Sarah looked over at her, a bit confused now, "What? Why don't you just ask him? What's going on here?" she stood straight and demanding.
|
"He's in Frodan!" Asima half told the truth. He had been, last she saw him. "I can't exactly ask him. And I really need help, to find this, that's all...I couldn't do it without you..." |
"You still haven't told me what it is we'll be after" Sarah crossed her arms.
|
"A black dove..." Asima informed her, before describing the item. "I know it's hidden in a bedchamber, under a stone, and I believe it's in Arabia...the problem is, I don't know whose or where in Arabia..." She threw a sidelong glance to Sarah, "And since I'll be there under the guise of an invited visitor, there will be times I can't look. I don't know how long Nemiah's arranged for me to be there, so we'd have to be as quick as possible. I'd need you to search when I can't, and help when I can. And, while we are there, if Luke wishes to, I'll be more than happy to provide him with some finaces, and he could stay in the guest chambers here..." |
Sarah frowned, thinking about it a moment, "So what? I'll go along as your slave?" she questioned, "am I going to have to pamper you?"
|
"Personal maid," Asima answered slowly, but continued quickly, "Though, I've lasted without servants or slaves for a while now. You won't have to 'pamper' me. In public, you'd simply have to act like a servant. When we are alone, you can abuse me with your sharp tounge however you'd like." |
Sarah sighed and turned back to the view, not really seeing anything that was there. "Fine... I'll do it... but Luke gets everything he wants-and more then that, everyone in the slave village needs things. I don't expect you to be able to free them all but you can help them. Better food, supplies, the things they need to live half as well as you do here, got it?"
|
The princess hesitated for a moment. She didn't have that large of an allowance, to provide for the whole slave village. And she doubted she could convince her brother or any politician to donate taxes to do so... However, there was still Asima's house, and as much as she would hate to sell the gift from Set, it would sell for a high enough price. She nodded, "I could do that, once...Supply better blankets and some food, and give each family a portion of money they could purchase items of their choosing with, though that wouldn't be perminant...Just temporary. I will try harder to make things better for them, though." |
"alright... that'll do for now" she replied, "when do we leave then?"
|
"Thank you." Asima muttered again, before shrugging. "We're waiting on the word from Arabia to find out..." (Should we skip to that time?) |
Sarah nodded a little, "I'm going to need something else to wear though" she commented
|
"I alreay intended that." Asima replied evenly. "When would you like to work on that."
|
"Might as well get it done now" Sarah shrugged.
|
Asima nodded, and led the way into her rooms, having the dressmaker there moments later. Various fabrics were laid out for Sarah's selection. Asima had chosen her room, due to the privacy. She moved on her balconey to provide her with yet more privacy. |
After a bit of contemplation Sarah decide on a simple but elegant blue and white outfit. It really made her light blue eyes stand out, and the new set of clothes seemed to lighten her mood a bit as well. She tied her hair back partially, but let the rest of it hang loose, just out of her eyes. She made a very pretty servant.
|
Asima smiled, contemplating the same for a moment. "Would you like anything else for the trip?" |
"I'll be sure to let you know" Sarah replied.
((trying to think of something XD sorry, keep up the filler until I work it out in my head.)) |
(That's fine...^u^) Asima nodded, "Feel free to stay in my rooms and get a few more dresses okay? I'm going to talk to Nemiah really quick, if he isn't busy..." She left the rooms, searching around for her brother. |
According to the servants, Nemiah had gone out for a ride early that morning and was still yet to return.
|
(You ish a sexah avvie!!!! XDDDDDDDD) Asima nodded when she'd heard the news, though it worried her. Perhaps Lakar could have found out something in the short time apart... With this in mind, she made her way to the temple, glancing about upon entering. |
((XD eh, I just wanted something green))
Lakar was moving about with Set in tow, seeming to be teaching him a few little things. The high priest smiled upon seeing Asima and nodded to her in greeting, "Hello" |
Asima smiled and waved, deciding to wait until after the lesson to question him. For the time being, she slipped next to Set, looking at what they were doing. A possible learning oppurtunity. |
"Nijara em latirn wesrl" Lakar spoke strangely to Set, then smiled at Asima as he added, "language lesson."
The boy replied after a moment of thought, "Uhh... Ik Mesnari et yin... meska" Lakar gave his apprentice an odd look, "Your donkey is being repaired?" Set face-palmed, "No, no, uuhhh, wow that was completely wrong..." "Go look it up then, I will speak to Asima" the high priest chuckled and let Set run off before turning back to the princess. |
Asima grinned as she watched, though she sombered quickly when Lakar turned to her. “Good morning…Have you had a chance to look at the dove yet?” She paused, before adding quickly, “If not, I understand…I know you’re busy…” |
"I had a quick look, but I haven't been able to surmise much yet" Lakar replied, "it's just a piece of a puzzle at the moment, I think it would be a lot more clear with the other pieces."
