[simple] "Beauty and the Beast" [Chibiruler1990]

If anyone else posts, I will contact a mod immediately, and have them kill your post, so don't get any ideas. Monster; 1. a legendary animal combining features of animal and human form or having the forms of various animals in combination, as a centaur, griffin, or sphinx. 2. any creature so ugly or monstrous as to frighten people. 3. any animal or human grotesquely deviating from the normal shape, behavior, or character. The definitions to the book seem startling, and unjust towards some things that are even as humans true. But did anywhere in the dictionaries say, "living beings"? Feelings, lives; they seem normal enough to breathe, live, and die, right? Monsters can be loved, and they can return love, maybe... One thousand years alone, would seem like enough to teach him a lesson. But through those years, instead of learning from mistakes, he only grew more bitter and cruel. He didn't care for anything anymore; not about the choices he'd made. She stepped in, and it was through. Never had such happiness, and sheer life had he seen before, not that he'd wanted to see such things... But she made him see, and somehow, he wanted to see more. He wanted to know the source of this joy that she'd experienced, and why she was full of it all the time. Though he was only "human", he had never once seen anything like this.... |
Its quite outside in the empty streets and everyone is home sleeping peaceful dreams. A man walks down the center road with no real destination. He looks around for a near by inn to stay at for the upcoming sunlight and spots one.
The inn looks closed but He walks over to the door anyways. 'Maybe someone will at least let me in. . . I'm hungry. . . ' he thinks to himself. But alas no one answers. He looks around again for some sort of shelter and can only find a dark alley between two closed businesses. He walks over collapsing along one side of the walls and glares at the ground. "what have i been reduced to?!" he yells at himself and slams his hand on the ground. He lays his head down on his knees and attempts to sleep unsuccessfully. |
Walking through the small town, a seemingly young girl staggered through the streets; lost.
She appeared to be around her late teens, maybe eighteen, or nineteen. Keeping up a cute atmosphere, she had shoulder length blond hair, brown eyes, and was around five foot two, or five foot three. Stepping around another corner, she paused at a small crossroad, and then continued her way through. Though she obviously lacked a sense of direction, she didn't seem distraught about her pathless route. Her name, was Ellery Miles. The spontaneous and quirky young daughter, and heiress to the family fortune; coming from a landowning family. She was however, everything short of a princess though as she strode down the concrete in a white t shirt, and a pair of tight black jeans. |
He lays there motionless for what seemed like seconds and raises his head a little bit and sniffs the air. He grins evilly and slowly gets up.
'interesting smell. Smells "nice" ' He thinks to himself. His stomach takes that time to growl loudly. He looks around the corner at the young woman and then at the sky for the upcoming light. ' I will have to drawl her here. . . ' He growls quietly to himself at the inconvenience and coughs loudly to grab her attention. |
Hearing the abrupt couching noise, Ellery stopped for a brief, short moment.
She turned to face the alleyway, peering around the corner. "Hello," she asked stepping her foot into it the alley slightly. Upon hearing no response, Ellery stepped in deeper; she could see his figure through the shadows. "Are you okay," she asked. |
The man in the Alley moves up as close as he can to the girl without letting her see him and stars into her eyes. Usually when he looked into his victims eyes he would see them beg for their lives from the maybe future. But he didn't see it in this girl and that was a first for him.
'interesting' he thought to himself as he tried to think of every reason why this girl escaped her bloody future with him. He couldn't think of a reason and so he just decided to let this one go. 'There is other fish in the sea. . . ' He said quietly to himself. The girl repeated herself feeling she hadn't been heard and he walked out of the shadows for her. "Go home. You should be just waking up. Not out in the center road by yourself. Hasn't anyone ever told you not to go out by yourself at night?!" He snickers at the last part. He was warning about himself in a way and he found that kind of ironic. What a rarity that was. |
Ellery didn't understand what he meant by what he'd said. Did he plan on harming her only seconds ago?
Stepping backward towards the street, a stroke of fear surged through Ellery's body. And then she was gone, running as fast as she possibly could have, avoiding any other human contact as she desperately tried to distance herself from that are, and him. He couldn't help but wonder what would have happened to her if she'd stayed too long, of if he had decided to do whatever he had planned to with her; it was terrifying. |
'Smart girl' He thought to himself. He watched her run away in fear and thought of all the others he had driven away and growled lowly to himself.
He sunk down onto the floor again but didnt pay attention to the upcoming light. Then slowly he felt the burn of the sunlight hit across his skin and cried lightly in pain and backed away as far away as he could from the light. 'Trapped like a rat' He said to himself as he looked behind him and noticed the sun coming from the other direction as well as his front. 'hopefully the sun wont hit all of this area' he sighed as he lead his head down to his knees again and glared at the floor. He thought about that girl for another moment and looked out at the sunlight. 'this town seems like fun!' He snickered to himself. |
After a bit of running, Ellery had to stop.
