Mitsukai and Hikaru

The sun felt good on his skin, the warmth of the light only succeeding in brightening the man's spirits. Turning his head, he caught sight of his younger companion exiting the makeshift tent they had used the night before. "Sleep well?" Mitsukai asked. Hikaru Leon, the partner to the light elemental standing before him, ran a hand through his hair. "Nnn" was the only answer he got. Mitsukai chuckled, handing him a flask of water to drink from. They were on the move, heading towards the nearest city.

They would only be remaining there shortly, enough to do a bit of restocking. Remaining in one place to long was dangerous. It was similar for any elemental in this case. Hikaru took a drink, before looking up towards the sky. "Did I really sleep that long?" he asked. Mitsukai had begun packing up a bit. "You were exhausted, we moved a lot yesterday" he glanced at the younger male, who looked out into the distance. "It was good that you were able to get some rest" Mitsukai smiled warmly.

Hikaru smiled, looking over to his partner. The man was nice, truly deserving of a title like the elemental of light. Kind, warm hearted, he was always looking after him. He did not pressure him most of the time, but he could step up and tell him how it was if need be. They slowly got things packed up, moving on from their camp. Hikaru did not mind walking, he was used to it by now. Being on the run because of all that had happened within the past.

His home had been destroyed because of this bastard of a king who rulled over the land. Hikaru frowned, before a hand placed itself upon his shoulder. Glancing up, the look Mitsukai gave him made him give a small smile. The other was keen to his feelings, he seemed to always know how he was feeling, and if something was bothering him. He always had his back, which was something he was not used to since things happened.

They had become close, working together to survive and get stronger. Mitsukai had helped Hikaru come back from a darker place. Smiling a bit more, Hikaru relaxed as they moved along. Though after a bit, Mitsukai seemed to frown and stiffin. Hikaru caught the change in body language, stiffining himself. "What is it?" he asked, for a moment his mind running through worst case senerios. Mitsukai shook his head a bit.

"Nothing huge, it just..." he paused. Hikaru stopped fully, "what?" he pushed, not liking to be kept in the dark. Mitsukai's eyes off in the distance ahead of them. He could feel the shifting balance within the world around him. In the sense, that he could sense the shifts in good and evil, light and dark. This included the notion of darker feelings within the world around him. It made him quite a good judge of character for the most part.

"There are others up ahead" he says, "others like us....and it seems they are not getting along to well." Hikaru looked off over the land, before back at Mitsukai. "Tension huh?" he said, before his partner was moving off ahead. He blinked a bit, before going after him "hey, Mitsu!" Mitsukai could not help himself. The darker feelings drawing him in. If there was darkness, he could not help but desire to help, to try and show the light.

Not that it was always welcome, but his heart was often in the right place. Mitsukai followed his intentions, his body shifting effortlessly, second nature to him. Soon a massive white tiger moved along, instead of a man. It was not like all the elementals knew what each other looked like, and it was better to assess the situation, before jumpping into situations right? As he got closer, a darker presence made a light growl rumble in him.

It was no mystery that light and darkness had a stronger bond, making up two sides of balance within the world. All things had light and darkness within them, it was as natural as nature itself. They could never miss each other, strong against one another, and yet also weak against the other. It was a tedious ebb and flow, and him being around was never to good of a sign. Darkness tended to tempt, to lead people astray.

Mitsukai slowed his pace, slinking along on silent paws now. Hikaru followed behind, keeping sure to maintain sight of the white tiger before him. As he neared the others, he lowered his body towards the ground, the fur upon his belly lightly brushing the ground. One yellow, one blue eye watched the others for a moment from among the bushes. Indeed things were tense. A wolf imposing on another, while more than one seemed to threaten his life.

"Mitsu..." Hikaru came up, catching himself before he fully stepped out into the scene. Though his voice would have most likely been heard. Mitsukai lifted his head, revealing his form from his spot, before lowering himself to sit on the ground. He lifted his head for a moment to look towards his partner, before out at the scene. His eyes for a moment drawn to the wolf within, the one who seemed to be the source of this problem.
