out at the new stars and snarled. He would have his revenge on Lee. His pack was destroyed and it was all his fault. That was not something a werewolf backed away from.

Ellery felt a bit unsettled when Lee said he didn't want to intrude on her life, and make things different.
But the problem was, as much as he had intruded.. Ellery didn't want him to leave her, not ever.
She liked him being here, even if he was what he was.
And so far, things were okay, but still..
She couldn't help but to worry about the future, and things like Miles ruining her perfect moments, and somehow, her happiness of the past three days.

"Lee," she began as she looked up at him. "There is no way, no reason, that I would want you to leave, and I don't plan on making you do so any time soon. Lee, I believe you when you say that you care about me, and I trust you.."

Now, she knew that things were somehow a bit uncomfortable for him to kiss her, and somehow it seemed to push his buttons a bit, but she didn't care.

Leaning up slightly, she pressed her lips to his, holding him to her just in case he decided to run.

Lee accepted the kiss with easy. It was an small kiss and thats all he could take. IT only took moment until the kiss became more lustful and he had to pull away. It was sudden and it made Ellery's eyes open quickly. Lee looked into her eyes and she looked into his and he smiled.

Lee pulled back from the embrace Ellery and himself was having and his eyes narrowed a bit. He thought to himself for a moment then began to smiled once again.

"We better get back to your place my lovely Ellery. It is getting late." He said as he began to walk toward Ellery's house again.

While they were walking back to her house the forest seemed more silent then usual and the stars brighter. Lee began to look up into the sky and watched with a blank expression.

Ellery never had really understood why Lee always pulled away before things could get serious, and it was something that seemed to bore into her head, bothering her quite a bit.
But now she felt content holding his hand into hers, and the walk seemed to have a pleasant atmosphere to it.

Her mind wandered through subjects, and miscellaneous thoughts about Lee, and then Miles, as they approached her home.
She wanted kisses, she wanted love, she wanted everything all at once, in one big bang.
She wanted to wake up one morning, and feel something so powerful, a feeling so intense that it could only be described as love.
Ellery wanted to fall in love with Lee, she wanted to be in love with him..
She wanted him to love her, and it was that simple.

When they finally made it to her house he looked around the house and he began to fell a little restless. He knew his eyes had been changing into a light tent of the red he always knew would happen when he was thirty and sighed. He continued to walk into her house however following behind Ellery.

He looked at Ellery and noticed she was heading her her bedroom, Lee's favorite place in the world now. When he took noticed of the path leading up to her room with the worn out carpet from where he had been pacing he looked down to himself. He felt bad about doing that to her carpet and tried to think of a way to make it up to her.

It seemed that she noticed that the carpet was worn down and Lee put on a apologetic smile on his face. He expected her to yell at him or something but she just turned back around and jumped on her bed.

His face didn't change from his apologetic face as he sat next to her.

"Today has been a rough day for you. I believe we should hold off and the questions tonight. . ." She was trying to protest when Lee brought his left pointer finger to her lips. He kissed them lightly and it was him who turned it slowly into a more argent kiss.

He pulled away suddenly again and apologized to Ellery. He leaned away from Ellery and put her hands into his own.

"I must leave tonight Ellery. I am not myself since Miles and I will be away for a bit. . . I swear to you I will be back in the morning." He said sadly to Ellery as he turned away.

"Lee," Ellery began to say in protest, trying to get to him before he could leave her.. But by the time she was up off of her bed, he had already left.

Okay, so this wasn't exactly the worst, and hey, Lee probably wouldn't run into Miles. He probably would, and that was just great, all Ellery needed right now.
As if being puzzled by her mysterious vampire "soul mate" who seemed to dread kissing her weren't enough, now she had to deal with a werewolf.
How else could this get any worse?

No wait! She couldn't tell herself stuff like that, no. It was negative, and usually brought upon something worse than needed.
So no more negativity!
He said he would be back by morning, and she trusted him, so he would be back by morning, maybe..

That hint of fear still somehow strangled her, weighing her down with all of her fears of Miles, and what would have happened if they had been able to fight like they had wanted to.
And Ellery had been positive of who would have won, and who would have failed.

Lee looked so fragile to her, so perfect, and untouchable, she was afraid to see something as beautiful as he was up against something as massive as Miles.
Clearly, though she had faith in him, Ellery was afraid that Lee wouldn't exactly take the lead in something as such.

Lee ran from Ellery's house as fast as he could. He knew if he heard her protest he would be unable to deny her and so he ran. He ran fast not looking back at Ellery and her cute little home. He noticed a smell of Miles corning everywhere he went and snarled. He HATED the smell of dogs!

He ran until he was out of town which took only minutes to achieve and though of a good hunting ground. He thought to himself and just decided to head west.

The morning came fast and he had killed enough to last him maybe a day or two and decided to had home. He noticed he had gone a little far then what he had hoped but still hoped he would make it before Ellery woke up for today.

Miles paced around his hotel room and sighed. He didn't get anymore then an hour of sleep as he tried to think of a way to still make Ellery trust him. He still thought if there was anyway to Lee it would be by her.

He ran around the forest get gather his nerves a little bit but nothing seemed to help. It was then when he had mistakenly ran to close to Ellery's house that he noticed the absence of Lee's strong scent. Of course his smell was EVERYWHERE but it was always stronger when he was around.