She couldn't run forever, nor did she have the willpower to do so... But she couldn't help but to think of what had just happened. She wanted to know what he would have done, and why he acted like it was excruciating. Raping her may have been a thought, but that only meant he'd go after someone else instead of her. Fear shrilled down her spine again. She felt ashamed now, for letting him have at another women. |
He started to dose off a little every other minute only to be reminded of the sun near his reach. It took a lot of tries to find the perfect spot where the sun wouldn't hit him and he sighed loudly. The towns people would be waking up any minute and that irritated him.
'I don't look conspectuses at all' he growled in the pit of his throat. Only a few moments after the thought crossed his mind he heard the towns men leaving their homes for another day of work. HE then took another look at his surrounding and noticed the condition of the buildings. People would find him, that he was sure of. But how would he explain himself. . . Should he? He thought about that last thought for another moment. He was hungry and just because the girl made him lose his appetite for her didn't mean he couldn't just have someone else? He thought of it for what seemed like seconds when the door to one of the buildings made a sqweek as the man opened it. 'I do not need to explain myself to anyone!' he said to himself and decided that would be the end. The moment one person tried to move him or ask why he was there he would do what he was made to do. Kill. |
Standing now in the middle of the sidewalk, Ellery was having a personal debate.
She wanted to tell someone, get him arrested, or something. But in order to do that, she needed to tell someone. The truth was, she was scared to tell someone, scared that he would come and find her. But being as stubborn as she was, she decided she'd walk back into town. And then, the fist big and strong looking man she saw, would be the one to take him down. Her idea was fool-proof, all say for one small problem. In order to get back into town, she had to pass that alley-way. But maybe she'd get lucky. Walking back towards where she had come, she had already begun to feel insecure |
He slept with what seemed like seconds until his nose woke him up. He shielded his eyes from the fully lite sun and sniffed the air again. The girl was coming back.
'now thats unusual' he thought to himself. He tried to get a better few of the main road without getting in contact with the raises of the sun. Some people stared at his attempt but just went about their day which he was grateful for. He snarled at his weakness of the sun and went to his old spot where he had ones slept. Let her come. He sighed and tried to sleep. Even if her smell made it quite imposable to focus on the darkness of his eyelids. He could hear the heels of her feet coming closer to where he laid and smelt the fear radiating off her flesh. "what does she think? I'm going to kill her or something?!" He laughed out to the wind at his own personal joke and tried to find a more comfortable position to sleep. |
Upon getting closer to the alley, Ellery could feel her own body tensing up.
She even tried to stop her legs, but nothing seemed to work. When she got to the alley, she stopped dead in her tracks. All she had to do was walk past it, right? But the good person within her slowly peeked around on of the walls, spotting him, eyes closed. "Hey," she said acting like she hadn't seen him "Are you still in there?" Her voice was a soft whisper, only loud enough for him and Ellery to hear. "I can see you ya know.." |
He snickered at the sound of her voice and opened one eye to look at her and smiled.
"Really and i thought i did such a good job hiding myself. . ." He pretended to make a sad face at his own joke and look fully up at her. " Can I help you dear woman?" He asked her in the nicest tone he could mutter. He tried not letting her see him fully in the shadows and slowly stood up. It was when he stood up he heard noises from the building to his left and assumed someone would be coming out soon. 'great' he thought as he made a low growl. He noticed he growled loud enough for the woman to hear and tried to cover it up with a low cough. |
"Di-did you just growl?"
Now, Ellery was frightened. He'd seemed nice enough at first, but now he was growling? People didn't growl. And if they did, they didn't cough afterwards to cover it up, as he'd just done. Hearing the ruckus from the building next door, Ellery found herself a bit relieved; he wouldn't try anything with people around. "W-why are you here? And what were you going to do to me earlier!?" Her words seemed run on as a sudden surge of adrenaline powered her body. "Why can't you just go somewhere far far away, that way I can just go on without worrying you'll hurt someone...?" |
Lee snickered to himself and walked closer to her with bright red eyes.
"what makes you think I was going to do something to you?" He lazily points his finger at the young woman and smiles playfully at her. " And on that note if I wanted to do something to you it would be a easy task for one such as myself." He grinned at himself and snickered while watching the womans every reaction to his words. A door opened to the left side building and he walked behind the door as to make no sounds the baker could hear. He stayed there perfectly still while keeping eye contact with the female. He snarled at the woman as a warning as to not make himself known to the baker. The baker looked outside and throw some garbage outside and turned to the door. There he saw Ellery standing there. "Ellery, what are you doing in the alley way?" He asked in a concerned voice. |
"Oh, Mister Varner," she said ignoring Lee's presence.
