"But that... that doesn't make any sense..." Solum stepped further into the room, kneeling by the fighting images and brushing bits of dirt and dust away to look closer. "That doesn't make any sense at all..."
|
Asima’s frown deepened, and she moved to stand next to Solum. “What doesn’t make sense?” |
"Malum spent so much of his effort, trying to make you hate him-Avidly trying to be hated by everyone in the royal family. He created rumors, went out of his way to lie and insult you all publicly as possible. He always told me that if he was ever going to die, he'd make sure it was by royal hands. So what you're saying, it just doesn't make sense. If he's known about this all along, why would he decide on one plan and then suddenly alter it just to have you fall for him and what? Live? Living has never been my brother's greatest agenda, it was only necessary to accomplish other goals for awhile."
|
”I hadn’t thought of that. If he had cared for me, though, why wouldn’t he tell me of this? S-Solum…” Asima began speaking quickly, crying once more. “I dun wanna fight Malum, or you! I dun wanna! I just want a normal life, get married someday, have babies! I just wanted Malum! I dun want to do all this! Make him stop asking me! I dun WANNA!” Childish, yes, but Asima felt as if she’d explode if she didn’t yell and scream and protest a bit. |
Solum looked at Asima sympathetically, "I can image he didn't tell you... because he didn't want to see you like this..." he stood and offered the princess a hug.
|
Asima shook her head, her knees shaking. Part of her wanted to turn away, but another part craved comfort, and she gripped Solum tightly in a hug. “So he left me to handle it on my own? If he had really loved…” She paused, and shook her head, “If he’d really cared for me, he would have been told me, so I could have supported him, and he could have comforted me! This isn’t right, Solum. I…I dunno if I can fight him.” |
Solum held her close, but he couldn't help but wonder, "... and what if it isn't him?"
|
”I don’t think I could fight you, either.” Asima stated, unclenching the male and rubbing her eyes. Time to force herself to be strong once again. “D-do you recognize those pillars? I believe they are in Frodan somewhere…” |
Solum looked back at the floor, "I think that's the ring of challenges actually..."
|
”I….see…” Asima stated, before sighing. “Would you like to come and speak to Lakar with me? You could say hi. Oh, and Sarah is still here at the palace, I believe.” |
"I'm not really in the mood for socializing" Solum admitted as he stepped back.
((And i finished my avatar now ^_^)) |
(Looks good. OMG! That was so funny! ‘Caarl!’) Asima frowned, but nodded. “Solum, can you tell if that is you or Malum?” |
((XD lol, there's a second one to.))
Solum shook his head, "I can't, it's too crude and we've actually worked quite hard on looking as identical as possible" |
(I know, I watched it! ^u^) The princess nodded slowly. “Are you alright?” |
"I'm as fine as I can be" Solum replied, running a hand through his ebony hair with his eyes closed. He let out a sigh before looking around the room again, "i wish I could tell you more"
|
”It’s fine. I wish it didn’t have to happen.” Asima muttered, “When are we leaving again?” |
Solum sighed, "it's so much more peaceful in this place..." he really didn't want to leave, but eventually he had to make a decision. If they never left, eventually someone would find him there, and it wouldn't be so peaceful any longer. "Tomorrow" the King of thieves stated at last, "and if you don't mind, I think I'll stay down here for awhile. It's actually quite nice and secluded, and I shouldn't need you guarding me if no one else is aware of it."
|
The princess nodded, lowering her head. “Alright. I’ll let my brother and Lakar know.” She turned, going up the stairway and shutting the door. She found her brother, and glanced around, wanting to make sure he wasn’t busy. (It sounds so Egyptian-ie. Reminds me of the rp all the time: |
Nemiah was hanging around his bedroom chambers, taking a bit of time to relax at the moment. He certainly seemed much happier lately with how well things were going.
|
”Hullo, Nemiah.” Asima stated wearily, forcing herself to smile at her brother. “Solum is back. He is wanting to leave tomorrow…Is that alright with you?” |
"Tomorrow? Ah" Nemiah sighed a little, "every time I finally get you back, off you go again." he gave a smile, "Well I hope you at least have fun."
|
…fun… Did Asima actually know the meaning of that word now? She nodded, and stepped forward to hug her brother. Going to Frodan, and unknowing if she was the woman in the mural…would it be the last she got to see her brother? The female sighed, then gave him a small wave, finally bounding out and heading to the temple, locating Lakar. “Please tell me you’ve found out more on the doves?” |
Nemiah gladly hugged her back and watched her disappear from view with a sigh.
Meanwhile, Lakar wasn't in his room, although Set was there, organizing a few things in his search for particular documents. "Hm? Oh, hey Asima" the boy smiled, "Lakar's not going to be around for awhile. He didn't say where he was headed but it was pretty last minute so it must be important. Anything I can help with? Not sure what I know about doves though..." |
Asima frowned, panic filling her. She didn’t want to go if those were supposed to even out some kind of odds…”Set?!” Asima groaned, and sighed, “Did he leave anything behind for me, two little doves, a black one and white one? Carvings? You have no idea what I went through for those!” Dear Ra, was that shrill voice truly hers? |
Set blinked and looked around the room. They weren't where Lakar had placed them not long before, "carved doves? Um, I haven't seen any here, maybe he took them with him?"