It was then that he decided to walk up to Ellery's door. He tried not to make any noise as he sat down in front of her front door but was a little unsuccessful. He turned around a little bit watching for predictors and layed down. His eyes closed and he rested his eyes on his arms.

Yes he was still in his dog form but he did not bring cloths when he left his inn so he just layed there. Hoping to not scare Ellery.

Even though he wanted to kill Lee and even though he had no romantic feelings for Ellery, she was the first one to talk to him and so long. Also he felt danger afoot.

It was now early morning, maybe about four o'clock, and Ellery had been sound asleep, up until Miles had decided to sleep on her porch.
She could hear his body knock up against the door, and then finally all was quiet as she sat up in her bed, staring into the darkness.

Getting to her feet after a moment, she walked to her front door, peering out of the peephole, and seeing nothing. And since she got the feeling that something was a bit odd, she cracked the door to see a tuft of brown fuzz. Miles.

Ellery screamed a bit as she swung the door fully open, shocked, and terrified a bit as she stared down on the massive wolf.

"What are you doing!?" She demanded. "You can't be here, you need to leave, like, now!"

Sitting down on the ground, Ellery got behind Miles and began to push him with all of her strength, which really wasn't that great.

"Please, you have to go," she told him. "You can't be here! You just can't."

If Lee were to pop in somewhere around now, Miles would have ruined all of her chances at being closer to him, and that was what she wanted deep down.
And she would not have him come in and ruin her perfectly good relationship with Lee, when it already wasn't the most sturdy thing in the world now.

"Miles you can't stay here! He'll get angry!"

Miles looked at her still in his dog form and just looked up in pleading eyes. He waged his tail just a bit at Ellery and waited for some reaction other then surprise. Hoping maybe she would be happy to see him.

He continued to look at her and lowed his ears a bit when he noticed she wasn't going to change how she was feeling. He raised to his feet slowly and slowly walked over to her. He moved his head and tried to get her to pit him but it was unsuccessfully. She pulled away and i guess thats what he expected but continued to look at her with his tail still slightly waging.

Lee eat until his stomach was full and begin to run back. He stopped halfway there and noticed a change in the wind. He thought it might be nothing but he still stopped to take in what he was noticing. Then out of nowhere a new smell came.

It was the scent of vampires. Not a lot he noticed and sighed a bit with relief knowing it wasn't the Volturi then begin to panic again. He wouldn't have anyone coming to Ellery's town. He could not take seeing her in tears for another lost one and ran with more determination then before.

As Miles tried his hardest, Ellery only shook her head, a pained look in her eyes.
"No Miles," she told him. "Go home.."

She liked Miles and all.. But she wouldn't-no. Couldn't allow him to ruin this for her. She cared about Lee, and she somewhat believed what he had told her about being his soul mate. But then if he left her, she would never be able to find out if it was true or not.
And she did want to find out, a lot. It didn't matter what he was to her. She cared for him, and he for her.
And that was important.

"Please leave Miles," she said. "I can't have you here.."

And with that, Miles left her.. And she felt horrible, she really did! But still. She would have rather had Lee than Miles any day.

Miles walked away in sadness with his tail in between his legs the whole time. He didn't even look to where he was heading as he slowly walked on all fours away from Ellery.

Then when he was out of sight range did he he smell something horrible in the air. It was a stench he knew to well with the vampires he had tried to kill. He growled lowly to himself then in the direction he was sure Lee would be coming out of soon and glared. He was determent on if he should kill Lee for being vampires to Ellery and her lovely town but hesitated.

He moved his tips of his paws across the hard ground for a moment longer then decided he just wanted to walk around the town for a bit to think about his next move.

Lee only took seconds to reach his destination after the weird smell that came from the air and slowed down in pace as he reached eye distance of Ellery's house.

He saw Ellery at her window looking slightly sad and smelt the air. And instead of the smell of new comers he smelt the smell of a dog and growled to himself a bit. Walking now to her pathway to her house he noticed Ellery notice him and smile.

Where was still a lingering sadness in her features he walked up to her and hugged her. He didn't know where to begin and thought it best to wait until he knew what was going on and just smiled at Ellery.

Then after only a few moments in their embrace did the phone ring in Ellery's house. He looked beyond her to the inside of her house and smirked.

"I think you should answer that" he said with a smirk.

Really, Ellery didn't want to answer the phone very much, considering Lee was back now. She would have rather just held onto him, and let the phone ring away.
But after a few more brief rings, Ellery sighed, pulling away, and walking over to the phone.

"Hello?" She asked.
"Is this Ellery?"
"Yes.. Who is speaking?"
"Listen to me carefully Ellery, this is Alice.. You don't know me, but your cousin Bella.. She does, okay? Now listen, you are in danger Ellery. You need to get out of your town as soon as possible!
"But why-"
"Ellery! You can't question these things. You must listen to me, and leave with Lee. You both aren't safe anymore. He broke the rules.."
"What do you mean rules?"
"Tell him that you are on the phone with Alice Cullen, he will know what I mean.

Pausing for a brief second, Ellery turned towards Lee, with a confused, and scared look to her face.
"It's Alice Cullen," she said blankly. "She said that you broke the rules Lee.."

"Ellery, you both need to leave now!"
"But I can't just-"
"Did he tell you about the Volturi?"

That was when Ellery caught the drift of what was happening.
She stood silent now, and listened.
"Now Ellery, tell him that they are coming.."
"The Volturi," Ellery repeated. "They are coming here.."