"I was getting ready to make a phone call, and I couldn't hear very well out there, so I thought I'd just pull over for a sec. Sorry if I scared you.." Magically having a phone at hand, Ellery began to 'dial a number'. Mister Varner watched her a moment, then smiled and went back inside. Dropping her arms to her sides, Ellery sighed and returned her phone into her pocket. "Where did you go," she whispered peering around the darkness. Gasping to see the man so close, she blushed and stood in the shadows, "S-sorry.." |
He stood right next to the girl and to a not so noticeable sniff at her strange aroma. He had smelt this before. He stared into her eyes for another moment and instead of hunger in his eyes he held a type of confusion.
"Is this my punishment?" He asked himself as he broke eye with the woman. "What is your name beautiful woman?" He bowed his head in a slow manner and looked up at the woman with a genuine smile. He knew that this would ether scare her more or confuse her but he didn't care anymore. With a smell so intoxicating there was no way he could ever harm her. . . Which is something he hated to admit to himself every time. " And there is no need to apology to me. . . It is one such as i who should be apologizing to you. You needn't lie for me. Even as you did save that man's life." He smiled even wider at the woman not noticing what he had said was not something she needed to hear right now. |
Ellery didn't know what to say exactly. She'd just been called beautiful, by a stranger.. Not only that, she wouldn't lie, he was very, very attractive.
"Umm," she began. "My names Ellery.." She smiled just slightly, and now, all her fear seemed to be demolished.. What was happening to her? How could this possibly being happening? She was just scared for her life, and now, all of that was gone. |
He noticed right away her change of attitude and sighed a bit. He then picked up Ellery's hand and put it to his lips.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Ellery. . . " He kissed her palm and suddenly glared into her wrist impatiently. He stood there like a stone for a matter of moments then lightly pushed her hand to her side and looked up from her and smiled. "My name is Lee Alexander." He says with no hint of pride. He looks up at the sky as a attempt to break eye contact with Ellery and sqents his eyes. |
When he kissed her hand, and hesitated, Ellery wasn't exactly sure what he was doing. But just as quickly, he told her his name, and looked up into the sky, studying it carefully.
"Lee," she said smiling. It was a nice name, it flowed off the tongue very well. It wasn't something like Ellery Miles.. It sounded like a name for an old, crappy neighborhood. "Nice to meet you," she stated softly as she watched him. |
"The pleasure is all mine" Lee says to Ellery and leans against the wall of one of the buildings.
" Ive see you around" Lee states casually to Ellery. He looks out into the road at the few people looking in the alley's direction with confused faces. Lee growls past Ellery's direction at the people who don't even really see him but Ellery. He covers up his growl with a cough again and apologize. "Sorry about that. . ." Lee puts one hand behind his head and laughs a little. "Habit I guess. . . " He looks at Ellery's expression out of the corner of his eyes as he looked to nothing in particular. |
"You growl out of a habit," Ellery asked. "I've never heard of people growling as a habit."
Studying him for a moment, she stood blankly in the alley way, an incredible awkward silence falling between them. "So," she said breaking it. "Do you want to go eat lunch or something? I mean, as much as I love being in dark and dirty alley's, food sounds better." Smiling slightly, she stepped towards him, and then soon enough, was next to him. As she got a closer look, she noticed just how incredibly pale he was, like a ghost or something. But still, he was extravagant. [ I give up on small font. (:] |
Lee stiffened at the idea. He looked at Ellery for a moment then out into the main street where the sunlight shined brightly.
"That might be a problem. . ." Lee tried to think of a way to explain to Ellery his reason for hiding and could find no explanation other then to tell her the truth and that was against the rules. Then also out of habit he took a breath and noticed the closeness of Ellery. He coughed for a bit to hid and distract himself from the growing hunger he was having. His stomach made a churn for the worst and spoke his opinions against Lees will. "uh. . ." So soon after he was about to think of some lame excuse to tell Ellery of his shyness of the sun some of the people in the street drawled nearer. His stomach made a noice again and his eyes beat at his would be working heart pulsing red. " It was nice to meet you Ellery and I do hope our paths run together again but for now i must bid you adu and ask you to leave me" He had a concerned face that stared at Ellery for her expression. |
"B-but," she didn't know what to say. He had just spurned her very existence. Ellery's face was in a pained and stiff expression. "Okay then.."
Turning around, Ellery made her way from the alley quickly, and quietly, as men and women stared at her pained face. As soon as she turned the corner, the tears came. When Ellery became angry, she tended to cry, but in this case, she was a bit more let down. But regardless, she would make sure to never, ever see him again, no matter what the consequences were. |
